It's a lifetime experience to come to komodo habitat island. While it's very hot temperatures and sun heat, and you should bring enough water, you can feel a difference circumstances in the island. The sound of the crows will welcome you as you enter the gate. Came here in October and encounter only 1 adult komodo and 2 little komodos. There are lot of merchandise sellers in the island, and they got little upset and angry when you skip them

Fantastic and awesome experience sighting the Komodo dragons in their natural environment. It took some effort to walk around the island to search for these reptiles. We found them mainly near the water holes and they were not aggressive as long as they were not provoked. We were advised by the guides to keep a reasonable distance to be safe. Definitely worth a visit to be up close and personal with the dragons

We arrived at "Le Pirate Island" in the afternoon, which is only included in the tour with Le Pirate Explorer and not with other organizations. However, you can visit this island from Labuan Bajo without taking a tour or by combining it with another tour; all you have to do is organize it and pay for it separately. We slept in a beautiful beach bungalow right on the beach on the island. Sleeping there and waking up with the sunrise was a dream come true. We adored the entire island because every area is stunning and has a bohemian vibe. It's a wonderful spot to unwind. In addition, there is fantastic snorkeling just in front of the hotel.We had a fantastic night on the island with our friends.

I finally saw real komodo dragons in my life.. The ranger had a stern face but when he brought us to komodo dragons, he was so helpful taking photos for us.. He knew how to take photos from the right angle as if I was right on top of the creature.

If you loves adventure trip i highly recommend Komodo island as one of your option, You can see a wide variety of fauna while you explore the island such as deer,boar,monkey, many kind of snakes and birds, and of course the Komodo Dragon or Varanus Komodoensis as the main highlight. During your trip here you will be accompanied by a ranger or naturalist guide, They will be the one that make sure everyone is safe while also providing information about the place. There are three different trekking option that you can choose, short trek which around 40 minutes to 1 hour walk, medium trek for around 1 to 2 hours walk and long trek for 2 hours to 4 hours walk. Of course this is only the estimated time. The trek to see the famous Komodo Dragons can also be quite challenging with rugged terrain and steep inclines. While there are rest stops along the way, visitors should not expect to find any restrooms or other facilities during the trek. It's a good idea to come prepared with plenty of water and to use the facilities before starting the trek. The facilities on Komodo Island are basic and limited, with only a few small cafes and shops scattered throughout the island. These shops offer basic snacks and drinks and some even sell souvenirs.

The park itself is magnificent, stunning islands, landscapes, bays reefs etc. But I was very disappointed with the visit to the dragons. We were led into the "short hike" around the park, where the ranger led us to a spot where a big dragon was lying on the ground. He was clearly drugged up with tranquillisers, could barley move. It was very clear it was done in order to have the animal available for to take the "silly" pictures with the people that demanded that sort of thing. Shameful practice.

The real dinosaur that can you see now in this era. Komodo dragon is a ancient reptil and just a view island you can find this animal, and komodo island one of them. Becarefull because komodo is not a pet and it dangerous if you near from this animal. But don't worry the rangers in komodo national park will guide you if you entering this location. And they will give you a lot information about komodo. But don't expect you will find Komodo in your journey, because sometimes when matting season you will get disapointed when the Komodo is not appears, the rangers said that is could happend because is wildlife not in zoo. Maybe you will charge around 250 IDR for local and around 425 IDR for aliens. But it's still afordable for your experience, the place quite well maintenace, restroom is available, and have tracking path when you entering the jungle. When you going thirsty maybe you can buy in small local shop around here, the price relative more higher than in main island, but it's worth for touirsm place. If you want buy some souvenir i think the price here more cheaper than you buy in souvenir shop around airport.

Komodo Island is one of the famous tourism destination in Indonesia and the beautiful scenery will amuse all the tourist. No wonder this place became of new-7-wonder of nature. It is good to start your day by tracking the forest of Komodo National Park and then see the komodo dragon enjoying their time on the beach in the morning. The view from Komodo National Park is stunning. Looking forward to exploring new things in Komodo Island on my Christmas break this year.

