I wish photography was allowed, but I fully respect why it is not. This was a powerful trip. The tour guide we had was amazing. While many parts were not captioned, the staff worked with me to provide access to my deaf peers. The counter is an amazing experience, as is the entire tour. Go when you can. I am sad to see how few white folks were there to absorb and learn. We must learn from our past and that includes learning from our painful truths.

You can’t visit Greensboro with visiting this pivotal place where American history occurred during the Jim Crow Era. The four young men who spearheaded the Greensboro Sit-In deserve to be remembered for their trailblazing efforts and I’m happy that this museum does just that. You either have the option of touring the museum by yourself or with a tour guide for an extra fee. I highly recommend opting for the tour guide, because you learn much more about the sit-ins and American history involving the discrimination and intentional displacement/mistreatment of African Americans in the U.S. Our tour guide was Darren and he was phenomenal! Very passionate and did not spare details. It’s so important that history as such is shared, especially since we find that much of the history mentioned in the museum still occurs today. I recommend visiting the gift shop on your way out :) so many options and the proceeds support the museum.

Solid local museum about the beginning of the modern Civil Rights Movement in 1960s America. The exhibits are well done and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. They have the antediluvian policy of discouraging photos. Still, the museum is definitely worth a visit if you are interested in the American Civil Rights Movement.

Wow. Such a powerful place with an incredibly important story to tell. Jeanne was our tour guide and she was fantastic! The subject matter is difficult, especially the hall of shame, but it’s a story that needs to be told. I’m so glad I went and visited this historic place.

What a wonderful engaging experience! To learn about American history through the African-American experience. I would highly recommend a trip to learn about the rich history of the civil rights movement in our backyard (NC). Recommend getting a guided tour of the museum. Our guide Darren was beyond words PHENOMENAL!!! He brought all of the rich history alive and synthesized it in such a way that conveyed the African-American spirit of resilience, the realities of our history, and the hope for change for all of humanity. It was a therapeutic experience and I am so thankful for this museum and Mr. Darren!

The Greensboro Lunch Counter at FW Woolworth is history so it's a must. Pay extra for the guided tour. Well worth it. Surprisingly our guide was a lovely white lady and gave us an excellent tour. She was passionate. The exhibits are well done. No photos permitted

Awesome experience! This museum is a must for all to see. It's very educational and our tour guide Dillon was awesome! I would encourage anyone visiting the Greensboro area to make this museum part of their plans. I highly recommend it for kids 12 and up too. It's a good positive way to start the conversation about race relations in our country for those that don't really know or understand.

Museum was awesome! Guided tour was approx 2 hrs. Only allowed to take pics of outside, lobby and gift shop. So much history. Recommend!

An interesting museum worth the trip mainly to see the preserved Woolworth counter that started off the associated wave of civil rights protests. Many of the most interesting items inside are along this theme, such as an actual example of a 'separate but equal' drinking fountain. A few odd points: despite the name, I don't recall anything "international" inside. A mask mandate is still being enforced, which seems bizarre in April of '23 when the building is nearly empty. Also, photography (even with the flash off) is forbidden. The reason for this is unclear. Perhaps to discourage people from jumping over the partitions, sitting on the historic seats, and pretending to sit in? Still, it's off-putting, since seeing the counter is a huge part of the draw of showing up at all.

Visited on 7.19.23 with zero expectations, but we were all mesmerized by our tour guide, Angela. She is a wealth of information and we agreed someone that we could listen to for hours on end. The tour pacing is perfect. The displays are powerful!! The price is reasonable, $15 for student and $20 for adult. The gift shop is cute and quaint. There was no line or wait to buy tickets and every single lady we met was delightfully friendly. We enjoyed our initial tour so much that we visited 4 days later, so we could bring new friends with us to experience it with us. I'm sure all tour guides are awesome, but when we return (and we will!), we'll call ahead to make sure Angela is working, because she is a phenomenal story teller as she shares the history packed in that museum.

We have been to many civil rights museums including in D.C. and Montgomery, AL and found this museum to be a real find. It was very informative at the personal level. Our docent, Jeanne Dulin, was exceptional. I would highly recommend the guided tour for the full experience.

A very moving and informative museum experience, more about life than simply history...well worth a visit (or several -- there's a lot to absorb!). Our guided tour (with Darren) was excellent.

I was in town for an event for my doctoral program and my cohort went on the guided tour with Darren. SO WORTH IT! This was not your usual museum tour or tour guide. He had passion, conveyed pain, infused humor, and inspired a hopeful future! His auditory style and story telling abilities really draws you in. Though I think the artifacts and other aspects are nice if I had gone on my own tour, it was Darren who made the experience spectacular. Highly recommend.

For Black History Month, the Delta Zeta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. visited the International Civil Rights Center & Museum with our youth auxiliary group, The Sigma Beta Club. For a few young men, this was their first trip from the Durham area. I appreciate the amount of information and stories that Robin Easter provided on our tour. Although I’m an Aggie alum, it is always an amazing experience to visit the museum and see the new exhibits and artifacts that the museum has collected. Also, they have some amazing books in the museum store. Again, special thank you to Robin Easter and all of the museum staff. I also appreciate you taking a selfie with me!!!!

This museum is truly a hidden gem of Greensboro! It is obvious that the passionate and knowledgeable staff truly care about the continued expansion of civil rights in the United States and abroad. Thank you Angela for a fantastic and fact-filled afternoon!

My friend and I visited the museum on a Friday, and it was nice. We had a wonderful tour guide, Darren, and when I come back, I hope I get him again. My family is from Greensboro, and my dad told me he used to sit at the counter (which they preserved for guests to walk through) and order a banana split after the A&T 4 made history. Things like this seem like a long time ago, but it wasn't. It was nice to walk through a piece of history like that in NC. The painful history is preserved so that we can learn from it...

Angela was wonderful. Very informative and interesting. The museum was definitely impactful and a good reminder of how far we've come but how much further we still need to go. We can't forget about the past or dumb it down. The museum lays it out in a way that's not chronological but in subjects. The guided tour is the way to go as it covers a lot and the guide is able to give you the idea of everything. Give yourself time to come back to certain areas of the museum that you might want to find out more about.

The International Civil Rights Center & Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in the Civil Rights Movement. It is located at the site of the historic Greensboro sit-ins, and it tells the story of the movement through interactive exhibits, films, and artifacts. The museum is well-organized and informative, and it does a great job of explaining the complex history of the Civil Rights Movement in a way that is both engaging and educational. I was particularly impressed by the exhibit on the Greensboro sit-ins, which included a recreation of the lunch counter where the sit-ins took place. Mrs. Washington our tour guide was passionate, thorough and kept our group together and used her platform to bridge the gaps in togetherness right in the tour. I was appreciative of her companionate wise words during such an emotionally wrenching time for reflection. The museum also has a number of interactive exhibits that allow visitors to learn about the Civil Rights Movement in a more hands-on way. For example, there is an exhibit where visitors can sit at a lunch counter and experience what it was like to be a black person in the South during the Civil Rights Movement. There is also an exhibit where visitors can learn about the different forms of nonviolent protest that were used during the movement. They just purchased the building adjacent to them. So more expansion is in the future. Be sure to donate extra for the build out and the staff so we can keep this history out in the open. Overall, I highly recommend the International Civil Rights Center & Museum to anyone interested in learning more about the Civil Rights Movement. Tour guide was amazing. If you are a person of color, don’t be surprised when you see white people. They do come, but mostly to clear up how they history was taught to them too. Rooms are tight but it’s intentional.

Had a wonderful time visiting the center. It would have been better on a cooler day or maybe earlier in the morning. The kids did not enjoy the zoo part in the heat and the animals were smart staying inside. Was impressed with the amount of butterflies they had. Lots of play areas for kids to enjoy. The aquarium section had a good variety of fish and other animals to see. The dinosaur area was okay but wasn't a highlight. Pretty basic. Bonus we got to see the baby red panda they had in the hospital building. It was so adorable.

