A peaceful afternoon spent in a splendid location. The house itself is incredibly well looked and immaculate. The guides in each room are very helpful and more than happy to share their knowledge from the paintings, to which films and TV shows have been filmed at the house. The views from the house are beautiful and gardens incredibly well looked after. It wasn't busy at all and we could walk around at our own pace. Will certainly be visiting again.

I recently visited Hatfield House and Gardens, a captivating private-run estate that seamlessly blends history and natural beauty. We visited on Saturday for charity. Luckily weather was beautiful sunshine. We couldn’t go inside house they open for summer on April. But lots of flowers and still beautiful!!! We may come back for summer time ! We had a great fun weekend. And they have lots of car parking available.

Beautiful place to visit. Lovely to chat to guides around the house. The gardens are very pretty. It was too hot to explore them properly. But plenty of shade to sit and have a picnic. Nice cafe/restaurant. Finished off with a very tasty ice-cream.

Very disappointing "Christmas" Revels. Nothing festive about it. A few strange looking statues with animal heads and a look around a kitchen. No christmas stalls or decorations. Food inside was just as bad, tasteless and overpriced. If you are thinking of buying tickets, seriously don't bother.

Fabulous historical house. Stunning gardens. Steeped in history. Staff were great…very knowledgeable and passionate about Hatfield House and it’s past. Grounds are extensive. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful stately house with lovely out buildings and extensive grounds. Staff are courteous and the catering is tasty and reliable. Plus there are a few shops. We spent a day in conference (actually our second time, as it's an annual conference and we enjoyed the previous year so much the organisers chose to return). The house was closed but we had a nice half hour stroll in the grounds on a sunny autumn day. Lovely colours and a deep blue sky.

What a amazing experience at Hatfield house, I would like to say thank you for all the guides around the house, especially to Mr Dermont for the lovely conversation. Definitely this place is on my top 5! I highly recommend to everyone!!! Amazing architecture, the garden is fabulous, all the house is incredible! Oh, the library was my favourite 📚 Thanks!!!

Visited the Christmas Revels experience. It was very nicely done, but so little of it. Even at a leisurely pace, 30mins covered the event. £90+ for 3 adults and a car, poor value.

A beautiful and interesting place for a wonderful day out to a historical place of significance. The gardens are beautifully maintained, lovely to walk around, and the house has a lot of heritage features from various eras of Tudor, Stuarts, Edwardian and Victorian years. The staff are very well informed about the importance and meaning of all the various artworks including significant Elizabeth I portraits and furnishings within the house. The woodland walks look very adventurous. We went during a weekday and the place was not crowded. The ticket prices are a little steep but there are different concessions available and offers with train partnerships that can help with costs but definitely worth the visit.

Absolutely beautiful!! It was a gorgeous summer’s day and we explored as much as we could. The gardens are manicured and so well looked after. My favorite!! The house was so interesting with a guide to help explain whenever required. You could easily spend the entire day here wondering the grounds or inspecting the interior of the house. I’ve visited Hertfordshire for the last 20 years and this is the first time I’ve visited Hatfield House - I will definitely be visiting again!! Thank you to the family for welcoming visitors!!

Very interesting place for a visit. Wasn't too busy when we arrived around 11am on a Sunday. Each room in the house has a well informed guide only too eager to help answer any questions you might have. It was a bit pricey compared to other historical buildings we visited at £22 per person for the house and gardens. The gardens were beautiful but only one section is open to public so it was quite small for the price. Overall though happy we went.

Shopped all day got plenty of bargains fantastic place to shop with little ones, they can hire a kiddy car that you push around for shopping. Also ride some dinosaurs in Dino Park, and there is a soft play in the middle ...

I had the chance to visit the Galleria mall while I was in the UK, and I have to say it was an incredible experience. With two floors of shops, the mall provided a variety of shopping opportunities all under one roof and was immaculately clean. Shopping at Choice and Marks & Spencer was really fun for me. I enjoyed looking over their offerings and bought a few items of clothing after having a nice day. Overall, if you find yourself in the UK, I heartily suggest a trip to the Galleria in Hatfield. It's a fantastic area to shop, and the assortment of stores and level of cleanliness elevate the experience to the top tier.

I’ve known this place for two decades and it’s sad to see the decline of such a wonderful place with a great location. The Galleria used to be full of amazing shops, great restaurants and unique activities. Unfortunately, there are many empty shops, the usual chain restaurants and nothing really driving customers to the mall. The parking use to be free and now it’s paid. During weekdays, it’s mainly either empty or inhabited by student from the local university

Visited a long time after my first visit with friends. Lack of consumers apparent. Had.a good stroll around. Shops appear to be struggling here like the high streets in many places Needs something to liven it up and draw in customers. Car park,children's areas are good.

Well known brand shops, good selection of food restaurants and a soft play area for the kids at the ground floor, nice place 👍

Love a good mouch here. Some days I go home with loads of different finds and some days with nothing. The parking is cheap (get a Galleria card) and good coffee shops and restaurants too. There is soft play, the cinema is also attached to it so something for everyone

Haven't been here in a few years, and the place seems slightly less busy than it used to be, but there's still some decent shopping to be had here. Good job, Galleria!! 👍

A decent place to chill. It's also a shopper's paradise offering diverse stores, inviting ambiance, and a range of dining and entertainment options. Its spacious layout, attentive staff, and cleanliness ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists seeking a memorable shopping experience.

The gallery is a shopping center for brands, at discount prices. The location is convenient, right on the M1 motorway. Spacious parking lots, of 7 floors. Parking is paid through the app, very convenient. The place has a huge and successful playground to keep the kids busy. At the moment there are several stores closed. Most shops are open. There are discount branches of Skechers shoes, Clark shoes. In clothes there is a large M&S store. A good discount brand store, T K MAXX. Sports shops, shops for camping and extreme trips. A lot of cosmetic shops, perfumes.... a bookstore at a discount. Of course, for those who get tired, there is a huge coffee shop of the Costa Coffee chain. There is a bridge over the road, which leads to the wing of the cinemas and restaurants. On Saturday at noon the place was crowded with diners.

In my opinion it's a strange place with absolutely no atmosphere and not a very good range of shops. It is not surprising in the times we live in as the World Wide Web has destroyed the high street shopping experience. Enough of my rant make your own mind up if you can be bothered to make a visit.

Lots of outlet and the prices are attractive. Best part is the kids can go play in the GET WILD, you meet to pay a bit but the prices are good. Car park has a lot of slot.

