Went during the very popular "Glow in the Park" event. They did a great job at having everything setup and managing the crowds. It might be a "zoo" but it has more of an animal sanctuary type feel with lots of large open spaces. Still we were able to see all the wildlife and was much closer to a cheetah and hyena then I'd ever been before. It's not that big and you can easily see everything in a few hours and not feel rushed. They also do a good job of keeping the walkways shaded. Aside from that the staff was friendly, the paths and eating areas were immaculate and very well maintained. Despite it being crowded there were no lines to enter, plenty of parking, and the lines to get food were short as well. Well worth visiting. Get there when they open to beat the heat and you won't be disappointed.

A fabulous way to spend the day! The giraffes were such a treat to watch. They animal demonstrations were also time well spent to slow down and enjoy what they were sharing. The tortoise and the snakes were a interesting watch! Family great adventure!

I had previously been to the Living Desert many times being desert grown and a desert resident for many years! I have always had an enjoyable time from all of those experiences so I thought it would be nice to treat my toddler and boyfriend to this adventure! We were all so excited to finally get out and do something and this was money and time well spent. For parents: there are restrooms everywhere which helped us because my son is still using pull ups! There are food (dining and snacks) options that are all delicious. There is everything you would need for a day at the zoo available at the stores. Activities are endless. Lots of sites to see. I would recommend going early due to the sun being nice and bright. Lots of sunscreen is required. There are some things I would recommend bringing cash for ease. Feeding the giraffes is a MUST. I would suggest making that your first stop if possible upon entry! Love the staff and everyone is helpful and kind.

Omg! What a fun little zoo! All the animals are warm weather critters, so they were all awake and active. I fed a giraffe! I also got up close and personal with a wallaby! It was a fun way to spend an afternoon, and the food was pretty good too!

We were very lucky to enjoy a private tour with Dave today. Not only did we get to see every exhibit the zoo includes, we also received detailed information about the animals and environments we were witnessing. Dave was an excellent host, providing us a comfortable, safe, and fun experience. He was very attentive to the children in our group and made sure they got a great view of everything. The giraffe feeding was awesome, and it was a nice benefit to cut the line via the private tour. Overall it was a wonderful way to experience everything this very well managed, clean, well-signed zoo had to offer. Thanks Dave and everyone there!

We went for the Glow in the Dark event. It was impressive before dark and spectacular after dark. Most of the animals were active and close enough in their habitats that they were easy to see. The various lanterns throughout the park were so impressive. Loved that there were interactive areas for kids and adults to enjoy and to have cute photo ops. Hard to pick out a favorite. Plenty of places to pick up a snack to sit and enjoy. Reasonably priced too. I will definitely be back!

The living Desert Zoo and Gardens was a great experience! Especially for the little ones looking at all the different animals from all different areas of the world was awesome! From Africa, Asian, North and South American! Garden areas pretty. They have petting goats which was nice. I recommend being a wagon or a stroller if you have kids and bring cold drinks.

Great program and layout. Best to come when it’s not as hot as the animals are less active when it is. Only reason it’s 4 instead of 5 stars is the cost. Gatorade is $7 each. I know it’s a good cause but after the entry fee, it starts to get really expensive…

Nicest zoo I’ve ever visited. All the animals are out. You can feed giraffes which is an awesome activity. The staff are the nicest people ever! So educational. There’s clean bathrooms every turn. Food isn’t too expensive. 10/10 would recommend whether you’re a kid or adult.

I don’t understand why it took us such a long time to come and visit this wonderful habitat of some extraordinary animals. Do not hesitate to come and bring your family here. We enjoyed each minute of this zoo. First time seeing some of the animals so close and kept in great environments. Keep up the great job The living zoo.

Fantastic zoo. The animal habitats are so big and the layout is great. Can spend many hours there and not see everything. The desert gardens are a nice touch to change things up and walk off the main path or take a quick break

A really great Zoo for the kids but my little guy liked the train model set the most. You can get up and close with giraffe feeding but have to pay extra. I'm not sure if we saw everything there as the zoo is now completely paperless--environmentally friendly. There is an app you can download to guide you but we did not do that. Maybe next time... Wish there was a little more staff around to know what was best to see, when feedings occur etc. Bathroom facilities were pretty frequent which was good too.

Peaceful in the daytime. The staff and volunteers are extremely nice. I hope all animals are treated well at all times. I normally don't go to zoos only sanctuaries. Shout out to Christina the young lady who works in the refreshment stand that's near the camels and in between the goat petting area. She's very nice and has really great customer service. We tried to tell Chad and David her bosses but we could not find them anywhere at the zoo throughout the time we were there from 1:00 p.m. to closing time. We even came back for the second evening light festival. Give Christina a raise. Extremely overcrowded in the evening. They should definitely have a capacity of how many people can come in. Or they should definitely have some kind of structure when people are taking pictures or people are waiting in line to take photos. It might even be a great idea to implement photographers as well as people being able to take their own pictures. The lantern festival is very pretty but I would never go again to the Palm springs location because the patrons really don't have any manners, (adults and children). People were just walking through when other people are trying to take pictures, not even saying excuse me which was very rude. Also for better pictures and lighting it's probably a good idea to put lights on both sides of any area that has a festival lantern because if there's no lighting on the other side all pictures come out really dark. The only thing you can see is the lantern not really the people in the pictures.