Great place, friendly staff. I'm sure I'll get hate for this, but wish they had hours or even a dedicated day for adults only. Otherwise, go early to avoid the kids if that's not your thing. Cool setup for all animals, the aquarium section was really cool too. Staff was all VERY pleasant!

Came here for the first time, because we had a reciprocal zoo membership we got half off our admission which was nice. The aquarium is small but was nice, had some interesting animals, penguins were pretty active and there was a touch tank. The zoo itself was small compared to other zoos, not a large amount of animals but a decent amount, some were napping or indoors so we weren’t able to see them well. Large play area for kids, pretty cool and fun for parents too I think. Science center was interesting had some good exhibits, lots of interactive stuff.

This place is awesome. Literally found this place just looking for something to do while in Greensboro. I'm so glad we did. The educational factor of this place is off the charts. Such a fun learning experience. The zoo section was one of the most fun parts of the whole place. If you ever go out, you should wander over to the red pandas and the lemars they are great.

Took my young kids here and they had a lot of fun. So much to do, we easily spent 7 hours here so make sure you leave yourself enough time to explore. There's a great playground and plenty of restrooms. The Cafe had great food and coffee

A coworker recommended this place to me and I was not disappointed! I was surprised to see so much for less than $20. I saw animals that I never even heard of. There is so much to learn and explore here! The only thing I wish that could have been better was the viewing angles of certain animals. I would've liked to see more of the tiger. However, several animals managed to keep my attention throughout the day. I especially enjoyed the peacock, red pandas, and gibbons monkey. This place is highly recommended for nature, science and animal enthusiasts.

Went with my nephew for a field trip. They have a lot exhibits & cool things for kids to do. If you like animals is essentially a mix between an aquarium & a zoo with other fun activities mixed in. They also have a playground area, zip lines, & a solitarium. We didn't get to experience everything because of the weather, but we still had a good time!

Our family loves our trips here. The exhibits are fantastic, and the facilities are super. There is something here for everyone in the family to enjoy. We like that there are some more unique animals and that there are lots of interactive elements to play with or on. A visit during the winter lights is also a must-do.

This place is a local gem. I took the family over spring break. They have classes, information sessions and you are able to interact with several animals. They even allow you to touch animals including the sting ray. We have been before however there have been many upgrades. The outside renovations are beautiful and so much fun. There are more animals and they even have an animal hospital where you can learn so much about taking Care of the animals and medical procedures they perform. The staff was polite and helpful. This is perfect day trip.

What an awesome experience!! I will highly recommended to purchase a membership and expect to make a day of it! Why?! There is so much to see and to do! A learning adventure packed with so much fun & excitement! Although, many of the outdoor animals were hiding due to the heat, we were still able to see many different animals from all over the world without even leaving Greensboro. If you plan on going for the day, pack a lunch and some cool drinks. The cafe there smelled scrumptious and the prices were ridiculously high but an adventure like the Science Center a packed picnic lunch just makes it even more special! One of the best Science Centers around and well worth the adventure

Great place for a quick visit and a pleasant experience. The zoo is very organized and clean. The aquarium has well maintained tanks and plenty of wildlife. Lots of parking spaces are available. Super friendly staff

Loved it. I chaperoned for my daughter's school, and it was pretty easy to find everything with the map they give you at the front desk (I had to ask for it). All the exhibits were very well kept and all the animals were beautiful. Plenty of places for the kids to play, and/or sit down and rest. The gift shop was very nice too.

We love visiting the Greensboro science center. This was our second time going. It was a bit crowded because of school groups but we've been before in the summer and it wasn't as bad. Lots to see and do. Great shows and events. Good food at the cafe. We will definitely be back again.

We had such a great visit! They've added many new things over the years. My kids had a great time, the weather room, the dinosaurs, and the aquarium. The outdoor zoo was closed because of ice and snow, but they did discount our admission. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful science museum. I love the expansions to the outdoor animal habitats. Absolutely beautiful and easy to navigate. The renovated dinosaur exhibit is also really nice. The theater has a good variety of shows, but be sure to get in line early. The aquarium is a favorite spot; the penguins are so fun to watch. The behind the scenes tour of the aquarium is an extra cost, but it's worth it if you're interested in sea life. Really good tour.

I Love going there. It's best to go early in the morning or on a cool day. The animals don't like heat, and I don't blame them. I don't like it either. We always have A Great Time.

We have been coming here for the last ten years. It has changed over time and they have added so much. We always enjoy bringing our kids. Our oldest is 11 and our youngest is 9 months old. We thoroughly enjoyed Greensboro Scoence Center.

Great family place! My little family and friends spent hours here. They have a small aquarium, butterfly sanction, dinosaur exhibit, zoo, and so many other things here! We went early to beat the crowd, but by afternoon, it got crowded fast! There were lots of different play stations and areas that the kids were never bored. We sadly didn't get to see the baby hippo, but we did see the baby red panda.

This was an amazing experience! The African penguin exhibit was by far my favorite part. As a bird enthusiast seeing different birds was really cool. They even had a merchandise store and I got an African penguin plush. They have festive events like winter wonder lights which we will have to see later this year. All in all very fun experience and will be coming back again.

We had a great time here on a school field trip with a group of 3rd graders. I don't think we had any "I'm bored" moments. From the aquarium to the outdoor animals, we got to see a lot of stuff. The kids really enjoyed the giant playground.

One of the best experiences my family and I had. Many things for kids of all ages to do and they even have Christmas lights at night. Many different kinds of animals and some dinosaurs exhibits. Beautiful aquarium as well

Absolutely must-visit place in Triad. This place is very interactive and family friendly. Lots of various animals and many spaces where family can take rest and enjoy picnics. The museum itself is well maintained and has lots of aspects that visitors can think about their lives and environment. We spent about 2 hours to explore the place but it seems that we need more time to fully be emerged in the exploration.

My childhood! This place is perfect and I could see myself making monthly visits to see all the animals. A gem for Greensboro— take your children, they will absolutely love it but also the perfect spot for an interactive date. The center is clean and neat.

My family recently visited the Greensboro Science Museum for the first time, and overall, it was a memorable experience. We particularly enjoyed exploring the diverse range of animals and learning fascinating new things. However, we were slightly disappointed by the size of the museum itself, finding it smaller than expected. Nevertheless, the zoo section was a standout highlight, offering an immersive and enjoyable experience. The aquarium was also a hit, especially the opportunity to interact with stingrays, which was simultaneously fun and slightly gross. Additionally, the option of trying out the ropes course, albeit at an extra cost, seemed enticing. The presence of a cafe offering snacks and lunch, as well as picnic tables, provided convenient options for dining. While unsure about outside food policies, checking the museum's website for details would likely clarify this. Overall, despite some minor drawbacks, the Greensboro Science Museum offered a fulfilling day out for the whole family.

Absolutely loved our visit here... There is so much to do and see you could easily spend the day here... Even their cafe is affordable... Had so much fun with the penguins and the petting pool... There is also an outdoor zoo as well... Super fun for all ages

The staff were friendly and professional. The gentleman working the aquarium was very knowledgeable and experienced with the fish. This place is a great place for families or couples. There were exhibits for all ages to enjoy. The zoo area and animals were well taken care of and clean. We will definitely be back and strongly recommend!

One of the best Science centers I've been to in a long time. There is so much to see from the animals to the science center itself. A lot of hands on learning and interesting facts that aren't commonly known. Highly recommend if you are staying in Greensboro. With kids or even just adults.

We visited the park on Friday and Park Ranger Daniel Engelbau gave us an amazing tour. It elevated a battlefield tour to a history experience not just about the battlefield, but the experience of the people who lived during these times. Daniel talked about what stories get told and what else happened outside of the traditional stories. A great visit!

This was a great park to go through. Lots of amazing history. Also the day I went through, the weather was nice. If you want to spend a few hours walking around, definitely go here to check this place out.

You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy it here. There is a 30 minute movie that was very interesting and easy for kids to understand. The museum was smaller than expected but we still enjoyed it. Unfortunately there are no benches in the museum or lobby while waiting to get into the theater, so it could be hard on someone who needs to sit often. There are walking and driving trails to see the monuments. A great place to get exercise and learn at the same time.

