A fantastic experience!! We did the small hike up to see the sulphur springs and got to enjoy the amazing views from the top of the mountain 😍 We got to enjoy the warm baths as well! Originally we'd aimed to do this first thing in the morning but probably got to the baths around 9:30am. It was fine as the morning wasn't too hot yet so we got to relax and enjoy the warmth of the baths, amazing start to the day 😁 This adventure plus breakfast by The Beer Garden on the way in, courtesy Big Momma (first food hut on the left on entry) made this one of our trip highlights for sure!

You are basically standing on an active volcanic ground. The mud bad is a little rip off as it's not mud but just gray water where 1000 people a day go in and I am sure pee in it all day

Enjoyed this excursion on our trip to St. Lucia. There is a short tour (about 15min) in the beginning where you learn about the volcano and other interesting facts about the area. Then you’re guided toward the baths where you have 20min to bathe in the hot springs and smother yourselves in mud. The guides in the bath area were really friendly and helpful with taking photos. My skin felt great after! Once we were finished we visited the waterfall. The water is freezing but definitely worth visiting! Would recommend at least trying once!

Always a great experience to be one with nature. The Sulphur Springs bath is known for its healing properties, the warm water massages the body and provides relief to muscle aches and pains. I always enjoy visiting there. The tour let's you in on a wealth of knowledge about the place. On my visit, we had breakfast at a booth and they offered authentic Lucian breakfast. The ladies were professional and the meals touched a sweet spot, delicious.

Great views of the muddy bubbling sulfur pools. The smell of sulfur is strong, but worth the walk along the edge. The park tour guides are very knowledgeable.

Such a fun experience! The pools are very warm and your skin feels so soft afterwards. There are showers on site to rinse off the mud when you’re done.

Our tour guide was phenomenal, knowledgeable, friendly and caring. She picked us up on time and was so helpful every step of the way. I got car sick on the drive and she went out of her way to purchase a ginger ale and was so compassionate. Would highly recommend Viator, our 2nd time using them!

Nice place. You don't actually have to pay unless you want to go in the mineral springs and see the waterfall. It was too hot for the springs for us and the waterfall wasn't worth the $7, however, the overall garden was really nice!

This was a recommended place that I go to, from one of the locals. The garden has been a highlight. Large variety of flowers and trees on the compound, then the Diamond waterfall, which was a favorite. Whether you're a solo traveller or in a group, you would enjoy it. There is also a space where local stuff are on sale like bottle openers, handmade handbags, snacks...etc. 10/10.

We had a tour of the botanical gardens and we were very impressed and enjoyed it immensely. We thought it was absolutely beautiful with so many colours and types of plants and flowers, and the different colours of the waterfall is pretty cool to see. The tour was about an hour and it was very informative. We saw lots of hummingbirds too! For us this was one of the highlights of Saint Lucia.

A Delight ! I love to visit botanical garden all over the world, and St Lucia Lucia was no exception. Very nice well looked after exotic garden with cool plants, trees, some poisonous and magical, some fruit trees too. Lots of little hiding spots in the shade and scenic areas for your rainforest photographs. There’s also a lovely little snack bar, but they only accept cash. They sell drinks and some locally made chocolate bars, including vegan ones. Clean toilets, and there you can bathe in mineral baths from the volcano. There is also a waterfall ! Well kept and interesting.

It’s a very nice garden with a lot of information on local flora and fauna. You don’t have to pay if you want to bypass the falls, but why pass on those? It’s very neat, has many picture opportunities on unique couples chairs, and is very well shaded for those hot, sunny days.

Lovely walk and tour, about 45 mins. The walk takes you through winding paths as you admire and learn about the plants and fruit. Some gravel paths and steps but ok for everyone, even young children. Diamond Falls is at the back of the gardens. There are free unofficial guides who are really good. Expect to tip at the end.

The botanical gardens was beautiful. The waterfall was stunning. The tour was so informative and kept us engaged. The Mineral Baths were fabulous and indeed healing waters.

Great hike/walk. Many stairs but short so I would say do-able for those able to climb several flights of stairs. Trail is well maintained. Beautiful views at the top of both Pitons. We are in shape enough to do Gros Piton but backed-out mostly given time needed to dedicate to the hike when we were staying at a nearby beautiful resort we wanted to enjoy. The Paul Tet Nature trail was a perfect length to get a quick hike in the morning and enjoy the surroundings. Be aware there is a different “nature trail” entrance recently opened and is not the original with the trusted guides. Be sure to park at signs that say “Tet Paul Nature Trail.” We did have a guide, Denver. He was amazing. He told us many stories about the area as well as plants along the trail. With guide, hike takes 45 min- hour. Without one probably 30 min. Having the guide is a nice touch and I highly suggest it. Denver was great!

