We have tried to get into this park for years with no luck. Was really happy to find a spot there for our Valentine's Day celebration and it did not disappoint! Incredible views from the high points. Excellent hiking/biking trails. This park is very large and I think a person could spend a week here and not see it all! Restrooms were very well kept. On the downside - the signage for the campground to lead you to your RV spot is absolutely inadequate. The water was turned off for winter and the sign explaining where to the fill spigot was on a sandwich board and had been placed beyond the spigot, after you already drive by the spigot. There is not a campground entrance sign at all, so the end of our trip there consisted of about an extra 20 minutes of confusion and driving around that could have been alleviated with a good set of signs. The leash law is strictly enforced, even for our aged dachshund, who gets around slowly and could not create an issue when if he had the heart to. He also is sans teeth! In any case, we loved the park and would love to return if we can ever find a reservation again. Would be a great place for day hikes also!

we stopped in Port Gamble. It is a beautiful little town and well worth the visit if you have not been there before. There's a nice little grocery store near the waterfront. At Fort Worden we drove out to Point Wilson Lighthouse and parked. We hiked around the waterfront and then climbed up the hill to some of the World War II batteries. We had a good drive back home, again taking the ferry. It was dark by the time we got on the ferry. Even though it was winter, our little Chevy Bolt made it all the way to Port Townsend and back on one charge.

Cool place, dramatic and beautiful views. The Fort was also very cool. It is a big park so we didn’t get to see everything because we came later in the day so plan accordingly. Great place to bring the kids and learn some history of Washington state.

Such a beautiful park with a tranquil feel. A great day trip or you can multi day with the campground. We have ridden our bikes through here a handful of times now. This past visit I saw all ages doing activities including beach combing, kayaking, hiking, camping, and general sightseeing. So much to see here and even seasonal restaurants. There are numerous vistas above the beaches with glorious views. Each time I see some form of sea life and many birds. I appreciate the well tended public restrooms and picnic tables. Dress in layers and bring a beach blanket. Binoculars would be helpful for watching sea life and birds. Discover Pass is required for the park areas.

Great state park with beaches and something to do for everyone. Their is something military history buffs, movie buffs, Montana pipeline and beach people. You would do yourself an injustice to never got.o this state park.

Ft. Worden is a WONDERFUL place to visit and campsite. The beach is right next to your area where camping and the historic WWII bunkers are right next to the campsites. The reason I took one star is that it is essentially a "parking lot"; a very nice parking lot with all sites having full hookup for RVs but there is NO brush, shrubs or overhanging trees; it is a glorified parking lot off the side of the beach. Most of the sites arearge enough to accommodate larger sized rigs.

If you are looking for a State Park to WOW you, consider Fort Worden Historical State Park, 430+ acres located in Port Townsend in Washington State. This United States Army base was not only an Army base but later became a juvenile detention facility in 1957. And in 1971, Washington State Parks and Recreation took it over, becoming a State Park in 1973. Built by a British citizen known as Reverend John Barrow Alexander in 1883 was "Alexander Castle," the oldest building in Fort Worden. But the actual construction of the Fort was started in 1897 and closed as a base in 1953. There is so much beauty to see and history about Fort Worden; I've recently read some visitors say that Fort Worden appears to be haunted. Whatever your reason for visiting this Fort, it will surely wow you in more than one way. Fort Worden offers a sandy beach, abandoned artillery batteries for exploring, Point Wilson Lighthouse, a balloon hanger, museums, trails, wildlife, marine science center, camping area, day use site areas, and picnic places. Did I mention that there are cabins, shelters, conference centers, and historic structures to rent throughout the year? And so much more. A wedding was happening when we were there! I urge you to visit; even if you are a resident of Washington State or visiting Washington for the first time, this park is fabulous! Also, you get the benefit of being in Port Townsend; Port Townsend alone offers a slue of history and beauty! Shoutouts to every employee, volunteer or otherwise. These people have dedicated their time in keeping this park safe, lovely and litter free. If you choose to visit (I sincerely hope you do) this or any other park, please be respectful of the parks, wildlife and the employees. Clean up your messes, and enjoy what any park offers, not by drawing on or destroying it but by learning from them and appreciating all they have to offer, and remember Be kind to ALL living things!!!!

I visited the lighthouse area and one of the battlements. Excellent views and some great hikes on the beach and on the old trails of the fort. The view from the battlement overlooking the mouth of the Puget Sound was excellent.

Fantastic place to stay, easy trails to cliff views or beach; the Commons had God coffee, pastries, salads, sandwiches. When open Guardhouse pub was a lovely relaxing evening pub dinner. Stayed in colonel's house on parade grounds, nice view of straits, super clean and comfortable.

