Great beach however erosion and hurricanes have really done a number on this beach. The dunes are now at ground level. Palm trees, sea grasses and debris litter the sand.

A great beach, family friendly with plenty of handicap parking as well as accessibility ramps to the beach and bathrooms. Rocks in some areas, good for shark tooth searching.

A pristine beach located off the beaten path with plenty of spots to claim a peaceful day. A long walk if your planning to come without a boat, There is a ferry that takes people back and fourth from the South Venice yacht club. Found lots of shark teeth and the sand was blazing hot. Make sure you have some adequate sun protection.

One of the lesser known beaches of the area, but if you know of shark teeth then you definitely know of Caspersen! This beach is so fun because it’s so unique- there are lots of rocks right along the shore like and a huge walkway across the sand, making for some great views! There are lots of shells to be found, not even just shark teeth but a large array of other conchs, scallops and really good ones! If you want to find teeth, though, I suggest you bring either a rake or some kind of straining/ scooping element because otherwise they are super difficult to find. You also need to find the right spot, so if you’re not finding any, keep on moving and don’t give up! Caspersen also has some bathrooms and rinse stations, but beware of parking because it can get tough- so great there EARLY or get there late- the in between may have you driving around quite a bit!

As a beach lover I would put this beach in the top 10 Beaches of my favorite beaches I have seen in the United States. Not that I am a avid beach traveler although my favorite beaches are in the Caribbean. Yesterday 03/13/2023 was one of the most perfect days with the weather, slight breeze and water I have ever had in all my visits to the beach. It was a perfect 80 degrees with no humidity and a small breeze blowing off from the ocean . As I sat in the water edge ~ looking for “ Shark Teeth” I was amazed at the “ turquoise water” that glistened with the sun rays, beaming down off of the water and bouncing up on my face. This would bring serenity to anyone’s soul …. The pictures I took are not edited and are taking with the simple feature of a iPhone 11~ .

This is a great place to go shark tooth hunting, as well as to lay out in the sun due to the black sands intensifying the heat. You would need to get here super early though, because the shark tooth hunters are often territorial, and parking can be a little hit or miss if you arrive after 8:00

I went on Sunday morning and there were over 2 dozen people sifting through the beach looking for sharks teeth. They were spread out the whole length of the beach (over 2 miles ). The sand is fine and is not rocky except for shells in various amounts throughout. It isn't too busy and has plenty of space so you don't have to be on top of other people. Great place to take the kids or to relax without a lot of hassle around you. Free parking is great.

Nice beach. Originally very rocky then a little south and very sandy. LOTS of shells. Easy access. You have to go worth the trip. I bicycled there from legacy trail.

Awesome place to come hang out. There is a rental person on the beach that charges $50 for an umbrella and 2 chairs that you can keep until 5:30pm. They also offer 50% of each item after that. If your lucky you can get a shady spot under the pier to setup camp. The sand is HOT!! Just a heads up with small children. This is not quartz crystal like siesta key or lito. The sand here is spicy! The swimming is awesome and the sharks teeth and other rare finds are even better. There is small shop by sharksys that sells a few items otherwise checkout the bait shop on the pier. They have $1 icey pops and $1 soda and water which is dirt cheap compared in the shops.

A good spot for fishing and a beautiful beach. Parking can be busy and if you want to eat at the restaurant, reserve ahead of time.

Venice Fishing Pier I think is a good pier for walking ..... my opinion as a fisherman I think is very high on the level of the of the sea ...I really enjoyed the beach in the sides instead where the gulf sea looks clean and the seabed has many changes of depth. the vegetation behind the beach is really lovely and the sand is coarse and slightly dark grain. to fish advice to avoid weekends or daytime hours because people’s bathing is constant

One of the most beautiful places in gulf of Florida. I love this pier especially the restaurant Fins. Gentleman, this is a perfect place to take the lady for a beautiful sunset. I highly recommend it to anyone ! I have yet to fish here but would love too

Great place to fish, boat watch, and look for shark’s teeth under the pier. You can see for a couple of miles up and down the coast. There’s a great little rental shop between Sharky’s and Finn’s for chairs, umbrellas, and shifters (needed for finding shark’s teeth) and anything else you might need for your beach day.

We visited the Venice Fishing Pier with some friends during a vacation in Florida. We didn’t do any fishing, but the experience was still amazing. We walked to the end of the 700-foot long pier and enjoyed the turquoise and blue water and the exansive views of the beach in both directions. If you're hungry before or after your visit, you can always stop in at Sharky's restaurant for a bite to eat, right at the foot of the pier. And, if you enjoy photography, the pier provides plenty of opportunity for amazing photos.

This is probably the most popular spot on the Gulf coast of Florda for mile in either direction. It has a huge, wonderful restaurant at the pier with ample parking, easy to drive to, wonderful sunsets, a pier with a structure that is perfect for under the pier photos. You can walk for mikes up and down the beach. Great sand, great food, great tunes, great vibe, great facilities. I've been coming to Florida for over 20 years and have seen both coast. This is pretty much my favourite.