Great trail to do while you are in Saint Lucia. The guide was very informative and since there is so many types of plants and trees that we do not have back home, it was nice having her explain each one. Some of the most beautiful scenery from the very top of the lookout area, you can see the pitons great from here. You can also see about 1/4 of the whole island besides the ocean and the pitons. It was a really easy hike that people of all levels can complete. It may be hard to find if your driving your own car so look for the red arrow.

Enjoyed our experience here! Rufina was our guide and did an excellent job guiding us through with a great walking pace. She pointed out different species of plants and gave interesting facts. She even helped take photos for us. The walk itself was very enjoyable. The beginning part is more steep with stair like formations to make it easier to walk and the rest is pretty flat and downhill from there. Loved the viewpoints and photo opportunities. My husband and I enjoyed this excursion.

A superb view of both Pitons at the end of a moderate uphill hike through the rain forest. Our guide Chevron, from the local community, was both knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely worth the drive to get there. If you can visit Martha's Table, a small local restaurant a few miles north, for lunch before or after the walk you will not be disappointed.

Nice trail with great views! To go on the trail, it costs $10 per person and it is a guided tour. You go at your own speed and there are many points on the trail where you can stop if you need to. The guide was nice because she pointed out things along the trail and told us of the history of the community near the trail. She was also more than happy to take pictures of my husband and I. At the very top, you can see the Pitons. There’s also a very small area to shop for souvenirs and drinks. It wound up being where I bought some handmade purses for a reasonable price to bring back home as gifts.

We had a personal tour guy who took us on this trail. This is a beautiful trail. The tour guys were so nice and professional. Our tour guy has climbed this mountain 4 times. Breath taken view.

This place is wonderful and the views are perfection. The hike itself is approx 1 hour and the tour guide that took us was very knowledgeable. The first 15 minutes or so are stairs but there is plenty of rest stops along the way.

Moderate but short hike with a tour guide who lives in the village close by. They sell snacks and drinks there, which are of course a little expensive. They offer a hiking stick at no charge to use while on the tour. The views are well worth the moderate effort to reach the top

Tet Paul was one of the highlights of our trip and I consider it the best view on the west side of the island. Moderate hike well worth the visit.

I’m not a very big hiker and this one was the perfect one for me. The walk itself was maybe around 45 mins - 1 hr round trip and the views were so amazing! Highly recommend stopping by here and enjoy the scenery! Tickets were $10 and we had a guide help us/show us the way.

First of all, you do not need a guide, it's a very easy and short hike, save your money. There's even a way how to avoid paying an entrance fee (10 USD), since the office is located next to a tiny parking lot, so they will not notice you if you are coming from upstairs, especially if you are not coming by car, or leave your car somewhere else. The view is spectacular. When you are going down try to go down the same way how you got up, if you go left, there's a wedding gazebo and tiny houses where they try to get another money from tourists, not worth it, waste of time. I loved the local cuddly dog tho.

Great trail with amazing views of both pitons. From the pictures and reviews I have seen, I'm convinced that there is no point on climbing the Gros Piton as the views are not as impressive and it is a much more painful and expensive experience, but that's a personal view. I'd also rather prefer doing this trail on my own, as I felt the guide was rushing. Go early to avoid the crowds.

My husband and I enjoyed the nature walk. We felt as though the tour was informative. The area is gorgeous as as the views. Our guide, Kiva, took great care of us, answered all our questions, and took amazing pictures of us. I recommend if you are interested in a great walk with views!

We had a short wait for a guide, but it was a lovely experience. It takes about 30 minutes round trip and the views from the stairway to heaven was worth it! Our guide was also a farmer so it was nice to hear about the different plants and trees along the hike. Zach, the owner’s son, spoke with us as we waited and told us more about the island which we appreciated since it was our first day.

Very short hike offering incredible views of the Pitons. The guide said 45 minutes and we were done in about 30 minutes with plenty of time to stop and take pictures. The hike was steep in some spots but was otherwise easy. If you're looking for a great photo op with minimal effort, this hike fits the bill! Great guides and the trail is very well maintained and clean. It costs only $10 per person plus whatever you choose to tip your guide.

This review is honest. There's stairs or rough steps. It's recommended for healthy walkers. Go slowly and it's about 20 min each way so about an hour experience. The guides are recommended to enhance the experience. We paid $10 each and tipped our guide $20 so $40 total or $100ecd. Well worth the experience. It was unfortunately raining heavily and very muddy during our visit. Please disregard the cheapskate Mr bad karma Martin who tells you how to do it for free. This is a community project that benefits the community, this is their home. Give a little.

So glad we did this hike instead of grow piton after talking with other travelers. The views on this are unmatched. You get to see both pitons from this hike. Our guide was funny and kept the hike exciting. Definitely recommend this to anyone that can handle lots of steep stairs.

