I recently visited the City Palace in Udaipur and was blown away by the beauty and history of this magnificent building. At more than 100 years old, the palace stood as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the area. The beautiful lake that sits beside it only added to the overall enchantment. The interior of the palace was just as amazing as the exterior, with intricate details and stunning architecture at every turn. I highly recommend a visit to the City Palace to anyone interested in history, art, and culture. Five stars for the magnificent beauty and rich history of this palace!

During my visit to City Place in 2023, I had a wonderful experience. The ticket price for non-NRI visitors above a certain age was 300. It was definitely worth the price considering the incredible attractions and activities available. You can easily spend four to five hours exploring everything this place has to offer. One of the highlights of City Place is its extensive range of museums. From art to history, there is something to cater to every interest. I was particularly impressed by the variety and depth of exhibits. Each museum provides a unique and enriching experience, allowing visitors to delve into different aspects of culture and knowledge. Moreover, City Place offers picturesque spots that are perfect for capturing memorable photos. Whether you're a photography enthusiast or simply want to document your visit, you'll find countless opportunities to snap stunning pictures. The architecture, landscapes, and overall ambiance create a visually captivating setting that you'll absolutely love. What sets City Place apart is its ability to cater to diverse interests and age groups. Whether you're a history buff, an art lover, or simply seeking a place to spend quality time with friends and family, you'll find plenty to do and enjoy here. In conclusion, my visit to City Place left me impressed and satisfied. The ticket price was reasonable considering the enriching experiences available. I highly recommend visiting this place if you're looking for a memorable day out filled with exploration, photo opportunities, and cultural immersion.

The city palace is the most widely known and markedly the most beautiful and royal landmark of Udaipur. Still in use by the present ruler as his residency. The general entry ticket for the area is Rs 30. To enter the palace is it was Rs 300. There are light and sound shows at additional cost. Not recommended at all. You can spend extra to visit the museum section, if you like historic artifacts. It was definitely worth the price considering the incredible historic collection. The architecture, landscapes, and overall ambiance makes the place extremely photogenic.

Absolute Architectural marvel. We took buggy ride from ticket counter to palace entrance. Palace entrance was Rs.500 pp and buggy ride is Rs 50 one way. Collections are nicely stored and restored and can be photographed. It's kind of a interesting maze. We had taken a guide to speed up the visit. Guide charged us Rs500. But if you wish to take your own time you can do so. There is one restaurant inside the palace. We had a hot day but blue skies and background was clear and absolutely photo friendly.

The Palace is very huge and beautifully carved out. Do visit with a guide. It takes minimum 2-3 hours if you want to completely visit the palace. You wont be able to fully admire the beauty of palace in less than 2 hours. The palace itself is a beauty. The museums are very good. Loved the entire experience.

The Palace is very beautiful and gorgeous in most aspects. This was my first visit to Udaipur and visiting the City Palace grounds was one of my favorite moments spent here. The history this place speaks, the walls and the very ground, the pillars which has stood the test of time for centuries truly gives you some perspective towards time and life. You can spent some time and energy exploring what's within these walls and narrow passages and corridors or spend time sitting and relaxing in the garden when the sun goes down. Worth the visit, of course. Do not miss out on the surrounding places.

A majestic palace, but was way too crowded especially in these pandemic times. 5 stars for the palace, deducting 1 star for lack in properly handling the crowd and enforcing covid prevention norms. The views of the city and lake from the palace are great. The palace is maintained really well and it would have been a treat to just sit and take this place in but we had to move along in queues as there were way too many people. Go here in off-season in evening and just take the mesmerizing views in.

One of the best museums to visit. Though it is a palace, but it takes more than 2 hrs for complete tour...sunset sight through palace's top floor is amazing. Tip make sure you enter palace after lunch..so you can do boating ,during sunset.

Awesome museum replete with history and artifacts. Nice collection of weapons through 17th century to 20 century. Only downside is narrow winding lanes as suggested by google for self driven car for approach and exit. Places to eat available at reasonable prices. Approx spend Rs 150 + Rs 350 per head for complex and museum entries and Rs 350 for car parking.

Amazing day spent here. So rich in history and great architect. Please take a tour guide here for the rich cultural and history. It will take around 3-4 hours for the entire tour. Start your day as early as possible. Preferably 9:30 am so that you will get less crowd to take good pictures.

One of the most impressive palaces that I’ve visited in India. The photos say it all!! Very well organized and preserved. Fully touristic, so avoid Indian holiday or weekends. The best thing is that the entrance is the same for whether for Indian or Tourists!!! 👍🇮🇳🕉💕

A grandeur architectural marvel providing glimpse into the erstwhile royalty of this region. Ticket cost - Rs, 330 which gives you access to entire palace complex including is interiors and the museum. Palace is well managed, clean, efficient staff, helpful signages and needs a good 2-3 hours for soaking in the entirety of this majestic Marvel with mesmerizing interiors full of colours. Guide services are available and they usually ask 500-600 per group/family for explaining the history of royalty associated with this palace. There's a cafe with few options run by HRH group of hotels. Drinking water and toilet facilities are also available. Best time to enjoy this place would be on a weekday in off peak season.

