Absolutely loved this place. The caves make you feel like you have travelled back to history. The whole walk to the end and back to the entrance of the cave takes minimum 45 to 1hr. There's also luggage locker near the ticket booth and restrooms
Interesting place to visit. The rock formations inside are beautiful and unique. It is a little cold, wet and damp inside. Make sure to wear a jacket and have walking shoes. Classified as a UNESCO heritage site, this is an amazing must-see attraction on your trip to Jeju. The entire length of this lava tube is about 15km but 1km is open for public. You can see many lava rock formations, stalactites and stalagmites as well as lava textures on the floor of the cave. It is relatively an easy walk but not suitable for KIDS. There is an entrance fee to go inside but it was well worth the visit. There are ample free parking before the entrance.
Tickets to enter the lava tube are 4000 won per adult. The entire walk is 2km round trip and can take about an hour. It is dark and cool with uneven ground. I would recommend wearing closed toe shoes and a hat (if it rains before there are puddles and drips from the cave). Don’t wear anything you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Many other people were able to walk in sandals and summer clothes, but it gets as cool as 10C. It’s really amazing to see and learn about the lava tube. There’s lot of time to take photos as you go at your own pace. There are lights inside and benches near the end to rest.
Can absolutely feel the wonder of nature and immerse yourself in it. Well preserved and easy to reach, the cave is a great place to visit!
Though only 1km is opened for public, you can find many different forms of igneous rock here and the whole atmosphere is so good here! (We spent around 1 hour to finish the whole journey and back to the entrance)
Apart from the cave, there is an indoor information center to learn the history of this place. Next to the center is a local restaurant offering fried cheese pork cutlet and udon. Recommend to give it a try also : )

Interesting marvel of nature's formation from many many years ago. Should be regarded more as a lava tube from a geographical standpoint. The interior is really dark and the ground can get slippery. There were certain points inside where I almost tripped so in my opinion, more lights could be placed at areas where there are steps to highlight the danger (especially at the wooden board walk area).
Besides that, a good experience nevertheless as it was my first time entering and learning about lava tube formations.
This cave is roughly 700m long (though longer, but not available for the public) - and gets immediately cold when you enter! So bring a jacket or a sweater.
The tunnel is full of information - but at the end - it’a mostly a dark hole.

Interesting to experience this walk through the lava cave. It’s very dark and cold. Is best to bring a jacket. There’s a free gallery to read up on lava cave. Bus to this place goes by 711-1,711-2 which has specific timing so be aware. The stop is not last stop so look out for the timing at the bus stop for the return to transfer for bus back to jeju city.
It's a beautiful place to walk. Do ensure you have a good pair of walking shoes as the ground is slippery and uneven. You will probably need around 1 hour to walk to the end and back.
Vegi-tour pass. This place is bumpy and a bit cold so bring a jumper and comfortable shoes. Nice experience and good to go to understand geological aspect of Jeju. Nearby vegi restaurant is rice noodle place. Most of them puts seafoos ina stock, so eat spicy one.

I’m giving the tube 4 stars due to it’s size-quite impressive. It can be a bit monotonous as it’s largely the same throughout. Caves can be slick and uneven so use caution. You go out the same way you come in.
One of the best tourist attractions on Jeju Island. This UNESCO site is something incredible to behold. There is an entrance fee but it's well worth it. I recommend you carry a jacket/jersey with you as once you descend the steps the temperature drastically drops. 1km of the lava tube is open to the public and the feeling you get walking through it is difficult to explain.
The longest lava tube in the world, and never knew that before I researched this place. Its quite a long way inside. They have created a 1 km pathway, all the lava cleared for public viewing and experience. Gets pretty cold down there if u're visiting around winter or early spring season. There is plenty of parking space, just like any other place in Jeju.

The food in the restaurant at the entrance is amazing! The host was very kind. So, we had a great start to our visit.
The lava tube is stunning! Not much more to say, but that it is a must see.
Walking will be challenging for those who struggle to walk on uneven surfaces - the floor is rough lava flow rock. Would go here to reflect, cool off, or just marvel at the wonder of it.

The Manjanggul Lava Tube is a unique attraction compared to what the other things Jeju island has to offer. While the lava/rock formations are beautiful, it is a challenging 1km walk to the end of the tube.
Kids and elderly folks will find problems walking on uneven grounds in dimly lit settings. The constant dripping from the ceiling caused the floor to be very slippery too.
There are signs to explain the different rock/lava formations such as the lava raft and lava toes. These are interesting educational content available in several languages such as English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
If you're fit enough and this is your cup of tea, go for it. Be sure to go in with proper footwear. Else, you might want to rethink visiting.

Approximately, it takes two hours to explore the island on a electric bicycle. It’s one of the best places in Jeju island.
It’s a nice and quiet island, but it is good for Koreans only. Almost nothing in English, if you don’t have Korean licenses you can’t use the cute and comfortable cars (only bike or a bus).
There is the most beautiful island of South Korea.
You can have various delicious seafood, also go around the island by electric vehicle.
I have traveled so many countries like USA, EU, UK etc. And there are lots of beautiful places but I think Udo island also is one of them.
It's one of places where you must go in Jeju. I was habing fun with riding a bike.

Small island with so many things to explore. I rent scooter at the main island and bring it to udo, its very easy process but i forget how much I pay for the ticket myself and for the bike.
Not suitable for foreigners to visit as International Driving Permits are not accepted for all the vehicles there

Udo Island is pretty much like a mini Jeju. If you have stayed in Jeju for 10 days like me, the sights are not really different or impressive. Would be fun to ride around and explore on foot or via bicycle but to do I think you need more time. Probably good to stay for 1-2 nights, else it's too rush to do everything within a few hours. Cost of bicycle or electric car rental is not too cheap. Last ferry back to mainland is 5pm.
Im sure most people will have a better expirience than me but my expierience was just okay. I recommend you go and buy a ticket at 1.30-2.00ish as afterwords there isnt much time to see all the things. The shuttle bus costs 8000 krw and the last bus to catch is at 3.40ish and to rent electric car only very little stalls accept international driving lisence and you need the paper version which we didnt have. And it was really really sunny not hot though so we just sat down in the shade and just relaxed. The ferry tucket costs 9000-10000 ish krw each person. Also if you are planning to go i recommend you go on an empty stomach as you should try all their peanut items and also buy or bring some snacks for your ferry as you can feed the seagulls (was the best part when we went udo island)
Udo Island is a must visit place in Jeju! There are TONS to see and do!
It’s a 15mins ferry ride from Jeju. Upon arriving you could either choose to rent a bike or avail their hop on and off bus which I did because it’s winter. 😅
Peanut Ice Cream is a must. ⭐️
Udo island is the best! Fun island with cute scooters or e-bikes to bring you around. Plenty of nice cafes with great view for you to chill! A must to visit when you come! Remember to get an international driving license for scooter if you want to rent the scooters.
Recommend to go when visit Jeju, not that English-friendly if just follow the signboard, so don't hesitate to ask, this time we took bus tour, few bus drivers can understand little English.
Certain place needs maintenance, the bus route can be clearer. Overall the views are amazing.
It’s a cute island where you can take a bike or electric mini car to drive around along the coastline. You can only get to the island with a boat if the weather allows, so better check before planning anything.
This little island is too beautiful. Small enough to get around with a bicycle, enjoying the breeze on your face, stopping by for beautiful pictures and people watching. Conveniently reachable via ferry from Jeju - Seongsan, I spent about 4 hours here.