Location: Out there, Parking: Okay, Service: tickets(okay), park attendants (good), vending (okay), retail sales (okay), Military discount: yes, Areas where animals lived: some looked great others need to change ( according to a plan areas are being adjusted to better support the animals expected to be done in 2 more phases). Overall: This was a first-time visit and for the outside it does seem to have a good vibe as to decent areas of space.for the animals to roam and not be as caged up as was done in the past. The best example is the Giraffe exhibit. The amount of space is great, and the animals look so comfortable. Where as when you walk over to the Leopard exhibit, it seems cramped and closed in as well as the striped hyena exhibit. Another interesting piece is the huge model train exhibit. This remarkable creation will keep you looking for quite a while as it must be over a quarter acre of model buildings, bridges, and cities along the miles of track. I plan on. going back to see the new changes and updates. Until all the animals are in better accommodations..2.5 Stars...

We had such a great time here. I loved seeing the desert animals and knowing that they are a non-profit. Everything you buy helps them take care of the animals and supports their efforts in increasing their population. If you can, do the rhino experience (about $50 each). You get to learn about rhinos, their plan, and you can touch and feed one of them! (8am daily, I suggest you pay for it in advance) You can also pay to feed the giraffe(s) ($10 per person, 3 pieces of lettuce, worth it for the close up and to help them with their efforts). This was an on-the-spot decision. Lastly, it will get hot because it's the desert and especially if you're coming in the summer. Be prepared with water, sunblock/screen and whatever else you may need as it takes a bit of time to go around to see all of it.

A well planned animal zoo. Summer is definitely not the best time to go though the zoo has made arrangements to handle hot weather well. Restaurants inside the zoo are well staffed and has a decent menu and of good quality. The fee seems like a premium compared to other zoos but there are carousel and a mini-train area that makes it worth the time and money for kids. PS: The tour on trolleys is not of the full zoo but only of the inside areas and skips the actual attractions that have to be walked through. So read through info before getting on to the zoo tour trolley which is an extra charge.

We went on weekend of Halloween. The people working and volunteering were sooo kind and helpful. Chris explained to us how to get around the zoo and about the candy stations and activities going on at the zoo. She was great! The zoo was so beautiful, and we got to feed the giraffe. My son loved it. We hope to come back next year on our visit back to Palm desert.

A world- class zoo in a quiet, low-key place. It's small, not too many animals, but those they have are kept in natural, spacious settings, and there are staff available eager to answer any questions. It's the perfect size for young kids to walk around, not overwhelming, not crowded. There is also a huge, outdoor model train exhibit , and a special area for birthday parties and weddings. Don't miss the wallaby exhibit - no cages, so you get a very close-and-personal experience. Love this place.

Just got back from a day at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens and wow, it was awesome! This place has it all. They've got animalsf, like wild dogs and a striped hyena, which was super cool to see up close.We were there right smack in the middle of the day, and unlike other zoos where you're lucky to spot a sleeping animal or two, here, there were tons of them up and about. Made our visit way more exciting!The place is super kid-friendly too. You're never too far from a snack place or a bathroom, which, trust me, is a lifesaver when you're herding kids around. And it's spotless everywhere you look, which is pretty impressive for a zoo.Oh, and you’ve gotta check out the gift shop before you leave. It’s not your usual zoo gift shop; it’s got something for everyone, no matter your budget.Definitely give this zoo a visit. Just a heads up though—it gets HOT, and there's a lot of wandering under the sun, so come prepared. Getting there early is a good move too, especially if you want to catch the animal feedings and some really interesting talks by the staff. Trust me, it's a day well spent!

My favorite zoo. There are so many aspects of engagement, plus I feel it focuses on the benefit of the animal's living comfort and experience. Miniature train set in the center is huge, the endangered animal Carousel is gorgeous and the natural oasis nature walk is amazing. I love that you can see animal's in their simulated habitat in the best way.

Nice place to spend day-time with family and friends. Perfect gateway from LA and greater LA. Good way to visit a lot of animals that you don't get to see otherwise. Some animals have ample space and you can experience how they might behave in their natural habitat but for some we felt the space is not enough at all and management should do something about it. Positive- convenient restrooms, drinking water outlets, restaurants , free parking and you can bring own food inside, not much crowded. Negative - some construction going on, food options not that great but pricey, navigation in the zoo is not perfect and maps are not super easy to understand directions.

Great destination for kids !! They get to see the animals roaming freely in their own area ( similar to their natural habitat), instead of cages. The zoo wasn't crowded heavily even during holidays. Enough places to sit and relax if you are tired walking. All walkways are stroller friendly. The giraffe feeding experience closes at 3 PM, so go early if interested. The miniature rail road model is very beautiful.... Nicely designed and maintained !!

We were so impressed with this zoo. All the exhibits seemed large enough for each animal and comparable to their natural habitats. We were super impressed by the desert animals and the Australian exhibits. We were also thrilled to see North American animals as those were all super beautiful. They currently have a mom and baby yellow foot wallaby in exhibit. We saw camels, goats, giraffes, rhinos, and even a lizard in the animal hospital getting a wellness check. This is a great place for families and kids. The train area was also unique. They are refurbishing some areas. Worth the trip for sure.

