If you love waterfalls Watkins Glen State Park is the place for you. The Gorge trail is about 1.5 miles one way and follows the Glen Creek through tunnels carved into the rock, next to many waterfalls and you actually walk under two waterfalls. While there are over 800 stairs it is an easy trail because you stop so often to take in the views. Having said that the trail is definitely not handicap accessible. Use the main entrance as it gives you the best views. If you choose not to walk back there is a shuttle at the upper parking lot that will take you back to the main parking lot. Entrance to the park is free but there is a $10 parking fee. You can park on the street for two hours for free. I recommend going early in the morning to avoid the crowd which can get in the way of your pictures. Going late afternoon will give you a beautiful rainbow at Rainbow Falls as the water catches the sun.

Visited here last year with family and plan to go here many more times. You start from the top or the bottom of the loop either way is a wonderful experience. All the waterfalls and scenic views were just thrilling and picture worthy. Very well maintained park and area. It is a must item to have on any buckle list for outdoor excursions.

Stunning place to visit. Lots of trail options and most being dog friendly. Expect stairs and a fair few muddy areas so dress sensibly especially with some waterfalls spilling over and getting you wet. Some signage issues and things not so clear but overall great place to visit. Quite busy and seems to be a big tourist spot for some bus tours so expect busy and tightly packed paths

This place is spectacular. 100% reco a stop. There are a lot of stairs and it is muddy in places so wear proper shoes and consider bringing a hiking stick. The waterfalls are just amazing. There is parking just outside the park, but you can also find parking in town for free if it’s not a busy day. Dogs are only allowed on the higher trails, so suggest leaving them at home if you want to see the best parts of the gorge!

It is an amazing place to visit. More than 1.5 miles of scenic gorge, waterfalls, and beautiful nature. And many miles more trails in the woods. Make sure you are wearing good hiking shoes. The walkways are wet, sometimes muddy, and can be slippery. The park offers some truly breathtaking views. Thousands of stunning photo opportunities. All the amenities you could need are here. Several gift shops, rest rooms, sitting areas, food, parking, playground, grills and picnic areas, etc. Admission to the park itself is free. However, it will cost you 10 dollars to park your car for the day. This is a park you will remember for life. I highly recommend you check it out.

I visited 3/29/22. The parking and entry were both free due to it being the off season. It’s in a busier area so not ideal for those seeking a more undisturbed nature type setting. The main gorge trail as well as the welcome center and bathrooms were closed for the season. They had porta-potties outside. The trials I went on that were open were pet friendly. There was some ice but nothing crazy, it was the worst on the suspension bridge as I recall. Some of the trails leading out of the park towards the south entrance indicated that they went in directions they didn’t aka the temporary signage they put up could’ve been better. I saw two other small groups of people there while I was. Overall it was a pretty sight to see and I would revisit again in the summer/fall if given the opportunity.

Amazing Views and trails. The mountains with beautiful creative shapes into amazing waterfalls. We did park our car at the bottom and took shuttle all the way up, shuttle charges 6 dollar per person. We started Indian trail from top going down with lot of look outs with good views. We were 4 adults and 3 kids so with kids it's easy to take Indian trail. They also have gorge trail which has amazing view but lot if stairs but would be totally worth it. Definitely worth visiting

Watkins Glen State Park was well worth the almost 2 hour trek from Syracuse! This was our first hike in New York and it was so worth it! $10 admission at the gate... No problem it is worth all of it! The Park and water falls were breathtaking! There are a lot of stairs but the views make up for it. I have never been to a place that has a different great view around every turn. The pictures don't do it justice. This is a must see location for any trip close to the area or even 2 hours away!

Definitely the Grand Canyon of EC !! Beautiful picturesque location, great scenery . I would recommend entering via South Entrance that way you can save on a few steps and still cover the entire park in the 3 mile loop. Wear rainproof clothing and good hiking boots as the rocks and the pathway can get slippery. Lots of crowds on weekends, if possible for good photos visit on weekdays..

Beautiful place in the winter leaving me wanting to come back! Unfortunately (although for good reason), the gorge trail is closed in the winter time. However, the rim trails are still open, providing for some spectacular views in a way that feels different than what you would see in the summer. It truly is a magical place with the snow and ice.

Beautiful and awe inspiring views and waterfalls!! Incredible to see the formation of this spectacular gorge!! An absolute MUST see!! Just make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing as well as bring water! This is an incredible walk with many... 822 steps to be exact to conquer! You can however start at the upper parking lot. And when you get to the bottom. You can take the shuttle back to your car. I suggest that for anybody with little ones or if you haven't done much cardio or steps. Very intense but definitely worth it!!

