The landscape is amazing but unfortunately there are roaring long boats all the time that keep going back and forth emitting very nasty smocks 💨 The water usually is nice and clean, very shallow and calm. Very good for sunset 🌅 I don't advise to go swimming that much since long boat risk to run over you 🥲 ... also not good for snorkelling 🤿

One can witness long tail boats over here. It may be difficult to swim in this beach which is not surrounded by long tail boats Normally this is the place as the base for phi phi Island tours. Apart from that , one can see beautiful sunsets and fire shows held almost every day

Beautiful beach of Krabi nearer to the market and lots of hotels and resorts. The beach is long, very picturesque and one can spend a lot of time here with family. Aorang beach is a never sleep street in the morning and night. Full of boutique hotel, stalls, restaurant and massage centre. It is very convenient for tourist and a safe place to visit. The beach so clean and the sea water is very clear. Suggest not to come in February. Too hot.

Great beach ⛱️ with awesome night market ❤️ at walking distance. At beach there is a free fire 🔥 show, you can tip as per your wish at the end of the show to the artists. Long boats 🚢 are available if you want a tour from here. Also there are several tours like 7 island tour etc. which you can book from beach side shops. Sea 🌊 shore is good for kids also as slope is very slow. Several restaurants with multiple cuisines like thai, mexican indian etc. are at walking distance. So many hotels are available nearby beacah itself. Cannabis shops are also at the beach side walkway if you want to go High 🤸. Overall wonderful experience ✨️ 🥰😍🤩😘.

A perfect place to catch beautiful sunsets. The beach has a lot more around. You can also find a promenade near the beach where you can stroll around. There are several shops and eateries on the street near the promenade. There is a fire show in the evening at the beach which is very interesting and entertaining. I suggest to not miss seeing this show. The area is always bustling with people around and is lively.

A very nice beach, with beautiful surroundings. But there are not so nice things too: the sewage water which in two places directly flows in the sea. For this reason I think it’s better to swim on Railay beach.

Ao Nang is simply stunning and it was even more so when we visited just around Christmas 2021. Hardly had any visitors/tourists and we pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves. You can go to nearby beaches from here (Railay, Phra Nang etc) the sunsets at Ao Nang beach are one of the best we have witnessed. Usually the beaches near to major towns are dirty but not this one. This one is very long beach with multiple entry points along the road. The extreme left part is the most beautiful. I enjoyed visiting specially late in the night and sit near the beach on the bench with a drink.

Its quite long beach and the main point for watching the sunset, walk, sit and relax, etc. It’s also where all taxi boats run from, so I don’t find the beach and the water clean enough. But the rock formations and the view to the other islands is beautiful.

Nice beach at Ao Nang. It's the main beach in town and the easiest accessible beach. It's also the beach from which you depart to Railay Beach. The vibe here is nice, especially during sunset! The sand was a bit rough though at where we sat and there are many boats parked in the middle of the beach.

This place is amazing! Great views, shops, massages, restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir shops, hotels all over along the road! The beach is very long, so it is never crowded, the sand is fine and the water is clear. To be in better condition, maibe go away from the pier(very noisy).

One of the worst beaches I have been to yet. The only good thing is the amazing view. The water is really dirty and it seems like the sewer ends in it directly (where the monkey trail starts). The sidewalk is full of trash that doesn’t seem to be picked up frequently. Nice to walk on the shore at night tho.

Simply amazing! Just a short walk from Railay beach which is crowded and full with boats, this beach feels like paradise! The water was very clear, the rocks are so beautiful. There is also a funny fertility cave. You can easily relax there all day, less shade though, bring sun screen and food/ drinks. Totally recommended!

Hands down, One of the best beaches I have ever experienced. Photos doesnt do justice. Have to experience it for real. About 15-20 mins walk from Sand Sea Resort, but mostly are shaded areas If you are sun or photo-sensitive (especially for kids), can swim to the area nearby the cliff/cave to avoid being fried up. Otherwise if you enjoy the sun, can always swim at the open area: Pristine, crystal clear waters and finely granulated sands which are friendly to your feet. Got schools of fish too, small and large. Ideal for snorkelling. Please do not miss this beach if you are ever in Railay. Wonderful experience.

What a beautiful cave and beach it is. You will definitely love it, one of the beautiful parts of your 4 Island tour of karabi. Very sceneric place for videos and photos. Here you will get 40-45 minutes to visit the place but here we can spend the complete day with the beauty of nature. Must place to visit!!!!!!!!

We rented two kayaks at Railay beach and kayaked over here. It was an incredible experience, crystal clear waters and the massive rock formations towering over the surface of the sea. We also kayaked through a couple of caves and ended up at the beach. This is one of the most spectacular spots in Thailand and I highly recommend visiting if you have time.

Spectacular and beautiful beach, cave and rocky Island. It is a very busy place, so I recommend to go during the morning. Be careful if you go into the water because many sharp rocks. From there, take the walking trail that bring you on the others side.. you won’t regret it

This beach was the best one in the area. I recommend going there and spend the whole day. The reason for that is that the water goes down during the day until late afternoon. You will see how the beach changes through the day and it’s beautiful. The way to the beach is quite easy and there is a lot of infrastructure for tourists, including bathrooms, kayaking, restaurants and a kiosk. You will be able to walk to the beach in front after 15:00 ~ 16:00 pm.

I've been staying on Railay for many years and this is always my favourite beach. The cliffs at each end are stunning as well as the clear blue waters. It's great here because there are no longer boats allowed in the area so it's a quiet tranquil beach. Unfortunately there are no food and beverage establishments on this beach so best bring your own drink and snacks. Of the rite aid beaches this one is the best during low tide because the water is still deep enough to swim near the beach.

If you bring your own drinks and food, I highly recommend this beach over the other two options. It offers a more serene and stunning environment, with fewer crowds. Depending on the time of day, you can enjoy walking or swimming to the nearby little island. Additionally, there are charming caves to explore, adding to the overall adventure. However, it is important to exercise caution with the monkeys. When food is left unattended, they can become quite bold and aggressive. It's best to keep a distance and not engage with them as they prioritize their quest for food.

