The Dilwara Temples are a group of Śvētāmbara Jain temples about 3 kilometres from the Mount Abu in Sirohi District, Rajasthan. The earliest temples were built by Bhima-1 They are famous for very pure white marble and intricate marble carvings. Temples are managed by Seth Shri Kalyanji Anandji Pedhi, Sirohi. The main buildings of first three are surrounded by "cloister" screens of devakulikā shrines, and are fairly plain on the outer walls. The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars, and panels is remarkable. The five temples are: 1. Dilwara Jain temples are one of the finest pieces of Architecture in the Indian History. The temples located just a km away from the city center are also a major tourist attraction in Mt. Abu. The Jain temples are famous for its carvings. There are close to 7 different temples within the complex and each of them seem to compete with each other on the architecture front. The top of the temples looks rustic and untidy, specially designed to prevent it from being looted and destroyed. The temples have a great piece of history and you surely need a few hours to enjoy it fully. It is open only to Jains in the morning and tourists can visit here post 11 pm once the daily rituals get over, open till 5 pm.

The architecture, the detailing on the walls, pillars, was like out of this world, it was so amazing, I couldn't believe it. So much minute , beautiful details, showing sheer hard work of the workers around 1000 years ago. I highly respect that. And that too, it's maintained in well form even today. At first, before visiting this place, I thought of it as just another Jain temple, like we have in Ranakpur (that's also very good) but this one was mind blowing. I was in awe! ❤️ Really great ✨

Wonderful archaeological monument and heritage place in Rajasthan. Enhousing the famous Jain temple. The structure remained after loot by invaders still reflect the past glory of Rajasthan. But the maintenance is in great need of much more attention and expense. The Kalptaru tree is drying and dying , the Parijat disappears from campus due to ignorance.

This temple consists of 4 different Jain temples in the same premises. Mobile phones and cameras are prohibited so I can't show you how intricate the carvings are. It's a must visit in Abu. The carvings in marble stones are out of this world.

This Hill Station Lake didn't Feel Real. It was Very Good Experience there. You don't want leave this lake even in Afternoon. It feels like the Frangnance of Environment directly comes from Heaven. And Please Don't Forget to visit Tod Rock there.

This is a beautiful man-made lake as the locals claim it to be. Has wonderful views, selfie point, a boutique temple on the edge of the lake, market is situated right next to it where you can shop and get a bit to eat, there is a boat ride that one can take. Highly recommend to take a boat ride with a private driver as the locals know all the history behind the attractions situated on the lake.

The lake is in length of about a half mile and in width about of a quarter of mile and 20 to 30 ft. deep towards the dam on the west. It is an important tourist attraction of Mount Abu. There is the Toad Rock on a hill near the lake. Toad rock is so called as it looks like a toad about to jump into the lake, from the side of the rock facing the lake. There are two ways to go up and down the rock; to climb the rocky hill side or to use the steps leading down to Nakki Lake. By the side of the lake there is a path leading to Sunset Point. It is forbidden to climb to Sunset Point due to wild animals such as bears and leopards roaming around the path to Sunset Point. Raghunath Temple and Maharaja Jaipur Palace are also on hills near the Lake. Boating in the lake and horse rides around the lake are available. Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were immersed in this holy lake on 12 February 1948 and Gandhi Ghat was constructed.

However, the best time to explore it is during monsoons and winters for honeymoon, then boat riding at Nakki lake during Sunset time is highly recommended. You Mount trip is incomplete Without visiting Nakki lake. If you are visiting alone then also you can walk around the lake.

Took a slow walk around the lake. It’s a nice serene cool walk. Took about an hour. That’s because we stopped many times. Can see the Toad Rock when you go around.

