One of my best lifetime experiences. One of the purest and clearest sea water from entire world. The lake has sweet water, unusually clear and warm, despite of its neighbourhood. The perspective from above is breathtaking. Worth all the effort to be there, a unique natural heritage spot.

We are so lucky travelling to Coron, Palwan and visiting Kayangan Lake this pandemic year 2022.. it is indeed an amazing journey tavelling from riding boat and trekking almost 400 steps upstream and downstream. This is out second visir to kayangan luckily tha LGU’s of Coron kept this Place so clean and beautiful.

Definitely nice view from the waypoint half the way. The lake itself is okay. Just a lake in the hills :D Most of the beaches are more interesting and have nicer colors. Only did snorkeling and it was little clouded day.

I recently had the privilege of visiting Kayangan Lake, and it's undeniably one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The pristine waters are so clear; it feels like you're swimming in a natural aquarium. Now, a word of advice - the journey to get there involves a bit of a workout with some steep stairs. It might not be suitable for those with disabilities or the elderly. However, I can assure you, the breathtaking view and serene waters make every step worth it!

We visited Kanyagan Lake with a boattour. You start at the other side of the mountain with a dock, there are lots of other tourist boats here and a few shops where you can buy snacks and even freshly cut coconuts. There’s also a toilet available. After climbing the steps up the mountain you go down towards the lake, this only takes about 7 minutes. Here, you can jump from the dock into the cleanest lake in The Philippines. The native people that inhabit Coron Island even believe it is sacred. When swimming it is mandatory to wear a life vest, if you bring your snorkelling gear you can see the impressive rock formations in the water. The tour usually stays in the more shallow area of 8-10 metres. Certainly a must-visit when in Coron!

Wonderful! Its a bit of a walk until you get to the lake but it is worth it :) beauuuutiful. Very calmung surrounding. You can see until the ground through the crystal clear water.

Great view, clear water, lots of mosquitoes, not many fish, good for a swim. Very crowded if you're in a group. I would suggest a private tour goes there early

You need to climb to get to the viewdeck and to get to the lake. The beauty of nature is magnificent, the water there is warm and lot of tourists may come and go.

Just a lake, beaches are more interesting. If you accompany elderly people. I bet most of them cannot go upstairs. But the view below was amazing and relaxing. Great for sight seeing. There are few food shops also

The stunning scenery here is well worth the climb up a set of stairs. Following the staircase will lead you to a lake, underneath which lies a majestic natural landscape. Don't forget to capture it on video; replaying it later will still evoke a sense of awe. The warm lake water is not too salty, providing a serene spot to lie back, relax, and rejuvenate before you embark on your next adventure.

Nice view! Not recommended for the elderly tho since you need to climb up and down the stairs to see this. There's a long line just to capture this view on top however you can just opt to swim immediately.

One of my favourite places in Coron. The view from the top is breathtaking. You can literally relax just by enjoying the view; however, you might have to wait in a queue to take a picture of this famous spot. And time is limited! Not the most comfortable scenario, but it is worth waiting. The lake is large and seeing the mountains in the background is super enjoyable. There are also a couple of stalls with fruits and souvenirs you can buy before leaving. Be aware if you travel with elderly people or children, there's a couple of stairs you need to go through in order to reach the lake.

It’s the first stop of our ultimate tour. We’re so lucky that at least one stop with a sunny sky. Many people were waiting for taking photos at the peak view so we went to the lake first. The color of the lake is stunning beautiful, even there’s no fish under the lake. It started raining while we waited for taking pictures at the peak during 20-30 minutes.

Before you get soaked, you’ll have to use those legs for a little climb. On top, a breathtaking view of the lake will surprise you. There’s usually a queue for tourists who want to take their photo with the lake as the background. For this reason, I highly advise going here early. This is part of the Super Ultimate Coron tour.

Very great place to chill. It’s like having my favourite hot bath. The water is really hot, it may seem uncomfortable at first time, but in a minute you begin to relax We came here at 1pm, and there was only 3 or 4 persons. Very beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. One of the best places in Coron

A must-visit spot when visiting Coron. It’s advised to take a shower first before the hot dip. After about 10 minutes of dip, it’s also encouraged to get off the water for about 2-3 minutes. From the town proper, you’d have to take a 30-minute ride. Some parts are bumpy. There are also no lamp posts to guide drivers at night. Towels are not provided. Entrance fee: P300

A very beautiful place, with a beautiful view of the islands. They have koisk (store) you can buy souvenirs, chips, and drinks. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the area. The staff are really approachable and kind. It is mostly populated from 5pm to 7pm. The atmosphere is very serene but warm.

Super relaxing after a long day of flying out of Manila. We arrived around 4pm to our Hotel and went straight in here. The road going here is muddy; some rent a tricycle to go here but we opted to join a tour. The tour has snacks and a bottle of water. The place was beautiful. The water was so hot at first but your body would adjust later on. When we went out at 7pm, there was a group entering the place so I guess they allow evening tours.

The water is really relaxing. Rented a trike for 700 to go to this place. We wanted to walk, but the road was really bumpy and muddy. It's more of a trail than the usual road. Perfect to go at around 5 pm when it is colder. There are changing rooms and showers available. Food is not allowed, but there is a store inside. The hotspring is only open til 7 pm.