The most beautiful beach I have ever been on. Water was warm. Fish were nibbling me. A swimming crab came and sat on my arm for a rest. I could sit there for hours just looking at the sea stacks and cliffs

Highly recommended when you are at Railey. Do not miss out on this beach when you are at Railey. Beautiful and clean beach even though there are quite a lot of people. If you want a quieter beach spot to rest, you have to brave the wave to walk to another side of the beach. Not too hard to walk over, but when the waves are strong it will be a little difficult. Probably the most beautiful beach I have had the pleasure of walking on. The water is warm and clear and calm. Unlike other beaches in the area it is swimmable even at low tide It's almost deserted before 10:00 and after 18:00. No boats!

It was one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. We were on our Four Island trip and our ultimate destination was Phra Nang beach. The Cave beach is surrounded by hills in a remote island on Gulf of Thailand. The place was secluded, quaint and peaceful. We also watched the sunset from there. The experience was marvelous.

Less than 10 minutes away from Railay Beach via a cute path, where, if lucky, you might spot monkeys climbing trees and walls. The landscape is breathtaking, featuring a long sandy beach. I recommend walking and settling towards the middle or end for a more serene atmosphere with fewer people around. There are plenty of spots to capture, and while you're there, you can also explore the Princess Cave at the entrance, although in my opinion it might not be particularly special.

Came here twice. Very clear water & good for snorkeling. You can see fish & corals if you choose the right spots. Can walk to the cliff in the sea on low tide and see a lot of corals.

Phra Nang Beach is no more than 800 meters long. The beach is beautifully situated. At high tide it becomes quite narrow, especially in the middle part. The sand on the beach is very fine. Conditions for swimming are very good (snorkeling is good). "Long boats" are parked mainly in the middle part of the beach. In high season the beach is very crowded. Paid showers and toilets are available at the entrance to the beach, close to the Princess Cave. In my opinion, Phra Nang Beach is a nice beach, worth visiting. Tourists who have not seen other beaches in Thailand will be delighted with it.

It is part of an extensive group of largely uninhabited and semi-habited islands along the western coast of Thailand. Koh Poda Island is a secluded island with beautiful scenery and a lack of fancy bars, restaurants, or beach resorts. You can enjoy activities like snorkeling but must arrange equipment from tour companies or bring their own. There is only a small bar and no restaurants, so you must make arrangements for lunch. Due to the abundance of monkeys, it is important to protect your belongings. For visiting : you can make planning in the morning, carrying valuables in a waterproof backpack, paying the 400 Baht entrance fee to park rangers, and packing lunch as there are no restaurants.

Highly recommend exploring the entire island, as it hosts multiple gorgeous sandy beaches all hosting incredible views of the many tropical islands that surround it. This place is truly a paradise and extremely photogenic, even walking through the interior through the palm tree forests rather than around the edge of the beach is a beautiful walk. Definitely spend as much time here as you can. Usually tours will visit this island, as well as the nearby sandbar islands if coming from Krabi, and coming from Phuket they might also include a visit to Krabi and Railay Beach (or it’s sister beach Phra Nang Beach).

The lack of information from the tour guide made us only focus on distributing lunch on this island without knowing if the object that must be visited on Koh Poda is its iconic rock. Again, we noticed it when we left the island.

You can reach easily Poda island from Aonang beach by boat, return ticket is 300 bhat and national park fee is additional 200. You will just have to wait while at least 6 people come for the same ride but in a season it is very quick, it is 15 minutes ride from Aonang. Better go there earlier in the morning beacause the last return is at 4pm. The same boat will wait for you for the way back. You will be taken at the front beach just for individual trips and probbably won't be busy. The beach at the other side is for islands excursions and is crowded with tours if you come after 12 pm. But you can walk there to buy drinks or ice cream, there is a park as well. You can ask your boat driver to take you at the secret beach for some fee you give him extra. It is beautiful little spot at the edge of Poda island good for snorkling, you will see a lot of fish there.

It is an island accessible only by boat from Ao Nang and Noppaharat Thara pier. I took a four-island day-trip package. This was the last spot. The tour agency arranged lunch here and gave a notable duration for having lunch and relaxation, and exploring the island. The island is not so big, but the spectacular view of the beach and limestone cliff. The island is a National park; there is an entry fee. Our ticket was included in the tour package.

This island is very beautiful. From ao nang it takes around 20 mins to get by long tail boat. I suggest you should go early before 10 am if youre taking a long tail boat because after that it starts getting crowded as the crowds who goes for a 4 island tours stops by for a lunch.

Wonderful and beautiful island. But same as we were, you have to set your expectations right when you are a tourist. You will most likely be there with lots of other tourists and their guides and speedboats. Nevertheless is this place an absolute dream of a tropical island. Pretty tiny island known for its sandy beach and swimming. Included in a lot of Phi phi Island tours, it's a nice stop. It does get very crowded and there aren't that many fish to see when snorkelling. Worth a 30-60 min stop max.

We had a group tour and this was one of the last attractions. The water is so warm, but the sand was not as I imagined. It was coral sand, which is not so tiny and pleasant as white sand, but still, I recommend you to visit this place. Absolute Paradise, one of the nicest beaches in Krabi & is probably included in different island tours. The waves are minimal & water is crystal clear. There is a restroom which can be used for a small few. The sand is soft & similar to most southern Thai beaches.

Stopped here as part of a three island tour and it was well worth the visit. We had the island to ourselves for the better part of an hour. This island is very clean and has crystal clear water. The islands is big but uninhabited. There are no shops here. So you can relax and swim peacefully here. this island has the clearest water of Thailand in my opinion, it’s a tropical island with white thin sand and blue and cristalline water. Temperature around 30degrees. Many people stop where their boat drop them off but you should walk around and go to the last beach of the island, it’s incredible

This should be the last venue for your island hopping trip. It's a less crowded island so you can enjoy more for your water activities here. Found this spot near one end of the beach because it's shady and you can spend your time lying down and listen to the sea wave. There are many tourist friendly hermit crab for you to take photos as well.

Coral reefs are so close to the shore, avid snorkellers will run wild here, though watch out for the jellyfish! Swimming near the shore went well, though deeper in the reefs the stings can come out of nowhere!

We visited as part of a tour to have a break and some lunch here. Normally you have to pay tourist-tax of 400 baht just to enter the island. The island is very clean, has plenty of shade and there are facilities and a snack shop. Clear waters and almost white beaches. A lot of other tourists, so finding a quiet spot can be difficult.

