Visited ajmer Sharif on my way to Puskar, we had to stay in a small hotel named Kalyan for the night; room was quite decent and budget friendly too. Inside dargah was too much congested as usual; we had to be careful in many ways. experience was good anyway...

Ajmer Dargah is visited by thousands of people who believe in different religions. It is believed that every wish made with pure heart and intention at Dargah gets fulfilled.

Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Dargah is the place where u can achieve inner peace. It is crowded throughout the year as people from all over the world come to visit the holy place. Once I entered there, I was not willing to go back. One can spend hours sitting inside and can feel the positive vibe. It is very well maintained, neat and tidy place. But you have to take care of your belongings in such a huge crowd.

Visiting this dargah is a part of spiritual upliftment that brings you peace and tranquility. However,I am completely disappointed with the so called khadims of this dargah who only care about money and that's it. They will give you only the slightest of recognition only if you give money, buy chaadar or flowers. Right from the start of the entrance till the mazaar is all about money. Before you enter, you have to pay for footwear, as soon you enter, people will heckle you to buy chaadar and what not, when you visit the shrine, the khaadims will command ( not request, not before, nothing)you to offer money as though without money your prayers will remain unanswered. Deeply disappointed with the state of affairs and administration of the dargah

My visit to Ajmer Sharif was a spiritually enriching experience. The aura of the shrine is undoubtedly divine, welcoming people of all religions. However, finding parking can be a challenge due to narrow lanes, and the market area can get quite crowded. The availability of private parking for a reasonable fee of Rs 100 was convenient. It's worth noting that while most priests seek donations, there's no obligation. The walk to the shrine adds to the pilgrimage feel. But considering the crowd be watchful of your belongings, kids etc. One need to cover the head and place slippers randomly at some place (no proper arrangement). Please go with a free mind and don't get bogged down by priests asking for donations.

Wow, such a beautiful place to visit. You can offer flowers to both the dargahs inside. There are price ranges from 50rupees to 500. People inside that dargah ask you for money and don't give much but 50 bucks is enough. Carry enough transitions it will be fine. I ate famously Maal Puri from Khasim Ali shop it's right there near the entrance. It was good. Half kg is 130 rupees

Khwaja Garib Nawaz At the time of the birth of Moinuddin Chishti, Sistan, East Persia, was facing plunders and bloodsheds. These intruders took advantage of Sultan Sanjar's weak administration. The people's lives and honour were always in threat. The Muslim nation's followers had been completely crushed by the ferocious Tartars. They outraged mankind in nearly every center of Muslim civilization and culture, which dates back 600 years. Because of such situations father of khwaja Moinuddin, khawaja Ghiyasuddin Hasan, One day decided to pack his belongings and left Sistan for a safer location. He moved to Neshapur, the capital city, with his family. There resided knowledgeable Ulama and respected Sufis who taught intellectuals from all over the world moral and spiritual enlightenment. There were physicians and painters with exceptional qualifications living there. There were lush gardens and canals, as well as fertile agricultural areas. Khawaja Ghiyasuddin Hasan is said to have purchased an orchard with a windmill in this area in order to settle down for a tranquil life heritage, the sack of Neshapur, coupled with the loss of his beloved parents, caused him to reflect deeply. Hazrat Khawaja Muinuddin Chishti was a descendant of the famous lineage of Hazrat Ali, the Holy Prophet Mohammed's son-in-law and cousin. His dad Syed Ghiyasuddin Hasan was a highly religious guy and a good man. According to historians, Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti showed early signs of his unique piety and willingness to sacrifice for others even as a youngster. When a lady with a baby came to meet his mother and the baby begged for food, the future newborn saint would make a sign to his mother to feed the weeping baby from her own breast. The sight of his mother doing this delighted Muinuddin much. He used to share his own meal with his playmates when he was 3 or 4 years old. Khawaja Muinuddin used to ruminate for hours on end about the heinous scenes of the Khorasan massacre, which he had been witnessing with great pain for several years since his youth. His interest in worldly life and pleasures was rapidly dwindling as a result of these tragic impressions. He was deeply concerned and yearned to be free of such a mad world if he could only see a way out.