Mother, daughter, Grands and GGs all loved the Glow Park at the Living Desert Zoo. What an exciting adventure for us all. We had never seen anything like this in all our travels and were mesmerized by all the animals, birds and flowers. The sheer size of them was stunning and the light from within made them even more photogenic. The staff was so helpful to me for I couldn't walk the whole park. My grandson rented a scooter so I could enjoy it all.

This was my first visit to this Zoo & I hope that it will not be my last. There is so much to see & do, especially if you have younger kids or grandchildren. They were having Glow Nights during my visit. It would have been cheaper if I would have came back later for glow night, but I didn't. I am sure everything was beautiful, because it looked great during the day. There are several places to rest, eat & relax. I think The Living Zoo is a great experience for children & adults.

I say this place was wonderful. I enjoyed all the exhibits. It was nice to see the animals interact with the keepers. The volunteers were simply lovely to talk to and full of information. Helen and Cindy were the ones we spoke with the most, very nice ladies! I truly will love to return with my grandchildren. The only negative I say is the fact there was NO paper map! I get it, it is the age of technology but trying to bring it up on my phone was too small and annoying to have to use my phone. Plus it used my battery so at the end I almost had a completely dead phone. I would purchase a map for 50 cent or a dollar just to have one!!!

This probably is one of the best malls or shopping areas I have been to. I love coming here when I visit Palm Desert or Palm Springs from San Diego. With the amount of shops and restaurants here, you basically can find everything. They have great restaurants such as Wilma and Friedas and stores such Williams Sonoma and the Savory Spice Store which are my favorite shops There is a beautiful garden in the middle as well as a nice sitting area. It's a great place to take a walk. I love parking at the top of the parking structure to take in views of the mountains and surrounding areas.

Lots to see, eat/drink, shop & buy! Truly a beautiful area - very clean and easy to walk. Can’t wait to come back!!🥰

Went to Williams Sonoma today. Had a problem with an oven I had gotten as a gift. The woman was amazing. Figured it all out and helped me get the correct piece. It had been sent with a wrong part. I am so happy.

I've seen in the past poor reviews on the food, but we thought as a group that everything we have was delicious. of course the margaritas are good. they're strong and I think that's what people like. I've been all over California. eating Mexican food and Armando's was good.

Mama Gina's for all night happy hour. Larkspur Grill for live music and food! El Paseo hotel is just fun to walk around and see all the art and the restored air stream!

We went early on a Sunday so found parking no problem. There are still enough vendors to make going worthwhile; however, even though there were numerous signs up to wear masks, I would estimate only 20 percent of attendees followed this request.

This is always a fun and interesting pastime while visiting the desert cities - Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells … every Saturday & Sunday mornings until 2:00 PM at the College of the Desert —> juncture of Fred Waring and Monterey Dr in Palm Desert.

This street fair runs until about May of each year when it starts getting too hot here in the desert. It's a great place to find jewelry, artwork, unique clothing and lots more. There are food trucks with lots to choose from. Plenty of free parking. Saturday and Sunday only until the end of the season. They do not sell any alcohol here so you'll have to make do with iced tea or water or sodas. Bring a hat for hot days and a large bag to carry your goodies.

It was a lot of fun. Lots of things to buy, look at and eat!!

I really like going to this street fair,it always looks like the people walking around are having a good time and the vendors are happy having us there too and I like the people that are playing music too!!

Has been a while but disappointing. Was half empty from the year before and prices were high. I do recommend the Crepes and Lattes by the seller on isle closest to street. Also the Produce just behind is excellent. Best Dates anywhere. Way better than Hadley's and almost half the price. Their oranges and mangoes were also outstanding and I am very picky about my produce.

There wasn't anything unique about the street fair that differs from any other type of similar venue in any other city. A large number of the sellers were offering products made in China, India or other countries where cheap labor is in abundance. There were a few vendors who make/produce their own products and for them, they deserve a 5. We enjoyed walking around and the energy from many visitors. Btw, if you need golf balls at a great price, definitely the place to go. When you enter the college grounds, keep right at the traffic circle and your first right for parking which was free.

We’ve been going to the fair for years and enjoyed the great number of sellers and the variety. The music was a big attraction in the food area as it created a wonderful atmosphere. I was there recently and was shocked to hear that the administration had cancelled the live music and brought in canned music from a local radio station. The number of kiosks was VERY small and apparently the rent for stalls has been raised. I would say that the people making these decisions aren’t concerned about the success of the fair. I don’t plan on returning nor will I recommend to visitors. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

We go every couple of weeks to see what they have to sell. It's not as big as it has been in the past. Hopefully, when the weather gets nicer, a few more vendors will set up. We have gone to this for over 30 years. Very enjoyable time.

This is a great venue for shopping for so many various needs. Clothing, home decor, golf items, games, jewelry -- the list goes on. We found what we wanted, and we'll go back again sometime.

It is a large Street Fair. It is Open Saturday and Sunday from 8-2. Vendors of all kinds-Food, clothes, hand made items, art+ much more. It has free parking. It is a fun place to explore and you might find some treasures along the way.