If you're longing for an idyllic escape with breathtaking scenery, Tub Islands should be at the top of your list. An absolute gem in the Andaman Sea! If you are lucky and if there is a low tide, you can walk on the sand bar to Chicken Island aswell which is a surreal experience

A very good island for snorkeling spot and sunset viewing. There is also a sandbridge that connects the island so that you can "walk on water"

Quite crowded with one shop in the center... An island you can Skip. Snorkeling is also very limited here. We got here by the 4 Island Trip with a speedboat for 1000 TBH pp including fees and food.

Ko Thap ( "Thap Island", sometimes spelled Tub is an island in Krabi Province, Thailand. This island is a member of the Poda Archipelago, which is composed of Poda Island, Tub Island, Mor Island and Kai Island. Locals refer to Tab Island as Koh Tub Wonderful place for Photography..its a heaven. We went there by boat which is available from Krabi. Must visit place 💫💫

This is a part of the four Island tour. This is very hard and make sure you use sunscreen. The place is worth visiting. You can spend almost an hour here. But there is nothing else than just enjoying the beach and relaxing. There are some food stalls.

Simply amazing! Just a short walk from Railay beach which is crowded and full with boats, this beach feels like paradise! The water was very clear, the rocks are so beautiful. There is also a funny fertility cave. You can easily relax there all day, less shade though, bring sun screen and food/ drinks. Totally recommended!

Hands down, One of the best beaches I have ever experienced. Photos doesnt do justice. Have to experience it for real. About 15-20 mins walk from Sand Sea Resort, but mostly are shaded areas If you are sun or photo-sensitive (especially for kids), can swim to the area nearby the cliff/cave to avoid being fried up. Otherwise if you enjoy the sun, can always swim at the open area: Pristine, crystal clear waters and finely granulated sands which are friendly to your feet. Got schools of fish too, small and large. Ideal for snorkelling. Please do not miss this beach if you are ever in Railay. Wonderful experience.

What a beautiful cave and beach it is. You will definitely love it, one of the beautiful parts of your 4 Island tour of karabi. Very sceneric place for videos and photos. Here you will get 40-45 minutes to visit the place but here we can spend the complete day with the beauty of nature. Must place to visit!!!!!!!!

We rented two kayaks at Railay beach and kayaked over here. It was an incredible experience, crystal clear waters and the massive rock formations towering over the surface of the sea. We also kayaked through a couple of caves and ended up at the beach. This is one of the most spectacular spots in Thailand and I highly recommend visiting if you have time.

Safe to swim with kids! Gorgeous, calm, and so safe to take your little ones to. Gets quite crowded during the holidays, but not overcrowded. Great vibe, Super relaxing. Must visit with a group!

Spectacular and beautiful beach, cave and rocky Island. It is a very busy place, so I recommend to go during the morning. Be careful if you go into the water because many sharp rocks. From there, take the walking trail that bring you on the others side.. you won’t regret it

This beach was the best one in the area. I recommend going there and spend the whole day. The reason for that is that the water goes down during the day until late afternoon. You will see how the beach changes through the day and it’s beautiful. The way to the beach is quite easy and there is a lot of infrastructure for tourists, including bathrooms, kayaking, restaurants and a kiosk. You will be able to walk to the beach in front after 15:00 ~ 16:00 pm.

One of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I love how this beach is secluded and more difficult to get to, which prevents crowds. The limestone cliffs surrounding this beach make it a truly surreal and amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Awesome beach. Beautiful fine sand and lovely water. Sheltered in a bay so no big waves really to be concerned about and a great place to either sunbathe or swim. Sunsets are beautiful. Well worth the visit.

Beautiful. A must see if in the region. We took a kayak for 200THB per hour, and drifted round the mountains through to the beach from Railay. We'll worth visiting.

I've been staying on Railay for many years and this is always my favourite beach. The cliffs at each end are stunning as well as the clear blue waters. It's great here because there are no longer boats allowed in the area so it's a quiet tranquil beach. Unfortunately there are no food and beverage establishments on this beach so best bring your own drink and snacks. Of the rite aid beaches this one is the best during low tide because the water is still deep enough to swim near the beach.

If you bring your own drinks and food, I highly recommend this beach over the other two options. It offers a more serene and stunning environment, with fewer crowds. Depending on the time of day, you can enjoy walking or swimming to the nearby little island. Additionally, there are charming caves to explore, adding to the overall adventure. However, it is important to exercise caution with the monkeys. When food is left unattended, they can become quite bold and aggressive. It's best to keep a distance and not engage with them as they prioritize their quest for food.

The most beautiful beach I have ever been on. Water was warm. Fish were nibbling me. A swimming crab came and sat on my arm for a rest. I could sit there for hours just looking at the sea stacks and cliffs

Highly recommended when you are at Railey. Do not miss out on this beach when you are at Railey. Beautiful and clean beach even though there are quite a lot of people. If you want a quieter beach spot to rest, you have to brave the wave to walk to another side of the beach. Not too hard to walk over, but when the waves are strong it will be a little difficult. Best spot to watch sunset as well.

Probably the most beautiful beach I have had the pleasure of walking on. The water is warm and clear and calm. Unlike other beaches in the area it is swimmable even at low tide It's almost deserted before 10:00 and after 18:00. No boats!

It was one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. We were on our Four Island trip and our ultimate destination was Phra Nang beach. The Cave beach is surrounded by hills in a remote island on Gulf of Thailand. The place was secluded, quaint and peaceful. We also watched the sunset from there. The experience was marvelous.

Less than 10 minutes away from Railay Beach via a cute path, where, if lucky, you might spot monkeys climbing trees and walls. The landscape is breathtaking, featuring a long sandy beach. I recommend walking and settling towards the middle or end for a more serene atmosphere with fewer people around. There are plenty of spots to capture, and while you're there, you can also explore the Princess Cave at the entrance, although in my opinion it might not be particularly special.

Came here twice. Very clear water & good for snorkeling. You can see fish & corals if you choose the right spots. Can walk to the cliff in the sea on low tide and see a lot of corals.

Phra Nang Beach is no more than 800 meters long. The beach is beautifully situated. At high tide it becomes quite narrow, especially in the middle part. The sand on the beach is very fine. Conditions for swimming are very good (snorkeling is good). "Long boats" are parked mainly in the middle part of the beach. In high season the beach is very crowded. Paid showers and toilets are available at the entrance to the beach, close to the Princess Cave. In my opinion, Phra Nang Beach is a nice beach, worth visiting. Tourists who have not seen other beaches in Thailand will be delighted with it.

