This building is one of the highest TV tower in the world with 604 metres tall. There is nothing around it, not suitable for Sightseeing at the round, if you would like to get in and go up to it so you will have to pay about 200 Yuan for a person during 1 hour at dinner time, it would be fantastic and you will see the view of all the city.

A very magnificent view at the top, overseeing the the city of Guangzhou. We had buffet dinner at the rotating restaurant while overlooking the city. A good spread of variety however doesn’t match up to the price you pay. Nonetheless, an attraction worth going.

Beautiful place. One can have a view of the city from the Top. I went upto 107th floor and it was awesome feeling at such height. This tower has the height ever bubble tram and free fall at the top which costs an extra ticket. A must visit place whenever you're in Guangzhou, China.

We did not go up the tower, but it is pretty when it lights up at night (the lights change too!), and a really cool city landmark.

This was awesome and on the night not too crowded. There's a fancy Chinese restaurant on the 103rd floor and I had the chicken I didn't eat the chicken head though ;)

You can see both locals and tourists visiting this place, some with the intention of taking picturesque photos and some of them just bring their families to stroll the park. You can also find many interesting restaurants and cafes around and if you don't mind about using some bucks to spend here, then feel free to visit any of your preferred places and relax. But during peak hours like the weekends, there will be more people.

Lots of construction going on right now Aug/Sept 2019 but still very pretty. Sidewalks in some areas are non existent. Cool sculptures throughout. Some fancy restaurants as well as little shops to get snacks like bao.

There is not much to see there. It is not well maintained and the buildings are quite old and needs renovation. I was hoping the government will rebuild it to make it a tourist attraction. Now a lot of buildings even have local residents living inside. The shops there are also old and not interesting.

Aside from a great place to walk around, this sandbank island has a lengthy history. If you visit there are plaques around the island explaining the history. There are some nice hotels, landmarks, a Starbucks, and Poland's Consulate is also located there.

Good place to stroll. Other than that, nothing much to see around here. Pretty expensive for the food that are sold here. There is a nice garden along the centre of the island. Come here late afternoon for a cooler stroll.

Shamian Island has great historic significance. From the Song (960 - 1279) and the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911), it served as an important port for Guangzhou's foreign trade. Then, it became a strategic point for city defense during the second Opium Wars (1856-1860). In 1859, the territory was divided into two concessions, given to France and United Kingdom (of which 4/5 went to the British and 1/5 to the French). There are 150 buildings and each building has a label telling its former purpose. One may start to imagine what stories these building held while viewing the plaque writing about its previous function. One example is "No.7 North Shamian Avenue" which was built during the Republican period and was formerly the Administration Bureau of Broadcasting of the Nationalist Government. The mansions there form the best preserved Western Europe style building complex in China. Forty-two out of 150 buildings are counted as the most exotic ones, Gothic, Baroque, and Neoclassical, in Guangzhou.

It's a must-go if you visit Guangzhou! It's quite far from the city (around 1 hour trip by metro) but it's totally worth it! Plan a day to visit this place and another of the Chimelong Parks or the Chimelong Circus. It is huge! You should allocate at least 5 hours to see most of the attractions, and there are some shows that run on specific schedules. The Safari ride is amazing! You get to see the animals from very close range and you get crazy looking at both sides of the road! There is so much to see that words wouldn't be enough to describe it, just go see it by yourself, you won't regret it!

The drive-in part is rather short... we stopped at each area a good 10ish minutes and we're done in less than 90 minutes? So the extra US$50 to enter with a private car is not exactly a bargain, but definitely worth it... The animals don't come to your car; they tell you to stay inside your car, but almost everyone sticks their head out of the sunroof for a better view... Their guided trains (20-30 minutes) are actually window-less and cage-less... seems pleasant There are actually gaps between you and all the territorial animals (net barrier for tigers). There are nearly 30 giraffes roaming at the end and are barrier-free. My kids loved them and we spent the most time there... we parked the car and entered the zoo on foot afterwards... - white tigers jumping into a pool for food in front of you (gapped by glass) - elephant show - pandas - free roaming sloths (something about they couldn't get away) - feeding giraffes (again, my kids favorite) - birds flying over our heads - cable cars... we had a whole bunch of food inside, the beef and veggie pizza was surprisingly decent

Expect to spend the whole day if you want to experience all the attractions inside. Lots of restaurants and good signage. It's best to visit off peak when there isn't a lot of people so you can get enough time to visit the animals without feeling rushed. Walking distance from the Hanxi Changlong metro station.

