Loved loved loved this tour of a once working mine from the 1800's to 1970's. Our tour guide was wonderful, I learned so much about the mining in the area, how they worked and about the mine itself. Your completely immersed in the tour by wearing a hard hat, you get a light and ride a train 1500 feet into the mine, you will stop a few times along the way to learn about the mine. I guess the tour took about an hour from start to finish. Make reservations ahead of time, they book up fast on the weekends. HAVE FUN!

Amazing place filled with history, stones and a ride on a trolley! The guide was informative and made sure we were all safe. Well worth it if you are staying in Bisbee or even just passing through. It is recommended to purchase tickets in advance because it does fill up quickly.

This is our second trip to the mine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I always purchase a geode to crack open and they all are going to be quartz but is so much fun and getting to take home the experience and beauty of a geode. We had already experienced the tour of the mine I would recommend it!!

Very fun, worth the low cost entry fee. The tour was into the mountain on a train you straddle. Be prepared to be in very close proximity to strangers for about an hour. We wore N95 masks but it seemed optional and only one other couple had theirs. If you can get over that the tour was awesome. The guide was a miner at that mill so it was like stories from grandpa. He kept it clean and g rated, but entertaining. We will never forget our trip and will recommend to others. Just protect yourself and mask up. It's owned by the city and entry was 14 pp. Totally worth that.

What a great tour! One of the best I’ve been on. Our guide was a former miner and told the group so many exciting details of what happened during the mining decades and how the minerals were mined. He was funny and very entertaining. The rail car was fun and took us deep into the mine. If you’ve never been in a mine please consider this fun way to discover how mines worked and the process of mining. Being in an actual old mine was thrilling!

An hour tour of a copper mine. Part of the fun was riding the little train into the mine tunnel. The guide tells all about the history of the mine. There is a rather large flight of stairs up to one of the areas but one may remain on the train instead. Be advised toddlers may think it a little scary or boring. Also it is quite cooler temperature in the mine than outside. I found it refreshing. I had a great time and thought it well worth 14 dollar admission. There is a nice gift shop with lots of mineral samples and mine tour related displays.

Our 6 year old son and 78 year old dad both loved it so it's great for many age ranges. Great to visit year round as the temperature underground is chilly but not uncomfortable.

This tour is a walk back in time. We were lucky to have a tour guide that actually worked in the mine. I don’t remember his real name but he said if we didn’t like him his name was John. Haha. He was great. Very informative and very well done. I learned a lot and can appreciate the hard work that miners endured working in the dark with candles. The train ride was a fun and creative means of transportation. The gift shop is also very well done. We highly recommend this tour.

I've done this tour a couple of times throughout my years but wanted to share this experience with my son, so here was trip #3 and even though I've been before, I continued to learn so much more. Our tour guide was absolutely a treat, he had so many more details, facts and yet kept it interesting and funny with some really cute jokes. I believe he stated that he once was a miner himself. My 8 year old loves collecting rocks and this just blew him away as well as the extensive amount of rocks, crystals, minerals that are available at the gift shop. You get to wear a vest, a hard hat and a miners light while riding in on a little train like vehicle which is for safety but also really fun for kids to dress up and ride on.

Really fun tour and very educational. We got lucky and booked the last tour of the day a few hours beforehand and then it sold out. I’d recommend getting tickets in advance, but you could try your luck like we did. They give you an option to get off the ride as soon as you enter the mine in case anyone decides they don’t want to go inside. The guides all seemed very knowledgeable. Josh was our guide and he made the whole experience really fun with a lot of laughs. It was cute to see that kids were given the opportunity to participate and ask questions. Been to 2 of the cave tours in the area, and this tour was by far the best tour! Our guide was amazing and actually worked in the mines when he was younger, so had first-hand knowledge and stories to share. You get a light, reflective vest, hard hat and miner tag. The mine train was fun to ride and the tour went at a great pace. I only wish the tour was longer cause I know our guide had even more interesting stories and information that he could have shared. We were passing through and a friend suggested we take this tour so we decided to. You can pay at the desk for the next available tour, but we opted to book online to see what available times were for the day. Very easy to book. You must show up 30 minutes prior to the tour time to check in. They will give you a safety vest, hard hat and miners lamp to use while you are in the mine. Then you proceed to the train where you get on and straddle a seat for the ride. The tour takes you about 1800 feet into the mine with two stops along the way. The first stop has about 36 stairs into a big room and the second stop is flat. Learning about the history of Queen's Mine was fascinating and well worth every penny spent. Our tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. He really made the tour that much more enjoyable. Overall, we would highly recommend taking this tour. There is a gift shop as well as a small museum in the back for you to enjoy. Public restrooms are on site. Well worth the trip to go see!