Very less cities in India have functional decorated river fronts or lake fronts. This is one of them. You can't really approach water, but enjoy nice scenic view and walk on the lake front park. There're some kids play areas, snacks n tra stalls and clean walking pavements. For a nominal entry ticket, its good for locals to enjoy an evening with family. People coming from out to see Dargah can also visit here for an hour. Parking roadside is free.

There are few cons about this place - staircase is steep - place is not maintained even when they charge for the place - walls are dirty It's a nice place for a one time visit. So, if you're in Ajmer, you can visit this place once.

Also has a very old Jain temple in campus. It's a prime tourist spot in Ajmer. You can visit Nasiaji and then go to nareli which is also not far.

This is a historic landmark and has very beautiful architecture but the local authorities had nothing to do with the maintenance of this place. Ha it was very badly maintained. There is no entry ticket for this place. It is located just near to dargah of ajmer. Very crowded place and it could be improved.

My favorite spot in all Ajmer. The little part of the mosque that is still standing is really beautiful, with the inscriptions on the walls still very much visible. Each column is different, and the ceilings are eye catching. Also, the goats climbing the walls added a bit more to the total experience. And it is free. The mosque retained most of the original Indian features, especially on the ornate pillars.

The Place was great. According to local people this was built in two and half days by angels. The place have a different vibe. The only thing that is disturbing are the local photographers continuously poking you to get your picture clicked. There is no ticket to this monument.

It is said to have been built in 2 and a half days and the details of the engravings are pretty intricate and makes me wonder what it says cause it’s all written in Urdu I think but I’m not sure. Beyond the Dargah of Khwaja Muin-ud-din Chishti, on the town outskirts, are the extraordinary ruins of the Adhai-din-ka-Jhonpra mosque. According to legend, construction in 1153 took only 2½ days. Others say it was named after a festival lasting 2½ days. It was originally built as a Sanskrit college, but in 1198 Mohammed of Ghori seized Ajmer and converted the building into a mosque by adding a seven-arched wall covered with Islamic calligraphy in front of the pillared hall.

It was captured by Hindu rulers back in time .after the built . And now it's the site under a s.i . But its said by locals as , it was built by jinns . I don't know about this fact but , the architecture here is very unique. And mysterious.

This ancient Akbar's Fort has now been converted into Government Museum. There are several sections in the museum displaying different exhibits. The collection here is limited and the entry fee is also cheap. The architecture of the palace is simple. Good place to visit when in Ajmer.

To get fort background you can refer n number of material over internet. I Only recommend if you are really interested in art, sculpture, and history. Otherwise you may feel bored and from my personal point of view, I didn’t found most of things authentic and belongs to history. They give kind of artificial vibes. Best thing is place is well maintained by Government. To enter in fort you have to buy coupons which cost around 100 for Indian individual and around 20 for Indian student (must carry ID proof) You can hang around and relax for bit. Place is quiet. surprisingly quiet! even after being located near the hustling and bustling area of Ajmer, the fort/museum was very quiet and beautiful. it has been maintained well after the recent work done, although i'd have loved more stuff on the actual history of fort in the museum along with other historical collections.

Not too much attractive place. Ticket rates are little bit high. Some items of the museum are placed at different palace and there are different rates for that. You can spend here half hour is enough. Some statues are maintained in very good condition. Not too much rush here.

Well maintained palce by government...By locals they call it "Ajmer ka kila" in which Government made it a museum. Every thing is well maintained and preserved so well. Many things from Indus valley civilization, scriptures from 8th century were also there.

There is no fort in ajmer. Few rooms and walls are remaining. Rooms were used by dargah (gareeb nawaj) and local people. Basicaly people made the fort there home.

I visited Ajmer Museum; the ticket is 50 rupees per person. The place is peaceful, and you can take photographs there. There are a total of 8 rooms where you can learn about the currency of that time, clothing, art, and culture. Unfortunately, the upstairs is closed. There is a statue of Prithvi Raj Chauhan and Akbar that looks very realistic; someone standing behind you might seem real. You can visit with family or friends and explore Indian history.

Decent fort, well maintained and has a lot of ancient artifacts. Do give it a visit when you are at Ajmer. Getting to the fort is a slight challenge with your own car during evening hours as it is in the middle of the market. However, you can use the parking here to see most of the tourist spots close by along with a market visit. There was hardly any crowd when we visited. Should be promoted better

There's not much to see in the fort. Just a few people inside so it's almost empty all the time. There's a few intresting statues and painting to see in the meseum gallery.