Phra Nang Cave Beach is absolutely beautiful! The clear blue waters, soft sandy beaches, and impressive cliffs make for a picturesque scene.

Good beach for jogging/exercise. You just need to monitor the tide times as the is no beach at high tide , could do with a regular clean as lots of rubbish/ plastic bottles wash up every day ( not a good look)

Tremendous beach. Long, wide, clean, with paved shaded way to walk by. It is way better than Ao Nang beach.

A gorgeous beach for sunset strolls and one you can find the locals playing in the water with their families. The sand is primed for sunbathing and the water is great. It’s a semi commercial area where there are many known restaurants, shopping stalls and a night market where locals and tourist hang out seaside until the wee hours of the night. The levels are pretty straight so it’s safe for families with adult supervision. I can’t wait to visit this beach again in the near future.

If you go, choose the northern part of the beach, which is the only part that is not really developed. Here you have some nice trees where people relax in hammocks in the shade. The sea is relatively calm and can be VERY warm. There are no beach restaurants here. All the restaurants are set back next to the road. If you go all the way to the northern end it gets noisy due to the ships and ferries which leave from the pier. The southern 3/4 are very narrow and limited by a stone wall next to the street.

Beautiful, clean and quiet beach. But check tide times if you want to swim, as it drains out at low tide.

The absolute scenic landmark, the limestone cliffs, and the lagoons have stunning beauty—the best beach in Krabi. Noppharat Thara Pier is near the beaches. Ten minus walks from Noppharat Thara beach to reach the iconic sign Hatnoppharat Thara. The beach has eye-soothing views with a place for taking Instagram photos. This is the place that I want to go to Krabi, again.

It’s such a long stretch of lovely beach to walk along. I much prefer it to the other side as there’s always a lot less people on here.

A long beach in the Krabi area, that is very popular. If swimming or bathing, it is very safe because of the shallowness. This means it can take a lot of walking to get to enough water to swim in. If you just want to do some walking by a beach, 'Hat Noppharat Thara' has some good shaded pathways running its length. It's worth going to the pier at the end where the boats come and go. Very photogenic.

Nice view here and a walk or bike ride from Ao Nang hotels. Can also get motorboats to phi phi/4 island toor or also charter a private boat which is the best option. Proces are also clearly stated on the board and its easy to choose from there

We went to 4 islands on a Long Tail Boat : 1. The first island we went had a cave 2. Ko Poda Island 3. Chicken/Turkey island - don't remember the last island. All of these islands had a mesmerizing views.

Doesn’t look like the pictures tons of mosquitoes in the room and the room is very old bed is uncomfortable. Great location lots of things to do around so can easily walk about. The staff are very nice and friendly and the hotel is beachfront. The pool area is alright restaurant food is good but portion size is small. Affordable hotel but nothing fancy. You babe to return the key every time you leave the room because they only provide one key and it’s a big wooden one. Will update with more details later.

Nice hotel in Ao Nang just in front of the beach. Perfect location, you’re going to be near everything you need during your trip, restaurants, stores, bars, pharmacy, transport, etc. The room was very nice, good size, comfortable bed and pillows. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was very good also, served in an area with view to the beach. I would just add some more bread options. Staff was professional but could be friendlier, specially the ones at the reception. The pool is very good also. I really enjoyed my stay there and I would definitely book again.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. Their staff is very nice and helpful, and their restaurant is worth and surprisingly good. Breakfast is quite good and varied compared to most hotels of this category in Thailand. Just keep in mind that bars nearby keep loud music until 2 am every day, so bring your earplugs or stay awake until late. They had just renovated the bathroom in our room, but the rest of facilities need some update, it lived better days. Bed comfortable.

Wonderful place to stay. We stayed here while in Krabi area. Hotel is located just by the beach and next to the main shopping street with big choice of restaurants, bars and massage places. the room was very comfortable with a bit tired interior and cleanest upon arrival. pool was super refreshing with all the deck chairs around it and hammock. Very nice breakfast, everything fresh and delicious. Breakfast by the beach with morning view on the sea and boats. The staff is very helpful and accomodating, also nice and polite

Very nice hotel, clean and such a nice staff too. Very well located with the beach and city right outside the door. Pool is in the shadow all day, and since there’s a lot of trees surrounding it, there’s a lot of leafs and bugs in the water. They do clean it in the morning, but it gets quite dirt rather fast. Other than that, a very nice hotel.

We stayed at the sea view room and that room was amazing. There is just a small road between the beach and the resort and it seemed like our room was right on the beach. Due to the closeness to the beach the room has the best view of the sea and the Ao Nang beach.

Staff is super helpful. Rooms are a bit out dated. My AC was not as cool as our other room when set on the same temperature. So we had to sleep in a warmer room. It is close to the beach. Breakfast is catered to tourist taste and not local taste. Location is great. Next to the beach and around all tourist stuff.

Good location at the beach and near all restaurants, nice pool. Unfortunately the rooms are outdated and smelled after mildew with MANY mosquitoes (killed 8, but got bitten many times nevertheless). Also our room, located on the road side, was very noisy. Did not have a good sleep.

I loved staying at Vacation Village, the location is great and it is very close to the beach and places of interest. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The room was very spacious and had access to the pool area, they are also equipped with a small fridge and even have a hairdryer. The pool is very complete; It is surrounded by green, hammocks and sofas and they also have a restaurant service. Also note that they have a motorcycle rental service at only 250baths. I would repeat without a doubt!

This hotel is in a great location, right next to the beach and all the shops and restaurants. It has a very nice pool. Some rooms are very noisy when the night club is going however the girl at the desk changed our room when we complained about the loud music. The rooms are a little old and dated but are a good size.

Great place, wonderful main pool with beautiful lights at night and a slightly hidden second pool as well as super friendly staff. The pool is sourrounded by porches and balconies where each room has a pair of comfy chairs and a table to enjoy the view at the pool. The beach is right across the walking street and Ao Nang with it's bars and night life is right around you. Next 7-11 is about 5 minutes by foot. Breakfast is plentiful, tasty and served with a view at the beach/sea. You should be rather punctual though since the buffet decreases after about 10am although it is officially served until 10:30am. In the evening you can watch a wonderful sunset from this hotel or better from the beach right in front of it. All in all a beautiful location where I would absolutely book again.

