First time to the new Yankee stadium. The fan experience is great & the MVP Lounge is worth the upgrade. The fans that I had interactions with were all friendly & I would say the food here is second to none, when it comes to ballparks that I have been to. A the sight lines while walking through the stadium were great. I would definitely come back (when my Mariners are in town)!

First time in Yankees Stadium, it was a great experience heading to the game. I will say I was a little underwhelmed by the stadium, if you woke up in the stadium you wouldn’t know it was Yankee stadium from the seats we had. The sight line I had didn’t even allow me to see home plate. With that said, the fans were great and the atmosphere was good. The food was decent I had a ballpark sausage and it was not good. Then I got the 99 - Aaron Judge burger and it was ok at best, super salty, the flavors didn’t match to me. I have better burgers at fast food places. It was pretty cool to see he had a burger. Experience was good, would’ve been better if home plate wasn’t blocked the whole game. Next time I’ll come and get a seat with better views. Thank you to all the hard core Yankee fans I got to meet there.

I watched a football(soccer) match there. The stadium looks nice and great family event or alone, this was actually one the reasons why I travelled to NY for a holiday, to watch an MLS match (as I'm a huge footy fan and want to attend other cities to watch too). The staff were friendly too and helped me when looking for my seat and entrance. Of course, the sport is growing and not as popular as other sports but it's great to see people in their NY shirts especially kids, maybe one day the city and country will reach new heights. Good luck to them.

As a Yankee fan from the South, I am very happy that I finally got to visit Yankee Stadium and watch the Yankees play. One of the best ballparks I have ever been to. First game in Yankee Stadium and to see Nestor pitch 8 scoreless innings, to see Soto first homer in the Bronx, and get the dub. Start spreading the news!!! Couldn't ask for anything else. Let's go Yankees!!!!!

I don’t care what you say about New Yorkers I had nothing but nice experiences at the Yankee stadium. From the guys standing in the rain directing people to the ushers!! We got to the stadium and it was pouring down I gentleman helped us get the the ticket office. Once there a very nice man helped us upgrade our tickets to an outstanding location at a great price. The concession workers were so helpful and friendly. It was a great experience all around!!

First time here ever and it was an amazing experience. From the staff to the actual stadium and its architectural design to the food and the ambiance, I hope to be back in the future for other similar events. I attended the Hip-Hop is 50 Concert and no better place than in the BX for it to have been. One of the best concerts I attended in my lifetime and it was an unforgettable memory!

Amazing experience! Incredible ballpark and great fan base. Couldn’t say more about good old Yankee Stadium. On the night I attended they snapped a 9-game losing streak, with Aaron Judge hitting 3-home runs. Amazing time with the “bleacher creatures”. Definitely worth however much you spend on tickets!

I didn't go for a game as it wasn't baseball season but I got the tour you can buy online, and it was very informative and great. They show you the whole stadium including the museum and monument park a site inside the stadium where they have plates and memorials to honor pass players. The whole experience was incredible and the stadium in general is a big piece of art.

What a great experience! Bought out tickets on stub hub and took the subway from Times Square to Yankee stadium. Garlic fries were delicious. Popcorn was very over salted. The hot dogs were good. Food over priced as you would expect. If you want a hat buy it outside from a street vendor! Only $10. Buy your water outside as well for just a dollar!

Upon entering it’s definitely showing it’s age. Areas could use a good power washing. Plenty of concessions throughout. Very friendly and helpful staff. The presence of New York’s finest both inside and out was very comforting especially being with my 9 year old. Stadium food and drink prices are ridiculous. Overall this was a great experience.

Actually flew to NY to eat the food at Yankees Stadium. The game was great, the stadium is great, the food was well worth the whole trip. We had the sliced prime rib over steak fries and the prime rib sandwich. I loved getting to go through the Yankees museum and see past players equipment. Highly recommend.

I mean it’s Yankee stadium! What can you say? The ambience is amazing, the amenities are well cared for, and while the staff are always rushed, they are polite and helpful. The prices for food and drink are obviously ridiculous but that’s what comes with a day at the baseball. Highly recommend.

This new stadium is all about the luxury suites and boxes. So, this review reflects my experience with these boxes. Yesterday I was in Legend suite 21 right field. The view was solid but still small bc of the position of the suite. The food is solid but nothing special. Hot dogs Pizza Salad Chicken fingers Cookies Chips Popcorn Beer and soda. If you're invited, definitely do it, but parking is an absolute nightmare and it's a stadium, so it will be loud. Over all, I've been to better stadiums and miss original Yankee stadium. But, life changes.

Great experience (ignoring the score!). Food was pricey but expected. Security clearance was quick, we arrived about an hour before the game started. Better signage to the lifts is needed, having climbed to the very top, only to see the lifts as we were leaving!

I am a diehard Red Sox fan and I did a Yankee stadium tour with my wives family and I have to say it was absolutely amazing. History, tradition and pure baseball. The museum, monument park and the park itself was such a joy. I highly recommend it

Amazing experience. Went during the summer of 2023, and it was scorching, I also forgot sunglasses. It is a bit of a way from Times Square and the main hotels but is worth it.

This is a TOUR review* as when we visited NYC there were no games but my boyfriend is a diehard fan so we went to the tour. The guide was great. VERY knowledgeable of baseball and the yankees. Overall the tour was worth it and there’s a ton of things in the gift shop. Only thing - my boyfriend had read that the tour included the lockers, it does not, just FYI.

Very organized getting in the gate, I was happy to see that bags were thoroughly checked, bathrooms were very clean, GREAT variety of food, fun atmosphere for kids, overall wonderful experience!!

It was an incredible experience, enjoying a traditional hot dog and beer, the level of the team is amazing, you know why the players are in(all looks easy), the stadium is full a11y by train, inside have an amazing ambient always with a lot of security, finallly ticketmaster Paperless as usual.

Yankee stadium is beautiful... Lots of restaurants in and around the stadium along with stores to buy Yankees merchandise. Just have to be aware of your surroundings..

The Bronx Zoo is awesome! So many areas to visit. Wear comfortable shoes because it can be alot of walking! The dinosaur safari was great, the gorillas are a must see! The monorail which is seasonal is now opened & is a nice ride around Asia. Not only do you get to see amazing animals, but you get a nice break from a lot of walking! There's also a shuttle you can catch if you don't want to walk from 1 end of the zoo to the next, but while walking there are lots of things to see. You can get lunch, ice cream & snacks there, but you can take your own food & water with you too. Buy tickets online before going. I've gone multiple times. During the week is less hectic than a weekend or even a holiday weekday. Ample parking but cost $20. If you have an annual pass you get a discount. The annual pass can get 3 adults & 4 kids in for free, so of you think you'd visit often, maybe it's worth getting.

A wonderful zoo with so many beautiful animals. This zoo is huge and there is a lot of walking around from animal to animal sometimes but it’s a gorgeous space to enjoy a brisk walk. All the animals are fabulous and there are so many species to see it is sure to delight all ages. The monorail is especially cool and the guides on them are wonderful. A really fantastic trip to take while you are in NYC.

Amazing zoo. It’s probably the best zoo I’ve been to. The animals seem relaxed and the whole zoo had a sense of space and privacy. Plenty of shade as we walked around. Canteen was reasonable and free water. Lots of interactive things for kids to do. Easily spend the whole day here. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend.

Great Zoo, probably the best one i have ever visited. All the animals seemed to be very healthy and happy with their quite big cages. I would recommend buying the 18$ unlimited access ticket because you get to see a lot of animals that you normally would'nt and in my opinion they have earned the fare for the quality of the Zoo too. I would recommend for adults and children as well, a lot of friendly workers and also access to food and drinks.

