Friends took us for a visit here. A beautiful walk into the temple… about 10 minutes or so from main gate. Lots of activity going on including wedding photos in traditional dress. If in the area definitely make a stop by. It was also lovely to walk through the park it sits with in.

Lovely, serene walk beneath the shade of the trees before you get to the shrine. A relief to get away from the bustle of the city and the lure of shopping. Hear your soul speak to you as you pace through the paths. The grounds and the buildings of the Shrine themselves are also beautiful. Beware of rule about photography, particularly where at the sites where devotees are worshipping. I would say not to be missed when you're in Tokyo.

This is a really beautiful shrine. I appreciated the story behind it and walking up to it through the forest is so peaceful. There was also an impressive display of painted sake barrels and it was interesting to read about them. There were many people and the day was hot but the trees kept us cool. It's quite a magical place. When I learned that the trees were donated from all over Japan and now it's a natural forest I was really surprised. It's so beautiful and I'm thankful that such an incredible place is right here in Tokyo.

Set in the midst of Tokyo's forest lies this serene shrine. Despite the bustling crowds, the atmosphere remains tranquil with pleasant weather. The shrine and its surroundings exude a simple yet stunning beauty. Nestled within the garden, there's a delightful restaurant and café, offering a peaceful escape to savor the beauty around. This is a place not to be overlooked.

A gorgeous shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken. My visit was particularly interesting, as it happened to be raining at the time, which I think further enhanced it's beauty. I approached the shrine through a forested path, leading into the main courtyard, which is quite open and features a stone tile floor. The highlight of my visit was witnessing an entourage of the shrine's priests passing through the courtyard. While it's not permitted to take photos or videos of the priests, just being able to see them was a very exciting experience. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting if you're able to!

Amazing, and beautiful shrine located in the middle of a gorgeous park. Don't miss a visit while in Tokyo. I went twice, tossed a couple of coins, witnessed a wedding procession, and explored the park at leisure.

It’s definitely not your typical shrine in terms of size. However, and due to its location near Harajuku and being actually in Shibuya, even if it can get tiring exploring the whole complex, there are many people who come, foreigners and locals alike. I’ve come here for a total of 3 times in the last 8 years and the volume of people seem to be almost the same, whether it’s winter or spring. There are many parts of the shrine that’s either paid, or freely accessible but you cannot take photos of. Also, you’d definitely wait to take turns to pray at the main shrine, or get your stamp, or buy your food, or use the toilet…you get the picture.

First Shrine I visited while I was in Japan in Nov. It was a long walk in till you reach the Shrine. You can throw a coin and make a prayer at the main sanctuary (do note you can't take photos/videos of the main sanctuary where people pray as well as the souvenir stalls.) You can also purchase a hanging tablet at ¥500 & write your wishes or gratitude on it to hang near the tree. There's a divine tree that represents good relations of husband and wife. I happened to witness a wedding procession during my visit there, was eye-opening! On your way out, do try the savory Dango sold at Forest Terrace! It's delicious!

This shrine was stunning and very peaceful. The area has a museum and gardens that can also be visited. These have to be paid for, though the shrine is free. Inside the shrine are two trees, known as the husband and wife trees. They are huge and quite wonderful. Photos are not allowed of the actual shrine or the amulet selling areas, but you can take pictures in the courtyard. The area of the shrine is large, and there is only one disability accessible toilet near the Sake display. It is a distance away from the actual shrine, so do not leave things too late. The path is gravel in areas, so it can be difficult for manual wheelchairs or for people with walking disabilities. It is possible to hire wheelchairs but there is a long walk to the hiring area. The actual shrine and the museum are accessible. The gardens are not accessible as there are steps throughout.

Stunning shrine and park area. It's amazing to walk from the busy streets into this park which really feels like entering the woods. The walkway is extremely broad and impressive, the Tori you walk by/through are enormous. You will also walk by a display of sake and wine barrels. There is also the opportunity to walk to a well for a small entrance fee. The scenery there is beautiful and really worth it. The shrine is really amazing and features impressive camphor trees.