This is a really good hotel, in a great location, right opposite the beach in Ao Nang. Good sized rooms, comfortable bed. I had a pool access room that had a great little deck area, with a couch & table and a couple of sun beds. You can walk out of your room & walk about 6 metres straight into the pool. Nice little restaurant out the front with ocean views. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved my stay here. The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I’m so grateful for their help checking in, booking tours, and getting a feel for the neighborhood. Nui at the front desk was very attentive and helpful. Everyone at the front desk was wonderful. The location is great! Very close to the beach, convenience stores, traditional shops and restaurants galore. The rooms were very, very comfortable and the facilities lovely. I will certainly be back. Thank you all so much for everything.

Rooms are bit dated and needs renovation.Apart from that our stay in Vacation Village was excellent. The location is cherry on top. Right at the heart of Ao nang and opposite of Ao nang beach. The vibe throughout was very positive. Will surely stay here again.

You’ll get to see a few monkeys on the way. Part of the trail that is more steep have wooden stairs. At the of the trail is a beach and before entering, the guard will ask for your vaccination certificate and have you write your info on a log book. We spent a couple of minutes in the sea and it gets quite wavy at times.

If you're looking for a fun and unique way to explore the Aonang area, I highly recommend checking out the Monkey Trail. The trail winds its way through some beautiful woods before opening up onto a stunning beach that's lined with restaurants and resorts. I actually preferred this beach to Aonang beach itself, as it was a bit quieter and more peaceful. Plus, there's always the possibility of running into some monkeys along the way, which is a really cool experience! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to spot any monkeys during my visit, but I still had a great time exploring the trail and taking in all the beautiful scenery. One thing to note is that some of the stairs along the trail were really steep, so it might not be the best choice for anyone with mobility issues. However, if you're up for a bit of a challenge, the views from the beach are definitely worth it! Another thing I would recommend is renting a moped to get to the trail - it makes it much easier to get around and explore the area. All in all, I would definitely recommend checking out the Monkey Trail if you're in the area - it's a great way to experience the natural beauty of the region and maybe even make some new furry friends along the way!

The beach is beautiful. It is also good to walk along the stairs because it leads to a beautiful bay. You should bring bananas to the monkeys (or buy them there) if you want to feed them. The monkeys are cute but be careful with them because they are very naughty. put all valuables in our bag because they like to steal!!

The stairs are quite rickety and VERY steep at points, would not recommend if you’re not stable on your feet. Although it’s a nice walk with some good views, and can stay on the beach to relax before you walk back the same way. Probably best to take some stable footwear with you, I was in slides and it wasn’t very stable or comfortable.

People thinking this is a hard trek clearly haven’t been to the tiger temple🤣 The monkeys are mainly at the start, sometimes on the trail. DO NOT FEED THEM, if you are stupid enough to do so, you’ll get fined. The trail is about 5 minutes of stairs up, flat then down, to a private beautiful beach.

No monkeys unfortunately but a nice walk through the woods. A little difficult to access in some places but not particularly difficult. You will come to a very nice beach on the other side, so bring swimwear.

Fun trail. Lots of monkeys in the begining of the trail. Before all the stairs. Its a 10/15 min depending of how many people you encounter. Its easy and minimal effort. Yes its not in the best conditions but its free? And takes you to a beautiful beach.

This trail is a path going to centara beach hotel. The path is small and little bit incline on the wooden steps. Just respect the monkeys on the way here they will not harm you anyways unless provoke.

The trails is okay but a little short. It is a very steep climb up a wobbly wooden steps. There are ropes to hold on to and sometimes a bamboo rail in case the terrain becomes a little unstable The trail hike included many breathtaking views of the sea. I Did not see too many monkeys on the trail but a small family of young troublemakers before we entered. I think it's worth the time if you are in the area. Never know what you might come across!

Very short hike, but quite steep up and down over the rock. High chance to see some monkeys. Just keep watching the trees near the end of the path before descending to the best beach in the area.

I do wish this trail was longer but it’s a very easy trek near the beach if you just want to see some monkeys. The steps can get very steep and rickety in places so make sure to wear good footwear. You’ll get up close with the monkeys but make sure to keep a close eye on your belonging-they know how to work a zipper

I visited this trail 2 times while I was in Ao Nang. I did not see any monkeys the first time, but I got really lucky a few days later when I decided to return! Tip #1 : Bring as much water as you can, you'll need it after walking up all the stairs there are and tip #2 : Hold your items if monkeys come near you as they are pretty agile thieves! The stairs and hand rails were shaky at some point so just be careful, I'd also recommend to wear shoes since it can get sweaty pretty fast and you definitely don't want to slip and fall!

You have to do this trail when visiting Krabi!! Damn it's beautiful especially when you get to the beach on the other side. Unbelievable really. No monkeys but worth it. Walked it a few times.

Worth doing for the exercise and a nice beach and possible drink at the end. I didn't see a single monkey on the route. On the beach you arrive at, a guard and dog appeared to be keeping any monkeys within the undergrowth at the base of the cliff. Some lovely scenery here for photographers et al. If you're old, take care as some portions of the trail are not good - loose sections, protruding nails and loose ropes.

Good, short trail with plenty of crab-eating/long-tailed macaques just enjoying themselves. The trail is about 10-20 minutes long but it can depend on how many other people are on it. There won’t be any impressive views and the monkeys are only present, at least when I went in February 2023, at the start of the trail by the water. Some parts are quite steep but it’s all very manageable. Keep in mind it’s not some well-protected trail and it’s possible, however unlikely, to fall down to potentially dangerous territory. I would not advise going inebriated or in bad weather. Note that there is/was someone at the end of the trail with a register to check-in. This is also the nearest easily accessible point with a rubbish bag!! The macaques are used to humans and generally keep to themselves, although if you get too close they seem to expect some food or something and might be a bit more adventurous (see pictures of one trying to snatch my camera 🥹).

Such a "relaxing" hiking. There is no need to rush and enjoy the view. You'll reach the end point at the private beach within more or less 20 minutes. When I was there last week, I didn't across any monkey at all. You will need to register upon arrival and departure from the end point.