City palace is one of the most prime tourist spots to visit. It has a lot to offer about the cultural heritage and history of Rajasthan. It is a wide-spreader property which will take around 2 hours to cover, but its worth the time. -> I would recommend you to book a guide (negotiate if possible - there are lot of tour guides available around) because the guides have lots of stories and information related to the history of the palace and the events that took place around to share with you. -> Avoid visiting during mid-noon as it becomes really hot to explore the place. So, prefer to visit during early day time or during the evening.

This palace is as beautiful as it is huge. Inside, one finds a big collection of rajputana artifacts, weaponry and cultural items of the time inside the museum. The way to the palace is quite congested so one should be prepared to be stuck in traffic for a while but upon entering, the beauty of the palace makes one forget all issues and appreciate the architecture.

History surrounds you as you walk along the lake as the castle looms over you. Beautifully maintained as a hundreds of years old Palace can be. I can only imagine being that high up looking from the Palace over the surrounding countryside. I definitely suggest a visit or stay at the hotel located in the Palace. Highly recommended.

Another man made marvel. It's huge, beautiful and well maintained. It shows the vast history of Rajasthan. There is a museum, lake, boating and food complex around the City Palace. Ticket prices for museum around 450 per person for adults. There are special concessions for students and elders. Boat ride tickets are around 800 per person. Make sure you have at least 2-3 hours if you want to visit museum as its very informative and big and it will take time to cover everything.

City Palace is one of the beautiful places to visit when you are in Udaipur. To visit this place, you have to buy tickets. There are two types of tickets, one for visiting outer peripheral areas where you can visit the outer places only and can't actually see what is inside the palace, if you have less like 3-4 hours then you should opt for outer peripheral areas and The second type of ticket includes visiting the whole palace from inside out, but to visit the whole palace you should plan your whole day there, because there are so many picturesque corners, where you will not be tired to take your pictures and will know much about its historical perspective.

Simply amazing. Wonderful place. Very well maintained by the Trust. Battery operated Car is there to climb up to the palace entrance. You have got Boating in the lake, about one hour.....they take you to another small Island, there you can spend some time, take pics and return back to mainland by some other boat. Altogether different experience, thoroughly enjoyed. Well maintained washrooms are also there.

One of the things that you can do in Udapiur. I recommend to take buy tickets for a boat ride in advance and spend nice 2 hours on the lake and at the island in the middle of the lake. The ride is nice and this is one of the biggest attractions of the city.

All I feel is good vibes here from the atmosphere, temples, Ghats, people, places lakes, and cafés it has its own vibe people know that Udaipur lovely gems lake Pichola. It was glad to be back.

Lake pichola is one of the must-visit destinations for tourists, as it really justifies Udiapur as the lake city. This lake offers beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and the Taj Lake Palace, which is present at the centre of the lake, gives even more scenic views. Boating at these places is really recommended in the evening, as you can enjoy the sunset while boating. The cost of boating is around 200-450 rupees per person, depending on the boat you choose. I would recommend visiting this place during the weekdays as it is very crowded on the weekends.

Amazing views and memorable experience. The boat ride and ropeway ride are just good to enjoy. There are many activities on top after reaching the top with ropeway. Like aquarium visit, virtual games, restaurants, massage therapy, fish foot spa, fire pan, chat cone etc. There is also a photo service with Traditional costume. There is Karnimata temple and a Dargah up there. The view from the cable car cabin is quite nice. Ride is for 4 to 5 minutes. As only 3 cabins move up and down there may be a waiting time for 30 minutes on rush days. Boat ride takes you to Jagmandir. We felt these were a must feel experience when in Udaipur. We visited the place just a day before a bollywood actresses wedding but there was no problem at all.

Great place to visit.... Boating Ticket is costly... 360 and 180 per person depending which boat you are choosing and they will give you max 20 min of experience. Water got black but not stinky thankfully. The boating experience is awesome... Must visit place I will say.

Took a boat ride to Jagmandir Island. Her boat took us all around the island before settling us on the Island. Cost Rs 400 per person. It’s a nice cool ride.

The most beautiful lake I have ever seen! I happen to go there during sunset and it was just magical I would suggest to take a smaller boat because bigger boats have lot of people and you don’t end up seeing much (experienced this at another lake) Don’t miss this when visiting Udaipur This should be on everyone’s must visit list

One of the famous places to visit in Udaipur, Bagore Ki Haveli is a haveli that stands magnificently on the waterfront of Pichola lake. It’s spectacular ! Just visit once here and indulge yourself into Core Rajasthan! So much too see and know about the culture through displayed collection, especially collection of royal sage and Insignia is really fascinating. The place was really clean and hygiene was maintained. Nominal entry fee was charged for this museum also the person at desk was very generous and gave a lot of information about the place. The dance form are very beautiful ! Enjoy the 5 dance style from entire Rajasthan !! Visit there at 5 pm and book your ticket for daily shows the ticket costs you 100 Rs per person !! Show time is 7-8 and 8-9.