So my first time at Venice Beach fishing pier we came here looking for sharks teeth it was a little disappointing didn't find any sharks teeth it could have just been the day or the weather or the tide we went during low tide wasn't many people on the beach cuz it was so foggy the pier there were some people fishing on the pier to pierce nice looks like some restaurants around looks a little tourist trappy you know what I mean but it's something to do in Venice I guess but I found the street we had better luck yesterday over at Manasota Key Beach looks like a nice place to hang out so anyways if you're in Venice are you visiting the west coast city have nothing to do and it's a bright sunny day and you want to go hit the beach absolutely looks like there was a lot of fishermen here catching fish the restaurants were open so I didn't have a chance to try any restaurants or any food over there so it looks like a pretty safe place to stay and if you want to go and get some shells and get some sharks teeth you know I'll also post some pictures of a gentleman's selling jewelry outside nice guy

Venice Fishing pier is an awesome fishing pier. You won't believe the size if hammerheads that have been caught here. If you are a Florida fisherman and haven't been here, you are missing out. These waters off Venice are ancient shark breeding grounds. That's why Venice is so well known for finding shark teeth on the beach. Divers often find megalodon teeth here as well. Even if you don't fish, this is something to see. You can have lunch at Sharkey's and take a stroll out on the pier.

Beautiful spot to visit any time of day & year! The views out over the water are perfect for a nice stroll and especially at sunset time! It's also a great place to take photos above or below the Pier for a one of a kind backdrop! Another favorite place I like to take clients to capture family, engagement & senior shots!

Several people recommended this place to us while visiting. The view outside is beautiful and the staff are great. The food is good and there is a good variety of foods to choose from including healthier items. Their seating system was a little confusing we went from one hostess stand to another and we weren’t sure what we were doing. I do recommend sitting outside for the views of the beach and pier. They brought warm pumpkin bread while we waited for our food and we really enjoyed it. I ordered the black bean burger and hubby ordered the French dip. It was a nice day and we would visit again.

The seafood nachos were amazing, and were loaded with crab and shrimp. Good size for 3 to 4 people. The frozen drinks were refreshing. The atmosphere adds a lot of value. A great place to take in the sunset. There was live music, so it made for a nice and fun night out!.

Was it our first time in Venice, and we drove to try this restaurant at the beach. They have tables upstairs, but we decided to eat downstairs. We loved the food and atmosphere and this beach is beautiful. I ordered fish and chips, and I loved the fried calamari, one of the best. Fresh and delicious food

Typical pricey tourist trap, but worth it. The folks who run the t-shirt concession were great, super friendly , and Informative about the layout of the place and how to avoid some of the herding at the restaurant line. (Plus they can rent you a shark-tooth-finder-thingamajig for a few bucks and your ID) Great view from the beach, from the pier, and even some of the bar/restaurant seating. We went multiple times on a 4 day stay😊

Very popular beach side restaurant and bar with a great vibe. Be prepared to wait to find parking and for a table inside or out especially on weekends. The service is friendly and swift, the food was terrific as usual.. clam chowder, fried shrimp, salad, chicken fingers. A little expensive but worth it!

We have eaten a Sharky’s many times over the decades of living here unimpressed, decided to try again and glad we did! We ordered the Caribbean Conch Fritters, the were good. We also ordered the Cabo Calamari. The calamari was the best we’ve ever had and we order it everywhere. It was so tender, not chewy at all, juicy, HOT!, fresh, and a HUGE portion! It was piled so high I expected the ones under to be soggy. Nope, still so HOT they were steaming and CRUNCHY underneath! Recommend getting a side of the sauce to dip in. It is delicious. Definitely a generous app for four priced for two! Picture is of maybe half left and still piled on the plate! Service excellent. Can’t beat the view.

We went in to catch a quick dinner after the beach and fishing on the pier. The restaurant a clean and pretty busy considering it was a Tuesday at 530. We ordered the clam chowder, blackened grouper platter and fried shrimp basket. Unfortunately it was not my favorite meal. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. I did enjoy my husbands fried shrimp, the side quinoa salad can we just live and their bread basket. The clam chowder tasted too much like cream for my taste and I wasn't a fan of the blackened seasoning on the grouper. The staff was wonderful and the view was very nice too. I would go back but would probably try something else on the menu

Let’s be truthful here, you pay for the atmosphere and the views. The food is good but not great, but the sunset is amazing. As for what to eat, the fried shrimp are the best thing on the menu. They have a few grouper options as well, but I’ve never been a big fan of theirs. Sweet potato fries are decent but we like to dip ours in honey mustard and theirs is just weird. Their yellowish orange lighting at night also makes everything and everyone look odd.

Enjoyed lunch here while in the area visiting a friend and had a great meal. The wait wasn't terribly long and once we were seated, our spicy bloody Mary and Virgin colada were on point. The bread was a nice treat and a nice change from typical chips and salsa at other dining venues. I ordered the tofu rice bowl with grilled tofu. Very good portion. A little more seasoning on the tofu would really dress the dish well. Overall, everything was great. And honestly, how can you go wrong when you're on the coast! Beautiful day, great food and amazing views!

For a place on the beach it has a very nice selection of interesting food. They also have the standard fare and is a little bit pricey but that's what you get on the beach. I had the shiraki chicken sandwich and left a little to be desired. You couldn't really taste the sauce. The price bowl with tofu was very good according to my daughter. And the linguine with shrimp on it was very delicious.

