Such a cool place to come for all ages and at a great price. You choose how much or how little you want to spend. We spent 4 hours there and didn't even do or see everything there. We'll be back! Also, I highly recommend you get the biggest bucket for gem mining and split it between your group. We got so many amazing things and it was well worth the money.

Something for families of all sizes and interests. Gem mining, fishing, carousel, animal exhibits, barnyard animals and plenty of room for picnic by the playground. Feed the ducks or just enjoy the view on a pretty day. Parking is free and the animal exhibits are only a couple bucks and shorter walks for younger children.

Great park with plenty of activities to do. There's plenty of shelters to celebrate birthdays or to have barbecues. The lake is beautiful and you can feed the ducks. There's a small zoo, a train, a carousel, and a big playground.

Our family enjoyed our visit to the Park. This place is perfect for little ones. We enjoyed the carousel, train, zoo & gem mining. Splash area wasn’t open yet because it was April. Prices were great too. Tons of picnic tables around so pack a lunch. We didn’t get to the playground but it looked but it looked big.

We visited for the first time recently. The weather was so hot, so our visit wasn’t as long as it could have been. There are so many attractions that a family could easily spend the entire day here. My children loved the carousel and the wildlife adventure. They would have liked the train more without the tunnels because it was so hot inside of them, but they still enjoyed it. There were many people there the day that we went, including several church groups, and the park didn’t feel crowded. Most attractions range from $.50-$2 per person. They do accept credit cards in the building attached to the train attraction. You can purchase all of your attraction tickets there. I noticed that the ticket booth at the wildlife attraction had a sign that said cash only, but we used a card to buy ours in the other building. I recommend packing a lunch and bringing plenty of water. They host a fall festival that sounds like a lot of fun. We plan to come back for it.

Camped here for the first time this weekend. The campground is heavily wooded giving a private feel despite a fully booked weekend. Each site is electric and water only so be prepared with an external tank if staying longer than a couple days. I have ATT and had great cell coverage and was able to use my phone as a hotspot. The park itself was great for my three year old. She loved riding the train, see the animals, and playing on the playground. The splash pad was a good spot to cool down with plenty of seating for parents. The concession stand was well staffed and plenty of treats for the hot summer day. Restrooms were clean.

It's a beautiful park! You can walk around thw whole lake, and its a nice walk. The ducks are cute and will follow you around. The campground is nice. My only complaint would be that all the activities close early.

This place was pretty amazing!! I was invited for a child's bday party. 1st time ever coming to this park. It has it all. Putt putt, playgrounds, Merry Go Round, Train, rock mining and so much more! I didn't have time to explore it all. I'll definitely be taking my boys here again!!

Dan Nicholas Park is a 425-acre park located 8 miles southeast of Salisbury in Rowan County. The park was created with a gift of 330 acres of land from Mr. Dan Nicholas in 1968. Mr. Dan Nicholas was a local entrepreneur and philanthropist. Dan Nicholas. The park offers a 10-acre lake for paddle boating and fishing, a nature center, tennis courts, picnic shelters, the Hurley Family Water Plaza, playgrounds, volleyball, horseshoes, ball fields, miniature golf, a carousel, gem mining, a freshwater aquarium, animal habitats, a miniature train ride for children and more. Attractions vary by season of the year. We took our grandson here a few years ago and had a ball!!! If you're ever looking for something to do with children in the Salisbury, NC area, this is a good choice.

This park is huge. There are a lot of walking trails. Also a big lake with fish,ducks and geese. You can buy food for them there and feed them. You can use pedal boats and navigate on the water. There's a big camping area. You can rent a place and come here and stay for few days with your family or rent a small house as well. They have a big playground for children. They would love to play there. There's a carousel and train for children. Everything is kept well. I just explore 50 % of this park but there's more to see and walk. I recommend this park for activities and for relaxing time with your family

This cemetery is steeped in history, is well maintained and an honorable resting place for our nations Veterans and their family members.

I rated this Historical Monument 5 stars because our heroes deserve nothing less. This massive graveyard also contains Dixonville Cemetery which I also discovered. Truly a lot of meaningful and interesting History here.

