This bridge. It’s just stunning. Its like the centre piece in an art gallery. It ties the city together. Quite literally. There is no path by it. You will cross it a lot, either on food or in the Metro. And you’ll love it. What a mere steel structure can conjure up is simply amazing. This bridge is magnificent. You can walk both on the upper deck or the lower deck. On the upper deck there also goes the tram. The view is very good and you overlook the whole city alongside the Duoro River. Walking on this bridge gives you a very pleasant feeling. Highly recommend to take a talk on both levels of this bridge.

A beautiful walk along the bridge. Such a gorgeous view with scenery to match. Well built and kept quite clean. It was quite windy when we went and it was a strong wind so can be a bit daunting but otherwise a completely fun experience.

This is the most beautiful attraction in Porto. When you walk along the top of the bridge, the height seems prohibitive, the view of the city on the river and the trams that rush past is wonderful. The only moment the bridge is partially under reconstruction now, and almost half of the lower part is covered with building films.

This is another great piece of architecture in Porto and a definitive must-see and do. If you want to cross the river Douro, then this is a great way to do so. Be it on the lower level or on the top level. For the amazing city views of course you should head to the top. There are some cable-cars passing the bridge. But not very frequently, so there's a lot of space, even though full with visitors. There's always a gap to be found to take in the views or to take some pics. At its construction, its 172 metres span was the longest of its type in the world. The construction was to be administered by Théophile Seyrig, a disciple of Gustave Eiffel. It was inaugurated on October 31st, 1886. There are many reasons to come to this bridge. The city views, the river Douro views. Or for the bridge itself and its stunning architecture and history.

Beautiful piece of engineering. The heart of Porto where you can go by walk and enjoy the view. It is quite windy here and if you don't like heights, better to take the metro to get to the other side. But if you visit Porto, going on this bridge is almost duty. :)

The absolute best way to get from Porto city centre to the south side of the Douro River. You are sharing the narrow bridge with other pedestrians, bikes and trams, so stay alert. Additionally, the railing is surprisingly short for the height of the bridge: if you suffer from vertigo, do not take this route!

It's a must visit place in Porto, and as a pedestrian crossing the top level with trams and sidewalks. On either side and especially to the south you can walk to viewing points to look back and marvel at the engineering, design and beauty of the bridge. From the top of the bridge, you can get good views of Porto, the south and the Douro river that separates them. The bottom level is currently closed off to cars, and pedestrians are directed to one way lanes to cross that have limited areas of viewing.

You cannot miss the famous Luis Bridge when you are in Porto, Its their icon. This place is bustling with life, there are lots of people and sunshine. I enjoy sitting by the river bank watching people and the world goes by.

Great views both day and night. It’s a lot less crowded at night even though the view is equally impressive, but it still wasn’t too busy around noon. Walking along the top and the bottom levels is a must. You can also view the Luís I from the other bridges.

We walked across the lower level of the bridge, from Porto to Gaia, and then, after doing a bus tour, we walked across the top back to Porto. On the lower level, you can admire the river boats and look up to the buildings. From the top, it was honestly stunning views, but it was absolutely terrifying to realize how high you truly are (my dad carried my daughter on his shoulders all the way across....I, of course, was mortified).😱🫣 I never thought I was scared of heights until I was on top of this bridge.😅 The top of the bridge is only accessible by foot traffic or tram (train?). Vehicles, such as cars and buses, are prohibited.

Views of the bridge and from the bridge are spectacular. Same architect Gustavo Eiffel as in Paris’ Eiffel Tower and you can see same metal constructions there. Convenient pedestrian and car links on both upper and lower levels.

Stunning view and sophisticated design for a beautiful and distinctive landmark in Porto! The landmark was designed by Gustavo Eiffel, the same French civil engineer who has designed Eiffel Tower. The bridge represents a unique architectural landmark in the port which emphasizes the touristic value and increase the city image potential for visitors and tourists. We have really enjoyed the view at different times during the day and night, however, the sunset view over there is out of this world. Whether you were at the lower or the higher level of the bridge, the view and vibes are just stunning and very beautiful. A great homogeneous design within the whole surroundings contexts, especially the cultural and geographical ones. The bridge increases the connectivity between Porto two parts and motivates more pedestrians.

This bridge, which is the heart of Porto, is beautiful both at night and during the day. There are pedestrian paths and tram & car roads on both the lower and upper floors. It's great to have a bird's eye view of the Douro River

This iron bridge is absolutely beautiful. It has two levels, the lower level allows pedestrians to walk cross. On the up level trams slowly move cross. I have crossed the bridge twice. Once I walked. It took me less than 10 minutes. The view from the bridge looking down the cute houses along the riverbank was amazing. The second day I took the tram. The tram stops right after passing the bridge. There is a small park there. I recommend doing both way to fully appreciate the bridge.

Beautiful bridge across the Douro river. The upper part connects old Town Porto with Gaia, and the lower part leads to the wine makers. But the sidewalks are narrow and be careful so the tram doesn't hit you.

Pretty bridge with two crossings on it. The top level which is where the tram runs, and the bottom which is more convenient for the riverside pedestrians on both sides of the river. Pretty during the day, gorgeous at night.

Luis I Bridge was built by Eiffel’s student. What a great student he must have been. The bridge is set over two levels. The lower bridge for cars and the upper bridge for tram and pedestrians. The funicular is to one end of the bridge. It is an unmissable attraction when visiting Porto. Great place to catch sunset and sunrise. My pictures are from an older camera which hopefully captures these images in a different light. Another great way to capture the bridge is from the Gaia cable car. The views from the bridge are unrivalled.

One of a most visit place in Porto (that is what people often said). I have been in Portugal almost 3 years and never been inside of the place. I am just passing in front of it many times and the queue is always long. Pros: 1. Parking accessible for wheelchair. 2. Entrance accessible for wheelchair. 3. Unique building with its decorations. 4. Informative staffs. 5. You can buy the ticket online. 6. You can buy book here. Cons: 1. The queue is kind of long. Maybe it is better to visit in the end of the day to avoid the crowd.

It is certainly a beautiful library that mainly focuses in universal literature in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French. It is a nice place to visit, despite the fact that it has become a bit of a tourist trap. You may have to wait in the line for hours to access to a library that’s full of people. The best time of the day to visit, is in the late afternoon, right before the place closes. It is also better to get your tickets online previously. If you love books, and have the time to spend in a line, you should visit this place.

Wow. Full recommendation right away. It’s so worth visiting this place. Even just for the look. you don’t have to get one of the books there to appreciate how awesome it looks. And if you are a Harry Potter fan this is a must anyway. Just book online in advance and the waiting time is kept to a mere 10-15 minutes. Go see it!