We had nice family dinner here. The day was a little too overcast for a bright sunset as we had hoped, but it was still extremely beautiful. Our server wasn’t particularly nice, not that he did anything specifically wrong, he just made us feel a little like our needs were a burden. I’m guessing he was just having a bad shift and we caught him at the wrong time. The only thing that I would have changed, would have been adding a seafood-less Alfredo option to the menu. My father in law wanted to order the Alfredo but it’s chicken and shrimp, when he asked if it could be made without the shrimp or if the shrimp could be placed on the side, we were told that wasn’t possible. After wanting Alfredo it’s pretty hard to pivot to a new dish, and it doesn’t seem like a huge task for the kitchen to offer one without shrimp, especially with so many shellfish allergies around. My husband ordered the lobster roll after asking the server if he recommended it, and was disappointed by it. It didn’t have much flavor and the lobster was super shredded instead of the usual larger chunks you would find in a traditional lobster roll. It did have half a claw in the mix though.😂 The crab cake on my salad was less shredded than the lobster in his sandwich. So I do not recommend ordering that. Lol. My salad was absolutely delicious, I ordered the Boathouse Salad with a crab cake. Overall we did enjoy our time at the restaurant and would definitely return, we’d just need to navigate the menu better next time around.

My husband and I knew we wanted to visit Sharky's while visiting Venice! Definitely recommend! The food was yummy and the staff was awesome! Not to mention the view of the pier! Make sure you get there early though. It gets full very quick!

Hands down the best beach bar and restaurant I have ever been to. We stopped there after renting bikes from Kind Vibes Outfitters. We had shrimp nachos and really good locally made non-alcoholic beer. If I didn't live in Maine I would be there all the time!

Great location. Decent food and excellent service when we were there. It's a fun place to go. The beach and pier are beautiful. However, having said all that. During peak season, the place is almost always slammed with people. An hour or more wait for a table is not out of the question. Sometimes you get lucky and the wait is less, but don't count on that. Also, there is a ton of parking but it is never enough. If you have elderly members in your party, definitely consider valet parking. Definitely give it a chance, just expect a longish, beachy, sandy Florida day

First of all the waitress was amazing! The lobster stuffed flounder was really good! The Sriracha chicken sandwich was probably the best chicken sandwich I've ever had! It wasn't even super spicy and it had really great flavor! Hands down I recommend these two dishes and this restaurant in general! 10/10

Perfect! We were greeted by two friendly, efficient hostesses and waited 30 minutes for a table... which was reasonable to us. Our waitress was outstanding, cheerful...offered suggestions and let us take our time. We felt like valued patrons!!! (Looking forward to another visit, it was a chilly, windy February evening!)

My friends and I decided to visit Sharky's for a late lunch/early dinner and it was an absolutely delightful experience! We didn't have a reservation, but the wait was quite reasonable - we were seated within 30 minutes despite the place being quite busy. The menu selection was impressive and everything we ordered was delicious. We all shared calamari, onion rings, and a unique dish of shrimp on top of nachos, which was a hit amongst us. We also enjoyed the classic fish and chips and the ahi tuna, both of which were cooked to perfection. The service at Sharky's was commendable; our server was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. But what truly sets this place apart is its ambiance – the restaurant is located right on the beach near the pier, offering breathtaking views that enhanced our dining experience significantly. Overall, our visit to Sharky's was wonderful. I would definitely go again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food with a view. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Sharky's is a must-visit for an unforgettable meal by the gulf.

Went looking for fresh seafood and managed to catch a beautiful sunset all in the same visit. Staff super friendly, food tasty and very filling. Try the bread pudding while you are there, it is amazing! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I loved this restaurant 😍 I would go again without a doubt. Unfortunately, I don't live in the area but it's a nice place to visit when you are at Venice, FL. I visited this place with my friends for January 1st. We arrived around noon and it was not very crowded. It started to get crowded around 2 PM. Perhaps cuz people woke up late after the New Year's party? 🥳 🤷🏻‍♀️ The food was very good 👍 I order an order of fish taco 🌮 with rice. The rice was a cold and sweet dish for my surprise, but I enjoyed it a lot since I like sweet flavors 😉 The service was very friendly and the best of the place was the view of the beach 🏖️ After our meal we walked on the pier which is just some steps away. It was a wonderful way to start 2024 😁 🥂

Amazing restaurant, all of the staff we interacted with were friendly and approachable. Everyone seemed happy to be there. it was very busy upon arrival but there is plenty of first come first serve seating around the area. we ended up finding a cute spot with an awesome view of the water and sunset around the back. service was very quick and friendly. the food was outstanding! definitely will be back.

It’s a good place to watch sunset. It’s noisy here because of how busy this place gets, but you can enjoy live music. The food was really good. I was surprised the sea food was not over fried which is rare at restaurants like this.

Only had to wait 20 minutes to get a table. Loved eating lunch outside under the umbrella. Ordered a rice bowl with crab cake. Looked like a small serving but turned out to be enough lunch. I also enjoyed the piña colada which was a great addition to my meal. Service was friendly. A fun experience!

Smaller dog beach area than some other areas, but plenty of room. Great parking and plenty of it. Plenty of dog bag dispensers and trash cans, very clean. Double gated fences to keep dogs from running off. Separate small and large dog fenced play areas. Some of the best shell hunting I've seen.

What a hidden gem! I had no idea the surrounding parks didn't allow dogs until I arrived with my pup in tow. So I found this dog park tucked in. I thought I would have to find somewhere else but this park and beach was PERFECTION! The people are so nice. I brought my 3lb toy Yorkie and was able to let her be off-leash on the beach. It was great! That's not always possible when dogs of all sizes are present but the owners of the dogs were all very considerate and had great control of their pups. The dogs are friendly, the restrooms are clean. The beaches and park is clean and not littered with garbage or animal waste. It's beautiful. This is a beautiful area with wonderful facilities and incredible people and the sweetest pups! I can't wait to come back!