Nareli is the Jain teerth chetra in Ajmer. One of the best place to visit also. Very huge place and even have temple on mountains. You can also see the beauty of architecture there. There is a Bhojnalaya (food court) where you can have authentic Jain food at moderate prices. Dharamshala (place where you can stay temporarily) is also there. If you are visiting Ajmer then you should take a look at Nareli. It will really make your journey more fun.

Jai jinendra , Nareli jain temple is so amazing place. We went there for 2 days on weekends and this place is so nice . On upper side there is some construction also going on . The committee is so cooperative and they provide good food with well accommodation. Peacefull environment I think you guys must visit this place. It's not a tirth but a mere tourist spot. The temple created with a statue and big garden, and all day public is visiting there showing no respect. IRONY - Even in maps you can find a 360 degree of inside the temple with a sign board captured saying no photography !!! Not strictly being maintained like a temple, and many idiots come and are misuse the place in case of no security staff. They should have some ticket on the garden visit and restricted entry to temple for maintaining sanity.

Nareli Jain temple is one of the best Jain Digambar temple. Temples is not complete till now still it is in under construction. There are some temples on hills also under the construction. Even the big main Murti is also under construction. But you can visit there rest temple are open. Dharamshala is also available here for stay for Jain community only. And food of Bhojanshala is very nice taste is awesome and price is very less affordable at 70 rupee per person only. Must visit this Atishay Jain Temple.

Ana Sagar Lake is an artificial lake situated in the city of Ajmer in Rajasthan state in India. It was built by Arnoraja (alias Ana), the grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan, in 1135 -1150 AD and is named after him. The catchments were built with the help of local populace. The lake is spread over 13 km (8.1 mi). The Baradari or pavilions were built by Shahjahan in 1637 and Daulat Bagh Gardens by Jehangir.

Beautiful property, you get to experience the tranquility of a foresr while availing all the facilities of a 5 star hotel. Swimming pool is quite small for the number of guests they are hosting… but the property has plenty of activities to keep adults as well as kids entertained.

This is a very beautiful place for family visit and also for morning and evening walk. I think there is need to be put some dustbin in each garden area to keep them clean. I enjoyed here very much in the evening time.

Beautiful temple on such height, there are steps to reach the temple or one can go via ropeway ( Rs 150 per person). Breathtaking view from the top of the mountain where the temple is situated. I would like it to be a little more cleaner. Visitors should beware of monkeys in the temple premises.

It was a fun cable car ride experience. We were waiting in line for about 30 minutes. There is a beautiful view at the top. Lots of langur monkeys. But there was a lot of garbage. We walked down and it was an unpleasant experience because there were heaps of garbage everywhere on the hill. It’s sad, especially this knows as a sacred place for Hindus.

Excellent place! It's a half an hour trail by walk. Do experience the calm nature, sight of surrounding and listen to your mind. None of the monkey (black faced) show any aggression! They literally sit on nearby trees and rock as monks.

You can walk from Brahma Mandir to a place where you can get an Auto/Camel ride to the Start point of Ropeway The auto/camel ride point is about 1-2Km from Brahma Mandir. It's better to see one of these because it's a bit too much for walking on sunny days. Auto costs ₹20 per person. The Ropeway cost ₹165 per person. Best time to go is right after 2PM or close to 2PM as Mandir re-opens at 2PM. We didn't get any queue but when we came back around 3PM there was a long queue for Rope Way only. The rope way system is good, not that costly either. It. It is a good option if you have time and energy to take the stairs. There are 3 Cabins at once, and it stops mid way for people to get onboard and get off on each end. For a better view, try to get on the end side of the Cabins/Cart. There are quite some Baboons around the temple be careful not to annoy them. They are harmless.

This temple of Mata Savitri is situated at the hill top around two km from Brahmaji temple. One can go to this temple by climbing stairs which are around 900 in number or one can go up by Ropeway. From top of the hill, one can see Pushkar and around areas and enjoy the place.

The Ropeway facility is great. The temple is fine. But there is no proper place for sitting to enjoy the great weather on heights. I would have also appreciate a tea shop or a small restaurant on top with nice views that would have been a cherry on the top.