Fantastic and relaxing! You should be here at 8:00 when they open. Then you will have the whole bath for yourself for at least 1.5hrs. In the morning there are some shaded areas and the air is Not so hot. Water temp was 37,9 when I measured it with my Pixel 8pro. Plan at least 2hrs for soaks and resting. They sell Beer, soft Drinks and Snacks at very low prices (Soda 30P). You can use the benches and tables for free or rent one of the open huts (small 200P, large 300P) taking a tricycle will cost you 600P - so it's worth to do it as one of the points when you rent a Scooter (Scooter price is only 600P/24hrs).

Nice place. The water in the pool are really hot and good for the feet after climbing Mt. Tapyas. The place is a bit crowded thoug even on weekdays.

Nice and relaxing on an overcast day. Would probably be too hot in the middle of a sunny day. 1 large pool and 3 smaller ones, can stand in all of them. Temperatures about 38-41 degrees C. We went about 10am on a Sunday and it was nice and quiet but apparently in the evenings and sunset it gets busy. Return tricycle about 400-500pesos, 250pesos each to enter. There's a small shop for drinks and snacks.

We went there during the early afternoon. The place is not so crowded and we basically had the whole place to ourselves. The staff were friendly nice and willing to assist and chat. The hot spring is unique as it is salty hot, the park says anywhere from 38 to 41 depending on time of day. There is a mini store there to buy refreshments. The are cottages there for groups that want to bring food and stay longer. The place can be accessed via tours, or rental vehicles. We decided to rent a car and do our own chilled city tour.

Very nice place, well maintained and in perfect condition. We went there in the morning, when no other visitors were there, we had the place to ourselves. The staff proactively gave advises, without asking, perfect. If you have plenty of time, this place is worth to stay the whole day. The road is a bit bumpy, it is not paved.

It’s OK. Nice hot water to dip into and relax. Overall, it’s a decent pass time if you feel you want to explore other things (non-boat tour related) in Coron. The drive there in a tuktuk is very bumpy. They have toilets and changing facilities on site, but no showers. There is also a small shop to buy snacks / drinks.

The journey to get there from Coron by tricycle takes about 25 minutes on a pretty rough road the last half of the way. This is a nice place to go for relaxation. It's a natural hot spring, and the water is definitely warm, bordering on hot when you first touch it. It probably feels best in the early morning or evening when it's cooler out, but we went late morning and it still felt nice. The crowds can get fairly large during peak times, so go in a non-peak time or plan ahead. There is a raised bamboo walkway that takes you out to the ocean for a pretty view of the water and islands.

You can bring your own foods,snacks. May do DIY. Or rent a tricycle worth p5oo or rent a motorbike for p5oo/6hrs.

We weren’t too keen on coming here because we thought it was super touristic but it ended up being a very fun and relaxing experience! We really enjoyed the view and the calm ambiance here - we were the only one there and it was midday! I would recommend if you stay in Coron and visit the town.

We went by tricycle to the hot spring at 17:00. Terrible road. The place quite crowded. The warm water is nice. Salt water. There is no possibility to take a shower. 5 rooms to change clothes. 2 toilets for female and 2 for men. 300 Peso entrance fee.

The grounds looked really well maintained. Cost us p500 return to get to the Hot Spring from Coron Town area. Went there during the day and there’s no crowds. Overall a good experience with nice changing rooms and toilets.

Great place to relax at night! The place is big so even if a lot of people were there it was still a really enjoyable experience. It costs 300k per adult and close at 8pm but they have a cut off at 7pm, so make sure to arrive before this time! The road to go there is really bumpy. I would recommend to drive a scooter to go there only if you are comfortable driving a scooter.

The place was so nice, love to merge my body in the water it’s so relaxing.. 300 entrance fee is way too expensive , it’s only hot spring in there no other activities… it’s good if you’ll visit the place around 3 pm to 6pm..

One of the most magical places I've ever been 😍🥰. I went at night and there was beautiful lighting which made it even more relaxing. There was a lot of people here but the atmosphere was nice and calm ☺️. The water is hot and soothing ☺️. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Coron 🙌🙏

Important: the ticket is valid all day long, so you can enter multiple times during the same day showing the ticket at the front desk. There are 4 pools, the hotter are the small ones on top and there's a small one besides the big one which is less hot. Water is supposed to be between 38 and 41 degrees. Be careful because after a while being inside the hotsprings you can feel lightheaded. Stay hydrated and alternate being in and out. And have some fresh or mist shower also. We went there with a motorbike, first around 9am, then around 12.30pm after snorkeling at "7 Pecados" islands renting a small boat and guide (300php per person for 2h) which I strongly recommend as it's also really close to. The first time was still sunny and we were like 4-5 people only. There were some areas of the big pool which were shadowy. The second time there were more people but not too much, it was cloudy and a little bit rainy. If you go by motorbike you must know that the last 10min the road is dirty and rocky but it's doable with a motorbike, just don't rush it. You will see cashew nut trees along the way, some of the with cashew nut+fruit both in the trees and on the floor. The yellow fruity part is edible, the red is sour but the water coming from it taste actually good. Open one and check the smell at least as it's a good and funny one. Enjoy!