Moderate just because a lot of the trail(bridge) is narrow and almost vertical stairs. Not terrible climb though and I’m a big dude (300lbs). Seen some posts about not feeding them so they’re not rude. I didn’t feed any of em and one of the little jerks jumped on me and nipped at my fingers when I covered the back of my neck. Other ones seemed to get mad when i grabbed the one on me. They jumped on a few people in a “not a cute monkey experience” kind of way. Make your self bigger to scare them back some. I held my hands out to my sides and would move toward them suddenly and they backed up. Wife also swung her hat across the air in front of me. Not a real big deal but not an overly fun experience.

If you're under 70, you can easily do this trail. It mainly consists of stairs, but if you come before noon it's rather quiet, and you can take plenty of breaks. You don't need hiking shoes either, that's overkill. Locals do it barefoot. It's rather short, offers plenty of nice views, and the monkeys are friendly in the sense that they really don't care about you. If you offer them water from your bottle, they might even stop for a drink, but you're not allowed to feed them :)

Some very cute small monkeys running around being cheeky! The trail itself, while short, is a small challenge due to the steep incline and declines on either end via some questionable steps but non the less a fun experience. Only saw monkeys at the close end of the trail, so if you’re going for the monkeys, maybe don’t go the whole way to exhaust yourself! I also saw two monitor lizards whilst there under the bridge which was awesome!

Really fun way to spend 30 mins or so. You do have to cross a bridge over an open sewer to get to the start of the trail, which smells unpleasant for a few minutes, but the rest of the trail is fine. I broke my flip flops doing the walk so would advise you wear sturdier shoes or sandals. The monkeys all gathered by the start of the trail so we saw loads on the steepest bit and then none the rest of the way. When you get to the end you sign in with a security guard (free of charge) and then can enjoy Pai Plong beach. It was too hot for us so we returned to Ao Nang beach and enjoyed a fresh coconut by one of the beach stalls. A lovely reward for a somewhat sweaty hike (we went at the end of March when it was hoooottt). Definitely do this if you’re in the area.

It’s a nice trail but keep in mind not really easy. Quite steep and not safe. Lots of space between steps, easy to slip. It’s fun just be really really careful. We were able to see monkeys, very cute and fun just don’t feed them like many others tourists do.

Great trail that starts at the end of the beach by a small temple and passes around and over the headland to drop finally down to the beach and the Centara resort. The trail is fun although it’s narrow in places making it difficult when there’s lots of people. We saw plenty of monkeys at the entrance near the bridge but afterwards didn’t see many although we enjoyed the nice walk and views. Some of the wooden steps have broken or rotted away and some of the bamboo hand rails are broken or have come disconnected which should be fixed for safety for families but overall it’s a nice walk and good to get some great pics of the monkeys.

Secret monkey trail.. Not so secret but we went along.. Tough climb in some parts and at first didn't see any monkeys. There's a private beach at the end which we didn't stay for long because it became crowded and we realised the beach half way through was better. Monkeys can be hard to find but depends on the time of day you go. We went around 10am. Bring water.. It's hot!

Stopped here as part of a 7 island tour. The resemblance to a chicken is pretty cool, though we didn’t get to actually explore the island. It’s definitely funny and worth it as part of a tour but not a place I would venture to on my own as there are many other options for snorkelling, relaxing, and beach activities around!

Beautiful place for snorkelling with lots of marine creatures and colorful fishes. The corals were really beautiful. Out of 7 island trips visited, this was the best spot for snorkelling though being deep compared to other places. I really loved this place

The island looks like the shape of a chicken and hence the name. The boat tour is amazing. You can visit the Ko Kai island, have some relax time and enjoy the beach and while coming you can see the island beautiful view.

1. Beach is small but very picturesque. 2. It gets submerged during high tide. 3. The water is very clear and amazing for snorkeling and sun bathing. There are multiple beaches in chicken island, I went to just one of the them. The experience was amazing. It's part of the four island tour. So it's one of the most popular destination there. However if you're running short on time, you can avoid this tour altogether and go to Hong island instead.

Koh Gai/Koh Kai - the Chicken Island gets its name because of the uncanny resemblance for looking like a chicken's head. It's often part of the 4 Island tour. Most operators stop for a quick visit and snorkel around the island. The island itself doesn't have much to offer.

It is named because of a mountain which appears like a chicken. That's not something great but it is the same area where all the boats will take you for snorkeling. The snorkeling experience is very good and safe and is a must try. You can actually see fishes.

We hire longtail boat for us and spend here a lot of time - snorkelling :) and we did well, with hop on hop off tour you don't have that opportunity. And it worth it, even the price is cheaper for 2 prs. You can hire your boat at any dock, price should not be higher than 2500 thb, but it can be cheaper.

You won’t get to step on Chiken Island, depends on your guide. The best thing here you can do is snorkelling. If you are afraid of water or don’t know how to swim, don’t miss this opportunity. Take a life jacket and dive in, the guides are good, they’ll help you out. Once you are inside water you’ll feel confident. Make sure you don’t go deep or you might hurt yourself. Stay away from Sea Gin, it’s poisonous and you’ll be in pain till your whole stay in Thailand.

Very beautiful island, you will have a very good experience for being here. We traveled through boat, pre booking must do before visiting karabi 4 Island tour. I guess you will get more discount if you book from any shop in karabi instead of pre booking from your own country. You can notice Chicken shape in the image thats why we called it chicken islands.

Almost every island on my four island in Krabi has been very beautiful. Chicken island has got its name as the hill near the island has a shape of the chicken. Although we did not get down on the island. We had sipped our boat nearby for a swim. It is again one of the beautiful islands. The name Chicken Island is because the island resembles just the shape of a chicken head. You won't step on this island. You can enjoy the beauty of the boat. We took a four-island tour, and our boat took us there and gave us some time to take pictures. That day there were big waves in the sea, and the boat was shaking; it was difficult to stand and take photos.

Not because of the many chickens on the island but because of the unique shape of the mountain peak that resembles a chicken. This time we didn't lean back but stopped for a moment in the ocean. The guide gives 30 minutes for those who want to swim or snorkel. Unfortunately it is not rented out or provided snorkeling equipment here. There also no information in advance that we would have a chance to snorkel. As a result, we are quite satisfied with feeding the fish because our snack are suitable for fish tastes :D. The fish types here are no different from Karimun Java and Thousand Islands Indonesia. The kind that would summon the herd if anyone fed them :D

Great tourist attraction to visit if you have spare time in Krabi. I’m glad I went but would go again. There was only 1 large fish when I went which was disappointing because I thought there would be more. But happy with the large fish I saw. Entrance fee is 50k and it included fish food.

