Reminds me of Pancharevo ezero in Bulgaria, a very nice walk around, but even better because of the many things to do around. There's a train, two roads - strictly for pedestrians and one for bikers only, ice cream and some restaurants at the far end as well as a whole amusement park and a zoo if you continue a bit further, But it's fine even for just a walk. Takes about 1 - 2 hours depending on your tempo. I loved that they put an honour to the medalists!

Beautiful and full of history. You can visit all year around and never get bored with it. There are old military fort buildings and structures that are still accessible. There is also a military museum with the world war II exhibit (planes and tanks). The park is visited by bike raiders, runners, joggers and walkers. One of the nicest and coolest places and Poznań.

Such a well kept and lovely park. There are lots of interesting statues dotted around the park and there is also a military museum located in the grounds. Well worth a trip, for a few hours of your time. We were lucky enough to see red squirrels on our visit, which we loved.

Fantastic park, we spent hours here, so much to explore. Each area is different and it has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of public bathrooms and places to get drinks and coffee. Also well used by people in wheelchairs and mobility scooters as the paths are very well maintained.

The guys were extremely funny. They made people join their show. We watched a movie and one of the guys explained us the history of how it all began. The Croissant they give at the end was pretty tasty. Something to remember about this is... the art of sharing.

I bought the tickets right there. I didn't wait too long. They have in Polish and English. Is about an hour. It was a live show and it was very funny🤣. The chef asked for volunteers and I was one of them. I had a great time with their explanations, jokes. We also saw the Goats from the window. The guys running it seem to think it’s a stand up comedy gig with a stream of inappropriate jokes, things that might have been considered funny in the 1970s... At 2pm they offer an English tour, the host made an introduction on how it all started, explained that it all started for charity. He asked for 6 volunteers to help him out. While explaining the process how to do the croissants the volunteers did what he asked them to do, it was a lovely experience. Ended the tour by watching the fighting goats behind the clock. This is probably the most beautiful church in Poznan; built in Baroque style between 1651 & 1701 it has survived largely intact despite Wars and occupation. I love the huge supportive Corinthian Columns and the Frescos painted across the ceiling. The Side Aisles are also beautifully decorated along with the Nave.

Old glass houses, lots of plants etc. It touched us when we saw the marking on the sick plant visible black spots on the leaves etc (attention this plant is under the progress of treatment). Wow. Excellent place to come see plants and animals from all over the world. We nice cafe, not very busy, and a great attraction for both children and adults. I really recommend coming here! Strong 5 stars for the plants, not so much for the living condition of some of the animals. If, as I suspect there are no funds for improving them, the larger animals could just be removed, the experience would stay just as good. Disagree with the review suggesting 30-45 minutes for a visit, I could have spent 2 hours easily were it not for the closing time. Plant addicts can do 3 by checking out the tags on each plant. Overall a really great visit and a must in Poznań!

I recently visited Poznań's Cathedral for the third time. Every time I visit it I'm blown away by its beauty and historical significance. Inside, the cathedral is filled with stunning stained glass windows, ornate altars, and beautiful sculptures. The history and significance can be felt in every corner and it's clear that great care has been taken to preserve this incredible landmark. A visit to the Cathedral at Ostrów Tumski is a must for anyone visiting Poznań. Highly recommend it!

Was on a brief stay in Poznan, and only got to see the cathedral on a Sunday, albeit a flying visit. The crypt is not open on Sundays by the way. Walked around within, some interesting chapels, including the golden chapel that needed 5 zlt or so to turn on the lights - I declined. The cathedral is in good shape. Recommend. I’ll be back

We had the pleasure to happen by a gentleman from City Event Poznan: the tour took about 45 minutes, the guidance was in Polish and soooo interesting and catching that I would love to spend more alike tours with this guide - I can strongly recommend this! We planned our day around the advertised opening hours (until 19:00) only to be turned away at 15:50 as the cathedral closed at 16:00. Would’ve happily just looked around for 10 minutes, but we were rudely informed the cathedral was closed. The opening hours seem to be entirely incorrect.

Really interesting location and history. Very popular place to visit by both Polish people and international visitors. From Google Wikipedia: ( as I can't write it better) The Archcathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul in Poznań is one of the oldest churches in Poland and the oldest Polish cathedral, dating from the 10th century. It stands on the island of Ostrów Tumski north-east of the city centre. The cathedral was originally built in the second half of the 10th century within the fortified settlement (gród) of Poznań, which stood on what is now called Ostrów Tumski ("Cathedral Island"). This was one of the main political centres in the early Polish state.

The actual cathedral is build on the site of first such edifice raised in Poland, almost 1000 years ago. Actually, parts of the original foundation can be still seen in the basement of actual one. Not to be missed if you're in Poznan!

It is a nice historical place. Sadly the history is not really visible or explained anywhere. I feel it could use an audio guide or at least some board with a bit of info about it. Also accessing it on foot from the city center takes you through a busy noisy road which just takes away from the pleasure

Although the cathedral is quite a distance out of the city (20 minute walk or so), it's definitely worth a visit. It's the first cathedral to have been built in Poland, and the beautiful gothic façade contrasts with the more austere interior. Free entry for the cathedral itself, with paid access only being necessary for the crypts.

Many years ago there was an attempt to move the old zoo animals out of the city centre and its noise and pollution. Apparently it didn't work at the time as it resulted in the zoo rats moving out too, and into the houses around. When visiting last week I just enjoyed the green oasis in the middle of the traffic mayhem. Benches to sit on, free toilet. I would prefer to see animals live somewhere quieter.