Absolutely stunning. The journey path consists of three types of difficulty level easy, type A difficulty and normal difficulty), still the 9.6 km (~ 5 hour) was enjoyable. There are two shelters over the whole route. Before the summit one need to book the slot through visithalla.jeju.go.kr website and the certificate of completion can be obtained from the kiosk. Also one need to bring water and food accordingly. The view after reaching the peak heals all hardship and tiredness of climbing. Those refreshing feelings keep you strong while coming back. And the overall experience becomes a wonderful memory for the rest of life ❤️ ❤️.
Incredible mountain to hike! The trail itself isn’t difficult, but it is very very long, also a lot of staircase and tricky rocky paths. It took us around 7 hours to complete the trail back and forth, which is around 20km total, including breaks and a lunch on top. Definitely brings lots and lots of water! The feeling when you’re on top is amazing! Being 2000 meters high up in the sky in altitude is an incredible feeling! If you have the chance to hike this volcano, it’s something to experience in your lifetime!
It was a great hike with a nice detour to see the craters. Definitely recommend taking the longer trail up and the steeper trail down, as the views on the way down are amazing. Recommend packing water and snacks.
Took Gwaneumsa Trail up and down, started at 830am and reached the summit at 1pm. In total, took 7.5hrs up and down. It’s very snowy right now, you must have crampons at least and get a good one. Very slippery and hard to hike on snow and the stairs are no longer visible. Reach the shelter before 12pm to be able to continue up to the summit. You have to start descending at 130pm. The last part from shelter to summit is really very cold and windy and foggy. Sadly on the day we hiked, we couldn’t see anything at the summit. Will recommend coming when hallasan just started snowing and it’s not too cold. Going down is too slippery so I suggest you just slide down, as the road is literally just ice.
For gwaneumsa trail, there are 2 toilets on the trail. One before the shelter and one at the shelter. There is also one at the visitor centre.
Amazing and decently tiring hike almost 2000m up, I made my ascent up at 10:10am and made it to the summit entrance gate at 12pm half an hour before it closed then another hour to get to the summit from there.
Definitely recommend going before 10am so you don’t have to rush up like I did.
Summit was awesome and make sure to bring some food so you can enjoy the views to a meal.
Made it back down in about 2 hours and saw a lot of deers on the way which was nice.
Legs were dead for about 4 days after so I’d recommend you plan a rest day or 2 after which I should’ve done.
The highest mountain in South Korea, visited by hikers and travelers from all over the country year around. It’s not the most difficult one to hike but definitely not the shortest trail—if you are thinking of a round-trip to Baengnokdam, especially—either so it’d be always wise to prepare enough water, foods, and extra clothes for temperature change.
An incredible hiking trail! While you can't really explore the park other than the trail to the top, it's still an incredible place to spend a day. Take either trail up and take the other down for a great experience 😁
If you are above 50 years old and do not exercise, frequently pace yourself with a good hiking shoe, a pair of hiking poles, and a light bag to carry your isotonic water and food. Seongpanak trail 5.5 hours up and 4 hrs down.
Another beautiful and incredibly well maintained national park in Korea. The largest peak in Korea this park is more than just its top summit. There are several amazing trails to take here so it is well worth exploring!
We also saw some wild deer and teams of park maintenance doing excellent work to keep the paths clean and well accessible for all.
I have been blown away by how well kept Korean national parks are.
We opted for the Eoseungsaengak Trail since we had elderly members and young children with us. This beginner-friendly hike is perfect for first-timers and takes only 40-60 minutes to reach the summit, starting from the Hallasan National Park Visitor Center. It was a great experience for all of us, especially beginners like ourselves.
Hallasan Mountain stands proudly at the center of Jeju Island and is perhaps the island’s most memorable landmark. Also called Yeongjusan Mountain, meaning "mountain high enough to pull the galaxy," Hallasan Mountain is widely known by scientists for its geological value. Designated as a national park in 1970, there are 368 parasitic cones around the main mountain. Visiting the national park is an adventure because travelers must make their way to the renowned Jeju Island. The mountainous park is renowned for its central focus Hallasan.
Beautiful park. Steep but well built trail (lotta steps). Good info signs at the start, and a very busy top- folks line up for almost an hour to take photos of the summit monument! We were glad to get there early for parking, and start at the less popular trail so it wasn't as busy going up.
Hallasan National Park is located south of the Jeju Peninusla. Mt Hallasan is the highest mountain in South Korea, at 1950m. It is a UNESCO heritage site for its beautiful natural features. There’s animals, birds, insects and plenty of plants. You can find many options of trails to walk and see the national park and volcano. There’s multiple trek options, ranging from 1 - 5.5 hours. We did the Eoseungsaengak trail, beginning at the Hallasan park office. The shortest trail, 1.3 km, finishing with great views of Hallasan. Whilst many blogs describe this as the “easiest” or for the least fit, it is still extremely challenging. I’m a fit person who exercises regularly and found it a hard walk uphill. It is a uphill stair walk mostly, some decking but all shaded by the trees. Wear good shoes, take water and mosquito repellent.
We took the easiest trail to just try it out and it was quite tough, admittedly, but we made it to the top! We were lucky the weather was really good in the morning and there was no one at the peak when we made it up. The view was nice and there was some areas with the pillars that provide a QR code for emergency calls in case you need help. Try going earlier in the morning to try and catch the nice view of the sun. It was slightly drizzling so we caught a mini rainbow! Admission is free and there is even a phototaking booth in the visitor's centre if you would like to take a photo for memories after your climb. Photo is 2,000 KRW per printed photo, and the instructions are all in Korean, Japanese, English and Chinese so there's no need to worry about not understanding how to use the booth. There are also some signages which introduce the names of the flora and fauna and if you're lucky you might catch a glimpse of the animals that live in the mountain. Unfortunately for us, that didn't happen but the view was so worth the climb up. It may be tedious for those who aren't able to climb too much stairs so maybe bring along a pair of walking/climbing sticks to help you get to the peak easily. Ground may be wet and muddy so be careful!
Beautiful park. We hiked up Mount Hallasan using the Eoseungsaengak trail. It was rainy and cold. Even though it is the end of October, most leaves were still green. When we got to the top, we didn’t see much because it was so foggy.
Eoseungsaengak Trail - This was supposed to be a 30 minute hike to the top - umm nope - it was nothing but steps all the way up! Coming down was much quicker. Expect this hike to be at least an hour unless you are sprinting up to the top. This views were amazing and the hike was enjoyable. I did take little breaks to rest on the way up. It is a lot of steps!
Gwaneumsa trail up and down will truly test your fitness! One of the tough ones for sure but the infrastructure is great except for the fact there is no potable water on the way.. Reservation online required in advance.
Hallasan Eorimok Park in Jeju, explored in February, was a delightful encounter with the snow-cloaked landscapes of South Korea's southernmost region. Embraced by the winter wonderland, this park offered a serene and picturesque escape. The snow-draped trails and frost-kissed trees painted a tranquil scene, allowing for a peaceful stroll amidst nature's wintry beauty. Despite the chill in the air, the park exuded a quiet charm that was both invigorating and peaceful. Exploring this snowy terrain in Jeju was a unique experience, offering a different perspective on the island's diverse natural offerings. Eorimok Park's snowy allure made it a memorable highlight, showcasing Jeju's ability to surprise and captivate visitors even in the colder months.
Started our hike around 8:45am on time with no issues at Gwaneumsa Trail | Hallasan National Park since it was suppose to rain but when we got up to the shelter the sign was on prohibiting from making it up to the peak. The rangers were so useless not explaining whether it will reopen or stay close or for how long. It’s frustrating walking all the way up to not even get to finish and experience the end result. People were still coming down who obviously to another trail per them with no issue or earlier. Not many times I will be flying out to jeju and it’s a bummer to not have experienced it. In the spring time they close the trail by 12:30p but we were there by 11:30am. Hopefully others can have a better experience. And what’s more frustrating going down…was sunny with no rain. I understand weather at the peak could be different but the lack of communication is surprising for such a strong country.
This is not only the most stunning and beautiful peak around but also an athletes dream. Gwaneumsa side to start and came down seongpanak. Very do able but you must be stable on your feet! Over all 3 hours to the top and 4 coming down. Make sure to bring enough water for yourself. There isn't any currently available. Some of the most stunning scenery I've yet to see. Dont forget to get your certificate of completion at the bottom.