This was our last stop on our Coron Island Tour and it was definitely worth it! The place was clean and well-maintained (I didn't change afterwards so I'm not sure how the dressing rooms were). We went closer to sunset so it didn't feel too hot, plus, there is an outdoor "shower" for you to rinse off after/cool down if needed. You could also see a small view of the ocean next to the springs. It got pretty busy towards the end of our stay, but it was still very relaxing and enjoyable!

Despite of a quite small distance to the city of Coron, the time spent here was a very pleasant one. Incredible comfortable place, the difference between water temperature it was a really unique experience for me. It is very different Hot Spring because of its special surroundings and the unique environment. I was amazed by the genuine and authentic colours of the stones became like that during a long time. Never thought about so natural and incredible natural colours and textures transformed by the chemistry of mother nature of the Philippines, here in Coron. A place to come back !

We left our hotel around 4:30pm. It took around 30 minutes by tricycle from. Transportation: It took around 30 minutes by tricycle from our hotel (Zuri Resort). Our driver was waiting for us for 1.5 hours. It cost PHP700 return. Journey: Very rough. Bumpy road halfway through the local residential area and the rest is very dusty rocky bumpy, cracky road. It was the most scary and terrifying experience. I will recommend to wear a mask during the journey. Entrance: PHP300 per person as of March 2024. If you have a bag, it will be checked by a security. Open at 8:00am, Cut off @ 7:00pm and Close @ 8:00pm. Hot springs: Quite hot but it feels very relaxing. You may find it too hot if you come during the day, however, you can cool down yourself under mist sprays. Facilities: There are changing rooms and toilets. They are very clean. Small kiosk to buy some drinks and snacks for reasonable prices (we ordered two cans of Coca Cola for PHP110.) What to bring with you: A swimming costume, a bath towel and flip flops After 5:30pm, more people turned up and it became busier. A lot people come to see the sunset, however, you actually cannot see the sunset but you can enjoy watching the colour of changing of the neighbouring islands. Highly recommend

Better than watching it on TV!!! Best viewed with sunny day. You can swim (with/without life jacket) or kayak around the 2 lagoons, because it's a bit wide, it will be less tiring if you have swim fins. If you want best pictures, there should be a guy climbing up the rocks above to take pictures (like me lol :) )

It’s probably my first time to have fun in the water in a rainy day. I was comforted that many travelers are same as us in such a bad weather. Our boat was docked a bit far away from the entrance so we had to swim or raw a kayak into the lagoon. However, it’s very difficult to get in and out the kayak without others help. Thanks for all the strangers who helped that day.

This is one of the most visited places in Coron by boat tour. You have the option to rent a kayak and paddle from one lagoon trough a small opening in the rocks to the second lagoon. With the kayak you can see more of the lagoons and even the Green Lagoon (or hidden lagoon) on the other side, otherwise swimming all these distances would be a bit too long and hard with all the shallow coral reefs. The Twin Lagoon is very beautiful with its contrast of blue water against these very high rocks. Definitely a place worth a visit!

Kayaked around but really enjoyed just floating in the water. Water has a beautiful colour and sometimes you'd hit a cool patch which was a nice way to cool off even more.

Spectacular view, its indeed a paradise. Exquisitely unique form of rocky mountains and a crystal blue water. You will definitely feel relax, amaze and mesmerise on the beauty of nature. A place which highly recommended to visit and explore. Worth to visit and stay!

Twin Lagoon is a must-see for any visitor to Coron, Philippines. It is a stunning natural wonder, with two crystal-clear lagoons separated by a narrow limestone cliff. The water is a beautiful turquoise colour, and the surrounding cliffs are lush with vegetation. There are two ways to access the lagoons: by swimming or by climbing down the cliff. Swimming is the more popular option, but it can be challenging if the tide is high. Climbing down the cliff is more difficult, but it offers stunning views of the lagoons. Once you reach the lagoons, you can swim, snorkel, or simply relax on the beach. There are also a few small caves that you can explore. Twin Lagoon is a beautiful and unique place. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Coron. Here are some tips for visiting Twin Lagoon: Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Bring a waterproof camera to capture the stunning scenery. Be prepared for the heat and humidity. Wear sunscreen and a hat. Bring a pair of water shoes to protect your feet from the sharp rocks. Be respectful of the environment and do not litter.

Best stop of the super ultimate tour in my opinion. Definitely need to rent the kayak, I recommend the regular kayak. The “glass bottom” kayaks are just clear plastic scratched up canoes, without proper kayak footholds and back to actually paddle correctly. It’s ideal here to be able to easily paddle around to see both lagoons and the little areas away from the crowds. Pretty water, nice corals. Very very little marine life, which seems to be the case at all of the stops. Water is very very warm, making it comfortable but also possibly the reason for the lack of marine life? Saw a few people tipping their kayaks going under the rock to get to the second lagoon. Attached a video of us going through quite easily, just lay back and go through the center - propelling yourself with your hands on the rocks. You can also hop out but I don’t think it’s necessary. Nice water vendors here that paddle up the your boat and sell cold water, beer and snacks, pretty cool and really convenient.