The old location of the Poznań Zoo, now serves as a large petting zoo and park, the entry is free. This makes it the perfect location to visit on a trip Poznań, especially if you have kids, they love petting the cows, sheep, goats, pigs and even geese, in this zoo. There's only 2 vendors at the entrance and no active zoo staff so you need to pay good attention to your kids.

Small zoo that you can enter for free and stroll like a park. Most of the cages/houses are not in use anymore since they probably do not meet modern size standards. The reptile house (paid) is well worth a visit for its comodo dragon and geckos etc, even though most animals, especially the crocodiles, still have very little space. The new turtle house is a great addition and the foxes are lovely to watch.

Much smaller than the New Zoo, but located in the city center this is the oasis of greenery and an attractive park with several animals still hosted here. Compact, great for families and everybody who seeks some relax or likes observing the nature. Free entrance.

The Old Zoo in Poznań is a disappointing attraction that falls short of expectations. While it holds historical significance, the facilities are outdated and in need of renovation. The enclosures for the animals are small and don't provide adequate space for them to roam and thrive. I love EVERYTHING about the Old Zoo, I honestly just love this place. You can watch amazing, exotic animals for free ❤️ there is also a pavilion (payed 6 zlotych/person) where you can see incredible fishes, frogs, snakes and other animals (except for mammals and birds - they are outside the pavilion). Being there is always amazing experience. You can sit on a bench, read book, watch animals and just enjoy the peace and calmness there 😊🍀

Sadly time didn't allow for a longer visit in the museum, but we enjoyed our walk across the river Warta along the glazed corridor with open views on both sides, friendly well informed staff at the museum shop and watching a few people clean the concrete steps on the river bank. I highly recommended this place. My kids, 5 and 3 years old, had fun with the interactive audio guide and felt excited to resolve all the puzzles. There's a kid play area on every floor, not very big but interesting and friendly enough to attract my 3-year-old kid. The view of the outdoor surrounding area is fabulous. We enjoyed the place a lot.

What began as my girlfriend and I just popping our heads in out of curiosity turned into a full hour learning about the history of Poznań, a very interesting history at that as Poznań is actually the birthplace of Poland. You get audio-guides to listen to and guide you around the exhibition. To add, once you do the main exhibition, you can go to another desk and get different audio-guides so you can do a guided tour of the nearby cathedral (which is beautiful). About two hours overall for us to complete both tours.

Really excellent high tech multimedia exhibition taking you through the history of Cathedral Island and beyond. I would actually recommend coming here before visiting the Archdiocesan Museum or Cathedral as you'll pick up information from the audio guide and videos about both these places. The smart audio guide knows where you are and automatically plays a commentary for that area. Additionally if you more information about any exhibit you can point audio guide at the headphones symbol and press play. Good views from the terrace on the roof of the building and after you've completed your tour, head across the glass sides bridge to the Cathedral Lock.

Great museum! Got the tram from hotel here and walked about 5 mins to get to the museum. Can't remember cost of entrance but it was cheap and included audio guide and an audio guide for the cathedral also. Spent maybe 2 hrs here and really enjoyed it ! Very informative, interactive and fun! Nice observation deck near the end of self guided tour also. don't have kids, but it's great for kids with lots of kids educational play areas also! If in Poznan I wouldn't miss this one!

A wonderful contemporary building with an interactive museum that gave you an insight to the history of the city. The audio guide was informative and helped navigate you through the museum. There’s also a rooftop viewing terrace which gives great views around. Watch out for the glass walkways if you’re not too fond of heights!

The townhall in Poznan is so beautiful and amazing, because there is a lot of sculptures, paintings, fresco. And what very liked me, it is the man who playing on pipe. It is going on every hour. And every hour on townhall tower ringing bells. It is something incredible. At evening there is lighting colourful lights and it is seems like cathedra. I was liked this town for his soul.

This is a fantastic tourist information centre with knowledgeable and friendly staff, which tolerated our lacklustre Polish! There’s lots of free resources available (including the urban games, which are a must do for any trip to Poland). There is a fantastic gift shop with lots of reasonably priced souvenirs.

Amazing, helpful and friendly team! If you need help, I highly recommend going here. I'm on a genealogy trip here and as I don't understand Polish, they were so kind and took a lot of time to search Polish websites for information regarding my grandfather. A big thank you to the team for their support yesterday! And on another note: Trip apps try to sell you expensive tours. Here they have tours for free and plenty of other information for free. Don't always just depend on the internet.

This is a modern (1910) Palace building, very austere and striking rather than beautiful. The main part looks to have been under renovation for a long time and I doubt if it can be visited soon. The large wing on the right of the front is now a very swish gallery and art cinema and well worth a look. To the side an entrance takes you into a courtyard with the rose guardian and a fabulous bar serving excellent low cost food(quiche, pastries) and drinks.

a beautiful piece of history. the majestic structure really leaves you speechless. One thing that displeased me is that the rooms are not furnished and the objects that were inside have been distributed in various museums. If you do not have a guide, it is very easy to get lost due to its size and infinity of rooms. As a student, I paid only 5 złoty for the ticket, a minimum price for a breathtaking structure. absolutely recommended

Although built for Wilhelm II and now a cultural center in Poznan the WW2 era is dominant. It was eerie to walk a castle that Albert Speer spent much time modifying for his leader. Much was made to look like Reich Chancellery. It was a feeling I couldn't shake. In the garden you should visit the monument of the 22.000 Polish officers that Stalin killed, to honour and grasp how the polish people suffered.