Awesome state park in Western New York. The must see is the 1.5 mile Gorge trail featuring great scenery with multiple waterfalls, stone bridges and the Gorge/river itself. You can combine this for a 3 mile walk with the indian trail and make it a loop. Neither trails are particularly difficult, other than a steep staircase at the end of the Gorge trail. No dogs allowed on the Gorge trail. There is a small visitor center, but it didn't look like there was any seating inside. Parking is $10 but I got there early enough to utilize the free 2 hour street parking.

Very nice park to visit. Proper footwear and clothing recommended for safety. Areas are often wet and could very slippery. Bring water as there is no place to buy one after you start your walk and unfilled you finish on the other end. Many waterfalls, colorful flowers (visited end of August).

One of the best state park with small river ripping thru stones and presenting natural curves and shapes. Definitely worth visiting.

Very easy hike with beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend coming peak foliage and if you want to avoid crowds, try getting there before 10am. The hike itself is only took an hour and a half to go there and back; 2 hours if you're taking your time and stopping to take pictures. Parking is $10 for the day.

We have been for several times, and this place, definitely, the best place ever! It took us about 2 hours, you need to have snacks, comfortable clothes and sneakers! Go ahead 😀

Nice little pier to sit and have dinner and drinks while overlooking Seneca lake. Visited this during LDW 2020 after finishing Watkins Glen State Park trail. This place is beautiful.

Beautiful Seneca lake in Wakin's Glen! Lots to do in quaint town or nearby with little shops, resturants, state park with waterfalls, hiking, boating, cruises, antiques, wineries, and race track!

A beautiful bike ride up Hwy 14. The hills were gradual and the wineries were about 2 miles apart.

Absolute beauty and serene place to be. A reasonable place to taste wine and take tours if you want. There are lots of wineries so you might end up getting confused which one to choose.

Really quiet awaiting summer racetrack traffic. Pretty & quaint 700ft lake has tourboats, kayak rentals, patio dining, nearby hotel, & Cardboard Regatta entries by June 10. Marina & Bar/restraunt and nearby wine tour pick ups.

Nice place to sit and relax on a beautiful day! Plenty of restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Nice little town with tons of history.

Great place to see Seneca Lake and take pictures in the afternoon as the sun sets over the water. there's a ferry ride you can take as well as several restaurants within walking distance. Watkins Glen State Park which is amazing is only about a mile away. Well worth the visit.

WG is a great track. Lots of variation. High style all the way to camping. The track and vendors are all cashless - another nice touch. We enjoyed the six-hour IMSA main. More, and longer access to the cars would have been nice. The access and facility maps online absolutely suck! Parking is not clear in regards to who can park where. The maps look like the pdf of a pamphlet (in 2023).

Was having a test run the day we visited, free entry to view the track! A place you can go to say, I have been there! Hate we will miss the big Nascar races next weekend.

We went here for a free viewing of a car club and then paid to Drive the Glen. I think they do this most days as noon and 5. The staff was very friendly and it was a really cool experience. We got to drive around the track 3 times and stopped for pictures at the start/finish line.

Love coming here. One of the absolute best tracks in the country. If you're a car person this needs to be on your list.

Opening day 2022!! I try to make it every year! Always a good time! Rain and a little hail this year but that didn't stop the Rochester Corvette Club! We showed up 20 Corvettes strong!!

Amazing ! So much fun exploring all over the grounds! Got to see all the Cars, Garages, pits, and many different vantage points of the very large track! First time doing an event like this and we thoroughly enjoyed it ! Would love to come back for a legit big Nascar race! Many food and drink options . We did free parking in the back lots and it was pretty convenient to just walk over!

Watkins was a great experience. In the stands around the track offer great visibility. I love the fact that you can walk through the paddocks to see the teams. Overall awesome experience and Family oriented track.

Great track and lively crowd. Lots of events, vendors & good vibes all around the track. The only negative was I bought seats behind the pit, which I thought was premium… until I essentially had to walk to Mars and back in order to get to them; only one way into the pit seats, and one ways out. Of course I parked at the lot on the other side of where I should have. This is all a verbose way to say, “Prepare to walk.” This isn’t a negative, but it is a warning. 😉

Great time here racing. The track concession stand food is some of the worst track food I've ever eaten, be aware of this when you go there. The saving grace was a local pizza joint that had a pizza oven there, and it was great!

Did two sessions of Diving the Glen on a gorgeous Friday afternoon. For $30 you get to do 3 laps and stop to take pictures on the second lap. Had a great time taking the old 1972 Vette around. Great experience that I'll remember for life.

