A gem of history and heritage, along with delicious food! I’ve had lunch at Clabber Girl many times, always a great experience. Recently I had the chance to try their breakfast and it was even better than I expected. I ordered a veggie omelet made with egg whites, and I had only just sat down with my coffee before my breakfast was on my table. The omelet was heaped with fresh spinach and tomatoes. The biscuit was so soft, buttery and warm, probably fresh from the oven. Every meal tastes authentically scratch-made, like it’s straight from grandma’s kitchen. Having all the black-and-white photos and historic artifacts in the dining rooms and the museum really completes the feeling that you’ve stepped back a century in time. Really well done!

Cool story and history of family and business. Museum was well done and a nice detour before or after a bite to eat. Had the Turkey Avacado sandwich and was fresh, nothing fancy, yet good...probably add some side chips to make the value better.

The environment is very nice and expected a lot. However, ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it is processed chicken. Tasted like a Mcchicken sandwich from McDonald’s at seven times the price (7.25 vs. a dollar), and the sandwich came with no sides. My wife left hungry. The soup I had was very good though.

I ordered the veggie sandwich and garlic tomato soup, it was delicious! I will definitely be coming back for more. The Brookie (brownie cookie) is also to die for as well as the Rex coffee. Such an awesome place in Terre Haute.

Came into town my cousin brought me here. I made sure we came back 1 more time before I left. Really cozy, quite a really good place to hang out with friends.

We had an overnight stay in Terra Haute on a road trip and stopped here on a whim. The Clabber Girl bakery was exactly the kind of gem we look for on our cross country road trips! Friendly service and good food were great, plus the free museum inside was a perfect pit stop. We will never look at the baking aisle in the grocery store the same!

If you go early enough on a weekday you might get lucky enough have the whole place to yourself like we did! Took my son around 11:30am on a Wednesday and we had an absolutely wonderful time. A broken exhibit or two was noticed, but for us it really wasn't an issue because with the several other properly working exhibits we were happily overwhelmed with activities. We will definitely be visiting again soon! ❤️

Excellent staff, very clean facility, lots of family fun. My kids and I did the Ropes Challenge and we had a great time climbing around the different obsticles. It was a little scary but fun to push the limits knowing you are completely safe and can not fall because you are wearing a full body harness. My kids were ready for bed by the time we had been there for 4 hours. All I can say is this place is fun, fun, fun!

I took my 5 year old here on a daddy daughter date and we had such a fun time. Definitely worth checking out!

We had a great time. The first time we went, we did lots of fun stem and learning activities. The second time we went we tried the ropes course and it was awesome! There are many cool balancing things like balance beams, rope bridges and more. The zip line was very fun.

Place was very cool. Only problem is most of the exhibits had very little instruction on how they worked or what they were for and some just did not work at all. Also we paid for the ropes course and told it closed w the rest of the business at 5 so we waited to do it and wound up not getting to do it at all because they closed it at 330. They also would not refund our money but instead wanted to offer a do it again vouchers to go back another day and do it. Other then that most of the exhibits that worked or had all the proper pieces and instructions were pretty cool. My kids enjoyed it anyways

My family and I went here to spend some time together on a Saturday afternoon. My son had so much fun while learning some things along the way. The employees were so nice and helpful.

Great place to take kids. My great nephews are 6 and 7, they loved the hands on. They kept busy for 3 hours.

I used to take my 2 grandgirls here 14 years ago. I'm lucky to take my 2 year old grandson. He loved the market and shopping carts. So many things to explore. It was a great day of fun memories

It's way too loud, the sound carries from one side of the place to the other. With all the excited children, it makes for an unpleasant experience for anyone with sensitive ears. We stayed because my kids were having fun, and going is about them.

Nice. Several interactive areas. My toddler has fun... Only a few items were too big for her. We stayed for 2.5 hrs. (Note: charged for 2 yr olds...most places start at age 3.)

This is an awesome place to take kids. There is no shortage of fun activities to keep your kids occupied all day. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly and helpful.

My G. Granddaughter loved it. She is 2. 5 minutes after we arrived a swarm of kids arrived. I thought too many children at 1 time but they all had chaperons.

My girls, 2,4, & 6, loved this place! We chose to go here because on their website, and posted on their door, it says that everyone 5 and up must wear a mask. At first, it seemed everyone was complying but as time went on I saw more and more who weren’t. So it doesn’t seem they are too concerned with enforcing their policy which is why we won’t be returning. Lots of activities and a meet little place but don’t seem to care for safety as much as they say they do.

What a fabulous little place! So glad we ran across this adventure. Not huge but a great few hours of entertainment that the kids will want to go back to! We'll definitely be returning soon!

Lots of stuff to see and do and wasn’t overly crowded. I did feel like some areas were lacking in supplies for what you were meant to be doing which made things a little difficult because trying to explain to a young child that they can’t complete the task because there aren’t enough supplies available is tough. Otherwise was a good and cheap day trip for our family.