We visited the cemetery today and it was so beautiful, serene and well cared for! There are only two gentlemen who take care of the grounds and it shows that they treat it as a place of honor to our service men and women who are buried there! The director (Jasper Edwards) and the veterans/staff that support the cemetery are truly amazing. They are helpful, kind and patient. At a time in your life when you need those qualities, they exceeded all expectations on the services provided.

Mom’s burial is today at 1:00. She will be with dad now. Dad was in the Air Force and flew several fighters. The last being the F-104 Starfighters. Mom was a loving mom and wife. She worked a great deal with the United Methodist Church in Griffin Ga. Everyone she ever New was considered family.

Free, but appreciates donations. Off Main St in Salisbury NC. Inside an old courthouse. Some interesting exhibits. Had fun. Recommend!

Very interesting place. Friendly staff who have additional information about the history of Salisbury, North Carolina. Cheerwine exhibit was kind of COOL! I needed more time to explore so I will be going back again. Like it very much. :^)

We wanted to go to the Rowan Museum after church; but they are not opened. So we walked around and looked at the beautiful flowers and artwork. There is a beautiful outside area behind the Museum. There are benches to sit and enjoy nature, the beautiful flowers, and a birdhouse. We have visited the Museum several times and enjoy learning from the exhibits.

Nice little museum. Docent was extremely nice and let us in early as didn't realize it didn't open until 1 and we were there before noon. Quaint downtown area and the church next to the museum was beautiful but locked so no seeing inside.

Very educational. Learned a lot about Rowan County that I had no idea had occurred. Very well worth your time.

Interesting history here. Have a docent share the archeology of the site. Lots to be learned about this over 250 year old site. Check times when house is open to the public. Grounds are interesting, too, if you're a history buff. Much of what is known about the site is only available by speaking with a knowledgeable guide. Events here add tremendously to the experience. Literature about the history would be a welcome onsite addition. Check out the creek behind the house down the trails and the cemetery across the street.

Drove 2 hours got a hotel room got to the Stone House Saturday at 1:10 p.m. not a soul in sight and everything locked up tight the website said it was open someone needs to take better care of the website this was Memorial Day weekend but not a word on the website about it being closed actually it said open from 1:00 to 4:00 very disappointed we even called the Historical Society the day before and they told us that it would be open

This is a cool place to visit. Everything was authentic and you could really visualize how they lived back then.

We decided to visit the Old Stone House on a whim. It was really interesting. People dressed in costume, period foods to sample, period music and a small battle reinactment. We learned a lot and intend to go back for Oktoberfest!

Tour guide was so friendly and very knowledgeable! We had a great time learning about this amazing house as well as the family that lived there.

We have been coming here many years and absolutely love it. They have reasonable prices, comfortable seating, superb sound and lighting, great productions, and most of all, skilled and talented directors, actors and actresses and support people. I give them my strongest recommendation.

Went to see A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder. It was delightful. The play was well acted and funny. The seats were comfortable and the temperature was well regulated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend

I am giving two stars as it’s a nice venue with kind staff. I was excited to see the adaptation of The Christmas Carol Musical - December 18th the last performance - as I have seen so many over four decades. Unfortunately, it was unappealing to my friend and me. I get some of the twists put into it but it didn’t illicit any laughs or even a chuckle. I didn’t enjoy the songs really. It was just off. I heard one guy laughing but I was like why is he laughing? Definitely wouldn’t go to that particular adaptation again. The worst part was an older lady constantly coughing in the seat and immediate row behind us for two hours. She did not remove herself nor was she removed. I was concerned about exposure due to the current RSV, Flu, and Covid climate and I not yet had any of those. Unfortunately, I’m writing this review from my bed as I tested positive for my first case of Covid 7 days after this experience. NOTE to people who are sick, please stay home!!!

I very much enjoyed the tour of this beautiful house. The tour guides had so much information to share and it was fascinating to hear about the transformations this building underwent throughout its history. The only thing I wish this museum and others would include would be the stories from the African American community's perspective. They were undoubtedly part of this history, and it would only enrich the experience to hear from them directly as well.