A few decent shops that offer good value for money on clothes if you catch it right on the day. Never normally come away empty handed. Nice food places after all the shopping or cinema or kids places for them to let of some steam

It's an Odeon. The screen (2) was decent but the audio seemed to distort at high volume - although that could just be my ears. There was also an issue with scanning the QR code of my online ticket. However, the staff were polite and sorted it out for me. 👍 Overall, I had a decent experience.

Wonderful experience at the odean this morning. Bringing a young person; to watch sonic. We were served by a young man named Sam. 1st class! He was engaging and supportive of the young person I was with; understanding of their needs and being so very generous with his approach! I could not be more impressed or grateful! The whole team here this morning are superb! Thank you (especially Sam) for being great people!

Big place and clean. Very easy to get too located inside the Galleria. Prices for food 5.99 for medium popcorn but if you want the movie experience then why not have a treat. Plenty of movies on offer you can buy tickets inside or online the choice is yours.

Staff on the whole were polite and friendly. The don't know if the Costa there is under the Odeon name or the Costa one but they should probably not have a private conversation whilst customers are there as it doesn't give a good environment for the first bit a potential customer will see.

You can pay for popcorn and soft drinks when ordering online now. And nobody was checking tickets, which is good because it is always awkward getting your phone out when carrying popcorn and a drink. However, the row letters and steps were not illuminated. This made it difficult to find seating when we arrived a little late. The chairs could be more comfortable.

Brilliant audio. The premium recliner seats are amazing. Saw Dune 2 and the recliner seats made the 3 hour experience amazing. The only negative comments are: Really bad popcorn The screens in some cinemas are too high and the seat angle require you to flex you neck at a weird angle.

It's a multiplex cinema. It has sweets and popcorn at prices that would make an energy supplier blush. It is clean and efficient. The parking is convenient but expensive, and watch out for queues going through the drive-in McDonald's. Decent seats and screens.

Good cinema however on this trip the film failed to fill the screen. Informed the staff twice and both times I was told it would be sorted but it wasn't.

Just gone in to watch a film and it wasn't even cleaned. Had to move the cups our self. And it smells bad too. I do not recommend!

Lovely place to spent a lazy afternoon. A good selection of films and a fantastic selection of snacks. It is clean and well maintained. During half term it is always extremely busy. Parking 🅿 is always available pay and display. The cinema is located near a plethora of shops and restaurants.

Saw Wonka - Great film but was shocked at a nearly £20 ticket price....we did have recliner seats but not sure they warrant that kind of price. Otherwise the cinema is good - situated in the Galleria shopping centre with lots of parking nearby and a good selection of restaurants as well as the outlet shops.

Theatre is okay, we upgraded to premium seats, we were expecting recliner seats but just a head rest, waste of money just pay for standard seats and choose middle raw, comfy enough

Used to love this place. Went at the weekend, starters were great albeit took a while to come out, not that big a deal. Where do I even start with the mains. After waiting 1/1.5 hours they finally started to arrive. Cold, dry, terrible food. Inedible. Staff were not apologetic one bit, the burger my brother got looked WORSE than one from a Whetherspoons. No apology at all for the delay, terrible food and I’ll be honest fairly rude staff. After being a customer here for years, I’m struggling to see myself ever returning. Really sad, but there’s not really an excuse for the experience I had. Also, asked for some colouring for my kids, they said yes but just disappeared. Had to find it myself in the end! Pub itself is lovely though, if they sorted the food situation and staff then it would be 5 stars, just as my review was before I updated it.

We had a delightful and delicious family lunch for 14 members of our family on Saturday 30th December. The service and food were so good. Four of us need gluten free options and there is a separate non gluten menu giving an excellent choice of dishes. With ages ranging from grandparents, parents and seven grandchildren everybody enjoyed the atmosphere and excellent menu. Thank you to the very attentive and pleasant waiter and the chefs from all of us.

Very nice building and garden - plenty of room. Very efficient staff working well as a team. All staff was extremely helpful and competent. Very well maintained and clean. Wonderful pub/lucky find! Great staff and very good food. Had an Estrella/lime cordial and had Duck Confit for main. The duck was perfectly cooked, fell off the bone. Healthy portions and very reasonably priced. Would go again when passing through!

The service here is always so great thank you too your team for making my little family feel so welcome. Roast was great best roast potatoes we’ve had in ages. Great selection of drinks.

Took my Mum and my family here on a Sunday, great surroundings, excellent and quick service and the food was incredible. The portion sizes are huge, we chose the small fish and chips off the main menu and all I can say us they must bring the large out in a wheelbarrow, The prawn salad was also excellent. The kids incredibly still had room for dessert and they also looked great. Highly recommended.

Came here after our local pub had an emergency in the kitchen & what a pleasant find!!! Parking available. Very chic vibe & ample seating inside & outside. The sunday roast was amazing - extremely generous portions & tasted better than most places. We had the chicken roast & a portion of crispy chilli chicken as a starter. Reasonable pricing. Service was really good & didnt have to wait a considerable amount of time despite being pretty busy. 100% recommending & defo coming back

Food was great, decent size portions, as was the service, just a bit tricky to navigate my way around as I'm visually impaired and the lights aren't bright, which may suit others for atmosphere but not me for navigation as its a little narrow in places bit other than that a great place to dine out

Nice Christmas dinner here with family (from Christmas menu). Totally appreciate that a table of 12 is quite a few to organise, however, items were missed from plates and portions were not as generous as previous years when we've been. Also, compared to regular menu items which we were watching come from the kitchen, there seemed to be less care being given for what was coming out from the Christmas menu. Despite this, we did enjoy our meals and the atmosphere is always cosy here. Would always recommend but possibly not for a large group meal.

Went with the partner for a roast dinner on a Sunday and unfortunately had to send the food back as the meat, vegetables and potatoes were all too chewy for the partner and myself to enjoy. Nice spacious garden. Good place to come for a drink.

Loved it so much that we went back twice in one week. Delicious food - we really enjoyed the grazing plates. Dessert was excellent too. Really nice interior and very friendly, helpful staff. A charming and well renovated and refurbished working water mill that still produces authentic and high quality flour of several grades and types. The staff and resident miller are friendly and very informative. There are some fascinating exhibits of locally found Roman era artefacts and an art exhibition by local artists that regularly changes. Flour and some souvenirs are available for purchase and there are sometimes temporary stalls in the gardens.

