Easiest hiking but the views are breathtaking. Went there October 14 2022 and I was lucky enough found the peak fall foliage. Must visit places at Lake George.

I must admit the views are awesome. However they let the trees grow up and many of the views are blocked by trees. They claim a 360° view but you can't see all the way around. I would not go again unless the trees were cut.

Great hike or drive up the mountain. Several overlook stops with panoramic views over Lake George Village. Really really pretty place. Photos don't do it justice. Old remnants of hotel - was interesting to see. Go in the fall for the colors - they're spectacular.

Good hike to the top. Great view! A must visit if you are driving in fall. One of the scenic drives for us.

A difficult steep rocky uphill hike. Wear proper shoes and take plenty of water but its definitely worth the effort. Not a casual hike. The view at the summit is stunning!

This park serves those who want to hike as well as those who would like to take it a bit easier and ride to the top instead. There are three lookout points on the way to the top, the second one being a panorama of Lake George. The park at the top is well-maintained with plenty of space for enjoying views as well as eating a picnic.

Since short drive up to the summit. You can loop around the summit but strictly no parking on top. There is a parking lot just below the summit with a short walking trail up to the summit it’s a nice walk up to the summit. A little steep. The video up top is beautiful overlooking the lake and the town.

It is okay, you can drive to the summit or park and do a 5 min hike. View is good from the top. No parking on summit. No restrooms in parking lot. entrance is $10, not bad.

Very nice place to visit. At the last parking to your car. much better if you walk around 4 or 6 minutes to the head of the mountain because it is prohibited park if you want to do it with your car. From the top of the mountain, you'll see the best and more impress panoramic vision...

Get away from the crowds on Lake George and drive to the mountain. $10 fee for the road to the peak. Views from the top are stunning. Well worth the effort.

It’s a beautiful mountain. There are three stops but the best one is of course the top one. U can drive up and there’s parking. We went with a 5 months old on earlier October to see the fall colors. Since it was 80 degrees it wasn’t cold up there but please do go with blankets or warm clothes for other times. Theres picnic area in the summits although you have to take your own garbage bags. And carry it down with u. $10 entry fee. Its open till 4. I did saw people hiking but idk how crazy is the hiking im glad i was able to drive up to see the view. Hope this review helps others.

We had the guided tour, all the guides were very informed about the history. The demonstrations were amazing when you think about what these soldiers had to go through just to load a musket and cannon. The fort itself was interesting as my husband and I thought about how cold it must have been there in the winter and the only heat was the fireplaces, if the room you and your roommates had one. Great for kids to learn about the history.

Great place to learn about so much history in Lake George area. There are days when you can watch reenactments, or take part in ghost tours. There's a great gift shop - even if you don't buy anything it's got interesting stuff. The fort itself is stunning and the many exhibits are informative.

My wife and I visited the fort William Henry museum and loved it. The employees were very knowledgeable and friendly. The fort is steeped in history and very scenic being on Lake George. Lastly the gif shop is large and well appointed.

This is a very cool museum! We explored the museum a bit, then met for the tour. The history part was very interesting, but the highlight was the firing of the cannon and musket. The cannon didn’t work that well because of the humidity but it was still cool. We then explored more of the fort after and learned a lot.

I visited this history museum this past Memorial Day Weekend. I absolutely loved it. The tour guides who are dressed in colonial garb were very informative and entertaining. The actual tour is only for an hour, but you can stick around to explore the fort on your own, which would take about another hour. I think the cost of admission is pretty reasonable per person for the overall experience. I highly recommend visiting this museum as it is a great learning experience for both adults and kids. Also, before leaving the museum, be sure to check out the great gift shop in the entrance area.

Wow! What a treat! So informative and entertaining!! Great way to learn history, GO ON THE TOUR!❤️ Muskets and Canons and GREAT historian actor/tour guides. Be sure to walk the museum in and out…. Preferably before the tour, takes about 45 minutes if you’re into reading about all the memorabilia, artifacts and history.

Went to the 45-minute Haunted History Tour with 11 people on Friday, 10/7/2022. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour, just the right combination of history and ghostlore. A real treat was the end of the tour when the guides turned out the lights for everyone to observe possible paranormal activity. Would definitely recommend to anyone with an interest in history or the paranormal. Very easy walk around the fort, everyone in our group from ages 13-63 was able to do the tour with ease. I also want to mention that Cindy at the desk was a tremendous help after I made a mistake in booking. Nick and Casey were also great guides; it is obvious that they enjoy working there.

