An amazing place to visit and won't break the bank. The entrance is very welcoming. Very open and modern with lots of information on offer and no extra mandatory charge for it, like some cathedrals. You can wander around freely or go on a tour. I chose to walk freely but would recommend a tour if you would like more info or at least picking up some of their booklets. The buildings themselves and grounds are very well kept and are nice to walk around. I am glad this cathedral is being looked after. The upstairs is accessible with a lift where the cafe/toilets and library are situated. I was lucky enough to visit their library on a day where they were allowing visitors to view their older books. This for me was an incredible experience and I am grateful to have seen the incredible volume of books they care for. I did have to park a little bit away but Norwich does have a good amount of parking about, and its the only thing you would have to pay for in this trip.

A must see. Upon entry you are greeted by staff who give you a guide and explain a few things. No entry fee however there is a voluntary donation desk if you wish to donate. Donation is greatly received and appreciated. Inside the Cathedral there is lots to see with beautiful art work and architecture. Soak in the peaceful atmosphere and view the beautiful glass stained windows. There are guided tours. gift shop, cafe and toilets.

A very beautiful cathedral. The cathedral is the seat of the bishop of Norwich and the mother church of the diocese of Norwich. It is located in the heart of the city so I recommend anyone who goes to Norwich to visit. Entrance is free and it is pet friendly as well. The staff is also very helpful and inform you by answering all your questions sincerely.

Beautiful cathedral which has a free entry although they do request for a donation at the second entrance (min £5). The shop has a lot of nice items too. Unfortunately, the toilets are closed here so ensure you empty your bowels before hand.

Lovely visit to Norwich cathedral with a primary school group. Informative guides and interactive stained glass activities with the children. The cathedral is clean, tidy and well looked after. Cashless cafe.

A must see on your to do list if visiting Norwich. We visited around 2.30pm on a Sunday in December. We were welcomed by a very friendly, bubbly, informative lady at the entrance. Entrance is free but if you can give a donation it all helps to keep this incredible building in the remarkable condition it is. We listened to the organ playing whilst taking in the breathtaking stained glass windows, incredible architecture (remember to look up) and the history. Pausing to light candles in remembrance of others and for peace. Sitting for a few moments of prayer and contemplation. There is a wonderful cafe attached to the side of the cathedral, scrumptious cakes, scones, rolls, pastries, mince pies; eat in or take out. We sat and had a delicious cup of earl grey and a nibble of naughtiness. Would highly recommend to all.

Phenomenal is the only word for it. It is free to visit and Dogs are allowed, which is rare. The building is HUGE, with so many Chapels within it. The whole building is beautiful and so well maintained. Allow two hours to see it properly. There is a Cafe on the upper level too.

OUTSTANDING The best religious building I've been in by far. The history is fascinating. If you get the chance to do a guided tour then you must, there knowledge is amazing. Loved everything about this Cathedral.

Really lovely cathedral right in the middle of Norwich, in walking distance of the train station. I only popped in for a quick visit so really didn't get the full experience. I'd love to come back and invest a bit more time as there's so much to look at and so much history to learn about. I recommend giving yourself a couple of hours if you really want to explore everything, however it's still worth going in if you only have a little bit of time.

Very impressive cathedral, amazed it was free to visit! I particularly enjoyed the treasury and seeing the painted brickwork up close, many people don't know that these historic buildings were painted when they were first built, that paint has largely faded over the centuries.

Incredible 900 year old building, absolutely huge and stunningly beautiful. Spent well over an hour here because there was just so much to see. Can visit for free or make a donation. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. One of the best cathedrals I've ever been to.

Love this cathedral. Love the grounds and building. You can light candles and give prayer requests. It's donation only and walkable to the main city as it's the bottle m end of the city. Your surrounded by plenty of places to eat . If Norwich is new to you, Riverside has gravity / the Odeon a/ swimming and bowling etc and the main centre has most stores and some quaint side streets. The assembly house is an amazing place for a treat afternoon tea and an amazing building in itself.

Just not enough time to explore this amazing building, it's actually really big and the courtyard reminds me of something from Harry Potter or X Men. You have to come here with 2-3 hours to appreciate. Also wrap up as it's cold in here too!

The cathedral is nice. The staff very welcoming and friendly. Lovely place to relax if you need to quiet your mind. What's really lovely though is the surrounding area. The most beutiful chocolate box houses you've ever seen

It is a fantastic building worth exploring if you are in Norwich. Some lovely stained glass windows are framed by the architecture, and the craftsmanship is incredible. Free to explore and see what the building has to offer. There is a cafe, toilets and a gift shop and a labyrinth in the cloister. I visited late in the day so the cafe and shop were closed along with the exhibition but reason to visit again one day

I absolutely loved our visit to Norwich Cathedral. They have super helpful volunteers on the door that are extremely nice and make you feel really welcome. We joined a free tour which was superb, it lasted just over an hour and I could have listened to the guide all day. The architecture was simply stunning and the information that the guide conveyed brought the history of the cathedral to life. I loved the carvings of the Green Men dotted all over the place. Entry was free (as it should be for a place of worship) but I was more than happy to make a donation to this wonderful place.

Really nice visit, even though I am local and seen it all before....you can't fail to be impressed by the beautiful architecture of this magnificent building, the sheer scale of it is incredible. My young son really enjoyed looking around which was somewhat surprising as it's not really something you would think children would enjoy.......it's the school holidays & IT'S ALWAYS RAINING !!!! so give me marks for being creative!!! the resident cathedral cat helped my cause & obviously the cafe who is powered by BREAD SOURCE so always gonna be a winner!! Although the gift shop is seriously lacking ...although really busy with customers even my 5 year old couldn't find anything he wanted...that means it is REALLY BAD.... should collaborate with Jarrolds to stock it. Two Norwich icons together would be great to see.

Beautiful cathedral with so much history to see. Free to enter, but I would suggest a good donation as it’s such a nice day out. Really dog friendly, except the cafe, but there are plenty of dog friendly places to eat in Norwich. The staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable.

Loved visiting Norwich Cathedral. For starters, entry is free which can be a big help to larger groups and families. The Cathedral is kept in excellent condition and most areas were accesable. The staff are very friendly and the Cathedral also offer free tours around. It was really good to walk around and enjoy all the sights of the Cathedral. Overall a good experience and the atmosphere was excellent. 👍😁

A must place to visit, This beautiful church has so much to see.Its free to get in but donations are appreciated. I had a guided tour which is free and I recommend it, With the Gentleman tour guide so knowledgeable, and so enthusiastic, The artitecture of the cathedral is stunning, Everywhere you look from the floor to the ceiling it's just a work of art. The guide showed us Graffiti markings on some of the walls that was put there by some of the stonemasons..There is a cafe and toliets on site as well..

Stunning architectural building made many of our group feel so emotional. To think it took 50 years to construct is truly amazing especially considering it dates back to 1096. Our son took part in being a chorister for a day last Saturday. It was so special and something we will always remember. The staff were so committed and passionate. It was a real privilege. Definitely recommend the shop, too. Lots of lovely bits and pieces to buy for presents or keep sakes to remember the day, reasonably priced and good quality. We give 5*

First time seeing this kind of castle, and it's own unique designs (to be honest) i like the shapes of this castle. You can explore whole castle and it's art galleries 2in1 but for this year 2023 the castle staff said the castle is close/not working and you cannot explore visit, because it's under reconstruction works... so. But all in all nice place to visit and explore. If you guys will be visiting Norwich this castle it's one of the popular places of this unique and beautiful City. (i'll drop some additional bonus photos of all around the city places not only the castle :) ) enjoy.