Mysterious Road in Jeju, explored in February, was a fascinating encounter with an optical illusion of nature. Despite its seemingly ordinary appearance, this sloping road challenged the laws of gravity, creating an intriguing and mystifying experience. The illusion of objects rolling uphill defied logic, giving rise to a sense of wonder and curiosity. Even in the winter chill, witnessing this peculiar phenomenon was a highlight, leaving me in awe of the mysteries of nature. The simplicity of the location, coupled with its inexplicable quirk, made Mysterious Road an entertaining and thought-provoking stop during my visit to Jeju.
By reading this review you've already spent more time on this attraction than its worth. It's just a stretch of road, there is no illusion. It is not good.
For curious person, the road slope down but look like slope up. It's really slope down and your eyes had been optical illusion. Many people be same you , so it's called Mysterious Road.
Good place to stop if you have lots of time. Cars drive in neutral mode to see it descending & it drives very slowly. No tickets needed. It's a stop-by attraction.
Many people seems to be confused but let me tell you, the road illusion is real. You need to drive obviously and stop we’re you think it is down hill, put you car on neutral and release the brakes your car will go backwards as if it climbs back.
Very very interesting and actually after trying couple of times I started to feel drowsy.

Supposed to bring a bottle to try out if the bottle can indeed roll uphill, but the water bottles we had were all bigger at the bottom and just roll back and around.
We did try driving with neutral gear and low speed past the start-end stretch, it went quite fast!
But frankly speaking, when we stand there, we couldn't really tell if it was really uphill visually. Seems pretty even both side ... Anyway it was fun watching people trying - they turn on hazard lights at that stretch.
Didn't manage to catch the spectacle despite being here. See lots of cars stopping to try the phenomenon and also people with bottles trying to roll uphill. Would be great if the authorities give instructions on how to do it like signs to stop your car and places to roll your bottles for example.
A natural wonder. You roll downhill when seemingly traveling uphill with the car in neutral. It's a cool optical illusion.
Drove by this Mysterious Road without reading the reviews here in details. Just knew there was supposed to be some optical illusions. We kept driving by the sign where it says Start here. We thought we had to turn to the inside street or something. So we made a U-turn and drove back and even asked the lady at the fruit stand. She pointed out the street which we were driving back and forth. So yea we couldn't find the Mysterious Road, haha! What a disappointment...
An optical illusion road. Read up before visit. Basically it is a flat road which appears to be sloppy upwards.. can give it miss unless you are in the area
Took us a few rounds to test out the mysterious road phenomenon. There are signs on both sides of the road saying the Mysterious road starts here. It is not a very long stretch and one could try out this optic illusion using a bottled water or turning off the engine of the car at neutral gear to see the car/bottle going upwards on the uphill slope. Pretty cool.
Highly recommend the Mystic Cafe which has really good pumpkin cake and lovely views.

-Must visit attraction here in Jeju! It's an obviously upsloping hill and bottles and cars roll upwards against physics!
-I recommend trying two ways, if you drive, from the start point put your car in Neutral and see the magic happening!
-Or you can fill a round cylindrical bottle with water and put it at the road and see it magically rolling uphill, seemingly defying gravity and physics!
-Do have someone watching out front and back though because it is an active road and there will be vehicles coming back and forth.

This road might be really mysterious. At first when we came here, we tried to do experiments like rolling bottles but there was nothing special. However, when we went back to our car, We wanted to reverse to get out of our parking slot. But instead, the car went forward and almost crashed into a wall infront. We are pretty sure that we set the car to reverse as there is the sound and the reverse camera is on. Still not sure if this is an illusion, or there is a god/spirit/being there.
No pictures to document this as we were panicking.

Went this place without much expectation, because of other locations in jeju made more disappointing. But this place is truly amazing. Felt the illusion. But be very careful while driving. Couldn't believe my eyes. Much excited. Wanted to see again and cross check, so return the way. Return also felt same illusion. Simply awesome. Don't try get distracted while driving and watching the illusion, by taking photos. While look, road is down/up, but actual its opposite to our view. Simply awesome. Better try this in slower speed and alone in road without other vehicles. Nice experience.