Very important place to American history. Interesting to see all of the different eras of preservation that the park or battlefield has gone through. The videos were well done and very informative. The staff was so happy, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The visitors center is a little older but still clean and kept up. If your going to do the walking trails I would say leave an entire day.

The museum inside the Visitor's Center is top notch! There are hundreds of Revolutionary artifacts that are beautifully displayed. There is also a short film with an animated map that provides details of Cornwallis and Greene. I highly recommend the Junior Ranger program for anyone with kids, as it included a kid-friendly activity book and swearing in to receive the badge. If you choose to walk the trails, bring bug spray! While the trails are clear, it's easy to imagine the guerrilla warfare through wooded forests.

Nice historic place, expected better though. The half an hour movie was nice.

Tony Vanoy & I went for a 1.5 hr hike at Guilford Co Courthouse National Military Park in Greensboro NC on Saturday. It was a beautiful day so we went for a lovely walk to look at the monuments and flowers. We saw some wildlife and many dogs on leashes!! The park was free to enjoy! There was plenty of parking spots and restrooms. Inside the Visitors Center is a museum, some hands on display items to touch, a gift shop and 2 separate films to enjoy. A 10 min one and a 30 minute one to enjoy for free as well... Highly recommend visiting the park if you are in the area!!

Beautiful historical place for family and kids to walk around and learn some historical information.

Loved walking the trails, but more trail signage would be nice and the map you get at the Visitors Center isn’t very detailed. But, it was nice walking on the mostly paved trails and the benches are great if you have someone with mobility issues who needs a break. It is dog friendly, they just have to be on a leash. Our two dogs loved it and we saw lots of other visitors with dogs, everyone was respectful and had control of their dogs. We will be returning to enjoy some of the trails we didn’t get to today. Highly recommend a visit if you are a history fan, lots of monuments and facts about the pivotal battle that happened here during the Revolutionary War.

I don't know if both of these places are connected, but these pictures are from the Greensboro science center/ zoo. The kids and I and my mom had a great time! Had a lot of nice animals to see as well as activities to do. It was a beautiful day and a lot of families were out. We will definitely be going back

Wife and I have visited this park a couple times since arriving at Greensboro. Once for a simple walk, which this is a very nice park for. The second to attend the annual re-enactment. Something that has been a sort of bucket-list item since childhood. You know. One those things you read about and wanted to do throughout childhood. Well, 50 years later I was able to check it off. The re-enactment is quite an appreciable effort with a large field surrounded by woods to depict the battle and n excellent narration the history and events that unfolded to become a major turning point in the revolutionary War. Well worth the time and effort.

We had a wonderful time here at the park! My wife’s 5th great grandfather was Captain James Tate (monument #3) he had perished outside of the park, but they interred him at his monument. He died in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse in the Revolutionary War! We walked the tour of monuments and were very impressed. The stories told and the National Park App that had audio for the tour was wonderful.

A decent sized park with not much of rides but with waiting times in lines, you can do everything they have. Before I go ahead with things we did and all, it could have been very much better in terms of managing people or lines. Guest services were outside and nothing inside park. We were to buy all day dining pass and while you have to wait for certain restaurants to open to buy them inside, if you wish to buy at gues services, you have to go out and stand in line again to come inside. Certain places you won’t understand where to take tubes and which way to go for rides. For certain rides, staff at bottom of rides doesn’t know on rules at all. While rules on board says glasses with headstrap allowed, lady at entrance says not allowed even with headstrap while guard at top of ride says its allowed. We took single any day admission ticket online at perks for $33 which is best price. Reached at 10:30 AM on sunday while park opens at 11:00 AM. There was a mile long line already by then, line started moving at 10:45 AM itself ofcourse rides started at 11:00 AM exactly. Parking priced at $20 for regular (if you come early, you will get a newrby parking), $25 for vip. Took a locker for $25 ( if you can manage with little stuff to change clothes and all in small cover, you can get a smaller locker at $18) which was good to store a backpack. Lockers are available at multiple locations. We were able to take 3 rides quickly as crowd just started building up. Took all day dining pass for $37 at one of restaurant’s at 12:00 PM and utilized it throughout. If you’re someone who wants to eat and try everything on a sunny day with pizza, icecream, burgers and all, I would recommend this. There is h20 pass which is express lane for certain tides that starts at $35 but if you can wait in lines, you can skip this. All rides were decent with ‘The edge’, ‘bombs away’, ‘daredevil’ were high thrill rides. Definitely worth a visit.

All the people that work here are very nice and helpful, haven't seen any issues other than trouble finding a chair to sit in....it's a great deal to cool down , Ive gone a few times as if it were just a swimming pool but have also tried a few of the slides. Going on the weekend is something I will probably avoid because it gets super crowded. The food could be better but the prices are reasonable for a theme park ...have not paid $10 for a beer though, they let you bring water or a water container in and have music playing alot but I haven't figured out where the DJ is. All in all it's better than not swimming.

We had a great time visiting. The weather was nice and sunny that day so we were lucky. The staff was very helpful and the water rides were just what the doctor ordered. If I had to find something petty to complain about, it would be the wave pool. The wave only comes like every 30 second's or so. It's cool, but I've been to other water parks where when the waves start, they come back to back to back making the waves incredible. Don't get me wrong it was fun, but something I noticed. As you were.

We bought season passes for the remainder of this year and all of next year and my daughter has an absolute blast. One thing I do think needs to be worked on is having more staff scheduled AS SOON as the park opens. The last three times we’ve went several parts of the park were shut down into later in the day because they didn’t have enough staff for it (or at least this is what I was told) We purposely get there right when they open so that it’s not as busy but when things don’t open until later in the day it defeats the purpose because the lines get super long super fast. Overall we absolutely love it here too and love all of the things they have for the smaller children. Not too many places in our area offer that.

We took a spur of the moment trip came up Saturday went to park all day Sunday and it was amazing .. get their early bc they fill up very quickly. I would say a little expensive especially if your an adult like me who watches the kids and don't get in .

Park and rides are pretty good. My kids had lots of fun. My only disappointment is buying useless fast passes. Fast lanes are not common there, no one helps you with getting in front of the regular line. Every time I ended up listening to people screaming aggressively that I am cutting the line. If I pay extra, I don’t want to explain people why I am going in front of their line. Also, the smart watch they give you for fast lanes are not user friendly and sometimes didn’t work properly so that even workers couldn’t figure it out.

Great fun for the kids...better to come on a weekday than the weekend because too many people and you may not find a good shaded spot. They have HUGE umbrellas for shaded seating and it's better to get a season pass if you live within 2 hrs of the place and if you go 2 times you will make up your money and then some. The food is ok and not terrible at all, but just don't expect gourmet. ENJOY!!!!

I am nostalgic when it comes to Emerald Pointe. However, it’s not as cool as it was when I was younger. Still a cool place to cool off on a not so cool day. Just not as cool as it used to be.

Very nice and serene. Also has some off the wooden boardwalk/paved walking trails through the woods. Most are easy but there is one that is steep but worth it.

Great little walking path. Walk along the creek as you wind through the woods. Over a few bridges, pass a pond, and up to a small waterfall. Cool stone steps lead you up the hills. Very fun walk. Took about 30 minutes to complete with taking side trails.

This is a very nice park to enjoy in W. S. I went on a weekday morning and there weren't many others there then, which is nice for me. I would go back. My only hesitation to give 5 stars is that it would be nice if it were larger. Strictly a personal preference and I'm sure that many others will be perfectly fine with it. Great little park next to Friendly Shopping Center. Lots of ducks, Mergansers, Herons, and Cormorants. Wooden boardwalk in most of the park.

The Bog Garden is a fantastic Greensboro park. I grew up coming here with my grandmother and we would always feed the ducks! Avoid feeding the geese though because they can get slightly aggressive. The Bog Garden has ample trail space and benches to sit on if you feel like taking a rest and just want to take in the scenery. Would highly recommend the trail that goes up by the waterfall. It's very shaded and it really is beautiful scenery.

Always a favorite! Lovely selection of plants, flowers, and tons of wildlife, such as chipmunks, squirrels, birds, geese, ducks, and herons. Please clean up trash if you see!