The castle was being renovated but the local museum was open. It had interesting information about things including natural history, Boadicea, Romans, art, and the military. It also had a special exhibition about a local shipping disaster of the Gloucester, that was carrying the future King James II.

I took my children to see The last voyage of The Gloucester exhibition which we found very interesting. They did make us aware when we arrived there were lots of parts of the museum closed so be prepared to not see as much as you normally would as you go around. The staff we met around the museum were pleasant and helpful.The coffee shop is limited in what they serve at the same time The food they do serve is really good and the member of staff that served us was a real star, she was very welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. If you are interested in local history definitely check out The last Voyage exhibition. We did find that the lighting needs a bit of improvement in some of the cabinets especially with such small name labels. At the same time if you're not too interested in reading the names it won't be to much of a bother.

Very pleasant visit to the castle. Parts under construction but still lots to view. Coffee very nice in the cafe. Vegan food was an orange/apple/ chocolate bar. Watched a wedding party move through the museum. The exhibits are fabulous. £6.50 admission. Must view for visitors.

Castle is under construction, so only thing you have access to is the museum. The great thing is the deal for £2 if you come the hour before closing which I did. Which I think is enough time to see everything. There is natural history displays, historical, art, military, teapot collection and tapestry upstairs. They have a little souvenir shop and a cafe. I have rated the attraction as if I would of paid full price of £6.70, which I do feel is a bit expensive for what is there. There is reductions for family groups. All staff were very friendly, and I did love the adopt the artefact initiative which I thought was very novel. Would visit again when the construction has finished on the castle which is the main attraction.

For the cost of just over £7 the museum exhibit is both well put together and very informative with plenty of activities for kids. The historic items span from the roman times all the way to modern day which makes things more interesting also. It's well worth a visit and is an enjoyable place with very friendly staff.

The castle itself was closed for some heavy-duty building works when I visited, but the galleries were open. A fascinating display of artifacts from the wreck of the 'Gloucester', along with a history of the event. Some lovely art galleries and even one devoted to teapots! Worth combining with the ciity museum.

Didn't expect so much taxidermy. Lots to see and do, as long as you like stuffed dead animals. The dungeons were unfortunately closed due to building works, so we just saw the museum. Well kept and managed.

Wonderfull place to visit with kids. All family enjoyed exploring the history of Norwich and Norfolk. Great expo of ancient relics, coins, pictures etc. Worth mentioning huge section of teapots (hundreds!). Two thumbs up!

Nice museum with lots of things to see there is a salary of iceni tribe and Queen boudicca and her roman conquest . Natural history museum was lots of taxidermy specimen and there were another galary about the norwitch regime had a nice Caffè and shop there is no parking at the castle must use the park and drive unfortunately the castle is on a restoration project so is not opened willing to visit another time to dog in to the history

Lovely Museum, despite the castle area being under refurbishment. Similar to another big museum in my home city Oxford. Minus 1 star because the toilets are in two different ends of the building for Male and Female which meant it was difficult to find, this could be due to the refurbishment, so did not cause us too much trouble! We got a free entry ticket to their other museum, on the other side of the city too!

What a great place to visit! We came to see the Gloucester exhibition. We were greeted by Matthew who directed us to the ticket office The exhibition was fab! So informative and interesting, the staff were so invested in the subject and really friendly. Well worth a visit

Norwich castle is very good and is lots of fun.. Even though a few parts of castle were/are closed for renovation work, there is still enough to see. The lower admission fees are very fair.

It’s a pretty decent museum and has some interesting exhibits and art throughout. Norwich Castle has some amazing history as well as being the museum it is today. Unfortunately right now it is under construction so many exhibits you can temporarily not enter, but this does not stop you from having a good experience. There is amazing paintings and sculptures throughout, taxidermy animals, fossils, areas about Egyptians, Romans and more; and a nice gift shop. A nice touch is that students enter for free, so this is a great place for students to come if they are looking for something to do in Norwich for the day. Highly recommend.

Not recommend going to the museum, the castle is closed. It is half natural history museum, half Norwich history museum. It costs me 7£for a student ticket, I prefer a pint in Norwich, prefer to sit outside the castle rather paying and going inside the museum

It's a big place Sadly it was under renovations when we got here but there was still a lot to see. Had a coffee and scones which was lovely. Kids friendly, my kids enjoyed it.

Great day out, however the castle is still undergoing some refurbishment and looks like there is a long way to go yet before it's complete. Would highly recomend a visit.

Would have liked to have visited the Castle but it was under total re-building and renovation so just walked around. Maybe I will come back again when the works have been completed.

It a beautiful place and quiet extraordinary. We'll worth a visit. I took my 4 year old and was surprised out how much she liked it.

One of the best National Trust (or other historic) houses that I've visited. The gardens in late June were spectacular: the main garden is basically a very large walled garden, that's divided into about 5 or 6 sections, which makes for a really interesting visit. There is also a "nuttery" - the first I have ever seen, with a variety of different nut trees and also some bee hives to see. The house has lots of rooms to explore and there were plenty of guides on hand to answer questions. We had a decent lunch in the cafe.

We went to see the lambs on the farm this weekend. I had never been before. It was a fantastic experience. The farm is only open this weekend and they had trail for children with various activities at each point, which was brilliant for all the family to join in and have a good walk in the fresh air. We had lunch in the cafe and this was excellent and homemade. What really stood out to us was that every member of staff or volunteers were so helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming.

We started in the gardens, but it's a bit early in the year for lots of flowers, still enjoyable but would be nice to return in the summer. The house was really lovely and the history is amazing. It was a nice touch that there was a pianist there when we arrived, I'm not sure if this is always the case. Certainly worth a visit though!

What an amazing place. We spent half the day walking the very impressive grounds and the second half, inside the manor. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by original artworks, all the furniture, books and wall decor. This manor captivates what it was like living as an upper class citizen through the seventeenth century. Worth the visit.

Great place to walk around - a woodland walk or a lakeside walk. We did both, which took just over an hour and a half. There is plenty of wildlife to spot on the walk. We will definitely go back to explore the walled gardens and the actual hall itself.

Enjoyed a day out at Felbrigg estate. This national trust site has a stunning walled garden with hundreds species of plants including flowers, fruit trees and vegetables, truly impressive! The Felbrigg hall itself is a historical Manor House, well maintained however wheel chairs or push chairs may not access the first floor conveniently as this old building is without a lift. Lots of picnic areas, toilets are clean but I don’t see any children’s playground. There is a gift shops, a second hand book shop and a cafe with lots of tables outside. Plenty of walking areas.

We went to the lake recently and that was lush. You feel surrounded by nature. Parking is free for national trust members. The old building has a lot of stories to tell. There is a cafe, toilets and book shop. Is as good as Blickling Hall 😍

A beautiful hall with plenty of rooms to explore, Felbrigg Hall and gardens is definitely worth visiting. When I visited the grounds opened at 10am, however the hall was not open until 12pm. There is a cafe, secondhand bookshop and a gift shop to browse if you are waiting for the hall to open. The walled gardens are beautiful, with fruit and vegetables growing around the grounds as well as rooting hens and a dove cot. If you want to go on a longer walk, there is also plenty of land to explore, with walking and cycling trails signposted around the grounds. Be aware that some rooms, mainly the bedrooms, are currently largely covered under dust sheets to protect the items. That being said, there is still plenty to see around the property.