There are stairs to climb within the mine so be aware of that. Take your jacket with you, it's cool in there. The tour was about an hour long. Make sure this is added to your Bisbee itinerary.

this place is awesome! i have grown up visiting commercial and wild caves but have never visited a mine before! the tour was so fun and riding the mine cart through the mine was so exciting! the tour guide was incredible, he told us so many cool things about the mine and his time as a miner there! i visited solo, but will definitely be back in the future with my family! i thought this was such an interesting piece of history, to be able to see it in this way!

1st time ever to Bisbee & the Queen Mine Tour. This tour, the mine & the history is absolutely intriguing & worth the trip. It's nice & cool in the mine which in summer would feel that much better. You go 1500 feet below the mountain & it's so cool to see & experience a real mine. Our tour guide was Steve who worked in the mines himself back in his days. We took the tour on a Thursday morning. All tours for the day were sold out so I’d recommend purchasing at least a day in advance. Tour was a lot of fun and very informative. Tour guide was a former mine worker and made it very enjoyable. I’d recommend this tour to everyone.

Walk back in time and ride the man-skip 1500 ft. down into the Mines. 1 hour tour and a great experience. Awesome trip, highly recommend and purchase tickets beforehand, in person, online or on the phone. 50,000 people per year visit this place. Great for kids, leave animals at home or in your RV. Illegal to leave your pets in the car in AZ. People will break your windows for your pets that are left.

Absolutely stunning experience! Would go back for a second tour. The interaction (mine rail ride with hard hats and lights, light walk and climb, make this a memorable visit). Our guide was knowledgeable. I'd recommend going to the $10 museum in town for an hour before the mine ride/visit time. Make sure to show 15 or 30 minutes before departure time.

The mine ride is cool. I was hoping for a deeper ride, but it was. The train ride is fun, and the history is amazing. The work involved and the tools all by candle. Ask for the oldest tour guide. He is old and worked there out of high school, and his experience give is quite a life.

Really interesting tour and I felt safe. You do go in the mine by rail car 1500 ft so they stop the car at 150 ft. To see if anyone wants to turn back, after that point it's no turning back. This is a great tour underground into the world of old time mining. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun and it was all about safety first! This is one of the best tours of a mine I've ever been on. Go for it you will be glad you did.

This is a great museum with a lot of history about the mining town of Bisbee. There are a lot of artifacts and specimens of minerals on display. They have beautiful samples of copper, malachite and azurite on display. They have a nice gift shop too. We enjoyed our visit there and we made a purchase in the gift shop too.

The museum itself is also a part of the history, having been the headquarters for the Phelps-Dodge local copper mining and smelting operations. Well worth the $10 admission!

Before our visit, we had no idea of Bisbee's pivotal role in the expansion of the West. It's truly astonishing to discover that Bisbee was once among the largest cities in the Western United States. The museum offers a wealth of knowledge, from its in-depth exploration of union-busting efforts and rich mining history to the surprising number of baseball legends who played in the area. What makes the experience even more unique is the passionate storytelling by volunteer guides, many of whom hail from families that have lived in the area for generations. Their personal anecdotes provide insights you won't find anywhere else. Additionally, the museum boasts an impressive collection of mining artifacts, many of which have been returned by the Smithsonian - a testament to their original significance to this community. The gift shop is a treasure trove in itself, stocked with a wide selection of books and memorabilia that celebrate Bisbee's heritage. We wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this remarkable museum.

