Wonderful choice of books on art and other matters. Inspirational place. The art is amazing...the gallery space outstanding. Friendly helpful staff (we asked to leave our suitcase as we were staying over and didn't want to drag it round with us). We return annually for gifts, cards etc. And always will

What an absolutely spectacular building this is. Once used to produce alpaca wool suits, it has been beautiful maintained and is now home to art galleries, shops and a wonderful diner. Spent a couple of hours here and could definitely have spent longer. Absolutely loved it.

It was hard to guess from just looking at the building built in 1853, that it would have so much information about the history of Salt Mills, a beautiful gallery of paintings by the famous David Hockney, creating using an iPad, an amazing cafe & diner, antique & jewelry section, beautiful display of 3D paper cards, really showed the much appreciated “Making” culture of the folks of the Saltaire village society. I was overall very impressed with the plethora of ingenious Artwork and vintage collection, that I mostly saw in the movies, absolutely loved being here!!!Outside of the salts mill, was a beautiful park for friends & families to spend quality time in nature together:)

This place was absolutely fabulous. I had no idea about the history of Saltaire and was in awe of it. The video presentation which was roughly 40-50 minutes was hugely informative. There's something for everyone here be it art, architecture, history, eateries, antiques. Well worth a visit. My only regret is that I didn't have enough time to fully take in all the information about the production side of things. You could easily spend a full day here!

Stunning grade 2 listed former textile mill in Saltaire, near Bradford. The main thing that draws visitors to here is the marvellous collections of David Hockney art, which is housed on a couple of the floors. The whole building makes for a great day out. There's galleries, shops, cafes and an exhibition about the history and working processes of the old mill. It's got plenty of free parking and toilet facilities.

A beautifully preserved Victorian mill building with a huge capacity. The main attraction is the world's largest David Hockney art collection, which is creatively mixed in with Victorian ceramics and artefacts from the mill, and spread over the ground and top floors. There are also exhibitions from other local artists, a room dedicated to the history of the mill, an impressive bookshop, a beautiful home store, a jewellery designer showroom, and an antiques emporium. Plenty to keep you occupied for a while then! And when you start to flag, there's a choice of two excellent quality cafes, serving hot food and wine, as well as the usual coffee and cakes, and it's table service too. There are also loos on every floor. Such a well organised space, and a well thought out visitor experience. Loved it!

Had a good time at the Mill and surrounding areas with our three young children, despite heavy rain all day. The gallery spaces are fantastic, as are the art supplies and bookshop. We didn't eat at the cafes, the food looked good but we were just looking for sandwiches, which they don't really cater for unfortunately. Roberts Park has a good playground for the kids and the Half Moon cafe has some good paninis, toasties, cakes etc. at reasonable prices. Will visit again in spring to hopefully get more out of the place.

I wish I lived closer to this place. Went here with relatives from the area and thoroughly enjoyed it. A huge mill converted into a multi use venue with an art gallery, bookshop, food hall and upmarket shop selling designer housewares. The art gallery is fantastic with plenty of different artists but with a big David Hockney theme. Great day out for art lovers.

What an incredible place this is! I love the history behind it all and the philanthropy is evident all around. Artworks, home furnishings and large restaurant complete the experience. You can also walk along the canal towpath to bingley ( only 3 miles away) to see the amazing five rise locks.

Visited on a bank holiday monday and there were a number of Hockney exhibitions open to the public. There are also a number of shops including a very good book shop. Cafe and restaurant was bustling and looked good but did not stop for food. The building is huge and I was drawn by the sheer quantity and quality of York stone slabs used to make up the flooring. Substantial!

Beautiful place to visit. Plenty of free parking and disabled parking near to the entrance. Visited the David Hockney exhibition which was wonderful and well laid out. Plenty of opportunity to purchase souvenirs in the shop. The shop is also well stocked with books and gifts. Lift available to all floors. Restaurant is lovely but disappointed that the coffee shop was closed. Food was delicious and served beautifully. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic venue on a rainy day.Wonderful cafe but make sure you book.The art gallery is fascinating, amazing antique curios, superb quirky, unique design shop and a bookshop to rival the best.

