A few exotic animals along with farm animals , picnic areas and play areas for the kids , restaurant and gift/toy shop , woodland walk with den building. Great place for children , you might want to wear Wellington boots if its been raining as the pathways can get quite muddy. At the entrance you can buy a bag of food for £1so you can feed the farm animals , I would recommend this as its good fun feeding the animals , especially for young children , there are plenty of hand washing stations along the way so its totally safe⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review for restaurant, The food was great quality, I had Lamb stew , very tasty and filling , the service was not so good , we ordered 4 drinks and 4 meals , the meals took at least 30 minutes to come out to us (its a small menu and should be a quick turn around) I had to remind the waitress we had ordered drinks , they arrived half way through eating our meal , we were asked if we wanted a dessert , the menu was given to us , after waiting 20 minutes (the restaurant was NOT busy at this time) we decided to give the dessert a miss !! when paying we wanted to split the bill between 2 couples , my friend paid on her card , I paid cash , I was short changed buy £5 , I told the cashier my change was not correct , she stared at the till and gave me £2 , I told her again it was not correct , she again stared at the till and I explained what money I had given her and what my correct change should of been , she eventually gave me the correct change . overall not a great experience ⭐⭐⭐

Lovely day out with lots to do and see. We went with our 1yr old son (in buggy) and dog. The gravels paths are easy to navigate with buggy despite what a few people have written. We will definitely be back in a year or so so my son can take advantage of the park area which looked great fun for kids.

We had a wonderful day at Jimmys Farm today. We haven’t been for a few years and it has a much wider variety of animals than I remember, including zebras and camels. The animals all have large and much more natural habitats than some other places and you can tell they are well cared for. We saw baby goats minutes after they were born and we were also very lucky to have the amazing experience of feeding the capybaras. The piglets in the rare animals section were adorable and so funny to watch. The food was also really good and freshly made. A special thank you to Keeper Tom for all your insight and helping us have a fabulous family day out.

A good way to spend a few hours or so with a range of animals, they also sell animal feed for £1 per pack and have multiple hand wash stations throughout the farm. They had Marshfield Farm ice cream, which is one of my favourites do it had to be done... There are also several food outlets but we brought lunch with us.

This is a wonderful day out for all the family. It is really clean. You can see that the animals are cared for and well looked after with plenty of room. There is also a lovely restaurant, gift shop and clothing outlet, so lots to see and do. Staff are really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this as a visit.

Fantastic day out. Lots to see and lots to do. Really loved the fact that hand washing units all had hot water wherever we were going. We loved to watch polar bears and wolves and search for a brown bear Diego. Also, the sausage rolls in a farm shop were super tasty.

Not a zoological marvel, however the staff are all really really nice, animals are all happy looking and seem cared for. You can see the investment here, and I am sure this place will grow. Great few hours out with the kids. If you bring snacks and drinks, it is a cheap day out just down the road.

Lovely farm, had lots to see and do and interesting animals such as armadillos and ant eaters that you'd not expect to see at a farm! The animals looked well cared for and happy. The staff were very friendly and informative, particularly the man handling the dinosaurs today- very good with children! The butterfly house was really nice.

I attended the Wellness Day, which included Pilates in the Woods. The whole day was perfect, including the healthy breakfast and lunch. I didn't get all round the park, so missed out on many of the animals, but just makes we want to go back.

My Son & I visited Jimmy’s Farm in July 2023. We were both amazed! We’ve never seen animals so relaxed and so well looked after. We did the Capybara experience & VIP, would definitely recommend. The girls who ran our experiences were a real credit to farm. You could see that they loved their jobs & all the animals :)

Brilliant! Went thinking it was your typical "farm" style place was great to see so much! My kids had a fantastic time on the blow up pillows, Super friendly staff spoke to us for ages about animals behaviour! Had a late breakfast which was really good, loads of different things to see with what looks like an expansion of the site so 100% coking back!!!

Jimmys farm is wonderful, with plenty of animals to see, and they were all awake, well and lively, the polar bear is obviously the main attraction for most, but all of the animals shine in their own right. The park is fun for children and adults alike,and even though I went during winter, you can look around the place and see it's 10 times better during summer, genuinely a good day out, just be sure to bring wellies.

Always over sold without the facilities to accommodate the amount of visitors. I visited today in half term with my family. It's very expensive to attend and the car park was very full. The bouncy cushion was unattended and with about 50 kids flying around crashing into each other, throwing sand etc - it wasn't the safest. There aren't enough toilets, people queuing. The same with anywhere to eat, there were massive lines, and not enough benches to sit on. It being February it was very muddy so you couldn't sit on the grass and lots of people resorted to perching on tge edge of flower pots etc. There wasn't any soap at the hand wash station, and no hand sanitiser as you left, or in the gift shop which you are made to exit through to leave, which is a bug bear of mine as I have an autistic child who is clumsy and grabby around glass jars of things and other expensive items around. The walk in the forest was very muddy, and was impossible to walk on the actual trail, as no one had thought to put wood chips down, or even a sign that it was boggy ahead. My 75 year old dad struggled off the path with roots and other obstacles to navigate. My step sister actually fell in the mud at one point. I will say that all the animals looked well cared for and happy. They all had nice enclosures with plenty to keep them entertained and had food and water available. But I wouldn't visit again, at least not in peak times, as it seems they are more concerned with getting lots of people in and making money out of them than they are making it an enjoyable experience.

We was all very excited to go to Jimmy's farm but in all honesty wasn't was I was expecting. I totally take my hat off to this guy for giving these animals the best life and the space is I'd say the most I've seen for the animals which is the main thing in my opinion. Very clean site and can see they are all very well taken care of. There wasn't as much as we had thought to see and the viewing was quite far from some animals which was disappointing but was lovely to see them nevertheless.. I do think the tickets are overpriced in my opinion especially when your a family and wanting to eat also, burger and chips for £25 is extortionate I think. With the tickets, the drive down and something to eat for us would have ended up £200 which I really don't think was worth it. Again we all loved seeing the animals we did and well run, well kept and spacious for these types of animals.

What a lovely day we had, its more like a mini zoo than a farm ! So many different animals to see ! Just listing a few here, goats, rabbits, sheep/lambs, pigs, meerkat, butterflies, crocodile, lizards, geese, chickens, anteater, zebras, armadillo....and so on ! The farm itself felt very well spaced out, the animals had plenty of area to explore, it felt very clean, no litter or mess anywhere, it's easily a full day out. There where at least 3 different play areas for the children to play in, everything seamed brand new, there's an ice cream shop, coffee shop plus a restaurant and gift shop. The woodland den building area was a great idea ! My daughter would happily stay there all day !. We will definitely be going back again in a few months, there was a sign saying that 20 new animals will be added soon. We felt the entry price was fair considering what was there! The restaurant was really nice, looked stunning aswell as its set inside an old barn! The food was really really nice, we will happily eat there again, you are allowed to take your own food and have a picnic on the grass if you wish but we ate in the restaurant and I think we would again as the food was super yummy !! If your hoping to see farm machinery such as tractors, this isn't the farm for you as I said earlier, it's more like a zoo. This wasn't a problem for us, we loved it !