My mother has been taking my siblings and I to the Bronx Zoo for years, and now I take my own children. It's always a great trip. I recommend memberships to everyone. You save so much money over the year. Booking the day of your trip is a must because you can show up and there's no room to enter the zoo. When we arrived on Saturday morning, they opened the gates and already had the sign that the zoo was at capacity for the day. The food is kind pricey as always but pretty good. You get a discount with membership. The animals are the best part. Their enclosures are built with their comfort in mind. There's so much to see and so many exhibits that you can keep coming back to see what you missed, plus it's a great workout with the size of the zoo. No more paper maps since everything can now be viewed on your phone. Overall, I'm happy with the trip and will be going back at least one more time before the end of this year.

It was fun and the zoo was massive! We arrived at 2pm and the zoo closed at 5:30pm. Most of the indoor close at 5pm. It’s a great place for family especially with little kid. We have the membership and to enter the zoo was smooth and easy. Most of the indoor space needs to park the stroller in a designated area, but most of the time, there’s a staff to look over the area, however, it’s suggested to take your value belonging with you. We went to the bird house(not sure the right name) but it’s an indoor space where you can feed the birds and the ticket is 5$ for adult and 3$ for members. It was fun and highly recommended. The bug carousel was fun too and my toddler loves it and would wanna leave. It’s free and might take sometime to wait on the line, we weee lucky that there was not much people waited when we went. The parking lot has a lot of spaces and they charge $22 for parking, we purchased the parking when doing our membership so it was free for us. There’s three parking lot A-C, it’s suggested to park at A where you can easily enter the primary area in the zoo. There’s shuttle train in the zoo that can take you to different zone without having too much walking, and food & drink are not allow. Need to finish them before on board. It’s important because there’s a cafe next to the station and a lot of people bought ice cream and was told to finish their food before on board. We didn’t get a chance to explore the entire zoo but at least 60% of it and will return soon since our baby loves it very much! Had a great time here!

I went their with my family. Kids are 5 and 7 years old. We stayed their for approx 5 hours, kids really loved the place as they saw the animals up close. Attention was paid to little details which is why I guess the animals were quiet active. Monorail was also an interesting experience. I guess the Downside was limited eating options and we didn't find a hippo.

Amazing experience and we went their in fall. so many species to see and you can spend your day with kids easily. better to arrive early if you want to cover the whole zoo. We arrived on 10am and waited there untill it closed. seasonal monorail takes you through the Asian wilderness. It open May – October only. Closed November – April and Weather dependent. try to go in the monorail first If it is open, otherwise you have to wait more than 1 hour due to long line. Better to book your tickets in advance and wear comfortable shoes. Love the surrounding area too.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the zoo. As a Bronx Resident, my bar was not very high but it definitely exceeded my expectations. Primarily, it was to take my mother and my son to have a beautiful family day which we did and for that, I am grateful. Animals were playing and very cooperative when it came to showcasing their playful selves. I could just be lucky. Amazing time, wish their were more restrooms in between main areas, and more snack stands would help. Overall, highly recommend!

A great place to go for a day out with friends or family. Bronx Zoo was loads of fun. My favorite part was the Reptile enclosure. It was genuinely fantastic and fun. I can't wait to go back again! Definitely an all-day thing, and we still didn't see everything. But 100% recommend it.

This is such a fun zoo! We were able to see almost everything however I do wish we had 2 days to really enjoy the entire zoo. The layout is great, plenty of room to maneuver strollers or wagons, restrooms were very clean. The animals were all so fun to observe and for the first time ever I enjoyed a reptile exhibit. Parking is $20 so not bad at all, the monorail is included in your ticket however we did have to pay $5/person to feed the birds. It was well worth it based on our experience. AAA does offer discount tickets if you are a member and all tickets (AAA or not) must be purchased in advance.

Amazing zoo! Had a great time. We went later in the day so several of the attractions were closed. Pretty much see all you'd like by 3. Almost everything is done by 4. Gift shop even closes early.

We took the subway in and after a short walk from the station, we got there as soon as they opened. There was literally nobody there except staff! The grounds were pretty to see, especially in the winter season. Iced over ponds, seeing your breath and snow flurries made our day. Having been to many zoos, this zoo is near the top. All of the animals seemed so eager to see us human visitors. I liked the tropical spots, for amphibians and also some birds, probably because they were heated! Food is somewhat expensive, it’s a zoo so don’t expect anything less. Staff was friendly, great place for your kids! A great place to visit and see lots of different species of animals. The zoo is large and you will need to arrive early in the morning if you want to see everything. We came at 11 and stayed until closing time missing only two exhibits. Tickets do need to be reserved in advance and Wednesday is free with limited admission. We paid $18 each for upgraded general admission on Wednesday and were able to see the available attractions (Congo Forest, Butterfly Garden, Monorail, etc.) in addition to exhibits. We were able to get inside without any waiting and it was not crowded.

#1 Best zoo in the known universe 💖💖we loved walking around and seeing the animals. It was nice to see that their cage were spacious! I particularly loved seeing the gorilla. They were interesting to watch because they behaved a lot like us, which isn't surprising considering we have common root. I was glad to be born as a human though (although sometimes I think their lives are more meaningful!). Anyway, the price seems expensive but it's for a good cause. They are saving many animals from going extinct. I applaud the Bronx Zoo! Otherwise I wouldn't have ever gone to the Bronx 🤣

The Bronx Zoo brings the child out of anyone. Lots of animals to see 👀 when they aren't asleep or hiding. Can't blame the animals. They must be tired of the daily grind with people looking at them. No one, not even animals, can get used to that. The food is expensive for not much in portions. Bring your own food 😋 or go elsewhere. The staff is very helpful and courteous. It does take a whole day to see 👀 everything. Your best bet is the upgraded package. Wednesdays are free, but it's for the limited package.

Had the best time. I highly suggest getting the VIP tour. It was $160 for an hour for a tour guide driving you to animal exhibits. Ricky was our tour guide and he was amazing. I would do it again and request him. So knowledgeable and funny. First time at the Bronx Zoo and I feel in love with it. I can't wait to visit again.

Really good zoo. Went on a Wednesday, so admission was free. But you have to pay to see some parts of the zoo. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see animals as it was very cold and they were in shelter. And as it was out of peak season times, all the outlets and shops around the zoo weren't open. The highlight for me would definitely have to be the gorillas. It was amazing to get up and close to such wonderful, beautiful, and sadly endangered animals.

Great experience. I went in November, and due to weather conditions, we couldn't see the elephants, giraffes, and a few other animals. But all the rest was 100% worth it. Wednesdays are $0.00- up to 6 tickets per person, but it doesn't include the attractions, so I recommend paying $17.95, and you'll have unlimited access to all the attractions; otherwise, you'll pay 7.00 per attraction. Have fun!

Bit of a money trap. We bought the paying Wednesday ticket which is supposed the include attractions but once on site they wouldn’t let us in. Would have a lot cheaper just taking the free tickets. The zoo itself is fine. A lot of different animals, some of which are probably exclusive to America. While it is quite big as well the whole experience was not as good compared to other animal parks we’ve been too. All in a ll a nice daytrip for the family because of the animals.

Amazing day out for folks of all ages, tons of exhibits and things to see! Great variety of exhibits, but be aware you’ll probably do a lot of walking! Can definitely be a full day of fun if you add breaks etc. Really recommend taking a trip up from Manhattan if you’re in the area!

This was our first time visit to this zoo during winter.It was an incredible experience!!The landscapes are beautiful.You can see peacocks freely roaming and relaxing in many places(which I thoroughly enjoyed).We also had an opportunity to watch the sea lion feeding show.Surprised to see few animals like giraffe, rhinos indoors. The cafeteria had vegan options including salads/ burrito bowl.Overall, our kids were delighted to spend time at the zoo and wish to see how it is during summer.I think you need at least 3 hours to visit the entire zoo.

One of the best if not the best zoos in the U.S. We visited New York and were surprised and amazed at the cleanliness, creative setting and how well kept the animals were. The landscape views were stunning. The animals were wonderful to see and with so many varieties. I highly recommend anyone to spend a day at this American icon and get in early and stay late!