Awesome dog park and beach. Dogs are able to run loose on the beach and most of the fur-parents that were there were really responsible and respectful of the others who were there. One bit of advice especially if like myself you're used to white sand beaches, don't kick your shoes off at the end of the boardwalk! There is a lot of black to this sand and it gets HOT!!!😄

This is a great dog beach! There are three RV parking spots available too. When I went here, the dogs were very well behaved. There are stations to wash the sand off your feet and 2 hoses to wash off your dog by the parking lot/entrance.

This was our first time visiting Brohard Paw Park it is a dog park along with a trail that goes to the dog beach. The park has plenty of waste stations, water and a house to wash the salt water and sand off your pet and plenty of area for them to run and play. Our puppy loved being able to play with other dogs and they had two different play areas for large and small dogs. She took to swimming right away, but she wasn’t crazy about the boogie board. Everyone was pretty considerate and watched their dogs. We will be back. 😊🐶🐾 Happy doggie, happy family.

Wonderful place to take your dogs. People are great, dogs just having fun and a very clean area for your dog to play on the beach or just relax by the water. Great view of the pier. Couldn't ask for a bitter dog friendly beach.

Love this place! Always super clean, owners are very diligent and keep it that way. Always friendly people and pups alike. Great facilities on the way in/out to get dogs rinsed off etc. Bathroom/changing area always clean as well. Our newest pup LOVES the water so we'll be here often. Pics included for cuteness 😍

Loved this beach experience! The water was beautiful and all the different dogs hanging out with their owners was a great way to spend the day. Bring water for your furry friend, but they have plenty of poop bags and a trash cans, and also a dog wash off area back at the entrance to get the sand and salt water off before heading home.

Pretty amazing for a public park. Lots of entrances and exits, fresh water for the dogs and a bathing station for two dogs. Came in the morning when the waves were small. Water was warm and 95% of the people were very friendly. But it's a dog park, so you get the usual dog park people and behaviors.

We loved visiting the paw park and the beach! It was such a nice area and had so many great dogs. The area is kept nice and clean, even with the stinky sulfur walk from the park to the beach, it is worth it!! My dog loves the water and had a great time each visit!

We visited for the first time last week and my dogs absolutely loved it and so did we! Beautiful beach to enjoy the sunset with your pups. There are restrooms nearby just next to the parking lot then you walk through the dog park area to get to the beach where you have a designated area to stay in with your dogs. We did see a couple dogs get a little too worked up and it was an unaltered young male dog that was a pretty big energetic guy and some screaming was involved. There are so many dogs off leash this is truly only a place for friendly well behaved dogs as there were multiple dogs running up to mine to play. My dogs were more excited to see the people there instead of the other dogs haha We will definitely be going back :)

Between 2005 - 2015 my parents took their border collie to this beach frequently without any issue. This place was a gem! With population growth in the area, this dog beach now seems to be far more populated, with that A LOT of dogs off leash, some of which are unmonitored and not in control by their owners. Last week when visiting family in the area we took our dog (an older blue heeler) to the paw park beach for the first time. He was on leash and we intentionally did not take him in the areas where large populations of dogs were running around off leash. Despite us being in a quieter corner of the beach, with him under a shaded beach tent, on leash, close to us, an unattended off leash dog attacked our dog and our pup got two puncture wounds on his face before we could separate them. The owner, who subsequently grabbed and hit her dog, refused to give contact information, did not apologize, and fled the beach. I contacted the police, who didn't seem even slightly surprised to be getting a call from this dog beach, and upon sharing in a facebook Venice FL Community group (who subsequently removed the post as according to the admin they 'don't try people in their group') over 100 people responded within a few hours that their dog has been attacked or they have witnessed dogs get injured, people get bit, dog owners who were not accountable, and even dog deaths at this beach in recent years. I feel terrible I brought my dog to this beach and we will never return unless the beach became a safer environment and there is more responsibility exhibited from owners. It is a dangerous, over-populated, unpredictable environment for dogs. Especially dogs that are timid, reactive, or you wish to remain on leash.

We LOVE IT here! My bf and I have been brining his fur babies here 6mos now. It's always fun and the dogs have an excellent time.

We had a lot of fun here with our pups. This beach is clean and beautiful, all of the dogs were friendly and well behaved. Everything about the area was really nice, we will be back!

We brought our one year old Boston Terrier- She loved it!! We kept her on leash (a long 50 footer) because doesn’t always come when called. Most dogs were off leash. Big variety of dogs running and playing. We’ll go back for sure.

I felt like I was in heaven. So many dogs. The people were all so friendly and let me play with their dogs as well. The Beach was clean, boardwalk was well kept, bathrooms were also cleaned. Wish there were nearby restaurants. But It was nice to be able to pack a lunch and enjoy a day at the beach. It's close to a little airport 🛫 so it was fun to watch the planes taking off. I would highly recommend this park to any dog lover

Love this store for produce, meats and fish. Everything is fresh and nicely displayed. Yes, the store can get crowded, that’s because you can’t beat the prices.

Venice location This place is a Parking obstacle course. And the aisles a like running through a blockade! Forget the deli counter. That’s a tragic wait. It’s like this when it’s snowbird season. Only time to go during season to avoid the pandemonium is when the doors open ( line expected) or when the doors are about to close. This location has recently taken over the store that was next to it adding more space. This particular area would be best served either in a much larger facility or a second location south. The area has overgrown its population. This store cannot support the surrounding communities. Best produce, excellent meat and fish. Great sales.

This place is amazing and offers you great selections for fresh foods and seafood. We had never visited before until this trip down and will be regulars from now on. We got fresh fish for dinner with friends the other night and even went back two days later to get more. Parking is a little tough with the new changes along the trail but worth the little bit of trouble to get the great options and wonderful service. 5 stars and we are new customers for life.