If you like to try ropeway then this place is great.. There is quite waiting time to visit Savitri Mata temple by ropeway. If you like to climb by stairs then it's ok... Temple is nice and spend some time to enjoy the spiritual feelings and peaceful environment with high altitude...

The temple is very beautiful and spiritual. It's situated on the top of the hill. There are two ways you can reach. The first one is the stairs and the second one is Ropeway. So now let me tell you how people choose to go there...if they choose stairs so either they had asked the mata savitri to grant their wish and then they go by stairs or some of the tourists go for "Bundi" the holy one I was a foreigner couple they were doing it and they told someone about it I just over heard it and got to know about Bundi also. It almost takes you 2 hours to reach the temple. And If you are choosing Ropeway so it only costs 150 INR for one person for both sides it's a great option if You just want to visit the temple and add something new in your travelling experience and memories. It can become adventurous and spiritual at the very same time. When you'll reach the temple you'll see a bulk of monkeys they just stay there and sit and chill. Don't be aftraif when you see them but yeah make sure you take care of your belongings I can't say if they'll snatch one of your things and will run away!! Haha just kidding. They were really nice until you'll tease them. So visit the temple it's really beautiful and gives a breath taking view. It's almost 450kms up from the floor or ground whatever is convenient for one's understanding. But it's just an amazing temple. You can sit there make videos and take photos and have really great time with your family, friends, beloved and solo time also. There is a mini market also where you can have snacks and tea. A free parking lot also available. It's a must visit place if you are visiting Pushkar.

Temple is on top of the hills with amazing view of Pushkar city and they provide ropeway facility with 165rs both ways.. Note - Temple remains close from 12 noon to 2pm so plan accordingly.. The entry way and garden area are very well maintained.

Must Visit Place in Puskar. Ropeway facility is available here.Rs. 165 for to and fro. Stairs are also there but not everybody can use those smoothly. Railings are not there. You will find many leaf monkeys also there , specially on top near temple premises.

People go to witness sunrise and view of pushkar from top. Temple itself is very calm and has very religious value, climbing to top takes too much of efforts as it has only stairs to reach to the top. Ropeway also has started. Overall, great experience.

Temple is located atop a hill. Views of the Pushkar lake and surrounding areas from the temple are superb. There are two modes to reach the top of hill. First and preferred one is by Rope Way that costs Rs 165 both ways. Ropeway trolley will take you to the temple in about ten minutes but waiting time for purchase of tickets and trolley is from 30 to 40 minutes. If you are in good health, you may prefer to climb around 1000 steps to the top and enjoy some great views on the way. It will take around 30 minutes to reach the top by walking - less than the time taken by Rope way including waiting time. Temple closes from 1 pm to 2 pm. So when it reopens at 2 pm, there is a huge rush. Avoid 2 pm to 3 pm slot.

A very beautiful temple on the hill. One can see the whole pushkar from the temple courtyard. It is about 1 km from Brahma temple and can be reached through 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers. It can be reached either by rope way or stairs. There are lots of monkeys outside the temple, from which you need to be a little cautious. The ticket price for the rope way is 165 per person.

Hotel prithviraj is very amazing..its lobby area is like a fort..rooms is very neat and clean.. There has indoor parking..

All type of rooms are available. Very old hotel and also at good location bus stop is at 2-3 min away by walk and railway station is 10-12 min away by auto. Service is very good. Students who wants economic rooms must prefer it. But students rooms which are economic are only for stay not more than that . U can save ur money and safety also . The person on reciption is very polite and kind, very good person. Budget friendly rooms If u want to only stay.

Bad experience. Only one person is running the show. Power trips of and had to call multiple times to fix it. Toilet is not clean. Even for urgency this place can be avoided.

Hotel is good but the staff behaviour is worst. He is a single staff in entire hotel it seems and if you ask anything he was getting irritated and he is more of like a hostel warden like you shouldn't go out side hotel after 10 pm and we should not carry more luggage like our clothes and all to the rooms. No hospitality at all. It's like you pay money for the room and follow his rules n regulations that are totally irrelevant.

It's Location is awesome . Nearby Bus stand .Also from Railway station. You can reach Dragah Shareef easily from here. Staffs are well behaved . Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was avg. Overall good ,adorable budget hotel. But,one cons. is it's high rate of food items.