I adore this place, as a media person who is interested in art, then this is the place to come. It has everything shops, Cafes , I went there with my daughter and her boyfriend, who both enjoyed the experience, The Hockney gallery is amazing , if you’re in the area, then it’s the place to come ! Absolutely top-notch

Love visiting this place … art supplies on the ground floor, go up a level for books, resturant, art, shops and the “kitchen/home shop” which is amazing. Great for a mooch and to collect ideas , contemplate the next direction on a project. Kinda works for kids but depends on their interests … remember you can catch a train here and there is the canal … so lots to see

Absolutely loved it here! Been saying I wanted to visit for ages, finally went and I'm glad I did! I was mesmerised by the video that was played, really enjoyed learning the history of Titus Salt and his empire and values... Well worth a visit!

Just a fabulous space for art,shopping and eating. A must visit for Hockney aficionados. Interesting historical section as well. You could easily spend a few hours here.

The Mill is so imposing and very large, set over acres! The Hockney exhibition and crafts in the Mill hall we're also very interesting. We loved the industrial architecture. More fascinating ,for us, was the village of Saltaire. The Town Hall is grand, The United Reformed church unusual, and the Victorian terraces very quaint. We were lucky to get chatting to a local great grandmother, proud to live there, and telling us local history (thanks Betty!)

An amazing place to visit for either couples, families or friends wanting to know the history about Bradford and media from around the world. It’s free and easy to book online. Parking will need to be found a few minutes away near the uni but you should be able to get something for free. There is paid parking nearby. We went on the weekend and it was fairly quiet and plenty of staff presence The premises are immaculate, all items are displayed perfectly and there is lots of different options for everyone. Highly recommend to visit. A great place and really pleased it is in Bradford. There are people who travel miles for this museum and it is on our doorstep! Theres a great 80s gaming facility and it has street fighter pac man etc and it is £2 a session. Staff are friendly, donations are recommended but not mandatory. A fun, informative activity to do! Very nostalgic for those born before 2000’s!

Awesome! Fun for all ages. The history of photography, media, the Internet... so much to learn. The kids had fun doing th3 ciphers. The space exhibition was cool. It was interesting to see and feel the materials used for space pants. The interactive section was a nice touch. 6 (5) floors of fun. The science show was fun. It was about coding. Jerry brought Ada Lovelace, Alan Turing and Mary Jackson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Katherine Johnson (The Hidden Figures) to life. Everyone was engaged. The rocket test was the perfect ending. Fun day out. All indoors so the bad weather didn't spoil the fun. Definitely worth a visit. Don't forget to book tickets in advance online.

Amazing place for a family day out! 6 floors of interesting galleries end exhibitions. To top it off an IMAX 3D experience. We watched "walking with dinosaurs" and it was awesome! Entrance to the museum is free but you need to book a time slots. And IMAX you have to book tickets for before hand as well and pay for them. There's a car park just behind the museum building and we paid £3 for 3 hours.

Superb day out. Parked nearby for a reasonable cost (Sharpe Street Car Park). Free entry. Really loved the exhibitions all though some were closed and the museum will be closed soon for 13 months! The cafe was nice and staff showed care in all they did. Staff were all pleasant and friendly. The Light Show was also enjoyed by the all the children. This was in the Wonderlab which was my favourite space. The game area is worth it for £2 each but don't expect anything less than 15 years old (minimum) which is fair. There's also an indoor picnic space if you are on a budget and want to bring your own food. We spent 5 or so hours there without seeing an Imax show but did have 2 young children in tow.

Pleasantly surprised! Loads of interactive activities for the kids, although a number were broken when we visited. Interesting for all ages with everything from old computers, to 1980's arcade games, to fascinating histories of spying, to old kids TV programmes, to an IMAX (3D) cinema. Also a lovely cafe to recharge your batteries!

