Great Temple. There are five important temples in Seoul with this one being the most important one. So if you don’t have that much time, just choose this one. This place is really crowded but enormous at the same time. Important to remember is that you need to move out from spots where tourists flock and you will definitely find the best spots. I chose to go on a really cold day 😂 But it's a pretty place. Coming from India we are used to seeing huge palaces but this one looks rather cozy :) They have free guided tour at specific timings. I got it at 13.30 in English. That was really nice, the tour guide Suyon was really sweet, she took her time in explaining about the culture and the palace . There is a pond , water was frozen and it looked surreal. I am sure the spring and autumn would be prettier :)

I cant believe how gorgeous this place is! This experience was worth every penny. The structures are stunning and beauty follows you at every turn. I could go for a week and still now see enough if this. Mind you I'm a real big fan of historical architecture and Asian History.. so it was a BIG WIN for me to come here. The museum attached to it is also stunning and super informative!! I'll be going back one more time before I leave. A very picturesque palace which was much larger than I expected. I'd definitely suggest you to have somewhat of a guided tour or a booklet explaining you the history as information is limited within the palace.

You can also see the beautiful traditional architecture they used and all the big and small rooms in the palace. Make sure to get the audio guide if you would prefer to slowly walk at your own pace. Otherwise just the entrance ticket is very affordable. Or you can get a hanbok from nearby and enter for free. The palace is very very big, so try to go early if you wanna walk through all the parts. They have a beautiful lake pagoda which you should visit. It is in lots of Korean drama. Toilet might be a little far out, so if you walked pass one, make sure to go. Came during winter and it is very quiet and peaceful. There were not a lot of tourists or crowd. We could stroll at our own pace and it was an enjoyable day.

Gyeongbokgung Palace is a fantastic place to visit and a must see for any trip to Seoul. Access is very easy and there are many areas that offer great photo opportunities. The view from the main gate is probably the most famous and also definitely the most crowded. If you want to take a picture here you may have to settle for other people in the background. However, once you get further into the palace grounds it becomes a lot less crowded to the point where once your at the back of the palace there sometimes isn't any other people around and you get a more relaxed private experience. Overall, Although a little busy at the entrance, visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace is a must for any traveller to Seoul.

I have been to Seoul, Busan and Jeju. This is my favourite shopping street in Korea. This visit to Myeongdong is my third travel here. Myeongdong reminds me of why I like to travel to Korea in the first place.

When come to korea, you won’t miss this place especially with teenagers. 💯 % tourist place and you have lots of shops for bargain and street food was lining up at night to sell all kinds local street food. Very crowded and you can imagine the night is packed with local and tourist especially at night. Many tourist guides standing around to provide you direction and hence very convenient to walk around .

Lots of shopping anytime of the day but the night market is when the food vendors come out en masse. I really enjoy the duck skewers but there’s so much selection like ice cream, egg bread, dragon’s beard candy, beef skewers and so much more! Literally you can Go shopping, eat a few items and go back and forth , great time to be had!

Great view of the city!!! It takes a while to get to the top, the elevator, than the cable car, than some stairs, and than the lift, so plan your time. Try and get to the top at sunset. It amazing!! The night view is also spectacular, so don't miss it. Just make sure the weather is clear. The place is very well organized, and even though there are many people here, everything is running smoothly.

Excellent view of the city. I went up the tower 30min before sunset which was ideal for the view of the city in the day and night. Managed to get some great pictures without too much inference from other city tourists. I did hike up to the tower on foot but make sure you have decent shoes, great views as you go up. A Cable car is available to those of us who like to relax. Leave yourself some time to take pictures and peruse the souvenir shops and coffee shop at the footing of the tower.

You can see a portion of Seoul and just imagine how busy the city is. You may also check out the love locks and the section where you can draw your “fortune ball.” There are also a few cafés and shops around. Getting here requires a short uphill walk. Gorgeous place to go on an outing. N Seoul Tower is also quite famous for their "love lockers," in which couples take locks with their initials and store them anywhere in the area. It's a little lonely when you're quite single, but the sights are outrageously gorgeous. I took the scenic route by walking the whole 2.3km up, and ended up with very nice views of Seoul. Highly recommended! In addition to the pavillion, the Namsan Tower houses 7 floors with different shops, a game arcade and even photo booths!

Good place to have a look at Seoul's skyline. The entry ticket is reasonably cheap but there isn't too much to do at the observation deck. Unfortunately, the windows were quite dirty and some views/photos weren't as good as they should have. Definitely come at sunset to enjoy both day and night views of the city. The park around the tower is also super nice and worth exploring. There are good opportunities to take photos of the skyline in the park itself if you want to save some money.

I’ve been to Seoul many times, and have always wanted to visit Seoul Tower. We decided to go on a weekday to avoid the large crowd, and it was quite packed on a Thursday afternoon after lunch. We didn’t buy tickets in advance, and it was still an easy process - round trip ticket for 14,000 원 per person for adults and 21,000 원 per person for the observation deck which might not be worth it, but a lot to see and do while at Seoul Tower and we probably spent close to two hours there site seeing and taking pics. Then relaxed and ordered drinks and enjoyed the scenic views from the top.

Reserve some extra time for Cable car waiting line and try to get there by sunset. I always do that when visiting observatories around the World like Sky Tree is Tokyo or Gardens by the bay in Singapore. In Seoul, you will never forget the experience. The geography of the city spread between mountains and water is harmonious and cope well with the urban landscape. Don't miss it.

This is such an amazing place, especially in Spring time (end of March) There is a free bus going up to the top of the mountain, the view along the way is maleficent that words cannot describe. You can choose to walk down instead of bus to enjoy the fresh air here. All you need is a good camera to capture those wonderful scenes There is no need to go to the top of the tower because it is not free and the view is just the same.

Its a good place to see the birds view of old city. Either you can take rope car ticket for to and fro journey to the top or there is are very long steps to take. There are few fast foods chains at the top and its a good place to chill. We were there on a weekday and it wasn't crowded, its said to be very crowded on weekends. Love lock is another main attraction of this place and there are a lot around the tower. Take tower ticket to see glimpse of new city as well.

If you love K-drama.. this is a place where you must visit. It's a lovely place. You don't need to pay the extra to go all the way to the top.., but if you want to.. the view is very nice. Just observing at the lower levels is good enough..(that's where the locks are). The locks that are locked up are quite dirty and moldy.. so make sure once you lock up your lock.. wash your hands... there's also a place to "throw" away the keys.

Pretty view but soooo busy and took super long to get into the cable car. It was very hot in the waiting area, which was rough after the uphill walk to get there. They pack a ton of people into each car, so if you're in the middle, you can't see any of the views on the way up. Once you finally get to the top, the view is pretty nice but you have to pay for additional tickets if you want to go up to the actual tower. I assume some school was on a field trip because there were kids absolutely everywhere. Cute gift shop though if you're into souvenirs.