It's a wonderful place never seen a more complete historical site before the ladies that help run it are very very nice the place even still has the furniture from when it was built in 1820

One of my favorite places in Salisbury! Love the history! And what has been done to the house in recent years has been very well done. Great job! The volunteers are always welcoming and full of information.

This is such a wonderful place. I kept coming back here whenever I could. It is amazing that this house has been preserved with all the original belongings of the families that lived here. It is like stepping in a time capsule and find yourself in the time of the Civil War. This house is therefore very important from a historical perspective. It still has the slave dwelling in the backyard. It is quite unique that this was preserved. You really must have a look inside and imagine how they have lived here. And then imagine that this is even one of the 'better' locations. At least with a wooden floor. And there is even some wallpaper, leftovers from the main house. Visit this house in December if you can, when it is lovely decorated for Christmas.

I visited this house on October Tour. The house was beautiful. I like the restoration work that the Salisbury foundation does. I'm glad these houses are being preserved and are open to the public to view.

This is an unusual museum, because it allows you to physically walk through the rooms of an 1860s home. 80% of the house is open for tour. The only rooms not available are for maintenance, and tour guide costume storage. This is also one of the few places you can see and enter an original slave quarters and kitchen, an important part of southern history that is frequently ignored outside of text. Most structures like this have been dismantled for parts throughout the centuries, but this one was turned into a garage. The Historical Foundation restored it a few years back, and it is open for tour with documents about what we know of the people who lived there.

This flea market has a wide variety of items from new to vintage. Plan on spending the day. There is also a food court that has pretty good food. Also has services at decent prices. Worth taking a walk around to get familiar with everything this market has to offer.

Exactly what I’d expect from a flea market. Lots of interesting household goods. New and used, a crazy amount of power tools from all the major brands, men’s and ladies clothing, toys, and funnel cakes and Latino food thrown in for good measure!

If they ain't got it, you don't need it! This is one of the finest flea markets you'll ever visit. Good deals in every building and stuff you just can't find anywhere else. My wife loves the boiled peanut man down at the end under the big sheds.

3+ stars Flea market- garage sale- clearance dollar store- used junk shop. This place was interesting. At least 100 vendors. Lots of stuff for sale. Pallets of Amazon returns, clothing used and clearance. laundry detergents by the bottle, jug, 5 gallon bucket, dogs, chickens, goats and more animals, used car parts, tires wheels very few crafters or homemade items. Lots of Mexican food, candies clothing. A little bit of furniture mostly store clearance. Go? Sure why not, Buy? Wish I found something I needed left with all the money I came with…translation- nothing I needed or wanted.

Nice place and it seems very organized. Some stores were closed but still there were a lot of things to see. There are a lot of overpriced items, but if you look careful you can find some gems. Be careful with your wallet, when it gets crowded, you might find yourself with no wallet if you are not careful. A lot of tools and antiques, worth stopping by. Traffic to get out sucks, het ready to wait 15-20 minutes to get out!

First time here today. I really enjoyed it. Not that many outside vendors because of the chance of rain but still some cool stuff. It’s bigger than most flea markets. Bottom line, there is something here for everybody. It looked very organized and clean. Plenty of parking. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend this place

I jump in-between the two flea markets that surround Charlotte. This one is a good size with many vendors. It's best to go in theoring perhaps, after 10am. They have a variety of vendors that offer the usual and some unusual things. I believe they don't have the furniture store anymore. There a few food places which I included in my photos. So you may not need to go anywhere to find food while or after shopping.

The produce and homemade things are good, as well as other booths such as crazy toys. However, the majority of booths are full of junk you could buy on Temu or Amazon :/ and the very concerning exotic animal booth…

There are outdoor vendors that appear to come and go with the seasons and more permanent indoor vendors. But honestly the selection is not very good 60 to 70% of the vendors are all selling the same thing, prices seem a little high in order for you to negotiate a better deal, as a flea market you can find half items, open boxes, partial sets and of course you can offer find things that don't work so shop accordingly. It's worth a look on a Saturday morning if you have a few hours where you can just walk around.