Went to their open day and had a tour of the mill. Very interesting. Lovely cup of tea in the garden sitting under a wisteria covered pergola. Lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Very interesting visit. The miller was great he gave us a good talk on the history, answered all our questions demonstrated the workings of the mill and the water wheel. He gave us so much time and was such a friendly chap. There's a small art exhibition in one of the first rooms, live music outside. They are running murder mystery escape room adventures around the mill at the moment which looked like a lot of fun. We had a lovely cream tea in the he gardens. The scones are made with the flour from the mill. They are lovely. It's a great place for a few hours out. Car park, toilets and friendly staff.

Had a fantastic time at this mill. Staff were knowledgeable and welcoming. Miller demonstrated the operation of the watermill and gears for us even though they were not producing flour that day. Very informative. They had activities for small children. Miller answered all of our questions and was very friendly.

There are plenty of restored mills around, but very few are still actively milling corn to produce flour you can then purchase. This place is a rare treasure. Excellent from every aspect, but the warmth and enthusiasm of their team was memorable. Plentiful free parking, clean loos, superbly restored and lovingly maintained ancient fully working technology is presented in context and clearly seen and presented. Initial warm greeting from reception lady, tour conducted by the miller, and charisma of the catering lady with her perfect cream teas made our long trip to visit fully worthwhile. If you think you might find this place interesting, be assured you will. Highly recommended! Our dog enjoyed visiting too. Tea and coffee cafetières are “bottomless”, and it’s also worth visiting just to enjoy their cafe.

We were here for a wedding. The Miller came down and turned on the mill and took the time to show us round and talk to us. He was really knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The mill is set in lovely grounds. Lots of parking and clean facilities.

Fascinating place; wonderful to see it's still in use. Will come back for their famous cream tea to sample the home-milled flour in their scones!

What an absolute gem of a place this is. Nestled by the River Lea, it is not huge, but it is lovingly preserved and maintained by the wonderful team who run it. Very family oriented with some outstandingly imaginative activities on school holidays, it combines genuinely interesting history (the mill machinery dates from the 1760s and is still in use today) with a small but fascinating museum, interwoven with games, dress up, trails and a lovely outdoor space with cafe. If you live within a reasonable radius of WGC, this is a must visit destination with or without kids in tow. Superb!

It’s a nice place to see but most parts were closed during our visit. So be sure if those places are open or not if you want to see all parts. And during hot weather it’s a bit challenging to wander around. Bring your bottle of water and a hat or even an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun light.

Such a beautiful place and grounds! We had a tour with Elizabeth where Queen Elizabeth I grew up. Elizabeth was a fantastic story teller and captivated our children with the history. The tour is around an hour and it's so worth it. We've lived in the area for a while and have never been! We were so surprised about the incredible history and lovely place in Hatfield house. The weather unfortunately was not nice when we were there so we couldn't see the Christmas lights but looking forward to going back.

Helpful and friendly guides all over. The gardens and interiors are amazingly beautiful. Restaurant serves refreshing meals too.

Hatfield house is stunningly beautiful the staff are very knowledgeable and interesting especially the lady Sue in the library could have listened to her forever. The grounds , gardens are expansive. You will need more than one visit for this absolute gem.

A tour of the Old Palace and an entertaining talk/lecture from the incredibly personable Dermot about the Tudor history of the Palace and House made the visit fly by.

We attended during the October half term. We did the yellow trail woodland walk around the park. Lots of Halloween props and a pumpkin hunt. They also have a trailer ride that runs on the hour that takes you all across the park, woodland and over the Broadwater. We were lucky enough on the day to walk through a period set being filmed for Amazon Prime.

We enjoyed the Living Crafts Art event at Hatfield Park between 5th and 8th May 2023. The Living Crafts event offered fantastic experience on creating artwork and craft projects. A lot of handmade unique products from individual artists and craft people. Visitors can join a workshop to learn a new skill. It’s a absolutely amazing experience!

I spent an experience painting day at Hatfield Park. The sun was shining and the gardens are magnificent.

Barnet Car Club hold an Annual Car Show the second Sunday in September and we went along with our Morris Minor convertible. I had a walk in the grounds. It is an interesting garden with unusual fruit trees and wildflowers.

A great park with really good walkways, unbelievable trees and nature, and interesting stories. Definitely worth the price. You could spend days here. I had to deduct one star due to the missing benches. There are a few benches around the entrance to the park, but if you go for a walk there is not a single bench around. Would have been really helpful for my 79 year old mother. I do believe there is enough space to place a few benches along the walkways.

Beautiful and historic park surrounding the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I. Nearby is the historic town of St. Albans.

This is a review for the Christmas lights. They are terrible this year (2023). Nothing like last year’s great light display. Weird & small almost like a local Halloween thing. No guides as advertised. Avoid!

A little expensive but a great place to walk the dog and the wooded areas are fab in Autumn. Different walks are mapped out on the guide. A great place for a day or afternoon outing.

Hatfield Park is a perfect place for woodland walks, open countryside for picnics, bird watching, ancient trees and wild plants and shrubs, there are 3 different lengths of circular walks, yellow (short walk), Blue (medium walk) and red Long walk) all superbly signposted throughout, you'll experience beautiful woodlands, scenic open countryside and a beautiful lake, supporting all range of wildlife, swans, coots etc and water lillies. A superb day out for everyone and every age group.

Nice soft play. Limited to 1h. £6 for a 6-year-old. There is no charge for parents. There is sitting available for parents but no food or drink sold in there but you can bring your own. You need to book in advance as tickets can't be bought there. It was very busy on a week day during the holidays and tickets sold out and we had to buy them for the following day. All the installation was in very good condition. Staff friendly. Toilets nearby.

Went to galleria with my 2 year old on a weekday and the centre was dead. So we walked to the counter and the lady asked us if we have a booking I said no as we are not from this area it was just random. She goes book online and the next slot is an hour later. I asked why fo we need to book? Her answer was so we can have your sons name. Seriously? Why do you need my sons name? It doesn't make sense you are dead quite and you are turning customers away, I am sorry but I just find that very daft! Good luck with your business model 👍🏻

My little daughter 4 years old had so much fun, the only think I would like to improve this places is to replace someone part of the slide for some windows then you can see where is your child and also the kids don’t feel scared to try it, we will be back 😃🙌 The parking in this centre is free the first 3 hours.

Lots of fun for children and well supervised we go quite a lot as only hourly sessions so not too worn out but good fun

Not suitable for 3 year olds I wouldn't bother until they are at least 5 to play here. The under 3 area is poor! We only stayed half an hour because my son slipped on the plastic stairs and fell on his face .. I think padded stairs inside the play area would be a safer option like other jungle gyms have especially when running around in socks.

Buy tickets online to gain quick access. Love it as you can easily see the kids and also the staff are also very vigilant. Seating for patents gets full quickly but always a bench to share with someone. We drive from Bedfordshire to this so definitely recommend.