I was here for the Gridlife event. Nice place, super clean and landscaped. It is a large place that had a small hometown feel. Nice location in the countryside. Staff were helpful and friendly. Looking forward to being back in the future

Great track with a deep history. Local PD could do a better job emptying the track, took us an hour to go 2 miles. Also, the PA system is garbage and the Jumbotrons are…. Not jumbo - having good screens and good audio is key on road tracks. That said, many bring/rent radios so maybe not a huge concern. Love this track.

Always a phenomenal time. The vintage car races are Is the highlight of my summer. I absolutely adore open nature of the race track and the ability to walk the pets and move around for different vantage points.

Lotsa walking, great place, super friendly fans. Depending on where you sit, you may or may not need ear protection. In general admission this time, however next I will be in the stands. Awesome time! Must be a tradition to toss your mts to the infield

I have visited for the Sahlen's IMSA race, and I am so surprised that the attendance was low. Hopefully it has risen since 2021, because this location is awesome. The hilltop views from the grandstands are amazing, and add to the already perfect location of Watkins Glen.

Was a good time. People were great. But the place is nowhere near what I expected from a Nascar owned facility. What are they doing with all that $$ they're making? Sure ain't putting it into that track! Year 2 update. It seems they put a little $ into the facilities since I was here last. There was some updated signage and there may have been some "fresh" paint (at least fresh as in sometime in the past year) but there is still random wires and cables hanging all over the garages, door seals dangling in the breeze when the doors are up, light fixtures that probably haven't seen a cleaning since they were put up Not that you could tell without really looking hard because a third of them are burnt out, and most of the working bulbs are so dim they don't do much to light the garage work areas. What amazes me the most is how worn out the outlets are! You plug something in and the weight of the cord pulls the plug right out of the socket! You literally have to redneck engineer them with duct tape to keep them plugged in! I'm honestly surprised the place hasnt burnt to the ground from an electrical fire because of them!! I will say the people are very nice and the restrooms were clean and well stocked. The rest of the place and most of their equipment has long since past the point where the saying 'it's seen better days" would still be appropriate. It honestly looks like the only place they have spent money is where the public spends their money and where the rich people hang out. They have left the behind the scenes areas that make it function as a Race Track to decay to the point it's almost not enjoyable to go and put on the show that's bringing in the people to buy the WAY OVERPRICED souvenirs!

First time visiting a winery. There were about 10 of us on the tour with a seasoned guide who had a great wit and interesting comment’s interspersed throughout the hour long walk through the vineyard. He poured several different wines for us to try along the walk. Some of his language was too technical for me being a novice but he was willing to answer all my questions.

It was a great experience, kind ans attentive customer service. We did a wine tasting, most of the wines won an award and I particularly loved the Muscat 2021 and the Long Stem White 2021. Pd. There are trails open to the customers.

Decided to hit Lakewood on a rainy late-April Sunday for the facility tour and tasting. Tracey guided the tour (only 4 of us, but that made for extra attention and Q and A) and took us through several phases of the wine-making process on the winery grounds. Very unique perspective on the production and history of wine, future goals for the industry and ways to reach consumers. Learned more on this tour than any other wine tour I've been on; friendly, fun, knowledgeable, experienced and extremely inviting and outgoing. This was a A+ attraction and helped me find out more about the things I look for in wine.

Beautiful winery, good views(despite the smoke in the air). Friendly staff, good wine, Reasonable pricing on tastings. Great dogs. Would definitely recommend stopping.

This is one of our favorite wineries/vineyards that we visited on our trip. We enjoyed our tasting out under the heated deck with a great view of the lake. Our server was attentive and informative in suggesting wines we might like and adding a few extra samples. We also enjoyed walking the grounds through the vineyard with a glass of wine.

This is our favorite Seneca Lake winery. Super nice staff and we love the dogs that are often there to greet the customers. Another plus is they haven't bought into the 10 dollar tasting fee most other wineries are charging. Awesome winery.

Love Lakewood Vineyards. Of the wineries were visited this was the best for wine and vineyard views. You can't see the lake from it though. It's the only winery I saw where everyone was checking out with huge numbers of bottles. The wine tasting was fun too as they do it with everyone together at the same time every 15 mins or so. First place I'd go if back in the area.

Lakewood was our favorite Seneca Lake stop this visit. It's in close proximity to Watkins Glen, and I would encourage you to stop in and pay them a visit. This is a third generation winery with some great history. Jordyn who took care of us (part of the family) is super knowledgeable, charming and wise beyond her years. She provided great insight and guided us to some fantastic wines. Lakewood has a nice view of the lake from both inside and out. The vineyard is just off the deck as well. We were able to take advantage of an outdoor tasting. They added permanent heaters which is a nice touch. The price for tastings are reasonable, for what the area is charging. They do provide you with a wooden token, that you can use as a discount off a couple bottles of wine. Hardly anyone does that anymore and we appreciated as it's a nice touch. UPDATE: We visited again (Aug 2023) and Lakewood remains our favorite winery in the region. Great family run location with knowledgeable staff, relaxed atmosphere and some great views. They did allow us to take the trail down to the gazebo with a glass of wine, which was an added bonus this trip. Catherine made our experience even better!