Are you a history buff? Like colonial era history? Want to learn about the French and Indian War? Then you should visit Fort William Henry. Highly recommend paying for a tour. Many interesting artifacts and items on display. Really enjoyed it. You should give yourself at least 2 hours to take in most of the fort.

Fun tour of replica fort on original site. See a musket shot and cannon fire right in front of you! First tour guide in the opening room speaks very fast and someone monotone - not easy to follow but better than nothing. Fun to explore other rooms and rooftop view of Lake George. Attached to massive gift shop. Note that it’s not a state or federal park but a private museum owner and operated by the hotel next door. Diorama’s and artifacts feel like they’ve been there since the 90s. Could use some technology and a more coherent presentation of the location/story. But 4 stars instead of 3 because of the live fire reenactment which were both well explained!

History comes alive at Fort William Henry. It is a restored Colonial fortress of 1755-1757 French and Indian War era located at the strategic south end of Lake George, an important part of the water transportation system used by both Native Americans and the Europeans Visitors to the Fort have an opportunity to experience plenty of history: the long boiling tensions between global superpowers, the early days of a new nation and its impact on indigenous peoples, and the backdrop for one of American literature’s great novels. Visitors can experience this living museum with guided tours, historical interpreters, musket and cannon fire demonstrations, and self-guided tours. In the fall, the Fort hosts Haunted History Tours featuring guided tours of spooky spots at the Fort and some great ghost stories. If you are a history buff, this is a must-do for you.

I’ve visited the Fort reconstruction several times over the last two decades. There has been an effort to present how this one small fort played such an important role in the British conquest of the North American frontier from the French. There are ramps up to the battlements overlooking the immediate area. The view across Lake George toward the north is impressive.

Stop by fort McHenry for last tour of the day on Labor Day weekend 2023. These videos do not capture the entire tour there is a great gun presentation and Canon presentation and historic presentation inside the museum. The fort is in great shape and it's very informative to tour around the grounds.

Lot of fun learning about this short-lived fort. Very sad short life too. But history is our past and the teaching folks made it seem they were the people at the fort then. Spoiler The fort was burned to the ground after a defeat. Lone part of a single fireplace remains.

Live musket fire and cannon demonstration, with two individuals dressed in period costume describing the history of the fort and it's purpose. Not as impressive as Frort Ticonderoga, but still a massive amount of history here.

Justin was our server today as we did a wine tasting and he was so fun, friendly, and really made our tasting experience so much more inviting and fun! Thank you Justin and ADK Winery for such a fun wine tasting! We even walked out with 4 bottles because the wine was spectacular!!!! Highly recommend!!! (Especially the sparkling wine!)

My one night last minute escape to Lake George was amazing thanks to our server Sarah at my wine tasting at Adirondack Winery. I had such an experience with the 7 wine & 1 premium. My favorite which I renamed is the Beachside Bubbly *B!+€h yes I added the last word because it really hits with the smell & taste. We were the only couple in the place on a Monday which was off season in November. But I wouldn't have asked for anything else. We spent the entire afternoon there. I bought the jam, cheese & BBB. Thanks SARAH! You are a great HOST!

Thoroughly enjoyed spending some time learning about the great wines that Adirondack Winery produces. Eldon was a wonderful host, and we'll definitely be ordering a case to go alongside the bottles we picked up yesterday. Wide variety of wines available to taste! Come in with an open mind, as there are some wines that will exceed your expectations. Consider adding the tasting plate, it enhanced the experience.

Friendly staff. I did a wine tasting. Nice selection of wines and flavors. They provide a short description of each wine. Wine tasting includes wine tasting glass. Only negative review would be no restroom for customers. If you plan on drinking a lot, you will need to go elsewhere when nature calls.

Nice selection of fruit infused wines. Would have given this a 5, but felt a little rushed to get through the 7 samples. Was not offered water in between samples until another staff member came over to give us some when we hand only 1 sample left.