This just might be the most beautiful bookstore in the world, but it is very hard to tell with the crush of people that visit every half hour. I do recommend booking your tickets online so you have the opportunity to see the beautiful architecture and book arrangements inside.

Very pretty, but very busy place. You can take cute pictures on the staircase inside at the end of every 30 mins when most of the people left the library again according to the time windows. Only a few books can be bought with the gold ticket, mainly the small classics.

Agreed it's one of the best bookstores in the world but it is too crowded for my liking. You can only book online. Take the last shift, 6:30 pm booking. Eight euros for entry and you get a discount if you buy books from them. The books are mostly in Portuguese but that's not a con. It's understandable. Folks go in and only care about getting themselves clicked. Staff super polite and kind. Also willing to visit. A one time visit (only because of the crowd).

The building's inside is very beautiful! The interior is outstanding from the handcrafted wood ceilings to the thoughtfully designed staircase. Despite the fact that you have to pay for a ticket in order to access the library, it seems to be always packed. The Library has a substantial collection of books. Definitely would visit for the wonderful experience. I suggest checking out the unique editions that the library has created if you're in the market for books.

It is a beautiful store. Wish I had nore time but too crowded cant blame people for wanting to go. I wanted to enjoy the craftsmanship of the work in the walls and shelves. Its a work of art. Could not get great pics because of the crowd but seeing it was suffice!

Beautifully designed. Total tourist trap. Small book store with a very limited selection of books. Definitely caters to tourists with the book selection. €5 entrance charge but they do credit you that much if you purchase a book. The stairway is beautiful but good luck getting a picture without someone posing on it. The staff was very friendly. Not really worth the wait in line if you are looking for an actual book and not just a social media post. But the staff was nice and it is beautiful inside.

It is a really nice place, indeed. Amazing architecture, nice set-up. We got our tickets online and booked the visit at 14:00. Even if the line was really long and we were somewhere in the middle, at 14:07 we enter the library. A bit to crowded, but I think it was worth it. :)

It is a beautiful library indeed, but not sure if it's worth the hassle to go in. Tickets are only €5 (must be bought online and make sure you do that in advance as they can get sold out quickly). The problem is the queue to get in and the amount of people inside at once. It's nearly impossible to enjoy or take a proper picture. Books there are really expensive and can certainly be bought for a much better price anywhere else.

This book store is great. If you love or even just like Harry Poter then this place should be on your list to visit. Inside is stunning. There are soo many awesome "old school" books. Many different designs of HP books too. Make sure buy your tickets online before.

If you like Harry Potter then if you are in Porto this book shop is a must visit book in advance as this place is very busy. Tours start about every 30 minutes. What a highlight when in Porto ! Definitely buy tickets online before going, and expect lineups, even with a scheduled time. It is well worth a bit of a wait. We arrived 1/2 hour earlier and there were lots of people already in line. Everyone does get in, though, and it's a photographer's delight. With a grand staircase and beautiful wood bookcases filled with old books, it's a great way to spend an hour. Of course, Harry Potter fans will love this place.

You should definitely make a reservation. And please buy the ticket, which is 15.90€. They cannot manage capacity. And overcrowded you waiting long time probably. A phenomenal place to visit! You get back in time in a place that has all the bells and whistles! Every detail is amazing - from the central staircase to the ceiling and side columns! Soak up the atmosphere of the grandeur of past times... They do have some organization in place but it is still quite crowded! €5 to get in which goes towards your purchase if you buy a book. I would highly recommend making that ticket purchase online and prior to getting there because the line is quite long. The online purchase puts you on the shorter- fast track line. The prints are elegant with gold finishes - they make a great gift! You can also pick a recipe book or a city guide with amazing photos! I would highly recommend this place!

A unique bookstore in Porto, the wooden staircase is beautiful and very much Harry Potter inspired. Truly a must see when in Porto. Book tickets online as time slots are allocated. It attracts a lot of people and the line is long. Still worth the visit.

This is an absolute must-see in Porto, especially if you're a book lover! The tickets can be bought in advance or at the entrance via QR code so you can secure your time slot. We got the option that is €8 p/person and gives you a discount on a purchase. I got a book that was originally €15 for just €8. It didn't take more than 15minutes to get inside, and it had a wide variety of books in many languages, cool merchandise, and beautiful decor.

The building is amazing and the books are flashy and attractive. But the quality of the books is incredibly low and the number of people insight is just spoiling the experience. I really hoped that the books would be of a good quality but I just feel cheated. All the books I got are somehow badly printed.

Livraria Lello is absolutely enchanting, like a wizard's library straight out of a magical world! The staircase and book arrangement add a whimsical touch, making it a dream spot for book lovers. Kids were over the moon, rating it 10 out of 10 magical stars! 📚✨ Tickets cost about €8 per head online. On the downside, the long queue even on a rainy day and the bustling crowds inside were a bit of a dampener. The queue is long for online purchased time slot tickets. Despite that, the magical vibes made it a memorable experience for all.

Amazing book shop (not a library), it is very hard to find the quiet time, there is always huge queue. It is quite handy to buy tickets online, but voucher can only be used on books not on merchandise (hope in the future they change it). I would have enjoyed it way more if we could able to catch a quite time, but overall it is a magical must see place of Porto.

An interesting experience that would be a shame to miss. It's a pity that the history and architectural feats of the bookshop itself have been overshadowed by the Harry Potter shop. If you can, buy a golden ticket for the opening, because then you only have a chance to take a quick photo and look around, after 10 minutes you'll be swept away by the flood. The bookshop is stunning but it’s very, very crowded, quite small and so busy that it really doesn’t feel worth the ticket price to get shoved around it for ten mins just to take a photo of the amazing decor. You are meant to be able to use the tickets to get discount on any books bought but we were only allowed to use one of our three tickets when buying.

A huge range of books (English, French and Portuguese), and the editions made in store have beautiful design art and covers. It's worth the price, in my opinion. The place was extremely busy and felt a little cramped at times. Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The architecture was gorgeous; it was worth a visit just for the view of the stairs & ceiling. The cost to get in is €8pp (book online and scan the ticket to enter), but you can redeem the cost against any book you buy per person.

Highly recommend to buy golden tickets (priority ticket), the silver ticket has a very very long line even if it has the time reserved. You can buy the bookstore’s special pocket series of books with the same ticket (15.9 euro). The staffs are so friendly despite the place is packed with tourists.

Exquisitely beautiful bookshop near a modern shopping area and in the historic centre. I had previously read that people found it overpriced, but I thought the book prices were average (certainly wouldn’t get them cheaper in the UK), and your ticket into the building gets redeemed against a book of your choice. Books could be bought in Portuguese, French and English, no doubt Spanish too but I didn’t see any of those books. They had beautiful printed classics and the staff were helpful. Main downside is that because it’s so touristy it’s difficult to move around, especially with people stopping to pose on the staircase, and your time in the bookshop is somewhat limited.