Very nice set up lots if vendors with things for everyone. Would've liked to see 👀 more farmers and produce. My other qualm about this venue is the cost of the products , one would think that cost would be more buyer friendly yet I felt many markups were more in line with brick and mortar stores. I falsely assumed I could get more bang for my bucks.

Not a bad seat in the house! Barry Manilow exceeded expectations! The parking, the scenery, the ambiance, the staff . . . All impeccable! Do be cognizant of where restrooms are located. And elevators are a bit small for a venue in an area with a huge senior clientele. If you have seats in the last row, please bring a scarf. The air vents blow a bit strong up there! Will go back for more!

Wonderful night at the McCallum Theater. Michael Feinstein celebrates Judy Garland was above & beyond what we could have even imagined. Fabulous musicality & entertainment. Beautiful facility with so many friendly, helpful people. So happy we made the decision to attend this venue.

First time here and is was wonderful! The staff/ parking/ theater and entertainment was great. Will be back. We saw Neil Berg’s 50 years of Rock and Roll! Fun and talented entertainment. We are in our young 60’s.

Took a field trip with my daughter's elementary school to McCallum Theatre. It was beautiful, nice and clean. The restrooms were nicely kept and the staff was very helpful. The seats were a bit worn out but the experience was one of a kind.

Beautiful venue and every seat in the house is good. Although, beware the mask gestapo. Don’t even try pulling your mask down even to itch your nose or they’re on you. Still no food, beverages or even operational drinking fountains are allowed. What is this… 2021? I’m pro safety but jeez, the security in there makes you feel awfully uncomfortable.

Went for the performance of Mannheim Steamroller Christmas program. The theatre is beautiful and design with the theatre goer in mind. Seating is comfortable and every seat has an excellent view of the stage. There is no bad seat literally. Vallet parking is available and there are elevators to acess the mezzanine and balcony levels. It really was a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience. Thank you to my good friend, Debra, for inviting me to this treasured event.

The staff were kind, except for a bartender who wouldn't give this 78 yr. old a glass of ice water. Just a plastic glass and directions to the water fountain. Water tasted terrible. Was lukewarm. I finally bought a 12 dollar bottle of chilled water. Otherwise the night was magical. Les Miserables was the show. Sounds, sets, actors, orchestra were top quality.

The Four Phantoms concert was absolutely amazing. Please bring back this group next year. This is the high caliber of performers we expect from McCallum, and they did not disappoint!

Great venue, intimate yet grand at the same time! The architect knew what he was doing. Exceptional customer service and a great audio visual system.

We purchased expensive front row center seats for Coco movie with live orchestra. This facility didn’t indicate these were seats with obstructed view. Could not see the characters or the subtitles. See the photo below, this was our view, the people next to us left during intermission. I wrote the theatre and never received any kind of reply. Tells me what kind of folks run this operation.

First class facility with wonderful staff. Still checking COVID vaccinations at the door. Great sound. Parking is so easy. With all the new residents in the valley it probably needs to be expanded to bring in more acts but we still enjoyed the smaller intimate setting.

I've never been disappointed with the shows. We attended about 6 shows a year. Beautiful facilities, nice seating, very good acoustics, very nice volunteers and easy parking. You can't go wrong.

Spacious theater with a nice rake so every seat has a great view. Sound is fantastic. Easy to park and quick bar service before the show. They bring in some great talent. The Kristin Chenoweth show was a standout.

A beautiful theater is definitely worth visiting. Good sound, friendly staff and comfortable seats. Green beautiful grounds around with lots of parking spots. In the evening the building is lightened up and looks really amazing

The most beautiful environment. The box seats were incredible, especially at the price point. The hospitality was amazing, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Extremely Covid conscious. Easy parking. We saw an intimate night with David Foster and were floored by not only the talent, show, crowd engagement and music, but the lighting, sound and overall production quality. If you can see anything here, do it. Could not recommend more.

Smallish venue for local artist to display their work. No permanent collection. Rotating local work. I enjoyed it. A mix of oil, acrylic, watercolor , and mixed media. Small outside sculpture garden too. Free.

I was actually at the Palm Springs Art Museum back in September of 2017, however, they also have a very nice Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden just outside of the museum. Back in September of 2017, I forgot to make a video about it, however, I came back two (2) more times and the last time I made my final Youtube Video showing off the beautiful Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden. The gardens are lovely with several small fountains of water coming out of them along with many cacti all around. It is a very memorable place to visit and I want to personally Thank Charles and Scott for taking ME there along with their two (2) dogs Blondie and Sumo (sorry they left Rusty the Dog at home because he acts up in the car) back on Monday, November 13, 2017. This museum is situated in a lovely area close to food and shopping. The gardens are breathtaking! The museum itself is a treat to the soul. You can meander through the galleries in about an hour and then out to the gardens to continue the pleasant visit outdoors to be refreshed by the beauty of sculptures, water, and landscaping. You'll leave with a smile on your face. I promise!

Really enjoyed walking through the exhibit inside and then the art and nature walk outside. Entrance is free and the plants and artwork are inspiring for anyone looking for ideas for their own yards.