First time here and me and my nieces loved it. There were a good amount of people there from the community. We were feeding the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. Lots of water fowl and we might of even seen a beaver. It's an easy walk, the boardwalk is a circle and there are paths that branch off.

What a wonderful spot to be in nature. It’s quiet and it’s shady! You feel transported while walking on the boardwalk through the gardens. By the end there is a small waterfall. Perfect walk for children as it’s not too far. A must see!

It is good walkways for morning or afternoon walk. It is covered with trees, plants, and a small waterfall look like small spring named serenity falls. There is a circle with some stones for sitting that is called bog garden teaching circle.

Well managed, courteous staff, slightly overpriced goodies stand, never got the chance to check the bathroom, outside cleanliness was average and decorations are so full of historic things and items. Security is good but not overwhelming, seating was allotted but people were not in the places assigned and that created some chaos, organizers can make a point to strictly adhere to rules of follow seating arrangements and directions. Post Covid era almost, keep up doing the good job and making history and memories, kudos!!

Older building that can use some renovations. Parking wasn’t so bad if you get there soon as the gates open, if not you could be in for a long walk. The bathrooms near my seating area was a bit run down. First stall I went in didn’t have a lock so I tried another just for it to literally not have a tissue holder, so had to try another one. No paper town dispenser just like two dryers and when it’s crowded definitely need more options. And it was a bit cramped trying to get in and out. Seats were comfy though so that’s a plus.

Stunning show by Elton John and the Coliseum did a fantastic job as host. Easy to park, no bad seats, wonderful sound and simple exit. Thank you for hosting the night of my life.

This was a good family outing. Parking was great and cost effective, ticket prices were reasonable but the snack choices were not good. Seating was comfortable but no cup holders for the drinks that they removed to top; We did not like that due to COVID and this is a public atmosphere.

Such a fun place like always! Good for kids shows adult shows and more. Clean on the inside, shiny floors. Fresh food, the seats are comfortable. Best place for concerts and shows like always. Good hosts and guards. I had a concert here and they did absolutely amazing! 👍

I absolutely loved it. Went to see Jelly Roll in concert and had an amazing time. The seats and sections were easy to locate and staff was very helpful if you needed any help. Will definitely attend another concert at this location. I also recommend it to anyone wanting to see an amazing concert.

This venue was wonderful, I had a seat view was great. Next time I'm going floor for sure. Staff were great very helpful. Bathrooms were clean even after the show! Moving platforms for the artist wonderful sound and light show.

Visited here to see Billy Strings in concert. It a nice venue. That had good food and drinks. Seats were comfortable. Clean nice bathrooms. Would definitely visit again.

Been here three times now, once for a Miranda Lambert concert (floor seats in section C towards the back), once for a Jim Gaffigan show (floor seats in section A row 9), and once for the Jurassic Park live show (section 109 row AA). All three were great experiences. Great seats at each except the concert, we did not realize you wouldn’t be able to see from the floor if you’re towards the back. Place could be a little cleaner, though, and the parking lot can be terrible. Not all food vendors are open for all events; that sucks depending on how many are open. Overall a good place to see shows!

Being a Greensboro resident, I'm proud of the Greensboro Coliseum as the biggest indoor facility in the United States with a seating capacity of 23,500. The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, commonly referred to as Greensboro Coliseum (the first and biggest building on the site), is an entertainment and sports complex located in Greensboro, North Carolina which opened in 1959. We went there as a family for the Monster Jam truck show and the kids loved it. Parking was very organized and there was plenty available. We did pay $10 for parking and during mega events and shows.....there are always business close to the Coliseum which offer cheaper parking. Also, this location can be accessed within minutes from major highways. The complex holds eight venues that includes an amphitheater, arena, aquatic center, banquet hall, convention center, museum, theatre, and an indoor pavilion. Pro Tip: To get back to your original spot for parking, make sure you walk around on the second level and then exit. The second level is interconnected and you can walk around the entire complex. We did a huge mistake of getting down to the first level. Now we could not walk around since it was sectioned off and had different entry exit points. So to get to the parking, we had to exit the building and walk to the street sidewalks which was a terrible idea. On hindsight, we should have never exited the building and got back up on the second floor and walked around. But.....oh well!!!

Here for the Ninja World competition. Big venue. Huge amount of people with lots of kids. Big facility and could use a few more bathrooms but good sound systems plenty of parking. Easy to get to. Nice there are so many exits. Good lighting for the kiddos

Had a great time for the NF show. The venue is cool. A decent selection of vendors for food and drinks. Getting in was a little slow but the staff did a good job. The sound quality was pretty good. Some of the lights were right at the level to go in your eyes directly which wasn’t great. I enjoyed it overall

Just saw the Eagles here which was all time Best concert ever. Concentrating on the venue the parking was awesome being it was one level outside. Getting here was easy straight off the highway. The upper level is really steep- standard stadium seating. The steps are a bit short, so we saw some people struggling. They could’ve done the better job of turning the lights on, so people could find their seats and navigate the steps at the end. The temperature was perfect. There was plenty of restrooms, and even though the place was sold out, the people traffic wasn’t too crazy.

Beautiful acoustics, powerful worship concert. Staff helpful, purchased VIP parking tickets and it was definitely worth it!

First here for a rave concert, lots of parking and event was awesome. Not the best but it served well.

Went here to see Kevin Gates && it was The Best concert EVER! We had floor seats so we had a great view. Whole place was packed but it wasn't overly packed (u didn't have people all over you or anything!!) 5 stars can't say enough good things about it!!! We had a freaking blast!!!

A decent, but very dated venue. Easy to access and getting through the parking gates was quick. Paid $25 for concert parking (cash or credit accepted.) Parked anywhere we wanted, then walked. Lots of walking, but they get you into the venue quickly. Plenty of good signage to get you to your seats. Getting out was quick as well, after a long walk to the car.

Great venue, for us this past weekend was the NC state wrestling tournament. Lots of people onsite to maintain the areas and keep things clean. Staff all were generally friendly. Extra parking costs were a bummer.

The complex is nice and mostly clean, but a few things were disappointing for a complex of this size: 1. Handicap accessibility - while the way into the main building is one huge ramp, it was rather difficult for my 82 yo father to push his walker up the long, steep hill each day. If we had a wheelchair, it would have been worse for whomever was pushing the chair. Also, once inside the coliseum, there was a lot of space to store the walker and keep out of the way of traffic. It may meet the bare legal definition of accessible but it is far from accessible. 2. While at the HS wrestling tournament, there was a car show happening at the same time. Convenient for those wanting to check out both shows. But during the wrestling finals is apparently when the car show was ending so the coliseum was polluted with exhaust funes during at least half of the championship tournament. It may be more, but I'm writing this from about halfway through. Again - the ventilation may be code legal but polluting a vast number of people in attendance for the tournament can't be safe. Adding a picture to show how full the tournament was at the time of writing this review.

I had an amazing time seeing NF at the concert. The staff could've been a little better at letting us know what entrance to go in at but overall was a pretty well organized event and ran fairly well overall.

Great place to take your kids to be creative and use their imagination! They have so much to do from creative learning to dress up,they even have a outside obstacle rope . The only complaint I have is that the parents or adults have to pay for admission too! $10 per person can turn out quite expensive especially a family of 5! I don’t think adults should have to pay to enter because it’s a Children’s place made for kids! If they change that more families could possibly enjoy it more. Respectfully the prices are high but your child does have a lot to do. Also I’m not sure of their cleaning policy but I would love to find out. I do know they strictly enforce mask wearing at all times. They have “mask police” = workers to make sure your mask is up at all times! Kids love this place ! Price is reasonable , sometimes parking is full and you have to park across the street. Once inside it’s beautiful how they have several areas setup for kids , they also have a big jungle gym outside . They have the grocery store , doctor , theater, and also a water area . They have added new things but I’m sure it’s wonderful . Highly recommend.