Coron, Palawan is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines. If you are a nature-lover, thrill-seeker, or just a vacation enthusiast, this place is absolutely for you. Palawan is located at the south of Metro Manila, the Philippines' National Capital Region. You can get to Coron by plane, which is about a 45-minute to 1-hour flight. The cost of airfare and hotel varies each season but you can chance some promos for cheaper flight fee or hotel payment. Of course, if you choose the summer season, it will be expensive. Then again, it is worth all the effort and expense to see Palawan's pristine waters. The sea of Palawan is very calm and crystal clear. The rock and island formations are very unique and breathtaking. It is truly a little pocket of Paradise that hopefully could be preserved for generations to come. Our group of about 15 people went here for around five days. It was worth it and a memorable time indeed! Come see Coron, Palawan with friends and family!

If you have never been here, then you just don't have a full grasp of what the Philippines has to offer. It is breathtaking and an absolute gem. It is one of the most special places I have ever been. The only problem is that photos cannot do the place justice...you have to see it in person! The scale of the rock formations and the clarity of the water is something that dreams are made of...

One of the best spots in Coron for kayaking because of its area. Snorkel near the rock formation and be fascinated by the underwater wonders. There’s also a wooden bridge you can photos of! This spot is part of the Super Iltimate Coron tour.

This is one of my favorite place to go in Coron. It is best to go during low tide to access it via a small opening to get into the fresh water lake from the ocean. A kayak can also go through the opening just lay down. The water is very clear. There were a lot of tourist at the time so careful with the kayaks bumping to you when you are just swimming.

Twin Lagoon is part of Coron Island Tour B as called by tour agencies. It's usually the first destination of this tour package. To get to the lagoon, one has to go swimming or ride a kayak. Disclaimer: non-swimmers are advised to wear their life jackets all the time. For swimmers, they need to keep or at least bring a life jacket the entire time, just in case of emergency.

It’s amazing! Even if it’s full of tourists, you’ll still find a nice little spot to chill. It’s a must-visit.

Best stop on the ultimate tour! Loved squeezing through the little gateway to the lake - super fun! Water is beautiful.

This is a unique lake in Coron. Due to different salinities the temperature of the water changes quickly depending on the depth you are swimming. This makes the lake ideal for freediving. When at the surface you get an eerie feeling when looking at the limestone formations disappearing in the depths. Fortunately, the lake is only inhabited by barracuda who are not dangerous for humans (although they are not seen very often) and small bottom feeder fish. If you do a boat tour this lake is worth a visit!

Barracuda Lake in Coron is deep, with limestone formations and crevices underwater, perfect for diving. Life vests are available to keep you afloat while enjoying the rocky scenes. It's enchanting!

It’s great when you come with your goggles or snorkel to see the rock formations under the water. Sometimes it can get crowded because many divers come to see the Barracuda fish. The water is warm and the scenery is relaxing.

In Coron, Barracuda Lake is known for its diving site, where you can find bones of fish on the shoreline. Salt and freshwater, which is the optimum temperature to dive in, are accompanied by blue lakes and scenery. A normal island-hopping excursion in Coron also includes a visit to Barracuda Lake. Before you reach the pier, you'll observe limestone cliffs towering above the ocean as you take a boat ride to the lake. It's amongst the most magical experiences you'll have on your Coron tour. Before jumping into the blue waves, take a lot of pictures and movies. Bring deeper scuba gear or go freediving to feel the lake's thermal gradient. The forms of the lake make for a lovely view. How to get there You may either join a group excursion (Coron Island Tour) or hire a private boat to Barracuda Lake from Coron Town Proper. Best time to visit Highly recommended to visit during summer months. Go early in the morning when the location is less congested. Baracuda Lake in Coron, Philippines—a surreal spot where layers of fresh and saltwater create a unique thermal stratification. The temperature changes as you dive, offering a fascinating underwater experience. Freediving and Scuba diving is one of the best experience here.

Really crowded place. You go up to shore and climb a little bit of stairs to the other side to the lake. We even waited a couple hours and came back later because the bay was completely full of boats. When we were leaving, a lot of people had to walk/swim to shore still. As you can see in one video, a throng of people couldn’t swim so they were toted around in a train to get to/from their boat. Kind of amusing, but also since they can’t swim… On the other side at barracuda lake, the area to get in the water is very tiny, and they crowded the platform to the point you couldn’t walk on the platform from the stairs to get to the area to jump in. Barracuda lake itself: cool to see the limestone cliffs go down into the water for sure, but just realize there is no marine life or corals or anything. We dove down 14-15meters or so and couldn’t feel the temperature change on the day we were there, so if this is important to you, maybe plan a scuba dive or plan to bring your proper free dive mask as the squeeze gets to be a bit much on the eyes any deeper than 15m with the rental masks provided (in my opinion).

Freediving paradise. Me and my family have a superb experience. The cold and hot water will amaze you.

Such a gem in Coron. Clean, blue-green, and captivating. The tall rock formation will greet you above, and the inviting waters will get you excited for a dip! The funny thing is that I haven’t seen a barracuda during my visit 😅 This is part of the Super Ultimate Coron tour.

It’s the second stop of our ultimate tour. The rock around the path and the lake are so incredible. I can’t do free diving so I’m really impressed someone who can do it. However, I’ve tried to take a picture with opened eyes under the water.

Looking down felt so terrifying! But I took the courage to dive in coz it's my first time to use fins and it felt amazing!

One of a kind -Best views and crystal clear water! Highly recommended. One of the best spot in Coron Palawan. The lake is few minutes hike from the boat and challenging paths like small wooden steps above big sharp rocks. It is not very safe for people have mobility and balance issue. If you are going island hoping bring cash with you because theres some snack stands in the island that sells everything from all kinds of beverages, alcohol, hot bananaque and fresh coconut drinks.