This is a lovely NT property. The house is fascinating, the guides are knowledgeable and everything is beautifully preserved and presented. There's the biggest and most extensively planted walled garden I've ever visited, the doves and chickens strutting about the place are great to see. The grounds are extensive, we did the walk around the church and ice house. This is National Trust at its best.

Love this place been a couple of times as a National Trust member. Stunning woodlands, church, and lots to see in the walled garden, food was delicious. Definitely worth a day out! Highly recommend!

One of my favourites, oddly as I'd never heard of this place! Loved everything about the property & its incredible grounds. I enjoyed it more than the Royal homes I've visited. The staff are full of knowledge that they volunteer as you walk around. A few surprises along the way too! I'd highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful grounds and gardens, ample parking and interesting house to visit. Coffee shop and bookshop on site and large clean toilet facilities. The walled garden is incredible and there are various walks you can take around the estate. Plenty of places to picnic if the weather allows. Well worth a visit, even just for the views.

Had a lovely day wandering the gardens. Good parking. Food is standard NT - so good but a tad on the expensive side. Don't get caught by the V walk. It doesn't start and end at the same spot (which is obvious I suppose from the V) and there is a bit of a walk back to the start point. Fine for us, but could be less so for less mobile persons.

Great visit. The house was decked out in Christmas splendour with a special Wolves of Wild Wood Hall trail. Cafe was great, sausage baps, tea & a Christmas special coffee. Found a coupe of books we were looking for in the 2nd hand bookstore and finished off with a lovely countryside walk. NT staff wonderful as always. Great place. Note: The car park machine does not scan the Scottish NT membership card but having to Scottish NT sticker on your windshield is sufficient to get free parking.

A lovely house full of interesting antiques, several cabinets were open for our visit so you could see inside. Knowledgeable volunteers as always and a great outside area for eating. NT do tearooms let's face it! There's a lovely old parkland, a church and woods to explore. The walled garden was especially stunning with a riot of colour, huge pumpkins and chickens and doves roaming freely. Loads of space to explore. Well worth a visit. The orangery is currently closed, the icehouse full of bats, and work happening around the lake, but conservation does require such intervention.

Fantastic place as expected from a NT property. We had a fabulous trip around the woodland route today in lovely autumn sunshine. Parking is easy and right where you need it to be and totally accessible as are most of the walks , All surface Mobility scooters are available to her but you need to pre book them as they are limited , cost of hire is by donation . Tea room was open as was the courtyard shop and toilet facilities.

Spent a wonderful couple of hours in the grounds and the gardens, having walked through the fields and woods from Cromer (about 3.5 miles). The best cheese scones and coffee for miles around, so well worth the trek, as always!! The walled gardens are glorious, with companion planting of flowers and vegetables, chickens pecking around, the octagonal dovecote, and heavy-laden fruit trees. A perfect visit.

We had a lovely walk here, despite the rain. We came in Autumn, when the forest looked really nice. We did the 4.5 mile route, although there were works going on so had to divert and not go around the lake. Not really a problem. We had our dog with us, there are on and off lead areas along the walk. Will definitely be back in the Spring (we visited from our caravan). Parking £5 all day for non members.

Absolutely lovely place. Makes for a great day out with plenty to do and see. The house is amazing and the walled garden is phenomenal. Nice cafe and shop. Staff and volunteers make visitors feel very welcome indeed. There are also a number of scenic walks on the estate. A real National Trust gem!

Well done to the staff and volunteers at Felbigg for the wonderful Christmas display. The Wild Wolves of Felbigg was brilliant especially the graphics that were designed in house...for me, this was far better than some lavish outsourced event and we look forward to next year.

The walled gardens are very impressive and I found the staff working in the house to be interesting, knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant was very busy and not quite to my taste. the shop is small but with very helpful staff. Some of the trees are quite stunning.

Norfolk Broads in England is a picturesque area with navigable rivers, lakes, and natural landscapes. Popular for boating, fishing, birdwatching, and cycling, it offers an oasis of tranquility and biodiversity. With quaint villages and rural charm, it attracts nature enthusiasts and adventure-seeking tourists.

Amazing time on the broads. Would highly recommend to any that wants a boating holiday. We enjoyed it that much we have already booked to go back next year!

Amazing holiday destination. Our fourth time here exploring by boat and always something new to see and do. Loads of wildlife but also very dog and family friendly. Don't hesitate to go on a boating holiday in this area!

Went on a boating holiday on the Northern Broads. Beautiful landscapes, serene places, the rivers are a wonderful place to see birdlife, and the Norfolk windmills (many unfortunately in poor state) dot the landscape and add charm. Despite the villages on the river being close to one another via road, on a boat it seemed that a person was travelling a long time to get from one place to another, so the boating trips become little adventures where passengers are forced to focus on nature and the surrounding landscape. Weather was predicted to be bad but were fortunate to have plenty of days of sunshine with periods of concentrated downpours. A place to enjoy the water and the peacefulness. The downsides are that it can get a bit boring for those who choose to explore via the river, because it takes very long to cover relatively short distances, finding mooring spots can be a nightmare and often one is unable to visit or get off the boat for lack of mooring berths, and the need to find water and pump-out toilet stations is a constant planning headache.

Love the boat ride on Horsey Mere by Ross Wildlife boat trips, a very knowledgeable and entertaining captain. In the peaceful channels of the reed edged waterways we saw many of the mentioned species like the Swallowtail Butterfly, Marsh Harrier, Sedge Warblers, Avocet and a Heron. Well worth a visit.

The tourists attraction at The broads is good.self drive boats, guided tours and accommodations on water boats is unique to this place. But the drive route is not great no dual carriage way or motor way. Mostly country roads with single line.

A Broads boating holiday is a fantastic opportunity to get away from it all on the tranquil waterways of rural Norfolk, stopping at remote spots or pretty villages. Relaxing, peaceful, perfect!

30-03-24 to 31-03-24 - spent a couple of days on the Norfolk Broads with family & friends on a boat 🛥️ This kind of break is ideal for having a real lazy one & also stopping off at reasonably expensive food venues. Photographers will enjoy getting some snaps around this scenic area & there is also plenty of wildlife around too.

Peaceful and beautiful and full of wildlife. A great relaxing place for a boating Holiday. Plan ahead to guaruntee you can get a mooring or have an adventure and see where the river takes you. Visiting in March before the season really starts does mean limited mooring spots due to most boatyards not operating,but we have had spectacular weather and as long as you plan your journeys its very enjoyable and alot quieter on the water.

If you haven't done a boating holiday on the Norfolk broads please consider it, what a beautiful part of our country. The peace and tranquility and stunning scenery, including seeing wonderful wildlife such as kingfishers, baby deer, even an otter. Will definatley return.

Beautiful place to visit. Went on a five day boating trip with friends. Sunny with a cold wind in late April, so didn't spend as much time on the top deck as we'd have liked. Very pretty. Imagine that when the trees have all their leaves in summer that it will be even prettier. We worth a visit for a relaxing holiday.