We came on a Saturday afternoon after booking tickets online that morning. You are asked to make a voluntary donation and it is £2 per person for the games room which I cannot recommend highly enough. The museum is on 5 floors and we spent 4 hours in total exploring it. I think we spent about an hour in the games room which is full of old arcade games such as space invaders and pacman plus some old console games. There is a whole floor dedicated to photography with cameras going back 130 years. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and as a free museum it is great.

It's Free, and to be honest I'd quite happily pay to visit. Well presented and great content. The exhibits really take you down memory lane and there is some good "hand on" exhibits. Both me and the kid could easily spend pretty much all day here. Yes you have to pay for parking but to be fair it's not that much and it's just behind the museum. Really is well worth the visit.

I love this place, I could spend days there. What was disappointing this time was, there were no new exhibits and the person signing people in was very insistent on visiting the Kodak exhibit. The wonderlab is always fun for those interested in basic science. The video game exhibit was closed.

Was extremely over crowded on our last visit. Its quite silly now how it is because although its free u need to make a donation which is fine however u need tickets for different sections. The old style computer games area tickets had all gone and that's £2 per person to enter in there. Not as fun as it used to be. Better for older children rather than under 10s. Some of the sections were closed off.

A nice day out for the family, lots to see. The dinosaur 3D experience is great for children. There is an interactive floor for children to learn too including a small mirror maze.

Not a bad museum at all. There are quite a few floors to look around but doesn't take long to get around at all. The museum could do with maybe having a few more exhibitions but that may be just my opinion. When we went, the museum was over crowded and extremely noisy due to a school trip. There was only 1 teacher and a very large group of children that weren't supervised and you couldn't hear yourself think and you couldn't go on most of the interactive stuff as they wouldn't let you have a go and I didn't want to be rude and tell them. When you did get to look at things, you felt rushed because the children were constantly near you watching you. We even had the teacher interfere when we couldn't work something out! Quite rude in my opinion. But the place was nice and had very interesting pieces of history about the Internet, cameras, animation, and science. Would recommend but doesn't take long to look around so it's good for about a 2 hour trip.

The cafe looks lovely and quaint. Well, looks are deceiving and what befell me next is what I’d call the great baked potato tragedy. Two tiny spuds (McCain’s microwave ones are bigger), total cost. £8 with tuna and coleslaw - the spuds were burned to a crisp. I know the lady knew this as she split them to add the fillings, and she still sold them! Not sure how you turn spuds into rocks, bonfires have yielded better results - two cute small potato’s who never got to fulfil their destiny, instead they became coal. Nearly took my teeth out as I’m not one to give up without a fight, alas this was a lost battle, the poor fork also went to plastic heaven.

Called in for Sausage sandwich and an egg sandwich. 1 tea & 1 cappuccino. Walked down to Roberts Park to eat. My sausage was obviously yesterday's re heated black burnt and stale. Tge cappuccino had a tea bag in it. Not difficult is it. Shan't be calling again

I love this place! The staff are always friendly and chatty and they make the best cheese sandwich in the land! Not stingy with the fillings either , very generous and you get a bowl of crisps. Their hot chocolate is 10 out of 10 with lots of whipped cream on top and marshmallows if requested ( although I'm vegetarian so I just have with the cream).

Arrived at 1.40 on Saturday order 4 hot sandwiches. Was made to feel like we was putting the staff out a little due to the time as the time was mentioned before they agreed to make them. Sandwiches themselves where nice.

I ordered a large turkey salad sandwich, the lady on the till used her bare hands to throw it together without any hand washing before or after. Even when she has been handling money and whatever else before she made it! The rest of the cooked food was spot on and zero complaints very nice! lovely location just let down after watching the food been made…

Really disappointing lunch. This was my ham salad for £3.95!! Absolutely shocking and to be told after this was made that there was no salad for my second sandwich which still cost £3.95 for an egg and cucumber. No attempt to slightly reduce costs or offer a sincere apology

Asked for a well done bacon sandwich with runny yolk. Felt like I was putting the staff out, the women anyway, a young boy was quite pleasant. Sandwich took a while to come, which I wouldn't mind if it was worth eating. The bacon was like concrete and the yolk wasn't runny but the white was 🤮. £5.85 for an inedible sandwich and drink with poor customer service.