Touristy but a must do! There are a lot of street musicians and cafes. The views of the bridge are also spectacular. (submitting some videos from very talented musicians we found!)

Lovely riverside walk along the Douro

Beautiful during day and night but the best time of the day to explore this beautiful place is in the early morning. Not a lot of people around, beautiful light and just peaceful and stunning.

It’s a lively place of Porto with beautiful river front view and lots of bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. I came down from the Porto Cathedral, walked a long, quiet stone path which felt like walking in a medieval town. When came down to the river front, I instantly felt back to the modern day. It was quite a unique experience. Sitting here watching the sunset, watching the trains crossing the bridge, small boats floating in the water, all felt serene.

If you do anything in Porto, walk this bridge from the bottom, walk along the shoreline and view the port factories and restaurants, take the cable car back to the top, go to the lookout, and walk back across to downtown on the upper level. Our Airbnb was downtown and we didn't actually really like it terribly much because it was so, so touristy and busy. When we got to the other side by walking the bridge, however, our perspective changed completely. I would also recommend the 1-hour river tour, and there are several, and not expensive, to get a broader view of the city from the inside out, so to speak.

No matter the weather this part of Porto is always gorgeous, even if it's raining. It's a nice place to come and take in the view and chill after a long walk. Personally I wouldn't recommend the restaurants nearby, it's for tourists and locals don't eat there so you can imagine the price.

A cool tower with a magnificent church and nice museum inside. Climbing up to the tower you can see the city with a 360 degree view. However, the information board is incorrect in stating that Taipei 101 is in China. It is In Taipei, Taiwan. 🇹🇼

Beautiful museum and the view from top of the tower is incredible. There is a ticket of 6 euro per person. The museum has some really interesting articles related to brotherhood of clergy. There are a lot of stairs to climb for the top of tower.

The church was very nice with a nice museum set up inside. Another lovely piece of history. We pre purchased ticks which skipped the small line up.

The experience was one of a kind. You need to take more than 200 steps all the way up to reach the tower and the view on top is breathtaking! I highly recommend this! 👌

The tower great way to see Porto from above. The church is really pretty and there is a small museum with Catholic art and relics before you attempt to climb the tower. The stairs are a little steep and the stairwell is narrow, so it might be difficult to climb up if you're a bigger person or someone who has a phobia of tight spaces but the view is lovely and worth the effort.

A very pleasant church. We visited on a Sunday and happened upon a concert and an exhibition. If you come across such a combination, it's worth to sit down and just lose yourself in beautiful music. There is a nice little shop at the back of the church. Unfortunately, we did not visit the tower.

Beautiful church and the view from the Tower is great. Another place that lacks a bit of context and more historical facts on the many rooms you go through. They could do a better job at controlling access to the highest parts of the Tower. It starts to get messy with people going up and down. And at the peak you barely have space to move as no one is controlling how many people get up there. The view is great, tho! Also, the security guard at the entrance was poorly and did not show a lot of respect for the tourists.

Really great spot to check out while in Porto. Definitely pay for the tower tour to get some amazing views of the city and snap a few nice pics. You can also pickup some nice gifts at their store.

This surely is a landmark in Porto and a must-see. Built between 1732 - 1750. The unique and impressive tower at the back of the church was built between 1754 and 1763. The tower is 75.6 metres high and there are 240 steps to be climbed to reach the top. And if you're lucky about timing, you can enjoy the nice bells ringing. A wonderful piece of art and architecture. Nice to take some pics - even though the angle is a tough one to get a really good pic. But as usual it's best to see with your own eyes and to enjoy the beauty of it. It's located on top of a hill. Nothing tough, but may be a bit difficult with wheelchair or stroller. The old town center of Porto can easily be done by foot. We just did the Rua Santa Catarina, Rua das Flores and then headed here. Makes a nice walk.

A beautiful church with a tower that affords gorgeous views of the city of Porto. Entering the church is free but to climb the tower there is a charge and it's well worth it. In the tourist season this place is very crowded so best to get the tickets in advance

Lovely place to visit night and day. The tower: stairs are not wide so best to go when not busy. Lovely views from the top. We brought a dual ticket which worked out cheaper with the museum. The church at night has the light show which is very impressive and is 10 euros.

To the person who said it’s not as claustrophobic as other towers to climb, I can only assume you either are a UK size 0, or just aren’t fully aware of your surroundings. I’ve climbed plenty of Scottish castles and I found this worse personally, but that didn’t mean that I didn’t ultimately enjoy it when I reached the top, and I even got (obviously by paying for it) a fun green screen edited picture of me falling off of it (let’s assume it was a greenscreen shot anyway…) The church is beautiful too, gorgeous pink marble (I think?) lining some of the walls and ceiling. I didn’t realise until the end of the tower and museum part that you can go into the church by itself without having to climb the tower. It was only €5 anyway for a ticket which I thought was good value, and there was lots of stuff as part of the museum aspect about the brotherhood etc. Can also confirm that I have never seen so many Jesus’ all in one place before. I also appreciated they wanted to compare the height of this tower with the Chrysler Building (and others). Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, but just be aware there isn’t any lift up to the top of the tower.

Buy tickets online beforehand. Don't wait in line, it takes very long and you don't know when the next time slot will be available. The church itself is pretty nice, and it's cool to have a behind the scenes look at everything. The view from the tower is really very cool of course, but sadly it is very very busy at the top and on the way there. There's not a lot of space, because the tower was of course never made for tourist visits. You also cannot see the Ponte Luís I. Still definitely worth a visit!

Great views from the top, really enjoyed it, spent at least 30 mins at the top. Getting there takes a while because they obviously plan the route thoroughly through the church to see the museum-like rooms, chapel itself, and a green screen picture stop

This is a classic beautiful church. Unfortunately by 8 AM it is crowded with tourists. They’re not there to look at the church but rather take selfies. If you really wanna enjoy the church, get tickets in advance and enjoy them. Beautiful interior.

It looked beautiful from the outside but we didn't pay money to climb the tower. We went to a nearby hotel that had better than views on their roof terrace

This "palace" houses the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce. Because the only available option is the guided tour, one does not really have enough time to absorb the beauty of the building, but this did help us learn about its history (the enforcement of taking up a guided tour is understandable because the building is a workplace for the Chamber of Commerce, but I do wish they offered other options to pace it myself). They did not, however, stop us from taking a second look at some of the halls after the tour's end. There was another group touring the halls after us and we tried to steer clear so as not to disrupt them. The climax of the tour is the Arabic room, at the very end. The doors to the room will be closed, so that the entrance into the room can be more dramatic.