8 Oct2023: Nice to visit but honestly I did not get the "wow" factor. Likely because when I visited, autumn has yet to start, and all I see are greens. Perhaps I'd enjoy it more if I did not have any expectations in the first place. The tower, in my opinion, isn't very high up. Perhaps the view at night may be better.

Nice place to hang around with friends and family. The weather was good when we went there. The live shows by local artisans are a must watch (not sure if they are performed daily, though). Enough eating joints around...suiting all palates. The view is great. City, water bodies, horizon, sunshine and ofcourse, the snow around - all add to the beauty of the place.

The tower isn't that impressive but the view is! Definitely good to see Seoul from the above and take really nice pics. Though I went during the weekend and it was way too crowded and busy to really enjoy fully. It felt like too touristy. But definitely good to do it as a first time and admire the panoramic view.

Loved the day heading up N Seoul Tower. Took the cable car up the mountain, short walk and the elevator to the top! Food and snacks available on site, prices are reasonable and the view over Seoul on a nice day is amazing. Went with two small kids otherwise would have done the walk up instead of the cable car, quite an easy walk. Lucky to see the Korean Cultural office perform at 3pm. Only tip is to make sure the air quality is good so you get the best view.

Literally, a living historic village. Take a walk back in time and roam around the small short hills of this ancient village. There's this uncanny blend of current living with historic culture. Short walking distance away are the two largest palaces in Seoul. Several awesome cafes nearby as well.

Beautiful alleyways among traditional houses so close to the city. It is a delight to explore this place - do not need maps here. Just stroll about and get lost in the small alleys with these well preserved houses. There are many cafes blended within - take the opportunity to hang out in one preferably with window overlooking the streets to people watch and admire the view.

I always love how old buildings are well preserved. This area is still amazing, but sometimes the place is too crowded. However, I had 1 minute to get a photo of empty streets, but after that, it got crowded, ASAP. (See pictures) I hope tourists always obey the rules of this village, so we can enjoy the ambience.

Super commercialized already. It's supposed to be a traditional village but with the presence of the stores and the souvenir shops, the experience is less authentic and more like a tourist trap. We went here after our visit to the palace. We just walked under the heat of the summer sun. You may rent Hanbok and take pictures in the area.

A residential neighbourhood consisting of traditional Korean styled houses with unique heritage architecture. Many small hilly alleys to view and marvel at the architecture but do keep in mind that the houses still have living residents hence, please respect the residents living in the houses and not create a noisy commotion. Be mindful by not being overly drastic in taking photos in front of their houses with the marvellous architectural backdrop. Many people flock to the area to walk around and explore to take photos as well hence try to be considerate and give everyone a chance to enjoy the scenery.

I nice place to visit a short walk from Seoul Royal Palace (Gyeongbokgung). There isn’t much but still quite worth seeing. To get to the main photogenic spot keep walking straight into the alley from the map marker where you go quite a bit up hill. There’s also maps around the area that guide you though a route through multiple villages in the same area if you wish to see more. There’s a traditional dress (both men and women) rental shop down the road from the entrance to the alley which is quite a popular thing for tourists to do.

This is a neighborhood of Korean traditional houses. They look cute, and a lot of people are taking their pictures here. However, please be mindful that this is actually a residential area, and you should keep it quiet :) There are plenty of shops too in this neighborhood.

Get here bright and early! I visited the town on a weekday and was there around 07:30 (which is not even that early). You basically get the entire streets to yourself and don’t have to wait to take your photos. Sun was also nice and low and not yet as hot.

The route where the houses are is actually somewhat overrated, in my opinion. Though very picturesque. It does get very busy, if you are planning to take lots of photos then i recommend getting there earlier. I think you can only explore the street freely from 10-5pm. The surround area is really nice. There are some trendy cafes and bars worth visiting. A nice place to walk around and take in the atmosphere.

Love this quieter historic village with many ancient homes especially Dr Baek-Inje property. Many cute shops and cafes and restaurants. Very walkable and perfect for many photo shots. Definitely a highlight of Seoul. Nearby palaces and museums. Can spend several days in this area.

Its basically a residential area so please be respectful and quiet around the area. Generally open at 9am ish for the attraction but you can walk around respectfully. Lots of hills though so you need to be prepared. There is a route suggested and don't forget to visit the cultural exhibition house across from the entrance behind the convenience store. There are tourist guides in red who walk around with a map do ask them if you are lost as they can show you the way and can speak english too

Incredible palace that takes you back in history, the buildings are so vibrantly coloured and there are lots to walk around (although none you can go inside, you can look in from the outside of some). Make sure that you are there early, not many people and you can have some quiet time The secret gardens are a separate ticket which must be bought but this is also a must

These palace grounds are among the best attractions in Seoul. In fact, there are multiple palaces on the grounds so there are lots of things to see. Beautiful architecture, lots of history and even has a secret garden which is a lovely walk. The secret garden tends to only be a guided tour at a specific time so grab tickets early before entering the grounds. Definitely worth a visit!

There is a dedicated webpage with short videos in English and many other languages so it’s great to listen to those while visiting the various buildings. End of March and some of the trees have blossomed but not in full yet. Sunday morning go very early but be prepared to get annoyed by too many people too quickly. Secret garden ticket was sold separately.

A cultural landmark that needs to be visited when in Seoul. I havent been to any of the other royal palaces in Seoul so I cant compare but we thought this place was great and not crowded (we visited a weekday in May). Ive been here before and then it was much more crowded, but even then it felt like there were plenty of space for everyone. You should probably combine this with the "Secret Garden" but unfortunately we didnt have the time. I recommend this place.

Very nice palace and a must to visit. Entry is only 3000 won (excluding the hidden garden). We went on a tuesday and it was mediocre full at the time. Though the area is big and the crowd spreads out a lot. Definitely would come again and also visit the hidden garden next time.

Among the palaces in Seoul this is my favorite. Its arhitecture was designed according to the land and respecting the nature and not by the architectural Confucian laws therefore more it's even interesting to explore. You will also find furniture and other traces of modernization since it was adjusted so under the first Emperor of Korea (Go Jeong).

It is smaller than Gyeongbokgung Palace, but it has nothing to envy: impressive, beautiful, and huge. I also recommend that you do the palace gardens "secrets of gardens" which, unfortunately, are only done in group visits.@

Very cool and beautiful palace. They offer a free app that gives you an audio guide through your phone which was actually really useful and entertaining. We'd wander to each place, find a shady spot to sit, and listen to the guide. It was sometimes silly but informative. The area is huge and there are so many different things to see. We came on a reallllllly hot day. There were enough shady places to sit and cool down (sort of). Still a lovely place to visit and learn a bit more about such a historical building.