Best place to eat in saltaire! Large portions, amazing prices, both sweet and savoury options, and most importantly really lovely staff. Highly recommend if you’re visiting salts mills - skip their long restaurant queue and come here!

I'd have to call this place "divine" the pasties are gorgeous. I normally get the cheese and onion, Jamaican or the feta and spinach. They also have vegan options. The jacket potatoes are a nice size portion. There's space to sit inside but I normally get a takeout. I've been coming here for years and I feel their pasties are far superior with good amount of filling and the pastry part is always flaky and well seasoned.

Small-town bakery with indoor eating area. Wonderful choice of tempting baked goods and hot/cold sandwiches and drinks. Good value and great atmosphere. Excellent.

Used to be a good spot but seems to have gone down hill. Asked for tuna mayo salad, bread was dry, small amount of filling and the only salad was 6 slices of tomato and a few scraps of red onion. If you don't have the right ingredients to make what a customer asked for then let them know and let them make the choice. Don't serve them something not up to scratch and still charge them for it!

The sandwiches and sausage rolls here are really good. Quick service and friendly staff. Well worth a visit

Five stars for the vegan sausage roll!! The best one I have eaten anywhere, ever. I don't know what's in it, but it's tastier than the piggy one! Try it! But 🤫 let's keep it quiet so they don't sell out!

The Cheese sandwich was absolutely amazing and the bread roll was so soft. The atmosphere for the tables are quite small so we had to take ours to go. I definitely recommend. I will be coming back

I was served by a very rude lady. She stopped listening to my order mid sentence so she could listen in to what another member of staff was talking about, I had to repeat myself and was met with very blunt replies to my questions about the product's. She used zero manners not even please and thank you when taking payment. I am autistic and was made to feel extremely awkward by a very rude member of staff. Food was very good although for obvious reasons I won't be returning.

Had two steak bakes never again. Mine, the pastry was soggy and greasy and the steak was missing! Absolutely tasteless. My partners steak tasted and looked like cat food. We both didn't eat them. Absolutely disgusting. Overpriced. Should rename the place, the cat food bakery.

Matthew Bourne's Edward Scissorhands matinee performance. Mid Row V with a good clear view of the stage due to a nice slope. The seats are small, narrow yet comfortable, but what do you expect from an old theatre. The staff were polite and helpful. £4 for a small tub of ice cream, I'm sure it's the going rate but still pricey. Returning in a couple of weeks to see Wicked, an accessible and nice place for shows.

Me and the family went to see "Wicked" at the Alhambra,it was the first time in there for us and it was really good,its a bigger theatre than Wakefield I think, felt bigger,you know! I would highly recommend leaving yourself enough time to find parking,walk to the theatre,sit in the bar, and have a drink before the performance,then you get the time to take it all in! I love the decor in these old theatre's...So much better than being sat in front of the TV! Everything about the evening was 5* for me! Loved it! Go on! Go...x

A beautiful theatre with a wide variety of shows. The Broadway car park is about 10 mins walk away. There are bars within the theatre with some food being served during the day. Toilets on the ground floor and also the dress circle area.

Went to see Rocky Horror picture show. What an amazing time we all had. Great to see so many poeple get dressed up for the occasion. The venue was brilliant.

The Alhambra is a fantastic venue to enjoy some entertainment. You can enjoy a drink at the bar before watching the show. Then, make your way down to sit in the comfortable seats. We've always had a brilliant time here.

A truly ornate and beautiful theatre. Glorious architecture, especially the lovely paintings high above the stage. Also an excellent venue to see some top class shows, musicals and brilliant productions direct from London's west end. This year's pantomime at the Alhambra, Cinderella starring Billy Pearce is also a must for any panto lovers.