Totally worth the 720 steps to the top. Great views plus that “accomplished” feeling. I feel like the internet portrays this as some grand hike, but it probably only took 20 or so minutes (maybe not even that).

This is the most popular place to visit in Coron to watch the sunset. You start at the bottom of the Mt. Tapyas Stairs and climb 721 steps up the mountain which takes around 10-20 minutes. You can walk on slippers. It is recommended to bring a bottle of water. At the top you are treated to beautiful views of Coron and the surrounding islands. The sunset is wonderful to watch but after the sun goes down the really beautiful colours show up in the sky. The way down has lights so it is doable and only takes about 10 minutes.

Had a good quick hike here. Not so much. They claim that it has 721 or so steps over all. Has a lot of stops for a quick rest on benches. A stair based trail with a high peak view. I guess good time is around mornings and afternoons. Just make sure to bring extra clothes. Scenery picture provided.

Finally, we surmounted over 700 steps to the infamous but beautiful elevated landform of Coron - 𝐌𝐭. 𝐓𝐚𝐩𝐲𝐚𝐬, despite the gloomy and windy dusk, lack of exercise, and threat of slippery stairs. It's a blessing somehow, that we climbed without the heat of the sun and a crowd. We stayed past nightfall and enjoyed the evening view of Coron Bay and the lit-up little town.

The view was worth the >700 steps going up. There are also markers along the way to see how far you had climb

Place is romantic…but challenging to reach as expected. There are around 720 steps going to the peak. We went here after a tour (showered first) at around 6pm and the sun was already setting so we didn’t reach the peak during golden hour. The view was breathtaking still. It is a popular spot for joggers and even at 7pm there were still some tourists going up. The path is a bit dark but there is a CORON illumination at the top. We got engaged here. It was really memorable.

721 steps with plenty of benches to sit on along the way. Come a little earlier than the beginning of sunset as otherwise all the seats will be taken.

Ready for a short hike? 722 steps to reach the top of Mt. Tapyas "The Chipped " mountain. They say it was chipped due to bombing during WWII. Enjoy the 360 view of Coron Town Proper, Coron Island, and neighbouring islands as well. Make sure to bring enough water with you.

amazing park and 360 view. all the 720 steps were worth it, with benches along the way for resting. the view is better behind the cross so make sure to go around and capture the slopes with the sunset. i would go back here for the sunrise!

After climbing 720 stairs, the view and the wind are awesome. They mark the numbers by every hundred, it’s a good way to encourage people. It’s a pity that we’re not coming in the evening or a sunny day, we took lots of photos though.

The best view over Coron town. This is quite a climb to the top, however, I believe it's quite doable. It's about 720 steps until the top. There are stairs in good condition, which makes everything very bearable. On the top, you can enjoy a fantastic view over the town. On the front side you have the view over the town and on the back side over the green mountains. And the best thing is that this experience is fully free. Don't forget to bring a bottle of water or to buy before you start. I haven't seen anyone selling water or snacks on the top.

I was told that there is a place in town that we can hike, and I thought it would be through a trail. And voila it’s paved, which makes it easier to climb despite the unpredictable weather changes. I saw this hike offered in the Coron Town Tour, along with other sites for P700, so I thought it was paid admission, but turns out it’s free. A friend and I started the hike in the afternoon to avoid the harsh sunlight but it was still humid. I remember a sorbetero selling ice cream by the stairs for some reason. 😅 On the first few steps, we saw a senior citizen quit and told us that he can’t do it. We cheered him on, but back to the starting point he went. So if you have mobility issues, this might not be the best activity for you. We went up the hill and saw some Jehovah’s Witnesses at the benches. We took a break when we saw the view, then continued on to the top. There were many tourists up top despite it being a Tuesday, but it wasn’t so packed that you can’t take a proper solo picture. We saw the nimbus clouds fast approaching from the island across, and so we all stayed under this small shed and waited until the rain wasn’t heavy anymore. We soaked in the beautiful view under the Coron letters and started our descent by nightfall. I started feeling chilly up in there and we remember feeling the abrupt change in the temperature when we were halfway through the staircases. This is a good free workout if you’re looking for activities that aren’t in the sea.

The sunset painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, casting a mesmerizing glow over Coron. It was a scene that made the entire journey feel like a triumph. Enduring the hike, despite the fleeting thoughts of retreat, allowed me to witness nature's grandeur at its finest. Mt. Tapyas, with its challenging steps, became a metaphor for perseverance, and the view from the top transformed the trek into an unforgettable experience. If you're up for a bit of a climb, the sunset from Mt. Tapyas is an absolute must-see – a reward that makes every step an adventure worth taking.

We went there with the Island Escapade Tour, it was the most crowded spot but still okay compared to other places in El Nido or Coron. The beach and the water are absolutely incredible, we even saw 2 turtles close to the beach. There is a little shop for buying smoothies.

The island is more than an hour by boat from the main island of Coron. The island has fine beaches , white sand and super clear water. When we went there we snorkel and saw a lot of fishes swimming around you. A beautiful island to visit.

The beach here is nice and spacious, so while it does get quite busy, there’s always plenty of real estate for everyone.