As the part of New7Wonders of Nature, Komodo Island is very beautiful. When you met the dragon, they look so tempting. It is good to start your day by tracking the forest of Komodo National Park and end up by saw the Komodo relaxing their morning time at the beach. I guarantee you will be very excited when you see this exotic dragon. Meanwhile, you can also enjoy the clear sea water when you are sailing from Labuan Bajo to the Komodo Island.

I had a wonderful vacation and spotted nine dragons, four of which were in the forest and four of which were around the beach area. While the guides were excellent and answered all of the questions that were posed to them, I did not see any of the rubbish that other people have complained about. The intensity of the hawkers at the end of the tour was the only element that was less than pleasant nevertheless, I have encountered similar situations at other tourist destinations in Indonesia, although I have never actually seen them in another place in indonesia.

Best place to go for Dragon.

Easiest place where to see Komodo dragons (many conveniently hang out by the kitchen). Beware of the potential scams with the "compulsory" ranger fees (ours got significantly lowered the moment we questioned the fee amount...). We spotted a few dragons in the wild too !

We visit on feb 2020, sunny day, we started late, we go at 9am, it was recommended to go before 6am, it was a package tour on a small phinisi boat, we planned to go to padar, rinca and kelor for snorkeling (unfortunately due to late departure, we were unable to go to kelor for snorkeling) From labuan bajo to padar island it was about 3 hours on boat, we got a pretty nice deal, 24 people in a small phinisi boat (2 bed room with ac) full snack and meal and entrance ticket for about 950k idr per person. The boat was clean, toilet was ok (clean), the snack was free flow coffee, tea, mineral water (cooled), bread and jam, fried banana and cheese flat banana, instant noodle. The lunch was simple but tasty, we got fried prawn, tempeh nugget, chicken nugget, spicy tuna balado, chicken curry, and capcay. From padar island to rinca island was about 1 hour on boat. Use lots of sunblock, bring umbrella, wear hat and shade, bring lots of hidration. We walk for about 600m from the pier to the komodo park, the dragon was very lazy, but we saw quiet a lot, the komodo tour guide was helpful and good at explaining. We took the short track because of the limited time about 1,5 km walk around the park, the walk was quite fun, not too sunny inside the park. Saw some dragon lazying around. Dont feed the animals, one of my friend gave a monkey a banana and it waited us and charging at us when we came out to the pier.

Very very interesting and same dangerous place. There are 1500 dragons on this island. Also there are buffalos, deers, makaki monkeys, 13 type of snakes (kobras and vipers are one of thems) , boars.. When we have arrive like 10:30AM we were lucky to see dragon feast. Baby buffalo didn't have luck this day. The are bery fast. Their slaver is toxic and full of bacteria. One bite is enough to toxicate the victim. From the local guides we got that about 40 humans have been attacked by the dragons. Some of them are local peasents and some are tourists. Many did not make it.

From Labuan Bajo, I was renting a small boat from fisherman. To get there I have to pay 1,5 Milion but after negosiation I only have to pay 1Milion because I only want to see Rinca Island. From Labuan Bajo harbour to get there it needs 2h. And we can go to loket to buy ticket, but ticket for local and foreginer the price it's different. They have 3 route to look around the island, because at that time it will raining, so I took short route (1.5h walk). And we meet a lot Komodo there, and in the end of route we can took a pictures in the top of hill. Sadly it's raining so the picture that I took it's not good. Then after we finish the route, the tour guide bring us to rest area which they have small cafe and small shop. If you buy small komodo miniature it means you're donating to that Island. The miniature was made from wood, they have a lot of variant from small one till the big one. Last time i'm in there, I bought small komodo miniature it cost 25 rupiah and 2 post card.

this island is smaller than komodo island. so you can see the "komodo".. you dont need walk so far away.. at the start poin you will see. be carefull. but if u like an adventure just take a long track.. dont forget to bring water.