Nice Brewery with a good selection of a variety of different styles of beer. The beers were good. The bartender was friendly, helpful and professional. The tasting room and restrooms were clean. They have a nice outdoor seating area. I would recommend this place for craft beer fans and will be back to try other beers.

It was a lot smaller than I expected. The beer was still good and the outdoor area was nice. I've always been a fan of how creative they are with the Griffin series.

Very Cozy inside. Bartender was very pleasant. Was nice that puppers are allow and even get their pic taken for their instagram.

Always a great place to visit and have a few beers. Staff is always cordial whether picking up or dropping in. Their Griffin Series is a true highlight when you get to try one of those beers, but you really can't go wrong in finding something you'll like there.

The new owners have been renovating the place and it looks very nice. Most of the food is good, some needs more seasoning or flavor. Great spot to go if you don’t want to get out of the boat. They’ve added 2x4s to tie your boats up to so they won’t float off (which is nice). Nice staff. Very busy during the warmer months.

I can't say enough good things about Tamarac's grill. The food is always good, no matter what you get. Their specials are great. The staff is excellent and all help each other. We love the atmosphere at this waterside grill. Highly recommend. Get the corn nuggets!!

I love the atmosphere and all the waitstaff is wonderful! They (especially the sisters, Gabrielle and Olivia) always know what my party of three is drinking. Michelle’s recipes are the best (especially meatloaf!) and I love going there for an early dinner after work!

Met a group of 30+ here this morning for breakfast to celebrate a friends birthday. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Michelle took great care of us. Have also had dinner here and regularly stop for fried shrimp and wings as snacks while boating. We live on the lake and am thankful for this restaurant that we can boat to.

1st timer. Heard the food was good so we tried it. Lots of food choices. Had the ribeye steak . Prefect! Not a thick cut but a large medium cut like I like it with two side and a roll. The sides were good. Even the roll was more tasty than most. So much food took half my steak home. Great price. It was packed with people and the only downside was the time it took to get waited on and to get our food.

It's a ride to get there, but worth it. Food is great and daily specials priced well, specially weekends. Always very busy. Atmosphere is relaxed. Great place to come in off the lake and eat. Food/adult beverages/convenience items. Indoor/outdoor seating. Mom/pops feel.

I visited recently with my son & father during a day of fishing at High Rock Lake. We decided to come here for lunch since we could just dock the boat, grab a bite, and get right back to fishing 😀 The food was great, and the service was fast & friendly. Our total was $21 for 3 meals, large portions (especially the tasty seasoned fries!), so I had leftovers. The store had just about everything you could need for a trip to the lake. They had convenience store items, fishing gear & supplies, tools & parts for boats, tobacco products, and even hemp products (delta 8 & others, like pre-rolls, carts, disposable devices, & edibles). Thanks for having us. We will return!

We like going in here but for the last year or so it seems like their merchandise is not moving as well as it use to. Same items in each booth. But to my shock when we we're there last week they have put a lock on the bathroom door with a sign you have to pay to use their bathroom!! Really?!?! I understand the problems people face with items being stolen & all but this was really insane to think I had to pay to pee!

Every time I am in my hometown I have to go to the store. It has become almost like a family tradition. Someone always ends up buying something really awesome. My only issues are that even if you buy stuff they still charge you to use the restroom and that some of the items are a bit over priced. Otherwise, this is a great store even just to walk through. There little rooms set up filled with all sorts of antiques from crocheted afghans to wooden hobby horses to framed art to dining sets.

Neat antique/vintage store, but extremely rude staff the last time I visited the store. My mother politely asked one of the men working at the store if he would please open one of the locked cases for her so she could look at a Native American storyteller doll, which she collects. The man was extremely rude and acted as if he did not want to open the case for her because he would have to get up out of his chair. I have never experienced something like this before. If I were the vendor renting the booth from this establishment I would be very upset because you lost a sale due to an extremely rude staff member.