Ride a boat for like an hour from coron Port. It was super wavy, but it was a great experience. we arrived safe, thanks to our boat captain and the staff💙 this place was nice to relax from the wavy sea 🌊 😀 it was worth it. 😀

Completed two penetration dives on nitox here. Entry point at 38m. Many areas have unsecured wiring drifting about, rust and silt in abundance... As in this is a legit wreck for advanced to expert divers with solid bouancy control, strong spatial awareness, and a lack of claustrophobia. Watch your fins and don't mess it up for the next dive team, please.

My children loved it! Their first ship wreck free dive experience! Also called the Skeleton Island, part of the “Super Ultimate Tour,” this is one of the awesome stops! Skeleton refers to the skeleton of a cargo Japanese ship from WW II, not human skeleton 😄. Aside from the wreck, there are also plenty of fishes and when you offer them food, oh boy do they come! You can be swimming in the water with them and they are not shy. There’s also a “floating store” here. As in a man in his fishing boat with a cooler of drinks and a bunch of chips.

I did an amazing dive to and into the Irako shipwreck with Corto Divers. The current was moderate and the visibility ok. The wreck is absolutely fantastic and I enjoyed the dive so much. Due to the depth and partially small passages this is a dive for more experienced divers.

This is a real hidden gem! If you drive to the Siete Pecados Tourist Office you can book a tour for PHP 300 per person. This includes a captain/tour guide who will take you on a small boat (which only holds 2 persons) to the reef for 2 hours, life vests are included and snorkelling gear can be rented for an extra fee. There is no need for reservations, you can just show up and there is usually no waiting time. The trip to the reef takes about 5 minutes. Then the reef, it must be one of the most beautiful reefs you will ever see! It’s very rich in corals and there are many fish to see, if you have keen eyes you might even spot the clownfish. It is only about 1.5/2m deep so you can see everything in the crevices between the corals. Truly an unforgettable experience and a must see in Coron!

One of the best place to do snorkeling in Coron! No need to book for an expensive tour. Just go to the village in front of the Siete Pecados (on the road leading to the hot spring). It will cost you 400 Pesos to rent a kayak for the day. 100 PHP for goggles. And 100 PHP per person for the islands fees, collected directly on the islands by a boat.

In Nov 2023 we booked a tricycle for 600 php at our housing (MyGuide’s Traveller Inn). Driver picked us up at 8, left and then came at 15 to the village. In the village at the “port” there is a little house where u pay 100 php pax environmental fee and 200 php pax for a boat+driver/kayak for 2 hours. We stayed 4 hours with a boat which was amazing and just enough and paid 50/hour additional for the boat. There is a little street food window. Overall it was 650 pax for the whole trip. Gregory and his son were our boat drivers. Reefs are the most colorful we have seen but they are dying as well. Maybe 20% was alive. We have seen turtle and lots of Nemos:)

A must do if you're in Coron city ! You can go there with a tricycle or by your own means (we had a scooter). You can rent a boat with the captain for 300 pesos per people. Then he will take you snorkeling around the small island and it s really beautiful. We even saw a turtle there. Don't miss it !

Very well maintained!! There are a lot of fishes and corals even near the shore. Their efforts of preserving the area is commendable, the park rangers picked trash along the way while we were snorkling and they are very kind and accomodating too. There were tall grasses near the shore and I asked the boatmen if there are seahorses in there they said that way back there are a lot but they rarely see one now because there are a lot of people taking them out of the water to sell, they say they don't have the heart to stop them though because they said it's their only means of income.

This site is part of many island hopping tours and you will probably visit it while taking one of the tours. There is not a lot of places to visit and see in Coron other than the island hopping tours and very little land tours options. People will always suggest climbing up Mount Tapyas or a visit to Maquinit hot springs. some people will even suggest a visit to Cabo or Bali beach. I found out that you can take a private boat from the maquinit village that situated just infront of the Siete Pecados islands to the islands for around 1200 php and visit this site privately with no time limit and snorkel around the islands and swim between all of them (most tricycle drivers knows how to contact a boat owner that can take you). The site itself is an amazing snorkeling site the rich coral diversity and Marin life here is unusual and unique and visiting it with no rush was really a good experience for me. Very recommended!!

The place is amazing 😍 The reef is so healthy and pure we really enjoyed from the snorkeling ! There is not a lot of tourists there and the coral are very healthy. Not like the island hopping to coron that you can see that the boats and the tourists damage the reef Be careful when you swim there and keep the reef safe ! We had just completed the A, B & C snorkelling tours in El Nido (with OutPost Hostel), so we didn’t want to do another snorkelling day. This location is perfect and affordable. Ask a tricycle driver to take you from town to Siete Pecados. It should cost $600-700 for a round trip. They will take you to the little town by the water where you can ask for either a kayak or boat for 2 hours. We chose a small boat, our driver and a tour guide came with us and took us to 3 snorkel sites in Siete Pecados. The boat ride out is 10 mins each way. The coral gardens here are incredible! So healthy and colourful, especially on a sunny day, as the reef is quite shallow. The tour cost us $600. If you are in a park this is a very affordable excursion. One of the highlights of Coron and easy to without reserving earlier.

one of the best places for snorkeling in clear waters at off coron. The corals are very colorful, so is the fish. The corals are relatively less damaged and bright and the crowd is comparatively low. Clear water and white sands and colorful corals give a feel as if you are in aquarium alongwith the fish.

