(Translated by Google) We had decided to rent a dinghy with this company by paying a deposit of €100 and blocking the very small boat for a day. Upon our arrival at the beach we immediately realized that the boat was really tiny (perhaps less than 5m) to accommodate 6 people + 1 skipper. Looking at the sea, we realized that it was not navigable at all and the cloudy sky and waves did not promise well. We therefore ask not to leave, but the owner (Mauro) tells us that the sea is easily navigable and that there would be no problems. We therefore decide to give up the whole day and opt for the half day to avoid problems at sea and Mauro points out to us that the departure time for the half day was at 9.30am with return at 1.40pm and not at 10am as for the whole day planned, in the meantime however it was already 10.30, we had to wait for his arrival before we could leave. They make us get on the small dinghy, without signing any contract, without showing any documents and we leave. We immediately realized that the sea was too rough to face a day on the boat, so after having fought for 1h 30min with waves of almost 2m, we decided, with the skipper, to return to the beach because no point was visitable.
Upon our arrival we immediately point out what happened and Mauro refuses to listen to our words, confirming that for him the sea was navigable (despite the red flags displayed on the beaches) and that we would have to pay the entire fee despite having experienced a misadventure putting our lives at risk. Shortly before we saw dinghies going out into the sea with families, children and inexperienced people, regardless of the dangers. They don't care what happens to you, the important thing is to cash in and send the tourists to sea despite everything.
In the end we received no apologies, only accusations and a €5 discount on fuel which, compared to €300, is something ridiculous.
I have reported all this to the Port Authority of Cagliari and I hope they will take action because by doing so they are not offering a service to tourists, but a day of discomfort, stress and fear!
Update: it's a shame that the port authority of Cagliari was amazed by what happened and after having told everything they immediately asked us to send all the documents.
As for our jobs, we also get up at 6am ALL YEAR ROUND, honestly. As regards your work, the rental contract requires the signature of both parties. Could you tell us which of us signed given that all of us did not do so nor were we asked for a document?