Although some of the merchandise is great, i was a little disappointed by the staff's attitude/ abruptness. Also, if you need to use the restroom, you will have to pay to do so, which will come of any purchase you make.

I honestly cannot say enough about this beautiful vineyard! (cannot believe I have not posted a review until now, thought I already did lol) We've been coming up for quite a few years now and I don't mind at all that it takes 2 hours to do so. The first time driving up I was a little unsure, but walking in all doubts faded. Great selection of wines from dry to sweet, and I really could drink them all the time! The dry wines don't feel too dry on the pallet, but the semis feel like the best of both worlds-way too easy to drink. The views are gorgeous when the weather changes. Picking grapes at the end of summer is hot but worth it (and the muscadine smell in the air is so pleasant). It is back out of the way so it is easy to just pick a spot on the grass or bring a hammock and spend an entire afternoon. I could go on and on, but what really brings us back are the people! It felt like home from the first visit, and Mrs. Anita always treats us like family.

Loved the experience so much that we have decided to use this wonderful place for 1 of the choices to serve our wedding guest.

This beautiful winery is a mile from my house and it is one of the best kept secrets in Rowan County. The wine is great and the scenery is to die for. The owners are so gracious and kind too! Definitely give it a try!

Great place to visit and sample a variety of white and Red wines. Host is very knowledgeable. My second time there and am already looking forward to my next visit. Strawberry wine is very good especially in a slushy only way it could be better is if they had been playing Deana Carter singing her hit song Strawberry wine!!!!

I was at a showcase for student artwork. I really enjoyed the artwork and the space. Several of the artists that have studios there, were present as well. The artists were very friendly and happy to talk about their work. I am by no means a typical art gallery patron, but I really enjoyed this one.

Love the gallery! All the artists were incredibly kind, it was great talking with them! I will definitely bring some friends or family here when in town!

Great atmosphere and service. Good cold beer and awesome hand breaded onion rings. Delicious! My shrimp taco was a little lacking in flavor and in my opinion less is more with tacos because it was kinda messy. My wife’s chicken tacos were everywhere to but they tasted really good. At first they brought her out the wrong tacos but quickly fixed the problem and gave her free dessert so she was stihappy. I really liked the decorations and the way it was put together. We will be going back, and hopefully on a Friday or Saturday to enjoy live music.

Lee Street offer top of the line entertainment in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere! With an intimate, black box style space you are always surprised at the format of what you will be seeing. You can take drinks and snacks in from the bar. And enjoy dining at nearby restaurants. A great night out!

This is a wonderful theater space. Sound, lighting, seating, parking, etc. I saw a great cast perform David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross with so much passion and energy, I wish I could go back and see it again. Congratulations to the production team!

The theatre in itself is pretty wonderful, but our experience tonight was a little bit iffy. We saw Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical. Let me start off by saying that the cast is wonderful! It would've been 5 stars easily if we could've heard what the actors were singing, but the music was way too loud. We were told at intermission that it was because of where we were sitting, but apparently SEVERAL other people all over the theatre had the same issue. It was pretty disappointing because I wanted to hear what was going on!! We literally missed more than half of the dialogue/story. The actors are SO talented. The second half was a little better, but one person's mic went out and didn't get fixed for about 20 minutes. Aside from that, when the music was down/not playing, there was no issue. But I will say, even with that as a pretty major problem, the actors did INCREDIBLE. I don't want to take anything away from that. Jekyll/Hyde, Lucy, and Emma all did a fantastic job. I would love to see them all again in the future - when I can actually hear them!

Wonderful evening at the theater to see A Christmas Pageant. Lots of people and kids we know were in the play. I forgot how good this play is as I was taken on a light hearted journey that ended in tears when “Mary” finally learns the meaning of Christmas. I also love when the audience is part of the play like when the preacher interacts with the audience in what seems like intermission but is actually part of the play. Go see it!!