First time here and boy, what a great store! Their meat, produce and bakery are on point. I would compare them to Dave's in New England which is a huge compliment.

Hands down- best grocery store I've ever been to!! Fresh fresh fresh produce, a pineapple machine that cuts the pineapple for you, seafood at half the price of the local fish market, incredibly nice staff and customers and to top it off as a first-time customer I even got a free scoop of ice cream!!

Great produce and meats also fish and poultry.Hope you can keep your prices moderate and reachable to many who appreciate you. Place a bit tight could use more space, but it might take away the ambiance! I enjoy that farmers market feel!

Not your average grocery store. Excellent display of veggies and fruit. Fresh meat, fish and sausages with very good prices. Wonderful looking baked goods. It's not Trader Joe's but is kind of similar in uniqueness. Think it will become my primary grocery store going forward.

I love your selection of fresh produce. Unfortunately, the parking lot is a disaster. People park anywhere. Creating spaces that aren't specific spaces due to lack of parking. Trying to get in the store, you get shoved and pushed while people are trying to get out the same door. I can't believe the fire marshal allows one door for in and out. If there was ever a fire, people would be trampled trying to get out. You can't shop without someone raming their cart into because the store is overwhelming crowded. You have great products, but you need a bigger location before someone gets seriously injured, just trying to buy groceries. Please consider moving into the old Albertsons building. It's plenty big enough and has adequate parking with both entrance and exit . Peoples lives are worth more than your greed for profit.

It's like being at the West Side Market in Cleveland Ohio on a Saturday morning. Great products. Good prices. Customer service..... well that's hit or miss and oddly enhances the experience! Enjoy!

This place is amazing!! All produce fresh and BIG!!! I will say this place is very crowded on a week day so I can only imagine how weekends are. At the checkout we saw a Bavarian pretzel and obviously had to get it and we all devoured it immediately in the car!

We do about 90% of our food shopping here. Great product selection and very fair prices. Wide variety of produce including some exotics. Well staffed. It takes a little effort picking through the produce to find undamaged specimens but your effort will be rewarded. Deli service and variety is outstanding. People are very helpful and customer focused. The store can get very crowded at times and parking can be a challenge. Also on offer - fresh seafood, great ice cream, in store bakery, prepared foods, snacks and other grocery items.

This place has a lot of options and typically cheaper then the main chain grocery stores. However, do NOT come on a weekend. It is way to crowded. I couldn’t even go down an isle without someone running into me or being in someone’s way. I was also bummed that there is very little organic options and no real organization for where the organic options would be. If you come, come during the week. They also have a little section inside for made to order options. Fresh amish bakery too!

I shop here pretty exclusively for fish, meat and produce. I find everything fresh and reasonably priced for the quality. I feel the veggies and fruits are more from local sources or trustworthy partners and not overly treated and grown for unnatural shelf life. I shop more frequently and am very happy with the products and people at detwilers.

First time visiting while driving through Venice. The pork loin held its shape, very tender. Great selection of fruits and vegetables. Looking forward to trying the other items I bought. The cherry turnovers were also yummy.

Purchased a smoothie today after shopping for fruits, long wait which was not a big deal, but what was a big deal was watching the person (she had a scarf covering her hair/head) handling the prep, she initially had gloves on that touched the register and money prior, she then placed all ingredients in blender, after which, she removed her gloves and wiped her nose with both bare hands, never washing her hands, proceeded to hit “on” button for blender, and poured in a cup. I was grossed out, wanted to tell her but I’m not normally confrontational, so I let it be. But I could not get myself to enjoy my smoothie after that (not too hygienic), so I threw away $7 or so worth of smoothie, what a waste.

We saw Reefer Madness the musical. It was very good. Quite enjoyable and entertaining. The production and actors were many levels above what I was expecting. I'm not a theater goer but I will definitely be going again. As far as I'm concerned it was NOT over priced by anybody standards and is an excellent choice of something different to do ,rather than the same old humdrum choices.

RUN don't walk to get your tickets for the Marvelous Wonderettes! From the stars, to the amazing sets and costumes, this show made me smile, chair dance and reminisce. All eyes on Alyssa Goudy!! Thank you for taking me back to a time in my life where Disco reigned and the memories of time with my late husband flooded me. Thank you Christopher for directing an awesome show!

Another good show!! Masks are worn at All times while on their premise. Lobby is open for drinks but you are not allowed to bring them into the show now at this time. Great theater and venue. Parking was free, close and orderly getting in and out. Staff was very helpful. Not a bad seat in the house. We were last row in the balcony and could see and hear everything. We saw To Kill a Mockingbird and it was fantastic. Actors, set were great. Tickets were incredibly affordable for such a high quality production.

A lovely, small theater venue with a fine, rotating schedule that features live entertainment of the musical and theatrical variety. Seating is comfortable. They have a bar with a surprisingly varied menu and you're welcome to take your beverages into the theater. Music filled the main reception area when we were there and the performance of To Kill a Mockingbird was pretty well sold out. The acting was of solid quality for the size of the venue. There are two theaters in the facility: one larger than the other, and judging by the posters hanging about the main entry, there are improvements coming to the facility. If you're looking for live theater in the Venice area for sensible prices, then you need look no further.

First time visit on Saturday November 2, 2919 to see Mama Mia. Sound quality is great and the theatre is small enough that any seat is probably a good one. I was in second row and super close to the stage. Very enjoyable and quaint theater.