Lots to do and lots of fun for all ages. It's a smaller museum than Indy so you can easily explore everything in a afternoon. Ropes course is extra but worth it for the older kids and adults. Also has a nursing room which is a plus. We are access pass members so we're able to go for only 2$ each. Anyone that receives any FSSA benefits including medicaid is eligible and it's amazing!

Great museum! Loved the information that we got. Even though it was policed by them not by myself the parent what my child could learn. Docent was very informative and passionate. No where on any site did it say admission was only for an hour. Was disappointed as we drove from Indy and was rushed out before even finishing the second room. The lady at the front cut off the docent mid story and barely allowed to take a picture in the room due to time when we didn't necessarily opt for a guided tour but got one anyways from the docent (who again was lovely, we did enjoy her stories). Was not really left alone to peruse by ourselves again resulting in missed part of the museum by time end which was weird for a museum. Make sure you have plans on top of the museum, as I'm not sure I would have came for a rushed tour with a 3 hr round trip. Overall a lot was left to be desired by experience. Daughter left frustrated that they refused to answer questions and only stated that she was too young to understand concepts she had knowledge of prior to coming to the museum. Wish we could have walked around by ourselves so I could explain it myself to her. Would have more pictures to post if they let us take more.

I absolutely love this place! I wish it was bigger and had more but what it does have is so amazing! Can't wait to go again! I would highly recommend! Great to visit if you are traveling though Terre Haute. Only need a few short hours.

A wonderfully informative experience. This was such a horrible time in history that is respectfully presented. The hologram question and answer session was something I’ve never experienced before and very neat. I’m glad I finally had the opportunity to visit with my family. The docents were very informative and would happily answer any questions. We all left learning quite a bit of information and had lots to discuss on the ride home. My only suggestion would to be to be open a little longer than 4pm. It was hard to plan a day to visit where we could make the long drive and still have enough time to go through the museum and not have to rush.

This museum is a must visit for anyone,but is important to teach our children what can happen if we as a nation don't watch what our leaders are doing. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I found the museum very informative about the life of Eva Moses Kor and her journey as a holocaust survivor. I liked theater where the docent asks Eva’s holographic image questions because you get a feel for the her as a person in her own voice. It’s a small museum but I felt it was well worth the price of admission.

This is a very sobering museum and very well presented. The hologram of Eva Mozes Kor is remarkable. You can ask questions and she will answer them, sometimes a little more generically than you would like, but since it was all programmed before Mrs. Kor passed, It is amazingly. Well done. Her stories are very sad and it's amazing that she could be able to forgive the people the Nazis who did these things to her and to the rest of her family. I plan to go back again because it's a lot to take in at any given time.

I had no idea there was a holocaust museum in Indiana. Very informative. Staff was super-friendly and explanations were detailed and interesting. Virtual interview of a holocaust survivor was amazing

Fantastic resource on an aspect of the Holocaust that not everyone is aware of. You can see and feel the passion that Ms. Kor had when developing this place. Everyone should visit this museum at least once. Knowledgeable staff who clearly have a passion for educating others. Small facility that only takes a couple of hours to see. Make sure to take time to visit the interactive program and ask questions. Not really a negative but I do wish the staff were less intrusive with their multiple offers to go with you though the facility. Offer once or twice then let visitors ask if they want assistance. We were asked no less than 14 times in the approximately 2 hours we were there. Sometimes, especially with a topic such as this, a person just needs to be able to process things on their own and at their own pace.

Wonderful museum with a rich history, the founder of CANDLES was a holocaust survivor and one many Mendel twins at Auschwitz. The staff were attentive and generous with their knowledge. Exhibits full on information and interactive.

We went for a field trip with my daughter's school. It was a informational and moving couple hours. We learned some things and got to hear about Eva's story. Definitely worth the trip!

While it's a small museum, my dad and I spent a little over 3 hours here. The employees giving the guided tour have a wealth of knowledge and add a lot of extra information to Eva Kor's story that you wouldn't otherwise find out about just by solely reading the signs.

I loved this place! I learned a lot about the Holocaust, Eva Moses, and her family.

Welcomed with warmth as we made our way inside after visiting the beautiful outdoor mural painting. The stories spoken by a hologram of Eva M. Kor came to life and gave me the chills. I now understand how her forgiveness helped her (and her twin), to survive that gruesome past. A small museum that had to be rebuilt after vandals torched it, was yet another reminder to forgive, carry on, and rebuild. This was quite educational throughout the whole experience and how much it affected many ethnic backgrounds who were held captive and killed. The docents are very knowledgeable about the life of Eva Kor and Walter Sommers, another holocaust survivor.

She lived 30 years in Terre Haute, and the museum is a lovingly crafted tribute and testimony to her life and pursuit of peace and forgiveness. The museum's docents are knowledgeable and helpful. The tour can take from 2-3 hours, and on-site parking is available.