Yongduam Rock, like its name, is in the shape of a roaring dragon that looks like it is springing out from the ocean. When the wind and the waves are strong, it looks as if it might fly away to the sky. Its total height above water is 10m and the underwater portion of the body is about 30m long. If you gaze into Yongduam Rock during sunset, you’ll fall under the illusion that thedragon is actually writhing. In order to catch a good view of the rock, watching it from 100m west from the rock is most advisable.
Nothing much to see, not many options for public transportation. Need to walk about 10 mins, around 600m
A nice spot viewing the sea and the rare shape of rocks along the beach. A few stairways as the accesses to the bottom for a closer look.
A little underwhelming after what we experienced at Seogwipo. There are some ahjummas selling seafood below.
Around this area, there are some women who catch the shell and sell them to tourists. But they are really really expensive...I'm sure they are super fresh yet, I didn't want to spend 30000won for one shell or one abalone...I forgot which it was...but anyway, I felt it's pricy.
I am puzzled by this one. Completely escaped me which part is the dragon rock...
But it seems to be a very famous attraction as road signs were very visible miles away before we reach.

The wind was so strong and cold if you walk down there, yet it's so soothing and the rock did look like a dragon's head. You can even see airplanes flew over. love the sound of waves hitting the shore
Interesting rock feature on a rocky beach in Jeju city. Certainly not one of the top sites on the island, but given its proximity to the city and the airport, I'd recommend stopping by here for a quick visit
It is walkable distance to public transport. Enjoy sunset here with airplane view.
Beautiful place where you can walk down the stairs to enjoy fresh, take good photo shots. We came here on weekday so it was not that much people.

disappointing attraction. looks like a dragon head? I'll let you decide. parking was somewhat a nightmare around this place. the location, however, was marvellous for plane-sighting.
Hopefully, as what the dragon head mentioned. It'll bring you and your family good luck and good fortune. Parking is 2000won for 2 hours.
Nice ocean view. Rock really looks like a dragon head. Can swing by to have a look. Not a must visit but if have time can go to spend some time.
Our first tourist spot after arriving in Jeju. Its fine for what it is. Nothing extra special. A decent view of the sea, the small cliffs and the Ramada hotel on the North corner. Those carrying really high def cameras can catch the landing trajectory of airplanes over the sea every 2 mins. There is decent amount of parking space, and it's payable beyond a certain time period. We were waved by without any charges probably we spent like 30 mins there.
It's ok this place, not so much interesting to see apart from the volcanic rocks. You have to walk a little to get here from bus stop. And there are some local ladies selling fresh clam and shellfish around the rock area.
Never saw the dragon before. Night time from the East is the best. See it at night.

As a very lively market, Dongmun traditional market is one of the many places in Jeju that I recommend to visit. The market itself is divided into four main sections: fresh seafood and other produce, fruits and snacks, souvenir, and street food. Out of many sections, I recommend the street food section most because the food carts menus are quite creative like the ones in Myeongdong, Seoul. Some stalls have long lines because of its popularity, but other stalls with less queues are also interesting. However, if you are looking for a more proper meal, and since the market is popular for its fresh seafood, I also have a seafood restaurant that I can recommend you later below.
The second important section of the market is where they sell fruits and snacks. I recommend buying the famous Jeju tangerine here because they let you sample everything! When you are sure the tangerines are nice and sweet, you can then bargain with the seller if you plan to buy in large quantities. Usually, they don’t mind giving a small discount if you plan to buy a lot. This also applies to the snacks. I recommend buying the Dol Haerubang-shaped (the grandfather stone) chocolate in a box with tangerine flavors as it could be the most Jeju-themed snack or souvenir you can get here for you friends and family back at home. When you buy a lot, they would happily give you small discounts (pssst, don’t ask for too much discount though, Koreans really hate this mannerism). As for other souvenirs, if you like collecting fridge magnets, small ornaments or even trinkets, this is where you can find them all for a fair price. Most of the stores have labels for the price, so, sorry, you can’t really bargain here.
This is definitely a big market that have everything for everyone. Since I am looking to get some food/snack, I went to the food stalls section. This section is pretty excited with some stall being very entertaining with music playing and dancing to it. Food selection looks yummy, many to choose from. There's also a rice cake alley, fruit alley as well as seafood alley. It is even excited just coming here for sightseeing.
What a fun market. The volume of vendors is astonishing. Seafood both live and dried, multitudes of candies, fresh produce including, of course, Jeju oranges!
The fun really starts at 6pm at night as the street food vendors open up and fill the air with smells of sizzling meats and cheesy treats! Don't forget to grab some of Jeju's tasty Orange and or Peanut ice cream!
This is a very nice and iconic traditional market in Seoul. We could see a lot of goods here. From fruits to meat to fish. Everything is here. A recommended place to visit
Firstly parking is convenient. There is a multi-storey carpark. Gate 8 is where all the action is. 6pm is a good time to come. Decided to queue for a stall selling “spaghetti rolls”. No regrets. Very unique. One flavour comes with two rolls (9000krw). Handsome lobster 🦞 boys are entertaining too.

Lots of fanfare with the food stalls using blow torches etc but the actual taste and flavour of the food was pretty average.
There is absolutely no place to sit and eat which is also super annoying.
Loads of trinket shops selling repeats of the same, was fun for my two year old daughter, but otherwise I would say a waste of time, skip the market.
at 2019, the place is so friendly, and have fresh sashimi, many Korean food stall that from Sea food, I Hope One day i can go this place again
We came here at night and was surprised at the crowd at gate 8 I think where the cooked food are. Lots of exciting music and delicious food being prepared! Great place to get a bite and grab some local produce eg mandarins and associated products / souvenirs.
A traditional style market with small vendors selling souvenirs, snacks for a quick bite, fruits, fresh seafood, some clothes, veggies, etc. Walked around for an hour and left with a box of citrus, abalone kimbab, grilled squid.
Traditional market where you can find fish, vegetables, meat and fruit. There are also plenty of food stalls. Love the selection. Many tangerine candies and souvenirs to buy.

The attached pictures are the store that the owner/ salesperson tried to cheat me of my money!Such a deceitful act. The market food street, food is good but this experience really ruins it. Just caution to all tourist that there are such people in the world.

Hope you have plenty of time on your hands, it's larger as it first appears. Food, clothes, coffee shops & restaurants, souvenirs and things the wiggle to look at or just eat it. There is an underground shopping arcade only 350 meters down the road, everything about skincare, cosmetic and up-to-date fashion for the very sophisticated ladies. Does the brand-name "Innisfree" ring a bell?
A lot of foods served there, but not enough seat provided. You will need to stand or sit at the road side to eat. Managed to see the famous lobster stall where long queue at this branch.
A must visit in Jeju! There are plenty of stores selling souvenirs and local food delights. However, do note not to come too early as the food stalls would not be opened yet.