Absolutely amazing. We go about once a year and have always left feeling amazed. Recently saw Wicked (photos below) and it’s definitely the best one yet. (Although Billy Pearce is an absolute legend)

We have been coming here for years for pantomimes and shows. It's such a lovely theatre, it feels so grand. All the seats have a great view and tickets aren't badly priced. They still do the snacks/icecreams during the interval and the staff are all really helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

Watched Inspector Calls. Busy Saturday evening. Snacks/drink were expensive so being your own! Although it was very off putting when audience members were opening crisp packets and eating unaware its disturbing for others . Seats not the most comfortable, not much leg room. Our seats where in dress circle. Staff were informative and friendly.

Dirty Dancing Went to see Dirty Dancing on the 10th of October at the Alhambra. Fabulous energy, awesome dancing, singing & musicians Such a fantastic night, I would definitely recommend seeing. Such a gorgeous building. I love the film & definitely thought this came a close second. Great night, great venue & all the staff were really friendly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went to see Wicked, my first time in the theatre! The play was absolutely fantastic and the cast were amazing and so talented. More air conditioning needed and not much legroom but overall a good experience!

I am a regular visitor and have never been disappointed by any of the shows - fabulous range to suit all tastes. Lovely helpful staff. Easy to book online. Pity the wine is 75p a glass more than the Grand in Leeds

I have never visited a theatre with more friendly and helpful staff. First time visitors but we will be back and would recommend it to anyone. Facilities were good and disabled parking extremely close. Thank you so much

Went to see The Life of Pi show it was absolutely brilliant. The effects and puppetry of the animals were exceptional. A wonderful story.

Myself and a group of friends had our first experience her yesterday watching the absolutely stunning performance of Wicked. The staff on kiosk and helping around the site were all really friendly. We sat specifically near the bar on the dress circle level before the show and were well looked after by a very charming and friendly chap who checked in with us to make sure everything was OK and answered any questions we had, ensuring we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience throughout the evening. The building itself is quite nice as well, lovely internal decor throughout. I will definitely come back to this theatre again.

Opening night of the wizard of Oz show was amazing, unfortunately an issue with one of the other guests meant I couldn’t give 5 stars.

We went to watch Wicked, it was a great show and a great experience. We were able to get to our seats pretty fast and make a swift exit. Good variety of snacks and ice creams.

Old theatre feel and probably original seats as they are hard and small. There's a cafe and a bar restaurant. Intermission concession ice cream was £3.50. Great shows. We loved Buddy Holly

I visited Bradford today to see "Wicked" (a 'so so' musical) at a splendid venue: the Alhambra Theatre. As a performance space, this is indeed the jewel in Bradford's crown. I marvelled at its admittedly slightly faded, early 20th century, grandeur. The facilities are good and the staff polite, efficient and welcoming. At a time when local authority budgets are under huge strain due to increasing demands and decreasing central government support, venues like this all across the country are facing an uncertain future. I hope that the Alhambra continues to be supported by Bradford Council and that it survives. It is a true gem.

A truly wonderful treasure of a theatre, with beautiful architecture and gorgeous decor. A visit to the Alhambra Theatre is a first-class experience, from the polite and helpful first-rate staff to the incredible variety of productions that it puts on. All in all, it's a top-notch enchanting experience!

I have been to the Alhambra theatre so many times over the past 5 months. The venue is easy to get to with lots of nearby parking for just £1 after 6 pm. They have put on so many great shows. So far I've watched the Lion King, Life of Pi, the woman in black, Unfortunate, Edward Scissorhands and soon Wicked. On one of these occasions I brought my parents who are disabled. The staff were very helpful in getting my parents into the show despite them being late and were very accommodating. The BSL seats had a good view of the interpreter for them. I look forward to attending more shows.

Lovely Christmas decorations. The central display with Christmas village is outstanding! 🥰

Large garden centre. It also incorporates smaller shops. (Clothing, toys, food places etc.) Has a restaurant and cafe on site. Both quite pricey. As are most of the items on sale throughout the centre. Worth a visit though. Even if you're just window shopping. Sometimes you may find a small bargain. But not often.