Had a great time here with my boys! We came with a friend and there was so much to see we returned again the next day! The staff were friendly and accommodating to us. Bathrooms are plenty which is so important when traveling with children. We went late in the season so only one food place is open but it's cafeteria style so grab what you want and pay at the front, efficient! Would definitely return for another visit at some point

We visited years back but this time to see holiday lights and man what they have made is amazing! Whole zoo lighted up with bright animals! It’s very creative! Took us 2 hours to visit everything. There was train ride but we didn’t do it.

This is a really fun indoor place to visit during the cold winter days. Several iconic buildings/stations across NYC are modeled from wooden logs and trains are running all around them. A wonderful experience to learn about the historical progression of railroad in NY. Along the trains, you also get to learn lots about trees and plants. The ticket to the comes with full access to the garden. They have a limited number of parking spots, around 40, on site. Its $20 for the day. Tickets are $32 per adult. Buy tickets online to ensure you have guaranteed entry to the show. I’d recommend getting the membership, which costs about 1.5x price of regular ticket, but you get unlimited entries for the year. Certain level of membership also comes with free parking and 10% discount in Gift shop. If you already purchased tickets, you can get upto $95 in credit, if you buy membership on the same day of your visit. This is a fun family spot, lots if things to explore with kids. They have cafe and restaurants at the site too. Easily worth visit 2-3 times a year (winter, cherry blossom and summer days).

I've been wanting to go Kusama exhibit since I first saw one online. When I saw Cosmic Nature in NYC, I knew I wanted to go. It's a bit of a trek to get here from the city. It took over an hour to get here from Grand Central. It was definitely worth the trip here. I loved the exhibit, but the garden itself was gorgeous too. We spent a couple of hours here and if I wasn't so tired from walking so much already, we could have spent longer. I'd definitely recommend this as a great way to escape the city for a while.

A gorgeous place to visit. We have been going here for over a decade now and go at least a few times a year (Orchid Show, Pumpkin Festival and the Holiday Train Show). Its a great place to walk outdoors and enjoy all the flora and fauna. Every season and even month brings something new to enjoy. Young and old, there's something here for you. Tired from walking? Hop on the tram and take a tour. It stops along the way at various points and you can hop off and explore. Always a lovely time here.

I had so much fun today. Everything impressed. The nature, the well-thought-out art, the fall theme, and even my taste buds thanked me. I was walking around with a very tasty cold beer. The hot chocolate was so rich and delicious too. NYBG I love you so much

Attended the Orchard show today with the family. Was a beautiful presentation for sure. Even though it's not full blown spring yet, the show definitely brought spring to us in a forest and desert setting. Great work, had a great time. While still around if your able I would say check it out ☺️

We went there during winter for the “GLOW” exhibition and the “train show” which we really enjoyed. It’s cool to experience a botanical garden in a different way, by watching miniature trains go through the plants and gaze at beautiful built miniatures of famous New York buildings. Although it’s a great idea and fun to see it’s not worth the around 50$ admission fee for both things. That’s too expensive. Luckily it works with the Sightseeing pass, although you are not supposed to see the “GLOW” exhibition at night because the lady in the ticket booth told us we have to be outside at 5 pm. Obviously nobody is checking when you are actually leaving :) We spent 1/2-1 hour inside watching the trains and about 30 minutes walking through the area and watching the Christmas lights. I definitely recommend doing it when it’s dark and with snow when you are really lucky. They close at 10pm (the train exhibition earlier). Cool shop at the end with quality products.

Lovely and peaceful place to spend a day with family. The orchid exhibition was fantastic. The children’s garden was awesome for kids to explore. Will go back again to explore more. The only downside was that the cafeteria was crowded and had to wait in a long line to get food.

I’ve visited twice because it’s so cool! Very nice when it’s nice out because it’s basically all outdoors. You can ride the free trolley (includes a narration too) around the garden and hop off/on at different stops. They typically have interactive classes or activities throughout the week. The two times I visited, both on weekend mornings, there was a sort of cooking or tea class where instructors taught a recipe made from fresh ingredients harvested from the edible garden or a tea blend made with dried ginger and lemongrass. The rose garden was in full bloom when I visited this past June. Usually no line at the ticket booth. They have a nice gift store with plants and plant related goodies. Not sure about the entrance fee because I get free tickets through work. Might be included in your NYPL card benefits.

Such a beautiful oasis. Definitely worth walking the grounds here and paying extra to see the Haupt Conservatory greenhouse. Inside are so many different kinds of plants, trees, cacti, etc. For food/drinks, Pine Tree Cafe had good food options and lattes for a decent price. Hudson Garden Grill is more for a fancier (and pricier) experience if you are looking for that.

We saw the orchid show, and it was absolutely amazing!!! I would recommend to any and everyone to go and experience the beautiful flowers and the curation that is spectacular. Worth every part of $35. When we came they were out of parking though. That was a bit tough, so we were instructed to go to a parking structure across the street. It cost $22 to park there, and it took forever to get parked.

My family, including my 5 year old son, and I had a great time visiting here on Christmas Eve. The lines weren’t too bad and the weather wasn’t too cold so we lucked out! The main attraction was the Holiday Train show which was amazing. We also took a ride on the free shuttle bus around the entire property which was about a half hour ride. I look forward to coming back more to explore the grounds more fully in different seasons!

It is so lovely here! The orchid show was so beautiful! Walked around a bit after and took some great pictures. The sandwich at the pine tree cafe was amazing!

One could easily spend several days here, exploring the many exhibits, trails, and gardens. Overall a lovely experience, special gardens are available for children’s to explore, the tram rounds every 25 minutes or so, dining available in the cafe but there appears to be ample room for picnics. Very kid friendly.

Beautiful gardens, a very peaceful area with a wonderful display of different types of flowers from all around the world, definitely worth every penny.

Had a lovely time. The train show is really amazing. You'll enjoy it. It's also just far enough away from the noise of our BK neighborhood that we felt like we were on vacation. Highly recommend.

The botanical garden located in the Bronx was established in 1891 and is spread out over about 260 acres. There is an entrance charge to the garden. It is about a 22-minute train ride from Grand Central Station and a few minutes walk from the train station. It's a great place for children. A tram ride provides a good overview of the garden. We were there for the birding 101 guided tour. Our guide, who was very knowledgeable, talked about the migratory habits of different birds and also how to tell the type of birds from the sound they made. We managed to identify over 10 different birds in our one hour tour. There are cafes and toilets conveniently located near the main entrance. The Bronx Little Italy neighbourhood is about a 20-minute walk from the main entrance of the park and has amazing Italian food and pastries.

Aside from all the exhausting traffic, City Island was the perfect mini getaway for my staycation. I visited a friend who live on the harbor and everything was beautiful along the water, people were friendly, the food & drinks were delish! Will definitely return, I love the atmosphere!

City Island is a hidden gem in the Bronx. Access is via two bridges in Pelham Bay Park. One of them opens for boat traffic. It has one main street and the island extends a few short blocks to both sides of this avenue. There is a small museum about the nautical history of the island- check for latest hours and days. The island is known for its restaurants and the accompanying traffic, especially in the summer and on holidays. Be patient. Most of the larger places have their own parking and it is sometimes valet. Everyone has their own favorite - Italian, fast food, hibachi- upscale- they have it all. City Island is walkable and is an absolute delight in the summer with views of Long Island Sound and a very popular ice cream spot. Limited parking can be found on the side streets. Did I mention that fishing boats go out every day?

Ate at the original crab shanty, had the shrimp scampi was delicious, also had a Cosmopolitan was very good and strong.

Sammy's is great for dine in seafood experience! Crab legs on point! Seafood City is good for take out and even to chill in the back by the water and eat. Drinks are potent but delicious.. these are my 2 recommendations! 🤌🏻

It's a great place to visit in terms of restaurants. There are such fantastic restaurants too choose from. My favorite is the Lobster house. I believe you will enjoy the food yourself. So get out to City Island and enjoy.

Wonderful little place in New York City. We were on a boat and had a peaceful night on a mooring ball in the harbor.