Didn't go to the good bits Great Yarmouth is brilliant just like the set of the last picture show A warming fading decayed charm with shell shocked stall owners all wondering how did it come to this And thinking it's not so bad this decline

The Broads, known as the Broads National Park since 2015 is a network of mostly navigable rivers and lakes in Norfolk and Suffolk. They were formed by the flooding of peat workings that were dug in medieval times and cover an area of some 303 square kilometres, most of which is in Norfolk, with over 200 kilometres of navigable waterways. There are seven rivers and 63 broads, mostly less than 4 metres deep. Thirteen broads are generally open to navigation, with a further three having navigable channels. The Broads is full of history with abbeys and churches, windmills, boathouses and wherries (a unique type of sailing boat which was used as cargo and passenger ship) together with some amazing homes. The Broads is Britian’s largest protected wetland and conservation is hugely significant to the biodiversity of the UK. Wildlife is everywhere with regular sightings of geese, swans, kingfishers and herons to name a few. An amazing place to visit, once will not be enough.

Perfect boating holiday, beautiful scenery, stunning wildlife and gorgeous places to moor-up with dog-friendly pubs.

Beautiful location. Great selection of wildlife to see from otters and water voles through to marsh harriers and even an osprey if you're lucky. Worth doing on a boat, relaxing and fun. Great selection of local pubs close by and moorings available pretty much everywhere.

Very enjoyable day out. Lovely gardens and good tea shop. Would be handy to have a leaflet with a map rather have to buy the guide book but wandering around discovering different gardens is still a pleasure.

Absolutely stunningly beautiful, definitely worth the visit. Wonderful to see the pictures of how the garden was created and throughout the years. Tea room had many tasty delights and a very comfy room with a wood burner fire

Really impressed with all the gardens - everywhere! 32 Acres is a very big area, and I'm afraid we didn't cover it all.. Really well planned and executed, some wonderful plants, all seemingly in the right environment for them! Initially thought admittance price of £11-50 a bit steep, but not once you could see just how much care and love has been poured into this lovely space!

I would have given the gardens another star but as they do not provide any maps, I did not like just randomly wandering around the grounds not knowing how the different gardens connected with each other. At times we seemed to be going through wooded areas on the outside or the outskirts of gardens and after doing a lot of walking, we would come to more formal gardens that were closer to the entrance and cafe than we thought. With a small map we could have decided on a route and we would have found other gardens easier. The gardens themselves are well worth a visit and you shouldn't miss the alpacas.

Absolutely beautiful gardens and grounds. Visited today and was just in awe, there are so many lovely garden’s beautifully designed with such pretty flowers. Staff were really nice, friendly and helpful and full of information. Lots of benches to sit down on and take in the grounds. Lovely arch walk ways and beautiful structures such as the fruit cage and water feature in the Exotic Garden. Lovely framed views of Saint Mary’s church Happisburgh and Happisburgh lighthouse. Lots of lovey plants to buy and nice tea room. Will be back in the summer.

Beautiful place to visit with walled gardens, themed gardens and a wonderful range of plants and flowers to view. The garden centre allows you to buy some of the plants you will have seen on the walk around and there is a lovely tea room with an amazing range of delicious cakes. You could get lost in your thoughts wandering around these peaceful gardens with plenty of benches to stop at to admire the views.

Wanted to come here for so long, brought the mother in law along as a birthday treat.Took my two boys as well and they really enjoyed exploring the different gardens.we picked a rainy day, but that didn't put a damper on it. We had a little treat in the tea room, which went down well. The gardens are just incredible. Loved exploring this place. There was so much to see, every corner you turned. You can tell its a well loved and looked after garden. What a fantastic hidden gem.

First time visiting , recommended by friend did not disappoint. Lovely set out gardens plenty to walk round and see. Places to sit and spend time reflecting. Interesting to round a corner and find another vista or walkway to another hidden gem. Wisterias were amazing on the pergolas and lots of gorgeous bearded iris Agave Montana has two flower spikes which are something to behold will be amazing when bloom. Loved the photographs of the progression from purchase and no garden to individual areas of garden. Small selection of plants to buy and lots of old gardening tools which are displayed , and can be purchased . Some I haven't seen for a while. Lovely cup of tea in the tea rooms and nice selection of meals and cakes. Spent a relaxing three hours here and never realised how busy it was until visited the tea rooms and saw the car park . Will definitely return later in the year to see a different range of flora

Chose to visit after hearing about the gardens from locals. If you are after a peaceful, relaxing wander this is the place. The garden is amazing with so much to explore. It's certainly worth just sitting down and taking in the sights and sounds. A great place to be mindful. Admission fee slightly expensive but would still recommend a visit if you have some spare time on your hands and you are nearby.

One beautiful day to visit beautiful gardens they are,amazing even at this early time of year plenty to look at . Nice tea room with nice staff and butternut squash soup . And the beef pasties I had were lovely and went back for a slice of cake before we left apple crumble cake hits the spot wow .

In love with this place. Only down the road from where I live, try to come every year, but only been in August time, because I love hydrangeas so much and mainly come to adore them. Obviously lots of other plants to see too. I wish they sold their tomatoes, they got so many and different ones too. Next time might bring snacks as I can easily spend all day here. Look out for opening times, shut on Monday and Tuesday. Also cafe doesn't have hot food, only cakes and filtered coffee /tea

What an absolute gem of a place. I think it's the best garden I've ever visited. The variety of plants and the different areas were incredible. Also great gluten-free cake! A must if visiting North Norfolk.. we were there in early August. So many flowers in full bloom.

Best garden we've been to! Lots to see, liked that you can just keep wandering and finding another little gem, no set route, just walk, sit, enjoy, and repeat. So many different varieties of plants, shrubs, trees. The water feature is fantastic! Good choice in cafe, had lunch first, walked around the gardens and then tea and cake afterwards.

I recently visited the Norwich Theatre Royal before attending Stage Two, and my overall experience was quite enjoyable. Upon entering, I decided to grab a drink, but the prices were steep. Paying eight pounds for a glass of rose wine and a bottle of Coke seemed a bit excessive to me. Nonetheless, I proceeded upstairs and was pleased to find many available seats. One of the highlights of my visit was the exceptional staff at the Norwich Theatre Royal. I encountered numerous outstanding team members eager to assist and provide excellent customer service. Even during busy periods, there was always someone available to lend a helping hand. This level of attentiveness and dedication added to the overall friendly atmosphere of the theatre. I must say, the overall experience left me wishing I were a resident of Norwich. The city itself is a beautiful place, and it particularly shines in its theatrical offerings. The Norwich Theatre Royal seems to be a hub for entertainment and cultural experiences, and I could feel the vibrant energy in the air. It's truly a remarkable destination for theatre enthusiasts. In conclusion, although I found the drink prices higher, the Norwich Theatre Royal provided an enjoyable experience. The abundance of available seats, coupled with the friendly atmosphere and exceptional staff, made for a memorable visit. Norwich is a city that truly embraces the arts, and the theatre scene is undoubtedly a highlight. Great entertainment - came for panto 03.01.2022 and was not disappointed. Very modern building inside which was unexpected. The show was delayed for 30 mins due to a main cast member isolating but there were plenty of announcements. Programmes were £3.50, light spinners £6, light up cat ear Hairbands £4, hand clappers £2. Small bar serving drinks and a small selection of nibbles. Didn't go upstairs as didn't need to. Lots of loos. Helpful ushers. Sat in the Prelude restaurant during the delay. Not serving food/meals. Toilets and lift next to prelude restaurant.