An infamous Temple and garden in the middle of Tokyo, Japan. It is a 5 Min walk from Harajuku station. It is beautiful in any season due to their wide variety of trees and meticulous grounds maintenance. It is extremely accessible and free. Consider for a visit whether you live here or visiting.

It was a very scenic walk into the shrine - you can really feel at peace and zen here, with the occasionally ruffling sounds of the trees along the path. That’s a train station right outside the shrine so it’s pretty convenient to get to as well! I recommend adding this to your bucket list if you’re ever coming to Japan!

Rich history and culture at this shrine. Very very popular tourist spot, so expect tons of people in your pictures or video. Still didn’t feel overcrowded where I couldn’t get around. It’s no wonder why it’s one of the top spots to see while in Tokyo. It’s a 10 minute walk through the park to get to the actual shrine, but worth crossing off the bucket list! Couldn’t capture its beauty as we came on a cloudy and rainy day. At 9am, the crowd still wasn’t there but are on the way in when we are leaving. Would come again when it’s sunnier but loved the tranquility. There is a whole park around the shrine for you to stroll and the trees are very tall.

This Meiji Shrine is a must-see! It's a gorgeous place to visit throughout the year. However, please remember to be respectful when you visit. This shrine is a sacred place of worship that is open to the public. So, while you enjoy the sightseeing, please be mindful that others may be actively praying around you.

One of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm visiting Tokyo. A great way to get away from it all, although the number of people and tourists seem to increase every time I come here. The Meiji Jingu is really huge, and more like a park than a temple, with a walk from any entrance requiring at least 10 minutes to get to the temple proper. But that is part of the mystique and beauty of it, with the very large and very old trees offering a covered and serene view, and the Japanese crows calling to each other in the distance or possibly right overhead. Once at the temple, follow the posted instructions to keep quiet and respectful. Also, as taken from JAL's website: "When entering the grounds of a temple, it’s important not to step directly on the threshold of the main gate. Women should enter with their right foot first, while men enter with their left—a practice that only a few people remember." "If you wish to pray in the main hall of the temple, throw a few coins into the offering box. There is no suggested amount or specific lucky coin to consider. There is also no need to clap before you pray. Simply bow at a slight angle (some suggest 45 degrees as the ideal angle), put your hands together, and offer up your prayers. Bow once more when leaving the main hall and also as you exit the temple grounds." A visit is highly recommended, just be respectful when you do.

It's a Shinto Shrine in Tokyo, established in 1920 by Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken who were responsible to establish the modern Japan. It's a nice, peaceful place with a garden surrounding it. It's worth visiting the Shrine.

This shrine, set within 70 hectares of forest, feels so far away from the busy city, but there are train stations just a short walk from here. Buying "Votive Tablets" and/or "Goshuins" are both popular amongst visitors. It makes a really nice day out to combine this with the Yoyogi Park/Gardens which have Cherry Blossoms in full bloom just now.

A very beautiful shrine! There are a lot of nice areas to walk around and the main area to pay your respects. There are multiple ways to engage with the shrine and it is a nice experience no matter who you go with. Everyone’s very respectful. It’s a bit busy, understandably so.

In the vicinity of JR station (Harajuku) throngs of visitors naturally will walk into this majestic place to appreciate its historical significance. In fact, Meiji Shrine and the adjacent Yoyogi Park make up a large forested area within the densely built-up city and offer walking paths for a relaxing stroll away from the concrete.

Very cool and busy place on a Sunday afternoon. Managed to arrive in time for a very fancy wedding ceremony. Great escape from the rush and hurry of Tokyo.

We needed some strong coffee, so we visited Sutābakkusu -Shibuya Starbucks Tsutaya. Yes it was busy, however the staff were friendly and service was reasonably fast considering the popularity of the café. And we really needed a good coffee because we had been in Japan for a week! Luckily we got a window seat with views of Shibuya Crossing and ate our pastries and drank two mugs of coffee and rested our weary feet! We recommend visiting Starbucks it has aircon comfy seats and the coffee taste like good!