This is a huge place but extremely well done with great wines, friendly staff and many places to relax and enjoy their offerings. We bought several bottles after a very enjoyable wine tasting experience.

We came to Lakewood Vineyards for a tasting on a trip to see the fingerlakes and Watkins Glen. We were met at the door by friendly staff who lead us to the counter for our tasting. A nice gentleman served the wine and explained each one as he poured. Their Niagra wine was our favorite. It was light and fruity, like grape juice. After our tasting we perused the cute gift shop and then headed out to see the vineyards in the back. It was absolutely beautiful! I would definitely recommend coming here.

One thing I learned long ago was that wine tastings like waterfalls are all unique and different. As you pull into the vineyard you are assailed by beautiful buildings, flowers, and grape vines.  The buildings are a great gray wood with red roofs. We even spent some time in the flowers. Coming around the side of the building you can see all the grape vines spread out before you, row after row of vines. The tasting has a greeter that directs you to the cashier which then directs you to the tasting. It is a little confusing but to each their own.  The outdoor tasting area is set up for comfort with nice bar stools, they even have an adjustable shade to block the sun from the tasting patio. The tasting is set up for two versions: a sweet or dry flight. This was the first time we had ever seen this type of setup. We of course got the sweet flight which is really only mildly sweet with semi-dry to semi-sweet. After the tasting we got a cold bottle of the Abby Rose and sat at one of the picnic tables to relax (first most not hiking day!). We watched people play with the dogs, who were really enjoying the extra attention. After a glass we walked down the vineyard to the overlook of Seneca Lake. During the walk passing all the vines really drove home how many grapes were planted!

I came up with my kids on this visit but still wanted to enjoy some wine. I looked up vineyards that were family friendly and Lakewood came highly recommended. I would agree with everything I read!! The staff were super nice, didn’t even blink an eye when my kids came in with me, and our wine guide even gave us extra crackers for the kids. Delco David was amazing as a wine guide/pourer. He was knowledgeable about the wines, friendly, kept up conversation with me while my kids and husband walked around, and overall was awesome. They have 2 tastings for $5 each. I did the dry tasting and liked all but 1 of them. You also get a token when you taste wine that allows you to get $3 off on 2 bottles of wine. Their wine is reasonably priced ($14-20ish). They have a huge vineyard you can walk around and look at the lake and grapevines. They are also dog friendly! Highly recommend!!

This is an older style vineyard, looking more like a manor. The outside is a little rundown with needing painting and a new sign but once you walk in you see a beautiful tasting room. We were given a three flight choice this time: sweet, dry and mixed flight. I tried the sweet while Jammie went with the mixed. After ordering you go sit down which we decided to do on the patio. Again the patio and chairs could use a good round of paint and the deck railing makes it hard to fully enjoy the view of Seneca Lake over the vines. Why don't people build terraced decks!! The tasting is an at your pace of a tasting board which I love. No stress to drink fast or to slow down.  The music in the background also gives it a chill feel. They also have a chalk wall that people write their names on which is such a great idea! The wines were great. As we were leaving the vineyard though we came across some 40-60 ft statues of dinosaurs so we decided to stop. While looking around we came across more dinosaurs in the woods. We started to walk around and get some pictures when a man approached us. We were both worried we had stumbled on some private property but it was the owner of the vineyard out walking his dog. He was seeing up a scene with the dinos in the woods for people to come and view. It got us to stop and he wasnt even done yet. Can't wait too see what it looks like at the end. We also noticed that people were playing disc golf that was set up around the property. This looks like more fun then we gave it credit, definitely worth coming back for!

Very nice light show! Amazing! My 8 years old son is super excited about everything, especially the dinosaurs. Ticket ~$20 per person including wine tasting. The wine made by the boss taste so good. Better than any Christmas lights shows ever.

My friends and I had a horrible experience at this winery. We called ahead to reserve a table and also to give them a heads up that a large group was coming on a winery tour. We had a private area set up for us and that was the extent of the nice service. Our server was extremely rude. She made snide remarks to our group, I caught her rolling her eyes at each of our questions. I also heard her rude comments about us on my way to the bathroom (which smelled like pure sulfur) She made us clear our own table and then refused to tell us where their trashcans were located. We still bought several bottles of wine because the view was great and were trying to make the best of it. However she didn't let us pay for the bottles when we asked and then accused us of stealing said bottles. We clearly were not wanted there and I believe it had to do with us being a bachelorette party. Which is a shame, no bride should be made to feel that way during her special weekend. Especially since we were not rowdy and we still tipped very well and bought food and wine. I will definitely not be returning. The dinosaurs on the way out were the only redeeming quality.