Friendly staffs and value deal. Opted for basic wine sampling which offers 7 choice and complimentary wine glass to keep. You can also select the wine highlighted in yellow for additional $1 each. I had my first ever wine tasting experience here this past Memorial Day Weekend, and it was utterly fantastic. Koleen was my server, and as young as she is, she was extremely knowledgeable about all the wines that I was sampling. She also gave great suggestions on ones that she thought I would like, based on my feedback. The cost for the tasting is $15, and you pick 7 wines from a long list to try. Anything highlighted in yellow cost a dollar more. After the tasting, you have an option to buy any of the wines that you sampled, and you get the wine glass as a complimentary item. I ended up with four great bottles. Not only do they sell wine, but they also have some souvenirs and snacks. I highly recommend for anyone who loves wine like myself to definitely make a point to check this place out!

Awesome little gem on a cold day at Lake George. We loved the fruity sweeter wines. Our host Justin was an excellent server! For $15 you get 7 sample tastings + a glass to take home! Amazing deal!

We stopped in for a tasting and were greeted immediately, we waited only a few minutes to be checked in and seated. We ordered the works experience. Once we selected our tastings service was fast and friendly. Our “Happy Snacker” came out within a few minutes and paired well with the wines selected. I could have passed on the marshmallow and some of the crackers were more like cookies, nuts or fresh fruit would be a good addition, but it was different and I believe the cheeses and jams are locally made. The semi-dry Riesling, Lakeside Bubbly, and Moonlight were some of my favorites. They also have a location in Queensberry which is worth the short drive! There is no public bathroom at the Canada Street location so plan accordingly.

Fun wine tasting for a cold and rainy day while in Lake George. They had a nice selection of dry and sweet, so there is something for someone & prices weren’t that astronomical. Nicole was amazing as she walked us through our tasting and was a great time! Their wine wall for pictures was the perfect touch and a fun way to remember the trip!

Great experience at Adirondack Winery! We stopped in on a cold January day and we received very fast service and delicious wines. There were a wide variety of delicious wines to choose from for the tasting. Our experience was made even better by Amber, the bartender. Amber was so friendly and she talked about the flavor notes of each different wine I tried. Amber is a wonderful bartender and made the experience memorable!

Had a great time with our grandson. Not long lines for rides and a slow paced park to go at ur own speed.

What a gem. Perfect day of fun for a young child. Almost all of the rides are for little kids. Both shows were fun - even for adults. The food is reasonably-priced and satisfying. The dinosaur animatronics are incredible. Everyone who worked there was out-of-their-way friendly and welcoming.

Perfect little adventure for a one and a half year old. He could go on many rides alone and I joined him for a few. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It wasn’t very busy so we didn’t wait for any rides. The Dino park was awesome! Lots of shade. One of my only recommendations is to provide some sort of info regarding the Dino park - some of the hills were a bit challenging for one of my family members. The amusement park portion has an older feel and some of the old attractions that no longer work could be discarded (the horse pool area) but overall a great experience!

Very nice park for kids 2 to 10 years old. The rides are a little old and dated but the kids love it. The price is very reasonable and there is hardly any waiting time. For 20$ you can't get a better deal. The park has lots of tall trees and on a hot July day it's very nice and cool. The restaurant has limited selection but the basics are covered and the prices are very reasonabe. Remember to get there for the Magic show and the diving horse. It's a great deal. I will be back.

So cute for kids 2-10ish. All rides they can go one, dinosaur set up to walk through. Not slamming food, drinks and snacks down your throat. It was much needed kid fun that didn’t overwhelm the adults. Barely any lines. Walked right on everything. Workers were friendly and helpful. We arrived at 11 and left at 3:30 and felt that was a good amount of time. Ticket includes all the rides, stories, and fun. Only thing extra was the gem search mining and the face pairing. Also expeditions but I didn’t see any, really. It seemed like “the magic forest” part was roped off due to safety? Maintenance? Or maybe they are transitioning out of not using it anymore? We were disappointed to miss this part but seems safety upgrades such as fence around the winding path and renovation of old buildings is needed to get it up and running as expected. Needless to say, we felt we spent just enough time there to cover everything. Where all the misfit and old rides at amusement parks around the nation go to live out their life. I would def. Recommend to parents or those looking to entertain the littles but not worry too much about being a kid. We loved it. All adults and kids were thankful For the find.

June, 16th 2023 Granville school took their class feild trip here for 1st and kindergarten, they closed the whole park down at 2:00 P.M just after the buses left despite many people staying with their kids after. Last year they closed at 4:00 P. M with the same field trip, which was alot more respectable. They also increased their admission price by 50% for this year. Rating one star for being super stingy... Rising prices and closing earlyer. Very disappointed.