Review for April 2021. The art museum of Palm Springs located in Palm Springs California. I'm not guilty, to say thst I love art. Visiting the art museum was definitely part of my to-do list while here in Palm Springs. It was fascinating. But what I found the most fascinating in the start of the 40th President of the United States Ronald Wilson Reagan. God Bless America

A small but nice art museum at Palm Desert that usually features collection of photos or selected art from its bigger museum at Palm Springs. It also has a very nice manicured sculpture garden.

Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert is also known as the Galen whose generosity makes entry gratis. The space here is enough for one large exhibition & not much more so it is possible to see the entire presentation in less than an hour even if one ponders on each item for most museum goers. Upon entry we were approached & welcomed by a helpful, earnest, young, bearded staff member who clued us in on the temporary exhibit that was being presented. Exhibit was by Bob van Breda who gathers "junk" from anywhere and creates artistic assemblages. It's art produced from recycling detritus, throw away items. Reminds me of art created from recycled objects by an earlier artist, Robert Rauschenberg. I like the concept of a small museum which can comfortably be seen at leisure in a short amount of time unlike large museums where it takes hours to see it "all" creating an exhausting feeling of sensory overload. It's a nightmare for the compulsive-obsessive. Be sure to see the associated outdoor sculpture garden which has some excellent pieces, especially the tour de force objet d'art of a Native American woman in bronze.

From a visit in Jan 2020. The garden is well maintained. If you’re a photographer this place is for you. I’d highly recommend. It’s a nice spot to relax, reflect and enjoy.

Pretty cool visitor center. Make sure to take a stroll around the property. There's also a couple of hikes from the same parking lot. Apparently, they have some problem with thieves, but we really didn't see any of that!

A WONDERFUL visitor center and gift shop, complete with public bathrooms, scheduled guided hikes, and resident desert turtle. The BLM has a guide desk and another staff member inside who ALL are full of helpful info and literature. Check out the Friends of the Desert Mountains organization within the sane visitor center, they organization lots of hikes!

The views of the mountains were nice but the road (Highway 74) made my kids car sick due to zigzag turns and decided never to come back to this free way

The view of Santa Rosa and San Jacinto mountains is nothing short of breathtaking. Standing at their foothills, I was humbled by their sheer size and grandeur. Just a 15 minute drive from the resort we stayed at Palm Desert, our guide says there is a .5 mile, 1.5 or 2.5 mile hiking path. We did the 1.5 mile hike. It is recommend for ages 14 and older, but I took my 10 year old daughter and she was fine and could have hiked longer. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone younger than that, as there is an incline with uneven paths that might not be easy for toddlers to go. Nice experience for someone who lives in NorCal suburbs.

The visitor center was smaller than I thought it would be. Not much inside. Ran by the National Park Service (NPS). The book selection seemed to be mostly for kids. The staff was pretty chatty amongst themselves, mostly one guy overtalking the two women.

A great place to learn about the "Monument in your Backyard"! Guided hikes, scorpion hunts, informative lectures, and a welcoming visitor center with great displays, maps, informative literature and helpful staff and volunteers.

Such a beautiful trail. (Multiple trails really.) They are well maintained, expansive views and lots of wildlife. Not too crowded. The nature center is small and mostly a gift shop but the staff is lovely. We caught the end of a lecture which was very interesting and well done.

I was on vacation in early October and it was still over a hundred degrees every day I was there. To save money I avoided getting a hotel and slept in my van instead. Luckily I found this place and was able to cool down and get a shower. Understandably it's a popular place but there was still a lane available after getting changed so I could stretch and move my body and swim laps. As soon as I got there the staff was extremely professional and friendly. The cost to get in was reasonable. The facility is very clean and that water felt incredible. I even stood under a water fall in the kid's section and let the water beat down on me as if it were massaging my neck and shoulders. Overall a very pleasant experience and if I find myself in that part of California again I'd love to go back. The water slide opened right as I was leaving so unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy that. Another reason to go back I guess. I love aquatic centers, thanks for being there and open, I appreciate it!

First time coming here and it was fantastic! Perfect family spot to have some fun. Traveled from L.A with my family and we had amazing time in the pools. The slides were also pretty cool.

Love the events that they have monthly, movies by the pool except the fact that people go out their stuff and towels on the lawn chairs and never sit or use them. Meanwhile people sit on the grass.

On Friday, my family and myself went to the Aquatic center they had a dive in movie. This is my first time attending I have to say I had a blast. They were showing Sonic 2 even though you couldn't really see the picture that good because of the lights in the surrounding area I gave them 5 stars for trying. They had 2 booths selling food and snacks that were also 5 stars. There was a good turn out and everything went smooth. My daughter goes swimming lessons here, the personnel is great! And it's a great place to take kids and do exercises during the week. Even my 3 year old has a blast every time. The $$$ are very accessible. So. 5 Stars for the personnel and location.

Beautiful outdoor swimming. 2 tips….check web site before every visit to make sure lanes are open…the men’s locker room locker doors sometimes don’t shut tight even when using a padlock so check before leaving.

Absolutely great swim facility, with a beautiful parking lot in amongst a plantation of date palm trees. This place is great for kids too with a large pool with slides especially built for kids. And a great Olympic-size pool. Overall a great facility close to the city halls, garden and college of the desert across the street. Centrally located in the heart of Palm Desert.

