We went prepared with buckets to scoop the mud up in & generally hoped for a laugh & the odd health benefit. The day did not disappoint nor did my mother's face on smelling what would be her only pamper session of the week! After drying to the point of cracking we went for a dip to wash it all away, realising at this point a sponge may have been a good idea, it does not come off as easy as we thought. Take old towels & swimwear as while it washes out it's not the easiest thing to remove & has caused staining. Warning unless you fancy a salt water flush of the irrigation type or going partially blind for a few minutes bring drinking water to wash off the face 😂. Personally I was extremely thirsty afterwards as it draws the toxins out & am glad I took extra drinking water. Bonus...ankles aren't swollen & ready for the next adventure day trip 🙂

Great experience! Took the kids down on a Thursday morning and it was relatively quiet. You will need to buy or take a bucket with you to collect the mud. We had one of the mud platforms pretty much to ourselves - you go in, collect some mud, come out and then lather yourself in it and then wait for it to bake. Some locals take themselves for a walk whilst this is happening but we just chilled and enjoyed the views. You’re not supposed to go into the water on the other side to wash off, you just stay on the one side and then wash it off in the water there once you’re done. The water is very salty so it’s great to just have a float around after you’ve washed off. There are toilets and beach cafe’s on the strip so we took ourselves off for a bit of breakfast straight after. Kids really enjoyed it and we felt great afterwards.

Beyond my expectations to how my skin felt afterwards! I’m skeptical to SPA and other things but after this experience I’m convinced that it gives result! My skin got so smooth everywhere I had mud on. The surface of the water was cold but the buttom was warm! I don’t mean pleasant cold, I mean warm! It smells a bit but the result was worth it! I don’t understand how others have been there 10 times and didn’t fell nothing. You must have doing it wrong for sure! Bare in mind that there is no shower, just the sea across. Absolutely beautiful place to visit, lovely walks and scenery. More so when we are blessed with good weather. Plenty of eateries and places to just sit and watch the world go by. Got some nice shots of the pink flamingos as a bonus. We didn't do the mud baths which was in the same waters as the wild life. Plenty of steps leading into the water which contain the rich soils and to be fair there were a few actually covering arms, legs and bodies.