A nice market with plenty of food options at night. The crowd was lively on a Saturday night, with music playing from some of the stalls. There is also a section for confectionary and gifts, but those seemed more generic than the unique freshly prepared food items.
Could be larger and more comprehensive though, as not all the stores were open and the active sections were limited. It could also be that some sections would only be open in the morning.
Just another market with stalls selling the usual fare. Good to try some food made quite different from the restaurants. Many stalls selling sashimi but we didn't buy any cos it looks not fresh.
We bought some snacks for family and friends from home. Prices are competitive but do check the expiry date!
We bought some tangerines the other day from here and thought it was expensive. We went to a large Korean supermarket and bought the same number of tangerines and realised that the dongmun vendors prices aren't as bad as we thought. They're about the same price cos of competition.
Went during lunch time. The stalls are plenty but as you walk and walk you will find that the stuff the stalls sell are pretty much repetitive. Nonetheless it’s a good place to feel the local market vibe and try out local snacks like skewers and Korean dumplings. Mandarin juice is also good
There’s a carpark building nearby for the market which charges reasonably. But it easily gets full
A very popular traditional Korean market in Jeju, South Korea. We stopped by last night around 7:00 pm on X-mas eve and it was packed. So packed at times, it was difficult to walk around. We got lucky by finding free street parking when we arrived instead of parking in the parking deck.
Lots of street food and they looked and smelled delicious. You could easily tell which was the most popular by the size of the line. As we toured the market, we tried several samples from many vendors. Eventually we bought some traditional Korean snack and juice and left around an hour later.
Cool place. Worth a visit for sure, but the street food was just ok for me. Loved the tangerines though.
Nice traditional market to visit, not that difficult to manoeuvre around, just look at the map and the gate numbers. There’s carpark nearby, parked near gate 8, chargable 2000 won per hour. Market has interesting items, got some bites from the stall in the center, only negative experience from the visit was the store we ordered bbq from, they were bbq-ing and putting a flaming performance to the items ordered, but ended up serving with the ones that’s already cooked previously so it wasn’t the expected hot food, other than that was still a nice visit
Highly recommend to buy your special Jeju chocolates and snacks here for family, friends and colleagues. But consider your 15kg luggage weight limit for domestic flight back to Seoul. Snacks are cheaper here then waiting to buy them in Seoul instead. Many different shops selling the same products so the pricing are pretty standard and already competitive. If you buy more from a single store, you may bargain for couple bucks discount. One can also buy street food to eat on the spot. Many stalls selling live seafood and fresh produce and fruits and vegetables too. There are many different gates so ensure to exit from the correct gate when your group is meeting back together, after your free time.

Very interesting and surprisingly large, with a variety of old rustic almost-medieval dwellings. Served by public transport so no need for a car if you're not in a hurry.
It is also good to stay at a private residence.
Lovely little traditional village. We visited in the winter so there wasn’t much going on, it looked like there would be more shops open in the warmer months.
It looks like it’s also set up for tour groups on buses.
There are a few cafes and restaurants. We can highly recommend the pork noodle shop, especially if you need a break from the spicy food.
There are some explanations dotted around, I think we would have gotten more out of it if we had a guide.
There are a couple of hawkers trying to get you into their shop near the big gate!
All in all it was a lovely,quiet few hours. And it’s free!
This is a small village where the locals actually live in traditional Jeju dwellings with mud and brick walls, with thatched roofs.
The government subsidizes them to keep the tradition alive. There are some dwellings that are kept in the traditional style with dirt floors for tourists to observe. Not much to do in this town other than a gift shop and a cafe.
There are still some traditional Jeju toilets with black pigs in them. That was the highlight of my trip here.
The local 5 flavor tea is delicious. Might have been the best part of the village, rivaling the pigs.
Visited in November, it is very very quiet. I missed explanation of history. If you are close by visit, otherwise I wouldn’t drive full hour only for it.

That such place still exists to this day, and so well preserved, while still being inhabited by the descendants... it makes you feel thankful.
Quiet neighbourhood, free of charge. Local people still live there, good place to drop by and have a walk around for 15 mins.

Came here with bus, such a hour travel, then just to see some traditional village... In side just a simple display for traditional village, is more on introduced the product for to buy. Maybe some of you will feel wasting time, is not really a good experience, maybe just a simple side seeing... Dont to high expectation.
Was ok but felt like we were intruding on local life a bit. Would skip if I was short on time.

-In all honestly I would not recommend coming here as its more of a tourist trap. Once you enter the gates there are seemingly "kind" ladies that offer to explain the history of the village to you and show you around for free. They will really bring you around and explain and even give you some berries drink. This soon however, turns into a sales gimmick where they bring you to a house and try to sell you some cream and horse bone supplements. These supplements are not cheap. The horse bone ones cost upwards of a couple of hundred dollars.
-It's not hard to tell why there are almost nobody here and only a handful of tourists. Don't make the same mistake we did and waste your time here.
-Asides from that, there is really nothing else of value or interesting to see. I would recommend you go to the other Jeju folk village which is paid entry, but is so much bigger and has more to do and see.
Serene place with plenty of historical information to read, people around is quite friendly. Visit if free, there are some shops, cafe and eateries nearby.
Exploring the Seongeup Folk Village feels like entering a time capsule, transporting you to another era. This enchanting encounter leaves you with a sense of awe and wonder. The fact that this remarkable place has been beautifully preserved throughout the years and is still home to the descendants of its inhabitants is truly heartwarming, evoking a deep sense of gratitude.
Small historic town at the base of Halla mountain in the Jeju Island of South Korea. Here, you can see and admire the history of Korean culture, their old residential houses, shrines, schools, ancient government offices, stone statues, fortress ruins, and stone monuments. Centuries old trees are preserved, and they add lots to the beauty of this village.
I had an amazing time visiting the Seongeup Folk Village. Even though the weather was not great when we visited, it didn't stop us from exploring the village. Since it was raining, there were no tourists in sight, which made it feel like we had the whole village to ourselves. Despite the rain, we were able to appreciate the beauty of the village and had a great time exploring it. I would definitely recommend visiting the Seongeup Folk Village if you're looking for a unique and beautiful cultural experience.