Had an amazing time in Rinca, less tourist when we came there on Desember, Ranger is friendly and very helpful, it is very nature and great hiking too around the island..

This was a really lovely beach to come to, very little rubbish compared to a lot of beaches these days. Fabulous snorkeling, the water is cool and crystal clear, the corals are amazing and beautiful fish. There are a few shops and cafes set up on the beach.

I didn't know that Labuan Bajo has 3 colours of sand beaches. Pink, white and black one. Miraculous!

I've been here three times and I never get bored of it. The landscape is amazing, the water is calm, the landscape color is a thing which you cannot enjoy everyday. You gotta be here to feel it. The people are very easy and friendly. I remember, I flew a drone and got stuck on the hill and everybody was there to help me to find it. You definitely can snorkel here but there is almost nothing interesting. On a good day, you might see some baby sea turtles go out to the ocean.

I have made a total of 30 dives in Komodo with Scuba Repuplic in September 2022. 2 Safaris: Jaya (4D/3N) & Busy Girl (6D/5N) and two daytrips. Everything was perfect. The initial contact via email was very nice and understanding. The dive guides were all super friendly, catered to guests' needs and put a lot of emphasis on safety while diving. I can recommend both safari boats. The Jaya is a bit more comfortable; the Busy Girl is much smaller and cozier and if you like drift diving, this is the right boat for you. The food was very good on both, and the rest of the boat crew was also very nice. Diving technically no wishes remained open. We saw several manta rays, sharks, eagle rays, turtles, GTs, huge schools of fish. One of the highlights was a manta school with 33! Mantas at the Golden Passage. Therefore, I can recommend Scuba Republic without any restrictions if you want to explore the beautiful underwater world in Komodo! And last but not least, thank you for the incredible time with you, there were diving experiences that I will never forget in my life!

I did a ton of research on the best Liveaboard and dive schools and I am soooo happy that the research paid off. I’ve been diving for many many years and have to say that Scuba Republic has provided one of the best experiences I have ever had. We first joined an amazing group of people with top tiered instructors for four days on their stunning Bajak boat. A beautiful 28m boat with an incredible crew and outstanding food cooked every breakfast lunch and dinner. The instructors and dive masters know each nook and cranny of some very intense dive sites (when the current is strong). Their briefings were on point, and everyone on board, no matter their skill level, felt 100% safe and equipped to dive with mantas, sharks, turtles and more around the Komodo islands. As the experience was so good we signed up to get our deep dive certificate. Through my experience I was blessed to have Finley as our instructor. A very experienced diver who taught us far beyond the course scope to ensure we knew exactly what was going on and how to tackle and difficult situations that arise. 5 stars isn’t enough. The value for money, the flexibility, kindness and overall approach from Scuba Republic has definitely set a new bar for my expectations of live aboard and dive schools. The program was great including a hike around Rinca to see Komodo islands which is different to the other islands. All in all it was a fabulous experience and I wish it was 8 days and not just 4! We just finished our first live aboard on the Bajak through Scuba Republic and can’t say enough how amazing this experience was! The equipment and boat are incredibly well-maintained, the staff are amazing and super knowledgeable, and the marine life is out of this world. The food on the Bajak was also some of the best we had on our whole trip around Southeast Asia! If you’re looking for incredible diving with a great group of people, look no further!

Went for a day trip 3 dives with Scuba Republic. I haven't dived for ages and Yunus our dive master gave me a refresher and he is just great. We went to Siaba, Batu Bolong and Mawan. All three are lovely sites, but my fav is Batu Bolong. Soooo many fish. And turtles. Didn't get to see Manta, so I have a reason to come back and dive here again with Scuba Republic. Highly recommended.

I went on a 6D/5N cruise on board of the Busy Girl and everything was great : the dives, the crew, the food (I am vegetarian and they adapted the meals for me)...Hajni was our cruise director, it was really nice and safe to dive with her. The diving spots are amazing. Also nice if you like to dive in small groups. Very good value for money !