Gorgeous beach! We preferred Anse Mamin over Anse Chastanet. Yes, there are beach loungers you can pay for, but we brought our own towels and laid out on the mostly empty beach for the day. It was lovely. Even though it was an overcast day the water was nice and warm. The volcanic sand on the beach is really beautiful and dark. There are lots of crabs and pelicans roaming around and the volcanic formations give this beach some character. There’s also a bar and grill on the beach if you need refreshments. This was our favorite beach of our trip.

The beach is lovely! Not as black as I was expecting, some seaweed at far end but not much. The hotels are definitely trying to take over the whole beach which is a shame - extortionate amount for sunbeds which we declined (we were the only people on the beach!). But sand soft so beds not needed and plenty of natural shade from cliffs etc. Had grilled chicken burgers which were delicious but a little on pricey side - still worth it!

I wasn't expecting much but I remained speechless when I saw the beauty of this secluded beach. Worth to spend at least a day here. Driving to the beach is a different story; the road is steep extremely narrow and in very bad shape. Hence I only give 4 stars instead of 5.

One of the best beaches of St. Lucia, few people only were there when I stayed at Anse Mamin. Unfortunately the water taxis bring many tourists from the sea. The road to get to this beach is extremely challenging yet exciting at the same time. Very steep at the beginning and full of potholes everywhere. You will need to drive very carefully and slowly not to damage your suspensions! #StLucia

A REALLY beautiful beach… however the greeting wasn’t that welcoming as non resort guests, and $66 US dollars to rent X2 sun loungers that are very shaded (which is nice but we love the sunbathing) was pretty punchy. The burger was nice but $28 USD for this. You can also walk here, bring a picnic and chuck your towel on the sand for a gorgeous but cheaper experience. The beach is beautiful and lined with palm trees.

What a place, lovely beach, feels safe and great snorkeling. Only down side is the nightmare road in if you are not used to off road driving in a domestic vehicles.

This is the second beach that's part of the Anse Chastenet estate. Nice facilities for guests. Lovely grill and bar and burgers are among the best I have ever tasted. We did some snorkelling off the beach. Highly recommend

Spectacular sunsets! Also has a nice beach grill and burger place. Area belongs to the Anse Chastanet resort but there are good spots to sit for the public.

Staying in the local area this became our favorite way to end our day. The sunset pictures are breathtaking. You can park right at the resort guest parking and have easy access to the beach a short walk from Chastanet Beach. A must visit.

We visited as a day trip. Bring some lunch and a six pack of Peton’s. As an avid off-roader in California, the road to Anse Chastanet is not nearly as bad as other reviews. Broken, bumpy concrete but not slippy mud. It starts steep but is fine after the first 200ft. There is a large parking area on the left when you arrive at the resort. Be sure to assure the security you know to walk all the way north (right) because it sounded like they’re tired of day trippers expecting more. Once down on Anse Chastanet, keep heading north, you’ll arrive at a few concrete steps that lead to a flat gravel/dirt road, pass a small pier, and arrive at a gloriously under utilized beach and bar. The day user’s typically go past the two standing rock formations and you get it all to your self!!! We had a cocktail and utilized the picnic tables near the bar before we left, we felt welcomed there. Definitely do not hat we did.

A stunning beach. Plenty of shade under trees, wonderful snorkelling at the south end and great food from the beach bar. Access is walking from Anse Chastanet beach. Our favourite beach on St Lucia.

A unique cool and refreshing waterfall experience off the western coast of Saint Lucia. Changing facilities and restrooms available, as well as a viewing platform, in case you are able to resist the urge to join the fun under the waterfall. There are also some tasty local treats available for purchase at the entrance. Banana bread, turnovers, and cakes. And ofcourse some unique craft. A worthy visit. Good value for money.

Another great little place for the island the only thing I can say and fault it can get a bit busy so its all rush but luckily we went on our own were you can spend as long as you want but you only need to take a photo nice experience

Cool waterfall. We were told by our tour guide that this waterfall never dries out. Even when the rest on the island are dry. Clean grounds and plenty of room. Strong water flow. Very tasty water

Came here for a good wash down after a visit to the sulfuric springs nearby. Enjoyed the dip and the massaging effect of the waterfall on my back!! Warning, water can be a bit cold on inital entry

Beautiful waterfall. It is tall and has a lot of water flow, so sitting under it will give you a pounding. It's a small area, so don't expect to spend a lot of time here. The wading area around the falls is very shallow and rocky, so not a great spot to just relax. If you are looking for a relaxing waterfall, check out Piton Falls nearby.

Beautiful and small waterfall. Well organised place to visit. Staff helpful and pleasant. Changing rooms and toilets. Just off main road and easily accessible. Lovely coconut turnovers on exit fir sale!

Beautiful setting to experience with family or friends. Smaller sized pool at the bottom of the waterfall but wasn't too crowded when we went in late July. Great place to come after taking a mud bath. Bring water shoes, lots of rocks at the bottom.

