Last week I visited Museo Casapueblo and it was really beautiful! Really nice house with a lot of hidden rooms. On the top floor there is a nice restaurant/ coffe with a balcony which has a great view over the ocea. The food was simple but really good! The women bathrooms where next to the entrance. On the top floor was also a room where you could see a film about Casapueblo! It's in Spanish but with English subtitles. You need to be able to walk good as it has a lof of stairs.

It feels like they are competing for the best gardin of flowers. The beach has lots of washrooms along the way. It was a nice walk from the road and I would enter the different beach entrances to see what they built as a malacon view or sometimes statues.

Rooms are old and dirty. Even the upgraded rooms have stained carpet and old disgusting linens. They really don't clean after each guest at the restaurant either. There are 4 museums included in the ticket, I loved them all, and my boyfriend who isn't a huge museum person really loved the museum of memories, which shows old packaging and memorabilia from the country/area. It was 250 pesos per person which I found good value, there is a great deal of information and specims on show. We are English speakers and whilst most of the explanations were in Spanish, the highlights had English explanations too. There is free WiFi so we could Google translate anything else we wanted.

Our expectations were high for this place. When we got there, though, we learned that what they do there was far beyond what we even thought was possible. The collection of sea relics they have there is astonishing. There is also an insectary, which is impressive. This place is a must go if you’re around Punta del Este. The landscape is absolutely beautiful, with heaps of nature, trees, lakes, birds and capybaras. You can easily walk around the place as it’s marked and with tracks very well look after, or there’s also an option to take a mini bus tour. The museum has masterpieces from the artist Pablo Atchugarry and some other pieces from different artists from all over the world. There’s also a cinema downstairs (which unfortunately was under repair the day that I went there). Lastly but not least, there’s a café where you can have a warm drink while you enjoy the view. I highly recommend everyone to go with plenty of time to enjoy there and explore the whole place, it will take you at least three hours. But it’s Totally worth it!