What a beautiful theatre, have been coming since I was a kid but today was the first time I been in years. Staff were friendly and everything seemed reasonable priced. Very impressed :-)

Vision of Elvis: The band and backing singers made the show. Elvis didn't really arrive in the building. Theatre: Friendly staff, clean, warm, pretty well ventilated, no cloakrooms and limited space for coats under chairs (not unusual). If you’re over 6ft or have long legs, you will struggle with knee space unless you get the odd row which has additional legroom. Binoculars available for £1. Toilets on multiple floors. Regardless of the performance, £28 was very good value for a ticket and night out.

I always love the Theatre Royal in Norwich. The staff are brilliant and School of Rock last night was phenomenal. The only thing I'd say is, you need an Isle in the middle so we are not standing so much and moving coats and bags so often, to let people past.

It was a year ago now me and my acquaintance travelled to the Norwich Theatre Royal to see the one and only Jane McDonald. I tell you it was an experience to die for. Nothing ever will compare to the immense excitement we shared when Jane was singing ABBA tribute songs. That will be a night to remember and we hope we get to see her again 😝

Came here to see Matthew Bourne's production of Sleeping Beauty, and it was amazing. Staff were kind and attentive, which was especially appreciated as we had my grandma and her wheelchair as well. The bars were well managed, and the chairs were very comfortable. Overall a great place to see a show. Highly recommended!!

First time for me at ballet. Enjoyed the nutracker immensely. What a magical performance. I went tonight and saw jack Whitehall. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Looking forward to my next visit with friends and family. Wonderful evening's entertainment and a full house.

The shows are incredible. I just saw Sleeping Beauty with my mum and we loved it so so much, it's one of the best ones we have seen there. X

Not a very accessible review. There is a lot of steps and although there is a working lift it doesn’t access all the levels. My party still had to climb stairs, despite a mobility disability. Three members of staff tried to assist but there was nothing they could really do. I just wish when I booked the tickets I knew which seats were accessible, perhaps worth having on the booking site

Such a wonderful night! Sao Paulo Dance Company performance was excellent - great contemporary choreography, brilliant dancers, marvellous sound and light direction. As always, Theatre Royal is a proper treasure box of surprises.

We saw Grayson Perry who was brilliant & the theatre is fantastic. I was just disappointed, as a participatory evening, that the wifi wasn't sufficent to ineract with the questions asked. When it did finally let me in the app wouldn't recognise my email address! I lost too much act time fiddling around with my phone.

This theatre is AMAZING! Every time I've been the staff have been so wonderful and really helpful with accessable needs. The historic features are so lovely to see and help the experience to feel even more special. Definitely going back time and time again!

We went for Sleeping Beauty and it was extraordinary. Well written, great acting, dancing and singing. All the usual gags, but it's not panto without them. The cast performed flawlessly and we all showed our appreciation during and at the end of the show. Can't wait until next years.

Beautiful little street with so much history and surrounded by lovely old tudor buildings. Lots of interesting independent shops and art galleries. Very nice place for a stroll and bit of shopping.

This street is cute, though is really just 2 minute walk past a dozen historic buildings on a picturesque street. It's perhaps worth the 5 minute detour if visiting Norwich Cathedral but I wouldn’t make special trip.

Visited Picasso Exhibition. After a very enjoyable and affordable lunch went on the Sculpture Trail. This covered quite a large area taking us around the grounds, through the woods and along the Broad. The sculptures were varied and of all sizes using many different materials. There was even a Gormley figure on top of a building!

Really lovely place to visit if you appreciate art. The museum is quite spacious and has a variety of collections from AD till this century. The centre operates a pay what you can afford ticket service and I think that’s commendable as well. I do recommend paying a visit if you’re in Norwich.

Never enjoyed this kind of museum which gave me super calm and nice experiences! Went to two exhibitions in a row, Constructivism and Picasso’s. The general structure of the centre is beautifully designed as bringing you more installations outside. (What a great arcitecture by Norman Foster) I deffo will visit again. Worth visiting!

What a treat to visit! Some beautiful pieces especially love the 3 Chinese funeral figures and the Japanese dancers film. The bucket man was scarey kept a safe distance just in case it was a living statue. The exhibition by Stair, loved the sentiment of the pots and the written pieces of the families concerned wonderful tributes. Then the cafe reasonable and delicious food.

Incredible collection of objects from every era and every area of the planet. Free tours with knowledgeable guides and no entry fee (although donations are welcomed and deserved). Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent arts centre located in the heart of the University. Free car parking, entry price is whatever you want to pay, we paid £5 each. The main area has lots of ancient artifacts, a few paintings, and a few modern installations. They have additional installations downstairs and on the mezzanine floor. They have a small cafe and a large cafe restaurant, the large cafe serves main meals at lunchtime, otherwise coffee and cake. They also have an excellent shop. Very interesting and well worth a visit.

Fabulous eclectic collection. Lots of very old items 1000 Years plus. Really Nice exhibition space free parking lovely grounds to explore. Attached restaurant nice too. And it’s free.

We arrived on a Sunday morning, having walked up Unthank Road and through the park, golf course and University grounds, the lady on reception was very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our walk around the gallery. This is a must see collection of a very high standard. Allow a couple of hours to enjoy the main and other exhibitions. We strolled back through the park to Norwich centre.

You can see many different country's art in one place. Very beautiful place. You can get a refreshment inside and you also do some arts too.

Fairly average large art gallery. Has a weird atmosphere due to size and likeness to a warehouse and office space. Great cafes. Outdoor space is beautiful and the nearby modernist architecture is stunning. Feels more like a tax avoidance scheme rather than a cultural experience.

Been going here since I was a kid, always loved it. They've started rotating the permanent collection a bit more, which is a really good idea. The building itself is a work of art and the sculpture trail is a great addition. Pay what you can afford too for the permanent collection 👍

Amazing place to visit with the choice of your own entrance fees. Collection of many artifacts from all over the world. The architecture of the building is also impressive. Great sculptures outside of the building on display with an attractive landscape. The staff is also very cooperative. There is a facility to keep your luggage as well.

What an amazing place, hidden away on campus. Degas, Henry Moore, and much more. Spent a good 3 hours here, and still there's more. Absolutely fascinating art and sculptures. A hidden gem! The exhibition downstairs is both moving and impressive.

Loved this place within the East anglia University. The building was featured in avengers as their headquarters. Lovely collection of artifacts and a lovely collection depicting environmental challenges in the world.

Great atmosphere, with excellent exhibits. The gallery even has an interactive section with an alternate view of art, and a lovely cafe. A calming place, that is free to get in, or give a donation. We are very lucky to have the Sainsburys centre in our city, in the heart of the beautiful and brutalist UEA campus!

Amazing place and so interesting and absolutely lovely people so nice and friendly and so helpful. They know there stuff we all loved every minute. The gentleman we support in a wheelchair thought it was brilliant too. The only room that couldn't get his wheelchair in was the cold war section but they are hoping to get access there in the future. So thank you to all of you for your help and making us feel so welcome. They give really good talks which is your choice to go to but highly recommended it so much information it was brilliant.

