Undoubtedly 6 out of 5 stars, the place is perfect both receptionists are Very welcoming but the lady was actually one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Reasonable pricing, perfect location. Perfect service, the cleaning lady was really courteous and nice. The waiters as well. The rooftop view was amazing. Worth every penny.

It was nice and the staff are all very friendly, nice view from the balcony, spacious rooms, yet the room cleaning was a bit too basic... compared to a previous hotel we stayed in Marrakesh. And unfortunately the cutlery for breakfast is not that clean.

2 stars for one reason: don't stay there if you want to sleep - super noisy live band music right outside my room window on the neighboring terrace. Really obnoxious.

First the riad is very charming looking however, we had a room just above some shops. It smelled of smoke and was very loud with seagulls squaking, chickens crowing, drunk people etc. The hand towel was ragged and had holes in it. The hand held shower head fell off and broke. The view from the terrace with breakfast was very nice. Just too tired to enjoy it much.

The establishment is very well located (It is close to the ramparts of the old city overlooking the Atlantic ocean). The rooms are spacious and the interior design is very nice. Things to improve : WiFi and breakfast.

Only got drinks on the rooftop but overall vibe was positive, clean. Did not see the rooms though.

Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable quiet rooms with views and sound of swashing of the waves through the night. There are a few niggling disrepairs but didn't bother us.

Trash and rubbish everywhere. Zoom in from the pic with our shoes. Random shot! Locals and authorities have some education todo. :( Locals blame the ships at sea but come on. People are throwing all their trash to the river nearby and somewhere out of the sight where wind, water and animals carry it out. It was the same picture all around Morocco. So sad! It all starts with providing the trash management and education. Providing eco for the communities first and not for the tourism. As the problem is local first. This is really sad situation and that is why I leave so poor review to get attention to this beautiful nature!

A wonderful beach to visit, especially if you want to escape the heat of Marrakech. There is always a fresh breeze from the Atlantic and the seafood is absolutely amazing! There isn't much to do at night, and also I probably wouldn't advise going in the winter as it can get extra windy and maybe won't be as enjoyable for some.

Nice Beach, which runs from the Harbour South. There is a great promenade that runs along it for a couple of miles. The sand is very fine and quite compacted in the foreshore which is great for running and football etc. In fact, the locals organise games and mark out pitches most evenings and all day on Sunday. Don't worry, there is still plenty of room left. The water, though, can be a bit cold outside summertime compared to further south down the coast, etc. Spectacular Sunsets over the island.

Essaouira beach was great. There were people playing and others having a bath in the sea, although the water was quite cold in winter time. I found this beach to be well clean compared with the other I've seen here in morocco. There was quite a cold breeze during the day so best to wear a jacket (Winter time).

Nobody was kitesurfing perhaps not being the wright season, even though the Atlantic wind was blowing strongly. Beach just useful for some people playing soccer may be dreaming of Amrabat (Florentina Club, Italy). Anyway the 'city in bleu' was appealing, the choice of fishes just-out-from-the-ocean of a good offering at the wright price, grilled and enjoyed right the way on the spot. The sun was warm, about 24 °C, the fishing boats deep bleu, and immersive the scenery. The suk-walk pleasant and not that jammed. A day long visit from Marrakesh, thru 190 kms. And 190 to go back. A little bit tiring and long, but the speed limit on that route do not allow to go over 60 or 80 km/per hour, wich is good and safe, but 70 and 90 would be more or less safe as well.

Beautiful, long sandy beach. Beautiful sunsets. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of rubbish, especially close to the road. The water also smells and tastes polluted compared to more isolated beaches like Sidi Kaouki

A lovely beach, very clean and very long, there is playing parks for kids, and baths near to you. It is a nice place for practicing surf, and kitesurfing, you can also walking by the beach and try it in a horse or camel especialy by the sunset, a lovely and spiritual sunset. Nice place for relax and spend time with friends or family. The water is very cold and sometimes it gets very windy.

Lovely beach. If you go close to the umbrellas and camels, then yes you will get accosted by touts, but we had some nice walks along the sand without ever getting approached. Some great shells also along the beach. The beach goes on for a number of Kilometres with some sand dunes at the far end away from the old town.