Went to watch and experience the great katputli dance. The entire show was fantastic. Experienced for the first time as a tourist. Children enjoyed the show as well. Well organised and very talented artists. Tickets for the show can only be booked ( as per the communication in the of Oct 2023) starting from 5:30 PM, no advance or web booking. If you reach 1 hour before then also you will get the tickets unless it’s a busy weekend or a school tour.

Heritage site. There are cultural programs held every day at 7p.m. for an hour. You need to buy tickets to watch the program. Must watch. Plan to be there and understand the rich treasure of our folk dance and lyrics. The program is a nice blend of various folk songs and dances of Rajasthan. There's a short introduction given in Hindi and English for each folk dance. Enjoy the dance in the beautiful backdrop of the haveli. Don't skip this place.

At first Don’t miss the Cultural Programme by DHAROHAR hosted by Mr & Mrs Dixit and Hosted by Yashu Dixit at 7-8PM daily. It’s totally worth watching and ticket price is just ₹100. I also read the reviews about this show and went to watch this show and believe me it was totally amazing and more than Paisa Wasool show. This Haveli is almost same like other old architecture in Rajasthan obviously with different different history. And same old things. Just as it is maintained by government so not that well maintained but okay. Things were same as you have seen in other museums.

Came to see their traditional dance show, the courtyard of the museum was nicely decorated. It is better to come earlier as the place gets crowded very quickly. The performance itself was ok although they could've done a better show (it looked more like a volunteer school performance rather than a professional dance show). The tickets were pretty inexpensive (when bought directly at the museum) so overall, quite a good value for money.

What an amazing experience I have got from here. Their show starts from 7:00 PM in the evening. The tickets are available from 5:30 PM. I would say, you should definitely include this place in your itinerary for visit to Udaipur. It includes different kinds of traditional and cultural dance shows of rajasthan along with puppet shows. Watch out for the last dance, its somewhat of a surprise.

This is place is so good and specially if you want to know about Rajasthan's folk music and dance. It was the highlight of our udaipur trip and one of the best things I had ever seen. The kaal beliya dance that I had seen was so magical. The girl dancing on it was so elegant, graceful and so beautiful that she won all of our hearts. Her moves, eyes, smile everything was perfect and she really is a baap girl. And I forgot to shoot her video because I was so much fascinated by her performance. Anyone going to visit udaipur should really see the night show at bagore ki haveli.

Evening dance show is the prime attraction here. Since it gives you a real feel of Rajasthan & it’s diverse culture & tradition, I suggest not to miss it. However, there are a lot of loopholes as well, let’s discuss here below: 1. Only offline way to collect tickets, which will be distributed from the counter sharp 5:30pm. However, you have be in the queue almost 30 mins before to ensure you are able to make it else you will get next show tickets. 2. Since the show begins at 7, you have to be in the another queue that lets you enter in at 6:30pm. Hence, manage your timings well and keep something to eat especially if with kids. 3. I noticed, a family bought tickets with us for next show that starts at 8 pm but they were allowed to sit in an early show of 7pm. Corruption in India is so common. 4. You should reach early to get the proper seats, else you will end up watching just glimpses of the entire show as the seating is spread all over the terrace however, there are pillars, trees to block your view. +ves: 1. Well trained dancers & musicians. Totally worth watching 2. Ticket price of 100/- is a nominal charge for the show displayed 3. Show starts sharp as per mentioned timings and there are no delays. I recommend.

If you want to see the haveli and the museum only there will not be that long waiting time but if you want to see the cultural presentation show then you need to wait for an hour to get the ticket. Two shows they do in a day. But from 5pm you have to stand in queue to book the tickets. They present three to four kinds of dances from different districts of Rajasthan that includes the national heritage one, "Kalbeliyaa dance". Overall it's a good representation.

The view of the lake is nice from here. The museum contains old ancestors dresses, instruments, accessories There is one room which contains various paintings. I'll recommend if you have extra time then visit it.

Nice place to visit near Gangour Ghat, though, in this area, 4 wheelers are not allowed, hence to visit it, only auto/2 wheeler is option. Inside it, there are different things displayed, and also a mansion type balcony, where you can view the lake.

You must visit this place if you're in Udaipur. The evening program showcasing the various performance arts of the state is absolutely mesmerizing. Each artist performing here is incredible and creates a magical atmosphere. When you're in the area, take in the serenity of Ghangour Ghat and stay on to watch the fantastic evening show here.

Additionally, a visit to the local market at Gangour Ghat is recommended, although haggling might be necessary. Overall, addressing these concerns before the next visit would significantly enhance the overall experience for patrons.

This is a place near Gangaur ghat, where folk dance and music is arranged daily in the evening. It is an old Haveli converted into the cultural center. The folk music and dances performed are very good and give you a glimpse of traditions. The tickets are limited, so you have to buy it at around 5.30 pm for 7.00 pm timing. But, after buying tickets, you can spend your time at nearby Gangaur ghat, which is also a beautiful place.

Bagore ki Haveli is a museum located beside Lake Pichola. Here you can watch cultural show which happens at 7.00 and 8.00 PM . Try to collect the ticket around 6. Must watch if you want to see Rajasthan's cultural dance.

There are multiple dance performances and puppet performances , all of them are great.