The climbing outside is second to none. It feels like you get a lot for your money. There are interactive exhibits, and it's all very interesting for young kids who are like younger than 10 or 12. Many of the exhibits are vocation-based. So, it comes across a little as a jobs training program to get these kids into the work force. However, they threw in a few exhibits that are more just for fun. I'm glad they did.

Great experience! They even have an area for babies which is awesome. The climbing structures out front are what makes me wish I was a kid so I could play on them though.

This place is amazing!! We stopped here on our way from Raleigh to Charlotte for our kids and they LOVED it. It’s half price on Friday nights and not busy at all. It’s super clean and well maintained. Our kids loved everything and there are vending machines and a snack area for parents that take credit cards. Definitely will be back.

Went with my 16 month old first thing on a Saturday morning. The price was super reasonable. I loved the specific area for 2 and under. We enjoyed also the different themed areas. We will be back!

This is such a great place for both adults and children. Put them phone away (unless you're taking photos) and go have fun with your kiddos.

Really amazing children’s museum. Charlotte may have a lot but can’t compete with this science museum. My kids loved the water center and different vehicles. Definitely will bring them back.

It took awhile for us to finally check this place out between Covid lockdowns, remodels, and life in general. Glad to say we've been able to check it off the list! Pricing was comparable to the NIDO & MARIANA QUBEIN in High Point minus the carousel, though it offered real life vehicles like semi trucks and an airplane to hop in and tour. This was especially exciting for the kids who don't often get to have this sort of close up interaction with airplanes other than flights that are few and far between. Not to mention the escape slide is an adorable touch for kids to play with. A toddler section offered a safe and wide range of toys and obstacles to climb on with shoe covers required. These are provided for free. I appreciate the priority to cleanliness especially because the section rules state it's only for 2 and under. Those kiddos are close and personal with the floor! Other notable areas include the water exploration station, immersive projection room, and career stations. The giant geometrical jungle gym outside is impressive as well. All in all this is a staple to the community and I would definitely recommend. For us, NIDO & MARIANA QUBEIN is closer and has more to offer in my opinion. At least as far as play areas go, the size of each, the amount of interactive spaces for broader age ranges, yet maintaining accessibility for all interests and stages of life.

I am beyond happy with this place and it's staff!!! Myself and my 4 kids found ourselves in the area today and I had planned to take them to the park but they saw the amazing jungle gym outside and wanted to go to this museum. Funds are low for us right now so I was hoping they were a member of the discount program for families. Unfortunately they weren't and we turned to leave as I couldn't afford the normal rate. A man followed us outside and very kindly asked us to come back in and enjoy the museum on him today. I was honestly very shocked and not sure how to respond but my kids were thrilled! We thanked Mr. Joe and had an absolutely amazing day playing! Thank you Joe for such kindness!

I came here with my sons (8 and 9) on Tuesday afternoon around 1pm. This was a nice activity while they were on Christmas break. They have their own parking lot but it was initially full. Just before I was went into the parking deck, a space opened up! My boys were very excited! It was $10 a person. The different areas inside include construction zone, nonies house, theater area, toddler area, post office, water works, the growing exhibit, emergency vehicles and other modes of transportation, garden areas, doctors and dentist office, etc. I can say I was truly amazed at the innovation with the water works. It definitely promotes creativity and exhibits very cool phenomenons! My kids loved that exhibit along with the outside area. We were present for about 3.5-4 hours. One of the vending machine didn’t work. It didn’t accept my cash or my card. Unfortunately, it was the drink machine. Fortunately, another machine had limited options for drinks. I would definitely return again.

The concept is there and great. The way they talk to and react to people is unacceptable. There is an employee there who aggressively approached my 2 girls that are 9 year and told them that they needed to be with their parents at all times. We were in the same section of the museum as them along with our 3 boys that are 9 years old. Were my kids destroying anything? NO. Were my kids fighting or bullying? NO. My kids had bottles of water (allowed per museum website) that were still factory sealed because they hadn't drank any. The employee named Andy felt she could take their water and then come and berate my husband and I. The kids are 9! They don't need me to carry their water. I asked at the front desk even and was told I didn't need to carry my purse. They're 9 so I no longer need a diaper bag for 5 kids. No apologies were given by that employee. Instead management and the CEO/President Joe said, "That is how you received the message" and "You received the message wrong." No, I have video showing how this employee acted. I have video of employees agreeing my kids were behaving, didn't break any policies, and that she needed to be trained. She should not be working around children or the public. She also should be trained in how to approach and apologize. This was our first and last visit and I am sharing this because I don't trust Andy around children. She is detrimental to their emotional well-being. I posted a picture of her as a warning and of my kids playing when she came after them.

Was a really fun place for my four year old! I wouldn’t really recommend it for kids that are older than 9 as my son got bored quickly. Overall the family had a great experience!

Tony Vanoy & I went to the Greensboro History Museum to learn about the Greensboro area. The museum was free to enjoy with free parking. It's located inside a historical old church building. There are three levels of historical artifacts to enjoy. Everything was very fascinating. Definitely glad that we went to the museum.

Free to visit! Definitely going to go back since an hour was not enough time to see everything. I learned so much about "Greensburough", and I truly appreciate all those who have put this museum together for us to enjoy!

Extremely well curated. I was shocked to the see the level of thought, creativeness and polish that went into its flow and presentation. It's also bigger than I was expecting it to be. I didn't know it was a Smithsonian branch until after we arrived. My boys and I spent 2+ hours there. Enjoyable and educational experience.

Early this year, I drove by myself with my AI companion all the way to Greensboro from my former home town of Lexington, NC to visit this renowned North Carolina historical museum. I was not disappointed. The admission is free to the main building and this museum is quite large and there is an exhausting amount of things to see and watch. It is hard to believe that an entire central museum exhibit like this is free to the public, but that is so fantastic. By the time I had left, I learned some more about state history than I knew before and it was quite interesting and fun to see relics of the past I probably will never see with my own eyes again. I saw so many interesting pieces of history I had never seen with my own eyes before. And pictures with a digital camera were allowed by the staff, which it is always nice to have memories of this place and look at these relics of the past again. Some museums do not allow photos, this one does thankfully. Also I want to say the museum looks fine both inside and outside, so it is a pleasant building and environment to be in. I don't think too many people would be disappointed in coming here and taking a tour. Anyone, who is able to visit here should come at least once. I would actually come again here myself but I live too far away to drive back easily since moving to South Carolina later during the year after I visited this museum. I was not able to go through everything thoroughly as I wanted to due to the limited daily hours. I am giving this museum 4 stars instead of 5 stars due to what felt like were limited hours and the fact that some of the surrounding exhibits around the museum were off-limits completely and if I recall correctly, there was an admission fee for those extra areas. I want to point out that when I arrived there was no waiting line or queue and there was no rudeness from any of the museum employees or people inside, which is always nice. Lastly, this location and surrounding area felt safe as well at least during my visit in the early afternoon hours to evening hours. I recommend this museum to basically anyone at all who is able to come here. And I hope this history museum always stays open as it is a great service to the public to provide a museum like this, especially with no price of admission to the main museum.

My wife informed me for only today this museum added stuffed animal mice to the exhibit for kids to engage and count. Lastly, report to the lady at the front desk for a candy cane reward. Overall this museum is fantastic.

Had a day off from work and decided to go to the history museum and get out of the heat. I really enjoyed my time, and I was surprised how large the museum is! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to learn about the history of the city and people in history connected to it.

What a gem! Such a cool place to learn some local history. The place is well kept and contains some really amazing artifacts. I had my kids with me so I didn’t get to take my time to go through it. Thoroughly enjoyed my time spent here and I can’t wait to come back to see the things I missed

I was pleasantly surprised that there was no admission fee. The facility was very clean and organized. The displays were varied and met my interest. The interactive room was fun! I like the notifications of different events that were coming up. I went to a book signing a few nights later.

The hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 2 pm to 5 pm. Closed on Mondays, for anybody who wants to know. The Admission is free, they have guided tours of the cemetery and that is the only way you can see the cemetery, they do accept donations and they have really changed the displays up. Now they have them pretty much by years and decades, We had a really good time visiting and would definitely recommend people stop and and see Greensboro's history.

