What a beautiful hike. We did this hike in about 6 hours. I know it says 8-12 on different websites, but it wasn’t a bad hike at all. The last part before you get up to the lake is a lot of elevation in less than a mile. Lots of people on the hike and it’s very well marked.

One of my best hike ever. Within the same day we hiked up Laguna de Los Tres and down from El Chaltén. It was a long day hike. If you hike in summer as we did, you need to plan extra closes for when you’ll be at the top, pretty windy there and cold compare to town. The wind was so strong, that I’ve seen some backpack left on the ground being drafted away by it and even 3 of them were pushed beyond the cliff, gone… insane right?! So wrap and tight all your gears up!

Oh how I wished I had more time here. I did this hike at the end of Jan. We were originally planning to have a day break im between TDP and Fitz Roy, but the weather didn't look promising the next few says so we just went for it. It was so beautiful, we took a little longer then the 8 hrs, more like 8.5hr for us. We overworked our poor lil feet, it was tough on the way down. We didn't see the peak but the view was still breathtaking. We even saw a rainbow on the way up top! The elevation at the top was v steep, and I found it difficult to find the markers at times but if you show up during the day you'll have others to guide you. Still manageable in the dark, there's no pebbles or rocks for after the steep climb/descent (last hour to the top or first hour down) so you could do it with a night light.

Beautiful hike. We took a bus to hosteria el Pilar and then hiked to Fitzroy through the woods...doing this allowed us to then have enough time for the Madre e hija route and then up to Laguna overlooking Cerro Torre. The trek is stunning. The final climb isn’t as tough as advertised if you’re reasonably fit. We were lucky enough to encounter an Andean condor which literally flew over our head! Get up there early as the crowds were starting to build mid morning when we were descending.

Its an amazing day hike of Chalten. The last 1 hour ir steap and you need to be mentaly and physically ready for it. But on the way there were many people of different age groups (even around 60+ years old). I think Fitz Roy at some point maybe more spectacular than Torres Del Paine (Chile) but if you have time, visit two of them. Don't forget bottle of water (on the way you will find water sources), good shoes, good mood, and photo camera! You will need 7-8 hours of hiking + staying there for a while. We left at 9 and came back at 17. Staying for an hour-two on the top.

This is one of the hardest hikes I’ve done! Lots of varied scenery and actually quite flat for majority of the walk. Recommend poles for the scramble up to the top. Bring a warm hat the top is very windy!! Some toilets by the camp sites and I believe you can drink the glacier water if you run out.

Most incredible mountain views I've ever experienced. Totally worth camping out at Poincenot for a couple of days to wait for a good sunrise.

During winter it was really quite with most places closed. The experience is not about the town but rather the countryside around it, just amazingly beautiful.

However the way back was an absolute nightmare. The bus was a disaster, its rear suspensions were destroyed and every single asperity / bump on the road caused all the passengers (full bus) to be thrown out of their seats (videos as a proof). Also the driver was driving a crazy speeds (between 95 and 100 on a road limited to 60 km/h) to catch up the delay and avoid complaints. We went to the office to share our complaints and the lady there was very arrogant and disrespectful, telling us that we were the only one to have complained (not true). We asked for a refund of the return ticket, which they initially refused until we threatened them to go a file a complaint to the police station with the proofs of speeding and videos of the dangerous ride. They only gave us back 25% of the paid price. I can only recommend to choose another travel company and avoid this dangerous one.

We did the hike to Mirador del Cerro Torre and then further to Laguna Torre with our 10-month-old baby. This was the first 18 km hike we did with her and it was a good one to start with. Aside from the initial climb (about an hour or two) to the first lookout point (path and lookout were both very clearly signed), the rest of the walk was fairly flat. Lots of nice views and places to stop and feed our baby, particularly between kilometers 6 and 8. Beautiful view of the mountains at the end. The campground at the end is nothing but a small covered area, so don't expect any facilities (there is an outdoor toilet).

Most definitely one of the best views from El Chalten. This trail is about 3700 feet up and over 5 miles long. I didn't quite go to the very top, but you don't have to for the best views in my opinion. You never know what the weather in patagonia will be so bring lots of layers. All in all it took about four hours round trip with an extra hour or so at the top. Wasn't sure about visiting this place as doesn't look like much from the outside. As we walked along next to it we spotted flamingos in the distance in one of the lagoons so went in. It was well worth the entry fee. Lots of birds as well as the flamingos. Hawks of some sort swooping and flying around. If you don't like birds the walk itself is average but if you want to see birds then 5 star.

I went during Christmas holidays, so there were no guides but i still got to see flamingos amd other birds. There are information about the bird species at various spots in the reserve. And there are 2 viewing platforms to watch the flamingos. Get binoculars to watch them and a zoom telephoto lens to capture them on your camera. Also the place is not very far from the city so definitely worth a visit.