This haveli event is a must visit to see the cultural dance and music show they have in the evenings. They have parking available, however, on the peak days it might be full. They show many cultural types of dance and the videos are attached. They have food items available outside so you can enjoy that. You have to wait for 8-9 show if the show for 7-8 is booked. For the show, come 15-20 minutes before the start time to be early in the line and have better seat to enjoy the show. They have enough seating available for you to enjoy. Visit this place and enjoy the culture.

One will take a minimum of 45 minutes to explore this Haveli. The remains are preserved well. One should not miss the dance and puppet show which is organized in the Haveli at a minimal cost from 7 pm to 8 pm and 8 pm to 9 pm which are given at 5.30 pm. The entry cost for the Haveli and the dance & puppet show is separate.

Traditional folk dance is something else to enjoy. They will show u 8 dance of which 3 are puppet dance. Museum tik are 55 INR for Indians and dance show tik are 100 INR

Located on top of the hill giving a top class view of the Udaipur City. Nothing horror or spooky, disappointing for someone looking for that kind of adventure. Rain water harvesting tank is installed, the water is then passed within the wall to keep the palace cool. Nice Engineering! Entry ticket is around 100 per person but you also got to pay for the vehicle you are travelling in. Road from the gate to palace is curvaceous and not well maintained though scenic. Drive carefully, rented vehicles may grunt uphill. Palace itself is neat and clean. Drinking water only available at one place near the palace gate, more of them are required. Not differently able friendly.

Best place to visit during monsoon, it’s little hot during normal days, but the roads and the valleys are awesome. You’ll definitely enjoy the road trip to the top and the best part is enjoying the winds and view from the top which is best during monsoon as you will feel you are above the clouds .

It is lovely place to visit specially during monsoon as the name suggest. It is located at heights. So you have to go there with your own vehicle. Atmosphere is very beautiful during monsoon and pleasant to watch udaipur from such heights.

This palace is highly commended if you haven't been there at least once. Go for enjoying sunset vibes at evening time. Reach there before 5 and or I could say 4.45. After that they stop giving entry tickets. We enjoyed a puppet show here. After that we played Garba here. Overall sunset scenes are really awesome. Don't miss this palace.

Beautiful place in udaipur to watch the sunset as well as to get the panoramic view of the white city and magnificent aravali ranges. The palace is around 3-4 km from the entry gate. Apart from entry tickets, there is an additional charge for carrying your private vehicle up to the palace. Taxi service is available from the gate on a payment basis. So it is a bit of an expensive attraction as compared to other prominent attractions of the city.

It's basically a scenic spot for viewing entire Udaipur from one single spot with superb Sunset view. Quite a few Langoors around so avoid carrying food in your hand or be a bit careful. There is a cafeteria as well but didn't try so can't say much about it. But as point was atop a hill, weather was pleasant in evening (even in March end summer). Entry fees is there with option of public transport to take you atop at additional charges. Entry is just next to zoo gate.

Palace is beautiful though not opulent, small eatery also there, not for a quick visit, stay for an hour or so and enjoy the sunset .. vehicle charges are more than the entry fee.. beware of monkeys, don’t feed them. Be sure to go upstairs, view is amazing, u can take pics without anyone in the background.. no smoking signs should be kept outdoors If there is time also visit the wildlife sanctuary next to the palace. If u know the history , u ll fully appreciate the place

I had a wonderful experience visiting the Monsoon Palace in Udaipur with my friends. The place offers breathtaking city views that left us in awe. The location is just fabulous there, one can easily enjoy the city view with majestic lakes, located just 20-30 mins motorcycle ride away from the city centre, it takes you to the top of a mountain (rather hill).Entry fee is 180 and parking charges accordingly. Practical suggestion: Apart from Majestic views the fort has nothing to offer, below average maintenance and can be difficult for elderly people to climb up here.

આ beautiful place and must visit location at Udaipur. It's quite far from city center but worth visiting it. Advisable to reach before 6:00 PM in summer to view sunset from the top of it. One can visit by own car or by cab. If you self drive it's nice experience to drive on curvy road with many hair pin curves. One has to be good driver to drive on this road. But driving itself will be an amazing experience. There is a very small museum and vast terrace to view surroundings and get a feeling of top of the world.

It is a nice spot for sunset. The fort is not much of a place to visit but the view is great and you are able to see the whole of udaipur from up there. Best time to visit the fort would be in the evening for sunset. There is a spot midway while going to the fort which has a better view of the sunset. The roads are pretty steep but well built and one can go to the top on any 2 wheeler or four wheeler. The place gets a bit crowded so plan accordingly

The palace is located on a hill. The ticket counter is at the start of the hill. You can trek up the hill / take a private vehicle/ use public transport from the entry. Best is to use 2 wheelers (you can rent for a day at rs.300) , as its ticket costs only rs. 60. The view from the palace is beautiful. You get to see aravalli hills. Most of the palace was closed and there was nothing much to see inside.