Probably one of the busiest Starbucks I've seen. They're second floor overlooks the shibuya crossing and you can see everything. Making it so busy all the time. Good luck snagging a seat by the window. At night it's gorgeous

We were lucky enough to get great seats and were able to watch morning traffic while enjoy an ok breakfast and coffees. The two stars is based on the general dirtiness of the dining area the morning we went. The toilets were also filthy. Unfortunate for such a well situated cafe.

Been there in October 2018 and it was one of the things you must see and experience for yourself! Since Shibuya region is also a nice dining/shopping area it is not the only thing for you to go there. Therefore, I would say that you should definitely go check it out! A tip: Starbucks second floor gives you a perfect view (I took the videos from Starbucks). However, keep in mind that everyone is thinking the same and you might have to wait for a while! We were lucky to find a seat immediately!

I don't normally do starbucks for coffee, but this branch is famous for its view of Shibuya's scramble crossing. I had the matcha frappucino and it was very good.  A little coarse with fine grains of ice throughout but the flavour was on point for a matcha hit that's great when you want a cold drink. Unfortunately when we went at night it was very busy and we had to search for an available seat as someone was leaving.  I guess that's to be expected but the people with the best view seemed to be camped there passing time even after they had long finished their drinks.  Given the design, there's also no logical place to stand to watch the crossing making it possibly a long wait, luck or excusing yourself through to get that opportunity.

Very busy place, I wait 10-15 minutes to seat, but I really enjoy the Halloween theme and I even bought two MAGNIFIC mugs japanese limited edition. From there it's possible to see the famous and busy Shibuya Crossing, and the Achiko's statue. I guess it is one of the iconic place to visit when you are in Tokyo. Hope to come back soon.

Starbucks tastes just like it does in the U.S. Exactly. Good prices. Lower than at home. The straws are much bigger also! Very nice! The donuts are nice! We don’t have those back home. The store is not too bustle on a weekday. The weekends it’s a madhouse. I wish there was more seating and there was a limit on how long someone can stay in the cafe before they have to leave. Playing on their phones after their coffee ran out a half hour ago is not cool. Give up your seat to someone else! Think about this Starbucks! We’re from Seattle, where Starbucks is from and based and time limits do exist at some of our stores. It’s not rude. What’s rude is taking up other customer’s space!

Bought a gift set for my friend and We drank a cup of coffee. Every story have it's own theme and You may feel not only antique but modern. That is the biggest Starbucks mall in Japan.

This Starbucks is situated at one of the prime locations in Tokyo, at Shibuya crossing, which is visited by millions every day. This place gets very busy all times of the day and you could have to wait before you can get a place to sit. From the 2nd floor of this place, you can get a good view of the Shibuya crossing and is a perfect place to capture the crossing pictures. This place is located inside Tsutaya store, which is a store worth visiting. I wish this Starbucks had more space for people to sit.

I simply came here in the evening to order some iced chai. The drink itself was delicious and refreshing, and the staff were extremely helpful when ordering!!! The interior is amazing, although extremely crowded at the time I visited. There were few free seats, but I was able to get a seat after waiting near a window for a short while. Once I was seated (next to one of the major glass windows facing the crossing), the view was ASTOUNDING!!!!! I could see the entire crossing, seeing the range of people in the area and the large crowds from above. It was tranquil to watch from the interior of the cafe and overall an incredible view. The store itself is a little difficult to find (requiring a short trip through another store to reach the Starbucks) but some very kind students were able to help us find our way. Great location, I highly recommend a short trip here if you are looking to find a great view of the crossing!