I recommend checking out this museum, especially if you have already done the Queen Mine Tour, there are a lot of displays, pictures and information on the mines of Bisbee, as well as history on Bisbee itself. The second floor has a lot of minerals/rocks on display if you're into geology.

Historic Bisbee if you love old architecture and cool shops as much as I do you'll be in paradise. It gets crowded so weekdays are better. There's limited places to eat unless you go out of the historic area and into the other areas of Bisbee past the copper mine pit, which I highly suggest you visit. This is an active working mine and the locals are authentic and not commercialized like you see in places like Tombstone. It's worth the drive to get there. Make sure you make arrangements for a place to stay in advance!

Well worth $10! Be on the lookout for the hilarious “miner’s commandments” posted around the upper level of the museum :) Also- the gift shop is tax free and has very reasonable prices! The ladies working there were very kind & helpful as well.

Very fine museum in the former headquarters of Phelps Dodge, owner of the huge mine. History, geology, mining exhibits showing technology development. Beautiful mineral exhibits formerly in the Smithsonian. Well worth the time and small expense.

This was our favorite part of Bisbee. We learned a lot about its history. Outside of this there wasn't much else to do. Pretty cool the high school diplomas were made of copper considering how big mining for such a precious metal was to this small town.

It's literally impossible to miss this when coming or going from Bisbee, it's massive. It was fun to stop for a few minutes and snap some pictures of this giant, gaping former copper mine pit, though you won't need more than a few minutes. There are some informational plaques and dedication monuments to read as well if you'd like. Parking was nearly empty the entire time we were there, and it was the weekend at that, so needless to say that this place doesn't get too busy.

Really interesting old open pit mine. Size and depth is impressive! Good, easy to understand informative signs on history and environmental mistakes and fixes. Worth the stop.

It was a 15 min stop for us so pretty quick to see what is to offer. Good place to see several types of mineral rich earth. Good for all ages and room to stretch your legs.

Eerie and creepy, yet mesmerizing. Therebis a WWII Memorial there as well, honoring local Bisbee residents who gave their lives. The virtual ghost town adjacent (Lowell, AZ) is frozen in time and very photo-worthy.

It's a nice little pulloff on the road between towns definitely worth it to look at the view real quick snap a few photos and read the memorials but otherwise not much. In the end only really worth it if your already driving by to just be able to marvel at the size and a neat little piece of history.

A must stop when visiting Bisbee. We stopped by during sunset when leaving town. The colors were incredible The camera doesn't do justice. The Memorial is touching. If you can spend a couple of day's in Bisbee you will not regret it. It's on my bucket list.

The Lavender Pit is not something you can miss if you travel along this highway. It is absolutely enormous. There's a pullover with a monument that explains the pit and a bit of its history. The monument itself is in good shape. However, be cautious of the fencing between the parking lot and the pit itself. The fence is rusted and has holes in it in places. Keep an eye on children and those who might not be overly stable on their feet as one slip forward and you will find out quickly how strong that fence is. I know I wouldn't want to find out that answer as it might be the last question you ask.

This is a pretty pit from mining days past. There are some signs with information about the lavender pit. The best time to experience it is in the afternoon. The color doesn't wash out from the blazing sun.

Amazing site. The colors in this pit are shocking. The size of it is just as impressive. There are 3 pits in total. They are no longer being mined. It was mostly a copper, gold and silver mine. They was other minerals but was to small and costly to purify them out. Also at the view area if you turn around you will see just mounds of waste dirt that is just as colorful and beautiful.

Free to view the old open copper pit mines. Good self guided information signs telling the history of the mines in Bisbee. Good to couple with a tour of the underground public mine.

Cool looming pit with poisonous water in the bottom. Doesn't sound like much but it shows how mankind carves things up and later generations get to deal with things. That being said it is neat to look at and peer down into.