A really lovely beach in Jeju. The water is clean and clear enough. It's a nice turquoise blue. It can get crowded but it didn't feel overrun. During low tide the water does get really low and you can walk out quite far into the sea. Also during low tide other beaches are formed that would disappear during high tide.
A beautiful, scenic, and relaxing beach on Jeju Island!
Hamdeok Beach is a sandy beach with many cafes and restaurants just within walking distance. One of the popular cafes just right by the beach is Cafe Delmondo. This particular cafe serves nice pastries, coffee, and drinks. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea from this cafe.
Highly recommended to visit this beach and taking a stroll along the beach itself is rewarding. The blue water and clean beach are perfect for a family outing!
This is a beautiful beach and was my first introduction to Jeju Island where I saw the volcanic rocks (charcoal black) and the aquamarine waves.
There is also a small hill covered with rapeseed (canola) flowers, great for taking photos. It was quite windy when we arrived (there was a monsoon coming) but it was nontheless beautiful. There's a lot of cafes facing the sea and would have been wonderful to see the sunset here next time.
This beach is absolutely stunning! 😍 The white sand and crystal-clear waters make it so tempting to take a stroll along the shore.
One of the nearest beaches from the Jeju airport. The transparent, emerald-color water meets the basalt land beautifully.
Definitely go here if you need a beach experience in Jeju, and try going during sunset hours. Our experience is somewhat disappointing due to the cloudy skies, but the lights of the storefronts from the pier is beautiful. The cafe by the beach is also great for a short break.

Where to start ? This beach is an absolute wonder. A nugget of nature ! I never thought it was possible to see this kind of beach in South Korea ! However, it's possible in Jeju ! The sea is a fantastic turquoise blue, and the walk around is so peaceful ! It was an enchanting interlude on Jeju Island, and this beach is really worth a visit !

Clear water and calm waves. I like how there are parts of the ocean split by sand where you can play in with no waves. There are multiple areas where you can swim, I swam at the area closest to the hill where you can walk up. Restrooms nearby with water to wash feet. There are showers and lockers rooms but they were closed when I was there in the evening. Sunset was so pretty, many engagements photos taken here. Street performers at now. People selling thier crafts and many restaurants nearby. I was here in mid June and water was cold but I got use it it and became really nice with the sun setting on my back.
I visited this beach in June and it was quite busy, there was not much comfortable space to sit if you didn’t wanna pay for the chairs.
The swimming area was also limited and there were lots of people in the water.
The hike around the beaches was enjoyable with good views of the beach.
It's so pretty here you have good food places nearby. Was only a little sad that they don't let you swim very far they keep a line and you are not allowed to cross. It was around 1,50 cm and deeper was not allowed. The beach itself is very clean and a lot of sitting places
It feels like paradise. The sand is soft and bright white. There is a campsite, free toilet and shower. Here you can take beautiful holiday pictures.

Just loved the place with mini versions of some of the famous places in jeju (botanical garden, tulip garden, cave, stone park, model village, falls, and zoo) . Hallim park is just 900 M far from the Hyeopjae beach. The entry fee is 12000 won for adults. Kids, seniors, and groups would get concessions. The gift shop is at the entrance. Atleast 3 hours are needed to enjoy the overall tour and it's worthy. Loved it ❤️❤️
Very cool. It's like a botanical garden, mini zoo and you get to see 2 caves which are quite cool. Slightly overpriced, I think between 8,000-10,000 would be more fair than 12,000 but still enjoyed myself and was there 2.5 hours.
Great place to visit with your parents, as couples, with younger and older children. Anybody who loves plants- this is a must go!
For the price, the experience and exhibits are worth the price. We were able to spend 2-3 hours, taking in the fresh air and enjoying all the different exhibits and varieties of plants.

We had a good walk through the garden, the day was hot, but the caves cooled us down very quickly. The lady at the one icecream/snack stand was so friendly. We missed a lot of the flowers blooming but we did manage to see some lotus flowers in bloom, and the cactus areas were a delight. It was a nice highlight, especially after the beaches were awful.
So, this private park was started by a Jeju man in the 1970s , in what was basically a barren plot of land. It is now quite beautiful.
This park boasts two cave systems, a menagerie of animals, a bonsai garden, multiple greenhouses for different climate types, and a bunch of large sculptures.
I would have given this 5 stars if the animals weren't kept in such awful conditions. They look sickly and are given almost no room. Tiny cages with many animals per cage in some cases.
You could smell the ostriches from very far away and their feathers looked awful.
Now that we've covered the "bad" we can move to all the good parts.
Hundreds of types of flowers, a dozen different palm species, at least a hundred bonsai with some really great specimens, a full cactus house, and a bunch of lovely walks.
The caves are just long enough to cool you off between seeing the plants but not long enough to get cold. It really does help jerk things interesting.
The flower house is pretty crazy too.
I spent at least 30 minutes just looking at the many bonsai/bunjae(분재).
It's better to go earlier because the mosquitoes get active towards sundown.
wish I had more time and energy to finish walking this but it was such a nice experience. It was like a place that had a variety of things to do. I LOVED THE BONSAI SECTION! AND THE PEACOCKS
We visited around the time when there were both cherry blossom trees and tulips. The gardens are amazing and there is a lot to see. Every time there is a different theme, so please check out what is currently open before you visit. I loved the caves, the folk village with a good restaurant and the Bonsai trees! The animals don’t have much space unfortunately, but that is usually the case with these parks… Still sad to see.

It is a large park created around 1980 and includes Hyeopjaegul Cave, Ssangyong Cave, a tropical arboretum, and a folk village. The types of gardens that open each season are slightly different. The garden is very large and well decorated. About 3 hours is enough to take a leisurely look around the area. The entrance fee is 12,000 won for adults and 10,000 won for residents.
A nice way to spend a couple of hours. The parks quite large including various greenhouses, a cave network, Bonsai garden, traditional village, bird park etc.
You can spend all day here. Also on hot day, it provides a nice respite from the sun.
Fantastic park with caves to walk through, a small bird zoo, and large areas of groomed gardens. Would highly recommend, and allocate between 3 to 4 hours for your visit. Parking was simple, and there are several restaurants within walking distance.
Beautiful park to walk around. It is very relaxing and tranquil. The gardens are well cared for. I especially loved the water lilies. This is a must do if you are visiting Jeju Island.
The Garden is very pretty. The only thing I didn't like was the bird section. They don't have any protection from the weather. Other than that the cave was pretty cool experience and the Garden is beautiful.

We managed to change upon a local fishing for some small fishes while we were there and like many others, we sat around looking at him fish 🎣 it was a rather interesting thing to watch somehow!

How beautiful scenery and colorful sea in Jeju. My elder son has discovered a school of fish that was swimming peacefully and he tried to catch them up with a neat that he brought it from home. I want to curve this scene because I don't push him to study for good scores on the test at school.I let him to find what he wants to be ... yes it's hard to live in this ideal world with real life in Korea though. Only i can do is to love him as he is not high standards of others.
Long times later, don't forget my son, when you grow up if you see these things, and you have your own kids you know what love is.
This beach is a nice gateway. The waters are crystal clear, lots of space, kid friendly. Lots flotation devices and umbrellas rentals, showers available. Budget friendly. Walking distance to restaurants and gifts shop, paring is available.
A very quiet and peaceful small beach. The color of the sea goes from turquoise to blue. The sand is very fine and golden. People go there have the option of camping around the beach. There are showers, bathrooms, convenience stores and restaurants and some small hotels.