If you'd like to have the extra Starbucks experience, this is THE one shop to go to when exploring Tokyo. I don't promise much, it's only a Starbucks where you can get those special Japanese cherry blossom coffee variants in Spring - but go upstairs, try to catch a seat at the window counter (or stay formally behind them) and spare some minutes looking at Shibuya Scramble Crossing up there. There are some more spots to look at it, but since travelling Japan a few times, this Starbucks is just a go to spot for me I'm returning to every time being in Tokyo. Recommendated day time: evining.

This Starbucks offers the best view of the Shibuya crossing. The ambiance is great! I got the Sakura green tea donut. Taste is just okay but its a little treat while sitting there for people watching. Went there during lunch time, it wasn’t too busy. Most people are pretty polite about not taking a seat without purchasing something.

One of the best views of Shibuya Crossing, while drinking coffee. Obviously, you will have to wait in line to secure a spot here. I was very lucky to get a seat after grabbing my order. If you have between 10-30min to spare waiting in line and want to try getting a spot by the window to people watch, you should go for it. Other than that, it's just like any other Starbucks... The quality of their drinks and food is great and once you've given your order, it'll be prepared quickly!

If you’re early enough you can get a good seating facing the Shibuya crosswalk. Easy to find too, 3-4 floors are CD’s DVD’s and Records for rent.

The idea of having a memorial dedicated to an awesome dog is fantastic. The statute in itself is quite small (about 2.5 meters tall) so it's very easy to overlook. That said, there are plenty of signs inside Shibuya station to point you to the statute and it makes a good meeting point. There's no light around the statute (as you can see from the photo taken around 9pm in summer) and often there are many people smoking or just hanging out in the area. So probably not the best meeting spot but still a pretty good landmark overall.

Hachiko Gate, an exit that is usually swarmed with visitors whenever they visit Shibuya, likewise, I found myself amongst the rest, waiting patiently for my turn to keep Hachiko in my album too. One of the locals I bumped into shared that regardless weekdays, Hachiko Gate remain one of the top places to visit among Shibuya Sky. So, wait not, pop by and say hello to Hachiko!

This was a highlight of my trip. There was probably a 50% line for folks waiting to take a photo with the statue so definitely be prepared to wait for that because it is extremely famous. The story goes that even after his owner died the dog continued to wait at the train station for his owner to return which symbolizes loyalty and love. I gave him a kiss :-)

Great place to commemorate Hachiko. A lot of people are usually here taking pictures you will not get a good shot. Come here early in the morning or 3pm in the afternoon few people are queuing during that time.

Located outside the Shibuya Crossing station. Busy area on a Saturday, but definitely a landmark easy enough to stop by if you’re in the area. There’s a good movie based on a true story to go along with this visit especially for families and kids…Hachi: A Dog’s Tale.

Cool story of a loyal dog at such a wonderful place in Shibuya. The statue itself is about 2.5m tall and located at the busiest place in Shibuya, so you won't missed it. Everyone will want to take a picture of it. So please be quick and be prepared to wait awhile for your turn.

Come if you don't mind waiting in a long queue to take a picture of Hachikō. I visited during lunch hour and there was already an extremely long queue snaking all around the entire path. I didn't bother queuing as I was alone, but I can imagine it would make for a good photo-op if you were with someone else. The statue is exactly what you would see online on travel websites, and essentially the poor dog's paws have been rubbed so much that the colour was coming off (see pictures for details). If you are taking pictures with it, be mindful to just take a few quick ones so as to allow other people behind you to take too! Or if you're like me, you could just stand at the side (not in the queue) and sneak a shot of the status, albeit with a random person posing next to it.

It’s a story we learned about long before planning our trip so when we were at the station we had to go see it. I don’t know hope we got so lucky that there were no other people there but it was easy to visit. It would be nice if there was a bigger memorial plaque explaining the significance.

Every dog deserves 5 stars! Area and statue was well-kept and everyone made a line to take a picture. *Good part is the line was made in one direction facing the front of the statue. So I went off towards the side to take a picture. Although I could be right next to the statue, didn't want to wait in line so I took pics everytime someone from the line finished from 20 feet away to the sides of the lines.