I've been coming to Crab shanty for many years. And it's always a good place for family get together. Hanging out with friends or three Special someone in your life. Nice atmosphere. Very good food. Sammy's is also very good but pricy. Most of the restaurants are very good. Great place to go in a beautiful sunny day especially the end Johnny's or Tony's left or right at the end. Reasonable prices and the food is very good also. And out door seating.

Nice city , Walmart around, enjoy the weather and beautiful beach.

I loved the Island. I will NEVER go to Sammy's again that's 4 SURE 💯 I dined in the ⛺️, There was a fly in my water right off, with those prices a proper mesh frame should be securely around that with privacy settings. The food was TERRIBLE! The waiter was polite, but he was a bit off. I ordered two separate dishes one displayed Pasta with shrimp scampi, my other choice was a chilled butter lobster. I received a Dry poorly heated lobster Salamander probably. With a side but in the same Dish as the lobster. No pasta 😡 I'm sure it was not a race thing, we were both Hispanic. The guy just assumed we didn't have $ or was a poor listener. If the food would have been good, I would have complimented it. It was Luke warm dry and just had butted bread crumbs. It sat too long no salt no Garlic No LOVE. 😫 😪 It was supposed to be a treat turned into a nightmare. My night was great with Family, but not a memorable experience in there. Oh and bathrooms across the damn street and maze in 🙄 I'll happily retrain kitchen 🥰💪

I have been going to City lsland since I was a child. Excellent seafood and beautiful views, whichever restaurant you choose.

Historic amusement park on the Atlantic Ocean is now open for the holidays and has a Christmas tree. Make it a day trip and go to the NY Aquarium and stroll around Brighton Beach.

Such a great hidden gem a couple of miles outside of Manhattan. Go to any of the local eateries to enjoy the taste of summer!

Love city island best to visit weekdays early nights are a beast traffic wise

Hi guys! Today was my first time that I go to City Island. I recommend them, it is a small island and you can do everything in 40 to 45 minutes walking. It is very easy to arrive and when they arrive in Line 6 green, when they leave the station "Pelham Bay Park, only meters away you have the Collective" Bx29 ", which is the same to return and leave them in the same place. Have my review help you, regards.

This is a great Little Italy. Very authentic. Great bakeries, restaurants and coffee. Enzo's is great for pasta, probably the vest anywhere. Great place to explore.

Felt like being back in Italy. Was able to find all the Italian products we cant find in upstate NY. Friendly people and will be making a shopping trip down to pick some great food!

What a great section of town. In the morning we had a bagel. In the afternoon I had an unbelievable sandwich at one of the local shops.

Interesting neighbourhood. You really don’t feel that you are in Bronx! Like an oasis in desert. Many nice restaurants and pubs. You can buy fresh pasta in Italian grocery store.

Start at prince coffee house on Arthur Avenue with a fantastic coffee and great people watching. We heard Italian at every table. Then go up Arthur Avenue to the indoor Arthur Avenue retail market which is amazing. Everything from cigars to every food you can imagine. Keep going and shops, bakeries and restaurants abound. End up at a wonderful bakery called Artuso bakery. Go hungry!

CALLING ALL PIZZA LOVERS!! Visited during the 1st annual pizza festival this year! Let's just say u missed a one of a kind experience that only happens once a year and it started this year(2018). Add it to ur list of things to do for 2019! U will not regret it! My favorite from area is in the pictures! If u visit try the short rib pizza 🙌🙌

Alot better than manhatten little Italy. A more homey, local feel. Dont forget to go see the salami chandelier at the Calabria Pork Store and get some homemade salami to go!

This small (28 acre) estate has become a lovely and well-maintained public garden. There are lots of landscaped areas to explore with many varieties of plants, flowers and trees. There’s 2 mansions and a nice cafe in one. It’s free on Thursday if you can go then. There are lawn chairs spread around and you are welcomed to bring food and drinks, a lovely spot to relax in good weather. Worth a visit!

It is one of the most beautiful places in NYC to visit. Stunning views of the Hudson from the Bronx and a nice hiking trail. You can come here to soak up the sun or explore the ground and exotic plants. Great place if you're looking for a calming, scenic experience.

Wave Hill Public Garden is a fantastic place to visit. The amenities, such as clean restrooms and a nice, tidy Cafe, are definitely a plus. The gardens themselves are absolutely stunning, with a variety of colorful flowers and plants to include a water garden with lillies and goldfish. I especially loved the abundance of shaded seating areas along the walking paths, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The convenience of easy street parking or a paid lot makes it accessible for everyone. Additionally, I was impressed by how well they catered to individuals with limited mobility, offering assistance when needed. It was heartwarming to see many families with children exploring the garden as well. Overall, Wave Hill Public Garden is a must-visit, offering a serene and enjoyable experience for all.

Went to the family art project with my wife and son. Upon walking into the wave Hill gardens the security guards were very welcoming. Paid $10 per adult to get in. Walked through the grounds it was very tranquil, calm and inviting you almost forget you are in the Bronx. the grounds are absolutely beautiful from the flowers to the trees to the view. There are beautiful views of the Hudson river, Palisades and you can even see the George Washington bridge. The family art project was really cool. The workers at the our project were very friendly and inviting. The project of the day was instruments. You were able to make drums, guitars, or trumpets. My son enjoyed it very much. There where lot of others arts and crafts that can be done. It was an overall great experience and would definitely suggest anyone to go and enjoy that grounds with their family. The gift shop had very cute gifts as well.

I will start off by saying that it's pretty confusing/difficult to get to. You have to walk down what seems like a winding private road without a sidewalk. A little dangerous, especially at night. Once you actually get there, it's beautiful. The grounds themselves are breathtaking. There is a beautiful view of the cliffs of New Jersey right when you walk in. There are lots of other smaller gardens and hiking trails, so bring your hiking boots. There's a cafe if you want a snack. I went during the fall and was treated to beautiful foliage. I imagine it's also lovely during the spring. The only other downside is that there wasn't really anyone around to ask for help if needed. But besides that, it was a great way to spend an afternoon.

A beautiful oasis in NYC. A hidden gem. Good for a getaway from the hustle and bustle. Views across the Hudson to NJ and the Palisades are cool. The gardens are beautifully kept and there is a trail that takes you around the grounds.The terrace overlooking the grounds is a good place for a cup of coffee, light lunch or to set up your virtual office for the day (in silence, of course). Worth a visit. Oh, and the gift shop is a fun one, you will be sure to find a unique gift. Go on now and check Wave Hill out!

I really enjoyed my visit here . but wish it wasn't raining. Glad I waited it out and sun finally came out so I could continue my venture here, beautiful grounds, would love to come back when it's dry. Lol 😆 it's unbelievable this is the Bronx. Loved the smell of pine everywhere. Even enjoyed a delicious hot cocoa in the Cafe

This is another place I found by accident but glad I did. Beautiful garden that hard to believe it's in the bronx. You feel like your upstate when you reach this neighborhood. Small but great place to have a picnic or just relax and enjoy the beauty around you.

Such a beautiful place to visit! Feels like a "secret garden." Staff was friendly and the grounds are meticulously kept. Lovely afternoon spent exploring these gardens. The variety of plants was incredible too! We saw pitcher plants and flowers that I have never seen before. Very cool place to take the kids.

I have been twice ($10 adult admission, $6 student) over the past few weeks and am so impressed by the design of each space-almost everything changes as things fall in and out of bloom. Getting there is not the easiest commute from Uptown Manhattan, but very very worth it! I’d say you can see everything within two hours. The cafe is not bad if you need a quick snack or a more substantial sandwich or salad. But don’t miss a slow walk through both sections of the greenhouse! Plenty of green space for kids and chairs throughout for adults. Very worth the value!

Beautiful grounds. Lots of open land and seating for you to sit and observe the lovely views. I saw many people of all age ranges exploring and physical capabilities. Had a snack in the cafe which was solid although their kitchen was closed when I went. There are multiple walking paths for those who like to explore. The gardens and flowers were beautiful. Would absolutely go back for a relaxing afternoon, wish I discovered it earlier in the summer. Views were breathtaking.