Edit after Jekyll & Hyde: Loved every second of it. Saw it on Saturday 10/14/2023 and I just can't get it out of my head. It. Was. Phenomenal. I agree with the other recent review where some scenes were hard to hear the voices, which could very well have been where I was sitting, but it didn't bother me that much. It definitely only affected a minority of the scenes. As the musical went on it evened out and I was just blown away from all the talent. May be one of my favorite musicals I have seen. I can't get enough Lee Street. Original Review: Went to go see The Mousetrap over this past weekend and loved the show. All of the actors/actresses were fantastic and I really felt like the characters were brought to life for me! I'm really hoping to see the cast show up in other productions because they were all great. This was the first time being to Lee St. All of the employees were super friendly and helpful. The theater was small and intimate. I felt everyone had a great spot to watch all the action. Loved it. Would recommend and I'm definitely going to be looking for any opportunity to come back. Already snagged some seats for Jekyll & Hyde!

Just experienced Tock Tick Boom at the Lee Street Theater Lab. It was very well done. The best part was the quality of the performers, especially Matt Carlson. This actor was amazing. He would do well on Broadway or in movies. His acting was excellent, but his singing reached another level. It was Grammy, Tony, and Oscar worthy. I would highly recommend following this man’s career, and would recommend Lee Street Theater.

First time here and went to see Dracula Staff was very nice. Place was a small theater but very nice. Seats were comfortable. The play was Great. Nicely recreated. Actors did a Great job. I will make plans to see another one.

Never know what you will find. Most prices are decent. I like the new space they've added but prices in this area were a little more than I'd want to pay for (ex. Photo with broken glass for $132) but this won't stop me fron going back to shop because I love to find hidden treasures.

Where are the projects you build for people in need showcase images to see if you really helping ....im tired of seeing companies like these advertise their donations toward helping ppl in need yet they sell everything too expensive ...someone is getting really rich no doubt bout it

Love habitat for humanity !! You can really find some neat & cool things ! Just be mindful when your getting things loaded into your car /truck ( if you have them do it , this was 2 younger guys 20 something's ) tell them to be careful because I had a piece of furniture loaded into my car and my bumper got some stuff marks/scratches on it & I got no apology unfortunately . 😢 Wasn't exactly thrilled .

This place is a joke way too overpriced and for things that are not even in the good condition—they really take advantage of people here and all of their inventory stays the same because it’s overpriced.

It is way too crowded and extremely overpriced especially since everything they have was given to them.

Best place in town to shop! Great staff. Selection is always wonderful and fun. You never know what your going to find. It's like going on a treasure hunt. The prices are so low it's almost shameful. Anything that plugs in has been checked to make sure it works or it wouldn't be there. I'm still kicking my butt about the Sears Kenmore gas range for $45 I let get away.

I went in to find some furniture and the prices were absolutely ridiculous. I don't think they understand the type of people that shop here aren't in the greatest situation financially. I'm positive that rich folks aren't shopping here for sure. So whoever is responsible for making these price decisions is absolutely out of their mind. You're better off finding better quality stuff at a yard sale or even walmart or on the side of the road lol..anywhere else but here. I used to shop here often but I don't think I'll ever return. Not worth it anymore. Bye, girl

Place is a joke—prices are outrageous and most the stuff is JUNK!

This is a great Restore for thrift store addicts. Well arranged and clean. It is not the typical Restore tat I am used to; the focus is less on hardware and construction items and more on furnishings from furniture to kitchen stock. I found great prices and very helpful staff. This place is huge! Definitely will return.

Great facility! Catawba College has really impressive athletic complexes, beautiful campus in a great area. Enjoyed our visit.

I love going to the football games and watching my nephew and the team play. The concessions stand have plenty to chose from when buying food. They offer beer. But I have not brought any. People were very friendly. Clean restrooms.

Travelers, this is the place to watch a college football game. The crowd loves the home team. The band is small but hearty and they love the team too. All in all a fun time is had here. Or tail gate. Check it out. We recommend.

Very nice stadium....good concessions

Watched my son's lacrosse game. It's a nice stadium with new turf field. Do to covid a minimal experience, but still a nice time.