Great place to buy my Xmas tree and other items. The food was great, and It was not too much of a wait at the time I was there with my 19m old. My little one loved feeding the fish at maidenhead aquatics, though I found it hard to find through a clothes shop of all things.

Great new restaurant Mezannine! Book before you arrive. Clean place. Good service & helpful attentive staff. Glad we tried it. Food was exceptionale & served in beautiful churchill china. Enjoyed the experience & value for money was a bonus. Loved the interior decor colors & herbs hanging from the ceiling. Mediterranean vibes 🌟🌟

Visited before but have never engaged in the Santa visit before, I have to say I was not disappointed! The experience was amazing, we had an elf named Tinsel show us through the stages and she was absolutely amazing! Then Santa himself was lovely, gentle, patient and unhurried. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! I really think it was value for money!

This place is AMAZING. First time I've been but won't be the last. Loads of things to look at with a wide range of plants,gifts and food on offer. A bit pricey but good quality. Can't wait to go when they are all set up for Christmas.

Excellent garden centre. Huge. So much there, they’ve got shelves full of your usual garden centre things, furniture trees etc. but also so many toys house decorations etc. they’ve also got a couple of clothes shops within the centre. There’s a big soft play with restaurant as well. Gets busy but lots of parking.

This place is amazing, I’ve never seen a garden centre so large! There are dedicated sections for indoors, outdoors, animals, fish, food market hall, a cafe and a restaurant to name a few. The staff are friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. Super happy with the plants we purchased, I can’t wait to watch them grow!

Took the kids here to use the indoor/outdoor play area, kids absolutely loved it! The outside area is the major selling point for me, loads of stuff for them to climb, run around, jump off. A massive inflatable balloon type thing for them to bounce on, I'd say it's one of, if not, the very best play centres we've visited and we've visited a lot! 😄 The food was great as well, I ordered a 12 inch pepperoni pizza and cup of tea, little bit on the pricey side but where isn't these days!

Tong garden centre is different. It's not just a garden centre, it has a variety of unique shops. There is a restaurant (I've not visited) there's a cafe and the food is good, I've been twice. Some of the staff in the cafe seem a bit automated on both occasions. There's a food store, I bought some lovely onion and garlic chutney. A pavers shoe shop. I bought some boots the first time I visited, lovely selection of footwear. Lots of garden furniture, ornaments, indoor plants, and lots of other things. They had a good selection of outdoor plants. Things were a bit on the pricey side, but where isn't pricey now a days. It's worth a visit.

I visited Hearty’s Food Hall at Tong Garden Centre this afternoon. What a wonderful shopping experience with a hamper package service that lifted the profile of a Father’s Day selection to a whole new level. 100% recommend re choice of some fantastic Yorkshire products and excellent staff service! Thank you Annette Woolford for completing the perfect gift for a cherished father-in-law and grandad!

Second time visiting, the food downstairs was very disappointing last time so tried upstairs. They got our order wrong but quickly fixed the issue and brought fresh food out and apologised, they even offered a plastic plate and cup for my little girl to share my food which was really nice. Would definitely recommend eating upstairs although a little pricey £20 for a cheese burger and chips It was lovely to see all the Christmas things out, great displays and the play area is fantastic. I have a 10 month old and she loved it 🤩

First time visit today 9th November 2023in over 10 years. What a surprise! It's huge. An extention with an upstairs cafe and, another cafe downstairs at the back of the store. The product range has grown massively in quantity and quality. Absolutely brilliant isles full of wonderful products for Xmas and, other times. The Xmas displays were extraordinary fabulous. We didn't have enough time to get round, nor enough money as the prices reflect the state of divided Britain where only the better off can afford to shop here while the rest live in a Victorian/Dickensian hoval of poverty division. 5 stars for the store as it was fabulous

We only discovered this garden centre recently (just before Christmas) despite having lived in the area for years and what a find. They have an incredible Christmas selection, best I've seen in a while and while their products aren't cheap, they are generally reasonably priced and excellent quality. We went back again this week during their Christmas sale and found some great bargains. The place is welcoming, the staff are brilliant, the selection of products is impressive. Would recommend.