This place is incredible for snorkeling!! Only 300 php for 2h on either a boat or a kayak. Very nice corals and lots of different species of fish and others marine life! Definitly one of my highlights of all Busuanga Island and a must do!

It is definitely the best place to enjoy snorkeling in Coron. There are few people and incredibly beautiful under sea views. I recommend especially to do by your own arrangement. You can use your own time more efficiently. I also recommend visiting Maqunit Hot Spring to get together here.

Renting a Kayak to go to these islands and diving with snorkel in they coral garden was the best thing that we did in our three days stay in Coron. My suggestion, go to the the shore near the islands around 2pm, rent a Kayak or a boat (it costs 300P per person), dive to see the corals, return around 4:30 pm and then go the Mount Tapyas to see the landscape of Coron and the sunset. Thank me later...

Backpacker on a budget here - Only 300 pp and one of the best snorkelling ever. Totally worth it! From Coron P.T. take a motorcycle or trike down (east) towards Siete Pecados and turn right onto another little dirt road that goes down into a little town/settlement. Take a slight right and head for the basketball court. We parked our motorcycle and went to the tourist info center. There you pay 200 pp for either a kayak or a boat and 100 pp for the environmental fee. Our friends rented snorkels for 100. They gave us a discount for 4 people which was very nice. Honestly I would recommend getting the boat, since it comes with a captain/guide who takes you to a cave/”lagoon” and 4 really cool snorkelling spots. One of them is a colourful big clam garden! Other than that our highlights were a turtle, barracuda, bat fish and lots of light blue hard coral. Super colourful and healthy. (Maybe ask to see barracuda point, since I only found out about it later and we didn’t go there.) Have fun 😍

Great little trip. 2 hours in a private boat, going to different snorkel spots. The office is on Coron mainland and it’s a 3 min boat ride to your first stop. You don’t really travel far, as the little islands offer beautiful clear waters with some very shallow parts. Careful not to tread on the corals. Getting in and out of the boat can be tough. Bring water and a sun hat in case you’re like me and watch your husband doing most of the swimming 😂 For 300p each it’s super affordable.

Best snorkeling spot on Coron. A must visit! The corals are beautiful and there are a lot of fish, also bigger ones. Some of the boat guides told us that there would usually be large waves but that was not true. The water was very calm and quite shallow. I guess since it’s a bit further away from the other spots of Coron Island they didn’t want to spend the extra fuel.

Make this your first stop on the island hopping tour to truly enjoy the beauty without the crowds. We have snorkeled in Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean Sea, and Malaga, but this place has, by far, the most beautiful coral reefs concentrated in one area. Be sure to bring your water shoes and exercise caution in some areas which could be shallow. Plan to spend at least an hour exploring!

Decent snorkelling here. On a calm day I’m sure it’s better. Was quite wavy and windy when we went, and with the reef so exposed, it made it tough to enjoy. Good amount of bleaching, as it typical with such warm water and intense sun

Part of the Coron “Super Ultimate Tour,” and during the weekdays, it’s almost as if we had the place to ourselves. Only 2 boats carrying approximately 20 to 23 people each, there was plenty of space to snorkel. Our boat had a life preserver and non-swimmers can hold on to that with their life jackets and snorkeling masks on and you will see an amazing view under water. Plenty of corals and fishes that just take your breath away! There is no beach or deck to dock on so it was from the boat to the water, and from the water to the boat here.

A worthwhile coral garden to visit with plenty of patches of healthy and colourful corals. Calm waters and sunny skies made for a perfect morning.

Tip: rent a private boat and come here during lunch time where no one will disturb you. We got to snorkel all by ourselves and we got to see a variety of sea life - tiny fishes, big fishes, all sorts of coral.

We had our lunch here during our Tour A. According to our tour guides, this beach is exclusive for JY Travel. It was really hot when we got here because it’s noon. It was low tide so we had to walk to the beach.

According to the guide, the name Banana Island is because the island is shaped like a banana leaf and not because it has banana trees. What it actually has are coconut trees! The island has white sand and crystal clear waters with benches and picnic tables to eat from. There is also a small store here - their version of a 7-11 😄 The area is kept clean, there are also trees here and Bermuda grass. Look out for ants though close to the tables. Very peaceful, quiet and idyllic, I love it here!

We came here in the late afternoon and had the island on our own, there was basically no one there besides us! Really beautiful beach & cristal clear water. Some huge beautiful shells!

We went here while our boat (Herbert’s Private Land & Boat Tours) went back to drop one of our group members back at the dock to catch his flight. It was a bit busy when we first got there with 2 other tour boats being there/ they didn’t stay for long and then we had the place to ourselves to take stunning photos and eat lunch and have some coconuts on the beach (50 pesos)

One of the clean and nice beaches in coron

You can walk from the Two Seasons Resort. The entrance fee is 200 pesos, but they don't ask for it, but if you ask for it, you will get it. The atmosphere of similar islands in many countries is similar, but it is different and better when you visit again. I hope it is not developed. Aqua shoes are essential. It is a resort of healing and killing.

Nice Island with a awesome view. Transparent water. But no Corals. There are one resort too on this island though out guide from the boat suggested not to enter inside that resort as it is soo expensive and require pre bookings. I just mentioned if one is intrested in the resort stay at island.