This is the reason for the existence of Bisbee. It is an enormous copper mine, pictures give no idea of the size and scale, it is literally breathtaking. There is a parking lot with info kiosk and the fence has holes cut outs for photography

You just pull up off the side of the road - point of interest stop - and they have holes in the fence that you can stick your camera through to take pictures with out the fence in the way… This is just outside of Bisbee AZ.

It's a big hole in the ground that's kind of cool to look at. The pull out area was pretty beat up though.

It was okay. We ordered chili brats and a tasting tray. I would not order the chili brat again nor would I ever suggest it to anyone. The beer was decent but not particularly remarkable. The prices were comparable.. We sat indoors at a small table and it worked for what we needed. I had such high hopes and had suggested to a friend that we double date there. After tonight I retracted the suggestion, I have no desire to return.

Great stop, even on a weekday afternoon in the off season. Got a flight of all of the available draft beers, not a bad beer in the bunch. The Salut! was unlike any beer I’ve ever had, definitely worth a try. The flight even came with a sample of the gin. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed the mountain views and shade. Was especially excited there was craft root beer for the non beer drinkers. Food is available, a few beer garden style options. We were sad that the pretzel is no longer on the menu. Looks like it’s dog friendly throughout. There were dog bowls and poop bags on the back patio.

Homemade sauerkraut, great pricing only five dollars for bars and chips. They have a small variety of food upstairs which is really an outside platform. Get your own condiments. A few beers on tap very friendly and quick service.

Great little tap room right in the heart of Bisbee and very close to the Airbnb that we rented. They have all of their awesome beers on tap although it's a small space, they have made the most of the available seating. They offer a few food options if you happen to want a snack. Been wanting to try their gin made from local juniper berries and it is a beautiful light blue color. I've tried it twice now and it's fantastic.

Delicious selections! The root beer is made on site and is the freshest, most rootie root beer I’ve ever had. They’re dog friendly. The patio is available and they offer games to enjoy while enjoying your brew!

The Old Bisbee Brewing Company was my favorite place to spend time at when visiting Bisbee. The drinks are fantastic, and the bratwurst hit the spot. Sam and Amy truly made my experience the best!! Go in and get a drink from the girls and tell them Wes sent you! 😎

Great atmosphere! Excellent pricing and they had a really unique beer that looks like water from the tap. The Bartender was very pleasant and all of the patrons in the bar we're friendly to talk to a couple out-of-towners! Will definitely be visiting this place again.

We stopped here for a cold beer and snack. What a wonderful surprise! Awesome ice cold beer and salute, good food (you have to try their pretzels!) with awesome service. The owner is very nice and informative. We will come back!

Very bad experience. Went here today in a group of 4. Beer was not as good as usual (salut beer is the reason we go). We ordered 4 brats and started eating. After a couple big bites we all realized they were raw, pink and cold. I told the young bartender/waitress and she said “they’re precooked”. That made little sense and we threw them all in the trash. My wife went to pay and said once again that they were all cold and pink and no one ate them after the first couple bites. The young waitress/bartender was completely dismissive and could not have cared less but astonishingly admitted error by saying “oh yeah, we just turned the heat up on the cooker”. She would not take any money off the bill. We are now driving home and hoping no one gets food poisoning especially as 2 of us catch a plane tomorrow. Do not eat here.

I was there on a moto tour in late September. Amy and Grayson were fantastic people. They made me feel welcome and were great company on an off-day for Bisbee.. Because of them I just booked three nights for the SidePony Music Fest. Thanks for the recommendation! I'm stoked! See you all in couple weeks!

Definitely recommend starting with the flight. It was great value and allowed us to quickly find our tap of choice. The staff were super friendly and gave us great further recommendations in Bisbee and the surrounding areas. We will definitely stop here again.