The wide stretch of powdery sand covers a very long coastline here. When I'm here in November, the winds are so strong that the beaches here need to be protected. There are para-sailing available here still at this time.

We had so much fun at this beach. A beautiful view of the island and lots of areas for swimming of exploration of nature. We found a lot of hermit crabs and other small sea creatures to explore. This place is great for families and anyone who loves the ocean. It does get busy with a lot of people and parking was a bit tough. We opted for paid parking which cost us around $3 CAD - totally worth it.

-You can walk along the coast and the shops to the black sand area and that's about most of the attraction you'll see at Hyeopjae beach.

Beautiful landscapes, great place for pictures, nice staff/service, our family enjoyed the train rides and the different type of locations they have.
The place is so huge you'd have to ride a train to actually see the whole place. As part of a group tour, this would be a nice place to visit especially if you don't prefer long and tiring walks. So many picture-worthy spots too. There are other activities that you can do such as riding the swan boat and buy souvenirs and snacks.
I spend a nice day riding the train going drom station to station , there is also a walkway where you can walk the whole place. There is a hotel also. Its a chame tbe sky bike was closed when i was there i was looking foward to it.
Ecoland is a gem of Jeju's nature and is a natural ecosystem park that clearly gives visitors more satisfaction than expected because lots of trees, lakes, and trails filled with the scent of trees are a great joy to spend in the forest. And also highly recommend using the train, which operates to allow you to see the forest up close, as it offers added convenience. I think visiting Jeju Island is worth it just to see this fantastic place.
A park you can easily spend a few hours without getting bored. There's a train that takes you from station to station, each of them has something different to offer. From a lake and flower gardens to cafes and lounges you can rest on. All in a lovely, green and clean environment. Family friendly too!
Great place for kids! Especially those who loves trains and train rides! Can spend 2-4 hours here. Certain activities have additional costs - swan ride, candle making, perfume making. My son loves feeding the horses and ponies too!
Visited as part of a group tour and while it wouldn’t be something I’d include in a self-planned visit, I’m glad I came. It’s basically a large park and farm that you can explore by train, with nice walks around each station.

The staffs are very friendly. You can brings your kids stroller even into the train. Love the train ride and white flowers. Almost spend more than 2 hours there and had a good time.
This park is well maintained. It’s great for kids and families. Personally I didn’t enjoy the park that much as a single traveller, as it had too much kids stuff and man made photo shooting corners. Also because it was winter there weren’t so much vegetation to see. I would recommend family with young kids to go.
Skip this park if you an adult traveler or someone who isn’t interested in manmade stuff. Alternative you can just take the train ride and don’t get off between stops and take a loop trip. There aren’t that much too see, and it will waste your time catch the train back on again. The train ride was basically the only highlight of my trip to this park…the artificial sceneries were very boring to me
Very different theme park with trains driving you around. The park is very varied and beautiful. Lots of places to buy snacks and go on detours before hopping on the train to the next stop.

One of my favorite attractions ! We went there during winter season (January). We stayed there for more than two hours and have a good memories over there ❤️
This is a pretty place where you can see the crater from inactive volcanoes of long time ago.
Quite peaceful and quiet at the top. There are about 3 swings at the top of the place. Please take about 10 mins to rest while at the top. The breeze is well worth the price for reaching the top.
Went early May and it was not crowded in the morning. This place is so beautiful and you can catch nice pictures of Hallasan here.
One of the most idyllic, serene views I have come across. The #1 thing you should do when visiting Jeju Island, make sure you explore the whole area and relax and take in the mesmerizing sights all around you, and I highly recommend going towards the latter half of the day as the sun begins to go down.

Amazing and gorgeous forest/park! Can’t believe public park can be so well maintained too. Lots of photo spots and beautiful sights to appreciate and take photos. Suggest to be covered with a good pair of walking shoes as there are some inclined and rocky stones that one need to be careful while walking. Per pax for adult at 6,000 won, while youth at 4,000 won. Was here during winter, think the view during autumn will be even beautiful!! 😍
A very beautiful Chinese name“山君不离”，full of reed thickets on the mountainside. It's a scenery worth seeing. It's a volcanic crater, but during the volcanic eruption, it didn't spew out lava, only leaving a large hole, which is a rare formation.
Really pretty place to chill and have tea! Love the place, huge to walk and stroll. Really cold winds during the winter.
Vast wide open hilly fields of thatch waving with soft breeze under the bright sun and blue sky is one perfect happy spot to be in autumn!
Once you climb up to the top, you will see a great view of the forest and fields, a good view of the greenery and the good feeling of the wind.
I have the vibes of walking in the Great Wall of China because of Sangumburi Crater stone structures.
Sangumburi Crater also have a nice cafe on the ground level.
Additionally, I love the workout as I climb up and walk around to see the view. :)
Beautiful park that should not give a miss. We spent almost 3 hours admiring the beauty of this amazing park. The silver grass field is really spectacular! One of the most picturesque attractions of Jeju Island.

This natural monument consists of thousands of nutmeg trees ranging from 500 to 800 years old.

A short and lovely nature walk among nutmeg trees. There is a path that takes you inside the forest, trees are labeled and marked for information. You can hear birds chirping as you walk, it's very relaxing.
I have seen many visitors walk barefoot, they said it's good for blood circulation. Overall, enjoyed our walk and it was one way to relieve stress.
There's cafés and a small restaurant putside by the parking lot for some refreshments. Fee was 2,000 won per adult.
Would be awesome on a rainy/ foggy morning. The trail was so crowded. 3000krw for adults, family friendly

To be very frank, this forest is just like another other forest. However it has a history that Kings of jeju use to go there to breathe in the air and feel revitalise. I would recommend here only if you have ran out of attractions to visit in jeju.
This is a cool forest featuring japanese trees. Easy access by car. Around 35 min from Jeju city. All ages can can enjoy it. The entrance fee is only ₩ 3,000 per adult. The short course can be completed in 30 min, while the long in around 45. The area is pretty much flat, making it an easy trail. Although it is open all year long, it would be perfect for an easy walk during the summer due to the trees' shade. Recommended visit.
After visiting this place, I found it hard to understand why this place was so highly rated (averaging 4.6/5 at the time of this review), and resonated more with those who mentioned this place was basically nothing. Even if you are a nature lover, there are plenty of other places you should first explore before travelling to check
this one out. There is a dirt path which is starting to show its age, and a boardwalk at some parts. The nature parts were a mess to look. A couple of reviews show manicured terrains, those are at the start before the main walk. The highlight of the ‘forest’ is supposedly the Millennium Nutmeg tree, photographed, which is less than impressive. Imagine the rest of this place. There is also a nominal entrance fee.