If you don't know the story of the dog named "Hachiko", check out Richard Gere's "Hachi: A Dog's Tale" The status is located right out side of Shibuya JR train station entrance next to the famous scramble crossing, and it is always swarming with people.

This is not a judgment on the statue. The area is way too busy. Hundreds of people pushing and shoving to see the dog statue and take their selfies with it. If you want to see it, I'd recommend a less busy time, if there is one for this location.

Itself is located at busy area, you saw it when you walked by. People take picture with the statue. The best thing we had as we met a man who is volunteer to taking pictures for visitors. He is very professional and taking pictures good and quick!

Nothing much to say… it’s a small statue of a dog where foreigners where lining up to take photos of it. Is this why some people come to Japan? I think it’s very overrated… no need to see. But if you want to, take the JR exit of the Shibuya station. It’s directly there.

Shibuya Station Exit No.8... The Hachiko Gate, named after an Akita dog famed for its loyalty to its master, opens onto Hachiko Square on the northwest side of the station. The statue of Hachiko here is one of the most popular meeting spots in Japan.

There’s nothing special other that the story behind it. People were handling the dog’s legs as it’s very shiny! The statue nearby is more interesting !

If you know the story and watched the movie, and cried over and over... then it's the memorial you want to visit and have a picture with it. I also went to visit the cemetery where the owner is bared and Hachiko's ashes (?) Or little memorial. Loved the story and heartbroken 💔 thinking how painful could have been for the dog. It's also next to shibuya crossing, so easy to find it. Only problem is the queue of people trying to get a picture

To see Hatchiko was one of my goals in Japan. This dog represents loyalty and so much love from our pets that I wanted to have a picture with that statue. His story is very touching. We humans don’t deserve pets 🥹 There was a longer line to wait, around 10-15 min waiting time. Hatchiko was decorated and costumed which I really found sweet by the tokio government to do so, you can see that they really honour this dog and his story. Also I found out that uniqlo has at the moment at Shibuya any shirt collection called: shibuya Hatchiko with nice designs. A nice souvenir to get 🥰

This statue is to commemorate and remember Hachiko, the loyal dog who went to the train station every day for 9 years looking for his owner. Unfortunately his owner was killed in WW2 and would never return. This loyal dog is considered a national symbol of Japanese loyalty and stoicism. Ironically, you will wait almost 9 years to take your photo next to the statue if you go on during dinner time or, heaven forbid, on the weekend. The statue is right next to Shibuya Scramble so there will be people everywhere. Just line up and wait for the chance to take a photo. We waited about 5 minutes having gone on a Sunday evening. All that being said, it’s a nice statue and definitely worth the photo. I might recommend coming during the day to avoid massive crowds and get a better photo. There’s also a Hachiko mural right next to the station, although with the large crowds at all times it’s hard to get a nice photo in front of it. Still recommend at least seeing the statue even if you’re not keen on waiting for a photo. It’s an somewhat important part of Japanese culture and history.

It seems there is always a queue to take a photo with the statue. It shows how many people visit Shibuya/Tokyo everyday and how popular this place is.

Such a nice park to roam around specially during the fall weather. It was a nice slightly cold, slightly warm temperature. The park is huge and family friendly. They even have separate play areas for pets. There is a huge ground where you can play games like catch, badminton, etc. Benches all around to just sit and relax. Many people were even enjoying picnics on the grounds.

Yoyogi Park offers a sprawling and serene escape right in the heart of the city, providing a haven for relaxation and leisure. The vast expanse of greenery allows for ample space to unwind and enjoy nature's beauty. However, it's worth noting that occasional disturbances can occur due to nearby noise, such as airplanes or helicopters passing by. This might slightly interrupt the tranquil atmosphere that the park otherwise provides. In conclusion, Yoyogi Park is a wonderful urban oasis that offers respite from the city's hustle and bustle. Its vastness, coupled with the availability of amenities like toilets and benches, makes it an ideal spot for relaxation and leisurely activities. I had the most beautiful day in this area, combining this park with the nearby Meiji Jingu Shinto Shrine. The cherry blossom is in full flow and many people are coming to picnic under the trees. Do walk around the whole park as blossoms are located in several places and also some other nice parts of this park

It's large, not crouded, open 24hours, and has lots of green so I love this place. But often scary in night (young guys drinking and partying), and sometimes a bit scary even in daytime (many crows flying around hunting for garbage). But absolutely one of the best parks in Tokyo.