When as a Father's day present , never been before and had a lovely day. Lots of animals for the little ones to feed. Nicely set out. When in the restaurant for lunch and the food was very good. The sausage rolls are brilliant. One thing we did comment on was toilets. Could do with a couple more on site. It's a bit of a walk from were the raccoons are to the toilets. But apart from that very good. Large car park.

Great place for a day out for all ages. My wife and I spent a lovely 4 hours there today. Loads of different animals to see with some you can feed. Just don't stand too close to the goats with your box of food, as my wife found out, or they'll pinch it 😂😂

We love going there. Watching animals, feeding them, learning about them. Food, coffee and ice creams are great! Bouncy pillows and play areas. This is perfect place for children and adults.

The experience was nice. On the top half of the park there isn’t a proper footpath, therefore could be dangerous/slippery as it is uneven and quite muddy in parts. The animals look well looked after, the polar bear and artic wolves didn’t seem to have much shade and looked quite sad in the sun, feel more could be invested into making their habitats a more enjoyable and comfortable environment. Enjoyed seeing the animals as a one off experience but can’t say I’ll be coming back regularly.

I am a carer and was looking for somewhere to take a young adult in a wheel chair, the website stated it was wheelchair friendly so we gave it a go, it is not wheelchair or pushchair friendly. Really steep pathways which has stones as pathways, small pebble and larger rocks. as I was pushing the wheelchair up hills the stones were making me slip and nearly myself and young lad fell backwards. I met other people with buggies struggling as well, some bits I just wasn't able to assess with a wheelchair. Where it had been raining made muddy, stoney paths uneven too. Definitely a let down. Wasn't there long as safety, then to get out there is another quite steep hill, with slippery stones on had to do it in stages, workers were walking pass. Jimmy's only saving grace was the animals looked very well looked after. Love the wolves and polar bear but couldn't see them very well as too far away. With a nearly blind lad he wanted to see them. But couldn't get close enough although could hear them howling.

They have certainly been busy adding the Polar and brown bear enclosures which gives the animals lots of space. Pathways are stone clippings whi can make it a bit hard going, but otherwise it’s a good day out with plenty to see and do for young and old alike. Could do with some more food outlets as the park expands but the barn restaurant is nice food good quality and nicely cooked. Fortunately we did book a table in advance as it was a bank holiday and very bust.

Such an amazing day. The restaurant was fantastic, we had a full English breakfast to start off our day. And then spent the whole day in the park. All the animals were viewable. Such an amazing place to see how well the animals are cared for and how much space they have. Family and dog friendly. We went as 2 adults and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will be back!

What a brilliant park. We had such a good day. The animals seem really well cared for and the enclosures are large. Obviously the highlight was Ewa the polar bear but we enjoyed spending the whole day here. Animal feed can be purchased at the gate and it's great fun feeding the animals. Playparks are good fun too. We also ate in "The Barn" and I highly recommend a burger 🍔 😋 X

Outstanding wildlife part. So impressed with how much space there is for the animals. You can pay £1 for animal feed which is a lot of fun. There are multiple play areas for children. During the winter, wear boots as it gets very muddy. Ewa the polar bear is beautiful and so active. Highly recommend passing by her.

Jimmy's is a wonderful place. The enclosures are big and well laid out. The staff, although we didn't see many, are friendly and helpful. We didn't have food onsite as we had our own food but a family from our group did get food and it was delicious, although slightly expensive. Seeing Eva the polar bear was a highlight for everyone and we all stood watching her for a long time. Behind her are the Arctic wolves who were very loud the day we visited. But we loved hearing the howls.

Simply the best. All the staff are great and friendly and knowledge. Food is excellent and the little polar bear is very well looked after by (Ranger) James and Co!!! My good friends' children - the 7 and 9 year old boys loved the whole experience. I am partially sighted and disabled and whilst some areas were tricky to navigate there were always spots to rest - such as benches etc - and toilets and the staff jumped up to help me at all times, when I did or did not ask. The restaurant had good disabled facilities and a disabled access door. The disabled parking was great. I did take some time to climb back up the steeper parts of the park but then I do recognise that a wild animal park must have some bits that may be difficult to manage for people such as myself as they cannot tarmac a polar bear enclosure or even the path to it for very practical reasons. I know that the plans in development will improve the facilities further and I cannot wait to go back and see more!

I visited a cafe at my lunch time. My coffee and sandwich were lovely. My sandwich was superb, it was made with good quality bread , with generous filling. I enjoyed sitting outside , admiring a lovely display of wild flowers/plants.I often visit the cafe with my friends. Always welcoming and friendly staff.

It is a wonderful place, mostly run with volunteers, with excellent shows & entertainment. Always an enjoyable evening out.

Rock and Roll panto was the best panto I've ever seen and we go to at least one every year! Loved it so much booked again for January. Nice little theatre, comfortable and nice bar and bar staff. A member of staff in the theatre itself was abrupt - tapping my friend on her shoulder a bit too firmly it felt rude, unnecessary and a bit as though she had her eye on us all night. Otherwise perfect.

Great place to come on a rainy evening. There are often themed food and drinks available at the bar. There is ample parking too.

Great show, comfortable seating and lovely staff. The show we saw was for young children and they were made to feel welcome. A great introduction to theatre!

I went to see the Nina Simone inspired play last year and was very impressed by the show and by the theatre itself. I love that we have such an active local theatre with a wide range of shows throughout the year. I hope to take the kids to a show soon so they can experience what a live show is all about.

We recently visited the theatre to see Eric & Ern. What a wonderful treat that we would not have missed for the world. My husband has early onset Alzheimer’s and this play was the third one we had enjoyed over last few months. I was very anxious about this performance but the box office assistant was extremely helpful. My husband laughed his way through the entire performance … familiar jokes and routines in a relaxed setting. It warmed my heart - theatre should just do that. Well done Wolsey

One of the best cozy and friendliest theatres around. The staff are super helpful. The way that the seating is arranged in regard to the stage means that no matter where you sit, you will not miss out on any view. Absolutely brilliant.