Awesome unplanned visit - expect only a simple catfish farm but there’s more to it. Tortoises, crocodiles, fish feeding, swim in the clear water running streams with a lovely bottle of Chang beer - a very welcoming respite to the heat. Recommended

Good place for a very quick jungle experience. Just be careful. There are spiders on some of the leaves and during our trip there was a bonus animal not owner by the farm a green 🐍 . Never shake any plants. Watch your step and look at cob webs.

Not a must see in Krabi but if you have free time, really fun place to go. The entrance fee is only 50 and it gives you some food for fishes. Do bring mosquito repellent as the place is a bit rundown probably due to COVID. I don't think you need special equipment as mentioned by other users. Flip flops are fine but the path is bit muddy that's all. Easy for children as. We didn't know there was a HUGe pig and got scared as it was walking towards us. But I the end it went its own way and took a mud bath in front of us. We missed the crocodile and the turtles as we didn't there were some and fled as we forgot mosquito repellent. The fishes are impressive.

This place really is a hidden gem. Bizarre collection of animals including the little monkey who practically runs the front desk. Lovely family who own the place. Please do not miss the slightly hidden swimming area, fresh water waterfall under a bridge, deep enough to jump in. Amazing!

were there today with our 2 children - the lady is very friendly and helpful. the tour is absolutely captivating ... you never know what you might discover around the next bend. definitely a different experience than in a zoo - the big fish is amazing. 50 baht admission including food

It's unbelievably run down but somehow it was still interesting, maybe because you think you'll get tagged by a snake at any moment, there's a few rickety bridges and lots of jungle, I think if they re-classified as a jungle walk rather than a 'farm' and removed the sad crocodile and terrapins then it would be a lot more acceptable. Worth the 50 baht but do cover yourselves in insect repellant!

What a hidden gem! If you are renting scooters in Ao Nang, take a trip up here! Only 50 bhat to enter the most insane back yard. Absolutely loved the nature and the owners are awesome.

I found this place on TikTok. It was far from the beach, but why not try something new? It's a nice little adventure to visit. However, be cautious of the owner's monkey as it seems like he doesn't like women. I got slapped by him, hahaha

This place and trail look abandoned but it’s a good place to explore and enjoy short nature trail before reaching the catfish pond. The fish is really big and looked healthy especially the Araipama. Not many animal left here except for the fish farm. Ticket for adults is 50 baht and 30 baht for children including the fish pallets.

Don’t come here expecting a polished animal farm. However you will see amazing plants and animals. The monkey at reception is very friendly and the people are amazing. For me this is the best attraction in Krabi

Amazing even in rainy weather! Highly recommended for adventures looking for a bit of a different style of zoo. Staff are incredibly welcoming and polite. Entry is affordable, the animals are stunning and out of this world. Biggest fresh water fish I've ever seen up close. It's not wheelchair accessible, and slipping is possible, so wear good shoes for the occasion and stay on the path!

Refreshing shadows of the forest and river will make the walk pleasant and interesting. Several animals there are really worth seeing. The park is a home for the cute monkey too 😍 Do follow the instructions ... 😉

This place was a fever dream it was so funny. I’m not sure what this is supposed to be but it’s an experience for sure. A guy with a monkey gives you fish food and no further explanation- you go on your way. It was pretty fun and peaceful walking through the jungle they built and seeing the art was nice. There was a turkey that followed us around and I enjoyed that lol and it was cool to see the giant fish. Good vibes, it’s a quick walk and took us about 20-30mins. The monkey seemed happy and playful, he was rolling around and we could pet him. Definitely use bug spray before entering. 4 stars because the crocodile looked a little sad but otherwise this is a cool place to stop at if you know what you’re expecting.

This place is NOT a ‘hidden gem’. This place is unethical and cruel. Animals kept in tiny unclean cages and they offer elephant riding. AVOID if you don’t want to support/feed money into animal exploitation. We should have done our research :(

This is a super interesting and quirky little jungle path with a range of weird and unexpected spots along the way. The giant catfish are obviously a highlight, but also came across a crocodile, tortoises, spiders, a wild looking pig and some good scenery. Unexpectedly worthwhile and good value for 100bht per adult and 50bht per kid.

I’ve watched fights all over Thailand and these had to be some of the worst fights I’ve seen. This stadium only exists to take tourists money. 90% of the fighters are under 18 and not very skilled, even their corners were all kids. Unless you’re only staying in Krabi and dying to see Muay Thai I suggest saving your money. Much better fights in other cities. 4/9 of the fights I watched were kids under 12 even if they were fighting in weight classes above 45kg. What a waste of time and money.

Ok-fights, what you would expect from a smaller arena. Don’t expect Bangkok quality fights. Close to the night market and easy to reach. Sadly there was no live band playing the traditional music that sets the tempo. :(

We were there at the classic monday fight night and paid 1200 thb per person for normal seats, there is another option for sofa spots for 1500 thb. But even the normal ones aren't worth the price.. typical exploitation of tourists.. show is not pro class, seats are in increadible bad condition. What is rly fun, is to watch the Thais betting on the fights and shouting each other! That rly brought some atmosphere in the hall, otherwise NOT recommended for that high price. They should start to think in a more sustainable way to deal with tourists.

All range of fights from 10 years old to 30, the sofa vip option is 1500bht or general seat 1200bht, , really something different to do if your mind is open and don’t get upset by the little ones fighting ( keep in mind is the national sport )

Rip off prices for tourists and 6 of the 8 fights were kids. This was not an evening well spent. Better to go to a fight in a different city.

Disappointed. Tickets were 1500 baht each (ringside) 6 of the 8 fights were young kids, most not going past the 1st round. Before buying, check who is fighting as this will massively impact your experience.

This is the 3rd gym I went to in the Ao Nang area and it is by far my favorite. Unlike some of the other tourist gyms in the area which are over crowded, you get hands on experience with the Thai trainers themselves. We even sparred with the trainers at the end to bring everything together. Had a blast, learned a lot and felt very welcome. I will definitely be back here for training.