This place rocks and is only a stone's throw away from other popular sites. I enjoyed the trails through the forest, the sometimes beautiful but creepy gazes of the stone statues and the numerous birds that hang about.
A walk through Jeju Stone Park's trails felt like stepping into another world. Ancient guardian statues and spiritual stones marking traditional tombs lined the serene paths, creating a sense of quiet wonder. While the model village with its thatched-roof houses offered a glimpse into the past, and the stone museum unveiled the island's geological secrets, the magic of the trails left the most lasting impression.
Really peaceful and interesting place if you want to learn more about Jeju Folklore with nice views/galleries.
If you are really interested about stone and rocks, and volcanic rocks, you will love it. Is a big park that you can spend up to 3 hours if you do all the 3 courses/routes. They are also still expanding the place. Electric Trams are an additional cost. Personally love the lava tube and bijarim forest more as an experience.
This place is huge. Plan on spending at least a couple hours to take it all in. I was in a wheelchair and was able to do almost all of it with my wife's help.
I was excited to visit this place after reading the good reviews, but when I got there, there are only so many stones that one can look at, before they eventually just look like, a stone. In the indoor parts they’ve tried to vary up and segregate the different types of stones. But most stones have no description of where they are from, when the curators think they were formed, and so basically just staring at a stone. The total suggested time to visit this place is around 3 hours to see all the stones, but really, does one really want to spend 3 hours to see 30,000 stones? There are also sections which are like a geography class, and also a folk village, and a reflecting sky pond that you can walk in, but none felt very impressive. This place may be worth a visit if you’re running out of things to see in Jeju, but definitely not top priority.
Gave a history of jeju island how the dol hareubang became a thing and why you see them all over the island. The area is extremely pretty with amazing views of the mountains that surrounds the park.
Great for geological history of the planet in general and rhe Island of Jeju in particular. Museum is a good educational facility.
Very unique and beautiful park. Huge but there is a mini shuttle that takes you round every 10 mins.
Really a fantastic experience. We were told it would take more or less 2 hours to see the park. At the end we stayed four and a half hours. So much to see. Everything was clean and they also had water dispensers with fresh water. An Abendland amount of toilets too. Even for people who can't walk that much there is a free electric mini bus.
Worth the visit...I went there thinking this might be a tourist trap but it really gets into the details of the geology of the island and its many landforms. There is also a huge section of the park dedicated to the traditional houses and the ways stones were used in farming, housing, and food preparation, as well as in burial. There is a massive half-underground museum and another giant structure that looks nearly finished (spring 2023)

This is a wonderful village with amazing skyline views. The statues are gorgeous. I would not want to miss this place. I highly recommend eating aside at least 4 hours for the visit.

One could not find more tranquil places than this garden in Jeju. You could be even lucky to meet the living history: Chairman Young, who built this place from the wasteland, persevering his struggles and all the doubters. One could learn many things from him, perseverance being one of them.
It's a very small garden with different variety of Bonsai trees and it takes only aroud half an hour to walk there (maximum time).
There are three or four good photogenic places.
It is famous among natives who are nature lovers or plant lovers.
The ticket price is 12,000 KRW for an adult or 10,000KRW per head for group of five or more people.
Only a Bonsai lover would not regret to pay 12,000 KRW ticket price for this garden.
Spirited garden is such a special spot in Jeju. We came on a weekday so it wasn’t too busy. The bonsai trees are out of this world, you can tell that they have been well taken care of. We also had a chance to meet the owner who started and built the garden. He was such a sweet guy!
We didn’t have a chance to try the restaurant and cafe, but we sure will on our next visit!!
This garden is truly the work of a lifetime. I can’t begin to explain the thought and care we have witnessed in the way these amazing species are displayed. A truly beautiful and calm moment spent in this garden.

Best place I went to in Jeju. My soul needed to feed the carps and learn the ways of the trees.
A beautiful and peaceful garden created through hard work by an impressive man. We met Seong Beom Yeong, the creator of the park, during our walk. He kindly talked to us and about his park. His calmness and kindness was reflected in every part of the park: the trees, the stonework, the bonsai, the carps.
Loved this garden and the philosophy behind the thought of the founder when he was curating the space. The trees were beautiful even in winter where there were little to no leaves. There’s a certain beauty to bare bonsai trees and there’s much to appreciate as well. There are signboards everywhere explaining how to appreciate the art of bonsai and how the principles of maintaining trees tie to the principles of life. I got to meet the owner and see him trim the bonsai trees, it was a treat!
However only the cafe is open, the restaurant was closed and there was a tea room that was closed which led to another part of the garden that was closed off.
Such a great relaxing and tranquil experience. The breeze blowing by and the peaceful atmosphere was a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of the city and traffic. I highly recommend coming here to relax and enjoy the delicious food. The fish ponds are very enjoyable too
This place is worth the visit! It's a peaceful, time still standing garden of heaven. We even met the man, who started creating the garden with his own hands. He was unbelievable heartwarming and all the staff is super nice. All the bunjae trees are kept and grown with love and care. The food in the restaurant is super delicious. Thank you <3

It was amazing experiences as i didn't expect to see such a place like various small gardens in a big garden. Every single potted plant known as Bunsai, i assume it would be Japanese word, is an artwork showing its long life time history with its unique beauty.

It is amazing to think all of this has been built by one man. It is a very unique environment with all the bunjae trees and beautiful nature. We had the honor to meet Sung Bum-Young when we there. He was super polite and talked a bit about the place! If you are in to gardening then this is the place for you!

It was the best experience for my South Korea trip so far. It was a nice day and the park was astonishing. The best part for me personally were the koi fish. We even met the Chairman personally and he answered all of our questions and made time for us to show us around a little bit. It was really amazing and I’m so glad for the experience and thankful that I was able to met the person who created this wonderful piece of nature and beauty. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience such a beautiful and truly unique Park. I can only recommend it. Best 15.000 Won spend ever!

Nice garden with attractive water features. Disappointed though with the cost - much more than equivalent gardens I’ve visited elsewhere around the world including charging for children who really have little appreciation at the age of four. Plus two entire garden areas on site that you can’t even visit / see and that appear much higher quality than the main garden. Numerous exhibits on site also not operational such a Puer tea room. I feel judging by all the publicity around the number of politicians that have visited they they’re mainly angling at being a place of diplomacy rather then offering a garden back to the general public.