I really enjoyed this museum. It very thoroughly and honestly reviews the history of the state and city. Some of the exhibits are hard to read and review, given the history of our country, but, in my opinion, it's important to know history's reality so we don't repeat it and can see the progress made. Much appreciation to the people that make places like this possible and preserve the artifacts and buildings. Very educational.

Great place to spend a couple hours. Top floor is fun for kids. Start at the top and work your way down. Make sure you request a cemetery tour!

Very nicely appointed FREE museum. The layout is slightly confusing, but the displays are very nice. Shows a wonderful progression of the history of the area. Highly recommended.

Beautiful park. Great place to get away from it all and take a walk

One of my favorite places to walk around on a nice day. A variety of trails,flowers,some art and trees...much to look at. A great place to bring a book.

Beautiful well maintained park. Lots of places to sit and visit, with some off to the side with plantings around for privacy. Even in the dead of winter there are plants in bloom here! Park is paved and wheelchair accessible. My son loved to run around. There is an abundance of birds and we seen a rabbit as well. It is gorgeous here in the summer. If you plan to take pictures for profit you must register.

I walk in this park (and the accompanying Bog Gardens) frequently. The parks are meticulously taken care of and have paved and natural trails, and lots of green space. The flowers are beautiful and are changed out with the seasons. This is also a wonderful place to take pictures before prom or a special event. The park is also very dog friendly with waste stations and special water stations for the dogs. There are also nice flush toilet bathrooms.

i had no idea this beautiful botanical garden was in the area. such a peaceful place to take a walk & later in the evening hasn’t been packed. various flowers & trees to explore.

First time at this park, I did not have much time since I was just driving by and spot it. After I left the park I keep thinking about how beautiful this park was, I feel that it was only missing the fairies. Definitely will be back to visit with more time.

This is beautiful. There are two places set in nature right across the street from each other. And then they are connected to another trail system. Super cool.

Such a beautiful garden that is particularly gorgeous in the blooming seasons! I always appreciate how well maintained it is. There are bird baths, rose bushes, statues, a water mill, a mailbox to leave notes in, and much more! It is a short walk across the street to the Bog Garden, so I highly recommend seeing that too!

I absolutely enjoyed this garden! I went with my 84 y/o father, and we navigated it quite easily. Lovely statues, not to mention the beautiful tree and floral varieties.

Beautiful gardens! I visit once or twice a year usually with my eldest daughter just to get a new photo of this magnificent red camellia. This year I was also drawn to the Japanese maple trees and the koi pond at the Mill. It was a lovely afternoon walk.

This place is breathtakingly gorgeous! I was visiting with my daughter and she wanted me to see this place and I'm so glad I did. There's so many different kinds of beautiful flowers growing everywhere. We ran into a young lady having her prom photos taken here and Ican imagine they turned out beautifully. This is definitely on a of the most beautiful parks I've ever visited. I'll definitely visit again. Be sure you get some photos in front of the old water wheel. Plus it's pet friendly and there's waste bag stations all over.

This is a nice park. It’s great for taking personal pictures, learning a little more about history, or just taking a relaxing walk in nature. And you don’t even need to drive out of town. Also, due to the size and the trees, you feel like you’re out in nature rather than in the middle of the city. Like many places in Greensboro, they have some cool historic elements, like the replica water wheel. They also have a bit of plaques with historic tidbits scattered around. They close around sunset, and the parking lot closes a little before then. Also, they have signs stating that you need to pay if you plan to take pictures for profit. Overall, one of my favorite parks in Greensboro.

Beautifully kept botanical garden. Gorgeous walkways throughout the park. Many trails and paths. Lots of people are taking family photos here. Plenty of parking, and right across from "Bog Garden".

This is a beautiful and quiet place to visit. They have pic nic tables, grassy areas to sit on blankets or for play, an old mill, a nice cement walkway, an area with two porch swings and a bench with a music stand. A friend of mine enjoys practicing songs there. The scenery is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. We sometimes see wild life (other than birds, lol). This is a dog friendly park. The entire park is a Wonderful back drop for pictures, just need to ask permission if for commercial reasons I believe.

If you want to take a walk or run in a peaceful place this is it! You can stroll the park and enjoy all the beautiful flowers and trees or pick a bench and read and relax. The park has many places for taking great pictures. You can take a blanket and lay on the green grass and have a romantic picnic in the park.

Beautiful to walk through. My dogs loved it. We went in the spring and alot of flowers and trees were in bloom. Very relaxing.

Everyone will tell you how beautiful the plantings are, how well-kept and tended. What they might not mention is the Arboretum changes each week of the year, just a little but that means you can visit this park every week of the year and see something new each time.

Wow! 🥰Just wow! I was not expecting the Beauty of these gardens. The huge triple wind chimes in the middle of the park were just breathtaking. I could have spent hours here and wished I had brought a picnic lunch. The sights, sounds, and aroma of the flowers were just incredible. The birds and butterflies were magical. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Greensboro or wanting to connect with nature. Don’t forget to pack a picnic 🧺

The Greensboro Arboretum is a great place to take a walk and see a variety of flowering trees, flowers, bushes, etc! It is very well maintained and adorable for pictures as well. One main downside: there is constant road noise from Wendover. Still worth visiting, of course, but definitely has an urban/nature crossover vibe.

So much to see! Wonderful paths, interactive gardens, and so many varieties of flowers and trees, you can't count them all! Pets, picnics, and pollinators? Yes! Walk, run, and relax in this lovely garden/park.

Gem!! Free…Just what I was looking for! A large enough open area with gardenlike touches everywhere. The parking is right across and free. Many benches and trails to walk on. Pet friendly with leash. It will become a place we go to more often! :) The fall color is fading too fast, hurry and go!!

This place is actually pretty amazing. There are plenty of trails you can walk, most of which is shaded. (Very helpful during the summer months) There were also a lot of picnic benches to relax, read a book, enjoy the scenery. Opportunities for solitude if you're looking to escape and don't want to leave the city. Lots of different plants, trees, exhibits to explore. Dog friendly. There is a park by the entrance with a jungle gym for kids and a basketball court.

Bigger park than expected, great for family time and picnics, lots of flowers and different trees. My favorite here so far. Downside is the highway right next to it. They tried to hide it with trees but they don't block the noise

The gardens are beautiful. Took a friend who was using a walker and did just fine. It is truly a special place I'd recommend to anyone. Saw, in addition to great foliage, prom dates being photographed, wedding couple being photographed, young couple carving pumpkins (his 3rd and her 1st ever), many races and ethnicities, ages, it was sort of a magical day. 💙

This place was gorgeous, and had wonderful walking paths. Absolutely amazing in the fall time, but you would see more flowers in the spring for sure.

maybe i’m not cultured enough. but i was merely impressed by the magnitude of beauty here at this arboretum. didn’t realize they existed or greensboro had one. the various trees & flowers are magnificent. enough space to walk & decompress without feeling the crowds.

A beautiful free natural space. I'm so happy that I decided to stroll amongst these beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers. Thank you to the staff for keeping it wonderful. If I lived in Greensboro I would go every day to meditate and to get a walk in. There are bee hives and a little stream that runs along the park. It's wonderful go check it out!

First time here. So peaceful & serene. Nice trails, large enough for bikes & walkers. Fishing, Kayaking & more.

I spent under two hours at this park, but it definitely made an impression! We parked by the lake and walked over the bridge. The romantic touch of putting locks on the gate (and presumably throwing the key in the lake), while un-environmental, adds character and mystique to the experience. I wanted a park with plenty of shade, and I wasn’t disappointed. When we walked through the woods on the dirt path, there weren’t many bugs (but there were two deer). The stated closing time was 8 p.m., but we stayed until 8:20. I spoke with someone who said that the park gates are closed at 8:30. I’m docking this a star because I feel that it’s reasonable to expect the park to stay open until 9 or 9:30 (especially on weekends). Hopefully someday the city can find someone who would be willing to stay an hour later (as well as a few extra dollars to pay them).