For those who complain about child violence: Professional Muay Thai fighters are not born adults. They want to be in there. It is a matter of pride. Whatever you did as a child to show you could do it well. This is what they do in their culture. What you do doesn’t make sense to them either. If you don’t respect another culture, stay out of their country. I have nothing but respect for these little men! 👍

It's Christmas Eve in Ao Nang and we decided to see watch live Thai boxing and it was as real it can get. My wife isn't a fan of boxing or whatsoever but she really loved it! Seeing live and close up front is so different watching on TV. Sitting ringside in comfy armchairs and experiencing the ambience of the stadium was truly a life time experience. The ticket costed 1500 Baht per person but it's worth it.

This felt like exploitation of violence to children. I regret going. We went on a Saturday night. Many of the fights were amoung kids under the age of 18 barely 100lbs. I highly recommend the owners reevaluate who they put into the ring for a show. These kids are too young and too small.

Cannot recommend this gym enough. If you’re looking for a gym that is not a tourist one, this is the one. This is a proper Thai gym. We trained for about 2 weeks and we mostly trained with other Thais. Coaches Yod and Mo made us feel like we’re at home instantly. When they train you, it feels like they are sharing with you a part of them. Cannot wait to be back 😊

It wasn’t very busy, so the two of us had a private show, 600 bth @ person, but they are working with poisonous snakes. It was a excellent show if you like these creatures.

Had a brilliant time at this place with my partner. The lads here are stone mad - genuinely absolutely mental. They put on an incredible show and it’s very entertaining. Well worth the price of admission and you get some amazing pictures. The lads working here help out a lot and offer to take a million pictures which is great for the reminder. Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to do something different.

We had the best time!! The staff was so kind and engaging. They took so much time with our group, making sure we had all the pictures we would want. The snakes were intimidating, but so awesome to come face to face with. We made great memories today! Wonderful place for a Snake lover, this place has about 20 King Cobras and a variety of other snakes and reptiles. The staff is very friendly and makes a novice comfortable in the new environment. The snake show was even more interesting, with such antics and intriguing maneuvers. P.S.: none of the snakes are defanged, so each one is equally capable of putting that venom in to them or anyone who is not following the safety measures. The park houses a 5 metering long King Cobra that as a regular diet of other snakes. The show you the process of milling the venom. Overall a great place for kids and adults to visit and take away your fears of the beautiful creatures, that are highly misunderstood and killed in vain

Nice show ...It cost around 500 BHT pp . But worth it. The guide speaks English very well and very interactive,funny. They show other snakes and King Cobras and play bravely with the poisonous , 4 m long King Kobras.

One to add to your bucket list. Surreal experience with poisonous snakes. Not for the faint hearted. Please make sure your children don't go wandering on their own while visiting. Excellent experience, performance, entertainment and dialogue with experienced snake handlers. Full explanation of the snakes and educational as well. Got to do it at least once. Snakes were healthy and well looked after.

Amazing day today visiting the snake park. Had an amazing tour around the facilities and shown the various snakes they have here by Owen who was an amazing host. Really knowledgeable about each species of snakes, my daughter really enjoyed it. Then the main show itself was really good and the other snake handlers and commentator were hilarious. Highly recommend visiting here with your family if your staying in krabi.

Must go for family with children in Krabi. Full fun for 2 hours. Very near the beach. Entry ticket 600 Bhat , small children free. Nice clean and safe. Highlight : See King Cobra in action. Total number of snakes on display : More than 10 including python, viper, cobra, krait, tree snake, mountain snake. Touch and pictures with all of them. Clean toilet on site. Caution: Please carry water and snacks as not available there.

You can come at any time and wait for the show at 9, 11, 13 and 17 o'clock. we arrived before 9 and were shown the local terrarium, various snakes and animals, and photographed with a python. and then there was a show for the two of us. emotions cannot be conveyed! you are professionals! We recommend visiting!

I came there without booking anything in advance, just got a taxi from the beach. The staff was friendly and took me in as if they were expecting me which was such a great start! I paid 600 baht for a ticket. There were only adults in my group and it was quite enjoyable experience for all of us! All the staff was supporting each other, making jokes and laughing at them which made us nervous visitors a bit more relaxed. Snakes were real, insane and terrifying – just as they suppose to be) I loved that they actually showed us the poison (snakes are venomous) and their teeth which I was not expecting. It was also amazing that they allow to take pictures with snakes. They know what we are coming for 😂 I was there solo so they also took photos AND videos of me on my phone for free. I could not be more grateful for that! 🙏 It will help me treasure the memory of this place for more and more years to come. After the show you will take more photos and possibly even go in a cage with a python that is twice the size you see during the show! There are other snakes to check out too. The owner was also kind enough to allow me to pet their goat) Definitely recommend. Go and make your positive memories there!

It was very great show. Found this place out two days before leaving beautiful Thailand. It was really nice. Warm welcome from staff. Showed us around and all most popular sorts of snakes. Explained little bit about every snake they have there. Then show was beginning. You could see guys are real professionals. When we visited place in rainy day it was comfy because there is roof all over the place. If you don't know what to do in So Nang when it is raining the I suggest you to go there. 100% satisfied.

Really amazing collection of snakes, show was very cool but a little pushy to touch the snakes teeth, etc. Still recommend but firm "no" if you do not want to touch a snake.

Fantastic time! Adults and kids enjoyed it. The staff picked us up from our hotel, and they made sure our 3-year old child had a great experience. The staff are engaging, kind, and clear about safety. They are great at what they do - our kid didn’t want to leave!

Really very good snake park. There are several snakes here. I can’t name them because I don’t know you will really feel scary looking at the snakes. There are a lot of snakes here some cobras and some pythons you will get a chance to hang the snake around your neck. The supervisor or the owner of the park is really very good person. You have a option to watch the cobra show played by the owner or you can just have a look at the snakes around and pay nominal fees. It is situated in Ao nang in Krabi. If you want some adventures type off then recommend go over here.

Very good show, must do if you are in Ao Nang. The staff were top tier, and gave me a 1 on 1 tour of the whole place, going into depth about each snake, and even took me to a money exchange to swap currency. 600 baht well spent

Nice place, the staff is very attentive and supportive. One of the guys was making sure that my GoPro is always on target (left near the snake ring) even without asking. Pick'up and dropoff was included. All in one super nice show and good staff. Congrats.