What an amazing parc Easy to reach by metro line no 3. Prices are different during weekdays and weekend/holiday days. Weekend at 350RMB pp discount for elderly and children. So it might turn out to be a somewhat expensive day trip, however, worth it. What a beautiful parc. Best to start with a gondel trip to get a good impression of the parc. Directions are overall very well indicated. You will need a full day to see all. Lots of places to sit dow and relax. Also plenty of restaurants and snack/drink stalls. Food bit pricey. The parc is very well maintained, animals have plenty of space and are very well looked after. They have a special white tiger program and also a special panda program to protect these endangered species. The tiger cubs are amazing. There is an option to buy special tickets to also visit one of the other theme parks that are located next to the Safari park but that would for sure be too to do in one day. Hopefully you will Enjoy as much as we did.

It’s great place for family fun . I highly recommended this place for family fun. Chimlong is very famous group in China and they own safari park, water park and international circus . It’s ful day Activities place . After safari park must see the chimlong international circus . It was amazing experience. They used lots of animals and birds in circus . But must book in advance so u will get better seat.

This is a water park with many activities. It is a five minute walk from Hanxi Changlong Subway Station.

Nostalgia feeling when visit there. You can feel how the ancient people live their lives in old times. And most importantly, I'm Chen also.

Go as early as possible, the line can get very long even late morning. The building itself is a piece of art with four types of statue making. Inside it is stuffed with all sorts of local art, from tapestries embroidery to porcelain to complex wood and ivory carvings. You walk through time, though many of the original art was destroyed in the Cultural revolution hence many are recreations. Absolutely worth a visit.

A must visit place.. the whole site is well managed and operated. Offers a great insight into all this great southern family had achieved and worked towards.

A must visit heritage itinerary if you are at Guangzhou..especially the TANS. The building,paintings sculptures even the supporting poles worthy to snap..

The original structure was burnt down by lightning, but they've restored it to it's former glory. It has turned into a Traditional Folk Art Museum that houses all of Guangzhou's famous art pieces and living standards of old Guangzhou (Panyu) There is limted English, but it is without a doubt worth visiting. The complex isn't as crowded as some of the tourist sites in Guangzhou.

A place to visit if you have the opportunity. Recently refurbished, but the original wood carving on the wooden walls are still there. Along with the roof on the outside and in. A bit of local history with items behind glass to keep them preserved. As most places around the world, there is a shop to purchase some items and at a reasonable price, but if you like them. I am very glad to have visited the museum.

Very good place to see the art and craft from the ancient Cantonese. Being the only port that allow to trade with foreigners, Cantonese is influenced by the western elements. Cant imagine i sitting down and spend my whole mind and body to recreate such a master piece! There are a lot of craft to buy and the price is considered cheap with the time and resource that they need to put in for the work.

Located at Zhongshan road and just a 1-min walk from Chen Jia Ci metro station, the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall (Chen Clan Academy) is a temple built by the 72 clans of family/surname of "Chen" for their juniors' accommodation and preparation for the imperial examinations during the Qing dynasty. Later it was changed to be the Chen Clan's Industry College, and then middle schools. Currently it houses the Guangdong Folk Art Museum. The buildings were nice in particular the roofs with lots of colourful decors and displays, and it stood the test of time, presenting the history, arts and culture of the then China before the country became a republic. It's a nice place to learn about the early history and especially those with Chen family name as somehow you can feel the association with the forefathers.