I was impressed by how large & clean it was. There was plenty of space for us to gather with a large group of friends and feel as if we were some of the only people there. There is something to do for everyone.. they have a lovely nature center, a playground, a driving range, bike rentals, a bike & walking path around the lake and a short trail through the woods. I will definitely return to this park when I am Greensboro.

I've just started looking for nice trails and parks to walk...Greensboro has some sweet hidden gem parks; and Bur-Mil Park, along the Atlantic Yadkin Greenway is one of them! I came for a nice place to chill, and was impressed by the numerous features of this area. Large, open field, benches, a little fishing pond, covered picnic shelters, BBQ grills, volleyball net, horseshoe pit, biking/hiking trails, fishing pier, and other things I'm sure I'm leaving out! Really appreciated the clean, easy walking trails, the seclusive natural views, and conveniences (trash cans; bike locks, etc.) along the trails. This was quite a peaceful place to be...definitely worth a visit...and a revisit!

This park provides access to a variety of trails, some paved, with many remote areas for hiking. There are facilities for fishing the lake and lots of walkers and lots of bikes, but it is easy to find a quiet space for contemplation. The colors in the Fall are remarkable , Spring is truly wonderful, and the Summer days up under the pines in the center of the Owl's Roost trail are tranquil and serene. This park has connecting trails to many other popular hikes as well as those contained within the park. Busy weekends, quiet during the week.

During this time of the pandemic, the trails at Bur-mil (near the wildlife center) have provided our family the greatest joy to our spirit. The City of Greensboro has our gratitude for preserving and maintaining this wonderful sanctuary. We love taking walks down both directions. The trail that goes towards Strawberry road is less challenging but also has less tree cover. The highlight of this trail is the small clearing near the lake where you can enjoy the cool breeze of the lake. It's also a great place to hang your hammock. The trail that goes straight down from the wildlife center is more interesting because it bends and curves and goes up and down constantly. It also has a good tree cover throughout. The highlight of this trail is the bench on the left at the big metal bridge. Waiting for people to vacate the bench soon is expecting too much! It's a wonderful place to sit, relax and enjoy the view of the lake. Don't forget the flask of hot coffee and cookies. My only criticism is that some cyclists ride too fast down the trail, which can be extremely dangerous as there are many families with kids and elderly people that walk down these trails. However, the majority of the cyclists ride responsibly.

Where do I start, this park is absolutely amazing. I love how the park have areas to rest and renew yourself or even stretch! The views are stunning as well. On the trail you will see lizards, turtles, ducks, dogs (on the leash) bike riders, runners, and walkers(fast paced) from.time to time. Mom's with strollers rock! I do recommend everyone to try this park at least once. You can start on the battleground side and cross over the bridge, or start next to the wildlife center. Either way you will definitely get a food 5-7miles on this trail. Have FUN!!

We came to the park to hike the Owl's Roost Trail and it was closed. The nature center was also closed (sign read: due to covid-19). We settled for the Big Loop Trail and even though it is need of maintenance, we were not disappointed with the trek. Spent three hours at the park. Even though the main building was closed, an employee answered the phone and let us know bathrooms were open for public use.

I came here for a fall festival. I have been here before to go to the playground. This place is amazing. There is so much space. There are trails. There's fishing. The clubhouse is top notch and I only saw the screened on porch with its row of rocking chairs. It's way out off of Battleground, but worth the trip.

The mansion/museum is full of history not for just Greensboro but ALL of North Carolina! We had the best tour guide, Thomas is exceptionally keen and thorough! Ask questions and Thomas has all the answers😄beautiful architecture and original furniture wow 🤩 we want to go again because in these old places you always notice something you miss initially. Sadly I took no pictures but very much enthralled with all my eyes took in! My husband truly enjoyed Thomas tour & knowledge!

upon entering the mansion i was a little wary of how interesting it was going to be but once our tour guide, thomas started walking us through time, i knew this was going to be a tour i would always remember! our tour guide really had a way of making us feel like we stepped out of 2024 and into the 1800s. it was such a powerful experience and the mansion’s history had something interesting for everyone in my group to feel like this visit was worth every second! my favorite room was the daughter of the governor, hearing her story and seeing the art she created when she lost her husband was truly beautiful. i also was very happy to hear our tour guide include history on the slaves that lived there , as that’s not very common for other historical tours in the south to include. Was super memorable & would love to visit again when i am back in town !

A really neat historical spot in downtown Greensboro. It was not open for tours while we were there for a wedding and reception. The grounds are nice and relaxing. Nice spot for a wedding or other event!

We had an amazing tour with Matthew! Knowledgeable, thoughtful, flexible, and sophisticated. We are nerds and asked lots of weird questions, and he was great!

No one was there. We rang the bell as instructed, waited for 20 minutes and no one came. We showed up during business hours, ready to pay the entrance fee, but we stood in the rain and ended up going home. The outside was nice.

Love this place. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. If you're looking for a museum to visit and learn local history, this is a great place to stop. Preservation Greensboro runs the museum and they have a lot of other walking tours and stuff you can check out too.

Had an amazing tour guided by Thomas! Best historical tour I’ve ever experienced. He went, what felt like was, above and beyond to make our experience unique and memorable. His knowledge of the family and grounds had me in awe. Would recommend this incredible experience to anyone visiting or passing through this area. Blandwood Museum is lucky to have someone who cares so much about the building and history guiding visitors through the beautiful grounds!!

The price for a tour is pretty cheap, ($8) and the tour guide was very friendly and easy to talk to, open for any questions. I was the only person touring at the time I went, and it took roughly a little over an hour, walking room-to-room with the guide and talking about the estate and the family. I learned so much and it's amazing to see how much history is so close to home! I would definitely reccomend touring Blandwood for yourself, whether you're a history buff or just looking to pass the afternoon.

My friend and I came for a tour around 3:00. She is visiting from out of town. We were told to sit on the sofa and it would be 30-45 minutes for the next tour. We waited 2 hours and ended up leaving and never got to tour because the guide would not cut the previous tour short due to ‘questions’. Luckily we had not paid yet but we were visiting from out of town and this entire experience was extremely frustrating. The tour guide seemed remorseful but I feel it was very inconsiderate of our time. The previous group should have been told to hold their questions seeing as there were people waiting and the last tour was scheduled to stop at 4:00 pm, and the museum closed at 5 pm since it was a Sunday. I’m sad I wasted the little time I had with my friend.

Had an amazing tour with Thomas. For less than the price of a monthly Netflix subscription we got to hear all of his knowledge on this historic home and the family that lived there. Our group was not familiar with the home or the former governor as we are fairly new to the state, but felt lucky to have Thomas as our docent and left us talking about our experience for the rest of the day.

We stopped into the mansion for a tour and couldn’t be more pleased that we did! Thomas was our guide and he gave the best tour. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable, open to our many questions. It was easy to see he loves history and is personally invested in this house. This should be a stop when traveling in Greensboro!

A friend and I arrived a little past 3 to attend a tour of the estate. We were told by a docent that they were in the middle of a tour and it would be upwards of 30-40min. About an hour and half goes by and they were still in the middle of the tour and it was about to close in 15min. We ended up leaving after wasting almost 2hrs waiting. We were offered a free tour but we felt the tour would be rushed. I’m very unsatisfied with my experience and do not feel others should go. We feel as though the docent should have wrapped the tour up when they saw it was going over our time.

What a great contemporary and modern museum. The architecture is pretty. Love the light in the building. The exhibits change, there’s a creativity space. The courtyard with sculpture garden is lovely. Greensborough coffee to boot. You can’t beat the price or the parking. Free! Check it out for yourself!!!

Such a cool experience!! Had a blast. Interesting to see the different art mediums and what inspired the array of artists!!

The kind of experience you would have in large metropolitan university/cities with wonderful exhibitions.

Fairly small, total experience took less than 2 hours and we were taking our sweet time. There are some interesting activities that kids 5 and up could participate in. Writing in notebooks about the art is provided along with real typewriters and paper. Step by step instructions for use are also provided and you can keep what you type out! Interesting video/are piece on the second floor. Small coffee stand outside but we couldn't walk around with the coffee.

The Witherspoon is an Art Museum located on the Campus of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Its well worth a visit if you are in the area. It is one of my favorite rainy weekend places to go.