This is the place to be with children, on a rainy Saturday. The place is suitable for children over the age of 5, there are places for parents to sit around. The ticket must be bought in advance, on the venue's website. You can enter only with the QR that you receive on your cell phone, after payment. The price is £5 per hour. worth every penny. The adults can in the meantime work on the computer, drink coffee from the cafe next to the playground.

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon and it was empty had the whole place to ourselves which was nice. Two ladies sitting at the desk, chatting away to each-other and looked like they couldn’t be bothered to be there, went in and was a bit disappointed at the under 3’s playing area, there was not a lot to do at all, It’s definitely more suited to older kids I would say 5+. You can tell cleaning is awful as I found drink lids in the under 3s area which is so unsafe, got rid of it myself and checked around before putting my baby down. Other then that the place has plenty of seating area inside, is very spacious and cheaper then a lot of other soft play areas.

A great indoor playground. Get Wild! has time slots, which is a great way to manage the numbers, so the centre isn’t overcrowded. Parents have seating areas.

I go to this Wetherspoons on an irregular basis. Went in on Monday, decided to have a Guinness. Seeing it was Monday Club day. Ordered on the app. Delivered quickly. Perfectly poured. So impressed I had another one a bit later.

A really clean and well maintained Spoons. The ordering was quick and simple. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was cooked to perfection, which is the first time i can honestly say that about a Spoons pub! I was really impressed and we will definitely be coming back even though we live in London.

Visited on a Saturday and despite it not being too busy it felt a bit understaffed - the coffee machines were out of coffee and we ended up wiping our own table down. That being said the staff that served us were friendly enough and the food was served hot and was of a decent enough quality. It's not our favourite spoons but it is also not the worst

The food and the service is not bad. Given this budget price range, you can't expect more luxury and tasty compared to London high end pubs.

Just ate there for the first time and despite not being particularly busy, my (simple chicken burger) food arrived very late - about 20 mins after my colleague had eaten his. We were getting concerned about how long our parking ticket had left (and the wardens are absolutely focused there on ticketing). Food was very basic but tasted fine so no complaints there. Prices are very cheap, but seem to kind of get an appropriate experience for the money but I would rather have paid a bit more and got something better today.

Good place to have a drink and a bite. Reasonably priced also. Loads of parking but you need to be mindful of where you park. Avoid using the residents parking bay as ticket officers are quick to ticket. Parking is also free after 6 in the designated areas. Smoking area outside , for those who smoke.

Very clean and tidy. You order the items from your app at your table then all your order is delivered to your table. Good service.

The food tastes like cheap frozen ready meals. Very poor customer service. The atmosphere is dark, fewer customers. A good place for a quiet coffee or drink if you have it outside, where tables are not too sticky and you're away from the staff members. The car park is expensive.

Very good value and good service, we were served within 5 mins by a well spoken, very presentable young man who was polite and helpful. Couldn't ask for more. Recent visit 14/03/24 was just as good and the food was excellent with speedy service too. We live 30 miles away, so can't visit too often but will do so whenever possible.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received on Saturday night. We waited almost 40 minutes for our food, only to receive one wrong item. We then had to wait even longer for the correct meal to be brought out. While I understand that it was a busy Saturday night, the delay was not realy frustrating. However, what truly upset me was the interaction I had with one of your young female staff members. Instead of politely explaining the situation and asking us to leave at 8pm(because we had a kid), she rudely declared that everyone with children was being kicked out. This was not only disrespectful but also incredibly unprofessional. I expect all staff members to be trained to speak to customers with respect and courtesy. I must say, all the other staff members I interacted with before were lovely, polite, and welcoming. It is a shame that one negative interaction tainted my overall experience at your restaurant. I hope you will address this issue and ensure that all staff members are trained to handle similar situations more effectively in the future.

A nice afternoon lunch for my mate and myself, parking outside venue and the Parking Warden was brilliant ever so helpful as we are both Blue Badge Holders. The staff were very helpful which made the afternoon very pleasant for us.

Every time we visit this establishment they never have what we want. We have spent a lot of money here previously but the place has really taken a nose dive. No this, no that, "oh I'm sorry we are out of that at the moment" is all we've got for the last year or so. Not sure if management has changed but they need to sack whoever does the ordering. Won't be spending my money there anymore!

I waited over an hour for a simple chicken burger....which wasn't even that great. My dessert, which I ordered an hour AFTER my main course, arrived AT THE SAME TIME!! Drinks were arriving promptly, which was the only good thing. Even had someone come up to us and tell my partner "turn your cap around or lose it", which was both really impolite, and completely unnecessary, as it took them over 3 hours to say anything. Disgusting.

I went to Hatfield Swim Centre on Saturday 30th December with my 17 month old. The changing rooms were below par, there was litter in the family changing and generally everywhere just looked very tired. We packed our stuff away in the lockers and went to the baby pool. The pool was absolutely freezing. Having been many years ago I remember the smaller pools being very warm but this was absolutely not the case on Saturday. Both pools were so cold. My daughter had a warm wetsuit on but she was still shivering. We could only spend 10 minutes in the pool before having to get out because it was so cold. During our time there, it seems there was not an adult in site. The workforce were all teenagers. In fact most of them were more interested in smashing up something very loudly in a cupboard next to the baby pool. Safe to say I won’t be back.

Clean, fun, easy to book, easy to park and friendly welcome. It was our first visit to Hatfield Swim Centre and I was very impressed that we could park for free in Asda's car park for the couple of hours they permit. We had a nice welcome from the receptionist who explained where to go and what to do. The changing cubicles weren't too small for my 5 year old and I and the lockers were all working. As I write this it occurs to me that this shouldn't be a surprise but having visited plenty of UK swimming pools clean changing rooms, working lockers and working showers are not necessarily the norm. The children's pool was warm, big enough for splashing and practicing some swimming skills but allowed him to put his feet down at 1m depth. The toddlers splash area was a little tired with several elements not working or functioning but this didn't spoil his fun too much.