I went to see Frankies guys a tribute to the jersey boys they were great really enjoyed it had a great view from where I was sitting which was 6 rows from the front

What a lovely little theatre. Has its own car park priced at £2.50 after 6pm or an underground car park next door priced at £2.00 after 6pm. Has a bar etc. Seating is arranged in an arc, so everyone has a decent view. Small scale productions, which is great

Super theatre with no blind spots and comfy seats. Generous bar areas and you can take your drink into the auditorium. Seen a few pantomimes there and a couple of more serious plays, never disappointed.

This theatre is cozy, has seating with great views, and the performances have consistently been of a high quality. It is a comfortable place with good parking next door. The staff are really friendly, and there is reasonable food and drink options.

Nov 23, first time visiting the venue for the Rock and Roll Pantomime. I was greeted in my chair by a welcome card from the venue, thanking me for my first visit; lovely touch. The venue is wonderful, very intimate, comfortable and excellent view no matter where you sit. The show production and cast were fantastic. What a well put together show with some amazingly talented performers. Time flew by and I could have happily watched more. I will return based on an excellent experience.

Our first time at The Wolsey Had a brilliant evening last night, the panto was brilliant. Staff were friendly and the actors worked hard to make sure we were well entertained. Plenty of laughs and singing along to songs made it well worth going.

What a fantastic creative and professional space in Ipswich. The staff and volunteers are great, the venue offers excellent variety, plenty of parking nearby and easily accessible on foot, by bike, bus and train. Love The New Wolsey. Thanks for all you do

Absolutely loved The Little Shop of Horrors! The acting was great and the singing was amazing!

This was my first visit to TNWT. It's a very pleasant venue and fairly easy to access, even for wheelchair bound people. The play was very good (The Invincibles) but sadly finished its run the day we were there having already been at a theatre in Hornchurch. There's a few carparks very close by and the main pedestrian precinct is near as well, if you arrive early as we did and want to do some impromptu shopping.

Very big and beautiful park. There are different areas for recreation. Pond with ducks and geese. Playground, tennis courts, a small cafe in an old Mansion, plenty of space for dog walking. There are toilets outside and in the old Mansion. The Mansion is open as a museum and has a small gift shop.

Lovely place to take the children for a day out . The maniaion is fill of history and worth a visit. New play aera for the kids. ponds with lots of ducks and squirrels in the woods. Both can be feed by hand .watch out squirrels some times nip. .there is a cafe and disabled toilets. With on site disabled parking .well worth a visit .

Lovely day out any time of the year. Or, of you're in town is great just to take a walk through, have a picnic or visit the cafe and museum! Lots to see and do. The wildlife and flora is also great to see and the gardens are always well kept.

A great Park for a leisurely walk. Nice wide paths, lots of open space for the dog or the kids to run. Plenty of trees, plants and points to interest especially the lake.

Ipswich main park for play/leisure and events, well maintained, there's also the mansion in the grounds which welcomes people in to view and see the history of the building, to one side is the art gallery which had a Gainsborough exhibition and collection plus information about the artist and his art. There is also a small tea room to the side of the building, I have used in the past but not in most recent visit. The arboretum is beautiful, that's the park area especially designed for tree's. Ipswich has this and many other park areas which all are worth visiting.

Really unique and beautifully maintained park. Has everything you could want. Exercise equipment, playground, museum, cafes, toilet facilities, parking. Can be hilly with steep steps around which is great for a workout. But you can always find another way around if you want to avoid these areas.

Great place for a walk. Plenty of scenery and the wildlife is very friendly! Take some snacks for the squirrels is my advice!

Beautifully maintained park. Lots of memories from when I was young and not much has changed. Great play area for the kids and home to Christchurch Mansion. Toilets available both top and bottom end of park. A small refreshment hut at the top end near play area. Events held annually include Ipswich Music Day and Fireworks. Recently hosted Ipswich Town's promotion parade 2 years running.

This was a really nice park. Large, with good walking paths. A balance of trees and open spaces and some scenic water features. Didn't seem crowded in winter. Nice to have some facilities in the park too. Would recommend this park for a pleasant stroll.

Christchurch Park is definitely the most varied public place in Ipswich & justifiably regarded as one of the town's best features. The site has so many aspects to it, from formally laid-out gardens & fountain water pool, to its so-called 'old men', mature trees providing natural woodland to such features as the so-called 'Wilderness Pond'. There's even a Petanque pitch on-site, as well as separate arboretum & orchard areas, both fenced-in & secluded from the public section of the Park, although easily enough found. The Arboretum Sundial, previously located within an orchard, is now in a flowerbed, acting as memorial to Dr. John Blatchly MBE, Headmaster of the nearby Ipswich School & an influential figure in preserving the old town. Criss-crossing paths vary from tarmac, to trodden mud through the trees, so all several contrasts of terrain are extraordinary to find all in one space. It's a great place for dog exercising, or just sitting on one of the many benches & observing Squirrels, listening to Woodpeckers, & all the other nature thriving in a city centre, as I've enjoyed here. If it does have a downside, it's for those who're not dog lovers, as they're unavoidable & do tend to be bounding around all over the place. I've walked dogs here, as part of a scheme training them in off the lead behaviour, but too many owners cannot be bothered. The incredible thing is how gormless some of the local dog owners are, & cannot cope with other people using this facility, such as trying to have a picnic or quiet sit down . Christchurch Park is extremely hilly & very steep walking from South to North gates, so it's difficult going for those with mobility problems or simply feeling tired. Actually, the set paths at the lowest end of the Park, all run in diagonal, up/downhill direction, so making it quite awkward crossing from one side to the other than by walking across the grass. On-site is also the town's WW Memorial, & separate Boer War Memorial, as well as memorial tree. There's so much to see here, it's possible to forget that the site is also the location of the stately home from which it takes its name, Christchurch Mansion.

Good for strolling in the evening for sunset. Great for photo taking too.

Great day at the Bisto on the waterfront. Fantastic music and friends. Sit out enjoy drink and excellent food. Value for money . Location superb. One of my best places.

Nice place. Briarbank brewery's taproom is here along with other tempting looking restaurants and places to stay. Brewdog arriving here soon too.

Lovely spot, especially love Kult for a drink or a coffee although not open every evening. Perfect for a late afternoon/ evening stroll. September is best because when footy is on its quiet and all the boats are back in marina as sun sets.

One of the best calm, clean and beautiful waterfront. Enjoyed the walking through the waterfront and we can see various types of boats and boat restaurants. One must visit.

Definitely the place to head for if you want to sit near to the water & have a choice of places to eat & drink. Clean, smart & attractive with wide paths.

Ipswich waterfront is an absolutely beautiful place with a lovely range of restaurants restaurants, Cafes coffee shops with a beautiful view. There is a national cycle route along the waterfront and cars can use certain areas of the waterfront. Ipswich waterfront is also home to the salt house, Harbour Hotel, which I would highly recommend to anyone, anyone visiting Ipswich or Suffolk and surrounding areas.