Nice little place tucked in the back roads. You can actually swim under this one. But the water is darn cold (might actually be good on a really hot day) because place has much foliage that blocks out most of sun. I highly recommend water shoes for this one, as there are many rocks. I braved it w/o and took a beating, but I swam under it. Also not very deep, but the water coming down from falls hits a bit hard so be careful.

Easy hike in, down a flight of wooden steps to access the view, and down a couple more rock steps to access the waterfall, was not strenuous. The cool and fresh water was a great power shower after the mud bath at the springs. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

This waterfall is awesome! You can stand right under it for a bomb picture. It's a nice shower after being in the muddy, sulfur-y hot springs. Definitely recommend! And if there's a lady selling some bread at the door, get the coconut bread (not cake - the bread is actually sweeter than the cake and very very delicious).

Nice place to visit waterfall and little creek next to it were very pretty to look at. Lots of local vendors to buy gifts and souvenirs for a good price.

I loved this waterfall. It is so picturesque, like so much of the scenery in St. Lucia, but not huge. The water in the stream below is not deep, and definitely swimmable. It wasn't too crowded when I came, but there were a fair number of people trying to get photo ops at the waterfall. It cost 3 dollars to get in.

Do not miss the Piton Falls. The entrance is 3 US$, there is plenty of parking and after a 5 minutes walk with some steps you'll enjoy 3 hot water pools in the middle of the forest. There are changing rooms and I suggest you go there with a bathing suit and a towel.

Beautiful spot with warm water! We stopped here twice in our trip, once after hiking Petit Piton which gave us incredible relief.

Beautiful, secluded waterfall deep in the jungle. It's only about a five minute walk down a trail to get to the waterfall. The locals built nice man-made pools with varying temperatures to take advantage of the mineral rich water flowing in. The water is very relaxing.

We were pleasantly surprised by this experience. Amazing walk down, awesome falls and warm soaking pools. Well worth the visit. So glad we didn’t skip this stop. On the way to Sugar Beach for a combo day.

I drove my rental car from Rodney Bay to Piton Falls, which took 2 hours with traffic and a bathroom break (we stayed in Soufriere afterwards). We thoroughly enjoyed this gem. It’s only $3US per person and its a great way to unwind and relax in a natural “hot tub”. We arrived around 2pm and there was only 3 people there. I think we got lucky!

$3usd/person, totally worth it! Ample parking, a short 5 min walk to the falls and a handful of stairs. We visited on a Wednesday in the middle of the day, there were 3 groups of people but it wasn't crowded at all. The waterfall is warm due to proximity to the Volcano. There's also a warmer bath if you really need to unwind!

If you're up for the short hike, it's worth the trip. The pools of water are very therapeutic. Or you can just stand under the slightly hot waterfall. Either way, it is definitely worth a visit.

This place is a true gem of St. Lucia. Mostly quiet and surrounded by beautiful trees and bushes...the waterfall is hot like a shower and the upper pool is truly like a really good bathtub temperature!! There's a pipe flowing into the upper pool and it's amazing how warm the water is! Truly astounding and awesome! This place is totally underated!! So so glad we did not miss it! There is a changing room where you pay and the amount you pay is so little compared to what it's worth!! I absolutely loved it!!

Not worth it. The waterfall itself is nice but all the man made concrete structures around it were in disrepair. No one maintains it and there was hardly any water in it.

Loved the natural beauty of the setting of the baths .... it needs to made much safer along the walk way from the entrance...but all else should remain as is.. Another awesome wonder of our paradise island 🦋🌺🌴🏜🌞

I heard great things about this local Hotspot. The most exciting thing about this visit is the journey to get to the heated pools with water coming out of the bamboo pipe.#disappointmentisreal

The baths are so refreshing, the warm water helps relieve tense muscles. Had a whole product shoot on the way to the pools...I love it there, so intuned with nature

We tried pretty much all spas on St Lucia and this was our favorite spot. We liked it so much that we went twice! The setting is amazing, surrounded by the rainforest. The walk down can be slippery if it has rained, but you will be rewarded with a relaxing soak in water at just the right temperature. Entrance fee is very reasonable like the prices of drinks that you can buy on site. One of our favorite spots in St. Lucia!

Very touristic and very... disappointing! You literally pay for nothing! If you are into touristic stuff, bathing under a waterfall so that you can share pictures on FB or Instagram, this is the place to go to. It's crowded and not worth it.

Scenic five minute walk down a nature trail leads to three hot mineral baths surrounded by plants and trees. We went when it opened and it was not crowded, and the sun was perfect. The entrance fee was very reasonable. Super glad we went and highly recommend it! The trail begins on the right side of the road prior to the Toraille entrance on the left.

Decent for snorkelling - you do not have to swim out too far to see plenty of fish. However there was quite a bit of rubbish on the beach and it was not worth the tricky drive down (you need a 4x4 for).

This sea water is clear and warm!! I loved my time spent there. I got there via boat through "Reel Time Adventures" (check them out on instagram). The boat ride was amazing and getting to this beautiful beach was all that was missing!!