What a GEM! Not only were we greeted by regulars Mike & Lance, off duty bartender Amy & Derek behind the bar greeted us with smiles and quickly made room for us at the bar. It’s such a cozy spot with plenty of creative seating and there is a small food menu if you get hungry. Beer is DELICIOUS - so is their gin! We loved it so much we went back the next night and everyone remembered us by name. Sam behind the bar was also great. This is a MUST STOP if you’re in Bisbee!

Our guide was knowledgeable. I'd recommend going to the $10 museum in town for an hour before the mine ride/visit time. Make sure to show 15 or 30 minutes before departure time.

The mine ride is cool. I was hoping for a deeper ride, but it was. The train ride is fun, and the history is amazing. The work involved and the tools all by candle. Ask for the oldest tour guide. He is old and worked there out of high school, and his experience give is quite a life.

Really interesting tour and I felt safe. You do go in the mine by rail car 1500 ft so they stop the car at 150 ft. To see if anyone wants to turn back, after that point it's no turning back. This is a great tour underground into the world of old time mining. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun and it was all about safety first! This is one of the best tours of a mine I've ever been on. Go for it you will be glad you did.

Why is every other Post Office open on Saturdays but not this one? I'm tired of not being able to get a Box till Monday when notified on Friday evening that there is a Box to pick up because it doesn't fit in there small boxes at mail pick up boxes

Happy that the post office opened the lobby so we can access outside of work hours. I just wish it was back open to 24 hours.

Great service, Hours could be greatly improved by getting a security camera so the lobby can be open later. For business owners, these lobby hours are not very workable.

Extremely slow, mail never in the boxes, long lines always, people are nice but completely inefficient, mail is lost, short staffed, this office NEEDS a kiosk. It would decrease the lines significantly and relieve residents and staff.

Very pleasant, interesting, historic home to visit and tour. A bit difficult to find, but well worth the effort. It is extremely well maintained and there are many objects and furniture of interest. The Tour Guide was quite friendly and knowledgeable. The back of the house is available for short term lodging.

Everything is this wonderful old home/museum has a history and befits the museum. I could tell restoring it was a labor of love. A bit tricky to find (up those narrow streets). Use GPS if you have one. One parking spot in back. Well worth the time.

The house was nicely restored. The tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. We learned a great deal about the history of Bisby and the Muheim family.

Neat old house, but the tour I'd rather disjointed done by volunteers usually who may not be providing the most historically relevant or riveting information. Most of the tour focuses on the accoutrements of the house, not the community or historical developments that led to it being built.

Just got to enjoy the outside part. Benches, lovely and romantic. That street, Young blood is extremely steep. Beautifull spot.

I really enjoyed this little out of the way museum. When we visited, they weren't exactly open yet and were having some kind of meeting. Not to worry though...someone quickly came and invited us to enjoy the museum. They were excellent at answering questions and this is exactly the kind of museum I love to visit. Totally worth a visit when you're in Bisbee!

It’s 2 bucks donation to get in and there are a lot of cool old artifacts and old pictures of Bisbee. I learned a lot and the lady working was really nice. She came over and played one of the super old record players for us cause she had seen us looking at them for a while.

Great small town museum covering the history of Bisbee. Three floors of exhibits from clothing to old radio and mining equipment. Good descriptions and covers the less savory parts of the towns history as well as the good.

fascinating history of Bisbee in all its many facets. it is a non-profit, it gets gets little funding. a team of devoted volunteers makes it what it is. it is a work in progress and probably always will be, it is verging on spectacular, but has not quite made that leap yet.

A very lovely museum. Everything on display were donated by the folks from Bisbee. The two ladies were so informative and friendly to share some history of this awesome town. Very pet friendly too!!

Over charging scam artists. The kids wanted two fifty cent rocks, and I found a cheese grater tagged as three dollars. Upon check out, the old guy rang it up as sixteen dollars for all three things. When I asked why so much, the old guy said "Taxes!" Since when did taxes make up 300%? I frequent Bisbee a lot, and will be telling everyone near this place, the proprietors are scam artists.

Finders Keepers is a great place to find antiques, jewelry, cards, unique gifts, small inexpensive Bisbee souvenirs and more!