Interesting safari zoo. Good to go can be completed in a day. 10am - 5pm on slower pace if you don't plan to catch all the so so feeding shows. Kids will love it. Do catch the cable car from South Gate. A must do. Went on weekday and avoid cny holidays

Not the biggest fan of theme parks but this one was excellent- lots of different rides for kids and big kids 😉. The park is really well maintained and staff are helpful. Some staff do speak some English which is helpful. Its best to get the Express Pass as it cuts down on alot of the waiting times. Can be purchased at the ticket booth or in the park itself.

They are decommissioning the Eastern side of park and building Condos. The Motobike ride is demolished, and Rocket Launcher looks closed for similar fate. The 10 Inversion coaster is more gimmicky than fun and knocks your head violently from side to side. Dive Coaster is superb and nicely supports one perfectly thru drops and curves. Young Star Coaster is the only Family Fun thrill ride and is always worth it. Winter weekday lines were nonexistent, so made whole day pleasant. Low 100cm minimum height was appreciated. Minimum rider height of 120cm was surprisingly high for many rides best geared to kids. Enforcement appeared stricter for foreigners vs local kids of same height. Park concession food is low quality.

Chimelong paradise is a very large theme park with many rides to entertain! Certainly a fun place to go with friends and family, and is very reasonably priced! Although before I went, I was a bit doubtful with all the accidents articles, but you sensed none of that when you were there. The park had variety of rides suitable for everyone, and many food stalls to cater to all diets. Overall the rides were very thrilling and it’s something different! The shows were also spectacular! Unfortunately English is limited so find a Mandarin speaking friend to go with!

This park has a few really great attractions and one unforgettable roller coaster but the overall theme of the park is a bit confusing and it feels like things don't flow together well. This is a fun afternoon for the family and it is reasonably priced.

If you want to experience the true meaning of excitement go there and do not come out. LoL

This is the must visited place when you visit guangzhou. You can find five rams sclupture which is the icon history of guangzhou. The view of the lake and green surrounding really refresh the eyes. But you need great energy for long walk along the park.

This is absolutely a fantastic place to walk and get away from the city. There are nicely lined walking areas, very clean. Nice to take a book there and relax, watch locals, kids running around, maybe have a snack. Sometimes you find students who like to speak English. I found people super nice and friendly. Get away from the buzz and enjoy s lazy afternoon in this park. I should think this is a nice place for lovers.

I loved visiting this park! I wish I had allotted more time to spend here, it was super difficult to get around the park, but beautiful. The 5 rams statue, temples and ponds were so nice. There was so much to do and see. It's very well manicured. I wish the country had better animal laws/programs, I got into an argument with a man over a cat (someone translated) and there was no where for me to take the cat which still bothers me. I didn't hold that against the rating however.

The mosque is very fascinating place especially on Fridays. It was named after a great sahabah of the prophet Saa'd Bn Abi Waqas. After the Jumaat Prayer there is usually congregational dhikr. On Fridays, the Road to the mosques is usually filled up with Halal food vendors in various cuisine and flavours.

As the largest park in Guangzhou, in addition to enjoying the natural landscape, you can view the Five Rams Sculpture in Yuexiu Park, which is one of the most famous sculptures and the symbol of the city. The vibrant trees, placid lakes, as well as green mountains offer a laid-back atmosphere to enjoy the leisure time. After visiting the picturesque scenes, you can visit the Guangzhou Museum and old city wall in the park. The museum needs a entrance ticket for CNY 10 per person. In addition, some entertainment projects are good options for those people who take children.

Best stadium you can get in China, with steep stand very close to action. Nice brand of football that most neutral fans would love to see.

There are two ways to buy tickets here, front counter or the automated machines at the back. Passport will be required for non-residents. The top deck is the best for photography, lower decks will get a chance to go up to the top deck, but will be forced to stay in a small area. Tickets were quite expensive for the top deck (￥148). Snacks will be available to purchase on the ship. The trip took around one hour. Overall, the views were amazing, their music choice was fantastic as well throughout the trip.