Visited Tong Garden Centre recently with husband and father. A large Garden Centre well stocked with a great selection of plants, Christmas trees, shrubs, soil, Ornaments, Decorations, and garden accessories. Also a good variety of Gifts,Toys, Gift sets of Fruit preserves.. Biscuits, Chocolates, and Spirits,bit pricey but great for a Special Birthday or Christmas present. We went into the Blooms Café inside the garden centre for Tea and Cakes, lovely selection of sandwiches, hot food & cakes.. Lush Chocolate éclair, Giant Scones & Vanilla Slice. A great day out for couples and family.

5 star all the way. Great garden centre still plus great cafes. Plus great kids play. Plus great homeware, home stuff. Butchery and a small supermarket offering. With a massive pale ale bottle range. Do a full morning or full afternoon. You can also book a lovely cream tea.

It's a good garden centre with a decent selection of consumable items like soil, trellis etc. However I give out my ratings based on the houseplant selections and was rather disappointed with the quite basic selection today. :( 3* for a decent cafe, the soil I wanted and a good fish tank zone.

Amazing afternoon tea, everything was so nice and fresh and you could swap and change the drinks so that you didn’t just have to have the same one. The only thing that I didn’t really like was the tuna mayo spiral as it was really messy to eat and all fell out. Would be a good idea to use another type of bread or give a separate plate for the sweet things so the tuna doesn’t touch them.

Absolutely amazing. With all the Christmas stuff out it was magical and the sleigh ride is a must for the adults and kids

Wonderful place to visit for the young or old. From the Three Rise Locks, we walked a short distance to see the Five Rise Lock. We were so lucky to see all 8 locks working, it took a while for the barges or narrow boats to move up and down the locks, but well worth it. At the top of the Five Rise Locks, cross over the Leeds Liverpool Canal and you will find a delightful cafe serving some local Yorkshire cakes. Order your food and find a table (inside or out), kick off your shoes and relax and the barges pass through the beautiful and relaxing scenery of the Yorkshire countryside.

4th time i have walked from Hirst Wood in Saltaire. Brilliant walks up on Shipley Glen & in the woods along the canal & the river Aire. Really enjoyed my latte in the cafe and the views are sublime.

Suppurb example of 1700s engineering. Walk 5minues towards Leeds for the 5 lock section.

Loved picking blackberries along the cannel. They made a wonderful blackberry pie. By the way, the cream in Bingley is like no other. Yummmmmm.

Locally known as the "three rise locks". The train station is two minutes away. The five rise locks are ten minutes walking towards Liverpool. Saltaire is around 45 minutes walking towards Leeds or jump on the train.

Such a lovely walk did around 10 miles down the tow path first time and loved it easy to navigate your way with signposts in abundance dog cyclist and even wheelchair friendly id recommend anyone to walk even some of the cannal tos path along here

Amazing day with the family, both fun and educational..nice activities for kids, really enjoyed the experience full of history and making..was surprised how big it is.. It was nice to see the machinery in working order and the transports was a classic.. We even played a little hide and seek in the olden days houses. Great for kids and family!

Visited during Easter holidays whilst the event was on. Brought 3 children, 9,10 & 13 year old. They all enjoyed the event and the staff and volunteers were amazing with protective gear ready and ensuring the children were using tools safely. The museum was quiet and the machines were not on but we had a print demonstration where we had a photo opportunity and then at the end the children made their own badge. Would visit again with events on. Very accommodating.

Hidden gem. Well worth a visit if you've not been before.working industrial machinery is really interesting (maybe loud for smaller kids). Enjoyed the rebuilt terraced houses

Took grandchildren to visit. Lots to see, plenty of machines and looms, and some were working for a short period. Also a small transport museum, printing room and cottages furnished in different period styles from Victorian onwards, and fully furnished mill owners house. Could spend a few hours there to see everything. Small, well stocked shop, where I treated myself to a whip and top for old times sake. Admission and parking free and not too busy even though school holidays. Staff helpful and small range of light refreshments available.