I recently visited Yoyogi Park and it was absolutely stunning! The trees in the park were so tall and lush that they provided a perfect shade from the hot sun. The tree trunks, along with the vibrant flowers, made the park look like it came straight out of a fairy tale. Even though I had a tight schedule, I couldn't resist the park's beauty and stayed for a while. It's an excellent place to relax and unwind, surrounded by nature. Plus, it's conveniently located near the Meiji Jingu Shrine, so it's a great spot to visit after seeing the shrine. Overall, my experience was great, and I would highly recommend a visit to Yoyogi Park to anyone who loves nature or is looking for a peaceful escape from the city.

Really big park and really peaceful. People go there to walk, doing exercise, bicycle, yoga, dance and everything. You can see a lot of couple enjoying the weather and Family and friends have some foods and relax time on the dining area and in the grass. The atmosphere here is really nice and the park is beautiful !

The walking paths here are a dream for joggers and strollers alike, and I must say, taking a leisurely walk around the pond was a highlight for me. The reflection of the trees on the water was picture-perfect! 📷 The dog run area was full of the cutest pups, all playing and having the time of their lives—absolute cuteness overload! 🐕❤️ As the day drew to a close, I found myself sitting by the water, watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and pink. It was the perfect end to a perfect day. Yoyogi Park, you stole my heart! I can't wait to come back. 🌅🧡

Came here in the middle of March 2019. This place is the place if you like to spent time in the open area. You can take your children play in here, as long as you not breaking the rules. Hopefully, could come here again, in sakura season, because many sakura trees in here. Don't forget bring your own game to play with your children outdoor. A spacious and fairly picturesque park we visited after visiting Meiji Jingu shrine. There seemed to be a lot going on and it's a great place to walk around and take in the Tokyo crowd. While we were there, there was a music festival going on which looked like a lot of fun! Would recommend a visit if in the area!

Beautiful park with a great shrine inside! Not a lot of benches or open areas to relax in, so be prepared this is more of a “walking” park than a sitting park. Also, they close at dusk, so winter hours are minimal!

A huge, tranquil park in heart of Shibuya. Lots of peaceful areas to walk. Also has a great track for running. Don't miss the blossom trees in spring (there were some early varieties starting to bloom in January and February!) For an adorable dog fix, check out the dog exercise area which is sorted by dog size. There is also a cute pony park area which seasonally offers pony rides or carrot feeding 😊 We went in off-season, but met a pretty horse called Rose and the staff were very friendly and allowed us to take photos.

Another great park in Tokyo, and for me, a must-visit place. The main attraction is the wide open grassy spaces surrounded by cherry trees. The park is perfect for a picnic, doubly so if you can visit during the famed cherry blossom season. Good luck though because the crowds will be insane, and difficult to find a prime spot of grass to setup your picnic. Other than that, a select few cherry blossoms were already in bloom during our visit at the very beginning of the season, so that's nice.

So good in the hanami season is surreal. People having a great time under the cherry blossoms, drinking, eating, laughing, playing cards, football and even badminton! The scene was fantastic; no amount of pictures would make it justice. Tokyo’s Yoyogi park is finally in bloom in 2024! Hanami came later than predicted but the warmer and wet weather in the last week has finally welcome the much anticipated bloom of the cherry blossoms. Expect the crowds to be significant but as always well worth the journey. The bloom should be really good over the next 10-14 days. The park is easy to access especially from the Harajuku entrance although the other entrances like the West gate is much less crowded. There is ample grounds for kids with multiple playgrounds, families or couples, it is dog friendly and is immensely wheelchair friendly. It’s also FREE and open 24h.