Amazing place! Beautiful whole year long. It’s my friends absolutely favorite place in whole NY. There is 13$ for parking and 10$ entrance fee. There is little museum with vary exhibitions, botanical garden, fascinating views of Hudson River and very peaceful energy around.

This is a true gem nestled in the heart of The Bronx. It offers a perfect escape from the concrete jungle, immersing in a peaceful and serene environment. Also, don't miss the delightful on-site cafe. I absolutely enjoyed my visit and took many pictures (as you can see 😂). Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful garden! Admission is $10 per adult for non-members. You have access to all of the gardens. It’s a perfect place for a low key date, relaxing weekend outing or a place to go just for fun.

Would come again. Quaint and quiet garden greenery in the Bronx. At times felt like I was in the middle of upstate NY. Love the off the beat hiking trail around the upper part of the part and the lovely little stone benches. The various wooden chairs under the shades of the trees with the idyllic breezes that made today the perfect day. My only point for recommendation for the park is that on the map when on the dirt trails is to add the colored arrows you have on the stairways to the map so us customers may readily know where we are.

Wave Hill is beautiful and I can't believe that, in all the years we've lived in the Bronx and Yonkers, we never visited. We actually just happened here while searching for a place to grab a quick bite to eat in the area. We had no idea where we were going. Luckily, it was a Thursday, and they're free to the public on that day every week. Parking is at an expense of $13 per car. We walked through across their grounds to their building that houses their café. The staff is very nice. Wilfredo, Tatiana and Vanessa, were all very helpful and provided service with a smile. We sat and ate, while enjoying the sights from the dining area. Unfortunately, I had to run to work but my husband brought our kiddo back to explore their gardens, conservatory, gift shop and gorgeous views of the Hudson River. We will most definitely be back when it gets a bit warmer but I have to say that we felt like VIPs, having the space to ourselves during this time of year, so early in the day.

What a wonderful place to visit in the summer and spring to enjoy the beautiful nature and garden with family or loved ones. It’s a really relaxing garden full of many flowers and plants. If you are looking to do something on a beautiful day, this is the place to visit 💯😍👍

I'm coming back here. The rainy weather doesn't do it much justice, but it was a great experience. Great place to take yourself to clear your head, get inspired, or take a date. Give it a chance on Thursday when it's free, but I don't mind becoming a member just to take advantage of the views and the environment. Any view overlooking the Hudson River is always a plus, especially when you are still in the Bronx.

Took my students there for 2 courses and it was great. Our guides were knowledgeable and patient with my high school students and their communication with me was excellent. I let the staff know in advance what we were studying and they made sure to connect their curriculum to it. My hat goes off to everyone there; from the guides to the gardeners. Wave Hill is BEAUTIFUL. I had not been in over 30 years, since I was in elementary school. I appreciated it so much more as an adult and I know my students were impressed also.

This is a very beautiful & well kept cemetery. Honestly, one of the most beautiful I've ever been to. However after a recent visit for an in laws burial, I couldn't have been more disappointed. After paying $40,000 you really mean to tell me it was so hard to have all the paperwork, permits, etc ready for the scheduled time of burial when they had a week to have everything ready to leave our family standing around for over an hour because this hadn't been handled? People are already emotional, grieving & hurting after the passing of a loved one & to have something like this happen felt like insult to injury. There was absolutely no excuse & not even apologies were given for this by staff. Woodlawn Cemetery just gave the impression that sometimes it truly is all about the money & nothing more. I hope no other families have to experience this as I said it was an insult to injury.

The cemetery is huge so I don’t know my way around it. On my last visit a very courteous worker drove me to my loved one’s plot, waited for me, and then drove me back to the entrance. He was so personable and kind that I was upset I didn’t have cash on hand to tip him. For this visit, I made sure to bring cash even though I was not sure if the workers were allowed to accept tips. The driver picked me and my sister up from in front of the visitor’s center. He gave a gruff hi. This should have been my first clue that things would go wrong. Areas in the cemetery have names so I told the driver that we were going to the Iris area and he said, “well I’ll go there and you tell me where to stop.” I explained that we had only visited twice before so we were not sure exactly where the grave was. The driver continued to drive and then he announced, “well I just drove past Iris and you didn’t say stop so I guess you don’t know where you’re going. “ Sensing his agitation, I said, “you can let us out here and we’ll look for it.” He began making very rude comments one after the other. I was so shocked. I said, “sir don’t be rude” and he said, “well, I know where my loved ones are buried.” At that point I told him that he needed to stop speaking and he told me I needed to learn how to take a joke. While my sister and I were at the grave laying flowers, the driver drove off without saying a word to us. We had to walk all the way back to the visiting center which took about 20 minutes After ten minutes of walking, the driver passed us on the road and had the nerve to ask if we needed a ride back! Of course we said no. When we arrived back at the visiting center, we filed a complaint but weren’t able to give the driver’s name. The workers in the office were very apologetic and understanding and we appreciated that. Upon exiting the visitor’s center we asked the security guard posted outside if he knew the name of the driver that picked us up and he said Willy. Well Willy, you need training on how to work in a field that deals with humans who are grieving and have lost loved ones. You’re poor attitude and disrespect was uncalled for and you should be reprimanded. I have a feeling that if we were men, you would have interacted with us differently but that shouldn’t ever matter. If you can’t be kind, all you really need to do is shut up and drive.

This cemetery is amazing. Impeccably kept, trees and flowers auspiciously beautiful. A garden by no ordinary means. The admin needs some attention however. We were visiting from Florida and went to check for the location of my relative on the property. Staff could not find the name in the system. I was told this is a persistent issue with this facility. Let us hope Woodlawn will recognize this as a worthy issue to be resolved for the benefit of their customers. This would make the experience of Woodlawn cemetery par excellence and most worthy of even more visits.

This is a one of a kind cemetery. The lake in the middle on the necropolis has huge fish that you are not allowed to feed. Just be careful with the guards they drive around in blue minivans. If you do get lost they will be happy to give you a lift.

I enjoyed visiting Woodlawn Cemetery. I followed the Arboretum trail and viewed some of the notable gravesites. It was interesting, scenic and peaceful.

A very peaceful, quiet and well maintained cemetery in the Bronx. Other than the cemetery employees/staff, we only saw a few people there. Some of the mausoleums are really incredible. I was surprised by how beautiful this places is.

Excellent place to change your oil in a peaceful state. The tractors and the clean, well maintained Cemetery, are your only neighbors 😇 I watched my mate take care of our vehicle's oil. It didn't take long despite the heat. Everytime a car went by a beautiful cool welcoming breeze could be felt!! 🍃🌿🌲🍀 😁😁😁😍

One of the most beautiful and well-kept cemeteries I've ever stepped foot in. A number of famous people rest here for eternity, including Miles Davis (who has the largest headstone I've ever seen), Dorothy Parker, Herman Melville, Irving Berlin, and Bat Masterson. We walked through and found everyone we wanted to see to pay our respects. People do need to slow down driving through here as it is a place of reverence. We literally saw a car going too fast, hit either a pylon or gravestone, back out quickly, and kept driving. Be sensible! These are peoples' loved ones!

Woodlawn Cemetery is a great place for walking and reflection. Here you can enjoy peace and quiet, admiring the beautiful views and well-groomed graves. There are several interesting sights on the territory of the cemetery, such as a museum and a chapel. It is also worth noting that Woodlawn Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries in the world. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and peaceful place to visit.

Very nice, low key park. The main problem with this park is there is a NYPD shooting range across the bay. This means it is never peaceful. As you try for a nice peaceful walk, it will be inundated with sounds of automatic weapons and gunfire as if you are running through a battle zone. It can be very disturbing. You can have barbecues in the picnic area. There are tennis courts, a dog park, a very nice park for all age children with an attached basketball court and bathrooms. It is kept clean and attended by the nyc parks department. There are softball/baseball areas and very close to city island.