The Bolsa Palace is set right in Porto downtown. It was built in 19c by the Porto Commerce Chamber with the idea to impress foreign traders and investors, as for centuries Porto was a huge and important trade hub. I was hesitating if to visit this palace, but having missed it 9 years ago when I was here I decided to go. Luckily, waiting time for the next tour was only around 15 min and they had available tickets for English tour (you cannot visit without the tour). Considering the palace, there are 3 impressive places: 1. the main hall with State coats of arms of the states Porto dealt business with, 2. the hall after the stairway which is beautifully hand carved in granite and 3. the last golden Arabic room which is really stunning. All other rooms are very average - you see much better in palaces throughout Europe. However, the biggest drawback was a tour guide herself - a young lady trying to be interesting, but speaking so loud and with such a heavy accent. I was struggling to understand her with that accent, and at the same time her loud voice echoed in those big spaces, so around the half I got tired from that. To conclude, go for the tour if you haven't seen many palace like edifices and if there isn't a long waiting time for your language tour.

Amazing place with lots of history and fun with guides. Arabic room is stunning. Make sure to visit it while in Porto. The only downside is that tickets are sold only there and you would need to queue for quite a long time during pick hours. Take umbrella and lots of cold water to avoid overheating.

Be aware. Even if you get the tickets in advance, you still have to get in the line and get to the ticketing register and pick the time/language slot that is available. They offer four different languages for mandatory guided tour. So even if you get the tickets in advanced or not, you have to get in the wait line, get to the register, get the ticket or show them the purchased ticket, pick the time slot, and have to come back. I don't understand the purpose of advanced ticketing. Ticketing system needs improvement asap. Wait line is very long and there are no shades so you feel like getting cooked outside. Horrible experience. Also, tour was done with 50 people at a time. No microphone or anything. You can barely hear the guide. I don't think you need tour guide. Place was piece of art, and staffs were very friendly but overall system is very poorly managed. I hope they improve these inconveniences in the near future.

Definitely worth visiting. You only need to pay €10 which comes with a guide tour in many different languages of your choice. Through the tour you get to learn about the history and the architecture. The meeting room is amazing, decorated in the exotic Moorish Revival style and intricate carvings.

Stunning place inside, definitely much better than outside. Sad that even though we bought the ticket online there was a fast queue where you had to specify the hour the the compulsory tour. It’s not like you can just enter and stroll around, you must chose a time and participate in the tour with 30 or more people. You can chose the language of the tour between Spanish, Portuguese, French and English. The space inside is really nice it’s worth to take pictures, kind that the tour is a bit long, it lasted about 1 hours for few rooms. Let’s say there was a lot to listen and standing

Amazing place. The staff was so friendly and helpful. When in Portugal, you must visit this place! Amazing! Beautiful! You can buy the tickets in site, or online. The tour guide can be in Portuguese, English and French.

Great visit! The guided your is mandatory. There is one every 30 minutes and the languages rotate from English, Spanish portuguese and French. We had to wait an hour or so before being able to get in. I would recommend buying ticket in advance if possible. But other than that the tour was amazing. Reasonably sized, no crammed and interesting explanation of many of the rooms.

Incredibly beautiful place. It was an open outcry commodity trading place till 1994 after which it still remains as a Chamber of Commerce for North Portugal. You can see the Old Portuguese money here, and this was THE business hub of it's time, so this had to be opulent. There are kilos of gold leaf work, Italian woodwork and the Arabic room is just magnificent. There are English language guided tours for Euro 12 per person (you cannot go without a tour as it's a private property), and the tour was absolutely worth it. The guide was extremely informative and took their time answering questions. Highly recommend this if in Porto.

We arrived first hour in the morning just before got completely full. We had an amazing guide just for ourselves. She was kind, helpful and really knowledgeable. We enjoyed the beautiful palace and impressive architecture. I recommend going early in the morning so you can enjoy it when it’s empty.

The place is beautiful. The building and atmosphere is pleasing. You can get the transportation just infront and go around the city. Must visit. By the way. Don't take the tramp, it's not as you expect so may find disappointment later on.

Sublime palace, it’s definitely worth your visit. I give it 3 stars beacause the bodyguard kept looking, checking and following us and it made us uncomfortable. Also, remember that you can only take pictures during your guided tour.

Bolsa Palace, which houses the Porto Chamber of Commerce, is an interesting place to visit with lots of history and beautiful rooms to enjoy, especially the main hall and the Arabic room. You have to join a guided tour to explore the building which is annoying but understandable as it's a working building, but you do get a good level of insight from the guides into the many stories of the historic building. No access to toilets until after your tour though. Would recommend visiting, but best to book ahead.

It's a mandatory guided tour or about 30-40mins that takes you through the whole palace that's actually an official office of commerce. You will be guided through the enormous hall, the beautiful staircase with 2 hanging chandeliers, subsequently followed by the presidential room, office of the president, the ball room and the voting room or where general assemblies take place. Worth the visit as it's nicely decorated and contains a lot of local history.

This was a beautiful building and it was great to be able to see the inside and hear some of the history behind it. Getting tickets and signing up for a guided tour was quite easy, and the wait for the next English one wasn’t very long. Our guide was also very friendly and ensured we had the time to look around the rooms, ask questions, and take photos at our own pace. Definitely worth the visit!

Such a stunning building in the historic centre near the river. I hadn’t realised that a tour was mandatory, the English speaking ones were full unless I wanted to wait a few hours so I went on a Spanish speaking one and only grasped a handful of words so I don’t really know the history of the place, but the guide seemed friendly. The tour lasted about 30 minutes, paid €7.50 as a student to get in, think it would’ve been a bit expensive at full price, but it was still worth it to see the beautiful building. Definitely recommend buying a ticket in advance, helps for planning out your day.

If you are resident of Portugal and student as well (Erasmus student or student of Portugal) you can buy ticket for 5.50€ It's good to buy ticket jn advance- they let enter only on specific hours, for each hour different language. It's nice place, with historical background, I found out most interesting part the Arab conference room which was extraordinary in compare to others. For Portugal, it is some special place, however if you have limited time in Porto I would recommend you to visit Igreja São Francisco first, which is right next to Palácio da Bolsa and for me offers a lot more if it comes to history, architecture and overall beauty. A lovely palace. Went at 9 am reading other reviews on it being hard to get tickets, but it was wide open and only 3 people other than us. Had a very brisk tour with a good guide .Wish the guide would have let us linger and take photos and savor the place rather than rush us from room to room. It was very informative and I especially loved the Hall of Nations. Took the English tour and the guide was very attentive to the needs of the group (e.g., asking if anyone needs to up/down using the lift, assisting families with kids).

With the ticket and at no additional cost, as part of the tour you can climb the tower and appreciate incredible views of Porto. This was a beautiful cathedral, but make sure you're in good shape for several steep stairs. The views feom the rooftop were magnificent, and the blue tiles throughout were breathtaking. We'll worth the 3 euros.