Atmosphere was fantastic and so chill. Should stay here for watching the sunset and enjoy the dinner and beer!

A pleasant peaceful walk along the Waterfront. Ipswich Wet Dock. Completely changed over the years; we used to drive all the way.

Ipswich waterfront is a wonderful place and very beautiful. There are a lot of restaurants (book in advance on public holidays or if you are with the big group of people). Very unique waterfront to visit and explore. Pretty safe to walk at nights too. Personally enjoyed the walks and you can even go on a boat trip, to explore further.

Perfect place to have a quiet walk anytime any day while weekends are buzzing with classy restaurants.

What a beautiful and tranquil marina to just sit and watch a lovely sunset. Situated in the heart of Ipswich this location is perfect for the evening walk to see the quay. The area has lovely restaurants, cafe, bars around and Suffolk university campus. The marina is chained at the walking edge but still need to be careful. I Highly recomment this place.

Stayed at Salt House Harbour hotel which is located at the waterfront. So had a beautiful view of the Marina and the beautiful sky from the room window ❤️

Lovely house and surrounding grounds. Ashley gave us a very interesting and informative run down of the houses history and the families that have owned them. The paintings were fantastic and there are some really interesting rooms. We had a pram and could go around the ground floor using it and there was also the use of a child changing facility

Really impressive building, full of history and famous artists' pieces by Gainsborough and Constable. Free entry/donation. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

A beautiful mansion in the heart of Ipswich Town Centre, within the Christchurch Park. Ample parking all around, both free and paid. Great for walks, picnics or socialising and community events.

What a great time we had looking round the museum with the great Black panther costume display to the rooms set out in various time periods. The kids liked that each room offered something different and the adults loved the art and the history. Unlike some places we have visited recently this has obviously been taken care of and maintained pretty well so well done Ipswich borough council teams. For a free entry it's such a great thing to fill an hour or so and of course surrounded by the amazing park too.

Christchurch Mansion is a fantastic Grade 1 listed Tudor Mansion House free to enter and run by the Council . I found it very charming and an interesting step back in time . I was very fortunate that I visited when the Recreating Constable exhibition was on which was cool . I was surprised to see a painting of his called The Ascension having always related him to country scenes . It was a very entrancing painting I thought and worth the visit to see this alone . Unfortunately the exhibition is only temporary . Nonetheless the rest of the house is certainly worth seeing . It was built by one Edmund Withypoll around 1548 . In one room there was some 16th century painted wall panels which caught my eye at least . Thank God for our DIY stores I don't believe I could do as good a job as this . One room also had a collection of musical instruments including a Harp get them . Again my musical talents are zero and my voice even worse . By this time I had realised I would certainly have been divorced had I lived in the 1500s . There was a cool painting of the famous and talented Joshua Reynolds and one of Sarah Churchill I believe . A very interesting toy collection shows how to live before play station was around . Charming staff , interesting sights and a few hours well spent . Well worth visiting in my humble opinion .

We had a lovely day at Christchurch mansion with our kids. The park is fantastic, clean and good condition with plenty for all ages. Loads of open to space to run and play in. Some nice hilly bits for rolling down too! There is a duck pond where we saw ducks, geese, moorhen and a great cormorant. The mansion was lovely to walk around, with a gift shop and tea room (selling ice creams). We bought the I spy sheet for our older one to do, which cost £1 from the shop and keep him amused. There were also plenty of activities as we walked around including colouring and toys. We managed to park on a side road which had no limits and cost nothing on a Sunday. I would highly recommend a trip if you are in the area, especially if you have kids.

I hadn’t been to CCM for years, but I stumbled in on a rainy day last month - the place was fantastic. Interesting exhibits, friendly staff and a contemporary spin on lots of the objects in the collection. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Not many historical places that are still free to visit. Set in probably 90 acres of beautiful parkland & wildlife. Nice snacks all freshly made. Very interesting place to visit. Thanks Glen, Jorjia Matt & Lux.

Wonderful local resource. Great building, saw some artworks by Pissaro, turner, constable and Monet. It was free to enter and make contributions if wanted. Coffee shop has great cakes and food.

Interesting museum sitting in a beautiful park. Sue, the volunteer guide gave a brilliant tour. Well worth a visit and entry is free. There is a small café with freshly produced food and plenty of seating inside and outside.

Excellent museum run by the local Ipswich Council. Free access, although a donation would be nice. Lovely grounds with a lake and fountain, plenty of space for the kids to play. Supposedly, the largest collection of Gainsborough paintings in one place.

This place is so great,it has a big musuem and many things to see. You can see victoran age things and history related things. The whole mansion ticket is free. You can sit also and shops inside. Its worth visiting this place

Lovely cross between a stately home and an art gallery. Set in gardens on a slight hill just on the edge of Ipswich town, it's a pleasant and interesting place to visit. Volunteers are dotted around to provide information about various rooms if needed. And it's free!

Ever expanding and up to date, always a great place to visit. Plenty to do for the kids and plenty of events all year round. The animals are well kept as are all the equipment.

Hollow Trees Farm Trail is a fantastic place for the family. We've visited a few times with our grandkids, and it's always been a blast. The farm trail offers a range of activities suitable for kids of all ages (and us adults, too!). From pirate boats and rope swings to a soft-play area and even wellie wanging, there's never a dull moment. The pedal tractors and animal feeding areas are big hits with the little ones. We especially love the indoor and outdoor picnic areas—perfect for a relaxing lunch break. Plus, there is a snack hut offering confectionery, and hot & cold drinks. Hand washing stations are conveniently located throughout the farm, promoting cleanliness and hygiene—a definite plus, especially with young ones in tow. One of the highlights for the grandkids is purchasing bags of animal food to interact with the farm's friendly residents. Hollow Trees Farm Trail provides a full day of entertainment and learning. Overall, this is an excellent day out and offers fantastic value for money. I highly recommend it to families looking for a fun and memorable experience in beautiful surroundings.

Just got home after lovely visit to hollow trees farm. Due to covid haven't been in couple of years. What a lovely surprise some great changes to the layout, entrance and facilities. Excellent value farm trail at £6.50 each with some old friends like the giant chair and goat mountain plus new climbing Frames and changes to the cresta run tobbogans too. Even saw a calf being born awesome. Had lunch in the cafe and there again few changes to layout but still good value local food some of which comes from the farm or close by. Farm shop too got lovely produce and meats too, I love cheese so pleased with great selection. Got some Somerset cave aged cheddar which we love. Well done to all staff and management thanks for lovely day with my kids and my parents.