Lovely October escape! Our second visit to the area and I look forward to the next. Easy drive and fun trails, cafes, eateries, shops... exploring for all sorts of interests, ages and seasons.

I visited both Fort Worden and Fort Flagler (over on Marrowstone Island) in the same day, doing Flagler first and then Worden. By the time I got to Worden, it was early afternoon and the entire place was pretty busy. Flagler had been the opposite! Fort Worden is definitely set up to maximize park usage, which certainly works to its advantage for upkeep and revenue, but for a history buff tourist like me, I prefer a little less crowd. My wife & I went to see the historic fortifications, the Puget Sound Coast Artillery museum, and the Point Wilson lighthouse. Unfortunately, the only fortifications you can get to by car are Battery Kinzie (which was very crowded, since it is right next to the RV campground, beach, and science centers) and Battery Vicars (which is small and not notable really). The hike to get from the parking area to the other, more secluded fortifications is just under a mile - not really something I was interested in doing after hiking around Fort Flagler for three hours that same morning. And finding that route was tough since there was no signage pointing vehicles to that side of the park. So, we skipped the outlying batteries, and only visited Kinzie and Vickers. Kinzie is really big and impressive, with a fantastically beautiful view of the surrounding cliffs, so despite there being folks shouting and carrying on inside, it was still worthwhile. Point Wilson lighthouse was unfortunately closed for filming, but looked neat from a distance. There was a group of people fencing on the beach, I'd never seen THAT activity on the beach before! There ended up being two museums down near the parade ground that I thought looked interesting, the Coast Artillery museum I had planned for, and a tour of an Officer's Quarters - but both had short business hours, and I was unable to squeeze both into an afternoon. Each is managed separately and has its own cost. The Coast Artillery museum was good, not as good as the Fort Flagler Historical Museum but broader in scope and with interesting artifacts from throughout US military history. The room with information on how Puget Sound, Seattle, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca was defended during WWII and the Cold War is the most interesting part. The museum is within an old barracks, so the space isn't conducive to a typical museum flow, the customer service desk is between the two galleries so you have to pass back and forth to see everything. There was a guided tour of the museum going on, but from what I heard, it wasn't worth spending the time on - the guide was basically just saying what was on the signs, and the tour was barely through the first room by the time I was done with both galleries - and it had already started when I arrived! There is a small entrance fee, and they have books for sale on a variety of interesting military history & local history topics. Overall, the museum was the highlight, and worth the visit alone - but again, if choosing between Worden & Flagler, I'd recommend Flagler & its museum over this one. As with any other Washington State Park, you need to have a park pass - which you can buy on-site for $10 for the day, or $30 for the year (and it covers all Washington parks). Consult the Washington State Parks website for specific location, some parks have both machines that take credit cards and a visitors center option, some only have the machines.

Beautiful hikes and lots of history to learn about. The local wildlife is pretty friendly, too! Historic lodging is available, or there are campgrounds, but you'll need a reservation. Much of the area is an easy walk but if you can handle the steeper trails and rougher terrain there are some beautiful views from the upper portion of the fort.

Love this place for both camping and hiking, as well as the history of it all. Wandering into and between the gun emplacements, now silent, make you ponder what it was like when this place was built.

Beautiful place full of military history and nature’s wonders. Situated on a strategic site where a straight meets a sound, (Say that 3 times faster :)) Fort Worden is a great respite from the city. We stayed in a neatly decorated house on officer’s row during the Apple Cider Festival weekend. It was lovely.

Absolutely loved spending a few hours here. Spent some time at the initial beach area. Getting to visit the lighthouse and catch a view of the top of the old lighthouse tower. Walking along the bluff trails with a stunning view of the sea from up high. Lots of structures with historical significance and no restrictions on climbing and enjoying every nook and cranny. Be careful and pay attention as you walk as there are no guardrails with some very steep drops on concrete structures in some areas. None of the trails are very difficult and they aren't too long. Many are out-and-back which make it easy to estimate time and distance. One of the trails I was on was relatively secluded and was face-to-face with a large deer.

We love this magical spot where you can view the Cascades and the Olympics just by following the beach around the point that boasts a lighthouse!

My favorite park in Port Townsend. It’s big, beautiful has a couple of playgrounds, it’s right on the water with excellent views. You can hear the birds and sometimes even see deers. Perfect spot.

A charming park with a lot of nooks and crannies to observe the fine landscaping, good views on sunny days, wildlife, and the people in the open spaces doing very interesting things. Parking is a challenge, but perhaps a little better than some of the other free (not State) parks about the area.