Pearl River Night Cruise is a wonder full place to spend time in the evening, Never before i have seen lighting used in the way it is on the Pearl. The elegance and the sheer number of riverside features, buildings, bridges, boats, ferries, all illuminated by the brilliant placement of lighting, made for a memorable experience to me. i recommend any one visit Guangzhou to try Pearl River Night Cruise.

Amazing show! Worth the price. This place is combining both circus and acrobatics. Light, sound effects, interactive with audience are good.

One of the best international circus . Worth the money . Performances are jaw dropping . It’s better u come early to get free front seat or else u will have to pay around 160 to 280 rmb for VIP seats . My friend suggested price of online ticket is less then spot ticket.

Not worth it - Also we’ve paid for first class seats on Klook App and they gave us regular seats. One of the staff was so rude as well he shouted on us when we were asking about the seats locations as we were confused that they gave us the regular seats. Overall, complete mess and staff are not professional.

Impressive show!! Tickets are a bit pricey (280¥ ~ 40$ for students, 350¥ ~ 50$ for adults), but the experience is quite amazing. Would most certainly recommend. One note though, do come early enough (at least 30 min before the show) to get decent seats. If you are seated at the sides, you might as well chip in more and purchase first class or vip tickets.

Tickets are on sale at the other Chimelong Parks too. Or you can use an app like Klook to get tickets the day before. It’s a circus with almost everything you can think of thrown into 1 circus. If you are familiar with Cirque De Soleil (CDS), you’ll know that each one has a theme. This circus is like all the different CDS thrown into a single show. It’s got water, air, land, animals, birds, horses, motor bikes, clowns, magic, singing, dancing etc. Essentially everything but the kitchen sink. It can seem somewhat disjointed at times but if you want full blast entertainment, then this is it. Best of all, cameras are allowed. I would recommend this to everyone.

Terrific show! In some ways similar to the Cirque du Soleil but with more action. The show starts at 7 pm and lasts almost 2 hours. The front rows may get wet during the show. I would recommend you to visit one of the Chimelong Parks during the day and finish the day with this show. It's about 1 hour metro ride from Guangzhou.

Beautiful Church in the middle of Guangzhou.

Located at Yide Road near the Haizhu Square in the city center, this beautiful over 130-year-old Roman Catholic cathedral is a holy and peaceful site in the bustling and busy urban area. From our hotel at Qiaoguang road, we walked here within 15mins of leisurely paced walk. The cathedral was nice, aka the Notre Dame of Guangzhou (similarly to that in Ho Chi Minh City) with the same architectural style. Unfortunately, on the day of our visit, the Cathedral was closed to the public for some private events and so we could not stand outside to take photos and read the intro from the information plagues. And along the section of the cathedral was small square with 2 rows of shophouses and cafes and right next was a long stretch of shophouses selling dried foods, toys and stationery which was very crowded, noisy and full of vibes but within the cathedral area, it was quiet and peaceful, what a contrast, all within 100-120m of distance!

visited the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Guangzhou recently and was really impressed by its beauty and grandeur. The cathedral is made entirely of granite, which gives it a unique and striking appearance. The interior is just as impressive, with a soaring nave and beautiful stained glass windows. The cathedral is a popular tourist destination, and it can get crowded during peak hours. However, it's still worth a visit, even if you're just taking a quick look from the outside. The cathedral is a reminder of the rich history and culture of Guangzhou, and it's a truly special place to experience.

It was a pity that I was here on Monday. The church was closed. So you should be pay attention to its opening schedule when you want to get inside and visit the amazing church. It is still served to people nowadays. It is all right and I will be back next time.

Reached 8:07am so not many visitors yet. Suggest taking breakfast before entering as just booths selling tea egg 茶叶蛋 CNY4, sausage, 豆花 and souvenirs. Just in time to watch Little Panda(Red Panda) feeding time. They are so cuteness. Ocean Habitat is NOT open. Giant Panda starts at 9:30am but is super crowded as visitors chasing Panda 星一 movements to take photos, and they keep screaming. There's an amusement park inside the zoo that needs to buy tickets for riding. Admission ticket cost CNY20

Guangzhou Metro Line 5 Zoo Station exit, tickets 20 yuan, 65 years old free. As one of the oldest parks in Guangzhou, the ticket price of the zoo is very good, and the price/performance ratio is very high. There are various kinds of animals in the zoo, among which there are very rare animals such as the northeast tiger, panda and white tiger. Recommended visit mainly because of its location in the city center, its price is cheaper than other private zoos, there are a lot of restaurants around it, different grades of consumption, suitable for a family, weekend vacation needs, remember to bring a camera.