I took my daughter and my granddaughters to see Addams family last night and it was fabulous!! Please go see this play. You will not be disappointed! This was a10 star show! Standing ovation to the cast and crew! Don't be surprised if you see us there Sunday to see the play again.

This theater is a cultural gem! It offers a variety of plays and concerts. Season subscriptions and single ticket prices are available online, email or by phone call, with no additional charges. Prices are very reasonable. Box office is not open for walk-up sales. Gift certificates and student prices are available. Presently, masks are optional but strongly suggested. Snacks and cocktails are sold before shows and during intermission. A recent World Fest drew theater group performances from all over the world. Venice Theater offers "great stories well played." Check it out.

Just saw Calendar Girls. Cast and show was AMAZING! So glad we are able to support such a fantastic landmark in our community.

Great place with plenty of character off the beaten path. Good food, live music, plenty of outside seating. Pulled pork & chicken tacos, homemade chips, chicken strips, fried okra, sweet potato fries, pork sandwiches were all great. There are several parking areas, so keep driving around if its busy and you'll find a spot. Bring cash for a tip for the band when they pass the hat around. First timers: Don't worry; keep driving and you'll get there.

Pure atmosphere. To get there you travel up a terrible dirt road under a canopy of trees, which is awesome, and at first terrifying, but the road opens up to a bunch of small cabins, the restaurant, and a brackish river with a boat tour, performing stage, trees and raccoons. Yup, raccoons. The food is ridiculously good and well prepared. The Smokey Joe nachos are the best on Earth, there is also a Taco version of this that is crazy good, get a side of their homemade coleslaw and add a bit to every other bite. Everything pulled there is insane, plus, the secluded, rustic back in time vibe makes everything even better. Go there. NOW!

Fun spot to get a bite to eat, enjoy a cold beer and listen to a live band. Glorious way to spend an afternoon. The salad was huge and pulled pork sandwich was melt in your mouth tender. The pork is smoky and perfectly seasoned. And, oh my goodness, the homemade chips are not to be missed. Had the best Saturday just sitting around this super comfortable low key Florida location. Down a bumpy gravel road but so worth the trip!

Food was good! Saw a huge alligator! My only complaint was I wanted the cowboy burger ordered the 1/2 lb burger by accident. You would think they would ask which burger (Lost a few bucks more on the better burger) Band was great! Nice time! Recommend this place!

Please try this restaurant when you are visiting Venice! I highly recommend the barbecue plate. We normally order 3 different meat (pork, ribs, brisket). They are so delicious. You can choose 2 sides, and we ordered collard green and baked beans. They are also the best!

Food was prepared very quickly. The shrimp tacos were very crunchy and delicious. They had a little kick to them. The brisket was also good, although the portions were on the smaller side. Fried green tomatoes were crunchy and the sauce was very tasty.

This place has a lot of character. Definitely an authentic Florida experience. The food was prepared quickly, tasted great and felt completely home cooked (nothing from cans and whatnot). You can enjoy live music here while you eat, as well as take a boat trip after your meal. Fun place to bring visitors.

What a neat stop! We really felt like we were on the Bayou. The live music was perfectly fitting. The food was good unfortunately the seating was a little difficult because it was so busy. Lunchtime was a bear on the weekends. Plan to get there early or you’ll get sent away because of no parking. All in all a good time and experience.

Great, rustic heart of Florida vibe. Fun joint with great wait staff and live music. Buried in the oaks with the moss hanging along the Myakka river is a great feel. Smoked salmon tacos were enjoyable and surprisingly good side dishes like the beans and rice. Burger looked great and tasted very good as well. Lots of BBQ options. Most sandwiches came with house made chips. Beverages are in bottles.

What a pleasant place to have a bite to eat. 1st the people working are so nice and friendly. I felt very welcome. It has an old Florida feel. It sits along the river where people kayak, canoe and boat tours take place. The food was delicious. I had pulled pork, pulled chicken, collards and coleslaw which was all good. My partner had Salmon with baked beans and asparagus. she said everything was great.

Happened to be in the area so dropped in on a Friday lunch. Couple of gentlemen playing accordion and banjo very nice. Had some basic menu options and it was good. The bottle of wine was larger than life so that went home with us. Fun vibe would come here again. Especially fun if you have visitors and they want to do a river cruise or kayak

I absolutely love this place! The best thing is it’s FREE to stop in and look around. They always have different cars and they are for sale! The guys at the desk will give you a price if you ask. They also have other memorabilia like old gas pumps, coke machines, golf carts that looks like characters from the movie cars (Lighting McQueen and Tow master) and much more. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping in to see what they have. Maybe you’ll find your dream car or at the very least walk out with a smile on your face!

Amazing collection of muscle cars and Corvettes for sale. All in immaculate condition. If you want one of the best, stop in or call the fellas. Everyone very helpful and happy to let you look at everything as long as you like on your own.

Well my family was in the car business many years, it was a pleasure to see such immaculate, well kept, restored classics. They have such a diverse assortment, something for everyone to appreciate. I loved the whimsical puppets placed throughout. I met a man named Jim who is a broker there and he was very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend everyone take time to visit, it's like stepping back in time.

I just bought my 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner through Ideal Classic Cars and I cannot say enough good things about Fritz and the rest of the team! What a unique & special place. You can actually buy these ultra, low mileage collectables, if you have the money. My wife isn't into cars but still enjoyed this place. Staff is super friendly. I will be back for the Viper when I have the money. And the GT40 when I really have money!