A true local gem! Now connected to the CV Link, the Palm Desert Aquatic Center is the perfect spot in the desert to swim a few laps, walk the dog, or just relax in the lush green grass and enjoy the scenic views.

Love the aquatic center. Zero depth pool, water slides, diving boards, splash play area and rock climbing walls. However they are only open for children in the summer months on the weekends. It’s hot here most of the year and limited activities for kids they really should accommodate children in the community for longer times during the week and extend the open season.

Nice kids and family enjoyed, only down side was The food concession place was closed, bring your own water just Incase.

I love this place! We went to this place 2 times already. Both times were fun! My daughters loved to be here and they really enjoyed the water slides and pools.

This pool is in a fantastic location. The local rec center is very close by, but the pool itself has three great swimming pools, the kids play area, and lap planes as well. The pool is well-maintained, covered with lifeguards, and is always fairly clean. There is plenty of parking nearby in the shade of the palm trees, and the entry fees are fairly reasonable.

Update 4.5.24: this place continues to be great. It's the cleaner pool deck and facility ever. Lifeguards appear to be responsible for everything and do a great job. The deck is cleaned all the time. The locker rooms are nice. All the staff is nice. PDAC is awesome.... What a great facility. We went several times over Thanksgiving break and the staff was awesome. We grabbed 3 lanes with no problem and only had to wait a few minutes. The competition pool is 16 lanes and the temp was perfect.

We like to swim laps here. Nice staff, usually lots of room during their long lap swim times. Nice deck area with chairs, benches, tables and umbrellas. The water is usually somewhat cloudy, not sure if it the salt water or what. $7 senior entry price now as of Jan 1st, 2024. Managed by YMCA, so eligible for free on Medicare if you have the right supplemental plan that includes health clubs.

They have an awesome water slide, with virtually no line, a huge wading pool and kiddie play area, the most comfortably warm water to dive in, and the deepest pool we've been in in years: all for a ridiculously cheap ticket price. There are lifeguards everywhere, and the locker rooms and showers are clean. We had a lot of fun! It was a better experience than the crowded lazy river at the Omni nearby. The facilities are much nicer.

One of the best public outdoor pools I ever been to! New, spacious and clean facilities, reasonable price ($4 for locals and $6 for visitors). You can also rent a lock for $1. I absolutely enjoy my swim at this pool. If you don't have a pool to use at your home or hotel, then this is your place! The Civic Park next to the pool is also a nice place to hang out!

Great hike for the family and the dogs. First section of the hike is steep, but it levels out afterwards.

If u want a fast and semi heart pumping hike. This is your spot. Easy hike, a little steep but one of my favorite hikes. I've took my whole family hiking here and they loved it. If u time it right. It's a 30 min hike up and 20-30 min hike down. Only because I jog it down the mountain. And an awesome view of the valley 🤩 Would recommend 100%!

This hike is about a mile and a half going up and a mile and a half coming down. It gets a bit steep for about 20 minutes but the view is worth it! If you have a bad back or knee problems, YOU WILL FEEL IT THE NEXT DAY!

On a clear, cool 55f, windy, sunny day, it was a very invigorating hike. Views are spectacular! Gratitude for St. Margaret's church as it maintains the solar powered light system which allows all PD to see it at night.

Two ways to start, if you're looking for a quick uphill work out then go left. Other then that most take the longer right side as this is more for hikers than for trail runners. Loved it, if you go in the evening, bring a headlamp or flashlight.

The cross is an excellent hike for a good daytime or headlamp night hike. It's a light hike totally just under 2 miles to get up and back. But gives excellent views of the town as well as being a generally good workout for a sunset hike.

One of our favorite hikes in Palm Desert! Nice trail, not slippery. Amazing views, internal loop. With a few stops totally doable for midrange hikers!

This is a wonderful hike until reaching the cross. The cross comes into view when reaching the top of the hike. My first impression was "Why?" Why must a hiker confront a symbol of one group's belief system when enjoying the most beautiful thing around - nature? Worse, at night the cross is lit up, diminishing the beauty of the night sky.

Great service, the waiter was nice. He gave me my pineapple pizza hot & ready, probably cooked it in the fault idk. But he also let me play Call of Duty Black Ops Campaign while I was in the fault for a tour. I loved it I highly don't recommend you go here because my friend died here and its just a great place

A major misconception of this fault line is that California would fall into the ocean during a major earthquake "the big one". this is a transform plate area meaning the land portion of the pacific plate area west of this fault line would go past either north or south along the north american plate. Thus the area of California west of this site would be connected to Alaska or alternatively connected to south america.

If the San Andreas fault moved, it means the end of the city california (USA). Furthermore, the fault is a huge continental transformation that keeps changing. Any sudden movement of this fault will reduce the amount of energy that will result in a mega earthquake that will reach 10 Richter Scale. California isn't the only city that will be affected by this earthquake, but also other areas that surround the fault, including the cities of (Nevada, San Francisco, and San Diego). The city of California will be underwater because it forms the tectonic boundary between the Pacific Plate and the North American Plate. Any sudden movement of earth's crust can cause mega earthquakes that will cause California to sink underwater. The USA is located on the "Ring of Fire" on the pacific ocean. Which is a huge plate tectonic boundaries that causes earthquakes, and tsunamis that can reach to massive numbers of shocks. Always remember that tsunamis is an aftershock of an earthquake.