There's something so magical and calming about the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the feeling of warm sand between your toes.

Listen to your guides when visiting this island. There are a lot of stone fish on the other side of the island. The island is good for swimming and snorkeling. There is also a short hike providing a good view.

Visit during low tide so you can see the sand bar. The island itself if beautiful and perfect for picturel taking. Theres a viewing deck up the hill to capture the scenery. We did some swimming here and enjoy the sandbàr.

Nice beach spot (duh!). The nice thing about this beach is that there are some nice additions for taking photos like strategically placed benches and swings. The snorkeling was also enjoyable as well, though nothing to write home about.

Island has a sandbar, but you’d need to be there when its a day with low tide. The Island itself even without the sandbar is still beautiful! One of the best islands in Coron! 💙✨

This island is so beautiful with white sandy beaches, a beautiful sandbar, crystal clear water . Really a paradise island by itself. This is almost 2 hour by boat from the main island of Coron. My family rented a tour boat and its nice because you have your own schedule . When we went there there's pretty much not a lot of people. We snorkeled and the water was so clear and a lot of fish and corals. Our tour guide even prepared our lunch for us with fresh seafood and vegetables typical Filipino dish. This was our last stop in our Super Ultimate Coron tour. It’s plainly a beach, with some mangrove trees on one side, and plenty of other tourists basking under the sun or swimming in the shallow shores. It may not be as striking as other spots in Coron (especially the lagoon), but still brings happiness to those who visit it.☺️

Nice beach and snorkeling, well worth spending a whole day with a private boat from Coron, which is only 15 minutes away. I recently had the pleasure of visiting CYC Beach, and I must say, it was an absolute paradise. From the moment I set foot on the soft, powdery sand to the time I reluctantly left, I was captivated by the beauty and tranquility of this stunning destination.

One of the beautiful beach that I've ever seen here in the Philippines, Crystal clear water and clean,white sand beach,plus the mangroves,if you are a selfie lover this place is awesome for selfie lol . thumbs up for this place and highly recommended.

I loved our 30minutes in this small island. This was the last stop in our island hopping group tour. The sand is not as fine as other beaches but the water is so clear and pristine. There's a lot of small fishes glistening in the water. The waves were very calm so it's a good place for swimming. I would love to come back and stay longer next time. Probably will book a private boat tour instead.

We had a stop over in this tiny island surrounded with white sand and clear water. Most of us stayed near the boat. Perfect for swimming.

The area where we had our lunch on our Tour A package. It was a small beach but beautiful. That day’s weather isn’t sunny but rainy so we were attacked by mosquitoes. For those instances, bring mosquito repellent lotions.

An absolutely beautiful beach 🏝️

Very nice beach on a little island. Easy enough to kayak around it. We stayed overnight there in tents. Watched the sun set in the water from our kayaks.

My boyfriend and I got a small private boat and visited a few places around here. Atwayan beach was beautiful. White sand, crystal clear waters and small bamboo huts to sit and relax and eat in. We bought food in the Coron town Market that morning and cooked it on our boat but you can buy a few snacks on the beach as well as fresh coconuts. The water is lovely to swim in with small fish but we just chilled on the beach, eating and talking. We saw a cute puppy (I named him Frank) I'm not sure if he was a stray or not because he did have mange and ticks but i fed him some of our left over fish anyway! I would say go to this beach as it is very picturesque but i imagine it does get busy with tourist crowds as its only a small area.

Good place to stop and lunch..

Nice place to dine in the middle of the tour. most lunch are being set up here by boat cruisers. relaxing breeze, fine sands and most of all, a live coral sanctuary where you can swim while waiting for the food to be serve. Great people especially the owner of the place, Capt. Aguilar. so friendly, and kind. Dont forget to ask for his home-made coffee. it was so good! Highly recommended!

Perfect place to relax, very unique. Our family really enjoy our time here at atwayan beach. Planning to comeback here next holiday

It’s the third stop of our ultimate tour. We’re super lucky that the storm came while we sat under the shed. Therefore, we had time to go to the toilet at the top of hill, and we can get back to the boat without getting wet as well.

Secluded cove, clear waters, fine sandy beach. Numerous cottages line up the shore. Sadly the comfort rooms are in poor condition, needs improvement there.

Absolutely incredible location! If you go there I HIGHLY recommend renting some kayaks to explore the surroundings. Q!

Our ' Ultimate ' island hopping tour included Atwayan beach which was a clean beach with heaps of native style shelter sheds for the tourists to enjoy their meals in. There is a small store where you can buy snacks and cold drinks including very cold beers. Well worth visiting this island beach. All of the tourist came on organised tours. The meal prepared by our boatmen included several small tuna which were cooked on the boat during the morning and served hot on Atwayan beach along with cold chicken and pork dishes and hot vegetables and some cucumber and local seaweed ( Lato ) salad which tastes great with vinegar.

Atwayan beach isn’t the place for diving but a place for some much-needed leisure time. Cozy picnic huts can be seen everywhere and they’re a great spot where tourists can take their lunch break while taking in the pristine sights around the location. The beach’s gentle, clean waters are great for anyone who wants to relax in the water, or for those who want to snorkel for a bit to see Atwayan’s stunning marine life. - Zeo Trip