Somewhat shabby rooms, but with decent 2-3 Mbps free, stable WiFi and great location. Personable, helpful staff. Oh and the parking space is only enough for a grand total of three cars. Ordering food is not a good idea at all when better stuff can be had much more cheaply nearby.

Very dirty and dusty rooms. The toilet seat was very dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned for weeks. We had made an emergency booking but after looking at the bad condition of rooms, we asked for changing the room. We were told that there were no vacant rooms. Then, we decided to cancel our booking. When we informed the manager about cancellation then, he offered us to shift to a different room. It's everyone's guess how he managed to get vacant rooms in a matter of 10 minutes.

Awesome palace near bus depo and rooms also cheap compare to other hotels. rooms space is bigger than any other normal hotels. Rooms are like home and the reception mr mukharji was a very polite person also one of the best characters whom i met in my life. So if you are new and dont want to book hotel form oyo type farji marketing apps then you must try at once this location.

The rooms are pretty old and out of fashioned way. Rooms are damped and the walls structure are pretty poor. Toilets are not clean. Please update the hotel infrastructure. Besides staffs are good and well behaved.

Good accommodation with clean rooms. However tap hot water only available during winter. At the time of stay however we got lukewarm water from tap. Other times its given in buckets. Air cooled rooms published on net. However due to centralized connection, if one customer asks to switch on the cooler and same time other one asks to off it!

Govt is not maintaining this tourist place properly. If proper facilities provided it can be a hot tourist attraction. Even basic amenities are not properly maintained.

Banyan tree many local plants. We visited in morning. That’s give us very fresh start of the day .. we met one of the railway retired employees they told us that here is 3 km track for walk in lake and 12 selfie points .. lake are amazing we see lots of birds like painted stork and common cormorants..

My visit to Foy Sagar Lake was a decent experience. The lake's serene surroundings and tranquil waters provided a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The scenic beauty was pleasant, and it was a nice place to spend some time in nature. However, the amenities around the lake were somewhat limited, and I wished there were more facilities for visitors. Overall, it's a good spot for a quiet outing, but it may not offer as many activities or services as some other tourist destinations.

Beautiful lake , the area is renovated too recently though still there is lot of scope for betterment. Paid Parking is there. Wonderful place for people who like to spend time with nature.

Peaceful lake just outside Ajmer city. Nice to visit any time. There is also a garden adjacent to the lake, which is maintained quite well. There were not restrictions to entry into the lake when I visited. There is no security so you need to be careful around the water in case you go close. Neatness was okayish. I did find some waste near the lake. But it was a nice spot to take a small break as I was riding to Ajmer from Jaipur.

Fateh means “Victory” and Sikri is “village” on which city was built by Akbar in 1571. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and about 40 kms from Agra. It has Jodha Bai's palace, Jama Mosque, Buland Darwaza, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, Ibadat Khana, and several other places. It is a harmonious blend of Indo-Islamic architecture. The complex is very big and needs around 2-3 hours to visit and enjoy properly. Upon entering the complex there is a vast courtyard and several structures seen around. There is UP Tourism hotel near the complex which gives a good stay. There are several photographic points in the complex.

Fatehpur Sikri is in UP . There are lot of tourist destinations in Fatehpur but this one is the most visited place by tourists. Place will be less crowded/somewhat empty early in the morning. Place will be very calm and cool in the morning. Private vehicle should be parked in the parking area and a dedicated bus is available for visiting this place . You can take a guide if you are interested to know the history of the place. If you want to spend time in that place and click pictures I would not recommend you to take a guide. They won’t be giving you time . Guide will come for very less price but they will try to scam you in the middle by asking you purchase chadar (shawl) for offering. Be aware of scams.

During my visit to Fatehpur Sikri visited this place and it was a wonderful experience. As I have visited the place during winters and on public holiday so there was a lot of rush but enjoyed a lot. As there you will find the guides who will let you know about the place so it's better if you book them so that you will get to know about the place. As Buland Darwaza was constructed by Akbar after the victory over Gujarat and also it is the highest gateway in the world and an example of Mughal Architecture. The tomb of Shaikh Salim Chisti is also there and people came here and make the wish. So overall a great place having finest Mughal era construction and one can see if they want to explore India.