Beautiful Beach, only spent a couple of minutes there since we were on a day trip in Essaouira, but those minutes we enjoyed a lot.

The market is an experience. In the video, one of the locals offering me caviar, or Viagra, according to him. There were several kind of fish I had never seen before on a market (like sharks!)

I would never recommend eating seafood here, the grill is very dirty and unhygienic, and I later got severe food poisoning. Also, the staff overcharge you every time, even though it takes over 2 hours to cook and the taste was terrible. Again, DO NOT EAT SEAFOOD HERE. It looks cheap but you will regret it.

Went to the gallery with my Moroccan friend. No hello, no goodbye. One of the owners (glasses, tall) sneaked up behind us and watched us the whole time. Like we were suspicious to him. Looked at us just seriously. No good vibe at all, we just wanted to look at art! Three older french people, looking like money, walked in an were treated completely different... EDIT: Your response says it all. We we were amazed by the art, behaving respectfully, being quite. We didn't make any "gestures", that you can't even clarify. Art should be accessible to everyone, not only the people you think are worth it. Disappointing!

I bought art from the artist Khadija Fahli, native from Casablanca, from the vendor Halim. Incredibly nice man who enjoys what he does and actually works as a tour guide on the side. Owned by three brothers. We didn't took pictures of the art, because you need to go and see it for yourselves :) Maybe when you will arrive, three brothers will have a restaurant and caffee on the terrace.

What a quiet, elegant place to visit. Tons of art to enjoy without being hassled and you can also buy the best argan oil from there for a great price. Lovely friendly people who will explain things to you without any pressure if you wish to know more.

Make sure to visit all the floors, especially the rooftop, which boasts a stunning city view. If I had enough room at home, I'd definitely think about purchasing a few pieces from their collection. One of the single most beautiful and uniqe places I've found in Morocco. This gallery truly gives the feeling of its namesake kasbah, with endless rooms to explore, full of mysterious and unexpexted beauty.

I came across the gallery by chance and wow it was worth it. Art works from all kinds of artists. Sculptures, painting, ceramics, modern, representational and impressionistic. Its all here over several floors. Not just the art work but the building is great. A huge courtyard compared to most and stretches up to 5 floors with a stunning view from the top. The building is being restored steadily so the upper floors are not filled with works but there is still plenty up there. If you were only in Essaouira for a short time this is a place you must visit, even if only for the views.

Interesting art Gallery. It contains diverse types of arts; paintings, engravings on the wood, things made out of metal.. all of this made by moroccan artistes.

One of 3 synagogues that survived from old times of Jewish present in city of Essaouira. House of synagogue (upper floor) was also a home of famous Rabbi Chaim Pinto - lower floors, his office. Synagogue is fully renovated, including wooden beam roof,painted blue. We got some explanation about the place and Jewish life, guard knows even a bit Hebrew, and when we finished our visit he offered us to open for us the old Jewish cemetery, which is not always open, so it was very convenient to see both main places of Jewish history of Essaouira

One of the best experiences of my life. Mohammed is an incredible horse master and he made sure everything was perfect. He was very responsive at all times and made us feel very welcome. The photos he took were out of this world!

I had the most incredible time at Cheval Essaouira! I went with my best friend and we cannot wait to go back already. Every single part was incredible, Mohammad and the team were excellent, I really can’t fault the whole experience. We did a 3 day trek and stayed at the guest house, all three days riding were so much fun, and we met some amazing people along the way! The guesthouse was clean and the food was delicious, even had a pool for a refreshing dip after a long day riding. The horses are incredible, and well looked after. I really cannot thank Cheval Essaouira enough for the absolute best experience ever. If you’re thinking of going! Just book it! I promise you’ll have the best time!

An unbelievably special experience. I did a three day trek followed by 5 days of 2-3 hour rides. The horses are a dream to ride and the people are so kind, fun and welcoming. Not to mention the views, the sunsets and the food. I see why people get addicted to this place!!

Spectacular experience with beautiful horses, Abdul was our incredible guide for an 2 day trek and shared with us so much of Moroccan culture. We were so inspired by him and we ended up booking more sessions with him. A real gem of a human and horse whisperer! The staff were so nice and the food provided on the tour was fantastic. Fantastic scenery and incredible views!