Beautiful park with multiple recreation sites and access to the water . Orchard Beach is within the larger Pelham Bay park. You can enjoy nature, walking and biking trails within the urban environment. There are baseball fields and a track. I love it here for a walk, ride, herping and birding .

I love the nature trails all the little hikes are beautiful as are the views, unfortunately the water quality is less than desirable for swimming.

I enjoyed Pelham Bay Park. I went on the trails on Hunter Island and visited Glovers Rock. The trails were interesting and scenic. The park was quiet and peaceful during this time of year.

My favorite place to disconnect from city life. Feels like another world if you find the right hiking path. Water views, gorgeous trails, beautifully kept areas for family, tennis courts, track and bocce ball courts too (I don't even know what bocce is but I'll find out).

Pelham Bay Park is a beautiful park. The baseball/softball fields need to be cured. I say cured because I can see all these kids trying to hold practice and play ball but are limited to getting a successful training session because of all the holes and puddles it has. If they need a hand, I can volunteer and help out with the fields. I have no issue with helping that what so ever. Anything for the community and their youth.

This is an absolutely heavenly place to visit in the bronx. The skyline and water color are extreme beauty of this bay. I have visited this place with my friends and enjoyed the natural beauty.

One of the biggest park in the city of New York lots of tree and still very green, the only thing most people don’t dispose their garbage properly. Workers always tried to do there job properly, thanks to that.

Great park to go for a nature walk, it has so much to offer for everyone. They have two playgrounds, one for smaller kids and another for ages 4 and up. Lots of picnic and bbq areas. There is also a small water area past the dog park in the back which is pretty easy to miss if you’re not familiar with the park. I must say that they need to at least update the playground equipment. Pelham Bay Park has so much potential to be amazing but I don’t understand why the people in charge don’t put much into it.

Wow! Where has this very large public park been hidden for so long?! In plain site and so easy to get to and park, an outdoor day of hiking and beaches and relaxing. Many Bar B Queing going on and a nice and relaxing place to visit. And enjoy a very different view of Long Island and the Bronx. Put it on your list!!

Love this park, it’s always empty and clean bathrooms during the day time. Lots of playing options, street parking is readily available and there is even a basketball court. The cutest play space to spend an afternoon with kids and get wet int heir summer splash pad.

Outstanding trails, modest lake with resident swan couple and 4 cygnets, many water and song birds, Parade Grounds for a nice daily walk plus historic VC Mansion. Love this place.

Had a great autumn walk there! Not busy and very relaxing environment. Nice rock formations in the park also. Easy to reach with Undeground line 1 as it is next to the end point in the Bronx.

might be the Bronx best kept secret, and possibly the best park in NYC. I have ridden my bike thru the trails countless times. my kids have used the park for all the cross country race course. They have an entire golf course and horse riding stables. All together it's really epic

Wonderful ground for multiple sports, around 8-10 pitches for cricket and multiple areas to play football. We the huge dedicated parking. We played two back to back cricket games this morning. Nice and clean ground. Nice combination of wonderful ground and splendid view.

Blocks from my house this place has become my little sanctuary. No matter what season you come in the surrounding are beautiful. I enjoy the trails and ponds. Take a walk and you’ll be surprised what you see.

2023-0611 Was here for a bit on way to Wave Hill via shuttle from the 242nd Street subway. Sat the Memorial Grove. Viewed the pool. Viewed the Parade Ground. Was impressed by the signage along Broadway educating about trees.

Van Courtlandt Park is more than a beautiful park with trails, golf club, horse stable, basketball courts, pool. and playgrounds. It has a beautiful forest, lake, birds, flowers, it's nature at full view. It has history on it's grounds, trees, and museum. It's where my family and I enjoy walking and connecting with Nature.

Very nice park. Clean and inviting. Kids will be running in park for XC.

Regular at this course - love the vibe. Waiting is sometimes bad because of beginners, but rangers are approachable, keep it moving. Course layout is fun, and lets you take a few chances for a rare eagle or birdie. Closing 4 holes are the most interesting in New York City. I’ve played here walking and riding - personally I prefer walking because I get to enjoy the course, and it’s natural surroundings more. Trees play a big role in shot shaping. No dog legs as such but great many “draw” holes. Over the years, this course become my sentimental favorite. Well managed - pro shop, food and carts. Greens, tee boxes, bunkers can use some maintenance.

Growing up in NYC, didn’t realize there were so many miles of beautiful trails available right in my backyard. Spent the afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park and the trails are stunning, clean, and well maintained. Segments were isolated but saw lots of bikers. I use AllTrails religiously and even when we veer off, trail markers are there to guide me though the woodsy sections. Some trails are close to the highway but why focus on that? There are so many inside trails that take you away from the hum of the roadway that it’s not a bother- at least not to me.

What do penguins, stylus, and the big bang have to do with Poe? Found out these and more interesting facts at the Poe Cottage Museum. Limited hours on Saturdays but worth the journey uptown to experience this historic landmark and figure.

Google shows that this open Friday - IT IS NOT OPEN FRIDAY. You can contact them and arrange a private tour. It looks just like the photos from the outside. Blocked by a fence. The visitor center has nothing to do with the cottage. 3 stars for the potential of what’s on the inside. We made a special trip here, thinking it was open, so slightly disappointed. It was easy to net to from the MTA train.

This place is great, and I can't believe I waited so long to come here. I'm not the biggest fan of Poe, but I recognize the significance of his work. This house is where he wrote a few of those poems. As a kid my grandpa would always read "The Bells" at Christmas time and we learned that poem was written in this house listening to the bells from Fordham! This is a small gem worth seeing. There is currently some construction around in the park but don't let that deter you.

We finally got to visit Poe Cottage since it's been under renovation for quite a while every time I've been in the area. I really enjoy visiting historical houses and seeing how people lived back and in time. The cottage is in surprisingly good condition. It was built in 1812 and is a NYC landmark. We really enjoyed the guided tour and learning more details about Poe's life. Poe rented the house in 1846 and lived there with his wife Virginia, who was dying of tuberculosis. She died in the cottage, and they had the actual bed where she passed away. Roger, the guide, was extremely knowledgeable and a great narrator. They currently have a free Spring Poetry seminar available at the cottage.

The cottage was a neat place to visit. We walked from Gino’s Pastry shop, which is about a mile. However, the subway runs right across the street from the cottage. They have a big fence around the cottage. Really all you can do is take a picture and be on your way. Still pretty cool to see though.

I love having a piece of History in the Bronx. To know the building across the street were once apple orchards is crazy. Edgar Allan Poe was a great writer and poet and to know he wrote a few of his poems in that very cottage is nostalgic.

We were lucky to get a pretty much bespoke tour on a quiet Saturday morning in winter. Knowledgeable docents, of the author's very modest Westchester abode ( now part of the Bronx.)

Poe had the worst luck during his life and in the afterlife....his house in Baltimore sits in the middle of low-income housing developments, the house he lived in around 1846 in NY is in the middle of the Grand Concourse in the Bronx now, his headstone in Baltimore was destroyed by a runaway train....the list goes on... To think he wrote the following lines in this very house was quite endearing. "It was many and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know..."

A great slice of history for fans of Poe or just the history of the area. The cottage is well-preserved and gives a good feeling of what it like to live there. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

The Edgar Allan Poe Cottage was undergoing major restoration at the time of my visit. I intend to return once the cottage reopens, and I will re-evaluate my rating then. However, I feel more than justified in awarding four stars at this time. It is easy to forget about how much it costs to properly keep up historical residences (even small ones). In a city like New York, it would be easy to demolish this humble abode rather than keep it up. Certainly, it would likely be easier and more profitable to do so rather than preserve this scrap of history. These points are worth recognition.

The staff wasn't too friendly at all, even knowing the event was kid friendly. They were throwing the eggs at the kids and on the floor. They were storming off and having kids chase them. Some were only entertaining a particular group of people. While the environment could have been different, the concept was cute.

I don't think a lot of people know about this place and how beautiful it is to walk the garden (witch is free). Every time we go is pretty much empty. My son and I love it. But be sure to bring insect repellent.