Superb place. A must visit in Mt. Abu. You can go by your own vehicle's but I would suggest if you go by local transport. As the parking place is too small, difficult to park during weekends and holiday time or vacation time. This is top pick of Mt. Abu region. The view is killing from top. Rajasthan's highest altitude - Guru Shikhar One of the best experiences of mount Abu. Lemme explain. Spotted around 15KM from mount Abu Nakki Lake. There is a temple on the peak. But the journey from nakki lake to that peak. So many attraction points are there in between. Going there with a vehicle is just another level of experience in itself. It's clearly not about the destination, it's about the journey and destination. At peak, there's just a temple and mesmerising mountain view nothing else. It will be worth it when you enjoy the journey also, the adventures in between. We took almost half a day to reach there because we stopped at so many points. Just advice not to go there by car as there is always so much traffic at peak with the car. Biking will be much better and literally enjoyable. I went there at monsoon by bike and i was feeling like riding among clouds fr. Give a day to Guru shikhar. It will easily consume your entire day but will be worth it. This institutions and their disciples dwell in the spirituality; their lecture may not hunt much but still their thinking can give you some interesting matter to think. A very unique place to visit in mount abu specially considering its calm and spiritual atmosphere. Photography inside the hall is not allowed.

It is a university, here people from different places of India and even different parts of the world come. They offered you a seven day trial of some meditation programme, and then if you are interested you can become their follower or you can leave.

Well, it is a beautiful place for finding inner peace. Saints are very helpful. But the staff at the book stalls are rude and not worthy to be here. The ruin sanctity of this place. When you don't buy books from them (which is everybody's personal choice) they start passing comments. If the authority is seeing this, please take care of this and train your staff.

I visited this place with my College group. The atmosphere here is quite pleasant and relaxing. The rooms are neat and clean. Food available here is delicious and I loved it. The cultural program and peace place were my favorite. The 'Prasad' is very divine. Everyone was very welcoming and happy. Their lectures were so peaceful that you could roam through your yourselves.

A good place to view the scenic beauty around achalgarh. Only ruins of fort are visible here and there, one old temple of goddess Kali is inside the fort and view from here is breathtaking. Few hundred metres from temple a cave of goddess Kali is also a must visit place views from here also spectacular.

If you expect fort at Achalgarh fort site then you will be disappointed because no sign of fort is there only one ruined small room is present without proper path. If you love tracking you can go. You have to first walk through ramp then have to climb (too much) lots of stairs steps then have to walk through rocks to reach ruined room. But you will get nice scenery from top of rocks and will find small temples one in small cave is also there.

Well, there on parking few kids or people will ask you for guide and share you visit of fort. Well fort is complete ruined and there is pond and remaining rooms. I suggest not take any guide. Achalgarh Fort, it’s been located at a distance of 11 kms from MountAbu city Centre. While going towards Dilwara Temple, Guru Shikhar at one juncture you need to take right which leads to Achalgarh fort. Once you reach at base there is an option of Gypsy car which can take 6-7 people at around 400 rs which will drop you there and come back to pick you up. You can take guide which will charge you 200 rs. If you want to explore then you can go by walk too as distance is not far from the base parking to fort. On the way you may take blessings of Shivji Temple which has its own history 🙏🏻 and then Jain temple on the way & lastly on the fort you can see big water pond at base along with Meerabai temple, Chamunda devi temple 🛕, Kalinka mata temple 🛕 and Kumbha cave. You can also see the scenic views of guru shikhar and hills around the area which are mismerizing. Lastly- Keep the area and surrounding clean as it’s each one of us responsibility🙏🏻 Thanks!

Nice and Lovely view from the top of the fort. There is a temple that located on the top of the mountain which is made by marble. The design and architech of the temple is outstanding. Since photography is not allowded here, you cannot click pictures inside of the temple.

Did not find any remainings of the fort at the top. However, you can go if you like trekking and want to take a view from the top. Yes, the view is good but not as good as Trever Tank and Guru Shikhar.

Good view. But keep in mind that you have to go their via jeep or two wheeler who will charge you and then you have to climb around 200 stairs and 150m of hill to get that view but it’s worth if you want to walk that much.

There is not much to see here. There is no entry fees. At the top, there is a temple that you can visit. On the way, there is a Jain temple. You can go till the entrance of the fort either by walking or by a jeep. The jeep will cost you Rs. 300.