We visited this winery on a rainy day, and still were able to take some awesome pictures. The establishment has a beautiful deck with a great view, and the grounds have a unique style. The lady who did our tasting was very pleasant and welcoming. The wines were light and crisp. Overall we had a good experience.

Discovered this hidden gem nestled in Seneca that is an absolute must-visit. Not only does it boast phenomenal wines, but the warmth of the people and the captivating outdoor decorations and setups add to its charm. A stroll around this enchanting spot, accompanied by a bottle of wine, is an experience truly worth savoring. We will be back again!

Nice collection of dry wines, Chardonnay Reserve was particularly good. Would have preferred if wines were explained, looks like only few tables got that personal touch, it was busy so that may explain it. You can buy charcuterie. Few dinosaurs that are out there are a good hit with kids. Few folks were enjoying disc golf as well. As of October 2021, didn't not appear that the lights mentioned in some of these reviews were up, perhaps we missed it.

Great winery with super nice staff, beautiful and well kept property. You can take a stroll around the property and take in the beautiful views. They didn't have food but they had a good selection of cheeses. I didn't enjoy their wines however.

Fun and unique stop! Great variety of wines, very cool features on the drive in, and a covered porch that is perfect to enjoy some wine while it rains.

We wanted to hit one winery while in wine country and picked this one randomly. SUPER GLAD we did! Wonderful service while tasting, very kind, friendly & knowledgeable! Wines were some of my favorites from the Finger Lakes area. Our favorites? Too many to choose, but we took home the Baco Noir, Chancellor & Winter's Dream. Winery is spacious with a fireplace, deck, and beautiful view, as it sits up higher than most other wineries on the west side of Lake Seneca, it's only a mile or so off of main drag, also offers disc golf on large grounds and looking forward to an amazing light show of lit lanterns coming soon! It's definitely worthy of adding to your Winery stops!

This place is AWESOME!!! I highly recommend making a stop here, even if you don't drink wine. They have a disc golf course and so much to look at and wander around. The view from the balcony of the bar is beautiful. Our experience was so much fun and if we ever venture to this area again, we will likely return. We did wine tastings and they were $10 a person for 5 different wines. I suggest making a reservation because they seem to be a popular place. Their indoor facility and balcony were clean and spacious. Overall a great time with our 10 person group of friends.

Castel Grisch definitely wins an award for being the most unique winery we have been too. When you pull in really jumps out at you with some really unique sights. If you are stopping with kids / grandkids, they would find this place pretty cool. Even for adults it's almost a must see as it is so different. There are even "holes" for disc golf. I can't imagine this place lite up at night. The staff were friendly and the wines were good. We did take a couple bottle home after spending some time relaxing on the patio.

Family friendly, great tasting wine flights, friendly service. Wonderful light displays to see on sight. This was a unique experience, a must see.

What a strange and fascinating place to find while on a camping trip. The wine was fantastic and the service was incredible. Walking around the grounds, while being mindful of disc golfers, was such a cool experience overall. Our group had a great time here and would definitely come back next time we're in the area!

The love of animals and value they provide. We tend to over look those on a farm or within the food industry. This is home to some wonderful Animals who have personalities. Staff have passion and love what they do. Kids and adults will learn and be enlightened. Great work, beautiful country and well maintained.

Phenomenal. Their respect for the animals was a great example for my 2-year old. Seeing the personalities of animals we otherwise think of as simple or stupid is life-changing. I can't wait to go back and hope to volunteer some time. Everyone was friendly, respectful of sensitive material, and helpful. Great gift shop to support the cause, too.

We had a great time on the children's tour. Our guide was excellent. The tour is long enough to see and enjoy all the animals, but short enough to not exceed a child's attention span. You can tell they put this program together with a lot of thought and attention to detail. Although we are not vegans, this did open our eyes more to factory farming.

Truly magical, emotional and informative farm tour. Up close and personal interactions with the animals. I hope more people visit, become educated and support this amazing sanctuary for our fellow sentient beings. Great gift shop with many educational books and vegan cookbooks. Can't wait to visit again in better weather!!