In my opinion, Changdeokgung the most beautiful palace. It is really large and you should spend around 4-5 hours to visit. There is alao a Secret Garden here which cost 5.000 won to enter. I love wearing hanbok and walk around the palace This will be the most memorable moment

A huge and serene palace that leads to the Secret Garden which is one of the most visited attraction in these palace compounds. Definitely recommended to purchase the Royal Palace Pass at the ticket office to the side of the entrance prior to entry as it allows access to multiple palaces and the secret garden too - a better deal than buying individual tickets!

We visited as part of the free transfer tour offered at Incheon International Airport. We had 5 hours of layover time and this tour was designed to fit that short schedule. The palace grounds are immaculately kept. The paint and design work is bright and clean. Local families were dressed in what appeared to be formal attire for photos with the many blossoming trees. We wished we'd had a few hours to really internalize this UNESCO heritage location.

Changdeokgung Palace is magnificent. The palace grounds are enormous and very popular. The quiet back corners and gardens (on an early morning) were my favorite areas to visit. While often empty of crowds, they were full of beautiful color, architecture, and greenery. Changdeokgung Palace (and all five of Seoul’s Royal Palaces) is one of the largest, most beautiful historical landmarks that I’ve ever seen. If you’re able to visit Seoul, I highly recommend you dedicate a day to make your visit here. Definitely visit Irworobongdo, the famously stylized Korean folding screen located in the main hall of the palace (also known as "Painting of the Sun, Moon and the Five Peaks"). Friendly tips: -Arrive as early as you can in the day, preferably when they open, since this will significantly reduce the crowd sizes. -You’re allowed to bring backpacks and water bottles inside (which I’d recommend if it’s a hot day). -Be aware that some areas might be closed for renovation at various points. Much more relaxed and chill when compared with Gyeongbukgong. Also, discovered the guided tour (70mins) that takes you around the main sights. Very interesting tour. Worth going on it. It’s 11:30am.

Beautiful palace! They have different hours for different seasons so make sure you check hours seasonally. If you are wearing hanbok, it's free to enter the palace. There is a secret garden you need to purchase ticket for separately and they sell out regardless of palace entrance fee, if you want to see the garden as well, I'd recommend going there earlier. They offer detailed guides in different languages and it seems as it is offered every hour.

It's a beautiful palace complex to explore with very nice gardens. I would recommend reserving enough time for it to walk around and visit all attractions including the palace that offers a VR experience and a little gift. It was not crowded at all and hence more relaxing than Gyeongbokgung Palace.

This remembers the brave people that fought for the freedom of South Korea. Everything is beautifully displayed and the museum itself is amazing. It's enormous but shows all the wars that ever took place in Korea in an explanatory way. Everything is very clear and there is a wide variety of different artifacts to help you understand the stories.

It was beautiful. Those who likes history and museums would surely love it here. The history are focused on the military and war history, from Korea in the BC era to the modern era. I spend around 2-3 hours, and still have not seen everything. They have explanation in English so foreigner are very welcome here. And it's free.

Sobering reminder that freedom is never free. Excellent museum and memorial. Exhibits include items from as far back as Neolithic times, and showcase a lot of Korea's history. There are videos in multiple languages, including English and Chinese. I loved seeing the Turtle Boat replica, and learning about both ancient and recent conflicts in Korea. The section on the Korean War is moving and emotional. You can search the names of those lost in the war and find their names on plaques outside the museum. If you have any interest in history, military, or have a personal connection to the Korean War, I highly recommend going. You will need several hours to see every exhibit. We spent 3.5 hrs here and saw about half of the exhibits.

Most amazing war museum, covers all of Koreans wars, very well displayed and it's free. Well worth a visit, 4 to 5 hours.

There was so much to learn and I felt they laid out the direction of the museum to the historical time-line very well! I don't recommend bringing small children since there is mostly reading material, but if you do, they do incorporate interactive screens (more reading material) and several visual displays/models if that keeps them occupied. 😊 I left this memorial wanting to learn more. They did an awesome job sharing so many interesting details of Korean history.

Incredible museum and memorial. I recommend it to everyone who is in Seoul. It's so well done, very informative and nice to walk around. The museum is insanely big, so I will go back a few times to read everything and slowly make my way through. We were very lucky to be there at the same time as a sort of parade/demonstration that was very impressive to watch. I don't know if it was a one time thing or not. It's free and there are also free lockers for your bag/coat/etc.

This museum is massive in size and excellent in quality. Whats more, its also free entry (!!). One can easily spend 4-6 hours here, but 2hrs can be enough to run through it. All the exhibitions are presented in a world-class way. It is an absolute must as a tourist to come here and get to know Korean history. A personal favorite was the corner-gun that I discovered in one of the many gun-racks. However the place is jammed with amazing things to see and stories to read and explore. Its also a lesson for other countries how to present your history to locals and foreigners alike.

The place is packed with history and shows how great the country is and how patriotism saved the country. There are some heavy sections in the museum where you might feel for those who fall in the battles fought. But the pieces are beautifully crafted, and there are plenty of lore to explain each one.

The place's name is the war memorial of Korea but the place is more like the war history in Korea. The museum is very nice and the displays were amazing.

Free museum in Seoul that has replicas of fighter jets and tanks and boats outside before you walk in. It talks about the history of wars during the Korean empire up through the Korean War and Vietnam war. It is very good history lesson and also has a memorial to all the fallen soldiers, highly recommend you spend 1-2 hours here learning about the history of Korea

You can definitely spend an entire day here. It's full of history and interesting facts about the Korean War that many may not know about. This museum is a must when you visit Seoul if you want to learn about the country's significant history. During fall time, the military does a special performance at 2pm - daily?- I believe. We were blessed enough to have the privilege to watch the show and it was amazing. They describe each event in Korean and in English.

This was probably the best museum I've ever been in even though I didn't get a chance to go inside as it was already closed. I wondered around the yard/outside area of the museum and it left me speechless. The place is huge, clean, well-organized, very detailed, and family friendly. There were so many things I never knew about the Korean War, so much history. I guess this will be on my bucket list; visiting the inside of the museum.

War museum and memorial. Outdoor and indoor vehicle exhibit is the best. The museum itself is mediocre, not a lot of fun artifacts. You can see all the names of the people who died for the freedom of this nation! Countless.

Very nice, they explained the history of Korea. The Greeks' participation was with 10.255 troops, killed in action 187 soldiers.

A must visit and well-detailed museum about Korea's past and wars to save their country from Enemy invasion. This museum is absolutely huge and can take a full day to complete. I highly recommend it and it is also free of charge.