Amazing View and amazing ride there through the hilly paths. You can rent a bike or car whichever is your preference but the roads are well constructed but one should drive cautiously while climbing up and down 😁. The rental would cost around 500rs for bikes. It was more fun in the roads , up there greeted with great views and heritage. ❤️

Truly loved the palace, I visited the palace in early monsoon and fell in love with the place. The road to the palace and the view from the top is seriously amazing and worth going. There was a soft drizzle of rain when I visited and it made everything look more beautiful ❤️ I tried banana cake and mixed fruit cake from the restaurant there and found it very delicious. It is costly compared to the market but the quality and flavour of the cake was worth it.

It is a simple palace built by king to see rain cloud early. It is situated on the top of mountain. If you have lots of time then you can visit this place otherwise you can skip it.

The best time to visit is on a pleasant evening. The Palace is very meh, but the view from the hilltop is gorgeous. Fairly overpriced at ₹155 per adult. There's an extra cost for taking your vehicle and you can't go by foot in case you feel like trekking.

Such a beautiful Palace to visit in monsoon!!! Views are next to the feeling of heaven 😍 There at the top you genuinely feel like you are in clouds!! The way to sajjangarh is pretty more adventurous and beautiful 😍 The entry fees per head is 155/- + the vehicle charge ! And also only 2 persons are allowed on two wheeler 🙏🏻

Not worth the gross amount of money you spend to see the views. Rs 159 per head plus Rs 308 for your car. The only attraction is augmented reality projection with various animals projected along side your image on screen

The monsoons and winters must be amazing We visited by the end of March and so may be the greenery was just a haze. The view is amazing from any part of the palace. However it's just that and the palace has literally nothing else

Unfortunately, some drivers can be reckless, making the journey adventurous and potentially dangerous for travelers. Despite this, the palace is definitely worth visiting. The cool winds within the palace add to its charm.

Since its located on a small hill, and its surrounded by forest , the view from the top is mesmerizing. Actual palace is pretty small and does not have many stuff to see apart from the scenic view. It has a small Cafe in the premises. There is a zoo downhill near main entrance, though it's nothing special and can be skipped if you are in a hurry. From entrance its about few kilometers uphill journey to reach the castle , though there are public transportation options, I would suggest that you bring your own vehicle.

Nice place to spend time on weekends. Lots of greenery is there and the dense trees help to get rid from the burning sun. Ticket price is 20/- per person. Fountains were there but not all were in working condition. If they get repaired then it would be more fun to visit here and we enjoy beautiful views.

Water and snacks can be taken into the garden if you plan to spend a long time there. Wearing flat and comfortable shoes is a must, given that the streets of the garden are often wet and moist due to the fountains. Cameras are also allowed. Try to Visit this Place at evening or early morning.

This place is good enough to spend in...you will see just a garden which is quite beautiful and when you will move inside there you will see a main fountain in the middle of the water surrounded by the pool. I visited Saheliyon Ki Bari in Udaipur, and it was really nice. This garden is like a beautiful oasis with lots of greenery and flowers. There are fountains and ponds with lilies, which make it very peaceful. The highlight is the lotus pool, and you can even feed the fish there. An excellent park built centuries ago, this was for the exclusive use of Royal family women. With great foresight & compassion, the Mewad rules built this oasis for royal women & their friends to escape the arid weather of the region. Currently maintained by the government, this is a good place to visit during the late afternoon hours. This area is surrounded by eateries & souvenir shops, making it a wholesome outing. Don't miss it!

Awesome heritage place built years ago, still well maintained. Example of Indian engineering years ago, excellent example of fluid and acoustic and fountain engineering. Fountains are operated without electricity. Fountains Water dropped on floor created sounds like natural rainfall.

It's a very beautiful temple with great history. We visited in the morning and it was very peaceful inside the temple premises. The architecture of the temple is marvelous. The hawkers sitting on the stairs of the temple are very rude. Firstly they shouldn't sit there and if you tell them they start arguing. Definitely tourists would not like this kind of experience.!

Located near the city palace entrance. Beautiful architectural design of the temple. It's build in panchayatan style of architecture. Also has the paid car and bike parking facilities. But avoid taking the car, streets are narrow and full of traffic.

This large and beautiful 17th century Lord Vishnu temple is situated in the heart of the city. The temple is a piece of stunning architecture. Around 3 kms from railway station and bus stand. It's advisable to park your car at the parkings available near City Palace and go there on foot or hire an auto as the streets leading to it get congested during day time.

Beautiful temple and idol, it gives you immense peace and relaxation. A place you should visit if you are in Udaipur. It's around 800m from the City Palace. If you are with elderly, bear in mind that there are steep steps to the temple and even it would be difficult for them to reach the Jagdish temple by foot as path ascents near temple so grab the auto rickshaw.

A temple built in late 17th century dedicated to lord Vishnu! We were in awe looking at the sculptures done in marble and this place is right next to one of the entrances of city palace! I’d highly recommend to go either early morning or late evening for a good dharshan 🙏 Note for the elderly or disabled: This has a 30-40 steep steps to entire the temple. You can notice this from the road.

Wer were there on a very rainy day but still magnificent site. The The Eklingji Temple is recorded in the Ekalinga Mahatmya, in the 15th century. The original temple was built in 734 A.D. by ruler Bappa Rawal. The temple has been a victim of loot and plunders and its idols were physically damaged. According to some of my research it originally belonged to Pashupata sect, then Nath sect and post 16th century it is managed and controlled by Ramanandis.