My first visit of cathedral’s area was after sunset after walking over top level of Luis Bridge and area looked beautiful and slightly eerie with musicians singing on the square. Next morning I’ve been back and both cathedral and its square looked as impressive under bright sunshine. It is surely worth to visit cloister and Treasure room also.

Beautiful cathedral completed on 1737 with nice cloister. Tickets for 3€ but it is worth paying them as besides visiting the cloister and cathedral itself you can climb one or the two towers to get amazing views of the Douro river and city. Don’t miss visiting it!

Very nice cathedral and its monastery. The central courtyard is beautiful and gives access to many other rooms and chapels. You can also access the top of the Bell tower and get a nice view. You can also buy the full tour ticket for 6€ which gives access to the Palace next to the cathedral. It's an important spot to visit, definitely recommended.

Note: admission helps preserve the property and its treasures. Located on the top of a hill this cathedral is one of the most impressive things Porto. It can get busy but I suggest you definitely make the track up to the top of the tower amazingly stunning views and also the bishop's quarters is very impressive as well some of the blue drawings and paintings are amazing the level of details just stunning and you won't regret it.

We came on a Friday afternoon, it was busy but not too crazy. It's a beautiful old church. Walking into the chapel itself was magical, from the floor to the incredibly ornate carving that covered the altar and ceilings. We went upstairs to the tower. The climb is not for the faint of heart but the view was worth it.

Must do! Great place. Wonderful church interior and tiled walls everywhere. Also, pretty to look at from the outside at night. The plaza in front has a nice view, too. It gets a little windy here. Entrance is worth it, and the place is big enough inside, so you don't feel the number of people. The tower has very high irregular steps, and it's a little exhausting, but the view is nice. It's definitely worth a visit.

I went to the 11am mass on Sunday and it was a wonderful experience. Even though I haven’t attended mass in quite some time the muscle memory was there and the cultural experience was beautiful. Additionally, it is worth the couple of euros to tour the cathedral and you MUST climb to the top of the tower — the view is SPECTACULAR!

One word: WOW!!! Everything about this place is incredible: INCREDIBLE! The walk to the town is not strenuous at all and the staircase quite wide, so it’s imperative that you go up and enjoy the view!

It is simply a beauty of the city of Porto. You can visit inside, you can spend some time outside and check the river Ribeira from the top. You can walk from the narrow streets of Porto from Cathedral to the river. The architecture is amazing. It is simply beautiful and excellent. Don’t miss it.

Great impressive cathedral, cloister and a range of other rooms. It's also possible to climb the tower all the way to the top for a magnificent 360 degree view across Porto. Just a small fees to go inside the building. You can feel this building somewhat back in how many decades. There are a lots of blue tiles in the ground floor as well upper floor. You can also enjoy the city view either from the outside of the building or go up inside the tower.

Stunning architecture. The blue tile against the stone work is really beautiful and can feel serene even when busy. The views are also worth it! The main way is to walk up from the main road however the side street steps is worth the climb as also rely beautiful tiled old buildings and cats! €3 entry per person, gets and entry to all sections (extra for other museum) The cafe next door also does really good coffee.

When in Porto, you would never miss this hulking fortress like cathedral which sits on a hilltop. The alter is lavish baroque style gilded with gold leaf. The granite stonework and the high ceilings provide a solemn vibe. I was surprised to see painted ceiling like the ones I saw in Rome, which is not very common in Portugal. The cloister was the most impressive with walls that were fully decorated with brilliant blue and white tiles illustrating biblical stories. Climbing to the tower, again, more tiles, more stories. But makes the climbing more worthwhile it’s the view of the riverfront and the old town. The Porto Cathedral is a must visit when in Porto. With Porto Card, you can save €1.

It was 11:40 AM, February 29th, 2024. An extremely unfriendly and rude lady at the reception. Without greeting or making eye contact, or asking which type of ticket we wanted, all she said was '6 Euro'. We said we would like two combined tickets. Then she said '12 Euro' and put her hand out for money. She seemed very grumpy and somewhat angry. This really ruined our first impression and mood to see the inside. Hence, a low rating for this church. We were quite shocked how such a person can work at the ticket desk, especially in a church. The cloister was okay, although not impressive. It maintained many original features and looked great. The church was also beautiful and not overly elaborated or decorated.

Luckily I got here on the weekend when the garden and treetop walk were free. I paid € 12 for the museum, which seems a lot considering it is only one floor and one of the rooms is fully darkened and you have to walk through it blind to get to the rest of the exhibition. The museum was 2/5. The garden is pretty.

Thought it was ok. Most of museums exhibits didn't really resonate with me. The architecture section in the expansion was decent but overall I thought a bit overpriced for what you get. The security was also weird as I had to show my ticket in two sections even though there wasn't a special exhibit you need to pay for or anything Staff were also chatting fairly loudly at multiple places which also was weird/distracting.

A very special and interesting museum, two floors of exhibits, during our visit there were very impressive pictures of the artist Mark Bradford, a exhibit by Tarek Atoui, a fascinating acoustic exhibit by Christina Kubisch and other special exhibits. Around the museum there is a huge, very well-kept garden with huge trees, pools, artistic elements and beautiful paths. We spent two and a half hours and really enjoyed it.

This is a very special place. The museum art and exhibits were all very interesting both in the museum and definitely make sure you take time to wander the grounds. The old home is cool but there are also art spread around, ponds, skywalk and gardens that make up a massive estate. Such a lovely place to wander and escape from the city on a nice day. As well, the cafe is great for a break or to grab snacks to eat on the grounds.

This museum lies outside the center of Porto, easily accessible by city bus (just map it with Google). It is a large, airy space for contemporary art and also has a beautiful garden and interesting brutalist art deco mansion in pepto pink. I enjoyed my visit immensely

amazing garden (just visiting the garden is already a lot), beautiful Alvaro Siza building (with generally good exhibitions), cozy Tea House, good Cinema Museum and delicious art deco house and the new tree top walk. it’s a little pricey the whole ticket so plan to spend the whole day there to enjoy it fully. besides the tea house there’s a restaurant with a fancy buffet and a coffee place in the main building to eat or snack, but you can always picnic somewhere in the park.

Museum is full of interesting contemporary art works, especially room with industrial sounds. However, considering small scale of works, ticket price seemed overpriced to me (20 Euros). There is nice park in the museum and make sure to buy ticket that includes it also, because there is really cool garden and Joan Miro museum inside it. Overall, it was nice experience, but a bit overpriced

What can I say. Interesting art and building space. Great installation. The staff was friendly, but there were also a few of them a bit too eager to police the venue. Prices were fair and the surrounding park was beautiful. The only thing that place would need is a second exit at the end of the park. It’s quite a long way out of Porto, but still worth a visit. Full recommendation. 👌🏽

Wonderful art museum and park. A very decent collection and simply lovely to walk around the photogenic outdoor areas with lots of greens🌲. The park is big but not too big, 2.5 hours would be more than enough. A must-go place if you’re in Porto!