The highlight of my visit. Very educational and interactive. The vehicles and equipments on display outside alone was worth a day exploring. Take your time inside as well and follow the route based on the arrows on the floor. Also entry is free except for special exhibits

One of the most stunning things in the world. A beautiful tribute to the citizens of Seoul. As a foreigner it was such a special place to visit. Relaxing and serene whereby locals go out for late night walks and runs. The stream is also decorated and looks absolutely amazing during the Buddhas birthday.

one of the iconic place in seoul. Based on historical, in 1970's this area is a rather shabby and poorly maintained area. but now turned into a clean area and become one of the destinations of tourists visiting seoul

I come here every time I'm in Seoul and it never disappoints. It's a peaceful walk that goes through a lot of convenient stations. Really beautiful and you don't even have to spend a single cent for it. You can walk the canal and get off at any of the numerous exits or you can sit on the steps by the water. Really really clean and definitely a must visit for those of you tired of shopping.

We visited Cheonggyecheon canal in the evening. The weather was very nice with cool breeze in summer night. There were many musicians singing songs along the 11-km canal with inspector on bike checking permits. Strolling along the canal is highly recommended since it was so romantic at night where you can walk along green trees, listen to stream flows with changing views differently, and beautiful lighting of Seoul buildings. There were some art pieces dotted along the pathway especially on the left bank so be sure to check them out. Lots of seatings on both sides to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

It's one of the must visit places nearby kyeongbok Palace. I love how it is always well maintained and blended well with the environment in the middle of the high traffic city. By looking at it and walking beside it, it makes me smile and so refreshing.

It’s great! Didn’t expect it to be something you could interact with. People jogging, sitting around, dipping their feet into the stream, it’s a really nice walk.

One of my favorite places in Seoul. Walking along this stream is a great way to see the city without having to deal with the hustle and bustle of the city.

Very fun place and lots of things to do and see. Great for the kids. It was very busy the weekend we went so wait times for popular rides were close to 2 hours! Decided not to ride those rides and stuck to the kids rides which were still 20-30 minutes. Due to the wait times, we didn't get to experience the more popular attractions. Food choices were good but not great. The atmosphere was probably the best part. Lots of people were dressed up and it was a great place for teens and families to hang out. Great location and easy to get to using the subway. Some advice, buy tickets in advance. There are discounts for locals so see if you can find someone local to purchase your tickets ahead of time.

My family and I enjoyed this amusement park. There were rides at the indoor and outdoor area. Food were easily accessible. The French Revolution, Comet Express and Atlantis were popular rides thus be prepared to wait for a long time for it. The trick would be conquer the rest of the rides and come back for it. Do keep a lookout for some kids who will try to sneak in to cut your queue. Their trick would be one of them will sneak in front and if he gets in successfully, after a while, he will pretend to call for the rest of the group to join in. Just kindly tap the person if he cuts queue and he would be quietly retreat back to his original queue line. Other than that, this is a nice place to spend the whole day at. Some even spend 2 days here! P.S (Just for tourists - Ask me how to get the tickets cheaper and also get easy access into the amusement park. You can even come out of it once a day to have a breather)

Overhyped theme park that costs so much and charges more on some rides. Too many people on the weekends so don’t go then. Fast pass is expensive as well. The pro would be good is still decently priced inside the park as well as the souvenirs. Crane machines are great though and staff is nice and friendly.

I'd say it's worth visiting at least once. I wouldn't go again but I enjoyed it for what it is. Definitely buy tickets ahead of time and get your "reservation" tickets for the rides that gives it. We saw a lot of kids and students sitting on the floor in long lines waiting as we walked by and handed our reservation ticket. It's free and efficient but you do have to go on the ride in that 30min window.

Amazing place! We went here on a Monday morning at 10:15am. If you plan to use the Discover Seoul Pass to enter the park, please remember to use the Wild Tour Gate to enter. You need to get an entry ticket - just show your Discover Seoul Pass to the ticket counter at the Wild Tour Gate and they’ll give you the entry ticket. This gate also has very little crowd compared to the Main Gate which has a long queue to enter. When we entered at 10:15am, there was no queue and zero waiting time at the Wild Tour Gate. Atlantis was an over-hyped ride. If you’re looking for a very thrilling roller coaster, I recommend French Revolution. The entrance to French Revolution roller coaster is on the second floor in the indoor section (not in Magic Island outside). I suggest you reach the park early and go straight to French Revolution first. Later on, by around 12 noon, the queue waiting time for the popular rides like Atlantis and French Revolution can go over 60 minutes. So make sure you do these fun rides first. There is also a fun parade at around 2pm in the indoor section - make sure to check information about the start timing and location early when you enter so that you don’t miss it. It is great fun to watch for children.

It's really enjoyable place with lots of different rides and food stalls. You'll enjoy for sure unless its not crowded with a big queue for every ride which was the case for me.

A magical yet mysterious theme park! It is the world’s largest indoor theme park and it is well-connected to shopping malls, cinemas, restaurants, a luxury hotel, and an aquarium. It consists of a huge multilevel indoor theme park with an ice rink and an outdoor amusement park known as ‘Magic Island’. The indoor theme park has a good selection of rides ranging from gentle to thrilling whereas Magic Island consists of mainly roller coasters and thrilling rides. Apart from attractions, there are frequent parades and performances which take place in the indoor theme park with the appearance of adorable Lotte World characters. Lotte World theme park is an ideal place for a family day out and would recommend spending at least two days to fully enjoy most of the rides on both parks. I would personally recommend the Hot Air Balloon attraction that travels along with the ceiling located in the indoor theme park. The balloon ride allows visitors to have a great top view of the entire indoor theme park!

Hot to die! Waiting lines are long! But we arrived on their day off (Sunday) so everyone was there. We still really enjoyed the place and we were a bit upset that we had to pay more money for some attractions inside.

It was a very unique experience. The queue times were a bit long for some of the more popular rides, ~ 30-50 minutes. The food prices were reasonable, but some of the directions were a bit confusing, in my opinion. Definitely recommend going with friends or family

Wonderful and lovely Adventure Park. One day pass for sure won't be enough to cover all in one day but with magic pass you can cover most of it with special access. Had a lovely time with my family and my 5 year old kid enjoyed to the core. Lot of photoshoot places too ensure cameras are ready. Found vegetarian food options very less. Long waiting times on weekend but would presume only little difference if on weekdays.

The park is definitely a must-see to all who visit Seoul Korea. It's the best theme park in the area! All the rides were amazing, though the lines can get quite extreme during the day, even on weekdays. The place is beautiful as it is and highly recommend for young and old 😊 I'd say it's worth visiting we enjoyed our short visit and would like come again one day hopefully. Definitely buy tickets ahead of time and get your "reservation" tickets for the rides. We saw a long lines of queing, waiting as we walked by and handed our reservation ticket. This was definitely a cool place to take my kids. It was an indoor outdoor amusement park which is super clutch in the winter. There was something to do for all my kids of different ages. Definitely a must go if you’re in Korea with kids. Very entertaining

Good economic park to visit with family. It has an indoor and outdoor park that makes it a great place to visit year round regardless of the weather. I would recommend buying the tickets through Trazy or Klook to save money.