Such a beautiful park! The walking trail is great! The grounds are kept very well. There usually isn’t a day. A lawn keeper isn’t keeping the grounds. Great play area for children also. Train, ponds, gazebo’s….just an overall beautiful place to go!

One of the largest and nicest parks I’ve visited! Set in a lovely neighborhood, this park is perfectly shaded by large, beautiful trees. There is a creek and a pond with a fountain. There are multiple shelter houses for picnics. The playground is awesome - lots of great options to play. There is a pool, a railroad, disc golf, and golf course available as well. A great place to go!

Great place to take your children. They have the special pressure protection asphalt for people with disabilities. Took my daughter out she lives the musical toys. The butterfly girl at the front reminds us that no matter your daily struggles just like a butterfly we will spread our wings and fly one day.

Fun park for the family. They have a train ride, Christmas lights, and a play place for the kids. An all around fun time.

The play area is nice and enclosed so only one way in. It’s older but mostly well kept. There is a ton of nice grassy area to have a picnic or run around and also nice pavilions which we didn’t use. Nicest park bathroom I’ve ever seen, clean, with soap and towels. Very well maintained. We stopped her on a long road trip and it was close to the highway and easy to find.

Absolutely love the park. So many things to do for all ages. We had a nice luncheon with the family and all ages was accommodated from 5 to 75. The walking trails to the playgrounds and all in-between was clean and easy to access. The restrooms could have better lighting but other than that Deming park was an amazing time out with the family.

No matter how old i get i will climb that hill to sled till the day i die if it kills me!!! Love a chance to be a kid again😁

Very cool park for older kids and toddlers too.The play ground is padded,there are swings climbing things,trees,bathrooms,geese and squirrels.Very impressive.Bring nuts for the squirrels,but beware geese,they will bite! I fell in love with Mr.Squirrel! He was very friendly.

This is one of the nicest parks in Terre Haute. The pool isn't great, it's mostly deep which isn't that great for little kids or even just playing around, but it's the only one in town. Other than that, this park is beautiful. It has ponds, trees, shelters, and a great playground. It's always clean and perfectly maintained. A+

We went sledding today. It was great that the park put hay bails in front of the trees and fencing up in front of the ditches for the purpose of keeping slender safe!! I love that!!

Wonderful very quiet manicured park , you can tell the city and residents love this park they have a pool here and a train ride in the middle of the park. Lots of shelters to have a picnic at and a Frisbee golf course. Also many huge old trees in the park so shady :)

This was my first visit to the park. The playground is awesome, with a large area for bigger kids and a small area for Littles. I am excited for the train to open and to see the park in the spring. I was surprised at how many people were walking dogs, I thought it was a dog free park. I will update my review in the spring.

The park is great. Sometimes it's crowded, but the kids live there. I like it when it's no one at around 10am. My nephew likes it around 3 pm

I've been here multiple times, I celebrated my birthday here once, I loved it I also took pictures when the lights were out, (Christmas and Halloween) I love the park :)

I went to the park to go walking. Beautiful park. Amazing job at keeping it clean and mowed. I enjoyed walking around the park, there are benches all over the park to stop, sit and watch birds and squirrels. There are a lot of shade trees and plenty of places to have a picnic. Impressive18 hole disc golf course

This museum is great! There are exhibits for local veterans dating from WWI to present day. There is so much interesting and cool stuff and the owner has additional neat and touching stories about different pieces as well. There's so much stuff to view and read that I'll definitely be going back again!! This museum is free to view and runs completely on donations.

Great collection of photos, uniforms, gear, weapons and more from WWI through the Persian Gulf war. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend making a visit!

Fantastic little museum! The owner / curator let my son hold various WWII artifacts and personally showed us around portions of the collection.

Took my Aunt here this afternoon, as she wanted to donate my late uncle's uniforms. While there, I took a walk around looking at the exhibits. WOW, what a wonderful place. The exhibits are categorized from WWI, through current military memorabilia. American, German, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese weapons, uniforms, photos, etc. Being a retired veteran myself, it stirred up a lot of memories. This place is a must see for everyone of all ages. Whether you live in Terre Haute, the surrounding communities, or just passing through; make sure you visit this beautiful museum. Thank You Brian Mundell, your tireless efforts are much appreciated!

The owner Brian was super friendly and happy to share his treasures. This was by far the BEST military museum I've ever been to. Makes me proud to be an American and appreciate our history all the more. I did not take any photos but I urge you to go see this gem.

This is a wonderful Museum to visit. It's even more amazing to realize it is the private effort and collection of Brian Mundell. He obviously has a passion and gift for preserving history and the story of our local veterans. I came from Dyer Indiana to visit and was happy to find two couples from Highland Indiana that made the 160 mile trip as well! Great job Brian helping make sure we never forget!

What a great brewery! They had a nice selection of beer and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for those of us who don’t drink beer. We loved the history associated with this building and you can tell they enjoy talking about it! Definitely worth a stop when you’re in the Terre Haute area!