We visited the Achleshwar Mahadev temple. ( Historical place). It is reachable by vehicle and nearby the parking. The market is small, but reasonable (must bargain to get the proper cost). Other information: We didn't visit the fort and other places Tourists vehicles are not allowed to go to fort Local guides provide the service to go near fort and information in 600 rupees for a group of six to seven persons

Great place to warship Mahadhidev Shiva, where prayer is made to his right toe. The Nadi made of Ashtdhatu and has stories about its might, is well face to Lord Shiva. Fort situated at Peak of adjoining hill, is in damaged condition and difficult to reach.

Best Fort near Mount Abu with sunset point! To reach this temple, you can reach Achalgarh temple. From there, you can take steps upwards to reach Achalgarh Fort which gives views of Achalgarh Temple and Gurushikhar. There is a sunset point on the top from where you get amazing views and works perfectly for taking photos.

Beware, for the denizens of Achalgad Fort may advise thee to park beyond the market realm, a ploy that veils a potential ruse. Verily, one can convey their vehicle nigh unto the stairwell's entrance, thus sparing thee a trek of 40 minutes. Vigilance, then, is thy shield against such cunning stratagems.

We have to pay 400rs for a jeep. Jeep will travel in a very narrow road for about 200 meters. From there you have to walk for about 500meters. Once you reach top side you will see chamunda devi Murthy. Apart from that we have another temple.

Achalgarh Fort is at a height of 1.5 km from parking zone. One can hair jeep to reach the fort gate. From there you have to take 150 to 200 steps to visit the Achalgarh Jain Temple and Chamunda Mata Temple. At Jain temple there are 14 Idols made of pure gold. Worth visiting this place as the view is awesome. Also temple of Achalaswar Mahadev is there where thumb print of Mahadev is visible.

A Place if you want to reach the temple you have climbs around 400 stairs. In between if you have felt tired you can sit on the stairs and then continue to climb. Once you reach the temple you can see the awesome scenario of the mountain. For entering the temple as per security purpose we have to despite our mobile there once you can back it will return back.

There is a lot of height and the stairs are also enough . Climbing the stairs is also tiring and enjoyable . There are many langurs on the way . Finally , it was a lot of fun to visit .

Arbuda Devi temple is one of the very old temple in rajasthan, from above 2000yrs and in top of the Mount Abu Everest, Lord arbuda Devi is sitting in between two hills, so the location is very nice to see.

5km from the heart of Mount Abu town, Trevor's Tank is a man-made crocodile breeding site and wildlife sanctuary. It is also known as Trevor's Crocodile Park and is a popular picnic spot with picturesque views. A jungle safari is available up to a certain point from where you can walk and explore the pond housing the crocodiles. Trevor's Tank is also known for birdwatching. There are multiple viewing stations created inside the forest to watch the wildlife in its natural habitat. A guide is available for the safari which can cost around IN6R 600. There is limited wildlife sighting here which includes black bear. Trevor's Tank was designed by an engineer named Col. G H Trevor who used it to breed crocodiles.

No animals or birds were seen as told, not even crocodile. Yes but you will see lot of monkeys and fishes. Nice place for photography though. The view from the top to the left side of lake is worth the money for photography. Also Maggie is delicious but somewhat costly.

Although the road is terrible, it's a terrific area to spend some quality time. Two-wheelers in particular should drive carefully. Numerous attractions may be found here, including a crocodile pond with crocodiles, a large population of monkeys, and the tranquil sounds of birds singing that you must hear if you visit Mount Abu. There is a 100 rupee per person ticket fee in addition to any car fees. I would advise going between 9 and 12 o'clock.

The best place to visit if you want to spend some time in the lap of mother Nature. All the way you didn't find any animals as advertised but still it was worth the price. Entry fees for each individual person is 150 Rs per head and if you want to bring your car along inside you'll have to pay 300 Rs extra. Beware of the monkeys as they'll try to steal the food from your hands so make sure your children are kept at a safe distance from them. My overall experience is very good. I'll recommend you. You should visit it when you visit Mount Abu.