This is one of the prettiest parks I have ever visited. A great place to take the kids. There's a playground, a beach to wander. They have a kitchen shelter you can rent. Plenty of picnic tables. Swings. Beautiful rhodys blooming in the spring. A must see.

A beautiful Victorian small town with an European charm. You will see old styled bright buildings, nice walkable downtown and historic areas. Nice eating and snacking place. Very much walkable.

Such a beautiful well kept park. Swings, climbing structures, slides, pathways, a tire swing and more with views of the mountains and beach access. What more could you want. Oh restrooms too which is nice for littles!

Lovely park with lovely flowers and trees in bloom. There were some huge palm trees and some huge leaf plants that had been donated from other countries. The layout was quite nice and every once and a while I picked up lovely whiffs of flowers in bloom. Oh, and the live music in the white gazebo was a lovely bonus.

Although this place is open seasonally right now, it is definitely a cute and fun experience for kids and adults alike. Is definitely a good-sized attraction when you're visiting the park as a whole for the day.

This is an informative little science center that is also associated with the aquarium on the pier across the road. Both attractions have helpful staff, and the price of admission covers both. The aquarium let's you get up close and personal with several types of marine life that they are currently studying, rehabilitating, or helping conserve. The science center has interactive exhibits, an orca skeleton, and a little gift shop.

If you are looking for a place to spend a significant amount of time, this isn't it. It is a small with with about 10 displays. Walked the whole thing in 5 mins. It is not interactive. They did have a learning center which was interesting... but not much.

This is a great place to take a break from the beach and learn about fish and crab and all things living there in the Salish Sea. Touch tanks for kids. Friendly staff to answer questions. Bring your Discover Pass or pay a couple bucks to park.

Went here about 10 years ago and it was great with touch tanks for interacting with some of the wildlife which helped me appreciate these creatures better. You can no longer interact with the animals (which is what made this place unique and special) and the $7 entry fee is a bit steep for the amount of experience you get between this place and the small children's museum. I feel like they should offer gloves to allow you to touch the animals or the staff interact with them in front of you to give an experience. I would recommend to bring small children who are interested in sea life. Otherwise, pass.

What a beautiful beach. Found a few pieces of sea glass. Tide was high if you want to find the sea glass best to go when tide is low. It's a nice public area. Had port restrooms and picnic benches

You do have to pay to go in. It's not a big place like an aquarium, but a small learning center more for children to learn about sea creatures and tide pools and that sort of stuff. It's a nice little place to show your kids and teach them.

Educational fun stuff. Nice views outside on pier. Viewing boat launch can be entertaining. On clear days the view account the sound to the mountains is worth the trip. So much to explore. Wheelchair ♿️ accessible. Good fun for all ages. Take your time to enjoy all there is here.

A live octopus that they fed, right on the water, and very respectful staff. One kid even knew facts about the fish and octopus there. Great family experience, especially on mothers day! (You get in free mom!)

Cool little place. Small, but some great stuff for kids. Octopus was out and active which was surprising for the time of day. Your admission gets you into the museum as well which has one of the few complete orca skeletons in the world. Really cool experience.

Was a fun place for a wedding reception with a great view of the Sound.

Great staff and facilities. Taking an ASA keelboat course to brush up on long dormant skills. Cool wooden boat shop as well.

You can go upstairs in both buildings, or into the boat shop. Be sure to do these things while visiting! Just respect that folks are working. Chandlery is more of an outfitter/gift shop - not much hardware unless you order it. Velocity cafe is awesome. Grab a pink chair and hang out outside for a few hours!

Interesting center with boatbuilders. Lots of history and good collection of boats. Nice people.

It is an awesome non-profit organization promoting boating, education and events. Seeing the wooden boat workshop is great too.

We held my brother's memorial here and it was the perfect space, plenty of room and all the trappings we needed. Mia was very helpful as was all the staff who worked with me over the years. He died before the shut downs in 2020 and I had to reschedule several times - never did anyone there give me anything but support for all the changes. I would highly recommend the venue, it's really beautiful.

We organized a memorial service there for someone who loved the water and nonprofits and hated late capitalism, honestly. The venue made the mic, the decorations, the catering EASY. The sight of the water and the huge timbers of the floor held us up, and made it better.

Not only a GREAT venue to have your next celebration at, but the NWMC also has tons of sailing classes, and they do so much for our community. I love supporting our Maritime Center!!!

We came for the Wooden Boats Festival. What an amazing time! Free seminars all day for 3 days for $40 or less. Then there is the jaw dropping array of wooden boats to look at. From little rowboats to huge schooners. Power boats and sailboats. Far more fun than I'd ever imagined.