The food was AMAZING! Highly recommend the s’poutine fries and burger! I’m not a beer person, let alone a sour beer drinker, and all the sours Donovan made are 🔥 the vibe is also perfect - super chill and they have live music every weekend!

Great service and atmosphere. If you like beer they have one for you. Lots to choose from. The food is excellent. It’s fresh fast and delicious. It’s a top spot to stop for a drink or a meal. They have live entertainment on the weekends. You’ll have to check it out.

Nice place, friendly, but service last night at 8 to 9:15 pm was really slow. They had a band coming in a fair amount of folks coming in but the lines just stopped moving for 20 minutes i didn’t move. Beer was fine, the 2 we had were not too special. Ive been to places much busier and never struggled to get a second drink.

We been camping alllll week and needed a break from the humidity for a few hours so we went into town to check out the brewery. It was such a great experience with our two dogs and everyone was so sweet towards them! They had two different events happening and they still always checked on us. Traveling with dogs can be super stressful, so I just want to thank you for being so welcoming to us our our 4 legged kiddos!

Hands down the best brewery/pub I have been to, they have it all! Veteran owned and operated! Vast beer options, something for everyone including a seasonal rotation. Clean facility with lots of seating and space provides a very comfortable relaxing atmosphere. Food menu loaded with delicious unique recipes (get the steak and carrots when they offer it) Every staff member was professional, personable, friendly and hospitable. 10/10 would recommend!

Great beer selection at this cool local brewery! I was impressed with their variety of different styles, especially the sours. I recommend getting a flight of beers to try as many different styles as possible. The bartender was nice and gave some good recommendations. The brewery itself doesn't serve food, but there is a BBQ spot located at the back of the building with some good tasting food. The building itself is huge and has multiple rooms, a stage for music and even an upstairs "VIP" area.

Went down for a camping trip and read the reviews of this place and decided it looked amazing 👏 WRONG this place was a disaster out of everything on the food menu and what we did order everything was substituted with things not even close or they just didn't put it on and acted like nothing happened. Beer was cold that is about all I can say about it. The waiter made it seem like what are you doing here from the time we walked in till we left I absolutely would not have left a tip but they took it upon themselves to add it straight to the bill. If I could give it a half a star I would. 10 out of 10 do not recommend.

THBC is Indiana's oldest brewery and the second oldest-brewery in the United States still in operation. You can enjoy THBC beverages in person at the taproom located off 9th street in Terre Haute, Indiana. While you are there, you can order an appetizer or entree from Honey's Bar & Grill. You can also find THBC beverages as a local option in several Indiana bars and restaurants. If you get the chance to try a THBC beverage, I highly recommend it!

The beer was fine but the food was horrible. They were out of everything and substituted without asking us. We are visitors in town and they made us feel like we were intruding on their turf. It is one of the worst experiences I encountered in a beer establishment.

We had a large party but also made reservations days in advance. Half the menu was out of stock. Service sucked, most of our food was cold. However it was served in 20 mins intervals so not sure why it was cold. Half the party ate while the other half waited, then the other half ate while the other waited.Waitress was snippy. Just overall a bad look. The toilet backing up into the customer eating area was just the cherry on top.👌

Phenomenal staff and amazing beers. Great atmosphere and delicious food! Terre Haute Brewing does it right! The nachos are fantastic! Not only do they have their own fantastic brews, their guest taps are top notch!

WOW. What a cool place to hang out inside with your dog. We drove from Indianapolis just to spend the evening drinking some delicious beer at Indiana's oldest brewery. Inside this magnificent, old, historic building, you will find a very inviting, spacious and cool space to chill out with friends to drink some great beer. They offer ample seating for large and small groups. They offer a variety of beers and non alcoholic beers for all to enjoy. They do not offer food however they usually have a food truck outside and allow you to bring in your own food. We each enjoyed a flight with our meal. Every beer we chose was delicious. We will be back! Please check them out with your pup!

Awesome collections Loved the student art. The Renoir was breathtaking and close to my heart. My Grandmother painted this painting in an art class, the assignment to interpret Renoir's famous painting! Seeing it in person was quite an experience.

Parking can be a little tricky, ended up parking on Ohio ST. This free art museum is fantastic, very clean and peaceful environment which is perfect for viewing paintings, statues, and other creations by many talented American artists.

Great museum focused on works from (mostly) American artists. Many notable artists are represented including artists with association with Indiana. For those with casual interest in art or with small kids, 30 to 45 minutes is all the time it will take to see the collection. Wonderful staff. Conveniently located in downtown Terre Haute.

Very nice family visit. I paid a $5 donation for each of us but entry is free making it available to everyone. We enjoyed the impressionist collection and many other pieces. Very nice curators. Only real complaint was an exhibit taking up two rooms that contained many pieces that were very similar. Some interesting works but I would have preferred seeing something different in one of those rooms. All in all a nice place to spend a few hours. I do recommend checking it out for yourself.