The theme park is pretty big with lots of rides and fully indoor, so you don't have to worry about the rain. Young children, in particular, would love it here as it's really catered for them. One regret I had was that I visited on a public holiday, so together with tourists, local Koreans and their families thronged this place. Wished that I had bought the Magic Pass to skip the queues as some rides, you will need to wait up to 2 hours long!

Very nice place, especially for families with kids. Multiple rollercoasters (I recommend "French Revolution"), 4D experience, games, arcades, some live theater/music... Really a lot. We had normal pass and in the morning the queues were long, but acceptable. In the afternoon, rollercoasters queues became terribly long... I wish we had "magic pass"...

The shopping mall and theme park is a great day trip to do, it's huge! First part of the theme park is inside the mall with an ice rink and an outside park that is connected. Don't underestimate it and plan a day for it. I recommend to purchase the fast track ticket, but overall it is very nicely organized!

Great amusement park with indoor and outdoor aspects. Seems to cater to a younger age group compared to Universal Studios but still worthwhile to visit. Beware that some rides have an additional charge on top of the entrance fee.

Fun place for children and teenager, or first-time tourist. Nice place to take pictures. And good shops to get some snacks. But for adults late 20s and above, you run out of things to do really fast. 😅 There was a place to rent a wheelchair (for free) for my mother, which I really appreciated.

Great adventure place to play whole day but unfortunately there is no re-entry once you go out. But there are plenty of food options in the theme park would have love it more if they allow re-entry so that foreign visitors can do their shopping as well as play. The Happy Christmas parade was amazing for both 2pm and 8pm show

This place has a lot of hidden attractions. We were a bit skeptical when we first got here and it might be boring if you didnt explore enough but once you find those hidden rides, the whole experience changes. Definitely get the magic pass if you’re a visitor. We got the 9-ride pass and saved a lot of time. Visited in July 2023

I give Lotte World five stars as I look at it if I had slightly younger children. It would definitely be five stars for kids under 11 or 10 years old. For teenage kids it's a little less even though there's great rides. The problem is on weekends the wait times for the more adult rides are very long. I've heard and have been told that it's best to visit on weekdays if you can for shorter lines. Overall, The price is very reasonable and there's a lot to do there.

Clever amusement park that combines outdoor, indoor, subterranean, and above ground! It’s quite a mix. It has a few legitimate rides. It was BUSY and it was a weekday, but then I’m just visiting. The 7 ride magic pass was well worth it! Two rides alone it supposedly saved us 80 minutes each.

my kids have a lot of fun here. but one day seems not enough to try them all. if you arrive here, quickly book the baloon ride, than you can go around play the other rides. before closing usually there will be a parade show. there are some rides that need additional fee but not expensive. there is also a museum of korean history. the queue for each rides usually quite long but we are lucky that near the closing time, the crowd become lesser and we can easily ride most of the attractions.

Definitely was a good visit. Lines weren't too bad, kids got to ride everything they wanted and we got to eat some good snacks foods!! We didn't experience any problems this trip at Lotte World. Beat part was the kids got to go ice skating 🥶🤗😂 and they had a blast!!

The place is inside Lotte Mall.. There are several entrances,so you can enter from any door.. The place is big and spacious.. There are many variations of rides to enjoy.. If you bring kids,it's better to check the map for which rides are suitable for them.. The map is comprehensive and detailed.. There are indoor and outdoor attractions.. There are also several restaurants or cafes and a gift shop.. I went during a public holiday,so it was crowded with long queues for almost every ride.. Overall,it was great 👍

Great place to shop for anything and everything. Be ready to negotiate. Never agree to the price the seller tells you, haggle! You’ll get it for half price or less. We enjoyed buying bunch of things here and having fun with the locals. Absolute must visit when in Seoul

A labyrinth of stalls selling clothing, hats, scarves, accessories, snacks, food, etc. It was quite crowded. The streets and alleys go in all directions which makes it difficult to walk the entire market. The sit down food stalls are hidden so we had to ask the very friendly information booth attendees for directions.

Its one of the biggest markets of Seoul. You can buy so many things here specially for babies toddlers and kid's clothes shoes and accessories, even small toys are also there to grab. They are selling with reason able prices... I recommend to visit it on a non rainy day.. cause if its raining the stalls in the middle of the street get close and those all are selling things for the cheapest rates... Girl's accessories are with the lowest prices(as far as i know in Korea) with good quality( made by korea) 🇰🇷available. One of the oldest shopping markets in South Korea. We visited this place in November. It is one of best place to walk, shop and eat on the brick streets. There are number of vendors selling different kinds of souvenirs, clothes, toys, fidgets and food. We went there on Sunday and it was not that crowded. Once of the drawback that we noticed that there were no trash cans around the public area, we had to look for one to throw away trash. We noticed this at several different places. Besides that Seoul is also a must see city of South Korea.

Shopping: It has been said that this market is where you can buy anything and everything but it was not the case for me, unless you are into tourist trinkets and imitation clothing. We felt that the things were expensive in general and a better deal can be obtained online. Food: Probably the saving grace in this attraction as the street food stalls were not bad especially the fish cake stands.

Decent food. The vegetable hotteok is a must-try. Sotteok sotteok, sweet potato egg tart, orange juice and sikhye were okay but you're not missing out if you don't try it. Narrow alleys, lots of people. Huge area so it might be hard to find the stalls you want to visit.

The market feels a little dated, but that may be its charm. Huge number of stores lined up alongside roads and alleys. Food options were limited when we visited on Sunday afternoon. Fashion was a little previous generation. Kalguksu and bibimbap were good.

No trash cans. Food vendors are nice, they also have tourist guides to answer any questions. You can find anything you are looking for to buy as a gift it’s all sh*t we don’t need thou. The food thou is great and you can try so many different snacks here, carry small bills - in case you have trouble ordering just give the right amount and point. Other than the food - not really a place I would recommend to visit. I don’t get what people do with their trash, I’m so curious. If you are here try out momocoffee!

It may be the oldest and largest traditional market in South Korea... but it is not the kind of market that we enjoyed. Many of the malls were catered to the older crowd, as could be seen by the clientele and clothing on display. But if you're there to source for handmade jewellery at wholesale quantity and prices.. there is a section dedicated to that.

I went on Sunday and most stores were closed but still MANY were open. Such a wonderful place to find all sorts of fun items. Had some wonderful sugar cakes and coffee and bout some fun stuff. Even some Korea souvenirs.