Fab pool and friendly staff. Overall pretty clean. Love the spa. But please please please tell people on the app if you have only one lane open. Tonight I went and all other lanes being used for swim school. As a result I was stuck behind slow coaches and kids playing in the shallow end

As a local resident, I was excited to visit Hatfield Leisure Center, expecting a rejuvenating and fun-filled day. However, my experience left me utterly disheartened and regretful. Here's why so called BETTER Hatfield Leisure Center earns the dubious honour of being the worst leisure center in England and probably the whole UK: Filthy Facilities: Upon entering, the first thing that struck me was the unkempt appearance of the entire center. The floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks, with sticky patches in several areas. The changing rooms were a breeding ground for bacteria, with foul odours that made me reconsider my decision to visit. The so-called "leisure" amenities were a joke. The pool water was murky and had a strange odour, indicating poor maintenance. The gym equipment seemed ancient and poorly maintained, with broken machines scattered around the area. Disinterested Staff: The staff at BETTER Hatfield Leisure Center appeared disinterested and lethargic. It took ages to get someone's attention, and even then, they seemed annoyed by my queries. The lifeguards were more engrossed in their issues than ensuring the safety of the swimmers, which is a serious concern for anyone concerned about their well-being. Overpriced Admission: Given the dismal state of the facilities, one would expect reasonable pricing. However, BETTER Hatfield Leisure Center charges exorbitant fees for entry, making it a complete rip-off. I felt cheated out of my hard-earned money for the subpar experience I received. Predatory Policy: Hidden within the fine print of Leisure Center's terms and conditions is a clause that grants them the power to confiscate all your paid money without offering any refund whatsoever. This exploitative policy is a blatant disregard for customer rights and serves as a warning sign of their disregard for customer satisfaction. Safety Hazards: Safety seemed to be the last thing on the management's mind. I noticed several potential hazards, from slippery floors around the pool area to exposed wires near the gym equipment. It's a disaster waiting to happen, and I fear for the safety of anyone who dares to visit this center. In conclusion, BETTER Hatfield Leisure Center is a disgrace to the concept of leisure centres. From its filthy facilities to its amenities and Predatory Policy to disinterested staff, there's nothing redeemable about this place. Save yourself the disappointment and steer clear of this sorry excuse for a leisure center.

Went to the a birthday party yesterday (16th April) at 4.15pm. It was literally 5 minutes just after the swimming poolside induction. There was no explanation about the different depths of the pool from each side (left hand side deeper towards the diving board). They do a 10 metre swim and then are left on their own. There were 5 life guards there and none of them noticed my daughter struggling to tread water and was gradually going more and more under water. Bear in mind that they had already recognised that my daughter had struggled with swimming 10 metre (as per their test) and they had not given the wrist band to use the diving board. I was luckily at poolside and grabbed a float quickly to throw in to her. The alternative was to jump in fully dressed which was plan B (it was a knife edge decision to do this). None of the life guards responded. They had poor observation skills and I spent the remainder of the time watching all the children whilst walking round with a float, particularly my own daughter. I absolutely do not recommend this place and consider it a serious health and safety issue. I will be speaking to the manager after the Easter weekend. Beware if you want to go there for a birthday party or otherwise, and absolutely under no circumstances leave your child / children in their care unattended as they are not competent to deal with the situation. You have been warned!!!

The most awful place I've ever been The gym is a farce; there is not much space, and only a few people can exercise in the gym. Showers are filthy and repulsive. Above all, the majority of the employees seem unhappy and really unpleasant. They treat you like you are the cause of all of their suffering. It appears that they provide a less expensive membership, but, like Ryanair, they charge you for any additional activity you want to have. They charge you for something they call "water splashing,", but if you want to dive, you have to book and pay separately for that, which is a complete joke. The managers are incompetent and rude. With a few good staff members, they cannot make any changes to improve the centre. Don't waste your money; having an inflatable pool at home is much better and cheaper than going to the Hatfield swimming centre. As for their gym, please don't bother; it's not worth it. There are far better and cheaper gyms around.

Very dirty changing rooms, bins overflowing, food on the floor. Swimming pool cold, far from ideal when taking a toddler to a pool. When questioned on conditions and rubbish was told it was council responsibility for bins.

I wouldn't recommend going. The gym is sub-standard compared to its local competition, but I could easily work with that. What bothered me is they're always finding some reason to shut. Bank holiday weekends they shut early, Fridays they shut early. They ask for £35 and end up shutting all the time. The staff are dreadful too, all teenagers who don't want to be there. One machine broke and wasn't fixed for weeks.

Rude. Don't do this don't do that. You can't use that pool. Snatching the balls and floats off the little one. Miserable staff. Why let us book if we can't use the kids pool??? Wasn't allowed in big pool. Wasn't allowed in kids pool as a swim lesson was going on. Even the swim coach was miserable. Ridiculous! Waste of money. Upset child and her friend. I even told the staff Don't tell me what to do. I've paid for my child to swim. Maybe next time. Don't let adults book of we aren't allowed to use the pool for our kids! Staff look about 15! Avoid avoid avoid.

Swimming pool was cold. We were told we weren’t allowed to get a float for our 7 year old despite four other people having one. Heard a lifeguard tell an old man that he’s not allowed to use a snorkel. Showers were cold. No parking. I had gone here as a child and remembered it being fantastic. It is definitely not the case anymore sadly. The only good thing there is that they have diving boards unlike most other pools.

The Hatfield Swimming Centre I recently visited was an incredibly disappointing experience. The facility itself lacked sufficient space, limiting the number of people who could effectively exercise. To make matters worse, the showers were disgustingly dirty and unappealing. However, what stood out the most was the demeanor of the majority of the employees. They appeared unhappy and treated customers with a remarkable level of unpleasantness, as if we were to blame for their own personal troubles. Although they advertise a more affordable membership, they follow a similar approach to budget airlines like Ryanair. They charge for any additional activities you wish to engage in, including a ludicrous fee they refer to as "water splashing." If you desire to go for a proper swim, you are required to separately book and pay for that privilege, which is quite frankly a complete joke. The managers of the facility are not only rude but also inept. Despite the presence of a few competent staff members, it seems impossible for them to bring about any positive changes to enhance the overall experience. My advice is to avoid wasting your hard-earned money on this establishment. Investing in an inflatable pool for your home would provide a far superior and more cost-effective experience than visiting the Hatfield swimming centre. As for their gym, it's simply not worth the bother. There are numerous other gyms available that offer superior services at more affordable prices.

This is a really nice pool to swim in, was real sur how good it was. To start with there is anfree carpark. There is a large clean changing area with lots of showers and toilets. There's also a spin dryer for costumes which is so handy. The pool is large with plenty of lanes. Be aware it's a 33m pool not 25m.

Fantastic food , very accommodating staff, great drinks & live music. loads of sitting area as well.