What an absolutely amazing amusement park! I just spent 5 hours exploring this amazing park with my four and six-year-old today. We did most of the rides, several times over, Dino Roar Valley (which was unbelievable), saw a magic show AND met Santa!!! He has a cute little workshop where we made Christmas ornaments, wrote him a letter and put it Santa mailbox. I was worried that the park wouldn't have a lot of rides or would be too "babyish" for my kids but my worries were put to rest once I pulled into the parking lot. AND what you see from the roads/parking lot is just the tip of the iceberg. This amusement park is under the cover of this amazing forest so you're not walking around in the beating Sun all day, it's cool, comfortable, it was not crowded and my kids were able to go on most of the rides over and over again. Once or twice I had to go on a ride because my daughter is only 40 inches, I believe 48 inches rides without an adult, but there was only two rides out of the 10+ rides that they went on that they need me to go with her . There were some that we didn't even get to! We've been coming to Lake George for 3 years and I can't believe I never knew about this park until now. WE WILL BE BACK again and again and again. The price is $40 per person / child and kids under two are free. They have a Snack Shack with very pleasant employees where you can get popcorn, cotton candy, water, slushies, soda, hot food all for a very very reasonable price. Two kids popcorn, a regular box of popcorn and two large drinks was $12 . The magic show was cute, the magician even called a few of the kids on stage so it made them feel really special. Last but not least, the dinosaurs are not to be missed! it's a bit of a walk down around and back up a path through the forest but just the sight of them with the animatronics was stunning. They even have a little show towards the end of the path that's cute for kids and nice to sit and take a break. It's in an open seating theater outside and they even bring out a "real dinosaur" (Roary). There is a huge parking lot in front with no charge to park, every single employee we came in contact with was helpful and friendly. The park is clean, kept up and you can tell that they care about maintaining the appearance and the rides so they give each guest the best experience. All of these attractions, rides and shows were well worth the $40 per person admission price. Just a wonderful place to spend the day!

What a nice little amusement park that brings back memories of yesteryear! The dinos are amazing! Animatronics! Snack bar was not overpriced and the ride lines were not long at all. Will definitely go back again. A+. They take cash or card.

This is a sweet little park, the kiddie rides are just enough thrill for smaller kids and there are a few rides for older kids that are great. I dig vintage and there was a lot of that, but still maintained. It was mostly shaded which is nice on a hot summer day, the lines were short, the food reasonable. I miss the quirky characters, but the dino walk was effective and fun. I'm glad the problematic animal stuff has been removed. We would go back in a second!

Place was alot of fun although they did go up on prices it was very worth it the family had alot of fun and would go again and the food was really reasonable also their dinosaur is hands down the best and blows the one in Connecticut away!!

We had such a great time here. This is a perfect kids park, with so many fun rides for young kids. We had a blast watching the kids run around and get on al the rides. It has that “old time” amusement park feel in all the best ways. We enjoyed the magic show, got our faces painted, and saw all the dinosaurs too. Would absolutely go back. (Again, just keep in mind this park is definitely for kids. Maybe up to age 8 or 9 ish, max.)

Dino Roar Valley was great. The animated dinosaurs along the trail are cool. The walk is long enough but, not too long. I've seen many animated dinos but, a couple of these were huge. Also it was nice that many of the old rides and attractions remain. Nice that my grandchildren were able to experience since of what my children and I did! They have done a nice job of mixing new and old. This park is perfect for younger children.

Well....it's a beach. Doesn't open until 10am, and the food concession stand is way over priced, and lacking taste. The only decent thing about it is the size of the changing rooms and bathroom which are very clean.

I was on the fence about coming here, was not sure it was worth it. It was way more beautiful than I thought. My kids loved it. My son was in the water for hours. The sand is soft and water clear. beautiful view. place to wash sand off feet. heads up - The food stand is CASH only. This was the most relaxing day we had all week.

Nice beach. Clean restrooms, helpful staff. Can get a little crowded during the hotter weeks, but offers a great view of the lake

Million reasons to go somewhere else (part 2) We go to the beach to clear our heads, get away from everyday life and have fun. This beach has a lot of potential but is unfortunately run by wokes. The facilities are superb, the building is well equipped (toilet, shower, locker) the sand is fine, the water is clean, the view of the lake and mountains is splendid, but the lifeguards are very nervous, always whistling. The supervised section is very small and an adult can only swim up to his navel, not in the deep end. You can't swim outside the buoys, or you'll get whistled at and warned with the megaphone! On the beach and in the water: no ball games! No flotation devices, no alcohol, $10 parking, cash-only canteen $12.99 US for 2 hot dogs and a french fries, no beverage included. Vegetarian burger only. I prefer other beaches to this one, which is much too regulated!