I visited this farm sanctuary at Watkins Glen location with my whole family (two teens) drove from Toronto Canada, in the hope of creating awareness about animal agriculture abuse and impact. When we left the sanctuary after our visit I asked the kids what they would like to have for have for lunch, one said ‘steak’ and another said chicken! I was horrified, that this visit had no effect on my kids. I appreciate the hard work and the good intention of the farm sanctuary, but I doubt if it has the intended effect on the public. It seemed to me like a petting zoo for large animals. On the other hand, if I had taken my family to an animal agriculture industry such as a poultry farm or a meat producing farm they would have become vegan by now. We got to meet many animals and interact with them. The farm is clean and tailored for visitors. I wish they had govt support. I wish the farm sanctuary provided more visual and verbal information about the animal abuse in the meat production industry to drive home the point! I would like them to be more vocal and visual. Nevertheless, I still liked our visit. I plan to go there again and see more of such places . When we met the animals here, we got the feeling that these rescued animals are pampered. When these animals die they are buried in a grave right there. This is the only place (and other such sanctuaries) where animals can live their whole life and die naturally (not at the hands of humans).

The tour was very interesting, informative, and beautiful. Wear hiking boots if you have them as the ground is uneven. All the staff were very knowledgeable and nice. There is a bathroom on the property before the tour. Lots of options at the gift shop ranging from shirts to cookbooks to vegan snacks to buy for the ride home. Expect to spend about an hour here.

This was our second time touring Farm Sanctuary, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The countryside is beautiful, the guides are friendly and knowledgeable, the animals are friendly and well cared for. If you’ve ever wanted to scritch a giant sleeping pig’s belly and have it stick out its feet like a cat enjoying belly rubs, this is the place for you.

Great place to visit for all ages. We started with a quick talk about the origins of the farm, then went to the cows, sheep, goats, and pigs in that order. You get to walk around on your own after the 1 hour guided tour. I enjoyed watching the pigs take a mud bath afterward! They also have a really nice gift shop with quality clothing and a wide assortment of items. I'd recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty as well as closed-toed shoes for walking. The sheep were my favorite part as a bunch of them ran up for pets.

This place is truly magical. The guides are incredibly well educated and provided information in a way that makes such a difficult (but necessary) topic easier to digest and absorb. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend visiting Farm Sanctuary! The gift shop is also very inclusive and includes something educational for everyone!

There's something magical about this beautiful place, a monument to compassion, a testament to what humans can be at our best while also recognizing the tragic origins of the rescued animals and the tens of millions that suffer and die every year, The beauty of the surroundings here is itself heartwarming, as is, ironically, the bucolic farm that harkens back to kinder days of farming, pre-factory farms, extrapolated to what would happen if we cared for these awesome creatures but didn't end up killing them. My daughter has loved this place and the animals since she was two years old. The tours are always good, informative and touching and not at all preachy. People are gently welcomed to discover their own compassion, and it ain't hard to do! If you get the chance to stay at the cabins or tiny houses, you're in for a treat. The staff is really friendly and helpful. There's a gift shop where you can purchase cookbooks, attire, some vegan grocery items, and other books.

Beautiful and inspiring. We came back with our young son after many years. The child tour was perfect, compassionate, fun and inspiring without being too heavy for a child. The grounds are beautiful and my heart always opens up with joy when I see how well these animals are living. Definitely one of my favorite animal sanctuaries I’ve ever visited!

We visited the farm sanctuary and had a great time! We didn’t stay in a cabin just showed up for a visit and took a guided tour. We had such an awesome time and our guide, Alice, was super nice and informative! We got to see and pet lots of the animals and definitely would go back and even consider a volunteer session there!

Our tour guide was Andrew and he was very knowledgeable and engaging. We had a mix of both vegan and non vegan people on our private tour and everyone really enjoyed their experience. The animals are well cared for and this truly is their sanctuary. Such a beautiful place for the animals 💚

Such a wonderful, peaceful, amazing place. We stayed here in the deluxe cabin and it was very spacious and comfortable. The daily tour is a great way to start the morning and meet the residents. Love the way farm sanctuary helps spread the message and educate people about the horrors of factory farming. Go vegan for the animals!

We visited and took the guided tour. It’s such a moving and beautiful experience to see these wonderful animals in a happy and safe environment. They’re clearly very grateful and love human interaction. The stories of the animals we met brought a tear to my eye. These sweet, gentle souls have so much to give to us. I can’t wait to come back for a longer stay next time. God bless the work being done at this place.

It’s a really cool place to see animals up close. It’s not everyday you get to stand by and even pet cows, pigs, goats. They have chickens and ducks and geese as well but they where not out. It’s a very informative place. For the tour you start out in the barn up top where you check in and watch a video presentation. Then your guide will talk about some safety facts and then you’ll head out to see the animals. There’s lots to learn about these animals here and the staff is all very knowledgeable In the subjects. There’s also a bed and breakfast on the property as well as a cool gift shop. I’d highly recommend checking this place out and see how these animals live free and happy lives!