Overall...so so average-ish experience. Nice polite service upon arrival from drinks to food order. The area we sat was dark and cold. Food was average...bit better than Mossey Well. The Beef burger was okay...but dull. Could do with more salad and a portion of coleslaw. Beef was thick, juicy and well cooked (ordered well done). The half gherkin looked sad and should not be there. Don't know why the waitress asked how you like the beef cooked when by default should be cooked through -and-through to mitigate food poisoning. All burger chains and serving restaurants do not ask this question. For a steak thats fine...not when it's minced meat! Bacteria grows outside not inside the meat. Staff need training. The 1/2 Buttermilk Chicken was dry, crunchy and hard. Served with crisps! Shocking when the menu read, 'served with spicy seasoned potatoes...'. It certainly wasn't! For £22 was comical. Worth no more than £10. KFC serves better and juicier chicken. After the food was served...waitresses not bothered to ask us if the food had any issues etc. After we finished our average lunch...many waitresses walked past and looked at our table...why??? None of them came over to ask us the basic questions if we wanted dessert or 'is there anything else you like...'. Customer service, attention and generally food quality needs improving: your wages are paid by customers even your '12.5% discretionary service charge'.

Went here for lunch/dinner last evening. The food was gorgeous, which I've come to never expect from pubs, so that was a nice surprise! The plaice kiev was nice and moist, definitely a one to try, and the miso glazed salmon was surprisingly filling, not a rip off at all (unlike most places) and also not overdone, chips were very nice too. One of my cocktails wasn't mixed properly, which was disappointing, but it didn't dampen the experience at all. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, didn't come too soon or too late either about the food order, which people usually don't get right, so I found that impressive too. The rooms are nicely lit and there's a pleasant ambience to the place. I'm not a fan of old men pubs and I definitely wouldn't refer to this as one: all ages were present which was a nice change. Not too busy or packed, plenty of seating and lovely decoration. Will definitely be back for more food.

The Woodman on first appearances is a beautiful looking pub, spacious indoors with a lovely beer garden at the rear with sheltered and exposed areas for sun worshippers. Unfortunately, for me at least this where the good times stop. The drinks are ok but are hugely expensive especially compared to other equally as good pubs in the area. DO NOT be fooled by their happy hour. Most people assume this is the standard 2:1 cocktails that a lot of pubs offer. It is actually 10% off which came in at pence off. The food is whilst not bad is incredibly expensive. Most main meals average £15-£22, this puts this pub in line with restaurant prices. An example of pricing not being thought through is £38 for a sharer platter. That's £2 shy of £40 for some hummus, dips, and four drumsticks. It's a shame because the pub really is beautiful but do not get caught out by the silly prices. Save your money.

Fantastic pub in a great location! I went for lunch here with a friend a few days ago and can honestly say the Pork Chop on the Daily Special Menu was the best Pork Chop I’ve ever had! They should really consider keeping it on the menu permanently… Overall very satisfied with the level of service and quality of food at The Woodman. Would highly recommend!

Some of the best pub food we have had in a long time. Clearly got a good chef! Nicely decorated inside too. The only reason we haven't given it 5 stars is that it was quite an expensive menu for a pub. Whilst it was great food, it wasn't fine dining or service (nor would you expect it to be) so the price tag doesn't quite marry up. All in all though, really good food we couldn't fault.

I wasn't going to give a review but still don't understand the strange behavior of one of the waitresses middle aged with long loose hair where the rest of the young staff were fine and friendly first she only spoke to my partner ignoring me then when we ordered two lobsters she suggested we don't have to order two I wonder why she said that, was she implying we couldn't afford it? I got the impression that she was trying to show that she was from a higher society than us, although her appearance did not prove it at all. The pub looks very nice inside and the food was very tasty although the tables outside were very sticky.

Had an amazing experience at the woodman. The Shepherds Pie with mature cheddar on top was simply divine. Friendly staff and quick turn around for food. Would defiantly visit here again with the misses.

Sunday roast at the Woodman - had a chicken roast which felt very overpriced at £22 for the quality served. Served with sweetcorn mixed in amongst a jumble of veg which was alien for the dish and gave more of an impression of a frozen mixed veg rather than a typical hearty Sunday dinner Live music gave good a good atmosphere but the decor overall still felt lacking / more of a drinking pub rather than food

The food was outstanding! It’s the second time I’ve been dining at the Woodman and very impressed with the cuisine level. The service is lovely and efficient and they even had live music. Great ambiance, highly recommend!

Large pub with outdoor, covered outdoor and indoor seating. We stopped by for lunch. Service was good, we were seated quickly and the server was attentive and friendly. For a Saturday lunchtime they seemed quiet to me. Their was a seafood menu as well as a regular menu. The food was good and prices not bad for London.

Wow! Halloween party! the rooms look awesome. The bar staff all dressed up and had excellent service CHUCKY recommended us some zombie cocktails! That went down a treat🤩 thanks the woodman will be back again!!!

Had a great Xmas feast here, staff were great and brought the vibe. Music perfect and food was delicious. I had the lamb & the baked Alaska. Wowzers!!

BEST pub ever!!!! The Woodman has always been one of my favourite pubs with loads of fond memories. I’ve spent many nights out here, including New Years Eve! Therefore, me and my other half thought it would be the most perfect place to host our pre-wedding party at the weekend. Everything was absolutely perfect & it could have not flowed better! Tom (the owner) and his team went above and beyond for our party. They literally just told us to relax and enjoy our night & let them do all the work - which we did! Everyone had such a lovely time and we just couldn’t be more grateful!! ♥️

Went in today to have my first ever set of gels removed. The girl was unpleasant, constantly making me feel uncomfortable and hurting my skin by filing it as well as the nails. Came out 10/15 mins later with my nails looking an absolute mess. Gel polish still there in places and my nails totally roughed up with no care. To my knowledge gels should be soaked off, not filed off! I then had to buy products elsewhere to smooth my nails and they are so sensitive!! Any pressure on them and I’m in pain. I will never recommend you or return to your salon. Rude staff, bad service and no care at all in what you do. I was a walk in today and didn’t leave my information - so you won’t find me in your books. I wasn’t going to bother with a review but the pain I’m now having has made me post this. Take some care with peoples skin, for goodness sake.