One of the best contemporary art museums I've been to, and I've been to a lot. But that is just my opinion. The halls and path are very intuitive and pleasant. The way they incorporate the garden as part of the exhibition (with the huge windows) is very cool, and the specific exhibition was top notch. All the movies, that usually it's harder for me to connect to, we're just memorizing. Loved it a lot. And there's a nice cafeteria / bar downstairs. Will definitely come back another time.

Well presented photography exhibition in a building of interesting architectural design. The restaurant on the top floor with terrace is highly recommendable. A simple yet very good buffet.

Very nice contemporary art museum, totally worth a visit. There is a ticket for the museum building only, and another one for everything, including gardens and a few more exhibitions. We chose the second. It was so much nicer to also walk around outside in nature, totally worth it. Their buffet restaurant is really nice and in my opinion it's worth the price - you can pick up as much as you want and variety is decent. I think price was 15 euros each.

Worse modern art museum I've ever visited. The space of the museum is pretty big, but there is nothing to look at. They presented only graphic posters (in one room) and some architecture planes. Really they think that planes and drawings (and drafts!!!) are something that can be interesting for a wide circle of visitors? Another building of the museum is art deco villa with Joan Miro exposition. There are maximum 10 artworks of Miro at all big villa. Dissatisfaction. I visited Joan Miro museum at Barcelona, that was really cool and worth. But this - nope. I didn't like the staff of museum also. The security woman insisted a way how I HAVE TO wear my bag. The only one way, no another, doesn't matter of comfort. Really?? At almost empty museum they say to visitors such? Shame!! If I could I would give 0 stars,but I give one star for nice and cared big garden territory of museum, where was pleasant to walk. I believe that it's very beautiful at spring and summer. Not recommended! Save your 20 euro, don't spend here!

I love modern and contemporary art and visit the MOMA in NYC as often as possible. I've traveled to over 130 countries and visited MOMAs in as many as I could find. I travel to photograph street art as well. I'm here to save you some money and time. I don't know what's been here in the past, but this place is quite awful. First of all there doesn't seem to be a permanent collection, so nothing to fall back on if the visiting exhibitions don't suit your taste. At the moment there is one exhibit about architecture that mainly features blueprints. There is one exhibit about paint on cloth (Don't think “oil on canvas”. Rather think “messy painting smock you were wearing the last time you painted your living room on a mannequin”). The third is maybe 1000 black and white photos of people in South Asia. There are huge rooms that have one poster on the wall or one exhibit in the center-and nothing else. This is a disgraceful waste of space and €13. The lady working at the front desk didn’t really want to take time to answer any questions and basically said, “read the signs.” The gardens are nice, but not worth the price. Gardens of this quality are free most everywhere in the world. There is nothing in particular that makes these gardens worth paying for. This should be skipped by everyone until they come to their senses.

I spent €20 to view the museum's empty walls. While there were three additional exhibitions, accessing all four requires paying the full price. The funds collected are dedicated exclusively to experiencing the architecture, offering no additional content. It's a complete waste of time and money.

I visited the casa de musica with 4 friends i know from studying architecture. We did a tour and were lucky to get to visit almost every venue. The building was fascinating and our guide, Isabella, was a very good at explaining the essence and every detail of casa de musica. I wish that the next time I visit I will get to listen to a concert there. All our expectations have been met and exceeded even. We had a blast!

Some visitors mentioned that you have to book a guided tour. Well, this is the case in almost all of Porto's sights (even in a bookshop), and the price for the almost two-hour tour is absolutely reasonable. Casa da Musica is monumental, imposing and a bright example of "out of the box thinking" by redefining the relationship between the hallowed interior and the general public outside. Its skin of shining white concrete is folded into a prismatic wrap, the Grand Auditorium with corrugated glass facades opens the hall to the city of Porto, while the glass itself ripples in waves to break up the surface for acoustic reasons. There is also a smaller performance space, some rehearsal rooms, recording studios, an educational area, a restaurant, a terrace, a room for children, some bars, a VIP room ....A continuous public route connects those spaces by stairs, platforms, and escalators. To visit Casa da Musica resembles a journey through a world of musical and architectural visions.

Amazing experience! I saw Carmen performed by the Porto Symphony Orchestra, and it was truly beautiful. The theater is absolutely gorgeous with lots of natural light and comfortable velvet seats. If you can see a show here, definitely do it!

It is an amazing place. There was a very interesting event when we visited. Young people were playing piano at each corner of the building. And they were really talented. It was a very good experience to listen them. Thank you!

One of the most impressive concert halls I've ever seen. I recommend visiting it with a guide - they will reveal all the secrets and provide you with rich knowledge. I plan to come back to this place and attend a concert there (I'm sure it will be impressive!)

I haven’t attended any event but I have been inside and outside of the place. It is very nice guiding with outside space where you can just chill during sunny days. Inside there is coffee shop with very good prices and free very fast internet. Recommended for a day of remote work or coffee break.

Caught a last minute symphony concert here. What a treat. Porto is lucky to have such a venue in the city. And prices were great compared to many other venues we have been to.

Worthy rich experience at one of the most sophisticated projects of OMA architecture. The project represents a concert house, where many concerts and other tourists tours take place. OMA Architects, and in particular Rem Koolhaas, have created a remarkable stunning landmark in Porto. Absolutely worthy to be further recommended and considered to be visited during your stay at port. Make sure to check whether the entire building is open for visitors or not because there are certain visiting times. The building represents a master piece for high architectural value. I would love to visit the project again! The reception staff were extremely rough and rigged to us, I wished they were more friendly, especially they expect visitors from around the world and they must give a good impression, as long the place represents a touristic attraction point.

The famous building designed by Rem Koolhaas disappointed me when I went to a concert there. Unfortunately, the building is not as beautiful as it is portrayed in photographs; I thought it was a major architectural failure. There is no attention to detail, just a superficial mass. The interior design lacks guidance on where to go upon entry... The coldness of metal in the corridors... The metallic elements on the stage that do not harmonize with the rest of the concert hall... There were so many things that caught my eye, I couldn't believe it. Let's say some of these are aesthetic preferences. The most glaring example you notice upon entering is whether there is a store area or not is unclear. You can only glance at the products from a distance. It's so impractical. I especially invite Koolhass to spend five minutes in front of one of the toilets here. I saw two kids struggling to open that heavy and unnecessary toilet door! For example, a toilet door that someone needs to open for children, and one that people have to exert unnecessary force to open, is a great architectural failure in my opinion! The use of the area around the building is also far from what is presented in the photographs. I would say the skateboarders make good use of it, but they also complain about the meaningless indentations! :) I'll give it a slightly high rating because the staff were professional and courteous. Our concert experience was generally good. It's a place to go for the music, but don't expect much from the building.