We had 5D/4N on Bajak. Food was tasty, the crew was fun, the beds were comfortable, and the equipment was generally good. We had a brand new wetsuit and masks. We loved the vibe of the boat and crew. Felt really homey with the open kitchen. The guys were doing their best to make us feel great. The med kit was full and well equipped. We felt safe, and it was fun diving with Scuba Republic. Due to Esteban's willing to work with our group, we did an overnight liveaboard for the same price as other dive shops did for their day dives. The DM was excellent at directing the dive to the clients wishes and the dives were fantastic! My husband has been diving since 1977 and has done two of his top four dives EVER on this trip! The diving instructors are very professional and we had a lot of fun with them. Our group did different activities on the same day from discovery dives to advanced dives and the open water diving course and it all went really well. The boat crew is brilliant too, very helpful and super nice. There were good snacks throughout the day, breakfast and a lovely lunch. Only good things to say about the whole experience with them and amazing selection of different diving sites.

We went for a dive with Paco and it was just amazing ! We were beginners so he really tried to learn us scuba diving in order for us to make the most of our dive. We saw a lot of mantas, beautiful corals and a ton of turtles ! It was really the best day, the boat was very confortable and our instructor was amazing, thank you again!

This was our first liveaboard experience and it was really great. The staff on the boat (Busy Girl) were the best. The service was perfect and the atmosphere very warm and welcoming. The food was nice and plentiful. Our guide Jo was very knowledgeable, professional and experienced. We felt real safe at all times. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. We would definitely recommend to anyone !

Me and my husband went for a one day diving trip. We did 3 dives in the central part and really enjoyed it. The dive centre is well organised, with good equipment and a friendly approach to the guests. The boat is spacious and comfortable with beanbags and benches. The big toilets with fresh water showers are a big plus as well. We went for a day dive trip with a speed boat few days earlier and really appreciated the space and comfort of this boat, even though it was a bit slower. The guides are experienced, friendly and knowledgeable. Next time we visit Flores we will be back for more dives with Scuba republic.

Had a day out on the boat. (2 dives & 1 island stop). Shop staff, boat crew, dive guides, dive equipment, food all top notch !!!! Boat is awesome with heaps of space on upper deck to chill and eat lunch, and loads of well planned space downstairs to get your dive gear on. It had been a little while between dives for me and I was very fortunate to be buddied up with a guide for a two person dive. Archie is a great guide who was very aware and very at-tentative. In a town full of 35+ dive operators, I highly recommend this crew !!

I just finished my 6th dive with these guys over two days and I just needed to say the staff were amazing, the diving spots, the equipment, the dive leaders, were top notch 👌. I dive with Scuba Republic for one dive (I was referred there from my usual dive shop) and I wish I would have dive more with them. The boat is safe and comfortable, the food excellent and the crew nice and professional. My dive guide (Ianos) was super pro and made from the Cauldron an amazing experience. I wouldn't doubt to repeat anytime!

We had a once in a lifetime experience with this team, I was told the dives here were gonna be jaw dropping and it absolutely was. Hajni was our guide and she made every dive spectacular, she’s amazing in and out of the water. The food was incredible and the Bajak boat we were in, was lovely, they mentioned it was a “budget cruise” but we never felt it since we were so spoiled and well taken care of. Esteban and the office staff are always approachable and knowledgeable, would absolutely come back to dive with them again.

What an amazing experience! Scuba republic is such a smooth operation! Did 3D/2N on the Bajak. The boat is clean and the food is delicious. The crew and guides are so friendly and helpful with the equipment and suggestions for improving. I was lucky on one of my dives I experienced an incredible manta ray train that swam right over my head. This moment will be forever stuck in my mind. Very Instagram place , this beach really really clean and pink , very good spot for snorkeling, unfortunately I cannot swim so I cannot snorkeling 😆, I just play water arround and eat Indomie Goreng in warung in front of the beach, classic 👏🏻 and I enjoy here, very lovely place and you should come here if you visit Bajo.