Not any better than the one in the US and their boba is substandard. They do got pasta which was decent. I paid around 3000 Yen for this and a shrimp avacado pasta. I would recommend just finding a random Japanese restaurant.

Some of the stores look super cool with their decorations. Every afternoon there’s a sale (5pm or so) and you’ll know about that because the staff will _shout_! You will definitely find super fashionable things to wear, but for me my visit was perhaps enough (hanging with friends) because of my own values (I like my clothes to have a long lifespan). The best shopping mall for girls and women! They have so many different types of shops and the best selections. I believe it is 10 floors (including the two basement floors) and have food shops, kimono shops, formal clothes, daily clothes, makeup, accessories and more! Like many others have said, the shopping here can be quite expensive - however! If you're a mall wanderer, or just need a break from the heat outside, this place is great. There's cool bathrooms on many floors, one has a "deodorizing air shower" that my group didn't try, but it'd definitely be an interesting experience! There's many seating areas close to the washrooms on various floors. Also on the 11th floor is a convenience store (Lawson's, but PSA that I didn't find any Salmon Onigiri), and you can see Shibuya crossing from up here. Photos may be difficult because the outer glass is quite dirty, but it's a fun viewing experience. On the basement floors, there's two gelato places I believe. We hunted for Tofu ice cream, which this one had, though my group mates commented that it wasn't as similar as the specialty tofu ice cream they tried while in Kyoto.

Having stayed at the Westin Tokyo, it was really easy to cross the street to get to this opulent and grand brewery. But it's easy to get to the brewery from the Ebisu Station as there are moving walkways from the station leading you to the square that Yebisu Beer occupies. The beer selection here is interesting and tasty. The interesting part of buying beers to taste is that you exchange yen for tokens in a machine, then you exchange those tokens for the various beers you're interesting in tasting. The tasting room BTW is relaxing and located in a fairly grand hall with high ceilings. All in all a nice experience.

Late May 2023. Review is on Harajuku itself, not the station (though the station itself is very convenient) Go, walk. Shops and Crepes. The day we went it didn't seem that busy. We were on the main street, but the side streets seemed shuttered(?). It may be because we went late in the afternoon. Suggestion is probably go when you want a crepe for lunch (preferably at a time when not so many people are also looking for a crepe). Weekend would probably be cooler to see more people in their 'be yourself' wear. If I were with a younger group of people, I'd browse more. But was with my older brothers, so they weren't as interested, as just to have been there. lols, the tour group brought us all the way to the sailor moon store, which was cool, if I were with a younger group of people. =P. This was the last stop with the tour for the day. Brothers wanted izakaya - we went to Yokocho.

Boom, boom, boom!!! A must-visit place before you die. A bustling and unique place with full of vibes. Fashion, food, jewellery, pets, art, tradition, you name it. 100% you will forget about time around here. Only your stomach tells you when it needs your attention. Everything is near by the station. It is a fantastic area for a day visit from kids to grand parents. Just make sure that you visit here after your pay day or with an unlimited credit card. What an incredible experience Harajuku offers. 3 stars for me as I like a bit more humble places.

Modern, clean and efficient. I do miss the old station though, it had a lot more character and charm.

Maybe one of my favorite stations in all of Japan, old architecture (please keep it so) The station connected to the JR and Tokyo Metro lines. There is a lot of food street when you goes out the station, Harujuku station is more than a train station, its an Japan modern entertainment and style.

Free WiFi. Spacious seating during COVID-19. It's decent but no InNOut and it's quite over priced in Japan. But if you need that American Fast Food/Junk Food fix it will hit the spot. Great Japan Exclusive Black Sesame Shake though.