Loooooved it. If you're in the area, go. It's wonderful. Everyone is super welcoming and there's some amazing booths in there. We got a big glass bottle of cider for about $20. I can't remember the name but it's local to the area.

One of the best farmers markets in the state. Beautiful produce, great food and craft offerings, and even live entertainment (though it's been known to vary in quality).

Lots of local organic produce, wares and bands. Strong community support and participation. If anything is missed, Aldrich's, a grocery open since the 1800s, is right across the street as you exit.

I was just wondering when the farmers market would be opening up again.... They have wonderful things for sale along some w/yummy goodies too!!!! Oh I found it also.

One of the best smaller farmers makers we’ve been to! Love the music and general vibe. The only downside is that some merchants don’t take cards, which these days is just unacceptable- I’m happy to pay a few bucks more to not have to manage cash or tokens.

Farmers markets are always great, and the sellers had interesting stuff too! Variety of shops and food items.

Probably my favorite farmer’s market, although I don’t get to visit that often. I was amazed to find it open in early December! Lots of great produce and food vendors, and good vibes.

So happy to catch a farmers market while I'm in town! Bustling market with loads of fresh produce. The local artisans offered unique items. Super family friendly. No doggies which is usually for farmers markets. The drinking vinegars were probably the most intense I've ever tasted. They've got a good kind of wallop to them! We tried the family recipe bratwurst rolled in a German pancake! Yum!

What a wonderful market. Fabulous veggies and terrific vendors of many different wares. A GREAT place to spend Saturday Morning.

Great farmers market! Live music. Fresh baked goods, yummy pizza, fresh produce, jewelry, clothes, coffee, honey, bath salts and soaps. There's also a park for the kiddos to play. Bathrooms at the rec center were open.

We go here everytime we are in town. Now that COVID is over they have more vendors like in the years past. The food is delicious and the fresh veggies, fruits etc are so delicious. A must go to experience!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I ordered some shelf posts that unfortunately did not worked out in my space. I called before returning and was told that the 20% “restocking fee” did not apply because what I ordered was NOT a special order. Well guess what when I returned the items they refunded only 80% taking the 20% that they said they wouldn’t. 300$ down the drain for NOTHING. They are scammers, based on reviews I don’t even know how they are still operating.

Too many integrity issues with this company. I've been an antique lighting conservator for 47 years; and the items we received were obscenely expensive. The items were sold as "hand-cut crystal" but they're actually cheap stamped glass. All of their prices are outrageous. They gouge on shipping, and very slow to ship. Never again.

Just lost a long review after I tried to add photos and was unable to. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VINTAGE HARDWARE & LIGHTING! Wish I had read some of these reviews before losing $50-70 on junk hardware from this company (after paying their ridiculous shipping plus restocking fees). They charge exceptionally high prices for very cheaply made, flimsy hardware.

Respect and costumer service is something you will not find here. Covid gave them an excuse to become a web only, treat people like dirt, store.

I'm looking to restore whatever period details I can to my 19th century house, and Vintage Hardware & Lighting had the perfect switch plates at a reasonable price. They were easy to install. One had slight alignment issues compared the the others but with some patience it worked. Shipping to the east coast was really fast too!

This company has had numerous BBB complaints filed against it, under its real entity name. They refused to honor their website terms and verbal conversations, and charge excessive and unconscionable shipping and handling rates. Will never do business with them again. Customer service is terrible, can’t trust them. I’ve never had such a bad experience with a business before.

Wow blown away at the amazing art deco collection of lighting so many amazing home interior decorating and style options that will bring a center conversation piece to your home. Cannot go and not leave with something amazing. A little for everyone inside.

Known about this place for many years. We were excited to stop by when we had a trip planned to Port Townsend. BUT...were surprised they are no longer open to the public. Now you have to go online, pick the item you want and then show up to get it. Takes the fun out of looking at vintage shopping. I guess that's where business is all going now... to the internet. Disappointing.

I ordered some brass foot rails for our in home bar. I spoke with Ron. Received the product and the brass ends (BR10) were a completely different color brass than the center T (BR11) connection piece. (These are large and expensive pieces of brass. The color was not even close. When I called to ask about the color difference, I was told by Ron that I had to soak the pieces in acetone to loosen and remove the old laquer that was on the pieces (apparently they don't rotate their stock) and then polish with Brasso. The process would be hour(s). When you spend $1100 I would expect to have a "plug and play" product out of the box ready to install. Instead I have now taken the parts to a metal polisher to the tune of $155 to have them polished and cleaned so they all are the same color. Very very poor customer service and an even worse explanation by Ron! If there was a zero star option I would have checked it!