There are many beautiful farms in Essaouira. We are there regularly and have seen and tested a few. This farm is not one of our positive experiences. Anyone who loves animals and takes a closer look will avoid this farm. The horses go out for days whether with thick legs or open wounds. The dogs as well as the cats are full of fleas and mites. Apart from that, the prices varied according to sympathies. The boys are careful to take the money out of the tourists' pockets. With all sorts of absurd tricks. Caution .

Just back from a 6 day trip with Cheval Essaouira. All I can say is WOW, what an amazing time. Firstly the horses are amazing, all stallions, all so well behaved. I rode Miamor a lovely dark grey, he didn't put a foot wrong all week, responsive to the leg and came back when you asked him. Very surefooted for the days where we covered hilly rocky terrain. I didn't see a single horse spook or buck or nap all week. Felt very safe when we rode fast. The Arab/Barb horses have great stamina and temperament. These horses work hard, but all look happy and well. It's different to how you ride at home, so be prepared to be open minded from your usual ways. The longer rides are challenging physically, so you need to be riding fit and confident handling fit horses in open spaces, for your own enjoyment and safety of yourself and others around you. The staff, Mohammed, Said, Momo, Majid, Soufiane and everyone were so welcoming, I really felt part of the family. They looked after you without crowding you, always happy to help answer questions. Very entertaining, singing songs and drumming, getting everyone involved. The food was delicious and plentiful all week, lots of fresh fruit, snacks, tagines and meat cooked on open flames. And plenty of Moroccan mint tea with honey / sugar - yum. We had breakfast, picnic lunch, tea with dates, nuts and pancakes after the ride and then dinner, so we never went hungry. The camps are as described, they have everything you need, but we were very happy with our guesthouse on the last night with a pool! The scenery took my breath away every day, and each day was different. We rode through dried river beds, up and down hills/mountains. Occasionally you have to get off and lead your horse, so be prepared to do a small bit of walking. We rode through stunning canyons, passing farmers riding donkeys side saddle. We rode along cliffs overlooking the sea, and huge sand dunes and of course along endless beaches. The horses surrounded the campsite so you fell asleep to the sound of your horses...... I could go on, but I will definitely be back

Cannot more highly recommend Cheval Essaouira as your provider for beach rides and multi-day treks. The horses are gorgeous Arabian stallions who are very well trained and suited for every level of experience. Mohammad and his team do an excellent job of matching you with a horse that is perfect for your skill level, and who will ensure you have a spectacular time. Children will learn well how to sit a horse if it’s their first time or even the most advanced rider in your group will have the time of their life as they experience the pure joy of their horse racing at their full speed along the edge of the ocean while the sun paints the sky. intermediate riders will have a great lesson and improve their seat by the end of the ride with Mohammad’s guidance and instruction. Something for everyone. The environment for your trail rides is stunning - breathtaking dunes, ruins of old castles, an expansive beach that is the perfect background for the many stunning photos and videos Mohammad and his team are sure to capture of you during your ride and or treks. It’s a place you go to fall in love - not necessarily with a person but with all of the people, the horses, the dogs, the nature. I am already counting down the days til I return.

Super experience and super prices! We did the horse riding for one hour for just 150 dh! And it was amazing. We went through the land and the beach side. Highly recommended experience. I forgot to add that you will have a well made photos from the trainer. Thank you very much!

It was good trek for 3 days. All horses was in good condition an healty. I have been in Morocco before and never saw so wellcared horses. And they were fast but very safe to ride. All stuff was friendly and they took good care of us too. Breathtaking views. I got very good emotions from this trek and recommend to others also.

It’s not a traditional horse riding, it’s pure magic where you discover the beautiful corners of the area, enjoy the feeling of being united with the horse, meet wonderful people, taste amazing food. People who organize it do it with all their heart, and you can feel it a lot. Horses are amazing and happy, even if you are not sure about your level and you don’t feel confident, Mohammed will explain you everything and shows you the way to understand these amazing animals. I couldn’t stop to take pictures, because the views are really breathtaking. The stable offers different experiences, and I tried most of them, and I should tell they are all worth your time. The organization was at high level, the staff is super nice. So if you want to live something really very special, you should definitely try one of their experiences.