Don't trust pictures there, lol those are from a different place. The point is on San Andreas Fault indeed, but there is nothing to see. To get there we entered Carizzo Plain National Monument, and at the entrance there is a stand with info, you actually get better view on a Fault from that place and save your self time 😅 Also going there in the middle of Summer was a mistake, it s like 120°f out there 😬 The first picture I attached is a view to the fault from a point marked on the map

The memorial is set in a lovely city park. We were looking for a place to walk around outside and enjoy the sunshine/fresh air on a limited time/energy budget. This was perfect. The memorial was beautifully crafted, family friendly, and a sobering reminder that is always timely. We enjoyed watching the birds, turtles and fish in nearby lagoon, as well as the various sculptures on the grounds.

Such an informative section of this amazing park. It is tucked away in the south East corner and many people don’t even realize it’s there. It has a great message and my kids find it very educational. I recommend all parents take a few minutes out of park time and bring their kids over.

NEVER FORGET! You will be struck mute at the horror of this magnificent art installation.

2/02/2024. Very well maintained grass. No graffiti or trash. Beautiful statues, monuments, and ponds. It was all well shaded with many areas provided for relaxation and physical activities. Great experience!

A must see! Very Educational and enlightening. It is sobering to stand realizing how many human groups are treated as less than. American Indians, Blacks, Japanese, women, Asian, homeless, single moms, people who dress differently...the list goes on. Take a moment and ask who it is you can stop judging and remember the Holocaust began with one person's simple judgment of another.

Visited on a very hot day but this memorial is located in a gorgeous area. Dog park, community park, swim center, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts. Definitely lots to do after visiting even with 105 degree heat.

Having a real horse standing outside your gallery on El Paseo was a complete turn off. Should take your artwork to the stables. Better impact! Felt sorry for the horse. Just seemed inappropriate.

Wow, I am so impressed that these days in the high competition on winning the customer some shops could effort just to ignore them and act like no one cares that you walked in to the gallery and interested in buying art. Unless it’s their selling technique “To win an Art Consultant Attention” I walked in to the gallery where were at least three people who didn’t greet me or tried to approach at least little talk. I spent 10 minutes exploring collection and still no one come to me or start conversation. I left also with no one saying “Good Buy” as well. May be I was invisible for all of them :) I enjoy the art at the gallery and their collection but the atmosphere where no one trying to show that “you are welcome” to be there not feels good and coming back again.

I rode to this landmark and let me tell you it's such a beautiful ride there from temecula so much beautiful scenery and pretty well maintained road there. The pull off area was fairly clean and peaceful the view was phenomenal so picturesque. Then headed down to palm desert. Excellent ride both ways I highly recommend visiting if you want some awesome photos or even just to experience.

I'm 55 years old and I found this hike to easy, although the sandy trail could be slippery and there were a few sections where a little rock jumping was needed. The flowers in late March were all blooming and made the short walk pleasant. No Dogs!

It was our first time driving along this particular winding mountain pass and most without warning we turned a sharp corner and the Coachella Valley Vista Point was upon us. Quickly veered to the right and off the highway to get out of the car and take a look. The Views of the Coachella Valley are nothing short of amazing. The mountains, the winding highway ahead, the Coachella Valley, and all the homes and colors, just mezmerizing! Do yourself a favor and stop for a moment along the way. Wow! The view of the valley is remarkable- feels like you’re on top of the world. Can get busy but I’ve always managed to find parking because people only stick around for a few minutes. On my last visit, I noticed quite a bit of trash, please people, pick up after yourselves.

Share my experience with Valley Vista Point? Come on Google, why do you make sound so fancy? Dramatic? "Share my experience!" Vista point is just a Turnout on highway 74 East heading towards Palm Springs. I mean gosh, the view is out of this world. Especially, if you're seeing it for the very first time. OUTSTANDING view I would say. The city of Palm Sprngs is spread in its naked beauty right before you. Especially when the sun is out. Just make sure you don't fall in love. Because, people, that view will grab you. That's all I have to say Google. Now, leave me alone.

Absolutely breathtaking mountain and valley views. The drive up the mountain is half the fun of going here.

This scenic viewpoint can be a worthwhile stop. But both entry/exit points are located on the eastbound (downhill) side of a tight curve with very limited sight distance, so be prepared to move quickly in and out of traffic.

As many times as one goes to Idyllwild, a stop here is always on the agenda. The view is always changing according to the configuration of the clouds in the brilliant blue sky. The road below is a twisting ribbon taking one to cool temperatures and delightful people of Idyllwild.

Beautiful views in any time of the day. But most importantly people- the road speed limit is 55mph ! 55 mph Not 35 mph or 25mph.. so please if you do drive slow - be kind human and pull over let people that drive and live on mountain pass ( like me ) and you can drive in your pleasure ! Please be curtsies to others ! Speed is 55mph minimum Drive safe !

From Palm Desert it is a beautiful ride up the winding 2 lane road to a pull off to an awesome view of the city below! If in the Palm Desert area, definitely take this short trip up the scenic mountain to the Coachella Valley Vista! There is parking to get out take pics and enjoy the overlook!