More than a 1000 year old temple. Amazingly built. A must visit temple. The only thing I don't understand is why photography is not allowed. In the era of smart devices. People like to document everything. Every other religion allows. Only us are lagging behind. How will the young children of our religion know the ground realities of the holy places. Completely new experience to have candle light dinner at such a scenic place. Very beautiful architecture and cleanliness maintained. But expensive because the price they charge is not justifying for what they provide in buffet.

You can take the boat from city palace to reach this place. I also heard that they have local boat as well which are not so expensive. There is garden and some spots where you can enjoy and take beautiful pictures. There are some restaurants as well but expensive. 4 star because of the cost of reaching 500 rupees per person to this place. Of course amazing place and great view. Even boat ride is fun but 500 rupees just for the boat ride doesn't sound good.

Such a scenic view to this place. Situated right in the center of Lake Pichola, Jagmandir offers a compete panaromic view of the city across the river. Best time to visit this place would be the evening time around 5-6pm... The view of sunset is something truly amazing. The food as expected is very very expensive but the view it offers while you are dining is second to none.

One of the most beautiful places I've seen in Udaipur. To reach here, you will have to take a boat that costs you around Rs.500 per person for daytime ride & for evening boat ride Rs.800. You can buy tickets from city palace too. This place also has a cafe with a lake view. Great place for photography.

Wow this place is heaven on the earth!! Situated in middle of the lake. You can go there by taking boat which will cost 600 per person. Boat will take a round of lake and drop you there. You can visit the entire place and then take any boat to come back. View is amazing !!

To reach the Jagmandir palace one has to take the boat ride from city palace premises. I would recommend to visit this place during sunset so that you get saved from the scorching sun and see the beautiful sunset during boating. The only bummer was that most of the Jagmandir palace area was closed and could not be visited by tourists.

This is well known attraction spot for tourists and is also called "Lake garden Palace. Overall best place for hanging sometime with pleasant atmosphere but the ticket price(500rs) for boating is too high and will increase in evening upto 300rs extra i. e 800rs.

It's a hotel and a tourist attraction, literally on an island in the middle of a lake. While we visited the palatial island for strolling around, they also have fairly expensive options for staying. It's gorgeous, built in the 18th century (or the 19th) with majestic gardens, massive courtyard, and has history running through every marble. There is also a restaurant and a bar on this island. How to get there? There's a 20 mins ferry ride from the City Palace, Udaipur. It's generally a part of the tour, the ferry takes you around the lake, showing you the massive City Palace, Gangour Ghat, and the surroundings before eventually taking you to Jagmandir. A single ticket also covers your return journey. View It's literally surrounded by the lake on all four sides, so no matter which corner you pick, you will see the flaccid waves crashing against the island. It's grand, it was supposed to be a palace in the era of Rajputs. Stone elephants looking towards the City Palace with the water lapping around their bottoms make for a spectacular view. Amenities There's a spa, a restaurant, a majestic royal garden, a bar, spacious rooms, a marble courtyard, a room full of historic artifacts, and impeccable service. If you are in Udaipur, you will have an option between choosing to view the City Palace and/or Jagmandir. Either way, both are expensive, but Jagmandir is slightly cheaper than the other. All in all, it wasn't an exact waste of money, but still expensive.

Wanted to experience dinner in a lake restaurant. Taj Lake Palace only open to residents for security reasons. Jagmandir was an alternate to it. The experience was worth it as one got a lovely view of the lit up City Palace, Lake Palace hotel, and other lit up buildings. JagMandir itself was well lit up and pretty place to be at for a celebration

A lovely place to visit n relax. The boat ride to it is smooth. We had a coffee break at this place with some bites...the service is slow n has an old world charm of a relaxed lifestyle. The prices are steep though. Jagmandir is a wonderful place to visit. No matter, how harsh the sun is, the cool breeze from the surrounding lake will cool you down. If you visit the City Palace I recommend you to visit Jagmandir. The boat ride will cost you 600 for an adult and the kid's (up to) fare is half (year 2023). It's not out of the question to mention here that it's totally turned into a commercial business place. Half of this portion is converted into a restaurant and serves overly priced food items. Even to reach the lake, you need to buy separate tickets from the main palace courtyard. The view from the Island is very good. The garden is well maintained. And it's a plus point. The negative point of visiting the city palace is it's a costly affair. The entry tickets are outrageous. Everywhere they mushroomed restaurants, food items are very costly. And to explore each section of the palace you need to buy separate tickets.

This museum is located near the city Palace and houses many old cars in excellent condition. It is definitely a treat to see all these old cars still looking good and new. The collection of cars is quite good and you will definitely enjoy it. But the ticket cost is prohibitively high and doesn't seem to be worthy. So this is the reason why many people skip this museum. If the ticket cost is reduced then this place will get 5 stars.

The Collection was pretty good. Many old school car brand models were present at the museum. The ticket fare could have been lower as 400₹ per person is a bit on the higher side considering there is only 15 mins worth of things you can take a look at. But if you're a car enthusiasts like me you're going to love this space and the collection.