Such a perfect spot for some wonderful art. They rotate their key artists often and I love how they have a focus on local artists. Always try to make a visit when I’m in town visiting family.

My school group was able to attend a tour of the Swope. They stayed open late for us because we came out of town and gave us a guided tour and managed our roudy kids very well, very nice staff and very clean. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Thank you guys!

Been to the Swipe several times and each one is a amazing time. Some of the exhibits change over time so be sure to stop on more than once a year. They also feature several different events through the year as well.

Amazing find! I love that this museum has a wonderful display of Indiana artists. Definitely take an hour and stop in. Take a moment to enjoy art history and inspiration.

I'm not much into art, but this museum is free and there are likely at least a few pieces you can admire. Plan on 30 minutes.

Cute little stop on our drive through Indiana. They had a Renoir on loan and curated a little exhibition of Hoosier school artists to go along with it, but the permanent collection was really lovely. Free entry, docents were so friendly and helpful.

Go see the bowl hueing exhibit before it is gone! Amazing work by wonderful artists. Kudos to the organizers!

It’s free so the price is definitely right! This isn’t a huge collection, but for a small town it’s impressive. There’s some famous works here including a Andy Warhol and Edward Hopper. If you’re in town and an art fan it’s a no brainer to check this out. For most people I’d assume you’ll spend maybe a half an hour to an hour here.

They hosted a Total Solar Eclipse event for FREE April 8, 2024. The park has a small historical village and it felt very cozy, even though there were a fair amount of people. The staff at the gate were real friendly and directed us where to go. I'd go back for sure!

Thought the park is pretty and seems well enough maintained, they LOCK you in with chains and a padlock after 10pm through 7am!!!! This place should be shut down from this reason alone!! No clue how the safety department allows them to do this. You're screwed if there's an emergency. There's an emergency phone number at the gate but they don't answer the phone. I felt trapped!! The bathrooms were also locked in the morning so I had to pee outside. I definitely would not come back. To top it off, you have to listen to loud trains all night and people hollering with lights night fishing.

I have been exploring this park since I was a child. My Grandparents camped here so it holds a special place in my heart.

Warning: Although campsite 5 is the most secluded and best tent site available, it was taken over by THOUSANDS of ground wasps. There was so many wasps, that you could hear a constant loud buzzing noise. We luckily brought a screened in gazebo to be protected and were able to enjoy ourselves. When walking to the bathroom you are being bullied by wasps and is intimidating. One the the hives was under the picnic bench and next to the fire pit, making it totally inaccessible. We were not warned they were there when booking the site or upon arrival. I hope that they find a way to relocate these wasps or close the site. Could be dangerous if you are bringing kids or animals to the site or if you are allergic to bees/wasps.

Our reservation was canceled because of weather. That wasn’t an issue, we understand that is always a possibility. Our issue was we were not informed until the moment we arrived to the campground. Once we arrived we were told we should have already received a call. We never did. For a week we tried to contact the office for a refund. Eventually we received an email stating we would get camp credit; which we did not ask for. When we finally got ahold of somebody, they told us they were new and it could take them another week to get a refund since they were still learning. The overall customer service of this campground is not to standard. Would not recommend.

Love this park. There's lots to look at. Fishing 🎣, swimming 🏊‍♀️, photography 📸, camping, and list list goes on and on. Lots of Pokémon stops as well for for you Pokémon Go players like my son. I wish they had a better playground area is my only complaint. Check out the pictures...

This is one of our favorite parks in Terre Haute among so many others we love. We enjoy the trails, swimming, playground, yearly Christmas walk and more.

Have always loved this park and trail walking. Great playground over by pioneer village. Camping wasn’t open, we kind of expected that. But would have been nice if at least one of the restrooms were open for use in the park.

This place is beautiful. The lake is nice and most of the campsites are on the lake. There is a really cool pioneer village attached to this park. We had fun here.

Beautiful cabins, but it isn't quiet completely, you can hear traffic, trains, the hustle and bustle doesn't leave you alone completely. Nevertheless it was a pleasant experience. Please note that we didn't camp there, we just did a day visit.

Love it here. The trails are great. There is so much to see here. The cabins, covered bridge, lake and more. This is a great place for the whole family. I would plan at least an hour for exploring. There is free parking and entry. You can also pay for camping at the lake.

The library is one of my favorite places. I did have trouble when I went yesterday trying to find a certain books for my granddaughter. I wasn't able to find any of the ones that I was looking for, because I really didn't understand how they were put together.

Wonderful people work and serve there. Kristen at the computer room desk was so sharp. She knew how to help me print my forms from my phone in amazing speed. Everyone we had contact with were so kind. Great assets to the community!