Wine? Fantastic! The male host? Even more fantastic! We came in pretty grumpy but due to good wine and fantastic customer service we left giggling. The wine tasting was super cheap and they gave you a discount on top of that if you buy a bottle. The hard part was deciding what bottle to buy. This place is a true Bisbee gem. Small little gallery and wine tasting room. Service is very pleasant, the lines were fantastic, and now I really want to go to the vineyard tasting room. My wife and I don't always enjoy lying, but the lion is That's fine leave I really damn good.

The most relaxing spot in Cochise County for a glass of wine alone or with friends. They provide an excellent tasting for those feeling adventurous. The ambience is delightful, but I am giving them 4 stars for their wines that I tried. Minnie gave me a tour of the reds. We started with a Grenache Rose - La Flor - and this wine has a very lovely bouquet with strawberry undertones. Second came a Petit Verdot / Tannat blend - Big Red - not a heavy wine. Third was a smooth Cabernet Franc, and I think it makes a great sipping wine, most certainly an excellent pairing with any tomato or pesto based pasta. Next, Minnie poured the Tannat, and in my opinion, it pairs well with heavy meats and sauces, as long as there are no capers present. The fifth was a Petit Verdot, followed by their unique Habanero Chili Granache. I did not find any detectable bite, but definitely picked up on the flavor. Personal favorites came at the end. A very heavy bodied red - Spanish Fly - makes a great wine accompaniment for heavy meats and tomato / pesto based pastas. They have a red blend - Wanna Fly Girl? - that is sure to please almost any lover of reds and it paired equally well with chocolate as with savory crackers. Finally, my personal favorite, their Sangiovese! I love this wine! Another feature I love about this winery: they are experts at pairing wines with foods, particularly savory and sweet collaborations with local organic cake baker - Bisbee Good Chefs. He has some very tempting flavors including Honey Pecan, Date Spice, Tudor Pepper and Spice, Chocolate Joy, Angel Almond, Blueberry Lemon Tart, and more! He comes to this tasting room every 2nd Saturday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. Flying Leap's Bisbee Tasting Room and Fine Art Gallery is a stop worth planning for!

We were there Saturday mid day we had friends in from Phoenix and Seattle Wa. and we took them there to show off our wines in the area and the lady behind the counter ignored us completely she was on the phone and kept saying she would be done in no time so we waited and waited and waited finally frustrated, humiliated and very disappointed we walked out. I will never take anybody by there again.

Bruce was an amazing host, by the far one of the best experiences I have had at any tasting room in Arizona. I will definitely be returning.

Huge antique store in a really cool historic building. There are multiple floors to the shop, including a maze like basement that just seems to go on and on. Very fun to explore for kids. They have some great merchandise for sale, but it's not always arranged or organized clearly/cleanly. Definitely a place to stop by when in town.

Odd, unusual and old things that will bring back lots of memories... Basement area is very interesting. . . Things that make you go, hmmmmm! They have an odd looking door made of heavy metal with unusual lock.

I’ve been coming to this store for years on my own but this time around I came in with my family memebers speaking Spanish. The store owner targeted us right from the start. He went after our son with Autism who is very gentle with items that interest him because he likes to look at all the details, and kept telling him not to touch anything! He then came to us and told us that this wasn’t a “Walmart” and that we should control our child or get the hell out of his store! Our son did nothing wrong, the only thing he did was exactly what everyone else was doing, looking at items that interested him and looking at the details. We did nothing wrong other than walk into his store speaking Spanish and he thought that my son with Autism would be the perfect target to make us look like bad people. I will never set foot in this store again and will advise all other Hispanics or Spanish speaking people to quit supporting this business.

Miners and merchants antique is located in Bisbee, Arizona. Bisbee is a great one day trip or weekend stay. Great food, good coffee and cool antique stores. My favorite one is at 7 main street in Bisbee. My go-to place. I could spend hours in there...indeed I have spent hours in there!! 3 floors of interesting stuff.

Love this store, something for everyone.