Colorful, well organised market with friendly people and all you can imagine. This is not a place where they mainly sell stuff to tourist, but instead they sell actual things for your home, for hiking and for wearing. We love walking though the many narrow hallways with tons of interesting shops. It is inside the buildings and in the narrow hallway the real magic happens ❤️

Personal recommendation have cash in hand and they will appreciate you more for that. If you’re hungry, look no further to get your belly full. They have plenty of food to choose from. For what I was told it goes on the days that end with the number 8 throughout the month every month. At least that’s what I understood from our translated communication. Definitely a most visit if you get to catch them there.

Namdaemun Market is the largest market in Seoul. It is full of shops and stalls selling all kinds of goods including clothes, shoes, hats, household items, utensils, souvenirs, ginseng wine, etc. There are many food and drinks stall too, offering delicious local dishes, traditional cakes and snacks. A few stalls are so popular that there always a queue of customers waiting. It is among the must-visit places in this city. It opens early in the morning and remains open till the evening.

Very interesting market. Very vibrant shopping district with all kinds of foods and merchandise. We saw more locals shopping here than visitors. Don’t miss the little alleys. You may be surprised what jewels you may find.

Absolutely amazing museum that's completely FREE! Beautiful architecture and the design of the building and the pond in front is stunning. The museum contains a comprehensive historical account of Korea and also contains some international influenced exhibits/galleries of the neighboring countries/areas. The impressive digital 360 degree projection exhibit is a highlight that transforms the room that you're in and takes you to another dimension.

Big. This is what comes to mind when I think of this museum. There is so much here that it would take days to see it all. The written descriptions are lacking, so it is better to take an audio guide if you wish to learn more. Small tip: The museum is free to enter. Only special exhibits cost extra. Don't wait in line at the ticket window near the entrance unless you plan on visiting the special exhibits.

One of the free museums in Korea, this huge museum is inside a serene park, and has an amazing amount of exhibits to look at. They range from Korean history all the way to the Paleolithic era to present day, to Mesopotamia and ancient Japanese and Chinese history. You could easily spend 2-4 hours in here reading and looking at everything, also free lockers!

Exceptional in every way; perfectly curated, comfortable, and accessible. The grounds are immaculate and well worth a walk around, even if it’s cold. Amazing that it’s free, it would be worth $$$. Important cultural history carefully protected and preserved for posterity; what could be more important? A must-visit.

The museum contains over 310,000 pieces in its collection with about 15,000 pieces on display at one time. It displays relics and artifacts throughout six permanent exhibition galleries such as Prehistory and Ancient History Gallery, Medieval and Early Modern History Gallery, Donation Gallery, Calligraphy and Painting Gallery, Asian Art Gallery, and Sculpture and Crafts Gallery. It is the sixth largest museum in the world in terms of floor space. In order to protect the artifacts inside the museum, the main building was built to withstand a magnitude 6.0 Richter Scale earthquake. The display cases are equipped with shock-absorbent platforms. There is also an imported natural lighting system which utilizes sunlight instead of artificial lights and a specially designed air-conditioning system. The museum is made from fire-resistant materials and has special exhibition halls, education facilities, a children's museum, huge outdoor exhibition areas, restaurants, cafes, and shops.

This is an absolutely massive world class museum. Everybody that's visiting Seoul should put time aside to come visit this place. Ichon subway station gets you inside from the station directly. Best part about this museum is that it's FREE, except the special seasonal exhibits. It's also indoors with nice AC, so an ideal place for families during Seoul's crazy hot summer days. At 8 pm they have a really nice free light show at the pagoda. Highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing structure right in the middle of the city. Free access to everyone and easily reachable by subway. Blown away by the sheer size of the surrounding area with large open spaces. If you are a resident this should be one of the quick getaways from the city life. The museum is mostly concentrated on the prehistoric aspects. Lot of educational aspects. Saw many school going children perhaps with teachers. There is also a children's museum but need to book it in advance from the websites. You should be able to book it as you reach there too. There is a coffee shop and convenience store just nearby. So food and coffee is not an issue. You can try to explore the war museum which is also nearby.

Just stunning! This was the first place we visited upon arriving in Korea, it was a great introduction to this amazing country! We were here for just 1.5 hrs and it simply was not enough, you could spend days wondering and exploring the various exhibits both inside and out. There is a food court area and cafes and modern facilities. If you want an introduction to the Korean sorry…this is the place.

We went pretty fast and spent 3 very good hours here. Traditional exhibits are all free. More art here than several art museums we have been too. Easily the best museum we have been to in Seoul. Highly r comments if you like history or art

Getting here is quite easy. Opposite the museum is the bus stop. No need to buy tickets to visit. In the museum you can hire a tour guide to introduce you. If you come from outside, you can take the elevator to get to the museum Many treasures are displayed from many countries, beautifully arranged and presented The lighting is reasonably arranged and not too bright, the space here is quite quiet Next to the museum there is a convenience store where you can rest and eat, and in front of the museum there is a very large lake where you can sit.

The National Museum of Korea is an impressive place where art and archeology meet history. Entry to all permanent exhibitions is free of charge. The museum itself is quite large and made of multiple buildings, you need to allow at least 4-5 hours to see most of it. You'll get to learn about the rich history of Korea all while enjoying the astonishing architecture and beautiful nature that surrounds the museum. They also have some robot guides that you can ask, which made the experience very fun.

Very well designed. I learned a lot. But I have to admit, what impressed me the most was how many locals show up with their kids and teach their kids the history and traditions of this region.

Very nice museum of Korean history. Lovely landscaping and scenic views to be had even before you enter. Inside, the museum itself is of a modernistic architecture and photographic in itself. The exhibitions and exhibits were very informative and I appreciated the English translations. So many amazing things to see. You can easily spend a few hours here wandering around the various floors and exploring the outside as well. They have a children's museum area as well, but we did not go to that area. You can easily get to the Museum by train. Love the Seoul train system, really easy once you've ridden it once or twice.

Entry to one exhibition hall is free of charge. The exhibition is 3 floors, we explored half a floor for 1 hour because we took our time sightseeing. We had so much fun visiting.

This place has one of the best museums in South Korea. You can learn about the history of Korea, Japan, and China there. They also have a special exhibition right now, showcasing artifacts from Europe and India. The best part is that you don't need to pay to see some of these valuable artifacts. If you're visiting Seoul, I really suggest checking out this museum. It's a great place to learn and enjoy the histories of different cultures.

Note that it's free to enter the museum. There is a mostly covered walkway from the subway until you are quite near the Museum. There is a nice lake with a Chinese type Pergola outside the museum. English audio guide is via an app. You can select the corresponding display with the explanation. There is actually sufficient English to help visitors understand the displays even without the audio guide. Ample toilets and water refill spots as well as cafes and even a food court.