Awesome zoo. Some of the birds are allowed to walk around which is cool. Make sure to bring water and a fan and try to stay cool, cause you're gonna sweat like a dog otherwise.

A large and well-kept zoo. We spent more than 2 hours in it. If you are already in Guangzhou, you must visit this wonderful zoo. You will see some animals here that you will not see in any other zoo. Access to it is very easy, by subway. I also like the map of the zoo, as it is well marked how to see it.

It’s ok place to kill some time while in Guangzhou. Tickets cost 20 yuans which is around 2,5 euros. You get to see 2 pandas but it is soooo crowded, hot and loud so visit is very short.

As someone who has visited many zoos and even worked in zoos, I was incredibly disappointed with my experience here. Many of the exhibits were cramped, dirty, and in need of dire updating, with paint peeling off the walls, loose electrical wires, etc. Many guests were feeding animals and banging on the glass or shouting at the animals to get their attention. If you are looking for a fun, interesting, and ethical zoo visit, look elsewhere.

It's hard to beat the value of this zoo at only 20rmb for adults, however many parts of the zoo are in need renovation. Thankfully though most of the animals appear to be treated well and are healthy. As is typical in China, expect crowds. Another nice provision for foreigners is that many signs are in English. Overall I'd say at the low cost of admission, it's worth a couple of hours to see the animals, however I wouldn't plan an overseas trip around a visit here. The Red Panda was my personal favorite (called the "Lesser Panda" in the English translated signs), go see them!

Very nice place for a day visit

Must-visit. Tickets are really expensive. But this place is amazing!!! Worths every RMB I spent. You can feed some animals, see those famous pandas and be bitten by a pony (ouch!!) Also we found a kind of circus somewhere on the territory. There are a lot of food trucks and cafes inside the zoo.

Went here before covid. Surprising the wait isn't that long when compared to other places in US that I've been. I wished I could visit there again

Quite nice to visit in the middle of the city. Small and quiet splace, not too exciting though. Only viewing of temples and greeting buddha's. The large tower is spectacular though. Worth passing by. For more amazing temple experiences I recommend going to Baiyun Mountain, full experience of natural old temples where they worship and sing and dong the drum.

Peaceful, historical, must visit

A beautiful and tranquil space that is worth a visit. Six banyan is "liurong" in Mandarin and this is the temple's name and the name of the street where you'll find it. An amazing library. Most of the books are in Chinese so be aware of that (but I guess it only makes sense). The maker space on the (8th?) floor is something you have to check out.

A very outstanding, beautiful, confortable and convenient library.

The design of the building is beautiful. They have a awesome collection of books and I used to borrow things from here quite often. It is a good place to read and study. Since it's a favorite place where lots of students turn to, it could be pretty packed sometimes. I'd like to check the books out and sit in a nearby cafe. Also the air con freezes me. Location is pretty convenient! It is interconnected to the metro and malls, no trouble to get to even on a rainy day!

Guangzhou Library is a great place. I have visited this library to borrow books many times. At weekends, it may be crowded and noisy. But from Monday to Friday, except close-up at Wednesday, this is a quiet place to read. It's efficient and convenient because almost everything can be done on machines. This also is the held place for some cultural exhibitions that related closely to the Canton history or something else. It is worthy to take a short time to enjoy. Many restaurants locate nearby.

Good place to study, air-conditioning running well. Tables are abit small but if your not fussy it's fine. Would be nice if the WiFi landing page had option to be in English, and having to request access at the counter was abit of a hassle since not many Chinese people speak English. Other then that a great public library