This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with. Once they have your money, they don’t want to give it back. They told me I could exchange an item for full refund ($203) for the same item that I would purchase in a different finish. I called prior to returning because it was over 30 days and I wanted to make sure that I would not get charged the 20% restocking fee since it was an exchange and not a return. I said I’m in a rush to get the door mail slot because I’m getting a replica of an antique door made and I want it to be ready for them to install. They suggested I order the mail slot in the new finish before they receive the exchange so I could have it in time. I called 4 days after I sent it back to see if they had received it. They said yes they had received it, but they were taking off a 20% restocking return fee (even though it was an exchange not a return and they assured me on the phone that this wouldn’t happen). I didn’t think it was fair (especially since I had purchased other items totally $900) and they had lied to me, but I didn’t have a choice because they would not budge. They said they were refunding $148 out of the $203. Every time I called, they said it was processing. The woman who answers the phone said it could take up to 6 weeks for the bank to process it (I’ve never heard of that). She said keep calling us for updates. I just called today and they told me something that almost knocked my socks off. They are not giving me a refund. She said they changed it from a refund to a store credit. This is illegal. I don’t need anything since I bought everything that I needed and they knew this. This is illegal! A store credit is not stated anywhere on their website. They lied and are trying to keep the $203 and they have the mail slot too! I also paid $20 to return it to them. They are thieves and liars!!! Very unethical company!

This is the best vintage & reproduction light store we have seen in the country ,so much to see also have,clocks,locks,hardware & other antiques.Can't miss it coming into town.

What they sent me looked worse than a high school shop project. Purchased a mortise lock and privacy doorplate from their website. The mortise lock came with a lose part inside, I opened it to try to put it back in place, and found stunningly bad workmanship inside. They had taken a grinder to two of the pieces to convert a stock keyed lock to a privacy lock, and the person who did it must have had no professional machining experience. The privacy thumb plate that was bundled with the mortise lock on their website did not fit the mortise lock. When I called to ask about solutions, Victoria told me they couldn't accept the mortise lock once it has been opened. In other words, if you examine their work, you can't return the garbage they send you.

This place was really interesting! Many different exhibits, especially for a place of this size. They had local art, a wall of old pictures, the old city jail, and the original city council chamber, which they use to this day. Loved it.

A must stop and visit. The price is even better! Enjoy local history and even put your kids in jail! Exploring the log book for the jail was so cool! The staff was helpful and took you in as a local.

A great small local museum with a variety of exhibits. The staff were very friendly and the exhibits were interesting and immersive. Covering both history as well as highlighting some local artists Ave artisans.

This is a pretty good small museum. It's a little strange of a layout, but I would guess that's due to the layout of the building it's in. Overall, this was a great stop during our stay in Port Townsend, and well worth the time it took to go through here.

Nicely restored. Fun to see the women's jail, the hearse in the old Fire Hall and the wonderful collection of photographs of the old seaport. The museum offers a walking tour of Port Townsend that's entertaining and worthwhile.

Nice bit of nature. Stopped here on a nice, fair spring morning when we got to PT early. Not another soul in sight.....we enjoyed it with our dogs. Little walk on the beach etc. A person alone might find the lack of other people disconcerting in such a large public park.

This park was very nice. The bad first: Due to the burn ban (despite the rain) we couldn't have a fire. Understandable and we knew about this before booking. Bring your propane fire pits! The bathrooms and showers were also under construction at the upper camp, which was unfortunate as we were tent camping and there was no alerts about this at all. I am disabled and we selected a campsite near the bathrooms specifically for my needs. 3 Porta-potties are available and well maintained. The showers are PAY TO USE in the lower campsite, which you will have to use as the upper showers are not available. $1 per 6 minutes. The sites in the upper camp are very small. We had to shift our table around and the only spot that fit our tent was on an incline. The other spots were about as small. The good: The hiking/walking/biking trails here are among the nicest and best maintained I have seen! They were extremely quiet (other than 2 teenage girls blasting a radio on one path) and the leaves were begging to drop and turn. It was visually beautiful, and all the historic buildings are great to explore. It was not crowded at all, we had most areas to ourselves. There are some really beautiful vistas! The park management keeps the park EXTREMELY clean. And I do mean extremely! I did not see a SINGLE piece of trash anywhere in the park, at any time during our stay of 3 days. I did see park management cleaning up, sweeping, etc multiple times. Our campsite (space 78) has a little trail directly from the spot to the 2 walking trails in the back. Very convenient access. We were able to see lots of birds (and even got to hear the bird-song of a rare species of tree bird) and heard hawks, owls, seagulls, and song birds. We also spotted some seals just off shore and got to experience and watch a family of river otters hunting and eating fish. There are lots of deer in the park at this time with fawns. They will allow you to get within a few feet of them. Please don't pet them! We were treated to two packs of coyotes singing for about 4-5 minutes each. A very lovely experience. This was a great park for our stay and I would recommend it to anyone! It's very well priced, clean, and beautiful. Call ahead to check on bathroom/amenities.