We visited from the Miami area, and stopped because we like birds. Bring binoculars! Or a DSLR. Or anything that will help you see across the water better. We saw birds that are familiar to us, and were excited to see a few that we had not seen. We were very excited. And then once we realized how many nests of babies were in there (we saw glossy ibis, anhinga, and black crowned heron babies), it really made this quick stop totally worth our time. There were some locals there who said this wasn't even a great day and they usually see more. But we were thrilled. There is a large covered pavilion with tables, but there is no restroom. That was our limiting factor for sure, or we might've stayed longer. I'd give it at least an hour if you're a bird enthusiast.

If you like bird watching and nice quiet walk in a small but pretty place that includes a butterfly garden you will love this

This is one of my favorite places to watch birds. The island in the middle of the pond is the nesting area for several types of costal birds. There is a resident gator that patrols the pond and several bat houses where hundreds of bats can be seen shortly after sunset. Very family friendly, good for school groups, and amateur and professional photographers. Very limited parking, one handicap accessible spot, and 1 porta potty. There is a nice picnic shelter with tables. This is behind the Venice Administrative Building accessible by 41 and 776. It is surrounded by multiple gas stations, fast food restaurants, and close to multiple beaches. It is a popular spot for locals and can get quite crowded. Please be patient and considerate of those around you. Talk in low voices, move slowly, make sure you don't step in front of someone taking a picture, do not litter, and pick up and dispose of any litter you do see. Thank you, and enjoy your experience.

The Venice Rookery never disappoints. I go at least once a year from Fort Myers to photograph the nesting birds. I was relieved that hurricane Ian did not damage the pond.

Got to see nesting egrets and cormorants. Very nice place but small area. 30 minute stop. You get pretty up close with the birds though. Could use bathrooms

An excellent place to go especially this time of year when the birds have nests on the Rookery. And if you're there at dusk you will get to see the bats come out of their bat houses. Nothing quite like it. There is parking there and a shelter if you want to take a lunch. There is a porta potty on premises as well.

Very little grass, so be prepared to give your pooch a bath. Sand and dirt, sharp branches, debris, and weeds. I would expect more from Sarasota County. To many retirees our pups are like our, "kids", and livelihood. It is distressing at the lack of upkeep at this dog park.

Very large, shaded dog park. Friendly people and of the many times we have visited the majority of the dogs play well with others. It is divided by size/weight, but I've seen most of the dogs playing together regardless. If you have a large dog that chases small dogs, I'd suggest calling out to owners before entering.

Two parks side by side one for smaller breeds and one for larger, the larger has a wide open area for the dogs to play, and for the owners to walk around, there is also a convenient bench with covering if you want to sit and talk with others.

Some people complain there's too much dirt. It's true. There's a lot more dirt than grass. BUT....it's huge, full of fantastic shade trees and the people and dogs are nice. In addition, there is a nice shady walking trail inside the fence so the humans can get exercise as well as the dogs. Put on your closed toe shoes and enjoy!

Nice park to let your dog off the leash to run around. Separate areas for small dogs. My two dogs enjoyed running around. Water station with bowls. Double gates for going in.

We absolutely love this park. Our girl had so much fun there! Its very spacious and covered with trees so lots of shade! They also have water available to all dogs, balls, frizbees as well! Woodmere Paw Park is by far our favorite!

Great tree covered dog park with plenty of water dishes and fresh water supply. Visited several times while traveling in May-June 2022 and met many friendly folks and doggos. They have a big and little dog separated play area. My big guy enjoyed meeting new bubs. A bit small for walking but there is a short path in the fenced area and the park is adjacent to a trail path that runs along a stream for walking and biking. Trail is crushed gravel, not much shade. There is no lock or pass required to enter the park, parking is free.

Beautiful park on the Jetty, Venice side. They are absolutely stunning views and a nice spot to watch boats and fishermen. You can see the fish as you walk along the water. So beautiful. There were a couple of dolphins showing off for us. It's just an absolute beautiful park to enjoy a quiet evening. Definitely recommend visiting this park. The pier is closed. And there is a small restaurant inside the park as well. Great environment and plenty of parking.

Great little park that borders the intercoastal on the north side & the Gulf on the east & south side. Benches available. Jetty you can walk. Quite often see dolphins, sea birds. Food stand & restrooms. If it's windy, surfers off the beach on the south side. Great Ace to watch the sunset.

The South jetty is a great place to park and watch sunsets, or come watch the boats and fisherman throughout the day. Grab a snack, or bring your own and sit on the benches.

Hands down one of the best places to watch the sunset with your family or a loved one. It’s definitely a couples spot. We had good fortune and were able to see several dolphins swim by pretty close. Also a good spot to fish! Would recommend you show up about a half hour to an hour prior to sunset as parking can get hard to find.

Great spot to watch the sunset. You can always find people fishing, walking the jetty or just enjoying the views. It’s a great place to see manatees as well. There are restrooms and a small restaurant.

The jetty is still mostly temporarily closed since the hurricane, but they public still has access to the parking lot and a short length of the jetty. This place is amazing. You can see dolphins, manatee, shark, fish, pelicans…everything. No charge for parking.

We were in the are looking for a great beach for sharks teeth. We didn't find any but this was a beautiful small beach. The are condos right behind with lots of signs not wanting anyone in the tree line because of private property. Just be aware of that and enjoy!

Watched the sunset from this park. Really loved the area. A must visit. It's just near to Venice Beach.

Water so clear you can see lots of fish and colors so awesome you have to smile. It was hot, but the breeze was solid. Got to see lots of fish and dolphins, plus some full time shenanigans with people passing by on their boats. Great day out and about and highly recommend stopping by.