Really wish I could give ZERO STARS. My husband gave me a mani pedi voucher worth £50. Had my appointment on March 27th everything went alright in the beginning until 3 staff members ganged up on me to pay extra £35 for gels. I kept saying no until they kept pursuing me to pay the extra until she talked me down to £15 so I said ok. By the time I got home every single gel on my fingers and toes pealed clean off! I went in to share this with them however was met with confrontation and refusal of a refund. The girl who first brought up paying extra for gel said she cannot issue refunds and to wait for her boss to call me. No call. Went back in the next day same girl was very argumentative saying her manager left me a message offering a £25 voucher to have something else done. I received no such phone message. We argued back and forth only to find out she did not have my correct number LOL. I also rejected the £25 voucher. A week has gone by still NO CALL. Today is April 5th. I went in, the manager is there this time and she is still saying she left me a message offering a £25 voucher which I already said I did not want. The manager even contradicted herself by saying she's used the same gels and had no issue then continued to say it was the gels not the procedure (make it make sense) so I won't get a full refund. Nandini's I should not have to beg for a refund when YOU messed up MY nails. You care more about the money than the service and that disgusts me. I'd feel less upset about it if I felt like you cared an ounce but you simply do not. My advice, put the £50 my husband gave you to get better products and train your employees. I've attached photos as well with the dates.

I went to get a full face thread excluding eyebrows. I told them what I wanted and was asked to sit and wait (waited around 20 mins which if fine). By the time they got to me it was time to close. They assumed it was just a eyebrow thread so they could quickly do it. However, I told them no it’s full face thread. The lady rushed it which meant she cut me multiple times. I have a party today and I’ve got cuts on my face. She blamed it on my hairs being thick but I’ve been getting threading done since a young age and never have been cut so much like that before. She applied so much pressure with the thread when I have sensitive skin which made it more painful than it already is. They said sorry and that they have kids to go back and look after. I understand but don’t take on another customer then if you want to finish on time. I was told next time I come they will take extra care and attention but they should be doing that regardless. I felt like they just wanted my money and me to be on my way. They didn’t even do a good job removing the hair, it’s all patchy. I won’t be going here again. I’ve been here a handful of times, it’s always been hit and miss but definitely a miss after that experience.

Popped in on a recommendation as needed a pedicure before going away. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They saw me straight away and G was fantastic, she ensured I was comfortable at all times and her foot massage left me refreshed and relaxed. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

Had a hair cut and burgandy colour highlights,and it came absolutely perfect. The store is very asthetic and a calm atmosphere. The staff is really appreciable. The main Lady Nandini has done my hair makeover so pretty and I am so happy with it. I truely suggest this for everyone. Surely I will visit again.

I had my micro blading semi permanent eyebrow done and it was perfect. The colour was natural looking and the shape was excellent. Nandini listened to me, she was patient and knowledgeable . I would definitely recommend.

I would 100% recommend Nandinis! I regularly visit to have my eyebrows threaded and I’m always so happy with them - everyone who works here is so welcoming and kind and they do such a good job! It also has a very relaxing atmosphere, and the location is so convenient :)

Nandani's salon is one of my favourite places where I always go to pamper myself. Their staff is so good and well-mannered, and I love there way of working. This place is highly recommended. I used to come to Nandinis for eyebrow threading a few years ago but became disappointed with the care taken to do them and they didn't look great. I then used another threading place in the same indoor area who again have staff recently that didn't take care when doing my eyebrows and I didn't like the shape at all, one eyebrow was made thinner than the other etc. I thought I would try Nandinis again on the off chance and I wasn't disappointed! Rashmeet done my eyebrows for me and she was fantastic. They haven't looked this good in ages! Very impressed and I will be back again and hopefully I have the same great experience again.

I had a lovely experience for my first treatment at Nandinis. They ladies were so lovely and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I had the Russian volume eyelashes and I was delighted with the result. This was my first ever time having lash extensions and they did a fantastic job. I was so pleased with the results and would highly recommend this salon to everyone 😀

Lovely, traditional, local pub. We live in the area and only recently visited for the first time. Becca was a warm host who gave us lots of insights into the history of the pub and information about the local brewers. It was so nice to see dogs welcome and regulars returning to be greeted on a first name basis.

Really quirky place in old Hatfield which I tripped over by accident. Oak beams and ales on tap, good family friendly atmosphere and fabulous service. I didn't try the food but hope to get back to the place soon.

Decent, Olde World boozer. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Resurrected by current management, so try to support them. Live music nights are particularly good. Stop by here if you possibly can.

Could be so much more for a beautiful old pub, too many years been unloved and I fear, now it's too far gone to save. The staff were pleasant and friendly and it appeared clean (or certainly should have been given the cleaning products and dusters strewn around the bar). The beer wasn't unpleasant but was certainly coming to the end of it's useful life. Not busy in the slightest and in its current guise I can't see much altering that unfortunately. I hope to be proved wrong in the future

It’s been updated over the years - but in my mind has lost something of its old Orginal character… the small pokey rooms and quirky seating- I understand why it’s been made larger and more convenient-as a kid I would sit tucked away in some corner and loved it. I’m glad to see it is still in operation as it would have been a travesty to see it pulled down - apart from Hatfield house up the road this is the only place to visit in Hatfield!

Nice pub, nice beer, I’m not sure about the food or if they still do it, they were doing bar snacks, looked good but never had them. Would have given five stars. But for the sitting at the bar thing. It’s ok when it quiet but when it’s busy and there are people sitting Both sides of the bar you can’t get near to be served, unless you stand between two people who are talking, or stand in the hatch space. Keep one side of the bar free for service please.

Came to this Beautiful traditional Pub yesterday in Old Hatfield with Hubby and family. Were locals and live in central Hatfield Recently refurbished and clean and tidy throughout. Small quirky rooms you can just imagine Queen Elizabeth 1 enjoying a pint and enjoy the warmth of the beautiful Beer Garden..once weather chirps up! Doggy friendly and child friendly. Staff behind bar lovely especially the young lady who gave my son a chocolate egg which he loved along with his drink. Even our dog loved the chew. Highly recommend 🙂😉🍺

Really nice atmosphere and drinks are reasonably priced. Also has a jukebox. Can get very cramped when it's busy.

Nice local coffee shop in uni building gets quite full around midday also handy to get local bus services around Hertfordshire

The good place to stay and enjoy at university of Hertfordshire. In this there are food courts and games and a theater🎥. And also university conduct many events in the Forum. One of the best place in Hatfield.

It's a nice place for parties and the lights and music system are very good and they have storage for your jackets or coats for £1 only.

Great venue at Slamdunk Fest! Alcohol is bloody expensive though. But security were good and kept things in order. Will be back again next year

Bustling. Has different sections - Coffee lounge, restaurant, store, cinema, etc. Each has varying ambience, but overall quality is good.

This is the entertainment centre of UH. They have a big venue where cheekys (night parties) are organised. There's a student shop where you can buy a little bit of everything, it's more like a little grocery store. The forum restaurant is quite big with a variety of food available and there's also subway and Starbucks inside. Overall it's great.