We all had a great time, though it would have been much better if we hadn't been stalked by a ride-on lawnmower. I get that it's something that needs doing, but is a Saturday afternoon really the best time? My head was banging by the time he stopped mowing & my Misophonia was going crazy. I swear he followed us everywhere we went, & we were actively trying to get away from him. The cow shed was the safe space, whoda thunk. Enjoyed food at the café & utilised the disabled parking, since I'm a blue badge holder. The staff were all friendly, if you pretend Lawnmower Man didn't exist. And it's always a laugh to see the Mother-in-law clinging to the top of a 10ft pole!

Visited for Sunday brunch. The bias is towards extensive cafe menus rather than full restaurant menu options. A wide variety of choice with limited vegan options.There is a children section to the menue.The food is high quality, most of it produced locally, with real flavour. The staff are very friendly & efficient.if you have the weather then take advantage of the outdoor seating, very peaceful. There seems to be a small premium on pricing, but you are receiving quality & freshness and in quite a pleasant setting. The cafe is adjacent to the farm shop You will find a great range of vegetables, fruit, plus other treats for your own kitchen. Parking is free and spacious. There is enough to entertain youngsters with a Farm trail which may help work up their appetites.

The farm trail is brilliant. We come here every half term! My kids love it, it’s grown so much over the years and keeps getting better and better (and the price goes up too to reflect that!) our favourite event is Halloween. They always have a creepy installation to walk around and the kids just love it! The farm shop is also very good, great quality of food we always buy fruit veg and something from the butchers when we visit the farm! We’ve only used the cafe for a hot drink in the colder months. Always a good selection of drinks, the cakes always look yummy but so far I have resisted temptation! Would recommend for a lovely day out with kids, and would definitely recommend the farm shop too.

Had a good few hours here today on the farm trail, great experience. The children loved the park with slides and climbing frames, loved riding the toy tractors. Enjoyed feeding animals such as goats and sheep. Saying hello to pigs and cattle. Then finishing off with drinks and ice cream. All left very tired.

We absolutely love this place, so far is best place we go in Suffolk area ,with children. It's so big and well looked after. Also so many different things to do for kids ,and so beautiful ❤️ path's to walk . Special day as today ,when was raining there,or kids still find under cover soft play area,and sand pit . Price for coffee and snacks a very reasonable. So it's a great bonus for all . And tickets yourself a cheap, so if you book online tickets 6£, if you buy them there is a 7 £ . Food for animals is 1 £ , probably 100 grams. Also was very nice found there is so many places when you can wash hands ,and water is warm so lovely.and big thanks for the special. It's a shame they not selling a annually ticket 🎟️ for family. But after all we still highly recommend for all .

This farm just gets better every year. So much for the kids to do including play areas, mini golf, tobogganing, tractor rides (toys and the real thing) and a maze. Not a huge amount of animals but enough. Nice coffee shop. I really think this place would benefit hugely from a coffee stand around the play area as that is where a majority of parents spend their time while the kids blow off some steam. I was gagging for one 😂

The farm has lots of activities for the kids, and lovely farm animals to see. The cafe has friendly staff and really good quality food. Fantastic family day out.

Amazing that 20 years ago this was a the shop, a single barn and 10 parking spaces. It's a bit bigger now. The shop, spot in for the higher end produce, it's very good quality stuff, definitely not what you get in a supermarket. Prices are reasonable though. Cafe has a good reputation and is always busy. Now the rest... And there is a lot. The animals, loads to see there and to feed. The dinosaurs, yep few of them. The playground, yes, lots of different activities for the kids to do. The maze maze (summer only lol). Fossil hunting. Shop. Cafe. Hot and cold drink vans and when we went a pizza van. Yep, loads going on especially at the weekends and holidays.

Nice park for walk with family, there is playing area for kids, also a lot of benches for everyone who want to sit, good nature,good air, recommended 🤗

We visited Holywells Park, and to be honest I was a little surprised to find this place - it was really nice! There's a few little paths that can be followed, and there is a nice mix of open areas where you can have a kick about with the kids, and tree areas to play hide and seek! The park has a kiosk to get a drink / food as well as a cafe. There are also some toilets, which are much needed if visiting with the kids! In the centre of the park is a large playground with a small splash area. We found the park to be tidy and clean, and having the kids playground in the middle didn't take away from the beauty of the rest of the park as it is surrounded by trees. Really impressed with this park, and will likely visit again at some point!!

Such a good place for kids. We were there for hours, my 3 year old really enjoyed it. Usually there's not a great selection for youngsters but this park is amazing. Also great for a nice walk

Visited the park with my baby in a stroller and it's been a nightmare for her as the paths are full of potholes and no way to "miss" them. Should also have a special place destinated for dogs as they're let free by people despite the warning at the entrance of the park so if you're frightened of dogs that's not a place to go. Such a shame as the park is well preserving the nature and it would be perfect if this things would've been sorted

One of the most beautiful parks in ipswich. So many tucked away back paths that lead to quiet areas, the whole park makes a lovely walk and the children's play area is also one of the best in ipswich. Been coming to this park my whole life, its so nice there.

My first time there and what a gem. Ipswich has some beautiful hidden treasures. Cafe wasn't open but we took sandwiches anyway (I didn't know there was a cafe). Water, woodland and acres of green space to cheer and calm the soul all beautifully looked after. Thank you

My favourite place. Such a beautiful park and well-run, with a kiosk cafe and loos open now during lockdown, next to the excellent children's play park. The Stables Cafe is also a lovely place to stop for tea and cake. Great for dog walking and full of friendly people.

Hollywell Park is so good, you can do picnic and much more. It's so big and everywhere is edible. It's an idyllic place and there's also a huge playground for kids. very peaceful and quiet place! I recommend it to you!

Nice theatre with good view of the stage, and decent sound. We saw Tim Peake speaking, and really enjoyed his show. The theatre handled the visuals well. My only minor gripe is that I am tall, and the seats don't give much leg room.

The place was clean and well kept. Staff where well presented, friendly and knowledgeable. Our experience watching Sarah Millican went without hitch. The staff and team ensured communication to ensure no customer was left unattended to. Great evening! We sat in P20+21 in the photos shown out view wasn't impeded by anyone in front and got a great view of sarah 😀

Seen a few shows here and all have been great inc comedy and illusionist. The seats are comfortable enough and all as expected from an old theatre. The show prices are reasonable and getting in and out before and after the show was ok not like some places that seem to take ages.

Absolutely amazing. We watched the last show of sister act. Just amazing. Everyone from man on the front door, bar staff,all staff to the actors. Just amazing.

Went to see Jack Whitehall, no queuing, easy to get to bars, simple layout, helpful staff and event was great. My sole gripes are having no cup holders in the chairs and £3 for a bag of sweets/chocolate is rather extortionate

Took our 4 year old to watch Hey Duggee Live. We decided to go for a box which was very cosy and a great view! Very friendly and helpful staff, made it a great experience! Even met one of the cast outside for a photo!