Wonderful place with some epic views. I saw pelicans, an egret, dolphins, and various other fish and birds I don't know the names of. My friends and I came down here to take it in and watch the boats come in and out of the inlet. Water was beautiful and the people were pretty friendly. Pretty cool place!

Also known as South Jetty Never enough parking on weekends and nice days. Fantastic views, wildly entertaining boat traffic, perfect people watching, sunsets and great Gulf views.

Find yourself enjoying a stroll or bike ride along the waterway and thru Venice.

This was a sweet ride! You travel along the water way and it loops so you go on both sides. There is a beutiful Mural, trees marked in remebererance. Shade verses sun is balanced enough to get a break. Benches all along the water. Sheltered picnic area. Only draw back is there is no toilets. Plenty of parking, none marked for handicapped, but do not see it would be a problem. Dogs are allowed. This is a looped path, but there is one cut off I took and then returned to parking via the main road, which had a bike lane.

Do you love to ride or walk? This is the place for you! Need a place that there are no cars to bring your little one. This is the place, when you are done stop by Sharkys or anywhere on v Venice Ave for lunch or ice cream.

Great biking Town ! The Venetian Waterway Park Trail follows along both sides of the Intracoastal Waterway, from the ocean north and somewhat east, past the Venice Airport to north of Venice Avenue. It is flat and often windy, passing through a mix of urban corridor and open green space. Colorful murals, covered rest and picnic areas and interpretive signs dot the way. You will also find playgrounds, fitness stops and parks.

Beautiful & convenient bike trail which I use for commuting, and for a pleasant ride along the water when I take the long way to Publix.

This is a great offering to have, but as soon as you get away from the main public sections, there has been unsavory people hanging out in the woods. I would be worrisome about my wife or kids enjoying alone

Christmas Parade and walk in Downtown Venice FL. What a clean and fun time I had. Soo many thing to do places to eat and shops to visit. Always something going on Downtown Venice.

Shops were great. So many shops to see. Food everywhere. Nice folks. Had drinks and spent money. Had fun. Art work at every street corner.

Such a pretty area! Gorgeous flowers, very clean, nice people, lots of dogs. We happened upon an art show on a perfect afternoon (except for a little red ride coughing)

Downtown shopping in Venice is a great experience. The shops are great and the boutiques are beautiful and carry such beautiful high end clothes. If you take care of your clothes, like I do, you'll have them a long time. The store owners and staff treat you all so nice, no pressure to buy, just so helpful. In one store I bought a dress, the shoes, a pocketbook and the jewelry, for my new dress. So much fun shopping with my girlfriends! Started the day at a French bakery to die for!

Love the downtown area of Venice! The daiquiri bar has great drinks and a great happy hour deal!

Love this downtown. Great little shops with something for everyone. They also have a great ice cream shop and live music most of the time on the weekends and also beside a beautiful beach which is a nice bonus.

Amazing place! Tons of shops (they close early off-season, plan accordingly!), tons of restaurants, dessert places, and everywhere you look is picturesque!! Love this area

Beautiful variety of stores and specialized eateries. Italian architecture style stores. Designed for walkers has too many perks to describe.

Really enjoyable and welcoming downtown scene. Very pedestrian friendly with a good variety of shops balanced with some pleasant park/promenade kind of spots to walk or just sit and enjoy the scenery. Plus, it's very close to several nice beaches and parks, so it makes for a perfect little morning or afternoon day out activity spot. We'll be back for sure!

Hello friends, on location here at Venice FL. Decided to treat my beautiful wife a different county. This location is beautiful, lay back, lots of retirees. Location is clean lots and lots of Italian cuisines. Plenty of free parking in the historic downtown location. Recommending Daiquiri Deck, menu is great, service is good, friendly folks, decent prices. Check it out.

This is always a nice place to visit, lots of shops and restaurants. And don't forget the beach.

Time in Venice always goes by quickly. Cozy, warm, and family-friendly place. Highly recommended.

Venice downtown will steal your heart. There are many really nice restaurants and cute upscale shops. Centennial Park is built into the middle of town and there are often many live performances. It's a short walk to the beach or tennis courts or if you go the opposite direction, a walking path along the water (by the bridge called the Legacy Trail). Simply lovely.

Really enjoyed my morning walk downtown today. What a joy seeing all the local artists creations! How apropos to stand among the many seahorses and mermaids that adorned the streets! You must go see them while they are there. Special treat, plenty of amazing restaurants and coffee shops to choose from and a wonderful farmers market on Saturday! Oh, and you have a dog, it’s very dog friendly, there are even fresh water bowls in the sidewalk for them, I think I even saw doggie treats along the way! Enjoy!

Nice small museum that has a large exhibit on Venice Doctor Albee and his bone grafting discovery, a good paleontology exhibit and the newest room featuring the history of the early Floridaland tourist attraction from 1964 and closing in 1971 after Disneyland opened. Very small museum worth an hour. You can tour with a museum volunteer offering explanations.

Very nice place,with photos and stories of the history of Venice and the area. It's air conditioned so that is a big plus if you are visiting in the summer. Worth the time if you are into history. Enjoy!

There is a lot of history on display in a small area. Terry, our guide, was a wealth of information. Very enjoyable.

It was really great to go to the Venice Museum and learn a little about the history of Venice. Very nice staff.

Small museum but each room is full of history items of Venice. They also have interactive areas, it was nice to see the video interviews. Got greeted by a volunteer that explained it was a self-guided tour and some of the history of the museum itself! If you have some time would recommend to stop by!