Trevor's Tank is a picturesque destination in Mount Abu. It is the apt location where one can spend an intimate time with Mother Nature. It's an attraction that dates back to the British-India and was developed by a British engineer named Trevor. It is a place for breeding the crocodiles and to honor Trevor, this tank was named after him. Today, it is one of the must-see attractions in the hill station and is visited by the holidaymakers on a huge scale.

This is Animal Sanctuary, at Gurushikhar area , one of the best paradise feel you get here so silent, peaceful environment. Big lake with full of crocodile and colourfull fishes. That's best experience to see both in lake and site seeing near by you can go on top and get full scenery of whole mountain area. Near by sitting available for visitors and food available like corn, Maggi at lake side. Please be careful from monkey don't give any food to them. Just enjoy environment. Entry ticket you have to buy. Parking available at lakeside. Overall very good experience, if you go to Abu must visit this place also be careful because crocodile inside lake so don't go near water. Just enjoy nature's beauty , greenery and beautiful mountains. It's a Sanctuary area so don't harm any animals. Keep safe environment for animal.

Avoid going here. But if you really really want to then go ahead. It was said to be a crocodile park, but upon reaching we could only spot 1 crocodile that too very far away and upon asking the food vendor beside the park about how many crocodiles are in the park, he said 2. There are 2 selifie points but apart from that there isn't something worth it. We payed 730 Rs upon entry. ( 305 for vehical and 85 per head )

A peaceful place with a great view. The lake is full of fishes, I couldn't see any allegators as it says. Car entry charge is pretty high (350). You can spend about 30 minutes to 1 hour here and absorb the scenic beauty.

A nice place in the woods. You can take your vehicle till the end of the location. Drive in the woods is also nice. Quick bites like Maggi and tea is also available at the location. If you’re lucky you may get a chance to see the crocodiles in the lake. Nice place to hangout and chill.

U can reach at the spot by your own vehicle whether by 2 wheeler or 4 u have to buy the tickets for the same , There are currently 2 crocodile there and very hard to spot them. But a nice place not much crowded and peaceful place , proper jungle trails and lovely place to relax.

The place is quite good, yet Forest officials are charging about 130 ₹for adults, 50 ₹for students and cars/bikes 300 ₹.

Very expensive to enter specially of you want to visit with a four wheeler. Not much to offer. With no facilities regarding sanctuary guides or vehicles. No restrooms inside. Even no dustbins were found. Only one small tea stall run by some local person offeeing tea/coffee/maggie. Bo information on wild life to be seen inside. We managed to get help from a small kid who told the Pond has only 2 small crocodiles which we were able to spot with his help. Otherwise no officials appointed to help tourists or trekkers.

You can get your own vehicle to a certain point over here. But if you want to go deep inside the forest then you need to hire a government authorised jeep services which are available for ₹700 per person which will take your deep inside the jungle.

The entry fees are too high for the place as there is not much to explore inside. But you can definitely click some good pictures here.

For the newely – married couples, this is really a place full of very much charm. That’s why many visitors do come just to celebrate ‘Honey Moon’ at Mount Abu. It provides a sereneaura with a pleasant view of the verdant valley and plains. It looks especially beutiful during the sun set hour. The area gets its name from the scores of honeymoon couples that frequent it. Also known as the Andra Point, it offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. This is very nice point facing valley. You can see beautiful sunset from this place. To reach to this point you need to walk for 1.25 km from gate. No vehicles are allowed after 3.00 pm due to small road and huge rush. Visiting sunset point require equal walking and additional fees of rs 75 per person , in comparison this place is better. Less crowded,good view gallery. You can see marvelous scenic sunset from this place. On the way you also see good scenic points.

Very peaceful environment is there. Good place to visit with family thought. You will feel mental peace and inner satisfaction of being your life alive. Great adventurous place that you have to go there through mountain road and place resides at the mount abu hill. Everyone should visit the place at least once in a life. We can also enjoy sunset from here and get best view of sunset from this place.