Really tough trail. 2 hours up with about 4 stops along the way. Best view is at the second stop looking at the Petite Piton. Wear good shoes because it's mostly rock and easy to slip. Three make sure you have at least 1.5 liters of water each and a light snack. Cost is $50 per person and they have additional walking sticks you can rent for $5. They also have a little bar and ice cream shack at the end so bring a little extra cash.

We really enjoyed the hike. When you arrive you walk through the small village and learn about the people who live there. The hike is estimated to be 4 hours total, 2 hours up and 2 hours down. You make stops at every quarter for a breather. Make sure to bring 1.5 liters of water per person, or they will make you buy more water. It is 2000ft up and back down. Many people struggled but in my opinion it is very doable. We don’t hike often but regularly work out and we were passing people. If you want to do this hike and are not physically fit you may want to try doing stairs for 30 minutes and see how you feel, since you’re basically going up stairs for 2 hours then back down. The guides are good and very helpful in making sure you get back safely. The views are incredible and totally worth it.

Great hike with scenic views of Saint Lucia. Bring good hiking shoes and 1.5L of water per person. Cash and Visa credit cards are accepted ($50 US each). The total trip up and down will take about 4 hours. You are required to have a guide at all times. They are very nice and knowledgeable. Fair warning - they will make you look bad even if you are in good shape. They do this hike every day! By no means is this a hike for beginners, you will have to use your hands on steep/difficult sections. The toughest climbs always lead to the best views. You'll be glad you did it!

Amazing experience! The views are breathtaking but keep in mind it’s not an easy hike! You will be sweating a lot!! And the mosquitoes will eat you alive on the way down ! It is true you will be completely exhausted after the hike although it only takes about 4 hours combined. You will be out for the rest of the day. I found the rental stocks helpful, even with them my knees were hurting the next day. Be careful -plenty of slippery stones and tree roots. I was happy for the little shop after the hike although it’s quite pricey it was a great reward

We started the hike at 9:15 am with a tour group and this is not a moderate or easy hike. I’ve hiked Camelback in Arizona, Devils Bridge in Sedona, the Gorge in Greece and this was by far the hardest, hottest and sweatiest hike I’ve ever done. This is not a moderate hike; this is extreme and not for the faint of heart. The path is majority of rock and took the group a little over 3 hours to complete 4 miles. Things you need: strong bug spray, sunscreen, change of clothes, cash (no cards), 1.5+ liters of water per person, towel for your sweat, hiking shoes and rent the hiking sticks offered. For us, we ended up stopping at the halfway point because it was ridiculously hot and the guides said it was the best view on the hike (pics attached). Once down the mountain, we enjoyed tasty ice cream and beer at their shop. I’d recommend starting your hike no later than 7 am to avoid the heat and sun. The staff was really friendly, helpful and I think partly glad we didn’t do the whole thing!

The hike I went on was incredibly challenging and physically demanding. The trail was filled with rocks, making it difficult to navigate both uphill and downhill. Despite the difficulty, the park itself was undeniably beautiful. However, if you're only planning to visit for a day or two, I don't believe it's worth the strain it puts on your knees. There are likely other activities or attractions in the area that would be more enjoyable and less physically taxing. One of the highlights for me was reaching the river nearby and being able to rest my feet. It provided some relief from the strenuous hike and allowed me to enjoy the soothing sound of the water. It's worth mentioning that the park is home to only 37 houses, and these residents rely on tourism for their livelihood. Each member of the family works on the trail, going up and down twice a day. In addition to the natural beauty of the park, I also had the pleasure of trying some delicious homemade ice cream sold by a local lady. It was a delightful treat that added to the overall experience. However, it's important to note that the trail is challenging due to the rocky terrain. If you decide to embark on this hike, be prepared for a rigorous and demanding journey both uphill and downhill.

Worth the climb. These images show the view half way up. There is a well defined trail up the piton. Be sure to take it at your pace and you will surely get there. It really takes about 2 hours up, but you do feel satisfied knowing that you have conquered the mountain.

Must do! Luckily, it was a beautiful sunny day when we went, started around 11 am and wasn’t too hot. But given it’s a lot of elevation, you will be sweating. Took us 2 hours to get to the top, 1.5 hours on the way down so a total of 4 hours (including rest at the top) Depending on rainfall, it might be muddy so I’m glad I had my hiking boots. Bring 2 liters per person at least; and a snack. We paid $50 USD per person, and were immediately given a guide without question. (It seemed as if it wasn’t a suggestion, so we went with it. She happened to trail behind us anyway so we hiked essentially on our own). They strongly suggested we rent hiking poles but we declined - we did not need them but I can imagine a “beginner” hiker benefiting from them. My partner and I are quite fit and found this to be manageable but others we met along the trail had difficulty and took upwards of 6 hours. It’s a beautiful hike, highly recommend!