Small (for a stately home) and interesting historic house with exceptional tour guide (but sadly today was his last day). Very peaceful property as well. Only open 3 days a week, $15 cash or card to explore the house. Grounds and parking are free.

This is one of those rare places that deserve a 5 out of 5 star rating. Bartow-Pell Mansion is so unique & beautiful with rich history & beautiful original vintage pieces housed inside the mansion from a bygone era. I was searching for things to do in NYC that are off the beaten path during my vacation from work & this place came up in 2 different articles on Google. Set in the Pelham Bay Park section of Bronx,NY this mansion & it's grounds are straight out of a movie set. The staff was very friendly & welcoming. Our tour guide Robin(if I remember her name correctly) was a sweetheart & thoroughly explained to us the history of the mansion & it's owners. There is a ton of stuff to see here. From the servant quarters to the carriage house to the absolutely stunning spiral staircase this place is mesmerizing. I took my dad with me & he thoroughly appreciated & enjoyed it as well. The museum mansion is for all age groups to young kids to older seniors & everyone in between. It also makes for a cute date spot. If you haven't checked it out already I highly recommend that you do. Entrance is $15 for adults & $13 for seniors. There is plenty of parking available in front of the mansion.

Really beautiful garden and picnic area. Very well maintained by staff. Grounds are open to the public all the time. The mansion has a $10 entrance fee. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Great place to enjoy a nice day outside

I’m a daily runner and often find my way to Pell Mansion. I run the grounds and trails but I always visit where the Treaty Oak once stood. I close my eyes and make peace within my mind and the historical ground around me. There’s something special there and it’s always a treat to come across deer which I often do at that same spot.

Known about this place for a while now. It's right in my own backyard in the Bronx about 10 minutes away. I decided to go check it out on a nice Sunday afternoon. First off, it is a little tough to find. Navigation was going a little nuts trying to find the place. Their website advises to use the Golf Club as a destination point, but even with this its tough to find. The best way to describe it is...that there is a gated entrance to the driveway of the mansion on the right along Shore Road, about 1/10 of a mile after passing the Golf Club traveling East. It may be a good idea to check out the location on Google Maps before driving there. After entering the gates the driveway leads to the mansion. There are a bunch of parking spaces, but those are sufficient according to the staff there since this place never really gets "busy". We entered the mansion and there was a young man in front collecting money. The surrounds grounds are free to tour but the mansion itself is privately owned. The fee for touring the mansion is $8 for adults and $6 for children. Though on that day, they were nice enough not to charge for my 8 year-old, so I only paid for myself. ($8) The mansion itself is interesting. Like many museums, they have lots of old items and "appliances". The difference here is that this was an actual functioning house so you can see how the rooms were divided. Small details like the call bells in the attic which ran throughout the house and common game room were interesting. Also, reading some of the writings and the language used back then was nice. There are binders in each (most) rooms with information about the items in the room which was nice. Behind the mansion is a beautiful garden. There are also a few hiking trails you can take from there. Overall we had a great time. I myself found it interested, but my 8 year-old, not as much. I would imagine if you are into history or museums, this may be a good place. The younger ones may not be as interested. All staff we encountered that day (only 2 on that particular day) were very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.

It was a lovely visit to a mansion of the early 20th century,it has a beutiful garden where you can lay for a while to read or eat something. Inside the house there are plenty of historical artifacts to look at, the only flaw was that the QR codes redirect to very heavy pdf files to read about the details of the rooms and artifacts in them, maybe it is better to read at the history at the house beforehand.

Visited mansion museum at pre-Christmas time. Most rooms are very nicely decorated. No guided tour was offered for this weekend visit. Self-guided tour brochure is poor substitute for live docent tour…

Beautiful home with friendly staff, gorgeous flora and fauna, and bay/sound views. The grounds are quiet and there's lots of room for exploration. Watch out for poison ivy though, the paths in the woods are covered with it!

Each year, during Christmas, I visit with family to see the themed Christmas trees and decorations. It is free to walk the grounds, which has a beautiful garden. Admission is required to enter the mansion, which has three floors accessible via its spiral staircase. Beautifully decorated during Christmas with trees in each room, lights, and treats in the dining room.

It is pretty cool to stand there and witness greatness before you were born, knowing your coming here for your education. I wish that there were more diverse faces that contributed to the successes of world so others ethnicity could feel a sense of pride. But it is still an amazing walk through and I'm glad I took the opportunity to explore.

This place has been accessible only to students since COVID. It's a New York City Landmark that only students can see, even though it is outdoors so little risk from COVID. It should be available to the public to enjoy and appreciate.

Cool structure, a little dated and some of the quotes are hard to read. Also not very representative of the demographic that attends the school.

This entire campus is fantastic. One look and you know it was not built as a community college. (See Bronx Community College). The walk is a stroll through American history and thought. Great scholars, generals, doctors, nurses look out at you and descriptive plaques tell you what they did. A must see in the Bronx.

A forgotten part of history. This is the original, first hall of fame. Baseball, music, ect were mere followers. Busts of great Americans. Some you know, some forgotten to history and requiring further research overlooking a view of some upper Bronx and Manhattan and the Harlem River. On a campus (once NYU) with buildings like the magnificent, circular Gould Library that would be a major tourist attraction of it was in lower Manhattan instead of The Bronx. Well worth a visit.

Bust are not very diverse. There's a few black Americans, 1-2 women, no native Americans nor Hispanics. Mainly old white men including those who fought in the Confederate army. I thought the Confederate army was the enemy and lost. Strange how the losers got a bust. The area looks beautiful nevertheless. A little walkthru with a loved one for educational purposes is a nice touch. Many movies and TV shows have filmed there. To gain access to the hall you must show valid ID to get onto campus. Campus is public but you must have permission if you are not a BCC student. Hall of Fame is located within the Bronx community college campus. Adjacent to the new library and curves around three campus buildings philosophy Hall, Gould memorial and language hall.

A sad relic of a time past, when this campus was New York University. The Hall of Fame for Great Americans is largely ignored by the Politically Correct crowd for decades now. A few monuments have been removed by revisionists. Go and visit, before they destroy more.

Somewhere in the recesses of my brain, I knew this hidden gem existed.- As a Bronx kid born and raised, I am sad to say that, I just visited the site for the first time. An extraordinary monument celebrating American genius. A country that many would say has flaws and faces many challenges, nevertheless, this historical site reminds us of the the better angels in the soul of a great nation. Let's do all we can to preserve and improve it. I will be back to visit it again.

I attended the graduation of my nephew (a proud moment) with my sisters. Outdoors slight rain Stevie Wonder, Senator Schumer and many distinguished guests. Great to attend a true family function for our future LEADERS 🙌 👍🏾 👌. A place with a lot of history. Proud of you all. You can take the man out of the city but you can't take the city out the man. Born and raised. Now living abroad. FORDHAM UNIVERSITY IS NY.

I was here for a wedding ceremony. It's a pretty church with gorgeous stained glass windows (the priest doing the ceremony said they were originally built for St. Patrick's Cathedral). A good size, not too big or too small.

Beautiful church but on University property. This is not an open campus and security will turn you away if you don't have business there. Available for private events if you call the University. Parking is in the main lot about 5 to 10 minute walk.

Judging by others' reviews, I should have asked to order a flight! But I was happy to have a Cosmic Haze since it was in high demand, & I got the final can in the place (for the time being). I've also purchased their products from elsewhere before. It was a great to relax for a few minutes in what seems to be one of the coolest places in the borough!

The beer was fresh and tasty. I wish more were on tap, but I was not disappointed by the cans. The empanadas were smaller that I thought they would be but they had a lot of flavor. The chef suggested the hangover fries and he was correct. I devoured them! Great atmosphere.

I stopped in on a rainy spring night and it was well worth it. Forgot to check the ABV on the double IPA before ordering for first beverage, but it made me happy, so no complaints. A pleasing food menu as well, I went with fried chicken sandwich which was just what I needed. Good street entertainment going on as well.