Amazing place. Much bigger and more interesting than I thought it would be. The staff are awesome and the talks by the actual people that used to operate the radars was so cool. I strongly recommend the talk in the war room. The ticket is valid for 12 months, shame as we are 3 hours away but if we lived closer would be back many times. Loved it.

Back 'home' to where I served whilst in the Royal Air Force to show another one the Grandsons my old stomping ground. You can easily spend a whole day here learning about radar and air defence as well as a whole host of other interesting stuff. Some good hands on displays too. Excellent cafe on site if you want a sit down with a cuppa and exceedingly good cake selection.

What a great museum. Lots of hands on stuff and very accessible exhibits. Extremely knowledgeable staff, most of whom had experience of doing the job and working the equipment. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Without giving too much away.... the Cold War control room blew me away.... worth the entry price on its own!!!! The fighter jet cockpits were a fantastic experience and the Coltishall content was a pleasant surprise. Great cafe too. I'm sure we will be back.

Fantastic museum, took me a long time to get up to see it but well worth the drive. Excellent and interesting exhibits but the people who work there are brilliant. All the people I spoke with were knowledgable, helpful and friendly. There's a wealth of experience here and certainly worth the visit. A complete gem.

Excellent museum, run by volunteers and they are so helpful and knowledgeable in the field they worked in while in the RAF. The volunteers gave a couple of talks, one on the cold war and the other on the second world war both were very interesting. The entry cost per adult is £12, this lasts for a year, so you can go back as much as you like. We had lunch in Crumbs cafe of ham and cheese toastie, a cup of tea and a slice of cake, all of which was very nice. This is a very informative museum and a good place to bring all the family. Well done to all who work at the museum.

What an amazing little museum, run by some of the most wonderful and knowledgeable volunteers. Even though it was small, we easily spent four hours looking around and taking all the information in. It was well worth the entrance fee and it proved an incredibly eye opening experience. If you're in the area, I would wholeheartedly recommend visiting!

Fantastic Museum. Well worth the very reasonable entrance fee. Exhibits cover the History of the site as a working Radar station from WW2 up to the present day. As well as the history of RDF and Radar and so very much more.....Talks given by staff in plot rooms explain in fine detail how it all comes together to protect the Country. You could easily spend all day here. Cafe serving snacks , sandwiches,pasties etc is reasonably priced.. Small gift shop at entrance. This is a very good value visit as your entry ticket is valid for 12 months.

Was unprepared for how awesome this museum was! Fantastic exhibits, passionate and well informed volunteers eager to discuss and impart their knowledge, a great cafe....and very reasonable entrance fees. Spent hours here and that wasn't enough.

Absolutely fab place to visit if you are into UK History. Rooms are full of historic objects with excellent explanations. We attended an educational talk in the Cold War Room which was brilliant. Not only did we learn the history of the building and how the instruments work, but we’re lucky enough to have a ex member in the audience who gave supporting information. We loved visiting this museum. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, gift shop it’s sweet and you can buy memorabilia. Most definitely would go again next time we are in Norfolk. 100% definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic Museum! Very informative talks about the introduction and use of radar during WWII and the Cold War. Learnt a lot during our visit. We stayed for four hours and attended both talks. Had a nice coffee and locally sourced sausage roll from the cafe. Highly recommend! Credit to the volunteers who keep the place going.

Excellent examples of cold war era exhibits, with lots of buttons to push and presentations/signage to observe. The guides are very knowledgeable and very friendly, ready to answer any questions you have. Superb well stocked cafe, all-in-all excellent value for money. Looking forward to my return!

The food was delicious, we had a sloppy guiseppe and a calzone which were both really nice. Pizza was a touch overdone, but the flavour made up for it. Had the hot honey dough balls, which was a combination that I never thought would work, but I was definitely wowed! The billionaires sundae was incredible, I've never tasted something so delicious! The service, however, wasn't great. The young girls who worked there all looked really miserable as if they had better places to be! It was a shame as it definitely let the whole meal down with the food being wonderful.

Really good service by Richard, smiling and friendly, the food was great and the place was buzzing, the only complaint was that everyone, except Richard and one other colleague seemed so miserable, a smile doesn't cost anything.

We had lunch here we thought it looks baby friendly lots of kids around we were seated by this young lady with dark hair, we thought her service was exceptional, except our food wasn’t what we expected, we waited almost an hour for our food to arrived some people sat down after us and got their food before us. My wife have dietary restriction so we asked for a pasta dish with alternative cheese and stuffs. The pasta came as if they were left over, pasta was broken and overcooked(I shared photos of before and after), sauce was ok but burnt and they forgotten the cheese we thought. My wife said I could cook better at home then this, so we asked the young lady who served our table she was real nice and handled it professionally. We waited not long for the second and pasta was much better. Btw the Romano pizza was very thin and sloppy idk whether is the same across other stores but try avoid it go for classic instead. Three stars all go to the service.

Nice location , food was okay , good pizza . Starter not so nice . One waitress Dabi or Gabi young foreign girl was lovely and very hard working . The rest especially a young girl covered in tattoos were very lazy . We waited like other people over 20 minutes to get served while she and friends were busy gas bagging .

We had an excellent experience at pizza express yesterday even though it was busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they made sure we were never left waiting too long during the busy lunch rush. They were even able to light a birthday cake I had brought with me and bring it over to the table! And never made it seem like too much for them. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the waitress who severed us but I would like to give her a special thanks for making our experience so wonderful. The food was very good, hot and fresh. I liked you could see into part of the kitchen and see the pizza being made.

Lovely little Pizza Express with a great view of the church. Service was lovely and speedy (visited on a monday evening) and food was excellent. I recommend getting the app prior to your visit and referring a friend to activate some promotional codes, such as free sides or free dough balls!

Gets quite busy during the day so booking is a must. Lots of light wherever you sit with good views. Ample staffing usually who are attentive. Good tails and interesting sides and mains. Excellent location. Would recommend.

It was an ok experience, the restaurant has a great view, the staff were polite, prompt and friendly but the food didn't really inspire. The pizza base was disappointing and the bruschetta wasn't as good as I remember. Nothing was bad - maybe just our timing. So many independent Pizza restaurants now challenging the big chains that perhaps I had been spoilt with some of these?

The garden is a great place to visit but some people could find some of the stepped areas difficult. During the year various events take place that may need booking. A donation of £2 per person is requested as the garden has to pay for its own upkeep. Imaginative planting gives the garden long lasting interest and makes the Victorian medieval castings look effective. The Web site gives details of events and more history.

Lived in Norwich for years but visited this place for the very first time recently with the family. So pleased I did as it's a beautiful place and so calming too. Beautifully maintained gardens and picnic areas ,we really enjoyed our visit and will be visiting again very soon 🌱

Peaceful garden area and beautiful fountain, lots of plants and flowers to see. Really nice design of garden. It you want a quiet moment for yourself and just merge with nature then this is perfect place to come to. In sunny day it’s even better and there are lots of pathways you can explore.

Lovely, well maintained garden to visit, spend just under an hour here. Signs around the garden explaining its history and links to the city. Honesty box at the front for £2 entrance fee, with other options to pay e.g by text.