The sand at the Pink Beach (part of the Komodo National Park in Indonesia) has an interesting tinge of pink. What was also terrific at the Pink Beach were the nice clear water and the good variety of marine life there. The water was a little chilly.

The beach overall is great, it has blue and clean water but it's just a bit pink, definitely overhyped.

Beautiful beach in the Komodo National Park. The sand is pink because of corals and some micro organisms. The water is very clean. One of the best places for snorkeling also.

Unforgettable experience! In Nusa Penida you can pay 300k for Manta bay trip (20% chance of seeing mantas) or 500k for manta point (80-90% chance of seeing mantas). We chose Manta Point as we wanted the extra chance and we were not disappointed! The day trip was a real memory from our time in Bali. The mantas were absolutely massive and there were so many of them! Fantastic videos and photos, taken by the trip guides. All uploaded onto a WhatsApp group for everyone to download at their leisure. Absolutely worth while experience.

Great diving with Mantas! We were super lucky with visibility the day we went. 3 manta rays were circling as we descended, could see them from the surface too. Amazing experience. However this place can be crowded and full of boats sometimes. One irresponsible dive center dropped divers directly on top of the cleaning station, which scared the manta rays away immediately. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!!

Lives up to the hype. Saw tons of manta rays (largest had ~2m wingspan), also spotted stingrays, bamboo shark, white-tipped reef shark, and an octopus! Gets crowded with dive boats, but there's enough space for everyone. A world dive highlight for sure!

Great dive site to see Mantas, dived here at the end of June, and saw about 6 Mantas. The dive site was pretty crowded with boats and divers. It's a nice scenic trip to the dive site on the boat.

This is a MUST VISIT place. Mantas here are swimming around you and don’t even need to chase. I saw at least 6 mantas in one dive. Highly recommended!

We went diving at this point. Saw sooo many mantas and very very big too. It was really good. Book a scuba that takes you to Manta point. It is around 45 mins boat ride from Nusa Lembongan island. Lovely place!

Too many diving boat and divers there at 9am, so it’s too noisy, we only saw 2 black Manta Rays at Manta point. But black Manta is rare one, we’re lucky.

It was a very cold dive for me. It is said to be 22 degrees but felt like 15 for me even with 5mm wet suit. It was all worth it when we saw lots of small stingray and then manta ray ❤❤❤ photo care of Octopus Dive Shop crew.

Went during the rainy season and there wasn’t much divers or snorkels. Feels surreal being in the water with manta rays. Water was really blue this season and viability was great. The best way to capture the mantas is to stay in a spot and wait for them to come to you. These creatures get really curious and playful.

I would say you nearly have a guarantee to see manatas there 🤩 We were one of the first divers there in the morning with Ceningan Divers and when coming out of the water it was already full with other dive boats. The visibility wasn't really good when we went there but we heard it can be much better. The water was really cold, around 22°C, so bring a warm 5mm wetsuit and hood with you!

We saw no life except for our own dive group because the visibility was <5m. There might have been a pod of one hundred mantas dancing Tango for all I know. The worst though was that it was freezing. FREEZING. Don’t bother with one 5mm wetsuit, bring two.

There are 2 tours: Tour 1: 3 spots to stop and swim for about 15 min, 2 to see Manta and the last one is to see turtles. It is better to do this tour a little bit more earlier. 250,000 Idr p/p and it is included all gears to do snorkeling, video- taken by the tour guide, towel once you finish swimming and they provide you water on the boat. Tour 2: this tour is called Manta point. It cost the double of the tour 1 , offer the same things and it has only 2 stops. I will definitely recommend the tour 2 to do only. Yes , it is cost you the double but it is 99% sure that you will see them. I did both, first the tour 1 and we didn’t see them but we saw many corals and fishes. I had to do the tour 2 to see the Mantas!

There are so many boats full of snorkelers that if you did see one I can't imagine it would be that much of a pleasant and safe experience for you or the Manta.