What a joke 😂 sooo it's a brewery that sells beer double the price at the venue than what you'd pay in a store 😂 the whole idea of a brewery bar is to sell your product for cheap eliminating distribution and anything else down the chain that adds up to the cost. And the food? Bahahhahah even bigger joke... finger sized food at regular pricing. Empanadas were miniscule, literally bite sized. Awful business model. I used to be a fan, buying ur beer at any location that sold it. Done. Never drinking this garbage again after having the pleasure of visiting your brewery and having the aforementioned experience... Rip-off hipster wannabes.

This place was a lot further into the Bronx than I expected but I'd go again in a heartbeat. That the beer is great goes without saying. The service was awesome too (Sean was the bartender). And I had a vegan chopped cheese that would have made the trip worth it by itself. Best nyc brewery I've been to. Six stars.

Stopped by on a rainy day and tried the pizza and the “Smile my guy”. Both were very good. I usually get the “World Gone Hazy” IPA. They had a DJ inside and nice LED lighting!

This place is an awesome brewery! 🍻 The Bronx Brewery offers a wonderful selection of homebrewed beers 🍺 and even has a wonderful empanada 🥟 truck called Empanology which serves a delicious 🤤 variety of empanadas! Definitely try the Dessert 🍰 Empanada with a red velvet filling and powdered sugar! The staff 👨‍🍳 is friendly and the service is quick. ⏲️ They have lots of indoor seating 🪑 and outdoor seating which host live shows and events 🎭 (like poetry 🎼 slams and painting 🖌️). I wish I knew about this place earlier!

Best beer, delicious empanadas, and most incredible service I’ve experienced in NYC for a long time. Cannot recommend this place enough. We had the pleasure of meeting Jason the chef and trying every single empanada. The chicken, shrimp, and pork are phenomenal - highly recommend asking for their several dipping sauces to add flavor. My girlfriend and I also had a beer flight each, all were so flavorful and great - cosmic haze and Escapism were the top ones (thank you Ariana the bartender for recommendations). We wrapped up with a quick tour of the brewery and saw the cool backyard even though it was closed being off season. Overall, this place is an absolute gem. If you haven’t been, run. And if you’ve been, go again - I know I will.

This place was awesome! We came when they had Gladiators NYC and it was so much fun! Our group got pizza, empanadas, and all different types of beers and everything was great!! Roberto gave the best recs make sure to ask for him !

This is my happy place. I can’t explain how important that is but let’s just say I’m somewhat of a grinch. This place makes me the happiest and most tranquil and that’s even before the beer. From aesthetics, vibes, games, food and alcohol this place is the absolute BEST. - Bronx Brewery BX location!

In 1258 the Van Cortlandt House was built by early Dutch settlers called Yonkerfolkin. True to life it is the most important permanent settlement in New York. DJ Red Alert plays here on Tuesday afternoons

Beautiful old trees, lovely grounds to walk around and get away from the brick apartments. Pretty flower bed to pose pictures by. From June-Sept there are goats eating the overgrown areas in back. They close the gates at 4 but surrounding park is open later.

A nice place to go if you are in the area. Great for a date or with family. You can learn a bit of history with a self guided tour. It's not to big so you don't have to spend too much time there. Hours are a bit limited, so check before you go. You can also make a reservation ahead of time. Affordable $5 for adults and free for kids under 12 years old. You can enjoy the park afterwards. Food choices in the area are limited.

This is a beautiful house that has lots of history. Once you reserve, you can walk through it alone or with a guide. We were the only ones touring and went without a tour guide so it was as if we were visiting an open house. Tickets are free if you have a NYC ID

The guides here are passionate and the whole building is fascinating. On our tour a few people left early because of the heat (the house has no AC) so if you are super sensitive be warned, it is also not handicap accessible. BUT I totally recommend a visit (honestly the heat is not even that bad)

Very historical site but the building and landscape around is a great spot to visit. Beautiful sunny day with a lot of athletics going on in the park. Caught a bit of a cricket match! $5 for adults children under 12 free

I think there are more secrets that are not publicly stated. Perhaps an underground tunnel leading to the bay? I hope one day they can open the basement for visitors. The third floor was very spooky where the slaves used to sleep.

Came in today for 1 thing, however Kurt was my Apple specialist who assisted me with all my shopping needs. I couldn’t really decide what I wanted and his salesmanship sold me on working smarter not harder. He was very patient and informative and helpful. He also went above and beyond to seek for a lead Shuhad assistance’s to clarify some information regarding a product I was purchasing. Both gentlemen who help me with my experience today was amazing.

If you’re coming to pick up, know it’s a little chaotic. First - be sure you check in with someone. (One person will tell u to do that first, but maybe another day they’ll be doing it differently - who knows. It’s not well organized or communicated.) Then get in line. You may have to find the person to check you in, but they’ll be lingering around. It’s not well organized, as the reviews reflect. But the line moves quickly enough.

Visited this location and waited for about 15 minutes while advisors stood around. Finally, I overheard one of the advisors say “did you speak to that one?” to his colleague. Of course the advisor didn’t realize that he was heard. I said “actually no one has gotten to me yet”. Not sure if that’s how you’re supposed to refer to customers but whatever. Moving forward, I present a pair of AirPods that I obtained second-hand. My purpose was to verify authenticity. The first advisor, of course, was not knowledgeable and insisted that the AirPods were authentic. It wasn’t until I kept pressing the issue that the second advisor stepped in. He, too, claimed that the AirPods looked authentic. Again, I continued to press the issue. He then asked if I wanted him to check via his iPad. Once connected, the iPad displayed different codes which led the advisor to deem the pair inauthentic. There’s no reason why that wasn’t the first thing done. Please do better.

It is an absolute disgrace to Apple and their brand that they have employees here walking around that do not provide adequate customer service. Literally over half of the employees are completely unapproachable and have a disgusting demeanor, attitude, and overall presentation. They are clearly here for the money only and whatever discounts Apple has to offer. One employee in particular acts like he owns the place and treats women way more favorably over men. Please act like a real and responsible employee and man, do your job, and don't be upset because you are not where you want to be in life and thus take it out on other people. Over 5 hours for a simple battery replacement for an iPhone. Only to get my phone back with a big crack in the side of the screen and not even fully charged in terms of battery. I suggest Apple carefully screens their employees and actually employ people who care about provide top-quality customer service. Never returning!

The staff at this location can be very difficult, I understand dealing with people is tough but if you don’t have the patience of understanding then just don’t work here. Other staff members are pleasant and helpful, always going above and beyond to get your situation sorted.

Went here to purchase a iPhone 15 in cash was expecting it to be a In and out experience ended up waiting 30 mins with no employees helping me with what I needed to do! Ended up going to T-Mobile instead this place needs better customer service for sure.

Super busy without discounted prices on holidays, so come prepared to wait for hours and feel a little heat while you're at it. They do provide marvelous customer service so get all of your data transferred before trading in any device. Thanks in advance.

This Brand new Apple Store just opened up 9/24/2021! This is a huge deal for The Bronx because the Bronx is the only borough in NYC that never had an Apple Store! The Apple Store is very clean, modern and the employees are very nice! People who live in Co-Op City can walk here easily for all their Apple needs!

Apart from providing marvelous customer service be sure that you come ready to sweat & wait. It is best if you transfer all of your data to the new device before erasing and factory resetting. This process takes extra time but is imperative to your apple health.

was told to walk in when I called due to one of my AirPod pros didn’t work after the update 17.2 on my iPhone they were working fine I barely use them at all went to the store loads of employees just walking around looking dumb and lost finally I spoke to someone told them I was told to come in she checked said I don’t see anything didn’t check my AirPods told me I have to pay $89 per headphones if it blew out and she also stated they blow out all the time I said I can count on my hand how many times I used them still dumb look told me to take a walk and I will be text in 3 hrs for service. Apple products suck and they make them knowing they will mess up after a few updates but then wanna charge you and have all these teens not taking care of customers at all just talking to one another making jokes sad ..