This is such a beautiful place. We went there just for the view but there we found out that this place also known as Sunset Point. So we wait till sunset and we really enjoyed. A lot of public was there for sunset view. You can easily reach there by walking from Toad Rock, it will take around 15 minutes. You only need to walk around the Nakki Lake and you will reach. Great view point for watching sunset, it is having ample space to accommodate a large crowd. The access to the point is mostly restricted for two/four wheelers and everybody is expected to do a hike of 1.5 KMs by foot to get there. There is also a Vinayak temple right next to it.

Well...the place is good. Here u will find a breath taking view of Mount Abu City. But there is no safety precautions maintained. It's very dangerous point rather than a view point.

Beautiful place to watch the same sunset for free away from the crowded sunset point but be prepared to walk for 1-2 miles on a beautiful scenic route or you can hire Horse or Cart ride if you don't want to walk

This point is known as Honeymoon point as there is heart snapped stones arranged and where we can take a couple pics. But rather than honeymoon point, it is best known as Sunset Point where people come to see beautiful sunset in winter. At this point, too many monkeys are also there. We can feed them but carefully. There is no any entry fee.

Honeymoon Point, a mere 15-minute trek from the parking space, doth provide but scant diversions. There lie flower farms for capturing likenesses, yet for the venturesome, a descent upon the right path to Andra Road unfolds a spectacular vista after a steep 15-minute journey. The view, in mine opinion, doth render the arduous trek most worthy.

It's nice place. Try to visit it in winter, because there are nothing over your head in summer to protect from the heat of the sun

We visited Honeymoon Point during a recent trip to Mount Abu and were astounded by the stunning vistas. Want some peaceful visit then go early morning. You have to walk 1.5-2km but if you go early morning u can hear birds sounds with silence walking. I got beautiful experience of early walking and peaceful sitting there.

This is one of the best place of rajasthan.... The sunset point of mount abu is heart touching...... At the top of mount abu feel like whole world is under us & we are top of the world..... Jain temples are so old.... Creation of temples is heart touching & uniquely... Awsome place guys...Excellent weather, wonderful ecosystem, great diversity of species. Getting tremendous human disturbance and pressure makes this place now a days more cumbersome than before.

Fair warning, do not expect to see much of wildlife during the day or even in early evening. But you can see bear claw marks all over the place and even leopard pugmarks if you're lucky enough. But the view is absolutely breathtaking. The best way to explore the hills is by trekking through the forest reaching various hilltops and view points. It's a beginner level trek which will take 2-3 hours but includes some rough patches which will challenge the new trekkers. You can indulge in caving and rock climbing as you go. Best part about it for me was the rawness of the path. It seemed untouched except for a few spots where idiots left trash unattended. The trek leaves you thrilled and the view, mesmerized. There are various camping options near the area. We chose mount Abu adventures and they were an amazing host. With cozy camps of various sizes, separate bonfires, delicious food and attentive staff they made the stay fun and comfortable. Try reaching the top most point as the sun is setting for beautiful view and really cool pictures. Ask the local guides for stories about the area to keep you entertained during the ascent. Happy travelling!

Its nice and tranquil place. No crowd unlike other tourist points in Mt Abu. Its more or less garden with hill rocks. No Bear,, no crocodile, nothing except monkeys. If you have interest in wild life then do not come. But if you like a calm, cool and tranquility experience then this place is good. NEVER VISIT MOUNT ABU in summer. Its horribly hot place in summe day temperature 42-44 is usual . Best season:- November to January.

Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary spreads out into a plateau which is about 19 km long and 6 km wide. In altitude, it ranges from 300m to 1,722m at Guru Shikhar. This popular sanctuary in Rajasthan is known for its biodiversity of flora and was established in 1980. Around 800 floral species can be found at Mount Abu Sanctuary. It is the only place in Rajasthan where one can sight a variety of orchids. This wildlife sanctuary is the habitat for many animals and birds and is considered a paradise for nature lovers. This place, divided into many different parts, and Trevor’s Tank is the most popular one. This man-made edifice is home to many crocodiles who are kept here for safe breeding.

The scenery is good but I saw 7 wild boar and some wild chickens and that is it for the wildlife. There should be around 300 bears in that area but because of diwali there where to much firecrackers in the evening and the bears where not found.