Okay - This is getting 5 stars but it is a 5 stars without recommending you do this hike. The good - It's a fun hike without anything that is more difficult that you would experience in a typical mountain summit hike in the US but it happens with a quicker elevation gain than you would normally experience. So think about hiking 5 miles and gradually gaining 2,000 feet of elevation over 4 or 5 miles. With the Gros Piton you will do that over around 2 miles. There are plenty of hand rails, so renting a hiking pole is not needed. They would be cumbersome to carry up (and down) during the many parts where it's not needed. The bad. You're going to lose an entire day doing this. You will be TIRED and even with consuming an ungodly amount of water (We had 2.5 liters per person) you may get some mild heat exhaustion and be out for the day. If you aren't on the island for longer than a week, I think this is an experience you can comfortably go without. The hike took us around two hours up (with several short breaks and a few longer ones) and a little less than two hours down. It's broken up into four sections with a bench to break on in-between each. Between the second and third section is the longest leg and the third to the top is the shortest. There are some rock scrambles in the first half that may be uncomfortable for someone who hasn't done them before. The second half of the hike is mostly steep steps with railings with some scrambling. We did the hike the pair of trail shoes and brooks. Hiking boots would have definitely helped, but not needed. Just watch your step. The guide and fee to climb is unavoidable at $50 USD per person, if not going through your resort. Not worth the price for the better views you can get elsewhere (without the hike)

Guides are helpful and make the experience much more safe and entertaining. They are not necessary though. I did the full trail up and down in 3.5 hours no guide ( 1 hour and 20 up, 40 min rest, 1 hour 30 min down). I was rushing because I started late around 4:30pm, and wanted to catch the sunset on top. Come down with a flashlight in the dark was not ideal. 😂 I'm an amature/rookie rock climber I would say for most in able body people to give 4.5 hours. They also have ice cream, soda, and beers for those wanting a snack after. Sadly because of my late descent, I missed out on these luxuries.

Gros Piton Hike was excellent. Definitely a more moderate level hike. They say it takes about 2hrs up and 2hrs down for most. My husband and I are in pretty good half marathon shape and it had some pretty vertical rock scrambles. I would say its mostly a rocky path so good grippy shoes are key. We managed to do this hike in running shoes but slipped a few times. It took us a little over 3hrs to complete. Our guide was Simone. She was great! She knew we wanted to go a little faster and kept a good pace. The path itself is shaded for the most part. The more challenging parts of the hike have railings. The hardest part was actually going back down and not slipping- that's where the railings definitely came in handy. There are 3 stopping points along the path. The recommended water per person is 1.5liters. You will need your water. There is a shop that sells water and snacks if needed. Overall a fun way to start the day and get in some exercise! View is amazing on a clear day!

It's definitely challenging but a great hike all around. Bring over 1.5 liter of water. I would recommend renting a ski pole at the bottom. Well worth the 5 bucks. 50 usd per person to hike. Took us 4 hours.

Scenic, challenging and fun experience. You’re required to use a guide but it definitely adds to the experience. My wife did it at 7.5 months pregnant, but she’s quite determined and physically fit. I recommend doing it early in the day versus the heat of the day.

I did this trail by myself because the family didn't want to try it and I'm glad they didn't come. They would have quit. The trail is tough. The first half is moderate, but the second half is strenuous. The views at the top are not that great. The view at the halfway point of the little piton is great. The only reason to do this hike is to say you had done it. I cost $50/person and they assign a guide to go with you. If you are in it for some hard hiking then it is worth it. If you are excepting to see some great sites then it is not. It will take you anywhere from 3 to 5 hours to complete based on your ability.

At the start of this hike I was really beginning to doubt myself, but with great motivation from my tour guide we made it to the top.The view was worth the amount of time it took,all the staff here are very kind and welcoming. I 100% recommend this to anyone who is looking to keep fit or just enjoys nature trails in general, this is something to put on your bucket list when u visit this country 🇱🇨.

When I ask our guide near the top if people often turned back he said he had never been at a where people had not turned back from his group before reaching the top. While the total vertical climb is not tremendous, the rate of the climb can be taxing. But we made it to the top and enjoyed the guide, the trail, the views, and the ice creme at the bottom.

Challenging climb over boulders. Rain makes it slick. Guide required at $50 USD pp + gratuity. Need 1.5 L water minimum. Last down was 3pm during October. Took 2.5 hours up and 1 hour down. We were trekking quickly as we started out late.

IMPORTAN NOTE: The location for this waterfall on Google Maps is completely off! This waterfall is just below the entrance to the volcano with mudbath. The location on Google Maps is way off. The waterfall is the runoff water from the sulphur baths... horrible smell and you will need to throw away the bathing suit. Sulphur bath and mud bath is fun, but this river in the jungle is not your fresh water wonderful place. The hike from the road is a very steep muddy 25 min each way trail. Not easy to get to compared to other waterfalls.