£2.00 cash donation to the honesty box Although street parking is available, it is always full. It's so lovely and green. The Quarry Garden is reached via steps from the Plantation House. There's also information about Henry Trevor and The Plantation Garden's history. There are woods, exquisite bricks, and textiles in the garden. There is a wooden chair available for you to sit and relax in. Comfortable shoes, on the other hand, would be ideal because there will be more footsteps as you walk around. We were there at the time, and there were some free plants in the front. I don't know if it's available on a regular basis.

Truly exceptional. The landscaping is immaculate and the place is refreshing. A good venue if you want some quiet time or if you maybe a picnic.

Nice chill out place. When we were there played a life music kind of relaxing and also we saw group of people to do wedding photography. Serving cup of tea, coffee and cakes at 2 pm also a pack for kids with soft drink and some snack, you can buy cash or card from the bar and seating on chair with table or bench. Home made jam/marmalade too. It was amazing been there.

This is a fantastic place to walk through and enjoy a moment of peace! Very close to the city centre, but it makes you feel like you are miles away from the bustle of the city. Definitely a must-stop when visiting Norwich. The garden is only open during the day, and there is an honest box with an entrance fee of £2 pp. On the way to the garden from the city centre, you can explore the beautiful Cathedral of St John the Baptist.

Well worth a visit when you are in the area. I went in the winter, it was very quiet and it was lovely to wander around and take it all in. I imagine that every season is different and they would all have their merits for a visit. Make sure you read the info provided to make your visit more fulfilling. It's £2 entry.

Lovely, well maintained garden to visit, spend just under an hour here. Signs around the garden explaining its history and links to the city. Honesty box at the front for £2 entrance fee, with other options to pay e.g by text.

Norwich's Secret Garden! You could almost miss the little brown sign that points you towards this hidden gem. I've visited the garden several times, a beautiful combination of gothic and italianate style. A varied array of planting. You probably can't make out the magnificent tree fern in my photo. The garden is very well cared for. All the plants are thriving and lush. The fountain is usually what catches your eye as you enter but the whole garden is worthy of exploring. There are toilets on site, just as you enter. It's a real haven in the city. It has also recently played host to Cinema City and outdoor screenings. I couldn't think of a better setting to watch a film.

Such a lovely little hidden garden in the middle of the city. Even in autumn it was full of flowers. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing walk or a picnic. Only niggle is I couldn’t take the pram on all the walkways- did have to either miss out or leave it at the bottom of steps.

Lived in Norwich all my life and never visited, until last weekend. WOW!! Well worth the visit, beautiful place. Will be back again in the summer.

A short walk, made a bit more cardio friendly by climbing the steps to the top. Very peaceful oasis in the heart of the City. Shame you can't take your dog in on a lead.

What a lovely hidden gem! The gardens are a small walk from Norwich centre but it is 100% worth the walk. This amazing garden is set down a gentle slope which means you hear zero noise from the main road, completely shut off from the outside world surrounded in amazing plant life. The information boards dotted around give an amazing insight into the history of the gardens and what it once was. The majority of the gardens are easily accessible but there are paths higher up that require steps but entry to the main gardens is a gentle slope from main road. The entrance fee of £2 per person is an absolute bargain and worth every penny. You’re unable to pay by card but there’s a mobile txt option which is what we used. There’s no toilets in the gardens but the Cathedral next door has toilets.

It's always a nice place to visit, just relax at their bench after you go around. £2 for entrance is worth the visit. Most especially summer. Surrounded by beautiful flowers.

We visited Eaton Park on what seemed like a fairly busy Saturday. The car park was full but it looks like there's a lot of visitor turnover so I can't imagine you would wait for long. The park is spacious and full of facilities to keep a family busy for most of a day; a great place for a picnic for sure. There are toilets on site which are free to use and although they are showing their age they do seem clean and tidy. There is a cafe on site which some of my family used, to good reviews and the queue outside can only mean it is popular with others as well. Disabled parking is available and the park seems to cater well to those with wheelchairs, push chairs and scooters. All in all a very enjoyable place to walk around.

With a fantastic atmosphere, this is the finest park for a family walk or an evening walk with your dog. Rose garden, skate park, sports facilities such as tennis, cricket, and other outdoor activities, boat pond, and lilly pond where fish can be seen. Free entry. Near the boat pond, you can rent a boat, however there were few people renting during our stay. I didn't see the Miniature Railway, but I'll try again next time. Car parking is provided.

What a place! 🌳 Landscaped with lots of little zones to walk through and enjoy, including ponds, a bandstand, a boules pitch, a playground, and many other things to do. 🦮 Extremely dog friendly, plenty of spaces to safely walk the dogs. 🗑 Beautifully kept, tidy, clean, and well maintained. 🚂 The train on Sundays is a joy, what a lovely thing to have, all volunteer-run. 🌹 There are plenty of shaded places to sit. My favourite lunch and a book spot is in the rose garden, on the benches tucked away in the bushes at the sides. ☕️ The café serves excellent coffee, and plenty of gluten free options, including toasties, jacket potatoes and veggie hash, but there’s often a queue so factor in a wait time of 20-30 minutes when you visit at its peak. 🚗 The car parks are free to use, and there’s one at the top (near the Farmhouse pub) and another at the bottom of the park (near the golf course). The top is best for the rose garden, playground, pitch & putt, and the train, and the bottom car park is great for golf, the skate park, the boating lake, and the café. The bottom one is larger so better chances to get a space.

Visited last week. A beautiful park with lots of activities to do. Playing field, picnic area, tennis courts boating lake, pond full of flowers and lovely walk through gardens and grounds. Bandstand is to sit and enjoy the music. Lots of benches to sit around and don't forget to take the joy of the sky with the sunset.

Great amenity for everyone who lives nearby or comes from afar. Friendly and welcoming - if you need to walk your dog or go to the playground with small children - everyone smiling and enjoying themselves! There is a fantastic cafe too.

Favourite park in Norwich for sure. Come here few times a year as not local, but always enjoy it. It always had free parking up until this year, which still doesn't help, as its always hard to get a free spot. Public toilets by cafe needs a lot of improvement too.

Visited today, what a beautiful park to visit on a sunny day. Parking £2 for four hours. So much to do. Boating lake, pond full of lilies, tennis, croquet, cafe, beautiful band stand, miniature railway and lovely walk through the gardens and grounds. A skate park / half pipe and children’s play area. Lots of shady places to seat if you are not a sunbather. Definitely worth a visit.

Eaton park is such a lovely place. Easily one of the best parks in Norfolk. From the rc boats and skate park to the crazy golf and park run weekends this place has so much to offer. It has a nice little cafe and the kids could happily spend all day in the massive park. They even have a ride on miniature train. Tennis courts, giant chess, beautiful blossom trees and a resident heron. We are very lucky to have this gem on our doorstep

Great place .Must visit well maintained,clean and tidy . Lots of fun .A place where we can visit with family and friends to enjoy nice weather. It has a lot of things like a cricket pitch, running tracks, tennis courts , basketball courts ,foot ball courts , cycle tracks ,resting tables ,and picnic areas .Worth visiting with a group of.familes as a community to.enjoy ,play and cheer up . It is also located immediately to.city .It's just less than 3 miles away from the city centre . Lots of matches on various sports are happening here on weekends and during holidays . Say like cricket ,tennis etc... As I know county teams will play here practice matches. Every Saturday there will be a marathon practice where a group of enthusiasts participate ,practice and enjoy the activity .It also has a nice green view with grass ,trees ,plants and a nice eye sight view .I recommend everyone to visit at least once to feel the joy of nature .Thank you very much to the Norwich council for maintaining such a great park and making it accessible for all .