First time visit to the regent. Saw blood brothers on tour. Must say was a fantastic experience. Was duly welcomed upon arrival and staff were more than friendly and helpful. Foyer and refreshment areas clean tidy, well staffed and full of stock made for a great start to the afternoon. Main auditorium a little tired but that adds to the character, enjoyed every moment of the show which made my experience all the more pleasurable. Well done guys. 👍

Dexys, What a night!!! Lovely venue, first time coming here. Seats had plenty of legroom and were so comfortable. Drinks and snack shop was open before the show, toilets were clean. Staff were helpful and kind, near by car parks in a short walking distance of the theatre.

Great venue and very helpful staff. Queues were massive outside but staff were very quick at getting us in. We went 11.05.24 to see Fishermans Friends 🧡

The venue is easily accessed but does not have a lift for the upper circle. It does have a lift from entrance from ground floor to disabled access though so wheelchairs are not excluded and get the best seats. The seating is tight, with very little leg room if you are tall, or short, as you cannot sit back and straighten legs without kicking the seat in front.The sound system could do with being a bit louder as some words are lost during the show. (Hearing impaired problem). Having said that, the staff are excellent, the bars take cash and card, and the toilets are clean, although packed during the break! Get there early! Great local venue for shows if you have no mobility problems.

Absolutely amazing. Cannot rave about the staff enough. We've just taken our 4 year old to his first panto and unbeknown to us he was hysterical. He was scared of the characters, didn't like the noise, the dark etc and so I sat with him outside. They got us some ear defenders to help reduce the noise levels and some figit toys for him to play with and moved us into a private box so that he could have some space but still watch the panto. They really didn't have to do that and we are so appreciative. He even ended up staying until the end and enjoying some of it. It made the complete difference. I cannot thank the staff enough. I honestly thought we were going to have to leave 10 mins in but thankfully we were able to turn it around.

Went last night to see the sky at night, great show, sellout. Sound wasn't great but just a bit loud at times, mind I am 64 now. Well done all. Felt very welcome and safe. Good staff, quick turnaround of very long queue. See you again, soon I hope.

A great evening out to see the Bootleg Beatles... The theatre staff were very friendly and helpful and the venue was not too big, just right for the performance and we were so close to the stage.

Easy to access as park and ride stops directly outside. Friendly staff, speedy entry. Plenty of bar staff and reasonable bar prices. Compact theatre with good view. Comfy seats and managed to exit quickly at the end. Fabulous production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Saw Ozzy and Twisted Sister here in 1986! I was from a small town in Ohio, 18 yrs old and was in the US Air Force stationed at RAF Bentwaters. I was very lucky and grateful to be in the right place at the right time and cherish my time in the UK!

I love the mammoth as you enter and that it was apparently under a school! It is such a great place to go and for free!!!! Sadly it is shut at the time I wrote this but it is still a great place and I can’t wait for it to re-open.

Free entry! It was such a great experience and I have plenty of photos of the animals. I definitely suggest going with family or somewhere to take photos or to look at history. I went with my family and we took many selfies, I absolutely love it! I took a quick survey as leaving. I put in a £10 note in the donations box because tickets would've costed more and it was an amazing experience anyways.These are only 2% of the photos I took

This place is a hidden gem. Never been before and lived here for years. Went on Saturday around 11am. It wasn't too busy which I loved as I suffer with anxiety and being around crowds. Going into the museum your greeted with a welcome desk, a lovely little shop and a view of the museum infront of you. The staff are absolutely lovely and really helpful. Me and my partner wandered around for a couple of hours! I was shocked by how big the place was. So many interesting bits of information. I took quite a few pictures although it was hard to take some due to reflections and light. This place has a lot to offer. Very informative and fun things to look at. I read previous reviews which only gave a few stars and they are absolutely embarrasing. Someone leaving a review saying they fell down the stairs and the place is a bit run down?. What? The whole of the museum was clean and tidy and very well looked after. The toilets were tidy and clean and even the gift shop looked pleasing. A few more people did come in as time went on, but it's spacious enough to let people past without being too close. This museum really was lovely to walk around and I will definitely go back!.

Good and on two levels with cafe.we who like to get value for rates and bus revenue come in on wet days and use the toilet 🚽. The hand dryers are state of the art german and built to last .

It's closed for refurbishment until 2025 Supposedly Ipswich Museum will reopen then, but might actually receive some visitors if the local Council can be bothered to tell anybody this place even exists. Excellently displayed exhibits in traditional glass & wood cabinets, alike the national museums in the City. The red-brick building is impressive enough, but the interior is something else. Fantastic exhibits that are seen by a few who know that the museum is there, which cannot be many considering how secretive the site seems to be known to visitors to the town...

2021: So much has changed since I last visited, approx 2012. It has all been suitably updated and appears modern (as far as a museum can seem modern) and clean. The displays are engaging. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They said we could take as many photos as we liked as long as we didn't use flash. We spent ages in the first big hall with all the animals in. We enjoy going to the zoo, but to see a giraffe, gorillas, wolves, zebras and other animals we see at the zoo, so close, was very intriguing for my children (4 and 6). We used the little magazine they sell for 50p and got a 50p pencil too. My 6 year old enjoyed searching for the animals inside and ticking them off. All of the artefacts are genuine and the animals are all real animals, beautifully taxidermied (except for the giant mammoth - which a staff member told me has the same hair that Chewbacca has in Star Wars). The punishment chairs for whipping and dunking were rather disturbing to my children and couldn't be avoided as were on the main route. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have this disturbing area to one side in an offset room with a warning label to parents that children may find it disturbing (so they can choose to avoid it) We spent an hour inside and hadn't finished but it was closing time. The staff used an old police rattle to alert us that it was time to leave. I liked that touch. Well worth a visit!!

Very lovely museum a lot to learn from and a must visit museum in Ipswich as well. The museum consists of three levels and separated into different sections too. You can take children as well and they can do some fun activities and learn about history war, nature and wildlife too.

Great old fashioned museum with a real variety of displays but particularly eild animals and birds. There was also a great film on Sutton hoo and a display of a horde if gold coins found in 2008 dating back to Beaudicea. This was a temporary exhibit I think.

Loved it. plenty of activities for younger kids. Exhibitions provide a depth of fascinating historical knowledge of both the local area, as well as a broader but more general insight into history of different cultures around the world.