Spent about 3 hours in this museum. The exterior itself was amazing and beautiful. Inside, you'll experience a very extensive museum. And it's free! Though there might be some special exhibits where you'll have to pay. There are plenty of rest areas inside the museum that feel like little study places. You can actually go here if you need some peace and quiet. There are also cafes / restaurants in the complex.

Great destionation if you're planning to know more about Korean History and it's free entrace! No reservation needed. Beautiful scenery around the museum entrance, it feels so peaceful. I think you can spend a whole day to carefully look into every display. Museum and displays informations are complete and some of them have english translation. I can see that they really took every detail into this museum! If I got another chance I would like to visit again!

Great atmosphere! Many shops and styles available for everyone with reasonable price and tax refund available in some stores. If you are value shoppers like myself, I recommend to do all your shopping here. As it's valuable for money.

A really colorful, walkable promenade filled with great cafes, restaurants, and shopping. It’s near the university, so lots of students around. Very vibrant vibe, especially at night. Lots of people around and things to do

We were there on a Sunday and it was super busy! The street is full of life with lots of arcades, shops, coffee shops and restaurants. You can see this is a student neighbourhood and very buzzing. The entire street is also quite clean and pretty in terms of decoration etc. It didn't feel trashy or else. We had lunch and coffee and snacks and dinner! A full day well spent. The only disappointment was that all the clothes shop didn't let you try the clothes so we didn't buy anything.

Love it here. Closer than itaewon. Always packed at night especially on weekends. Mostly geared towards the younger crowd. But that doesn't mean older folks can't have fun there. I always have a good time there. There are performances here on weekends. Lots of shops to browse at and restaurants and bars. You can stay out late and there will still be people walking around. Lot of the shops stay open way past midnight too.

Crazy and funny place, full of shops and cafes selling almost everything. When the sun goes down, it gets even more interesting with all the neon lights on, and the music everywhere. Totally worth a visit!

So many clothing and accessory shops for a reasonable price! There are also many cafés, food stalls, and restaurants there, alongside street performances. There are many trendy clothing stores there, mainly targeting a female audience. There are large brand stores, but mostly small to mid-sized boutiques. Most of the stores sell similar Korean-style clothes, but you can find some hidden gems within (especially in the side streets). We visited on a Saturday evening, and there were quite a lot of people. For the atmosphere, I would recommend visiting on the weekend. For a better shopping experience, I would recommend coming on a weekday. A very nice (and wallet-breaking) shopping street if you enjoy shopping for clothes. You can reserve up to half a day for this destination.

A lovely walkway lined with stylish apparel, toy claw catchers shops and even a noraebang. Visitors will get to enjoy buskers performing their trade and plenty of bbq stalls nearby too.

I loved walking around the Hongdae shopping area at night while staying at a nearby hotel. When we visited in May, there were a number of free performances of young college aged students playing instruments and singing, lip syncing and dancing, etc. There are also countless little shops to explore and a number of great fried chicken and Korean barbecue restaurants in the area.

Bustling night market style street open to late with lots of fun little stores, boutiques, self photo studios, fortune tellers, cafes, bars, restaurants and people walking around around shopping. Bright lights and great vibe! A fun place to be.

Probably the hottest place is Seoul in terms of nightlife. Clubs, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, everything in one place. The streets are filled with young people from all over the world, students or tourists.

The street is very long with different vibes during the day and at night. You’ll need to spend a couple hours exploring the shops and alleyways as there are some nice hidden gems around the place. It’s great for affordable shopping and for food & beverage.

Great street filled with young people and lively street. Although I didn’t really like the repurposed street whereby they have accommodated vehicles. When I visited Hongdae in 2019, the street was purely for people and was much more livelier. The goods are also sold at a much higher rate than other areas like Dongdaemun or Gotomall, but the collections are much fashionable.

There are so many nice shops and cafes around here. I especially love all the costume jewelry and socks available - they make inexpensive gifts for yourself or for friends and family. There are also some nice skin care shops as well. I love Korean skin care products.

Arguably the most crowded shopping street in Seoul we have visited despite it having very spacious walkways - especially considering it was a weekend that we went on. There’s a plethora of dining and fashion options there, and it stretches all the way to Sangsu too. Definitely spoiled for choices for shopping and eating options whenever you are here 👍🏻

Fun and lively area of Seoul. A must visit during the night. Make sure to grab a beer and enter some stores as part of the walk. It’s easily accessible by public transport, and there are plenty of buses to return late at night. There’s a bunch of photo booths! And some clubs as well

A nice walking street to enjoy watching crowds of people shopping for nice food stalls and young fashion clothes. Be sure you arrive later in the afternoon because the sun and the heat are so strong.

This entire park is so nice to walk at, there are a lot of uphills so you would get a bit of exercise and really have a nice view of the city as well. Quiet and not a lot of people the day I visited.

Amazing place. The tower view is spectacular. Under the tower are various shops, a GS25, restaurants, cafes, etc. However, to me the true gem is the forest hiking trails throughout. Take some time and explore these trails and you'll find secluded outdoor gyms with free weights, challenging hikes, remnants of the Joseon Dynasty city wall. It's a tranquil place. I didn't like going to the tower on weekends as it was too crowded. The trails are where my heart lies.

Great views of the city from here and easy to get to with a hike or the bus.

This mountain is not just for tourists but also for locals and hikers to enjoy the mountain trailing and hiking. Yes, you can trek the tourist roads up to the top for cafes and touristy sections, or you can hike on the off beaten paths up to the top of the mountain, too. Maybe try both ways and get a true sense of being in Namsan. Highly recommend both ways 👌

The view is beautiful, especially at night. However getting on the mountain and later on the tower is pretty expensive.

Gorgeous at night! Besides its fantastic day and night views, it has a lot to offer, from its numerous dining options, adventure theme parks, game arcade, observatory with 360-degree panoramic view of Seoul, photo-taking hot spots, scenic hiking trails and more. ​Namsan Seoul Tower was first established as a broadcast tower to send out TV and radio signals in 1969. ​ The top of the tower is at 479.7m above sea level with Namsan Mountain at 243m and the tower’s own height at 236.7m, making it one of the tallest towers in the East. ​ The view of the tower is amazing beautiful in different season. On nightfall, N Seoul Tower lights up in different colour to show the air quality that can be viewed from afar by the public.

The park here is extremely beautiful. When we’re here back in 2019. The park has a lot of trails and they have many viewpoints that you can experience here. I hope to return one day and see it again. It was a nice mountain and we will never forget the experience.