The internet for our whole neighborhood is out and I’m going to school online so I packed up my two kids under four and drove here expecting to use the nice kids area so the girls could play while I took a test. The room is closed to guests because a home school group will be using it for a few hours. 5 shool-age kids are using the room for projects and homework while moms show up with other toddlers and babies expecting to play there but are not allowed. Do you know how hard it is for a mom to get the kids bundled and out the door to get here, only to find out it’s been reserved and there’s no way to have known ahead of time?? I’m not sure how to weigh which group benefits more from exclusively using the public space. Can I reserve it for my toddler’s private home school experience? They would likely tell me no. Why not? Isn’t this opening a can of worms when we start discriminating against what is most important?

I am in a group of international women and the teacher Miss LeRaye is a very kind woman and we read all the children in the library which have important information and we read stories and learn English in addition there are events where we share and find new friendships

The library is a wonderfully tranquil place (typically) with a solid selection of books to read and check out. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Hours are shorter on the weekends, so keep this in mind. The remodeled bathrooms are modern and spacious. I have found and read many magnificent books here, and the selection of magazines is also top-notch and up to date.

Found a great deal of information on my family. The people at the desks were very helpful. I will return. Loved it.

Wonderful people. I tried to print off papers at ISU and apparently they don’t let students print off papers during a break, even though school starts up again tomorrow. I was panicking and I thought about going to the library. When I tell you how kind and helpful everyone was! Made me wish I could donate a million dollars.

The Covid-19 fearing VCPL staff has removed all tables and chairs. They've also erected plexiglass barriers to "protect" their staff although the staff already wear masks. You will notice the library's parking lot is almost empty because there is no place to sit and read. They might as well remain closed!

It's this amazing place you can borrow these weird things that you hold in your hands that have written words that can transport you to mysterious places, you could see a dragon, travel to the center of the earth, or maybe run with the Buffalo.. you could learn about ancient Egypt, the Aztec, or even mice. A whole new adventure and/or learning experience awaits you in the palm of your hands..... break free from the ordinary and visit the library today. You can thank me later.

Very nice library. Mine was a short visit but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Got what I needed to do done and out of there in just a few minutes thanks to them.

I love this little Opry theater, we listened to the music styling of 50s & 60 and met The Spaniels. Wonder group & gentleman!

Very nice, small venue. Sound quality was excellent. It headlines some big name entertainers. We attended a concert featuring Jeannie Seely and Tim Atwood, and we really enjoyed immensely. The adjacent Western Wear store is huge, and carries a wide range of merchandise.

The show History of Rock and Roll was amazing. The performer, Johnny Rogers, not only sang but brought each "singer" to life with his impressions of them . He interacted with the audience ...we sang and clapped along . All in all, it was a really neat evening!

Small venue which is sometimes much nicer than a huge setting..nice people..easy to park...prices good...saw Ronnie McDowell last night...absolutely wonderful show...great entertainer...great band...will definitely go back...even his bus driver sang a song..loved it...very good!!

Great performance by Tyler Christopher. Vocals were better than Elvis. Back up musicians were good too!

I’m torn. I love Dobbs Park and most of the trails are great, if not short. However, there are a couple of trails that are clearly defined and feel like it’s off trail. Also, it’s clear that Dobbs is low on the order of importance to the parks department as there are still trees down blocking a trail. From last spring. Picture is tree down. But the other side of the park is wonderful. It really is my favorite local hiking park.

I like this park for walks in the woods. The trails are wide enough to not worry about coming in contact with poison ivy or plants with ticks -most are well-maintained. The nature center is cool my kids and grandkids have both enjoyed it.

I loved this place. The Nature Center and Native American Museum are both fantastic institutions of learning and nature, with plenty to offer those looking to discover the wonder in their community and even their own backyards. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, the bird observatory in the Nature Center is a fabulous place to observe nature at it's most beautiful. Becky was a delight to converse with, and Phoebe the Cat is so friendly and cute. I'd rate an extra 5 stars if I could.

A great fishing wildlife area for kids

I wanted to go on a nice autumn walk with my dog and wow! It was beautiful from the trails to the leaves. Great place to take a picnic lunch, there are plenty of tables everywhere near the entrance so you won't have to walk far to eat. The nature center has some native species to Indiana including spiny soft shell turtles which I have never seen in person before. They also have birdwatching areas indoors with books and guides of what birds you are seeing. I saw a kids play ground which looked like a great place for the kiddos to burn off some steam before or after lunch. All in all great place to check out!

Throughout the year they have different programs and inside the Nature center they have an observation room where you can bird watch, books on Nature and live animals in aquariums with numerous other exciting things!

Quaint little park with animals in natural habitat. Peaceful and a great place to enjoy a relaxing walk out sit and enjoy the peace.

Very nice play with informative exhibits, snakes, turtles, frogs etc. Enjoyed our visit.

My 5 and 7 year old loved the museums and walking the trails. And then I got to sit on the bench near the playground while they got the last of their natural heebie jeebies out before we called it a day. We all slept well that night!

Trails here are best the best inside city limits. Regularly see deer and other wildlife.