This is a great group site! The price is $70 a night for enough room for at least 30-40 people. There is water on site, vaulted toilets, a cool old structure that probably has some cool history to investigate and you are about 15 minutes from Port Townsend! The park itself has lots of trails and a cool beach but not much else to speak of as far as a state park is concerned. But I would definitely stay again.

Loved this camp ground! We were in a great location by the bathroom and water. The way the campgrounds are placed felt private with the tall trees. There were people near us but it didn't feel like it. We went on the botany walk that's a little over a mile. It takes you through the woods woods different plants are marked with descriptions. It was very nice. Towards the end of the botany walk there is a viewpoint to the water. Loved the history behind this campground, there were lots of signposts with info on it. Overall this was my favorite campground we stayed at on our trip.

Very cool place to visit. We stayed in our RV which was somewhat uncomfortable just simply because of how close it was to the other sites but they emptied out the next day and stayed empty. There are NO HOOKUPS, despite what it said on the parks site where we booked it, though there is a dump station near the entrance if you need it. Tent sites are really nice, and the old X Ray Tower is awesome with a humongous BBQ and a ton of tables for large gatherings. Trails are easy, some ups and downs but nothing outrageous, lots of cool info if you read the plaques on the Historical Trail and Cemetery Trail. Tons of wildlife. The chipmunks are EVERYWHERE, as well as deer, squirrels, woodpeckers, and fuzzy danger noodles.

Lots of parking for day use, great bathrooms. Beautiful nature trails with native plants. A row of camper sites looking over the water, tent campsites in the trees are a little small. Really a beautiful park.

If you're looking for a serene woodsy place to tent camp this is it! There are RV/trailer sites which are what you would expect - all in a line with no privacy between them. The tent sites all have moderate to high privacy, especially the perimeter sites. If you're in the middle of the loop then unfortunately you have people 360 degrees around you but still not terrible. I noticed that all the sites have fire pits with grills except for #2 for some reason. I would also avoid #2 and #3 as they are literally directly next to the bathrooms and there is a bright metal halide light outside the bathroom. The pull-through sites generally are more secluded and offer more natural buffers than the back-in sites do. Within walking distance of the tent sites are large grassy fields with plenty of room for activities and games and there are several miles of easy walking trails that parallel the shore line with beautiful vistas overlooking Port Townsend Bay. One of the trails leads down to the shore which has a nice picnic table right on the shore. An added bonus for history buffs are the placards on one of the walking trails that tells the history of the park when it was an active Army base in the late 1800's. The trails are all wide and well-maintained as well as heavily shaded which is nice in the hot summer. Only of a few of the lesser used trails were quite narrow (shoulder width wide). All in all my wife, daughter and I fell in love with this park and will definitely be reserving #1 again!

This place is jam packed with beautiful vintage aircraft that have been restored by the volunteers and local youth programs. A must visit for aviation enthusiasts and general aviation history buffs. I've been here twice, and both times seen aircraft that I've never seen before.

The vintage planes in the museum are awesomely well preserved and beautiful to look at. I throughly enjoyed my visit and it was great hearing about the work they do with kids!

I went here for my first time today. It was amazing! I had absolutely no idea this museum and restoration shop was even here. This place helps kids get in to aviation too. I loved it. If I didn't live so dang far, I would definitely volunteer as an A&P. ❤️

This is a great spot for anyone interested in aviation, local history, and a cool place to take the kids. My family visited and found a clean, well laid out museum filling out an aircraft hangar. The place is basically run by volunteers and folks involved in various restoration projects. Besides the gift shop with tons of goodies for kids of all ages, there are books, models, and many wonderful examples of vintage aircraft. The rates for tickets are correct on the website...it's that inexpensive!!!! Come out, see a great museum and visit a great airport and check out the Spruce Goose cafe! Yummy food right by the flight line! We'll be visiting again!