I love this wax museum, it’s a must stop for me anytime I visit Lake George! It’s nostalgic for me, and I’m not surprised they have been open since 1973! Frankenstein used to be greeting guests and passing tourists at the entrance, I did not see him this visit hopefully he will be back! Much of the theme is historic execution methods, sprinkled with other historic tails of terror. I don’t find it to be scary in the least, but it may be to youngsters or the faint hearted! It’s an inexpensive fun little stop for anyone visiting Lake George. They used to have a second attraction, the haunted house just up the street. Sadly that is now being used for office space, I would imagine ghosts of the past still roam the halls! I will continue to stop in every visit in hopes they will continue the tradition!

I love anything horror, so I was super stoked to check this museum out while visiting the area. Be forewarned that some of the exhibits are not for small children and might even upset some adults as well. This along with the warning about strobing lights are written clearly before you buy your ticket. I love that they have references to older classic movies like Dracula and Frankenstein and the ones I grew up with, like Halloween and Friday the 13th. The figures are very detailed to the likeness of the characters. The price of admission is rather reasonable with the number of exhibits they have, and they have some nice jump scares throughout your experience. I definitely recommend checking this place out for anyone who has a love for horror movies.

This place is THE BEST attraction in Lake George! I go every year and it never gets old. The wax figures are old and it makes them SO much creepier. If they were newer, it wouldn’t have the same creep factor. Unfortunately it says they’re temporarily closed. Hopefully that’s just because it’s not busy season yet. I hope this place never closes!

This place was so much more than we expected. Lots of animation and a creepy haunted house walk through with some jump scares. Not just basic exhibits. Such a cool experience! Highly recommend!

i gotta admit, i was a bit terrified going in but i had a blast cause i love haunted houses. the references down to vincent price himself were intriguing and immersive. this place has a lot to offer

We were walking by and couldn’t resist going in. It was a really cool wax museum and honestly some of the scenes were pretty scary! We loved the spinning room at the end. We went on a Saturday afternoon in October and not busy - we just bought our tickets and went right in. Super fun and highly recommended!

Amazing creative fun! The house of Frankenstein is truly a great and fun experience. Dark hallways, and interactive sights to see through windows and cages. I would suggest you take your time to watch the animated ghoulish figures as some will entertain. The further you go the more you will see. This place is good for small jumps and great laughs for us with dark humor 😉 In my personal opinion the best is at the end of your walk through the house of Frankenstein. Lake George New York is a fun place to go during the season and i highly recommended that you make this one on the top of your list of visits.

This attraction is absolutely incredible! It's well worth the price for everything you see in there! The scenes are well done, and the jumpscares are really good! I wouldn't recommend it to kids under 13, there is some gore and some scary scenes, but still, VERY FUN AND VERY SCARY! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO A FRIEND!!

My God! I had such a great time! If you love classic horror movies, or history of French torture, you will really love this museum! This is by far one of the best attractions on Lake George! You will not regret taking the 25 minute walk through as this is well worth it! Take your time walking through, and enjoy the horror, because you will really have a great time!

One of the few “easy” hikes in the area. Great views of unspoiled Lake George. Bring a bathing suit for a dip in the shallow, sandy, crystal clear water. Outhouses all along the trail. Pick up your trash people. No respect for nature.

Easy hiking to short advanced trails. Beautiful.. Log jam bay on lake George is also accessible from the trails. Boaters are a little loud at times if you want a full nature only day.. But if you don't mind that a good 5 hours of trails and waterfalls await.

Off the beaten path, short 1/2 mile hike to some beautiful falls with small wading pools. We wore our bathing suits and dipped in, felt wonderful. Go into the lower pool. It's like sitting in a tub. Water is very cold, but super refreshing. Great for kids. Definitely recommend wearing hiking boots or solid sneakers for climbing the rocks.

Absolutely beautiful area to hike and explore. The road to get back to the trailhead is a mix of paved and gravel. The road is well maintained. There are 3 different parking areas. I visited on Monday afternoon and only passed 2 people on the trail. Right at the beginning of the trail it's a little bit of rock hopping but then the trail smoothes out. A short walk down to the falls. There are many opportunities to take pics of the falls and the stream.