To start, I am not in any legal trouble. In which i had a valid question regarding my privacy and safety associated with a case. I spoke to SHELBY in division 4 and she was extremely rude. The way she spoke to me was condescending. She kept saying “that’s just how we do things around here”. As someone who respects people who do their jobs, I understand some people may not have all the questions. I get it. I am an understanding person. I approached it with respect and what I got in return was sad. I truly hope she does not treat her coworkers this way. Her demeanor was lazy and rude. No one with those traits should be working in a court system. Is there not any training on how to be professional when talking to people with questions? If so, there should be training on how to speak to people with manors. Just because you are having a bad day, don’t take it out on others. That’s your job, not ours. We didn’t do anything to you.

Architecturally impressive county courthouse building in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana. The building took four years to build, be completed in 1888. The dome reaches a height of 284 feet and there are some great statuary around the building. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Dark like a dungeon in here. Kinda creepy, i came in alone and way early so it was empty. Its very nicely done in here make a good horror story scene.

To the girls in the Division 4 Clerks Office. I’m sorry you hate your jobs. You work for the citizens of this county. Don’t assume that everyone coming into your office is there for petty reasons. Some of us are dealing with more than you could possibly imagine. I simply asked for paperwork because that’s what I was told. I didn’t need the attitude. All three of you were extremely rude and condescending like I had just ruined your entire morning for asking for the paperwork I needed.

They’ve really made some huge changes to look around the court house and city hall. Also a whole new parking lot! It looks great!

A great house museum to visit! With Covid restrictions, it's by appointment only, which is understandable! On the third floor, or attic, there are some amazing murals to see! Allison was great and very well-spoken! They also have t-shirts, buttons, and some other things in their gift shop. Great place to experience some local and even national history!

This was an amazing experience and I learned so much about Debs and his community and their work. The director Allison gave us a wonderful tour and led a great discussion with obvious enthusiasm and dedication. This history is so important to learn today when we are still struggling against the same powerful enemies. Understanding the history and the tools available to us (solidarity and organizing) will help us to finally, one day, really be free. Workers of the world, unite!

This museum is an Indiana treasure. There are lots of artifacts to see and enjoy. When I visited I was lucky enough to have Allison Duerk as my guide. She is a fountain of knowledge of the man and the museum. I plan to visit again to buy a souvenir baseball hat. They don't have baseball hats now but plan to have them soon. I collect baseball hats when I travel.

The Eugene V Debs Museum exceeded my expectations in every regard. The artifacts from Eugene Debs' life are well preserved and cared for. The house itself is in amazing shape considering what it has gone through. The tour is amazing. The presentation follows Debs' life and career through 4 major themes. It helps a visitor image Debs as a whole person; as a leader in the labor movement as well as a husband, son, worker, comrade, etc. You can think you're familiar with Debs' life and work until you visit the museum. There is so much to take in that I could have stayed for almost an entire day. I will be going back. I cannot recommend touring this wonderful piece of Indiana history enough. The gift shop has some pretty amazing things too!

I stopped in with my wife and young child. We were invited in by Allison, who gave us a tour of the house. Allison was was friendly and knowledgeable, she answered our questions and - although we didn’t get to spend as much time as we would have liked, we had a great conversation and a great experience.

Allison is an amazing tour guide! I had a great time learning about everything that is on display here. Lots of original furniture, art dedicated to Debs, and photographs that tell Debs' story as well as his family's and others that influenced Debs. Allison's expressive story telling had me captivated onto every word. The attic mural was my favorite part. I highly recommend a visit here, and look forward to coming back here again.

I got a great tour from a very passionate and well-informed docent (I believe her name was Allison). More about the history of the man rather than the history of the house, it is free and worthwhile to see. The Eugene Debs was a prominent Socialist and that may bother some people as the historical narrative can border on proselytizing, but would you really rather get a tour from someone who didn't care about the man? The passion made the tour great. I recommend it. Tours can be short or up to 90 minutes. I got the full tour and am better off for it.

What a great museum dedicated to the life of a fascinating Hoosier. Debs' life should be taught in history. He did so much for lower and middle class workers, including the establishment of Labor Day as a federal holiday. Our tour guide was fabulous--enthusiastic and clearly very knowledgeable about the subject. They're in the middle of some restoration work, so the second floor is a work in progress at the moment. I can't wait to go back and see it after the work is finished!

Very passionate and knowledgeable tour guides. Willing to answer questions. A surprisingly high amount of original pieces. Definitely recommend this as a stop for everyone. They are working on some updated exhibits so we will definitely be checking back!

A place every American citizen should visit. Do the 90 min tour with Allison. It is well worth the time.

Amazing experience and well worth a visit if you’re in Terre Haute. Allison’s tour was fascinating and she makes everything relevant to today. We spent almost two hours here but could have spent longer. You can also do a quick tour if you’re short on time. Loved everything about our visit!