Such a great place to go in our fine city. Plenty of facilities for all ages. A lovely walk with plenty of open space to let dogs off. Cafe has a wide range of refreshments on offer. Toilets could do with a well overdue refurbishment. Such a pity, it let's the park down.

Very pleasant park for either a quiet walk or other activities ranging from jogging to model boats to skatepark. Easy accessed by bus. Lovely cafe in a nice setting, with great food at reasonable cost.

What a great place. Lovely large area for walking. Central cafe, lilly pools, a garden area and playgrounds. Not to mention a model railway, though it wasnt open when we got there. Really lovely spot and parking is very reasonable

We got complimentary tickets when we bought the tickets to the castle. Was a very interesting museum as they showed many aspects of the life from the old times from hundreds years ago to recent years. Worth a visit.

We always love a trip here! It’s very interactive for children and really interesting, full of all kinds of treasure! The children (3&8) had a search and find sheet which they thoroughly enjoyed and the staff were fantastic! We will certainly be back and recommend it to people looking for things to do in Norwich! A small museum which have two full floors of city's industrial history from the beginning of the point of time these days there is a discount that u will get free tickets to visit this museum if you buy tickets to see nowitch Castle and museum . There are lots of interactive galaries which kids love will visit another time

I have lived in Norwich for a long time but hadn’t got round to visiting this gem of a museum until recently. It’s full of interesting exhibits and information about Norwich as well as the history of the Bridewell itself. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn more about Norwich’s history

Where to start! We came to see an art exhibition in the undercroft which was stunning, the space was interesting, very atmospheric. The museum itself was full of interesting exhibits, well laid out and the staff were super helpful and friendly. Well worth a visit, lots to interact with so good for children.

Wonderful place for both families and adults alike. A fascinating look into Norwich's social and economic history with plenty of hands on things for the children.

A excellent museum telling you all about how Norwich started and the people and industry that made it what it is today.. I paid my £7.50 adult (Feb(2024 prices)and started at the beginning, The first thing you see is Samson a statue that used to be at one of the nightclubs back in the day, It's a great story on how it made and the story behind it, And there are lots of very old artifacts and how Norwich became one of the leading areas that made garments and clothes for everyone. The museum takes you right up to the present day as you see old chemists and grocery shops that used to be..

Loved my visit to this place. So much to see. I feel I know a lot more about Norwich now. No cafe, (though there are toilets) but ticket lasts all day, so you can pop out to a nearby cafe (if you want) and go back to the museum.

Great museum, perfect for couple's, families and children or to have look round by yourself. Two floors with lift available. Objects, artifacts, clothes etc from Norwich in the 17th century to 21st century. Plenty to get involved with such as looking at maps, hearing & watching stories & also dressing up

Fascinating museum of All Things Norwich. Some great exhibits and some cracking stories. The woman at the desk was very knowledgeable and helpful (filling in as a tourist information officer!). I only had an hour to look round, before the museum closed, but it's definitely worth another, longer, visit.

Nice local.history museum that looks at industries that Norwich has been associated with such as Colmans Mustard and shoe making. There is an entry fee but it is free for Art Fund members.

Very interesting museum in terms of exhibits and the building itself. Well laid out. Spent 1½ hours there: would have stayed longer, but we had a train to catch!

What an excellent museum!! I took time to look at the medieval period which primarily interests me, but there is so much here charting the cities history over the decades that anyone with even a passing interest in history or Norwich would appreciate this place. Recommended and I will return someday too.

Great museum. If you like museums this museum will be perfect. In all seriousness it's a great not so little museum with the best chemist / apothecary display ever in the history of this sort of thing. Really is amazing. The staff are helpful and pleasant and I had a most pleasant time being surprised at how good it was.

I had a great time eating delicious food and buying some whimsy at Norwich Market. Different cuisines flavours. Fresh produce vegetables and fruits. Very good coffee place. Very clean everywhere in the city!! People are very friendly and kind.

The market was both interesting and disappointing. On the one hand there were multiple good food places inside, but on the other it's a bit busy and tight in the corridors and the hours for many shops aren't too great.

Wow, so many delicious food outlets within Norwich Market place. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to explore the amazing array of different foods from various vendors.

After visiting so many other large cities around the UK I finally got around to visiting Norwich! My first impressions of Norwich were good. It's a large city with plenty of facilities for those that live there. However, I did feel it is not as ornate or attractive as some cities like Bath, Oxford, Cambridge, or Edinburgh, all that feature fantastic architecture. Norwich also had some major traffic problems in some areas. Norwich Market is one of the main attractions in Norwich City. It is a good sized market, and its colourful stalls add some nice colour to the city centre. I didn't get time to browse every stall, but I noticed that many stalls sold food. If the market does not sell what you are looking for, the city centre is packed with other stores, including the 2nd largest Marks & Spencer store. You need to be prepared to walk a LOT though as shops are scattered everywhere, which can be tiring.

Love this place... Great stallholders, Great Selection of Food from all corners of the Globe.... Superb Vintage Stall to the rear, really lovely owner.... But we love the Spiritual "Sixth Sense" stall, crystals, jewellery, oil burners, incense and holders and much more..... and what a breakfast with a coffee for just £8...

Right in the city centre, always come to the Cambodia stall for my noodles as she has the best selection. Also enjoy Lucy's fish and chips. My husband used to buy flowers for me here as well if he was working in the city. Have bought dog beds here in the past 2 large for £12 in 2013! Definitely something for everyone. Pop-up stalls are very welcome to try out for a cheap rate. Public toilets on the left next to the Garnet pub. My favourite post box is at the top of the steps at the top. So beautiful. Lovely memorial at the top facing City Hall, setting area just below.

Small stalls in a very nice and busy outdoor market. Everything was clean and tidy. Lovely place with great story behind with 900 years of work.

A good market for a mooch around. Plenty of variety (clothes, hot & cold food etc). The stall holders don't pack up as early as some markets. It appears well used. Well worth a visit.

Falafel & Friends is our favourite foodie place on the market but there is so much choice we've yet to try them all! Great to still have a fresh veg and fruit stall on the market as well as unique, diverse traders... great place to get supplies or just mooch about!

A great time and plenty of shops and lots of food choices! Prices were extremely reasonable and it felt very safe, even in the evening hours. Overall, would definitely recommend adding this to the list of places to see when in Norwich. Make sure you come hungry! A++

Colorful outdoor building selling mostly fast food. Only a few shops opened on Sunday when we were there. It's adjacent to the Royal Arcade.

If you are in Norwich you must go and visit the Pie and Mash Stall extremely good value for money , I had the Beef and Star Gazer Ale pie but other pies to choose from if you wish , friendly person on the stall i paid she bought over the food when it was ready.

Regularly use the Marriott close branch as close to town order on line and then collect very rare any item is out of stock and if it is hall Rd normally have one. Friendly helpful staff and seem very well organised good prices too the tool station book is a must on the van ! Have used for years and will continue as never had a problem keep up the good work !