Beautiful local park with great lake views. Enjoyed spending some time here. Provided a much needed break and plenty of playground equipment to keep the kiddo busy for a while. Nice and well maintained restrooms.

Our site was B1 right beside the office. We had a site with three trees. Most sites don't have any and your trailer and you will bake in the sun. The draw back was all the people that pull in to buy boat launch tickets, leave their trucks running and kicking up dust as they roll by. The park is noisy from the boats, large trucks coming down the hill coming into town and the traffic driving by. It goes on all day long. The pluses: The staff. They are so friendly and helpful. Ice is a good deal compared to Walmart. All sites have full hookups. Fairly quiet at night. Very convenient to downtown, the racetrack, state park, and the lovely park across the street with a dog beach👍

This campground is within walking distance to Watkins Glen state park (15 minutes). The park itself isn't anything special, although there is a boat and kayak launch. Across the street is a great playground, splash pad, swimming area in the lake and volleyball courts. Makes the whole place overall pretty great.

I love coming here, it's great for kids and algo for family gathering. The beach is great and clean. The Cafe's food is very good and prices are affordable. The views are amazing. It's also a good place to play basketball, do some walking and running.

An awesome gem in the middle of Watkins Glen and wine country. Skip the KOA prices and distance and come to clute memorial! Craig at the front desk was incredibly helpful. Everyone that worked there was delightful. They kept the bathrooms clean which was great. There were some small spiders and mosquitos but that’s expected. My only issue was the doors lock on the inside of the family/accessible bathrooms but when you leave you can open them while locked and easily forget and pull it shut and lock it. That happened while we were there that someone locked it and we had one less bathroom. The campgrounds were level. You are right across the street from playgrounds and walking trails and Seneca lake. About a mile from town and can walk to it easily. Walmart is right next door, too, so easy access if you forgot something. The prices can’t be beat and being that this is also a seasonal campground people take great pride in it and care for the area.

Pretty place to watch the sunset and the water is so pretty. We sat on a bench on a Little Rock pier and enjoyed the scenery. Easy parking

One of the best camp sites we go to every summer :) everyone is very polite and helpful and there is just so much to do! Great place for the family .. very clean and quite campsite as well

At first, the campsite was a little difficult to find since we arrived late at night. The tent area is big enough to set up even 4 persons 4 tents! The washroom was clean with shower room & a little makeup area. There is electric outlets in the sink area. The lake is 3-5 minutes walk from the campsite where you can swim & there is restrooms & kids water fountain. There is a Walmart in 2 minutes driving!!! So if you forget something, do a quick shopping! Very pleasant experience overall.

The Postponed July 4th fireworks tonight were Amazing, as always ! The park is so clean and we enjoyed grabbing hot dogs and fries from Central Hots. Not sure who owns the pizza and fried dough food truck that was parked there but the employees were RUDE and SWEARING while customers were waiting. No business name displayed or I would have posted that.

One of the best if not the best, of the upstate brewing revolution. They are one of the first into the scene and haven't turned back since. From having 6 beers on tap at the most to now over 15. Highly recommend as a pitstop when you're up in Watkins glen.

OMG, great beer and staff. They are moving, we got there the 2nd last day and so glad we did. The original space is amazing. This is a must try for Walkins Glen!

I have only been here twice, and the first time was almost 2 years ago, but both have been great experiences. On the most recent visit I had the special which was a maple glazed burger cooked rare with jalapenos and breaded onion bits (I requested only one slice of cheese) and it may have been the best thing I have eaten. Definitely in the top 5 eating experiences I've had. I really hope this is on the menu next time I'm in NY. My girlfriend ordered the black bean burger and she really enjoyed her meal as well.

Very friendly people, Good service, decent beer (lots of style choices). Food was good, average portion size, but overpriced by at least 15%. I know this is the only game in town, and it's touristy, but the final tab is very high. So, maybe stop in, taste or have a pint....Move on. See Heavily Brewing, 2 goats, etc....Too many other choices unless you don't have a car and you r stuck in Watkins Glen.

We could've stayed all day! The beers were fantastic and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. The outdoor patio was spacious with games that kept us laughing and occupied AND they allowed our dog to sit with us. Very accommodating, we will definitely be back again.

4 out of 5 because its a good stop to make if you're in the mood but not a destination "must stop." Beers and food are always subjective and both were good not great. Yes the atmosphere is old industrial down to the very cool fans, but this style has to be 10 years out of date by now, but it's Watkins Glen it might be very hip here still. I love shuffleboard tables and anyone else who does will appreciate the price of American history they have here, a 22 foot American shuffleboard table!