Beautiful hall and an introduction to the Brahma Kumaris philosophy. When you are visiting Mount Abu there are many pilgrims dressed in white - all follows of Braham Kumaris. When you visit the Peace Hall you get a short talk by one of the followers - with no pressure at all. Very interesting and worth stopping off to learn.

Clear sky great Boating experience

Did not plan anything before going to Mount Abu, and was looking for some nature's feel and experience. Turned out to be a great decision and would be going here soon again. In this rainy season the place and area nearby(forest) is like heaven. A lot to explore on foot. Great place to feel connected with nature. Also the staff there is very helpful and provides excellent service, be it anything. Good thing about such a place is that every other guest there starts conversation and then you become friends with those strangers and that experience is really different from what you get from Hotel rooms.

What an amazing camping experience, I totally loved it. Mount Abu Adventures only can give you such experience. I was camping in nature's lap. Food was very delicious and hygienic. Staffs were well behaved. Umed ji is always there to take care of everything. Going trekking and caving with him is another achievement. Toad rock is now outdated for me, my amazing trek leader Umed ji showed snake, sheshnaag and rhino shaped rocks during trek. He also explained me about the variety of flora and fauna there, only a true nature lover can do that. Views from the top of hills was mesmerizing. I recommend everyone should go trekking and caving, it gives you amazing perspective about Mount Abu. They have also guided me for my city tour and took me to the Jain temple. A Perfect place for camping and hiking activities. We went there in monsoon.(July last week) Hike becomes extremely beautiful after heavy rains. Location is absolutely perfect as you wont see any hotels or houses around you. it is on the edge of the forest, so bear and leopard sighting can be possible. Tents are nice and clean, they make sure that they keeps the things very clean. Food is super tasty, just like home. Toilets are fine with proper water supply. we stayed for 24 hours with a hike. which was extremely Beautiful. We were hiking through dense forest, bushes, waterfalls, many caves and in the end, the top of the mountain was extremely thrilling and amazing. Everyone we met there was very warm and supportive. Service was great as well. Their main objective was to provide a satisfactory experience to the guests. Main Things which I personally liked : Hike Food Location Overall Experience Totally Recommended for all age groups.

Nice Staying in tents. Food is fine. Manager kishore bhai(fortuner) treated us very friendly. Washrooms are clean. Best part is trekking with hunter(their trekking guide). It was great stay here.Kudos to their entire team.

The entire experience was INCREDIBLE!! The views were breathtaking and the food was fresh and delicious. We went for hiking and it was the best adventure we’ve had so far!! Most importantly, the people there were so welcoming and helpful. It’s a 10/10 experience and anyone who goes to Abu should definitely visit.

apart from cemented lifeless stays , the campsite offers pure nature and wilderness . tents are branded , comfortable and well ventilated . the view of forest and mountains is exhilarating. western washrooms , delicious meals , trekking caving , climbing all is good . best thing , the climate of mount abu remains cool ... breezy all the time , which is ideal for camping . will come again with family and friends . Beautiful jain temple on the top of the mountain. The atmosphere is very calm and beautiful. You have to climb a few stairs and walk to reach this location. All types of facilities are available here, The temple is beautiful and well maintained with beautiful carvings on the wall. The idol is also beautiful.

Come here early morning, at around 8 to get the best views surrounding the temple. You need to climb approx. 200-300 steps to reach the temple. The temple complex is beautiful. Very calming idols of Jain Tirthankar. The valley behind the temple looks magical with clouds running across the valley with the rising sun warming the air. Once you are done with visiting the temple, walk further uphill. There are couple of Hindu temples, a pond & even more gorgeous views to soak in.

Very beautiful , peaceful , cool , calm and sweet spot. The marble covered area is very nice looking . The water is available. Rooms are also available. The marble steps leading to the main temple looks like stairs leading to heaven. The carvings are nice . The view offered is splendid. The idol is also very beautiful. The hole complex gives a pious feeling. The temple must be reached via a small walk in the quite gentle slopes of Aravalli.