This place is super cool, the staff here are extremely knowledgeable and listening about how they help youths learn about aircraft’s and how to repair them is incredible, this museum is a true blessing to the community

As aviation enthusiasts, my husband and I try to visit aerospace museums at every opportunity that presents itself. We learned about this museum just before the Covid-19 shutdowns. So, over a year later, we finally were able to visit the museum. And we were not disappointed. It's a small museum that only takes 1 to 1-1/2 hours to see the planes and read all the placards. The collection concentrates on planes of particular interest to Pacific Northwest enthusiasts with a variety of antique and classic planes, mostly tail-draggers. Almost all the planes are in flying condition. And our favorite thing about the Museum is it  sponsors a youth mentorship program. The participants learn and participate in all aspects of the museum's operations, including restoring and flying the planes. We were fortunate to meet Mike Payne, the museum's Director, who showed us some of the activities the teens and young adults were performing. Wow!! I wish I could have participated in these activities when I was their age. So yes, if you are in the Port Townsend area, I highly recommend taking a side trip to see this museum.

This place was super cool! Totally worth the stop or trip. Was immaculate inside as well.

So many planes! Their students regularly fly many of them. There is a flight simulator there that was built in 1929 to train pilots in instrument flying, built for the Army Air Corps. You can get close enough to most of the airplanes to touch them, but please don't. After the museum, we went to the Spruce Goose Cafe next door and had lunch while we watched airplanes land and take off.

My husband and I actually love this place and stop in every time we are in town. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they allow dogs. Don't get me wrong, dogs are great. Service animals are an understandable and wonderful thing. I have allergies to dogs, though, and it makes it difficult to relax and enjoy great beer and company. The beer is terrific and why we keep stopping in.

Usually, it can't be expected that a brewery does more than one style of beer well, or has more than a couple of outstanding beers. Port Townsend Brewing is the exception. Their scotch ale was outstanding. The stout might have been better. And two of the IPAs I tried were phenomenal. Add that there is a variety of places to sit and enjoy a pint, with your dog, one other person, or a group, and it seems unfair that the rating limit is only five stars.

Love the beer and the atmosphere! Solid craft beers, especially their hoppy IPAs. You can hang with the locals after work or over lunch but I really enjoy hitting the beer garden during the slow hours to grab some quiet time with a brew when the rare PNW sun is shining!

Comfortable, friendly brewery with a good selection of different types of beers (plus a few wines) for whatever you are thirsty for.

Stopped in for a couple of beers while camping at Fort Worden. Was very impressed with the selection on tap. Brew-tender was very friendly and provided guidance. My wife enjoyed the amber and I really enjoyed the Hop Diggity IPA . Added bonus was big selection of board games to play while we enjoyed our brews. Backgammon and beer are a great pairing!

One of the co-owners (female), has continually berated and insulted customers over the years because of them not keeping an ‘open’ tab. She lit into one customer about it because it cost her money to run a card ‘just for one beer’. I have witnessed her in the past scream at patrons or musicians that she hired to play events, who I am sure never came back. I have been going here since 2015 and recently was the target of her rage and unprofessionalism. I was insulted (you’re a designated driver, well good for you!) because I did not order an alcoholic drink due to being a designated driver and that I had inadvertently brought in a bottle of water. This set her off when I told her I would take my bottle back to my car. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this business and I will be sharing my experience with friends in Seattle, abroad and Jefferson County. There are also three other breweries that offer the same, if not more, without the narcissistic outrages from the co-owner.

This is the brewery to visit while in Pt Townsend. Excellent beer, friendly patrons and superb customer service.

Great trail. Ada access for the majority with warnings for hill and gravel sections. On a bike or on a run there is a comfortable cruising trail with some hills and a single track off to the side for the majority of it. There are two main trailheads with bathrooms and garbage. The trailhead swtches between forest, farm and water if you go all the way into town. I only wish there was a better connector tonthe remainder ofnthe discovery trail out to the west.

Nice biking / walking trail with plenty of parking. This is handicapped accessible although the parking lot and access path are not paved. There is a handicapped accessible porta potty at the lot. The trail has numerous turns and a few minor incline / decline averaging 2-3%. Most of the trail is shaded and abuts private residential properties. This part of the trail is so peaceful and beautiful but there is very little parking. It's a nice flat walk but no benches or anywhere to really stop and take a breather.

Very nice, wide groomed trail. Mostly flat, with a few inclines but nothing too onerous. Nicely treed and shady. The trail is good for biking, walking and works well for scooters and wheelchairs. 7 miles one way, from end to end. Port-a-potties at both ends and in the middle of the trail.

Great little 7 mile trail for running or cycling. Most hard pack surface but rough in place and largely not paved...best suited for a MTB or gravel bike. Pretty and shaded in many places.

I seem to find all kinds of different mushrooms along side the trail. This year though, I've found way more of them as well as some I've never seen before. I just find it fun and informative to learn about them.

Love this ferry. Great views of my baker and mt Rainier and the Olympic peninsula at the same time.

For us and our children, this ferry crossing was like a little trip. We stood and waited for the ferry like a small miracle))) We all really enjoyed sailing on the ferry. We crossed during sunset, an incredible sight !!!