Giant palace in the early Moghul capital. We were taken around with a guide, which I would recommend to everyone exploring this giant place with it's different sections and palaces. It shows a huge diversity in architecture, combining Hindu, Christian and Islam elements. You can easily spend two or more hours there. There is a huge car park from where shuttle buses bring you to the fort.

First of all, this place is just 5 min walk from fatehpur sikri fort, one has to open shoes and wear bathroom slippers provided by the shoekeeper outside. There are lots and lots of small vendors, kids and people acting as guides and kids from nearby villages following to receite shayari in 50 rupees. These vendors are also allowed inside the premises and follows you till the parking spot. The vendors even captures the buland darwaza and not a single proper photograph of buland darwaza can be captured. Salim chisti's dargah is inside and the guide misses no chance to take you for buying chadar at 10x costs. The small one is for single person starting at 1100 rupees and the so called family chadar they sell from 5100 to 11000 rupees. This place stinks, vendors are looting, everyone here even the sweepers and cleaners exclaims that they receive no salary and is totally dependent on the tourists who pay them, is that even a true lie to believe? Everywhere people wanted to loot as much as they can and guides have set commissions to bring us to them plus their charge. Will recommend to visit the dargah but bring along everything from outside.

I visit Fatehpur Sikri bulnd darwaza visited this palace and the experience was amazing. As I have visited the palace during the winters so enjoyed a lot. The jodha bai palace is nearly about 30 km far from Agra and the ticket price is rupees 50 for entering into the palace. So nearly it take around 2 to 2.5 hours to visit the palace completely. From Agra you can book private taxi or you can take the public taxi from Shahganj Agra. So overall it was a nice experience and near to the palace there is Buland Darwaza the main entrance to the jama masjid at Fatehpur Sikri. So you can enjoy you day by visiting both the places. Its a beauty to watch in person and get aww struck. This is one place which we should visit at-least once and enjoy the shear size and beauty of it.This place is really hard to describe in words. This place is something the without ultra-wide camera can't be captured in one frame. The shear size is 40 meters high and 51 meters from the ground. The total height of the structure is about 54 meters from the ground level. It is a 15-storied high gateway acting as the southern entrance of the city of Fatehpur Sikri. The approach to the gate consists of 42 steps. I visited this place unfortunately during peak summer season but this place is marvellous.

This is a Mughal architecture which was made by Akbar and when you look at this it’s like how they had build this, it’s so huge. This is a crowded place and inside this darwaza there is Chisti Dargah, mosque and few more things to visit. You have to take off your shoes before entering this place. This place is open and well maintained. You can see the art work of Mughal era on this darwaza. But people spat gutka everywhere and ruining this historical moment. Best time to visit this place is December end to January month.

There is no need to buy any tickets. And the place is not really beautiful as people have hyped it. All you get to see is lots of tomb of salim and lots of more people all in line. And in the starting is the big main entrance called buland darwaja. And there is a masjid inside and a pond which is ill maintained and is all dirty people just wash their feet hands and some even their mouth and face. It got on my nerves seeing people using those dirty pond water. personally I did not like the place and People will irritate you for hiring a guide, for buying flowers and chadar for the masjid and we met a guy who even tried to threaten us for buying flowers and keeping him as a guide and keeping our shoes in his shop. I found that behaviour offensive. Also we did not found any good mode of transport for visiting the place. We had to change 3 times from agra to fatehpur sikri and it was hectic. I usually dont give so less rating to any place. But after travelling so many places I found it worst

the "Ghost city" came out to be so mesmerizing when visited. Especially the Buland Darwaja will awestruck u with its majestic size and architect. its the main entrance to the huge, square premises of Jama Mosque. it have another 3 gates, among them kings gate is also functional. inside the mosque there is salim chisthi's dargah and tomb of islam khan too. whole area is made in red stone and the intricate floral inlay work with white stone can be seen. dargah is totally made in white marble. its an another level of vibes u feel here. u find urself so tiny against this massive monument. few thing to keep in mind- - its an hour journey from Agra by taxi so minimum half a day is needed to know this place. - early morning is the best time to explore. shoes r not allowed inside so in day time stone floor become so hot until its winter. - there will be many unauthorized guides pestering on u as u step down from taxi. be aware of the, most of them r fake. - A guide is a must here to explore it right . - people selling tiny craft items and souvenir inside the mosque, dont fall in their trap. - entry fee is just 50/- per person - once u visit this area u can go to jodha bai mahal by shuttle . it will save u lot of time. - its a UNESCO site n our indian heritage. pls help maintain this place clean by doing ur part.