The climb through the steps of Achalgarh fort takes you to the entrance to the Jain temple before the very top of the steps. A sense of serenity envelops the courtyard, with its white marble pillars and carved sculptures. From the courtyard a few more steps will take you to the shrine. The main idol weighs several tons and is made of Panchloha. The temple is a “chaumukhi”, with an idol facing all four cardinal directions. There is a second set of chaumukhi idols above the main shrine, accessed by yet another short flight of steps. There are 3 other temples just before the enterance of main temple. Dharamshala and bhojanashala facilities available here. It is just 5 km away from Delwada temples. Must visit such tirth atleast once in life. This temple is almost on the highest point of the fort. Must appreciate the workers who build this temple in those times.

An old Jain temple complex. Very peaceful clean place. Tirthankar statues weighing several tons, are made in Panch Dhatu 8 of which are in a single 2 story temple. No photography is allowed Inside. Temple provides accommodation for pilgrims.

Holy place to visit. Have to hire jeep from main car parking area. About 150 steps to main Tample gate & again about 100 steps inside to reach from Darshan.

This raghunath temple known as the best temple of hindus,it is a reincarnation of the vishnu ji,it is very near to nakki lake, very nice structure of temple. Good place to visit. Shri Raghunath Ji Temple is a Hindu temple. It is the anicient temple of Hindaun City .The temple is approximately 650 year old.

Although Jains built many temples at other places Dilwara temples are believed to be the most impressive .

The Dilwara Temples are a group of Śvētāmbara Jain temples about 3 kilometres from the Mount Abu in Sirohi District, Rajasthan. The earliest temples were built by Bhima-1 They are famous for very pure white marble and intricate marble carvings. Temples are managed by Seth Shri Kalyanji Anandji Pedhi, Sirohi. The main buildings of first three are surrounded by "cloister" screens of devakulikā shrines, and are fairly plain on the outer walls. The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars, and panels is remarkable. The five temples are: 1. Vimal Vasahi, dedicated to the 1st Jain Tirthankara, Shri Adinatha. 2. Luna Vasahi, dedicated to the 22nd Jain Tirthankara, Shri Shri Neminatha. 3. Pittalhar temple, dedicated to the 1st Jain Tirthankar, Shri Adinatha. 4. Parshvanath temple, dedicated to the 23rd Jain Tirthankara, Shri Parshvanatha. 5. Mahavir Swami temple, dedicated to the 24th Jain Tirthankara, Shri Mahavir Swami.

Dilwara Jain temples are one of the finest pieces of Architecture in the Indian History. The temples located just a km away from the city center are also a major tourist attraction in Mt. Abu. The Jain temples are famous for its carvings. There are close to 7 different temples within the complex and each of them seem to compete with each other on the architecture front. The top of the temples looks rustic and untidy, specially designed to prevent it from being looted and destroyed. The temples have a great piece of history and you surely need a few hours to enjoy it fully. It is open only to Jains in the morning and tourists can visit here post 11 pm once the daily rituals get over, open till 5 pm.

Entry to this temple is permitted to everyone and it really is a beautiful temple. Everything inside the temple is made from marble, the structures and sculptures are too beautiful.

The architecture, the detailing on the walls, pillars, was like out of this world, it was so amazing, I couldn't believe it. So much minute , beautiful details, showing sheer hard work of the workers around 1000 years ago. I highly respect that. And that too, it's maintained in well form even today. At first, before visiting this place, I thought of it as just another Jain temple, like we have in Ranakpur (that's also very good) but this one was mind blowing. I was in awe! ❤️ Really great ✨

Wonderful archaeological monument and heritage place in Rajasthan. Enhousing the famous Jain temple. The structure remained after loot by invaders still reflect the past glory of Rajasthan. But the maintenance is in great need of much more attention and expense. The Kalptaru tree is drying and dying , the Parijat disappears from campus due to ignorance.

This temple consists of 4 different Jain temples in the same premises. Mobile phones and cameras are prohibited so I can't show you how intricate the carvings are. It's a must visit in Abu. The carvings in marble stones are out of this world.