Lovely walk up to the tower but not easy to find the route - we had to ask twice for directions ( despite G Maps) and checking for signs. There is a cable car to the tower and several buses but enjoy the forests on the mountains while walking. It must be spectacular in autumn colours

Walking up to tower was truly an experience. Cable car is available, but with walking you get to stop and enjoy the beautiful sunset and different angles of Seoul. This place is a must and definitely go when it’s near the sunset time.

Namsan Tower and Namsam (Nam Mountain). Went hiking up Namsan which is located within the Jung-Yu district of south central Seoul. Took about 40 minutes up with a couple of breaks to enjoy the view. Along the way there were a couple of cherry blossoms trees and tulips blossoming. There are many locals who hike or cycle here. Our highest hill in Singapore is Bukit Timah Hill at about 164m and located kinda out of the way. Namsan is centrally located with multiple entry points and plus their 4 seasons. I’m sure apart from winter, the locals would be enjoying the walk up and down in the evenings. Traveling allows me to see the difference my country has vs what other country has, the pros and the cons. I definitely appreciate the pros and while I accept the cons (because no choice), it really helps to widen one’s perspective.

This place is way too crowded. But there was a lot of food choices available, and all the stalls that sell the same things clustered in the same location, so it’s not too difficult to find a seat. The food are all pretty good. Especially loved the hotteok we got for dessert

Highly recommended coming here, there is multiple stools selling a variety of national dishes. We tried a few dishes from a multiple people and everything we eat was super delicious and fresh! There is a few tourist but when we went we did notice there were 80% Korean locals.

This is the first daily market in Seoul. Lot of group tour come for lunch time and makes it so crowed. you will find a myriad of food stalls selling some of the best food of Korea. but is not just a food place, you will find a variety of goods, including upholstery, imported goods, groceries, dried fish, traditional goods and more. It's easy to spend 2 to 3 hours to visit it.

Big and popular market in seoul but a bit hyped and overrated in my opinion. Many shops and food stores which are selling kinda the same goods and same food. Not huge variety of food as expected. Many dishes are deep fried or floured coat. Cash only for most of the stores except big restaurant.

This market is amazing and I highly recommend this place. There are lots of other similar Restaurants but broth here is amazingly tender and gentle and best for your health. I like the owner too. Go and enjoy tasting great Korean food !!!

Such a great place to try all kind of Korean street food. Tasty and fresh and you can see locals are still coming here to eat and have their soju. It can get really crowded, worth to come early evening.

Super fun experience in this market. The food options were boundless, the Ming bean cakes were my absolute favorite. There are a lot of food tours you can do through here, but i really recommend going on your own. Such a better experience being able to intertwine within the culture.

A market with lots of fabric and clothing from traditional Korean wear to shirts, pants, blankets, etc. Lots of food stalls and even the infamous Netflix noodle lady. Most of the stalls seem to have food options from the same vendors from rice cakes to blood sausages. There are lots of dessert and drink stalls, Korean raw beef stalls, and souvenir shops. Be prepared for tight alleyways, crowds, and heat bustling through the vendor shops.

The market was an amazing place to visit for local Korean food. The variety of food available was countless and amazing. Just the sight of the food and preparation was intriguing in itself. There were many shops for dried goods, clothing, toys and souvenir shops.

You shouldn’t miss Gwangjang Market especially if you’re into authentic Korean street food. We went here twice, morning and evening, and we had pleasure in both visits. Choosing what to eat was challenging since there are hundreds of options. Aside from food stalls, there are also those that sell souvenirs, cloth, garments, and more. We still lined up in stalls with long queues. We didn’t have to wait long since the line moves quickly. I noticed, though, that many of the treats are fried, but of course there are also food items that are healthier to eat in a generic sense.

Gwangjang market is known for having lots of Korean traditional food. The dumpling noodle soup is pretty good, but I don't like the agar noodles; it has jelly texture so it's not chewy like the typical noodle, so it's pretty weird. The next stall serves all kinds of organs, very well-seasoned but also very spicy. Mung bean pancake is also yummy. Cheese-pulled coin cake doesn't have as much cheese as the ones in Vietnam, but the flour tastes better. Apple cream cake is good too! Some websites say this market is a day market but it is still active and busy at night, around dinner time. Also they have heated chair for the winter here 🥶

Gwangjang Market is huge!! There is so much to see, buy and eat. Amazing foods and drinks and so much products to look at.

A lot of food here. A must visit if you like food. I went twice and couldn’t cover all foods everyone got to offer. We regretted for not going there earlier during our trip. Gwangjang market itself is very big and they have two sides, food and non food sides. The food are usually grouped together so you will see a bunch of shops selling one kind of dish and another bunch of shops sell another kind of food together. It makes navigating and looking for what you want easy. Everything is great to eat with makgeolli.

A small market walkable from our hotel. An experience for buying ROK souvenirs, local food, fresh seafood, local street food etc. Very crowded, frequented by locals & a few tourists like us. Still, it was under-covered, specially on a wet Saturday lunchtime, where a table for 6 is hard to secure in. A must experience for tourist.

Really great place to just immerse yourself in some Korean food culture, lots of different smells sounds tastes etc going on, go with an empty stomach! The was a dessert place here that made the best shaved ice I ever had! Was delicious with mango ☺️

A typical market where you can find almost anything I assume judging from the stalls and stores. A place to taste so many types of street food if you dont mind the crowd. Stalls are aplenty with 'dining area' being at the counter surrounding their stall and sit on benches. Food served fast and you are expected to eat and leave as many will be hovering around waiting for your seat

Gwanjang market was in my bucket list for quite a while and finally i went there a few days ago. It’s a place for street food lovers and for those who cares about the taste and prices of the food rather than fancy ambiance of the expensive restaurants. It’s a well crowded space and full of aroma of foods. It’s also a shopping place for groceries. So I will recommend every south korea traveler to visit this place 😊

Most food taste awful here. Overpriced tourist price tag. Crowded and difficult to move around. Extremely uncomfortable to shop or dine here. Quite popular for tourists to visit but I suggest going to other markets. Can definitely skip this one. Can browse around but don't waste time or money here.

Beautiful local market where you have a large variety of korean food which cooked just in front of you. There's also lots of small shops where you can buy groceries or souvenirs at affordable prices. If you go during lunch time, it can be much crowded and hectic to move around the market.

While I was on my holiday in Seoul, I decided to check out a traditional market that I had heard a lot of good things about. It was a chilly day, so I opted for some Korean hot soup and food. The food tasted good, but the portion size was expensive, and the quality could have been better. Although I had a good experience during my visit, I wouldn't go back.

Love the food options here! All at reasonable prices too. We really enjoyed the food at our stall which you can easily sit down at. It can get a bit crowded especially during dinner time but it’s all part of the wonderful experience. Highly recommended in Seoul!

For sit-down dining, it's important to note that each person typically orders a dish, or you can opt for takeaway. Cash is preferred, as only a few establishments accept cards.