We didn’t come here for a concert, but the guided tour was very nice! It was a great experience to see all the hidden parts of the Casa da Música and the history behind it.

Marvelous architecture and inviting spaces abound, though some staff seemed less enthusiastic about providing information. The cafeteria offered a pleasant experience, while outside, expansive curved slabs catered to skaters. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, hindering the full exploration of the building's interior. Nonetheless, it remains a haven for architecture enthusiasts to appreciate its early 2000s design while enjoying a coffee or working on their computers.

An architectural gem full of surprises. Each corner, surface and space serves a purpose / group of people. And of course, an enjoyable building to photograph. A much more tranquil place than I was anticipating; skaters providing the percussion for the dampened hum of the orchestra.

Really awesome building. Recommended before 11 or 16 so you can enjoy a guide visit. Even without the visit, building and park all around is really nice to see. You can see a lot of kids doing skateboard, playing music or just enjoying life.

Overrated, try once at most. Super short journey and the views are okay, they look better from the stairs. The price is 2.5€ which is a bit overpriced for what you're getting (1 minute trip, long wait time and mediocre trip up). The staff is very dry to you, they take no card and speak only Portuguese to you and was not even trying to help you out to understand. Like I said, try once at most if you are visiting. Or if you absolutely cannot walk the stairs. I will be taking the stairs everytime.

Wow this thing is awesome! We rode it from the bottom to the top at night after dinner. It’s brief but it’s cheap and so scenic! Can’t miss this.

I was in Porto from March 31 until 3 of April and it was closed . You can walk around the center of Porto just fine , but you are going to need a massage after that.

Short funicular ride. Expensive when compared to the cable car on the other side of the river. We only got it one way - down. The views were pretty great and it almost felt like a roller coaster for a second but it goes slowly. Note they only take exact change for the tickets.

Very nice stadium located in the city. Very easy to reach by any type of transport. The stadium is 5 stars in terms of infrastructure and has the top advanced criteria required by FIFA. The surroundings also have everything you need to features the events inside stadium. The atmosphere is one of the best in the world, inside and outside the stadium! The spirit of the city for this club is amazing! Long live FC Porto, probably the best team in the world 🐉

Great atmosphere, brilliant stadium. Cheap food and drinks. But: Needs more toilets - the queues are a joke! And the security checks need improvements - the away fans got in with fireworks which they were letting off.

What an amazing experience. Highlight of my trip to Portugal so far. If you have the chance, do not miss the opportunity to see a game! You will not regret it. The energy in this stadium was something I’d never seen in North American sports.

Nice stadium and nice guides. I visited other stadiums in Portugal and liked this the best. The stadium seemed smaller than Alvalade stadium even though they have the same capacity. It might be because the seats are a lot closer to the pitch. The locker room is full of perks such as jacuzzi despite being for the away team.

It's a great stadium, a amazing fan, an exciting match and a full stadium choreography… The Porto-Arsenal match was great. I watched to the atmosphere and listened the fan songs with pleasure. It is very pleasant to watch the match in this stadium. 49.000 people watched the match and we did a choreography together. Easy access to the stadium. The toilets and service areas are pretty good. Thank you dragons! You deserve this victory. It’s good to watch you at champions league.

Definitely the best stadium in Portugal. Has a car park around, easy and direct underground access, the shopping centre is 1m away and very well organised and easy to get in and out. Stadium is covered,totally safe and well maintained. To watch one of the best teams in Europe called FC Porto here that's the place.

Mind blowing experience. Enjoyed visiting f c porto stadium and museum. It was simply a great and memorable moments. Ticket price is bit high,but we git reduction using porto card. Guide was cool and did a perfect tour with us. Must visit place during your trip to porto.

Very cool experience. The guard at the entrance was super nice and very helpful. Didn't allow me to enter with my water bottle, had to leave it outside to pick it up leaving the arena.

An experience I do not plan to repeat. It is ok but lack of facilities and poorly organised. Not impressed and it is a shame - big trophies but cheap club. The staff not really friendly or helpful - exception the girls selling the tickets. The schedule from the site and the one running on the screens inside the reception not the one they follow. Easy to get there by Porto Metro. I gave up on the museum visit even if I paid and I was quite willing to do it. The air was unbreathable, crowded, no indications, no support from the crew The store is quite pricey and nothing to reflect the great names from the club's history anyway. If you want just a t-shirt and a keyring you better go to Forca Portugal in town. The tour organised in a way you have to climb a lot of stairs, not really accessible for people with disabilities. You get ready exhausted on the way. Not allowed to visit the Porto locker room - just athe away one which has no meaning. You cross the parking several times and really you find yourself in front of the cars. You get a nice and good view of the club's bins/rubbish too.

Amazing and highly immersive stadium tour experience alongside the museum which is very well presented; both are completely accessible to English speakers. Bear in mind the home team dressing room is not available to visit as in other stadium tours, although a 360º view is available via their app. There were occasions both in the stadium tour and at the start of the museum where you could get your photo taken, which you could view and buy at the end of the museum, with the price being €15 for one of them and €30 for all of them. However this is not necessary at all should you wish to avoid this and you can take all your own photos throughout. Altogether a brilliant experience and would recommend to anyone!

This stadium is pristine and modern with relatively quick entry for away fans. First issue however is there’s no alcohol served in the stadium for away fans at all which I find ridiculous. And secondly they held us back for over an hour not letting us out the stadium which again I find ridiculous. Other than that friendly staff and home fans you’ll have no trouble.

Big, great, atmosphere fantastic. Museum big and a lots to see. Starts a little bit boring, but later, its worth for sure a visit. Only flow, that can be hold because of the infrastructure. Don't go in t-shirt if its not summer 😀 Metro close by, and shop inside the stadium.

Great atmosphere, and everything is well organized. You can come with your family or buddies. The reason for the 3-star review is the food. Food is just awful, so make sure you eat somewhere else before coming. You will not find anything else besides cold sandwiches and pop corn.

A great stadium 🏟️ with a immersive and interactive museum which is then followed by the stadium tour, which includes the pitch side walk, dressing room, press room and owners box visits. This all ends in the stadium club shop. The guides were very helpful.

One of the best worldwide football club and them best place to visit in Porto, Portugal.

During my recent visit to Porto,I decided to pay a visit to the FC Porto museum. I'm actually not really a football fan. However, I thought it would be interesting to visit the stadium. I prebooked my tickets via a booking app,which is cheaper than paying at the gate. Regarding the museum, there are lots of interesting memorabilia and exhibits. I personally think the lighting inside the museum is way too dark. It's so dark you can't really see the exhibits properly and you can't take good photos because it is so dark. And you're not allowed to use a flash. I spent about an hour looking around. I wouldn't go there again as the poor lighting spoils the experience. The gift shop is really expensive too. I didn't buy anything and I don't think there's a café as I didn't see one.