The worse club I’ve been too, felt discriminated and also stole my money. Bought some tickets with my boyfriend who is uni student for his freshers week, never been so thought it be fun. Got there and claimed me and my boyfriend was too drunk, we had about two drinks before leaving but was not even half way to drunk. They took one look at us and said we’re drunk, was confusing tbh and thought they were joking at first so carried on walking on. Until a security guard threatened to fight me! Absolutely appalling, think this club needs to either get new guards or get shut down. Was also spoken to like we were children, disgustingly rude.

Good place to visit like a student hub thats it

Dark interior, various beers on tap, music was a bit loud for comfortable conversation during the afternoon. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the toilets were in good condition on the day we visited. Food was okay.

The atmosphere was ok, nice pub. The staff were a little bit too much.. for instance taking our details and talking about the effect of covid, when were were just trying to take my dad for a few drinks on fathers day... and talk about something other than covid. It did put a little dampener on the afternoon as soon as we arrived, but we ended up enjoying the rest of our time there.

Ate there for the 1st time since referb. Was not the greatest as food was cold after waiting 45mins to come out and not really food busy. But I will say the way they delt with our complaint was fantastic so hats off to the way they delt with the situation

Lovely atmosphere excellent bar staff little expensive but to be expected from a mc mullen establishment great bar games UPDATE After a excellent first visit unfortunately had a really bad experience celebrating a friends birthday last night. Everything was going great until my friend was manhandled out of the premises for no apparent reason by the over zealous security staff much to the disappointment of bystanders who could see no reason why he was asked to leave unfortunately some people holding a sia badge think they are judge and jury to make matters worse my friend was repeatedly asked to throw the first punch in the car park. Not the best way to end a birthday celebration which spoilt the whole evening.for this reason I have withdrawn my 5 stars to 1 star but have given 5 stars for the pleasant bar staff. No wonder the place was half empty on a Friday night. I am in no hurry to return to the establishment

Worlds apart from what it used to be as the harrier! Friendly staff, tasty food - homemade burgers are awesome and pizzas! Chilled vibe it general... shuffle board, pool and big screens is all that one needs!

Superb little pub with a good choice of food, the staff have always been amazing and its a great place to chill on a warm day, Has good outside seating albeit not massive amounts.

Ruined a great local pub. Forcing locals out since the refurbishment, making them feel uncomfortable. Gone from a busy local pub to a empty wine saloon, shambles!

Nice pub, great pizza and loaded chips. We were allowed to take our dog in too.. He enjoyed one of the natural dog treats from the dog menu... We will definitely be back....

Hired function room Tap 2 for our daughters 21st birthday. 17th February 2024. A great room for larger style parties. (Ours approx 70) however would fit alot more. It has its own bar and separate toilets. Big dance floor! We had free reign to decorate the room as we wanted and hired our own dj and photo booth which the room has ample space to suit. All the food was ordered directly from them also which was a hot and tasty mixed buffet of freshly cooked pizza, wraps, nachos, wedges, fries and chicken strips. The pizzas and wraps were particularly amazing! Our party did spill out into the main pub but I can honestly say everyone mixed well and there was a nice atmosphere generally within the pub side. The manager Tristan was professional and accomodating to our needs whilst planning with excellent communication throughout the process. All of his team including security staff on the night were all extremely helpful and welcoming. We all had a really fun, stress free night! Would highly recommend!

We hired the hall for a photoshoot for my Mum's 80th. The hall is lovely to be in, clean and the host was very welcoming and helpful! Thank you, very much! We will be back!

Decent pub with sports on TV, pool and shuffleboard as well as board games. I can imagine great on a night out. Food was decent but took a bit long despite there being very few people in there (was a Tuesday night). Tables out the front but not many suitable tables to eat if there are more than 4 of you.

Much nicer establishment since becoming the Hatfield Tap. There is an adjacent room that can be hired out for all types of events - Dagda music is a top tier choice

Had a lovely few drinks and meal here!Felt very welcome and comfortable as a single lady. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely auditorium with great acoustics .Ideal for concerts, play and other musical shows. Only downside is there are no lifts for elderly or disabled people.

A pleasant pub. We didn't have food but the roast dinners that others had looked really good. The service was friendly but with 2 staff serving 2 bars the wait was slightly longer than you would like. Definitely would go again though.

Had an amazing experience at the hopfields tonight. The lasagne was the best in Hatfield. Served by Ellie and Cat and they were both professional and welcoming. A hidden gem in the community and will definitely be visiting again.

Waited ages (35 mins) for our Sunday roast. Service was appalling. All I can say is the roast was a disaster. Veg was boiled to an inch of its life and runny gravy and the pork was sliced paper thin. The only saving grace was the parsnips that were nicely done. Also music blaring out. Never again. I much preferred when it was under the old management when they offered 2 for one deal.

Lively and very noisy with sports screens but our biggest disappointment was the tiny portions for the sunday roast. It was ridiculously small like a childrens meal. Im not a huge eater but left still hungry. Quality of food was fine, but just not enough. Please review portion sizes...!

Went to hopfest (second year running). Great atmosphere, live music (the curfew). A great day out! Didn't try the food (next time). A1+❤️

First visit. Really impressed with the staff, food and drink. Very clean and tidy, just wished we lived in the area and not just visisitin. Would definitely be a regular attender.

Bearing in mind they had a sickness bug over the last few days in there, they were still open to the public for food. Meant to be a family pub but never would I bring my child into an open drug den. Absolute in your face and all over the place in the toilets. Have a bit of decency and be a bit discreet. The landlady clearly knows what goes on and clearly is fine with it as it has been reported to her multiple times. Toxic female staff with a chip on their shoulder. AVOID.

Very nice place to eat. Had Christmas lunch here and the food was amazing. Very helpfull staff with a very clean enviroment. My only (petty) negative is there was no fruit in the pink gin and lemonade which is a shame as that would have been better. Well fone Hopfields we will visit again soon.

Went yesterday and was treated terrible. All staffs were racist and we were the only table that were told to keep buying drinking if we wanted to stay but everyone else can sit and enjoy. Staffs kept staring and giving dirty looks and talking about us. Very racist place! Don’t recommend this place at all

Excellent food, and great location. Very homely and would definitely recommend.

Honestly one of the worst burgers I've ever had... the burger sauce wasn't nice, the burger meat looked like it was from the freezer section. Chips were tasteless. I was too exhausted to bother saying anything as I just thought, how could a place get a burger so wrong.. ate and left very disappointed. 2 stars are for the interior of the pub, which was pretty. Also there's only one toilet for women, which isnt great.