Went here on Mother’s Day as a family trip. Was great experience, the hike was not very hard and you got to view the beautiful waterfall at the end of the trail.

Cute little falls. Not enough water to get into the water. It's a short hike from parking lot 1. 0.4 miles one way. You could also do the buck mountain trail via shelfing rocks. This is a 5 mile hike.

Awesome hike. Not too tough. Got to the actual falls quicker than I expected and well worth the hike. Added bonus. Nice to attain the goal without frustration. Very satisfying. Beautiful woods, nice wide trail.

Nice hike, hard to find the entrance, poorly marked We just went, during a very wet and snowy early spring week. We parked in parking lot 1 and wandered around, looking for the trail. You have to walk back down the hill a bit from where you drove in, cross the little bridge and make a sharp right. It doesn't look like a trail. It looks like rocks on the side of the stream. That's the start of the trail. A few hundred feet in, it turns to an easy dirt path. As you near the falls, you hear them on the right, but the red markers keep going up toward the left. We followed a barely discernible narrow bare path to the right and down the hill. It is very twisty and you have to hang onto trees in a few spots because it's not clear where the path is. Once down, however, you are at the base of the falls and it is beautiful! It looks like there may be some pools you can float around in at the base, but the water was high so I don't know if there is enough water in them during the summer. All-in-all, it was a nice little hike. If you follow the path to the left, I think that takes you up the mountain, but we had a 5 year old with us, so we headed back. A nice couple of hours out.

Lovely place, about 10 min walk to the falla, you need to go down along the falls, no particular trail to go to the bottom but it's pretty easy, we did it with my 7 yo and then continue on red trail and you'll get to lake George

Beautiful nature and falls. The path to get to the falls is not easy, as you have to go through rocks and wooded slippery areas. Once you get there, the falls will make the trip worthwhile. If you plan to go, use proper gear.

Great little winter hike! Trail is primarily flat and easy to follow. Parked in the first parking lot, backtracked over the bridge and went around the guardrail to reach the beginning of the trail. We went during the winter so we had the falls all to ourselves. Beautiful quick and easy hike with a big reward at the end! Definitely stop in and check out this waterfall if you are in the area!

This hike was so enjoyable! There are many spots to jump into the lake off of the trail, beautiful waterfalls, and streams. We went in august and lived the entire hike!

The falls are pretty and easy to get to (the walking part, that is), except for a steep section to get to the bottom of the falls. The summet is a fairly easy to moderate hike (I'm 62 and in decent shape), but once you get to the top, there isn't much of a view. But what they don't tell you is that you have to drive about 10 miles on an unpaved road. It's pretty well graded so no potholes or anything, but it's still a dirt and gravel road. Not really worth the drive to me.

Absolutely fantastic! Captain Tim took us out for a two hour tour of the lake George and we had a wonderful day! He was very courteous, responsible, and knowledgeable of Lake George. We were going to rent a boat and then decided to go to Bolton boat tours and it was the best decision we made all week! Highly recommend him and his business for your next tour on the lake.

Highlight of our multi generation family trip to Lake George! Ages 15-78! We did the 3 hour trip. Tubing, rock jumping, swimming. Gorgeous views!! Ted captained the boat for us parents and Gma, and his son Tim captained the boat for the 8 kids. Highly recommend this trip and this business. Our family went on a fishing tour with Captain Tim during Columbus day weekend. Captain Tim greeted us early, and was friendly and accommodating. Myself, my wife, and 2 teens boarded the boat while Tim made sure we knew what to do for successful (bass) fishing. During the boat ride Tim told us about the history and facts of Lake George. He quizzed our teens on science and local ecology. We also caught fish and had a fantastic time. The views were worth the ride alone, besides the fish and the guided tour. Our whole family rated this 5 stars, and we are going to book another trip when we return next fall. ***Just returned from our 2020 trip with Capt Tim. Great time had by all. Excellent service and beautiful scenery. Thank you again Tim for a great trip. See you next year.

We took a boat tour w my girls, and captain Tim was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable about the lake and gave us a lot of history about the lake and surrounding areas. I would highly recommend trying them out if you're in the area. The boat tour with Captain Ted was the highlight of our trip to Lake George. Tubing, cliff diving, swimming in the lake along with Captain Ted’s knowledge of the area made for an epic 3 hours of fun. Everything was top notch and professional.