Soft pretzels and beer cheese are amazing!! Had the pulled pork with Nickels sauce on beer bread-definitly would have again. Young man at the beer counter was very knowledgeable. Staff super friendly. Great atmosphere. Loved the woodbeams and the brick wall. Only thing I would change is it was 94 outside and it wasn't air conditioned. Will be back!

I had a fantastic time here today! I’ve always wandered by, but decided to stop in and was treated to a literal museum of sorts. Relics of antiquated beauty to new high octane models, this is a motor racing haven of heaven for race car enthusiasts. The museum was a beautifully tailored what’s what and who’s who of all things in the collective and very comprehensive sport of motor racing. The vibrant enthusiasm for this sport spans countries and cultures and is a perfect opportunity for unity in its most precious element. My host, the very gracious Duke Argetsinger, is a true blue legend in the motor racing world, as was his father. Humble and kind, he walked me through an encyclopedic perspective about racing in our brief time together and there’s still so much surface left to explore in those halcyon days of racing’s golden age to its limelight and spotlighted present. Every era and decade was fitfully represented through a mode of mediums, including but not limited to models, archival footage, video presentations, posters, trophies, hard to find artifacts and yes...incredible race cars in the institute’s main room! This was an absolute one if a kind experience and I look forward to visiting again. A very special highly recommended! Really worth a visit!

Going to Watkins Glen the see the breathtaking views of Gods Creation then on over to Niagara Falls spend a day in then make my way back 2 Shenandoah Valley and come back to Blue Ridge Parkway alright get your saddle soap out let's ride let me know I've already got eight rooms reserved first come first serve. We went here with my son's class and learned about the growing, harvesting and storing of the apples from the owners. Afterwards we visited the store where there were so many types of apples, jams and jellies, donuts and much more. It was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to go back!

Reisinger's Apple Country is a lovely autumn visit to pick apples or pears and enjoy the outdoors. We were there while Macintosh was in season and they are absolutely delicious! Make sure to wash your apples before eating, as they are not organic. The business also has a small store where you can buy and taste cider and donuts, or grab a bag of apples if you don't want to pick. We also picked some flowers (have to pay a small fee). Around the entrance there is a big chair that is always updated with the year for grabbing some pictures. A few other fun photographic opportunities are available as well.

While we didn't pick any apples, I did visit their shop 3 times to get their donuts. 3 times. That's how good they are. Key is to try and catch them on days when they are freshly fried (at this time was Mon, Wed, Fri, maybe Sat?). I purchased the 6pack of cinnamon sugar each time. The donuts are dense but light, and completely coated in the sweet sugar mix. I also purchased 2 half-pecks of apples and 2 jars of apple butter as gifts. I was hoping for fresh cider and apple cider donuts, but alas that wouldn't come until early/mid-September. I did ask one of the guys there his tips on choosing types of apples, and I was impressed with how knowledgeable and informative he was. Parking was easy, but I could see how weekends may fill up with families. They seemed to have an organized system for apple picking. They take credit cards for payment.

I took my time and visited multiple times under the new owner before writing this review. I feel that this is by far the best local orchard around. Firstly, they maintain the orchards, and they are very walkable. I recently went to a different orchard (Crooked Line), but the rows of apples were so overgrown in places that it was difficult to walk. Secondly, the atmosphere. Just pulling into the driveway to the parking lot is beautiful. It just keeps getting better the closer to the orchard you get. Full on fall experience with the pumpkins out, as well. Clean and organized shop keeps varieties of apples if you don't pick your own. They also have the famous donuts, cider, coffee, and jams. I recently tried the carbonated apple cider for the first time, and it is excellent! Probably most importantly, the people who run this place are extremely pleasant. I was thinking that this would not be the case when the new owner took over, but I was happily surprised that these people are just as awesome as the previous owners! As a customer, this transition was unnoticeable. I'm so happy that this place will be here to stay for my daughter to enjoy for years to come!

Great place. Lots of fun a must stop. They have more than apples jams, applesauce, doughnuts, mum's and fresh coffee. I can't wait till next season will be back.

It is a lovely place. You pick the apples from rows of apple trees. If you do not want to pick, you can buy at the reception. Coffee and donuts are exceptional. I recommend this place. After you eat a donut here, you will not like any donuts purchased anywhere else, especially from Dunkin Donuts. I come here every September and it is better each year.

Picked Macintosh apples 🍎 they were huge. Nice experience.

another apple picking spot that I visited back in September :) they have wagons you can use (but kinda heavy to pull around), the flowers are pretty and there's also raspberry picking. Very friendly staff and fun activity for families!