No signs, no attendants the whole way down a mile+ trail. No signage as to what fees are - just a sign that says pay at the falls. Stayed in springs for 5 minutes and as we head out, a man with a machete demanded $12 per person… as we paid that, he then said it was $25 per person. Go to piton falls over this.$2 per person. Sour note to end our trip exploring the island.

Book the guided tour with Jarrod, the owner, and you’ll learn so much of the plant life and history of the island. Walking the falls alone is possible but you won’t appreciate it as much. Jarrod, our group (5 guys from NC) enjoyed the hospitality of you and your brother.

We took a private tour of sapphire falls and the mud bath on our hike to the falls. It is an unkept hike down the hill, so you have to be fit and have help if any senior people in the group or if anyone has injuries. Our guide was good and we reached the falls and had a good dip in the mud bath and washed it off in the falls. After that we took a dip in the copper bath. It was very slippery so you have to to be careful when entering it. Overall a good experience.

Tried to rob us! We paid the $25 and did the tour but when walking the path back to our car two teenagers who were at the falls attempted to rob us. First asking for money then my wife's jewelry. AVOID Sapphire Falls!!

For the price of $25usd per person you can enjoy a dip in the falls, mudbath, a dip in the small heated pool and some fresh fruit to snack on. The hike to get in is much shorter if you take the entrance down the road like other reviewers mention. From that highway corner, walk down the road, past the cafe and look for stairs on your left. That's the easier entrance. It was a very fun experience, except that at the end we felt a very awkward expectation to tip. Which we were fine doing anyway. But even when we did tip (20%, which is pretty good in Canada), there was even more awkwardness that it wasn't good enough. We ended up just leaving anyway and feeling guilty. Kinda soured the fun experience.

IMPORTANT: The area is unsafe. You should not park vehicles next to the entrances or along the road to the waterfall as thieves constantly pass in the area to break and enter parked vehicles. There is one guy who stays near the waterfall to collect payments. No security or suitable police assistance is available once these break ins occur. It has happened to a number of persons and no one is bringing attention to it. The "private property" owners are also doing nothing to make the area safe or let persons know of the dangers of the area before coming. People should stay away until they do something to make the area more secure.

It's a nice small waterfall. During day, local guides will be waiting for you at the entrance. It is your right to decline their services, however it will take a lot of haggling and perseverance, because they will be usually unstoppable and try to convince you that you are not allow to enter without a guide which is a lie. I payed 40USD and my guide showed me Superman, Diamond and Sulphur spa (where I had to pay another 20 bucks). This is Saint Lucía unfortunately where tourism is alpha omega. It's annoying as hell, I am not gonna lie.

Maybe the waterfall is nice but $25 USD a person once you walk all the way to the bottom is pretty ridiculous fee to charge for a waterfall considering Diamond Waterfall and Botanical Garden nearby is much much cheaper. UPDATE: Since the owner is commenting, yes this isn't Superman Falls, this is another smaller waterfall that you see on the hike to Superman Falls. This is what you see after about 40min of hiking before someone appears from the bushes and asks for $25 to see Superman Falls. We did not spend $25/person to see a waterfall in Saint Lucia.

Such a beautiful place with wonderful people. Wayne was our tour guide through the trails and he was so knowledgeable about the land and local remedies. I told him that I wanted to try fresh cocoa fruit so he trekked through the woods to find me a ripe one I could eat. At the time there weren’t many ripe ones, so he really had to take the time to search for one. The waterfall was beautiful and much bigger than I thought it would be. I enjoyed my time here and will definitely return when I go back to Saint Lucia.

Definitely a great experience, it's beautiful, the water is very cold though and there are a lot of rocks so don't forget swim shoes!

There is no "Superman" waterfall at this location. This is some adventure park and the attendees at the ticket office sent us up to Saphire falls, which is a sulphur smelling run-off from the drive through volcano. Very dissapointed that Google Maps is completely off on this one. There is no waterfall here.

Stunningly beautiful park, from every angle. You can hike it on your own and if you are a moderately experienced and fit hiker with scrambling experience you should have no problem. There are several tricky spots towards the top and many sections where you use a rope that's installed along steeper parts. No need to start super early because the tree is shaded by the peak. There climb is really fun, the journey down not as much as it's very steep and slippery. There's an entrance fee even if you hiker the trail alone

Very difficult and in some parts dangerous hike, but worth the view. You need to be able to pull yourself up by the rope with your feet on the rock in a few places. If you can't, you might be disappointed, cause that part is closer to the summit. I wouldn't recommend attempting without a guide. Though it's $100 US per person Take lots of water, shoes with good grip. Good luck

Took a tour climbed, and got some beautiful pictures. I didn't enjoy the beach we were taken to. I hated all the winding twisted roads.