How do you think you get your products. Who do you think has been working through covid shame on this store. I step up and used my essential workers discount in health care for this person. This was under armor store not the cafe

The worst thing that a deli may have is a cook with attitude. My daughter in law asked for a gluten free wrap and when she discussed with cook, he was very disrespectful in the answer. Also, our order missed one of the sandwiches. When we claimed, another attitude came from the cook. They checked the receipt and he failed to do the sandwich. Some of the orders came out with sides that were not requested. Despite being a small deli, if quality and service are not at the par with the sandwiches, it is not worthwhile.

Expensive mediocre sandwiches... My buffalo chicken wrap was shredded chicken with a dash of hot sauce on it, no creamy sauce as expected, but ranch did come on the side to provide the texture I was looking for. All sandwiches came with a packet of potato chips on the side. Took 15 minutes to get our sandwiches and not enough tables to sit at so we took them back to our hotel.

They were closed yesterday but planning on going back real soon so we will stop by next time. We have ordered there before and I can say it's is good.

There are a handful of tables and seats inside but on a nice day, I think the food is best enjoyed at one of the picnic benches outside. There is such a wide variety at this place, I definitely want to go back to try more of what they have to offer.

We visited in April 2023 and let me say - this trail is not for just a fun walk. We only did the first part of the trail which was a VERY STEEP HIKE up the side of the mountain! To the point where I was saying - if the top is not in the next 100 feet I’m gonna turn around - well I said that about 6 times but we did make it to the top. Amazing view, I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the fall. But walking back down my legs were jelly! We didn’t complete the trail to go see the waterfall and that was okay with me! At least the gazebo at the top offered a place to rest. There were a surprising number of hikers there that cold spring day too!

The best ratio of hike-to-vista payoff in upstate New York. Make sure you keep going after the first *incredible* view of the southern half of Lake George to the real summit where you can see the second *incredible* view of the northern half. Just challenging enough to make it interesting for repeat hikes. Adults can comfortably complete a round trip in 3-4 hours including a quick picnic on top. Come early as parking becomes a challenge. I

Hike to the Buck mountain summit is 3.3 miles one way and I would say that hike itself moderate level in difficulty. Not for kids for sure. View on top is nice and worth the visit. I was trying to make it to the summit before sunset and it took me Around 1 hour and 20 minutes. On the way back I had to walk through pitch Black Forest with a flashlight and I don’t recommend it as if you are not careful you can hurt yourself. Also trail marks can be a little better as occasionally you kind of have to look around a bit to find the markings. Also people who rated is as easy probably pro hikers.

This was one of the challenging hikes I have done so far. It's a 7 mile hike with the first half roughly 600ft elevation gain and the second half is 1300ft elevation gain. Carry a large snack or a good meal and have it at the top of the hike watching lake George and the vast mountains overlooking New Hampshire. It's truley beautiful❤️

I'm not sure what kind of Appalachian trail veterans are leaving reviews here saying this hike is only moderate. Took us four hours roundtrip with a 7 & 9 year old in tow, and it was strenuous. Very nice hike with lots of cool streams to ford and a wide variety of terrain. We couldn't see the view since it was super foggy the day we went but I'm sure it was amazing considering the uphills.

It's a great hike. I would say medium difficultly with a beautiful view on top. The trail can be really wet during early spring or after heavy rain falls. About 4 or 5 streams you have to cross. Overall it has scenery and is a fun hike

This hike is part of the Lake George 12ster. Of the two main approaches to Buck (shelving rock or pilot knob), this one, pilot knob, is the better one in winter if you don't have an all-terrain vehicle with high clearance. Shelving rock is a gravel road, but the trailhead here at pilot knob is off a paved, plowed road, and the parking lot is pretty big (10-15 cars if they park nicely.) No incline to get into the lot, though the lot is currently very icy and uneven. You can do it with a normal car still. The hike to Buck is great, about 7 miles total (to the top and back), and mostly in streambeds. In the winter, that means it is VERY ICY. Bring microspikes! There was some snow at the top but nothing deep yet. There are several stream crossings, but the water isn't deeper than a few inches. The climb to the false summit is quite steep, don't forget to look behind you for an incredible view! There is also a great view from the summit itself. Stunning lake views, wonderful place. PS: currently an area near the beginning of the trail is flooded out. You need to follow the yellow spray painted detour.