We went here to pray. Please note that there’s no toilet or wudu area inside the center. But they have provided water bottles spray for wudu. Prayer mat and telekung is also provided. You can also give donation to help improve the prayer space as there’s a donation box provided. The person in charge is very welcoming and friendly lady. She even gave me a booklet containing where to pray and find halal food in Tokyo. This will be so useful for my future trip. Because the prayer space can only fit one person at a time, while waiting for turn, feel free to browse the halal food section. Thank you HTIC!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Near Shinjuku Station!

Very close to the station, there is a prayer room, and the staff speaks english! The only lacking thing is they have no bathroom for wudhu

The experince was quite bad. As we reached the place , only we both in that place. But both of the crew were somewhat bias or racist as they didnt welcome or greet us when we entered the place as. We spent there quite some time , the place was so quiet as they were being aloof & no smile or say anything at all , until the next group of other foreign custormers entered , they bow & welcome & greet them immediately. Isnt it awkward & fake? After that, one of the crew know that he didnt greet us yet since we entered when nobody else there he then decided to greet us later. I wont come back ever again

We did a Mt.Fuji & Hakone 1 day tour from Tokyo. It was a waste of our time and money. We only saw Mt. Fuji from the bus. We wanted to take pictures of Mt. Fuji but was disappointed that we only drove through. The bus only took us to shops and we are not big shoppers. This tour was not as advertised. The only thing that we enjoyed was lunch.

The guides are very accommodating and very helpful! Just a tip on what to book/not book... Book the Sumo experience - super cool. Only book the robot restaurant if you want to experience a tourist catered night time cheesy light show centred around mainly drinking :) Good for a cheesy night out. Don't book an animal Cafe that isn't cats if you are not into animals being confined to small cages that are not their natural habitat or anywhere close to it and that are clearly hungry/bored out of their minds. The worst ones are the owl, otter, chinchilla, hedhog and other exotic animal cafes. We were in tears after visiting the otter cafe and regretted every minute of it. The otters were clearly mistreated and stressed out. A horrible experience and the worst side of Japan that I have seen.

There is a prayer room for Muslim but you need your own water spray for ablution. Small but comfortable.

I highly recommend this company. The staff were really helpful. Especially the girl, she went out of her way to help me find a doctor to get medication I needed urgently. I came back and booked a tour to Mount Fuji which was amazing and well priced. It worked out cheaper then doing it ourselves, catching trains and buses. Great staff, great tours and services on offer.

A huge scam. We rented unlimited Wi-Fi and even went back to EXTEND the rental, and they took our money for the extension. However, from beginning to end no one told us there was a limit of 10GB. We called and the man on the phone said after 10GB it will slow down. No one ever told us that, and it’s still a lie because the internet said “no connection” after 10GB and we restarted it at least 10 times. We feel extremely cheated because we made a stop specifically to go extend it. Instead of giving us a fresh device, they charged us for 3 days extra (as if we were getting a new device), but gave us the old one again. Extremely deceitful people.

A cute little district full of retro-hip clothing and fashion stores. On the main throughfare is full of designer and luxury boutiques. The night Christmas lights are beautiful.

Love this place. Posh but cozy. My family always finds time to visit whenever we're in Tokyo. High end and eclectic brands have great curated presence here. The mall is laid out uniquely with a continuous ramp that takes one all the way up to the restaurant level. There is a great children's store with nice small playground for young children on basement level. The restaurants above are great mix. Our fave is Kageyamarou Chinese Restaurant though. Everything is well made and the price is still quite reasonable, especially considering its location.

Well... I feel they should have more coffee and rest places. Too many people for the couple of benches they have... Not my type of mall but it's cute to walk around

Fashion street but difficult to find cheap price restaurants

It is one of the most popular spots in Tokyo! There are lots of famous and luxury brands like Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton , YSL, etc. But note that it is a super crowed area at night or at Christmas season! Unless you are interested in shopping or any luxury brand and ain’t like any place with thousands of people walking around, I highly recommend not to get there at all.

the map is too confusing.. but great architecture i remember there were some famous jewel shops like Harry Winston and some popular brands like Y-3, All saints..