Small kiosk terminal with restrooms and waiting area for walk on passengers. Great to have restrooms when waiting in your vehicle for your scheduled ferry. We find the restrooms well maintained and friendly, helpful staff.

A nice little port town. We took the ferry over to Keystone. A nice ride. While waiting on the loading dock for the ferry we enjoyed the smell of saltwater and the mountain views. Way kool!

The biggest antique store with several unique items tucked in every nook. I spent over an hour looking at all the cool stuff. It was two floors but it felt like six. Don't forget to look up!

Beautiful space and quality (slightly overpriced) items but not a great attitude. The woman helping us seemed begrudged to help me simply open cases and staunchly refused to let me handle anything. I believe this to be about my age; I look young and am but am a working adult and was fully prepared to buy a quite pricey ring, but the overall sour feeling of the place made it feel risky to spend any money there.

Has gone down hill the past few years as far as quality of antiques. Refuse to shop here after finding out about subjecting customers to a 2% fee to make up for their own merchant fees when using a card. This is a really dumb move as a business owner. There are other ways to recoup that money without the customer knowing. Raise the price of the item rather than shoving it in the customer’s face. Rumor is around town that they are looking to sell, hope that’s true. Will be glad not to have to smell cigarette smoke drift into the store while shopping. Three stars because I’ve been shopping here for so long and have spent so much of my money on quality antiques that it wouldn’t be fair for me to base everything on the newer owners.

HUGE! Lots to look at, but no public restroom for shoppers. Not a good thing for a store you could spend hours in. As I've noticed with other Pt. Townsend establishments, they just don't seem very welcoming to their patrons. Maybe there have been issues in the past.

I saw this mall at the wooden boat festival in 2022. I was inspired to make a hanging crystal mobile. I'm so glad I came back through Port Townsend and found the shop again. The clerks were great. The other customers were fun. There is a nice collection of prisms just right for my project. It's a shop full of different vendors with varied items.

Love this gallery! It not only has great art collections featuring Port Townsend local artists but also hosts fun community events such as music concerts or poetry readings. I have never been to a concert inside an art gallery before. It’s an unique and fun experience. It has this bright and welcoming atmosphere that you just want to walk in without feeling intimidated.

Now merging efforts with PTSA. This organization is keeping the arts alive and well in our small port town.

Great art. Nice people working there. There are new pieces there monthly in the front and in the back they rotate exhibits every 90 days. They also have pamphlets of upcoming events.

Small but beautiful gallery gets some really nice pieces; worth a stop. Often the site for meetings or local festivals headquarters, too. If you want to find out what's going on around town, someone there is likely to know.

Beautifully restored gallery showcasing impressive works of art in a splendid historic building. Also, the gathering/information center during the Port Townsend Film Festival.

More than the galleries, Northwind is also a diverse non-profit organization that helps bring the joy and power of art to many sections of our community. That being said, the gallery spaces often feature the best art on the peninsula!

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my visit! It's small, but there is a lot of detailed information on display and the woman working at the time gave us a thorough overview before setting us loose on the house. FYI: it was 75 and sunny out but inside it was FREEZING.

It is a neat piece of Port Townsend history. The volunteer attendant told us the history of the house and the families story, it was a very enjoyable experience. I am very happy we got to see it.

What a beautiful historic house. Does it give out some creepy ghost vibes? Yes, yes it does. Does it make you really appreciate electricity and everyday conveniences? Yes, yes it does. It is well worth the price of admission and the guide is extremely knowledgeable.

I’m only giving it one star but not because of the museum itself, which I’m sure is amazing. But because I drove there and it had a sign saying “closed for the season”. Nowhere is that mentioned In the website or on these reviews (that I can find) and I was very disappointed It was one of two things I was really looking forward to since I’m not a “shopper” and would rather be in a museum. Please change the website and the hours you show listed to reflect this so others won’t waste their time.

It was like I stepped into my grandma's kitchen where she cooked with wood. This whole house feels like the family might just be away on vacation since so much of their daily life is reflected in the home as it stands.

Open again after being closed the last two years. A great slice of history of Port Townsend.

Went to two of the camps for a few years in the spring, amazing memories, great location, so much fun to explore the bunkers. Highly recommend sending your kids to the camps such as Explorations.

It was amazing, I did a program their and the workers are nice and there is a bunch of wildlife!

Jazz at the clubs was a great night out event. Known and new artists, lots of improv.

Centrum is a wonderful organization of people dedicated to the arts!

Memorable performances. Beautiful indoor and outdoor venue to watch and listen to music being performed.

Excellent festivals done here.