We visited today and had such a lovely morning. All staff were super friendly and smiley, this was really lovely and made us feel very welcome. We live very close by and can't believe we have never been before. I had my baby in a pram anf access was super easy. Tracks were very muddy in places but this is absolutely expected, its a farm! Wear your wellies and get stuck in! Will definitely come back soon. It was wholesome and fun. Really impressed. Thank you ⭐️

Absolutely fantastic place to visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful, my daughter had a accident and I could not fault the staff as they were brilliant providing first aid (even giving my daughter treats to cheer her up) highly recommend visiting. A big thank you to all at the farm. You can see all the animals are very well looked after.

We went for a party and it was fab The children got to stroke rabbits. Get in with the piglets, groom a horse. They went round the whole farm feeding all the animals. The staff were lovely and nothing was to much for them. Lots of different animals also to see and feed. And all loved a fuss. The facilties were nice and clean and everything was at a reasonable price. We will definitely be going back. Be prepared for lots of walking and remember to save some food as there are lots of animals further round. We also found the den building bit and spent a good hour in there. Also be warned the children will come home happy and possibly slightly grubby.

First time visiting Baylam Rare Breeds. It was honestly brilliant. Highlights were definitely the Highland Cows and holding a baby Lamb. My little girl loves feeding the animals. It was extremely busy, but died down in the afternoon which was nice. The cafe was nice, great for a pit stop. Will definitely come back.

Great places to visit, family and disabled friendly, animals are all well looked after and its really nice being able to feed and interact with them. the Cattle yard Kitchen has delicious food, i recommend the pulled pork and salad

Lovely day out on the farm. Children loved feeding the animals, lamb cuddling, den building and playing on the playground. Typically spend 4-5hrs here. Food is available, we took a picnic, but brought hot drinks.

Went to Baylham House in the summer and again on Saturday 3rd of December to visit Father Christmas. I mean my daughter did question why Father Christmas was young, when he's always old in films 😂 But other than that lovely place. Started to be one of my favourite places to go since visiting a couple of times now. My daughter loves feeding sheep and goats more than anything else. She also loved being able to brush the pony over the weekend she was really happy with that, such a lovely touch to a sweet visit. Will definitely be back to visit again in the new-year 🥰

Fantastic trip to cuddle the new lambs on the farm. Huge queue to enter, as to be expected for half term, however the staff on the gate were super efficient and we were in, in no time. Friendly staff too who were keen to make sure we knew where we were going.

This was such a lovely find. All the animals were adorable, and we had a leisurely walk around and took loads of photos, definitely a place for adults & children alike.

Headed out to Baylham House as had seen they had a Christmas Fair on today. Well, they had about 10 stalls. Wasn't the best at all. To start with we thought there was knot 2 as the others were hidden from view and no signs etc. Anyway, we had a nice time looking at the animals and I'm sure if you were to visit with young children or with the plan to see the animals, it would be lovely, but that wasn't what we came for today.

Went Good Friday which was very busy with queues for everything. Plenty of parking in a field with a 5 min walk to the farm. Good size farm, the staff were friendly and the animals seemed well looked after and happy. Holding the lambs and feeding the cows were our highlights!

Great day out with the family. Lots of animals to feed and little pigs running around. Enjoyed the pumpkin patch 🎃. The food is fantastic and is well priced. It’s a shame that a few walk ways were closed due to flooding. My son loved the park. We will be back again to explore the rest of the farm.

We had such a great time, we came during the Easter holidays. We got to cuddle some lambs and my daughter got to brush a goat! We got given some bags of animal food at the entrance. The kids really enjoyed feeding the sheep. Nice play area. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. No waiting to get in. Overall I would recommend. We will be back.

We had a great time at the farm. This was our first visit. Once we got through the entrance, it was a little confusing on where to go. but once we got into the animal fields, my toddler had a great time! It was perfect for him. It wasn't overcrowded. It was great that he met the friendly animals at his own pace. It was a perfect afternoon! The food was pretty good too.

This is great. A nearly 50 year old dad and a 5 year old son for two hours. You can climb aboard the buses, ring the bell and see so much. Not a large museum but great value. If you do have young children be aware the toys shop is as you walk in so be ready for "I want".

The transport museum always impress me with their event days. The friendliness of the staff she the fabulous exhibits make every visit a joy - and we have been quite a few times now!

We were in Suffolk for a few days- The Ipswich Transport museum was the highlight! Great stewards, decent coffee- but most importantly- really interesting exhibits with good, detailed information. The steward that spoke about the electric tram was particularly good and went out of his way to share his knowledge. Many Thanks for a great visit in this extraordinary time!

It's quite clear a huge amount of time and love had gone into repairing and restoring so many of the exhibits. You can even go into some of them. Huge credit must go to the volunteers and all involved with the museum. Reasonably priced cafe on site too. Well worth a visit.

Great to visit. The staff are good and friendly. Little parts for the young ones to enjoy. My little boy of almost 2 enjoyed himself loads.

This is a lovely museum with a vast array of vehicles. The level of restoration they have achieved on the trolly buses is incredible. It is all run by local volunteers, and if you are lucky take the opportunity to be shown around. Our guide was so passionate and knowledgeable, it really enhanced the visit. The receptionist had actually gone to school on one of the old buses when a child! Parking is on the road next to the museum and there were plenty of spaces when we went. A small tea room is also available for refreshments.

Lovely visit from beginning to end. Well worth the two hour drive from East London. Warm welcome on entering. Staff (all volunteers) were kind, polite, friendly and helpful. Best were a husband and wife (both in their 90s but look a lot younger!) Lovely display of vehicles, bicycles, ploughs and lawnmowers, preserved to a very high standard. Went on a 'round the block' ride on a vintage double-decker bus, complete with a conductor giving out tickets! Could have left my 83 year old day playing on the miniature railway set! Childrens' play area available, small cafe and toilets. All areas were clean and tidy. Everything on the ground floor, so accessibly friendly. Parking available on side street. Would definitely recommend.

I've visited a few museums recently with my father. I have to say this museum is by far the best we've seen covering transport. The place maybe called 'Ipswich Transport Museum' but it very much tells the story of the history of transport in the UK. We went with the expectation of the museum being fairly small, it isn't. The collection on display is extensive and is lovingly cared for. There is a cafe on site, parking is close by on a public road. The museum charges a standard admission fee for adults of about £7.50. It's well worth the money. Definitely worth visiting, one of the best museums in the region. We really enjoyed the visit.

Had a wonderful time as a family of 3 (2 adults & 5yr old) Calm atmosphere with helpful staff that are more than happy to help when asked and very knowledgeable regarding all the vehicles of transportation. Very reasonable priced cafe and gift shop. All round a lovely experience. 5 star🌟

Really good place and have been many times! But is very very noisy so people who don’t like loud noises should probably bring ear defenders as they can help. But I enjoy it so much and the atmosphere is amazing! There is a bar for people who want a drink, they also have food, lots of seating, access for disabled and an astroturf outside of the stadium. They also have two mascots bluey and crazy! Go on you blues!!!