Its the museum of vintage cars used by the maharajas of Udaipur. The total collection has 20 cars and additionally has chariots and solar powered cycled or rickshaws etc. These cars are in running condition and used in the palace during festivals. Two cadillacs were used in escort when Queen Victoria visited India. And one Rolls Royce was used in James Bond’s moview Octopussy Entry ticket per person is 400 rupees so mind it as websites give wrong or old information. Vintage Car Museum, Udaipur, is a small vintage car museum managed by the royal family of Udaipur. They have around 20 cars, few other wagons etc., confined within a small area. We visited this place yesterday, the car collection was good they have around 20 cars but the entry fee was so high I felt Rs 400 per person.. also we can not see the cars from back we can see the car only from front which I felt it is not worth it in 400.

Its a great and very old temple the reason why you won't get pic inside the temple bczz it's simply not allowed to take one..

Many of the reviews for this mandir have unrelated photos attached. Many of the photos are of the wrong location or of other mandirs. This mandir is the charan chauki of shrinathji when bhagwan was shifted from Nathdwara to Udaipur by Maharana Rai Singhji for protection of the mandir. Thakorji stayed here for 10 months before shifting back to Nathdwara into the main mandir and then to ghasiyar. In this mandir there is all the facilities for shriji seva that you would find in Nathdwara. There is a gaushala, yamunaji kund, giriraj mandir, and acharya bethakji mandir, ghee and tel kuva, and sona chandi ghanti. There is also a mandir for dauji and a small Shivji mandir in the temple complex. This mandir has two main entrance points which is why google maps shows multiple location points for this mandir. Unlike Nathdwara you will be able to enter with your phone and bag and the security is even nice enough to let you take photos and videos of anything except the main darshan of shrinathji. However, the courtyard and all the other areas are able to be videoed.

The general entry ticket for the area is Rs 30. To enter the palace is it was Rs 300. There are light and sound shows at additional cost. Not recommended at all. Absolute Architectural marvel. We took buggy ride from ticket counter to palace entrance. Palace entrance was Rs.500 pp and buggy ride is Rs 50 one way. Collections are nicely stored and restored and can be photographed. It's kind of a interesting maze. We had taken a guide to speed up the visit. Guide charged us Rs500. But if you wish to take your own time you can do so. There is one restaurant inside the palace. We had a hot day but blue skies and background was clear and absolutely photo friendly.

The Palace is very huge and beautifully carved out. Do visit with a guide. It takes minimum 2-3 hours if you want to completely visit the palace. The Palace is very beautiful and gorgeous in most aspects. This was my first visit to Udaipur and visiting the City Palace grounds was one of my favorite moments spent here. The history this place speaks, the walls and the very ground, the pillars which has stood the test of time for centuries truly gives you some perspective towards time and life. You can spent some time and energy exploring what's within these walls and narrow passages and corridors or spend time sitting and relaxing in the garden when the sun goes down. Worth the visit, of course. Do not miss out on the surrounding places.

A majestic palace, but was way too crowded especially in these pandemic times. 5 stars for the palace, deducting 1 star for lack in properly handling the crowd and enforcing covid prevention norms. The views of the city and lake from the palace are great. The palace is maintained really well and it would have been a treat to just sit and take this place in but we had to move along in queues as there were way too many people. Go here in off-season in evening and just take the mesmerizing views in.

One of the best museums to visit. Though it is a palace, but it takes more than 2 hrs for complete tour...sunset sight through palace's top floor is amazing. Tip make sure you enter palace after lunch..so you can do boating ,during sunset.

Only downside is narrow winding lanes as suggested by google for self driven car for approach and exit. Places to eat available at reasonable prices. Amazing day spent here. So rich in history and great architect. Please take a tour guide here for the rich cultural and history. It will take around 3-4 hours for the entire tour. Start your day as early as possible. Preferably 9:30 am so that you will get less crowd to take good pictures.

Ticket cost - Rs, 330 which gives you access to entire palace complex including is interiors and the museum. Palace is well managed, clean, efficient staff, helpful signages and needs a good 2-3 hours for soaking in the entirety of this majestic Marvel with mesmerizing interiors full of colours. Guide services are available and they usually ask 500-600 per group/family for explaining the history of royalty associated with this palace. There's a cafe with few options run by HRH group of hotels. Drinking water and toilet facilities are also available. Best time to enjoy this place would be on a weekday in off peak season.

City palace is one of the most prime tourist spots to visit. It has a lot to offer about the cultural heritage and history of Rajasthan. It is a wide-spreader property which will take around 2 hours to cover, but its worth the time. -> I would recommend you to book a guide (negotiate if possible - there are lot of tour guides available around) because the guides have lots of stories and information related to the history of the palace and the events that took place around to share with you. -> Avoid visiting during mid-noon as it becomes really hot to explore the place. So, prefer to visit during early day time or during the evening.

This palace is as beautiful as it is huge. Inside, one finds a big collection of rajputana artifacts, weaponry and cultural items of the time inside the museum. The way to the palace is quite congested so one should be prepared to be stuck in traffic for a while but upon entering, the beauty of the palace makes one forget all issues and appreciate the architecture.