There are many great hikes in the Lake George region and Buck Mountain is definitely one of them! Set on the southeast side of Lake George there are a few different ways up the mountain. The most commonly used trailhead on Rt 32 and is about a 7 mile roundtrip hike. This hike starts pretty easy and then gets tougher as the hike progresses. Path is fairly wide and easy to follow. When you get close to the summit you will get some nice views of Lake George. A second way up is from Shelving Rock Road. The Shelving Rock Trailhead is about a five-mile hike. The path has good footing and is moderate to strenuous. There are some fairly steep spots, but nothing to hard. You will see fewer people on this trail. Finally, you can also catch a trail that starts near Inman Pond and joins the trail from Rt 32. This path is not very well used and is considerably longer. This trail can be found on Sly Pond Road. At the top the view is awesome. You can not only see Lake George, the Sagamore Resort and the nearby Tongue Mountain Range, but on a clear day you can see the Adirondack High Peaks many miles north. Overall, the views show why this is one of the most popular hikes in Lake George! If in the Lake George area give it a try! Try to go early as the parking lots fill up quickly.

Use this trail head to get to Stewart ledge. The trail is easy to see & the walk up only has a short distance, requiring an increase in elevation. The view at the top is great.

I'm a beginner hiker, so heres my 2 cents. The hike to the summit was pretty difficult. It gets steep many many times, my legs wanted to give in a few times. BUT if you persist, I promise you the view at the top is beautiful. Amazing view of Lake George and the Adirondacks in the background as far as the eye can see. Parking is easy. Also, definitely the nicest hikers I've ever come across on any trail!

We have been renting boats on Lake George for 30+ years - always from a rental company a few miles north of Yankee. Last year we had such a bad experience we decided to try Yankee! Wow - what a pleasant experience! The pontoon boat was nicer, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Easy in and out and not nearly as chaotic! We rented twice this year and hope to rent one more time before leaving. This will be our new go-to place for rentals!

Emailed twice to cancel a boat rental, never answered. The cancellation policy allows for a 50% refund. But as a returning customer I was hoping for a voucher for the next trip. They refunded $146 out of $746 which is 50% according to them. While I enjoyed my previous experience with them, I will definitely never return.

Another marina had my boat for 14 weeks and did not repair it nor were they able to determine the problem. Yankee Marina had the boat one day, they found the problem repaired it and also cleaned the terminals on my quick release for my trolling motor, replaced my bent prop and replaced the water impella. I give them a 10 for mechanical abilities and a 10 for professionalism and keeping me informed Joe Pepe

We have rented from Yankee by the week and just for the afternoon. In the past it was nice big pontoon boats but this last time it was just two of us and we got a nice speed boat. The staff is super nice and accommodating and they have a great selection of towels, tee shirts, drinks and ice cream to grab on our way out. We always check prices and Yankee is consistently lower than the nearby competitor. Highly recommend.

I've stopped by this storefront once in 2016 and again in 2017. Both times no one else was in there. The staff on hand was friendly. I did a full tasting in 2016 and ended up getting their "Adirondack Wildfire Whiskey", which I really enjoyed since I love cinnamon. This year I didn't do a tasting and I picked up their "Bullhead Bourbon" on a whim. I'm really enjoying that as well. When I go back in 2018 I'd like to try their "Apple Pie Moonshine", which sounds awesome.

Tastings are $8.00 for 3 varieties & shot glass included to take home. The Lemonade Whiskey is amazing, great summertime drink. Highly recommend!

$8 for three samples and a souvenir shot glass is a good value. Its made that much better when the samples are high quality. The bourbon was good, smooth and flavorful. The cinnamon moonshine was surprisingly good. But my favorite was the rye. At 100 proof, it was very smooth, great spice and a pepper finish. Would definitely recommend this to whiskey fans in the area.

Wonderful place to stop in for a tasting or cocktail. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, very welcoming. I was a bit skeptical but I tried a mango moonshine slushie, so glad I did, it was a perfect blend of fruit and smooth moonshine.

Stopped in on the afternoon of 7/7. The woman behind the bar was very unwelcoming. Asked if we could sample the frozen drink machine to see what flavor we wanted to buy and the lady stared at me for at least 10 seconds with no expression on her face and then said “no” with the nastiest attitude. We were excited to try this place and the rude woman working totally ruined our experience. We just wanted to taste a straw full of both flavors to decide what one to buy. Would not return.