Fatehpur Sikri This small town in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, is on the world heritage list of UNESCO owing to the 16th century AD group of monuments belonging to emperor Akbar's era. The mughal emperor commissioned this city as a mark of his victory. It remained his capital city for about a decade but was abandoned due to shortage of water. Though the place is portrayed as belonging to the Akbar era, it actually existed as a prominent place much before that. They say that it was in the limelight since the 7th century AD. Today the archeological site is well maintained by the ASI. It is a worthy tourist attraction, very easily accessible by road. It sits right on the Jaipur Agra highway. One can cover the monuments in less than two hours. If you are a photographer you may add another hour to your schedule. Buland Darwaza - the iconic high gate, is a magnificent structure and a masterpiece of mughal architecture. Unfortunately local people don't seem to be respecting the monument. People sitting idle on the steps chewing tobacco and spitting all over is a disgusting sight. Also, goats roam free at the gate. Graffiti on the walls of monuments is another menace in India and this place was no exception. Such sights at tourist places reflect on our country’s tourism profile. High time Indian tourism ministry paid attention to such things.

It was very enlightening. You need a very knowledgeable guide to truly enjoy it as without a person to explain the historical significance and story behind the monuments it feels incomplete. P.S: I'll be honest with you before here I went to the Taj Mahal and I was bored out of my mind cause I was just looking at the monuments. At first the architecture was interesting but eventually I lost interest and spent the rest of the time in the garden. On the other hand my friends who were with the guide had a lot of fun. If u didn't figure it out I was separated on the way in.

It was a surreal journey in time, where reality constantly tangoed with fantasy. I don't know where to even begin to express gratitude to experience Mayo in every possible way. As far as the infrastructure is concerned... It's the zenith of it. But biggest problem I found is...it's seriously expensive... Only VVIPs can afford it... I couldn't click better pictures as I was driving inside the campus.

This Mosque was constructed by Emperor Akbar as a token of his Devotion and Gratitude on the occasion of the birth of prince Salim (Jahangir) in the year 1455 A.D. It is a Square of 140x140x2 feet and its central area is 56 (feets) high. In the centre, there had been a hauz (tank) for wazoo (ablution).Owing to certain resons, the hauz was closed and covered. Now the Mosque is known as Akbari Mosque. At present this place also houses a Quranic Educational Institution to provide religious education to the children.

This is the one of the mosque constructed by King Akbar. This is best place to pray at khawaja ji Darbar. You can sit here and pray.

The Akbari Masjid as the name implies is a mosque built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The story goes that Akbar had the mosque built in gratitude for the birth of his son, Prince Salim. By the standards of mosques, the entrance is richly decorated in a gold background with arabic writing and floral themes, a style also found opposite the Dargah Sharif which is adjacent to the mosque complex. The rest of the mosque is built with mosque is built mostly of marble, but decorated in a bland green. It though it was okay. The place is very commercial because of the Dargah and there are many stalls inside the mosque complex selling stuff to worshippers wanting to pray at the shrine.

Jumma khutba starts at 2.10 and jumma namaz starts at 2.20, but reaching is difficult you have to be at Buland darwaza main gate at 1.45 then you can reach this masjid, it is rush hour because shahjahani namaz ends and precisely people exit in large number.,,kind of stemepede situation, so be careful try to reach before 12.00 and you can wazu in akbari masjid

Located at one side of the Dargah complex, the Akbari Masjid is a unique spot indeed. One has to climb up a few steep steps to reach a citadel upon which this mosque was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Akbar. Most people coming to the Dargah don't know about its existence and as a result it's almost always empty, I had a grand time exploring such a beautiful structure on my own and then sitting down in one corner and imagining how Akbar himself and later perhaps his sons and grandsons used to come and pray here too. Like all mosques, one has to dress modestly and wear a covering on the head for both men and women.

Akbari Masjid is a mosque located inside the dargah area in the name of the great Mughal ruler Akbar. Once you are inside the dargah you will visit this place and can have namaz here. It's told that the large utensils for making food for the common people located on either side of the dargah are made by him. Altogether it's a must-visit place for travellers.