Free to visit, so don't be shy! A small but very respectable exhibit space featuring some very nice exhibits. Can be explored quickly, so feel free to pay a quick visit just to see what's there.

If you're in the area and have some time to kill, this is a great place to visit. It's a small museum so don't expect to get lost in here for hours, but there are some great exhibits. There are a few pieces outdoors as well to check out. For free admission and parking, you can't beat it. I visited on a weekend and there were only a few other visitors there.

It’s a great little museum. I might have been underwhelmed on visit because I recently went to The Met. That’s an unfair comparison. It had a surprisingly diverse collection of contemporary and modern art. The only drawback is that the building doesn’t have a water fountain in it. I’ve been to many museums across the USA and security is allowed to acknowledge others, nod and do more than lurk and stare at their phones. It’s unprofessional to have a lady in pajamas following and staring at me like I’m going to touch the art. It wasn’t welcoming.

I went to their 'To The Hoop' exhibition last November and really enjoyed with how well everything was laid out and how they were able to do so many artsy things with a basketball!! It was part modern commentary and unusual interpretations at the same time. A very interesting collection and can only imagine what their other exhibits must be like. Admission and parking is free so definitely must do if you're in town! Nothing to lose and you'll get to see some interesting art pieces!

Good school but the staff in the offices are the rudest people you’ll meet. No idea why financial aid, registrar, and admissions are that rude. They should fire everyone and rehire. It’s ridiculous, I’ve been here three years and every experience is upsetting

A&T freshman orientation was off the chain. The campus is beautiful. ASL students were live and in charge! Excellent admin and staff throughout..

OMG, I saw a lady who works as your security Lastonia Mitchell at a Metro on Summit the other day. She was acting a foo with the staff at the store. She was rude and very disrespectful. She was telling the girl there to come outside and fight her. She was telling her husband to keep quiet and go sit in the car. This is the kind of people you have around the students. She should be ashamed of herself. Her ethics are very poor outside, I could only imagine how bad she is at her job.

If you're an undergraduate student looking for an excellent level of education and a lot of scholarships opportunities. Or, if you're a graduate student looking for a high level research school then look no further. North Carolina a&t State University is your best choice. The campus also is breathtaking and you'll have many activities during your studies.

I tell myself to stay out of things but you all have a security guard working there Lastonia Mitchell and she is not very pleasant to others outside of work. Me and my husband were buying phones from a Metro on Summit. This woman was as ghetto as they come. She wanted to fight the young lady doing her job. She was harassing those poor girls, she even tried to throw a sign on the counter at one of them. Police had to be called on her, and she kept saying she's an officer at A&T university. If she is employed there, my children will never attend this school. Staff is important and should act accordingly in and outside the job.

My nephew was enrolling in this HBCU! My oldest graduated in 2012! Michelle Obama was the speaker! It was the best time ever! Aggie Pridddeee!!

This is a beautiful lake to come to for relaxing and winding down. Although this lake is within city limits it’s so tranquil you would think you’re in the country. I came here just the other day with a great friend and we had a pleasant conversation while we enjoy the nice day by the lake. I highly recommend

Great!, peaceful place for cal water kayaking. Never crowded and with a lot of little place on shores to stop, if needed. Water is super warm and clean. No motor bots allowed!

Nice nice nice. This place is pleasant surprise for greensboro. I like it. I think nice want to come again. The kayak rental was easy. I recommend paddle board as well very very fun. I wish they sold ice cream on shore tho oh well.

It was really chilly so i wasnt havin fun but we liked the view ate chill left. Wasnt able to ride bikes. Its a pretty small park. Wouldve preferred going to piney lake which is very similar clermont beach but theyre only open on weekends.

Lake Brandt Park. Have you taken advantage of Lake Brandt Park? Great place to have an affordable day outside with the family. Beautiful hiking trails and a nice marina to fish at and rent boats! This is a nice place to visit if you are in town just visiting or staying for an extended amount of time in Greensboro.

Staff is awesome, always willing to help. I went kayaking by my self and she helped me to unload and then load my kayak on my car. I did the yearly membership because I'm definitely coming back every time a have a chance.

Big place! They offer a wide variety with multiple shop owners there so every booth is a bit different and priced different. They sometimes will call the owner if you want to make an offer on anything. Plus they over a 10% off usually which is nice. Some stuff here was on the expensive side but I enjoyed shopping there and bought lots of items!

Been wanting to check this place out for a while. Finally got to stop in today. It’s huge! Definitely a place to check out for art pieces, dinnerware, lamps etc old LP’s, furniture, some clothing, lots of collectibles. We enjoyed our time there and the staff with spoke with was helpful. Very glad we visited & shopped.

Antique Market Place is huge! It’s a great place to just walk around kill some time. We enjoyed browsing all the unique pieces, and even got a couple trinkets for an affordable price!

The best place in North Carolina for REAL antiques and interesting artsy items. Prices range mostly from low to moderate with a few exceptional or unusual pieces being higher as any realistic or experienced collector would expect. Definitely still cheaper than in major cities that i shop. Tons of items in all price ranges, a true something for everyone place. Several vendors bring in really rare stuff that they probably paid a bunch for in the first place so fun to see even if out of budget. Staff is the best anywhere! Always super helpful even when super busy.

The young ladies at the front desk were so kind and helpful. The popcorn was delicious! Everything was so clean and organized..definitely not like other shops I've been in where everything just seems so "piled up", cluttered or shoved together. I like how open the store was, it made browsing much easier. They have such a variety of things too! We bought some old books, small ornaments/knickknacks. We will definitely be returning soon!

Antique Market Place is one of my favorite antique malls in the area where I live. I find awesome things every time I go there. And, the staff is awesome. They always greet you with a smile and are so helpful. I highly recommend going. You will not regret it.

I enjoy walking around here every time I come to town. It is a very big place and has many different items throughout. So many different booths with a large variety of antiques as well as some modern furniture.

Wonderful experience with the very pleasant owners of the business. Bought a buffet, 3 lamps one was a fabulous turtle lamp, 3 tables and 2 decorative stools in grey velvet. They delivered the next day! I definitely recommend you swing by and check out their odds and ends as well as a fine selection of unique market samples and decor.

This place is absolutely incredible. Huge selection - organized, clean and friendly staff. I spent an hour and half in the store and could have spent more. If you are a 'tiquer, I would highly recommend this place.

This store has a big and diverse selection, and I have found items here that I enjoy; however, I was sorely disappointed by the level of customer service I received when a vinyl record I purchased had the wrong disc in the sleeve, and they did absolutely nothing for me. I even told them I would be happy if they just checked to see if the cover matching the disc erroneously placed in the cover I purchased had the matching disc in it, and they told me that they were too busy. They didn’t even bother to offer to check later. They asked me to text pictures, which I did, and received no follow up. The record was $50 and I bought it as a gift for someone. I understand and take ownership of not checking the disc before I purchased the record, but a humble request for a reasonable amount of assistance should have been accommodated.

Beautiful antique mall. They had a wonderful variety of items and they were nicely displayed. The prices varied from vendor to vendor, but there were some fabulous deals.

I wouldn't buy anymore jewelry from them anymore. My husband pick up a bracelet for me that was supposed to be Juliana a vintage piece of costume jewelry. The piece cost close to $ 200.00. When looking at it I could tell 2 stone's were replaced with different kind of stones that were not suppose to be there. I don't know if the women replaced 2 stones so she could sell it for a good price or what. But now joy of getting a Juliana bracelet is gone. They say this women has 23 rented places in the antique mall and her name is Carol. So please be sure especially jewelry you buy there is the real stuff .Bring your phone and look it up and make sure everything is right especially stones in your jewelry. This makes me not trust this antique mall and Carol! Never again?

Every time I'm in town I love visiting this place! It's like a treasure hunt you never know what you're going to stumble upon. I stumbled upon a local couple who sells this amazing soap and lotion I would highly recommend paying them a visit. Not to mention you get an opportunity to check out a lot of the other cool items that are there. I would recommend this to friends and family and anyone visiting NC.