Wonderful historical museum covering 200 years of history for the area. Multiple exhibits covering a wide range of historical themes. The building has a very large, beautiful mural on its side proclaiming Terre Haute as the birthplace of the Coca-Cola contour bottle. Wheelchair accessible, and a very nice place to see some cool history!

I loved my visit. The displays are so well done! Plenty to see and very enjoyable. The gift shop was fun too with very reasonable in the prices.

Love the new Historical Museum. The displays are amazing, and its so much more accessible and organized than before. I dont like that Stiffy Green is in the dark, even though I know its supposed to be interactive. Really wish the horror section was larger, but the research center and all the recreations of old buildings is so cool. Staff is fantastic and love the gift shop! Highly recommend a visit.

I took my 1 year old great niece. She really enjoyed it and so did I. I learned alot! It was awesome to learn about our area.

We loved out visit to the new Terre Haute History Museum with my family. I enjoyed sharing our rich history with my little girl and for her to learn all about my hometown. Our favorite part of the visit was Stiffy Green.

Reasonable price. Nice displays. Cool building. Free parking outside (2 hours). Good overview of the history of Terre Haute. Plan on an hour.

Definitely a must see if you’re a Coke fan. Overall a nice collection that took about an hour to see. It wasn’t busy at all and there was some interesting artifacts. The staff could’ve been friendlier but overall this is a very good quality county museum and history buffs will enjoy it.

Some great local stories shared. Enjoyed reading the footprints. Will have to revisit.

This is a must visit. The beautiful educational displays draw you into the rich history of Vigo County. The building also has it own rich history. Please take the time and visit this gem.

We have been to this museum twice, the second time was their "Night at the Museum" fundraiser (so cool). It is just a wonderful display of the area's history coupled with a great, positive atmosphere. Vigo County is proud of their history, and it shows!

Diverse museum in downtown terre haute, dealing with anything Vigo county. Exhibits include cars, portraits, railway artifacts, and a bulldog named stiffy green. Also, the coke bottle was invented in terre haute and it is a big deal.

This place is the McDonald's Playplace of mountain biking. There are so many built up features and trails to play on that you could spend days here and not exhaust your options. We did a 12 mile mountain bike race through the forest on the green/blue trails and found that they were very well maintained and flowed nicely. There are features here that would challenge any level of biker, and easy stuff for the casual weekend rider.

Best bike park around. Trails and pump tracks for riders of all skill levels and even kids. They have a basic skills training trail that is great for beginners wanting to learn more technical riding. There is also a perimeter trail for those looking to put in more miles. The advanced 2 black diamonds trails are fun for those who are skilled enough. Overall a great, highly maintained, and clean bike park.

This is an awesome park for mountain bikers of all levels, from kids to pros. The park is clean and well-maintained with a variety of skill-building areas like a pump track, skinny lines, jumps, drops, a dual slalom course, and miles of trails. We drove an hour and a half to get here and would gladly do it again! Griffin Bike Park had everything we needed to build skills and confidence on our bikes. Note that the parking lot is to the left when you pass the giant entrance gate; we drove around a bit before we found it. Love this place and will definitely be coming back to improve our biking skills!

Very well maintained and wildly diverse trails something for type of rider. Beautiful seanry and rich wildlife so you'll never get bord on a trail. Spots for advanced and beginner riders alike. Will be returning. Wish there were more accessible maps of the park.

Awesome place to ride locally, great trails and great people. The folks who work out here are super friendly and will gladly offer advice and help. I'm a newby to mountain biking (3 months) and this is the only park I've been to thus far but I can surely say it's a ton of fun and I've fallen in love! Thank you to all who made this place possible in Vigo county!

This place is amazing! It has trails ranging from beginner to expert. Pump track, jump section, trials area, and the slalom are epic. It's a very good all around park.

This place is pretty much a playground for bike riders. Two pump tracks, a jump line, dual slalom course, trails ranging from super beginner to super advanced built by an amazing crew of builders. There are so many features to play on you pretty much need two days to see it all! I can't wait to go back. Hats off to the Griffin family and the Vigo county Parks manager for all they do!

Building is on National Registry of Historical Buildings. Building was erected in 1916, and is considered to be fireproof as it is a steel and stone edifice.

I was a little leary to take this tour. I was afraid it would be a stuffy don't touch anything, don't take pictures kind of place. I was delighted to be welcomed by down to earth friendly people. Jerry Burns gave us our tour and he was extremely knowledgeable and amusing. When I asked if I could take pictures he said absolutely. The building is beautifully kept. The furnishings are gorgeous. It was a great experience.

Beautiful place. They have a number on the door to schedule a private tour and I highly recommend it! Very knowledgeable guy and the architecture and antiques are amazing.

The Masonic Temple houses 3 Masonic Lodges as well as the York Rite, Job's Daughters, and Order of the Eastern Star. Masonry is a fantastic organization and it would be beneficial to reach out to a Mason to find out more.