Not bad. They treat away supporters a bit like cattle. The bar area is like a dark dinghy prison landing. Normal rip off prices. I don't drink anyway but if you do. Security Guards everywhere.

Top class stadium worthy of a Premier League team - well, one day. Excellent atmosphere, good visibility and friendly stewards. Also, it’s very close to the train station and the town centre.

The new owners have done some incredible things here and it’s clear that they have a long term plan for the club. There’s 2.5 million been spent on a brand new pitch with heating and irrigation, they’ve purchased the old staples and fitness first land to expand the plot, there new vinyls and everywhere has been given a long needed lick of paint. Much nicer place to be, and great to see the club doing so well.

Great atmosphere and good crowds. One of the rew grounds that you always feel safe. In or out of the stadium. Take your kids. They will love the experience.

OK, so my partner and I move to suffolk about a year ago I was slightly more into football than she was however had no specific team to support .However we decided on the month that we moved in to go to watch a match at portman road. We have been probably 4 or 5 times since moving here. The staff and stewards are always very friendly. It seems a fantastically positive place to be with virtually youth gravation at all. Obviously at these type of games, there will always be 1 or 2 but predominantly a very funny. I know we've picked a good. Year to start, but I genuinely think the overall. This place has a really positive vibe as well as doing a lot for the community. There is easy parking outside. Should you go to a game which is amazing and the shop? Staff are always very helpful and on hand should you need them? I now class myself as a newbie pswich Town fan. And I look forward to returning department road many times as the years go by.

First visit for a long time. Great atmosphere, well organised, tickets were very reasonable and the seats in the lower stand were good. The chicken pie at half time was awesome too.

Was there for one of the kids football training camps. Staff were great in the shop, friendly and helpful. Coaching staff are superb..... all round fantastic place to be.

I have nothing but love, admiration and respect for this great football club and its supporters. I watched the Championship match against Sunderland AFC and the atmosphere was electric from start to finish. The legroom on my seat wasn’t in abundance but I love the fact that the seats are slightly elevated so my knee was hitting against the back of the seat in front of me. Parking is available opposite the stadium 🏟️ but getting out of the car parks after the match is the greatest headache of all. I really love this place and I cannot recommend Ipswich Town FC high enough. I definitely would like to return.

Beautiful place to walk around ( although it's quite a trek ) It's hilly in places. But theirs plenty of places to stop rest and take in the view's. Theirs loads to do, from water activitys, kids play area, bike hire and even some highland cow's. And don't forget the cafe, it's not the cheapest but the food is really good quality, so well worth the money. I highly recommend a visit, we will definitely visit again. Just don't forget your walking boots 👍🏼

Amazing place! What a fantastic use of a reservoir & all the great things you can do in & around the place. If only the rest of the country was as organised & resourceful. A campsite next door too! Must be heaving all summer! Well done guys!! 👍👍

Superb facility for enjoying watersports in a place with some of the best scenery in Suffolk...

I dunno. If sailing or paddle boarding or kayaking is your thing then this place is probably very good? We meandered around on a pedalo and it was perfectly fun.

Putting up hire prices 33% in a year is simply ridiculous. £30 an hour a dingy completely prices out most people. Join a sailing club for a couple of hundred or go somewhere else as it really is t worth the price here.

Great place to walk the dog around the lake. 8 miles in total. Lovely views over lake and good Water Sports Centre catering for beginners to advanced alike.

Good place a hangout on lazy afternoon & on sunny day. We opted for Boat ride and it was late by 15 mins, we couldn’t catch our scheduled bus because of this delay. But great place , nice cafeteria. Pizza and sandwiches options available.

Amazing location for a family afternoon/morning. Contains a great playground for the kids, café, and features HIGHLAND COWS.

Great place for a kayak. Water may be cold if you fall in, but we didn’t so it was very nice. The staff were lovely and the time we got was quite generous. £17 per kayak.

Alton water is near my daughters school so I often visit if I'm alittle early to have a hot drink whilst watching the boats or wildlife meander by. Parking is payable, there's good facilities on site including two cafes, a watersports centre, cycle hire, crazy golf, Fishing and children's playground. This year I believe they are set to open a beach area for swimming and paddling. You can walk or cycle the surrounding area and the Highland cattle onsite are adorable. Lovely place to spend a few hours or a whole day.

Christmas Eve at Alton Water Sports Centre Our family's adventure was a blend of thrill and festive cheer. Braving the wet and windy weather, we enjoyed an exhilarating 8-mile bike ride around the scenic circuit; with hills that the boys enjoyed riding down! Post-ride, the cafe was a cozy haven where we treated ourselves to a cup of tea, the boys had ice cream and the standout - a delicious mince pie shortbread slice from helpful and happy staff. The centre's mix of outdoor excitement and comforting amenities made our visit memorable. Highly recommended for a family outing!

Love this place really good dog walk , been here three times since I found this place last summer, can even get a lil cheeky game of mono gold in after your walk will be coming back again for 😊

Plenty of food choice, alcohol and non alcohol drinks, can bring your own food but may be bag searched. Great day out, bring your own seat or use on site seating. Reasonably priced but tasty food hard to find.

Went to the fireworks gala 2023, the racing was brillent but got to say the process to collect your tickets was a joke massive que to collect your advanced tickets, so missed a bit at the start while stuck in thr que, The loud speakers only worked on one side so we could not hear what the speaker was saying etc, Food was OK, bit it was a good night just better solution for advanced tickets rather than how it is right now.

Not a bad day out,a little expensive to get in.now one queue for e tickets, One queue for cash One queue for card. Bloodh ridiculous hardly any stewards there telling people the correct directions never mind hardly anything signposted for what is what.parking is reasonable,(£2). But totally disorganized on entry. Loved all the racing,but the caravan of love race was the best.ha ha.great laugh.

Good course. Had lovely family day at bangers/caravan destruction. But organisation's to enter was the worst ever been. Over 1 hr walking pace queueing... only 1 Marshall to show to spare car parking spaces!!! Terrible organisation

There is no else we love to spend time as a family. Everyone makes my special needs son feel relaxed and calm and are always ready to help him if he needs it. The staff are very kind and make it special for us to visit especially Mark who runs the pits he always happy to help.

Love the Gala Fireworks nights with Bangers and Stock cars, always great to watch! Only wish is the light up scoreboard worked during races so u can see running positions while the race is on.

Took my son and brother for the season finale and fireworks on 5 Nov. Never been before but we all loved it and can't wait to go again next year. Points to note.. get there early seating gets busy. Take a fold up chair in case. The food stalls do decent food but queues were long. The merch shop is reasonably priced and worth a look. The banger racing is thrilling.