A true nature hike! One steep trial which will encourage anyone into a self reflected, spiritual journey. There are rest areas along the path which allows for miles of breath taking views. Perfect indulgence for an outdoor habitue'. Bring plenty water, and if possible make this an early morning excursion.

First of all, if you plan hike only by yourself (DON'T !) you will pay 100EC and must sign quite a long waiver. I started around 6 a.m. so there was no guide available, usually they are coming around 8-9 a.m. If you are looking for a fun and enjoyable hike, skip this one, especially during rainy days. The climbing sections are extremely hazardous and horrifying. Don't do this one without a guide, they can help you physically and with your moral, because this trail is unbelievable. I was alone so due to the rain I couldn't get over the famous "rabbit hole." I just couldn't get enough grip with or without shoes and I felt the risk of seriously hurting myself is too high. I was waiting for another people but I met first people with a guide 45 minutes later which was too far away from the top for me. So tips? If it's not a dry season, don't try it and if yes, take at least 2 guides with you no matter of your age. Wear very good waterproof hiking boots (even though locals usually do it barefoot), don't forget a bug spray/repellent and sun block, at least 2 liters of water, comfortable shorts and t-shirt and generally something which you don't mind covered in soil, mud, your own blood and sweat. This trail will make you regret your life choices. And again, DON'T TRY TO DO IT WITHOUT A GUIDE. Closest hospital for emergencies like broken limbs is in Martinique FYI.😉 If you will get into a section where you know it is over your limit, there's no shame to say STOP.

Magnificent views, well worth the effort. Intense trek, very steep at the end and climbing on some parts, ropes are laid out on these parts of the path. Some locals asked us for 30 US at the entrance. After negotiations, we paid 12US per person. The locals weren't there when we got off, so it was a bit of a money grab.

Cool looking and massive mountain. Looking at them for some time and you can lose sense of reality and space.

Amazing views and hike! Be sure to grab a guide as some parts are quite tricky and the guide can help you. ALSO! Be sure to research the price, better way is to pay at the bottom directly than taking any tour! If you have to choose between Gros or Petit Piton, I'd gladly choose this one! :)

Great hike with awesome views a the top. But it is indeed a difficult hike, many ropes and steep parts, it is almost more of a climb than a hike in some parts. It is still doable and worth it, but start early in the morning as it takes 4 to 6 hours total (up and down)! We went with Sean as a guide and he was great, you can find him in Soufrière at Hummingbird beach near the scuba diving shop.

Views were spectacular. We took a chartered tour that included a tour through several old towns on the way to the Pitons. Best was arriving down at marine for a catamaran tour and swim. Having access here to float,snorkeling and just relaxing on the beach was ideal. Just needed more time.

Sylvanes is an amazing nature guide! He taught us about all the plants and birds of St Lucia. A great reminder that everything you need can be found in nature. This tour is also a BIRDERS PARADISE — we saw all 5 birds that are endemic to St Lucia and all 3 hummingbirds. Had a wonderful time. And left with a yummy spiced rum too :) PS bring cash because there’s no electricity on the farm

Silvo was the BEST tour guide and was so knowledgeable about the plants, trees, animals, birds, bugs, everything during our tour. This was the best and most memorable experience during our honeymoon in St. Lucia (Oct. 2023) and we can not thank Silvo enough for the wonderful experience that he offered. We sampled so many fruits, cocoa, wines, nuts....and we were able to get homemade coconut oil and cinnamon from him as well. Thank you again for the incredible experience Silvo we hope to be back one day!!!!

Had a wonderful tour here! A great walk around the estate, wonderful views, so much information about native plants and birds, got to try fresh fruit and crops and then had some alcohol and cashew tasting at the end. Our guide was super friendly and answered all our questions. He also took lots of pictures of us! Need a moderate level of fitness for some of the walking bits but it’s not super long or high. Was a restroom break during it and I thought reasonably priced compared to similar activities on the island. The road to get there was a bit tricky - our little hire 4 by 4 was fine and taxis did too. Follow their instructions rather than google maps or anything - the road doesn’t exist on there. We booked a few days in advance using the WhatsApp number on their Fb page. There was a bit of confusion with the tour booking / another tour when we got there but they resolved it and were very apologetic. Maybe just text the day before confirming as well!

This was a wonderful experience! This is a great way to learn about the flora, fauna, of St Lucia, along with some of the island’s history. Silvo is very charming and knowledgeable. You’ll sample a bunch of the fruits, nuts, and vegetables grown on the estate. A lovely way to spend half a day!

This was our 2nd time in St Lucia and we wanted to do something "off the beaten path." This was a fantastic 3 hr experience with fresh produce, homemade spiced rum & wine, bird watching and an easy/moderate hike. It was a custom tour to our interests. Our guide had tremendous knowledge on the different bird and plant species, and the medicinal uses of the plants. He pointed out plants and animals along the way and took many fabulous photos for us. It was the best experience we had in St. Lucia.