If you're looking for a panoramic view of the Coachella Valley, this is the perfect spot. The views are amazing, whether it's sunrise or sunset. It's a must-see place.

Cool spot to see an overview. If you’re a solo conversion camper there are no facilities but a small parking lot. Motorcycle or sport car- cool switchbacks and curves going down into indio. Be careful there are wrecks up there that were never recovered. Dont get over confident on that road and believe the 30mph signs

This Vista point gives a great view of the whole Coachella Valley, specifically Palm Desert and Indian Wells. You basically get a 180° view of the whole valley and it is an excellent spot to take photos. A small parking lot is available. It is off of a two-lane highway that hugs the mountainside. I suggest being very careful when entering or exiting the point, signaling your turn effectively, slowing down safely before exiting and using precaution when entering or exiting. Especially if you are visiting after dark. The cars on the highway can go pretty fast and it is sometimes difficult to see when they are coming from around the corner. Very worth the stop though!

Stopped at this Auntie Annie's pretzel shop at the Palms Desert Shopping center. One of our favorite selections is the sweet Almond pretzel. Very disappointed since what we received was a very burnt pretzel. We tried to see if it was palatable, but unfortunately was very hard and bitter tasting. We returned it to the cashier, for an exchange, but the other ones left in their case were equally burned. Odd quality control decision, to sell a burned food products. They wouldn't cook another, since it was 20 minutes before closing. So they offered us a choice of what they had left in their warming display case. We took a cup of the cinnamon sugar pretzel bites. These were much better tasting and not burned. However we wished we could have gotten our sweet almond pretzel remade. Note to self, don't settle for less than quality pretzels.

Macy's and others an excellent shopping mall (formerly Westfield). Best beauty array with indispensable beauty counselors to support your search for your perfect products. I scored eyebrow liner, light foundation in consultation!! Also an MK blouse! Service unbeatable!!! Macy's RULES.

The real experience here is at the top floor of the Macy's parking garage. The beautiful street art combined with the breathtaking Coachella Valley backdrop is more than enough to inspire a sense of awe. The mall it's self, however, is a little out dated. Though none of it's well known shops are the best of their kind, it's got pretty much everything you'd expect from a shopping mall.

Ok..this mall used to be awesome, what happened? 1 hour away ontario mills is packed and full of stores! No excuse for this mall to be empty, escalators broken over a year. The the packing garage has NOT been cleaned in over 10 years, its so gross!! They should fix it , take pride and lower the rent so more stores would open and stay open!

I hadn't been here in a long time....mostly because of the pandemic. Happy to report most people were wearing masks, per State of CA mask mandate. Happy to see very few empty stores....a really nice variety of retail stores. Food area doing well and varied food items. Always appreciate the art in unexpected places.

Haven't been there in years audits still the same place jt always was......quiet and not fun at all anymore so! But they did a good job 9on the remodel after Westfield bought the mall!! The mall is a wonderful place to escape from the brutal Coachella valley summers. The shops are also nicely presented and useful for finding new clothes, or grabbing a bite to eat. Heard rumors of this place being shut down for not making enough revenue, (rumors, not sure if it's true) but came running to here to say I pray that never happens!!! Been going here since a little girl and this is one of the only places in Palm Desert that is fun and affordable for younger people! I spend every paycheck here and I hope this mall isn't another victim to online shopping!! I love this place so much, and it's always busy but not overly crowded which is just perfect!

First time visiting. Went on a Sunday afternoon. Shopped at a lot of the stores which I was very impressed with. The only issue I have with this mall is their food court, we ate at 3 different restaurants inside the mall & they were all expensive and the food was bland. Most especially aunty Anne’s & Charley’s that took 25mins to serve up 2kids meal. I’ll definitely not be going back to the food court again. Other than the terrible services at the food court, the stores within the mall are clean & fully stocked.

The weather there was magnificent! The people or so friendly and kind! I was there on vacation and all the time I had spent their I wished I could live there everyday of my life. There is truly something special about Palm Desert that words couldn't simply describe. There is a certain atmosphere that it encompasses. Truly one of a kind place and if I could find a new job and move out there I would do it almost instantaneously!

Let's be honest - Malls are going out of date but for me I love them due to growing up going to Malls. Hope the food court can get more restaurants added Along with more stores in the Mall. An enjoyable place to walk and shop.

This past season, the Picasso Calder exhibition was particularly spectacular, with so many pieces never before exhibited. So many great stories behind the works of art. The staff is knowledgable and friendly, and always happy to give the background on the piece and spend time showing me around the galleries. A must-see if you are in the Palm Springs area, or in Jackson, WY, as their gallery in downtown is also amazing.

Car guys enjoying the current Ferrari exhibits. Turns out that one of us was a History of Art Major, and I took several H-of-A courses at college. Nice cars, but also great Norman Rockwells, Picasso ceramics, a 1901 John Godward -- new painter to me, and much more. This gallery is a top-shelf class act. Great people, too!

In 2015 and again this year I visited the heather James gallery at the Armory Art Show in Manhattan. In both years I visited all the exhibitors and noted the impressive range of eras, artists, and media to be found in the Heather James collection compared to other galleries' exhibits. These are really fine galleries. Selection of artists is always interesting. Exhibits are fun too.