The garden is big and beautiful. It offers great views from above and it has many spots to chill and enjoy the nature. There is a playground available for kids as well. And I believe it is a very kid friendly with all the chickens and peacocks around is just so much fun. As I said the garden is big and it might be a bit tricky for those who are not used to steep pathways and lots of stairs. I also booked a ticket to visit the building with a tour guide for around an hour. Where you get to know about the history of the building and they you will be guided to take 200 steps to the top of the building for 360 view on the beautiful city.

Gorgeous large park with stunning views of Porto! A ton to see and walk around to wonder with lakes, workout, and playing areas. And an abundance of photo taking areas overlooking the River. Not to mention the multiple clusters of tulips that are incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend for tourists.

Definitely worth visiting , Porto sign the is guide tour that allows you to go up to the roof. Beautiful garden and fountains all around . Chickens , Roosters and Peacocks walking around the park . And amazing views where you can view the whole town . Great place to take pictures. Unfortunately we come in February so there wasn’t any flowers and still looked a bit cold but to be fair it was around 18 degrees but we still enjoyed ourselves

A beautiful place to escape the hustle & bustle of the city! Many shaded walking trails, fountains and old water features to discover, spectacular views of the river, roosters, and peacocks! They charge admission to walk to the top of the dome, but it’s free to enter and explore the park. So relaxing and peaceful!

If you have kids you should definitely visit! Other than the birds there’s also beautiful gardens, statues and views of the river both ways. There’s also a nice playground! And if it’s rainy you could pop into the library which is also on the grounds. This place is amazing 🙌

This place is amazing!! Great views of the city, wonderful birds, and very well kept gardens. There are several sections and styles including a rose garden and a small church. It was really peaceful after several days exploring the city. They had chickens and peacocks which was really fun!

Nice and big space outdoors in the middle of the city. It has a nice view for the river, but you may have to walk a little bit to find a place to sit and have a picnic Lots of peacocks walking around the park, be careful if you’re afraid of birds. They are calm and don’t go after you for food. The restroom is nice and clean, you can go anytime you’re in the park

Beautiful gardens with amazing views and lots of hidden places with lots of different plants (and shadow to from the sun). Perfect place to get lost in. So much fun to explore the different terraces with their unique designs and stunning views. Very relaxing and calm.

This is surprisingly one of the best tours in Porto. Not only this is a peaceful place, with peacocks and ducks all around, but it has the best view of Douro's river and Ribeira Pier from a high ground. This is the place that makes you love Porto even more.

Nice clean park with lots of chickens, peacocks, geese, and doves. Also offers a great view of the city and the bridges. The different smaller gardens aren't that impressive in November, obviously, but it's still a nice place to have a walk. Also has clean public restrooms.

Right in the city centre this popular green space with its tree -lined paths, tranquil ponds, colourful flora and fauna and also patchwork of small different themed gardens carved into the hillside offer some of the best views of the city and the river Douro. Impressive iron dome of Pavilion Rosa Mota dominates the main entrance to the park and is one of the main venues for many important sporting events, exhibitions and concerts. There is also library and café here. Children playground and fitness facilities are a bonus. Great escape from the city bustle. Wandering peacocks are the stars here. Wonderful place to have a picnic as well as to meditate. God, bless Nature!

This is the prettiest park ever. Porto has amazing parks but this is so wonderful. The flowers and the birds make this 10x more prettier.

It is a beautiful set of gardens with equally amazing views over the city. Not too busy and not too overrun by tourists (in March). Very relaxed place to enjoy some peace and quiet in the city. Definitely worth a visit.

This garden and park is so beautiful and a great place to walk around, enjoy the sights of the city and the nature that Portugal has to offer. We came in early March and things were starting to flower and get a bit more green - I can imagine it’s very beautiful mid to late spring and summer. There are free roaming peacocks, geese, ducks, roosters and chickens here. Very docile and beautiful to see! There are also beautiful views of Porto, overlooking the water. Highly recommend!

Really beautiful views of the river and city! The flowers, trees, shrubs and birds made for a pleasant stroll as well. My wife and I decided to swing by it in between other things and I'm so glad we did!

Beautiful public gardens with excellent viewpoints over Douro river. These are not real botanical gardens, so set your expectations accordingly. Access is only from R. De Dom Manuel II. I’m mentioning it because I was expecting some sort of exit along Rua da Restauracao close to Jardim dos Sentimentos. Free roaming peacocks and roosters are adding charm to the gardens.

Lovely market in a convenient location in the middle of Porto. It's mainly food products like meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, baked goods, fruit, sweets and some souvenirs. It's aimed at tourists but there is nothing wrong with that and there are many locals who shop there as well. All the products are top quality and very nicely arranged. The prices are similar to what you will find elsewhere in Porto. The sellers are very friendly and most of them speak English so it's easier to shop. The market has gone through extensive renovations and it looks beautiful. This is a great place to shop and to come and sample some of the great food that this city has to offer.

For a fun informal lunch, do consider coming here. You can pick up cheeses, meats, tapas, fruit and all sorts of local delicacies and fresh foods, all available to be eaten here, or taken home to enjoy later. This also includes a nice wine, beer, port or freshly made juice. Grab some food, wander the stalls and pick up few bargains. P.s. Did I mention it is the cleanest markets I’ve ever been to? High recommend for any visitor to Porto!

Very authentic and beautiful market with extremely nice and friendly locals. We had breakfast there and it was way better, fresh and lovely then the best restaurants and cafes in town. Recommended for sure if you’re in the area.

Really nice place! Get your wine, or Sangria from the bar and start browsing and tasting all the goodies this market can offer. Cheese, ham, oysters, bread, olives and so on! Went there twice during two days visit in Porto, absolutely loved it.

Small and clean market! I really enjoyed the fruits and juice here! There are also shops where you can enjoy pasta made on the spot with cheese, or a glass of wine with simple food.

The orginal place is closed for renovation. The market is moved to La Vie mall (where decathlon is). Market is clean. There are stalls for dry food, fruits, fresh seafood, frozen seafood, flowers and also some eating stalls. Check out the variety of nuts and dried preserved fruits, cheap & good!

If you do that (and also bring your patience; it always seems pretty busy), you’re likely to really enjoy it. Def a great place for a light lunch or to try cheeses, wines, sardines and etc!

Go hungry so you can enjoy some of the food and drinks on offer. Exploring the market, chatting to friendly store owners and sampling the food on offer is an incredible experience and one we will repeat when next we are in Porto.