History surrounds you as you walk along the lake as the castle looms over you. Beautifully maintained as a hundreds of years old Palace can be. I can only imagine being that high up looking from the Palace over the surrounding countryside. I definitely suggest a visit or stay at the hotel located in the Palace. Highly recommended.

Ticket prices for museum around 450 per person for adults. There are special concessions for students and elders. Boat ride tickets are around 800 per person. Make sure you have at least 2-3 hours if you want to visit museum as its very informative and big and it will take time to cover everything.

City Palace is one of the beautiful places to visit when you are in Udaipur. To visit this place, you have to buy tickets. There are two types of tickets, one for visiting outer peripheral areas where you can visit the outer places only and can't actually see what is inside the palace, if you have less like 3-4 hours then you should opt for outer peripheral areas and The second type of ticket includes visiting the whole palace from inside out, but to visit the whole palace you should plan your whole day there, because there are so many picturesque corners, where you will not be tired to take your pictures and will know much about its historical perspective.

Simply amazing. Wonderful place. Very well maintained by the Trust. Battery operated Car is there to climb up to the palace entrance. You have got Boating in the lake, about one hour.....they take you to another small Island, there you can spend some time, take pics and return back to mainland by some other boat. Chetak smarak, also called Chetak Samadhi, is a memorial to Maharana Pratap's famed steed Chetak, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The horse died of battle wounds after helping the Rana effect a miraculous escape from the Battle of Haldighati. The memorial is said to have been built at the spot that Chetak died. Located on the top of Moti Margi or Pearl Hill, Maharana Pratap Memorial overlooks the stunning beauty of Lake Fateh Sagar. Also known as Pratap Smarak, Maharana Pratap Memorial is an essential site of great historical significance. Built-in the 18th century, the Memorial is one of the greatest tributes given to Maharana Pratap by Maharana Bhagwat Singh. One of the most thrilling features of the Memorial is a life-sized bronze statue of Maharana Pratap sitting on his faithful horse, Chetak. The figure is 11 feet high and weighs about 70 tonnes. The sculpture can be seen from kilometers away. The museum built on the premises of the Memorial has an enormous collection of paintings. These paintings depict the rich history of Kumbhalgarh and Chittorgarh along with the few instances from the battle of Haldighati. There are other statues of near and dear ones of Maharana Pratap in the memorial premises such as Bhilu Raja, Bhamashah, Jhalaman, and Hakim Khan Sur. One of the extraordinary things to do at the Memorial is to witness the astonishing light and sound show. The light and sound show varies in summers and winters. In the summer season, the show begins at 8:15 PM and in the winter season the show starts at 7:30 PM. The light and sound show is chargeable. The cost of a ticket is Rs. 35 per person.

I couldn't be more grateful to the hotel staffs especially Sandeep for giving an awesome experience. My 10 yr old was sick since last night and was not able to sleep due to continuous vomiting and fever. He understood our situation and gave us an option to checkout late from the hotel. Even the restaurant staffs were so helpful in getting the food packed for the baby as she was not able to eat anything for her breakfast. I am so obliged to this courtesy shown by the staffs. Apart from this, our stay was enjoyable and the lake view from our room was enchanting. We are taking back good memories from our stay and I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation. The best palace hotel in Udaipur. It's a part of city palace, one side lake front and easy access to markets, cafes and everything. Palace is beautifully designed as a lavish hotel brings back old memories. Nice paintings and vintage stuff on walls.

I am a traveller and love visiting different part of this beautiful country. I am also a big fan of Taj properties due to the unmatched service and hospitality. This time though my experience at Taj Fateh Prakash Palace was very very bad. It came as a shock to me that my favorite chain of hotel's hospitality was no where close to the desired mark leave aside reaching the Taj standard of hospitality. Right from the check in to check the experience was very poor. I will give 1 star against 10 star ,that was the level of service provided by the hotel staff. My faith in Taj Hospitality got a major shock this time. Probably next time I have to think twice before booking a Taj property. From the senior level staff to the golf cart driver everyone was at their nasty best. Just not expected from a brand which defines the hospitality. I hope the management will take my review in right spirit and will take necessary action . If a die hard fan like me starts moving away then it should ring alarm bell for the management. Post this review I got a call from Taj.. After listening to my side of the story the gentlemen said that he will call back in half an hour to update what has been done on my complain. It is almost a week that call never came... I am extremely disappointed with Taj with such a poor handling of the guest issue.

Really wonderful... would rate it to be the best amount all the Palace hotels of India. Not the grandeur, it may be the smallest but this Palace gives you a happy feeling when you sit at the window overlooking the lake.

This is a fabulous old structure maintained as a beautification lakeside hotel. The views were great from the room overlooking the lake. Breakfasts were the best, and we enjoyed several exceptional dinners at the onsite restaurant.

Didn't stay here, but paid 500 a head to look around the uninspiring crystal gallery within. Very little by way of info for all the crystal on show, and strictly no photos allowed. Someone was re-painting part of the walls while we were looking around. Crystal looked pretty, but they're absolutely having a laugh with their pricing here.