Absolutely amazing day out today at #bradfordindustrialmuseum . FREE entry ( donations welcome). It is very child and SEN friendly. Machines run at intervals throughout the day with ear defenders provided if needed. Relaxation room with picnic tables, sofas, book's and children's toys. Plus a tea and coffee machine at only £1 a drink ( take cash) . They had several children's trails to take part in, one for Yorkshire day, a sunflower trails, find the kids tv characters, and of course, the 11 stuffed rats hidden throughout the galleries in the Mill. Jackson absolutely LOVED hunting for them. They had at least one interactive station for the kids in each room, including a printing press, a train set, a wooden bus to drive, plus much more. It was a very chill.amd steady day, not busy at all, even Tee-Jay enjoyed it as he didn't have the anxiety of other guests. We almost had the place to ourselves! It was so lovely to see the Tee take Jackson under his wing, play with him , show him around, and help him look for all the items on the trails. On top of all that, obviously there were all the galleries to look around. A great insight into history. A fave of mine was the back to back houses. The gift shop was also reasonably priced , I got the kids a little something each. Also want to mention the staff and volunteers who were so friendly and helpful. They definitely added to the experience. Excellent exhibition. I learned so much about Bradford and the surrounding area's history. Upon leaving there the whole area made more sense as I was driving through and coming across historic buildings, family names and landmarks. The machines run at certain times as well. The blacksmith is very entertaining and a favourite of visitors. He made an iron nail while we were there. Try the fudge at the shop! Staff are very helpful. Toilets available.

*weekday during the holidays. Was nicely presented, clean and interesting. The car park was a little tricky in terms of size and we expected a little more in terms of interactive activities. However overall a nice few hours out & my three year old enjoyed it.

Absolutely incredible. We went to the national science and media museum before this. It pales in comparison. This place has working mill machinery and more to look at than you can imagine. I've never been to a museum as good as this outside of London.

Visited here on a rainy Saturday. It's a really good museum, so much to see and explore. Particularity loved the old back to back houses rebuilt brick by brick on the museum site and furnished through the decades. Great place for kids. There were crafts, various trails and toys/books/colouring in most areas on the museum. Really surprised that this is free of charge to visit.

Amazing amazing place of history! Absolutely loved the experience and the history I was exposed to. We got to take home copies from the printing press as well. There is a gift shop on site, as well as a café area with £1 hot drinks available and easily accessible washrooms. Free wifi is also available here!

We loved our visit and found lots to do. Mark, who was looking after the many wool machines, was very knowledgeable and helped us out - providing ear defenders for our little boy. It's not as busy as it deserves to be! One suggestion is that there could be more info on some of the exhibits such as the signs and steam loco. But overall it was good.

A free visit to the Industrial Museum which showcased machinery, vehicles and industrial practices was a couple of hours well spent. The kids enjoyed it too, especially seeing the motors in action.

Another free place to visit in Bradford. Great for all ages, they even run some of the equipment so fascinating to watch and hear. Makes you respect more the workers that operated/ran the machines. Staff were excellent, a place to return to.

What a brilliantly interesting venue with all sorts of historical machinery that shows you what all the old mill buildings were used for back in the day. Something for kids and adults and lots of out buildings to check out with old home decor through the decades. Can do this venue in any weather. The staff are really friendly and informative. There is a little gift shop for a keep sake also. I was too busy enjoying myself to take decent pics

Self guided tour, its nice going at your own pace. Free entry, but you can make a donation. Had an amazing couple of hours experience of how things were back then. Lots of machinery which have certain running times. A few area to keep the children from getting bored also stop the rat! The blacksmith work shop is worth a visit, he was hammering away when we stopped by.

We've visited the BIM for many years .... started with our children ( now aged 28 & 31 ), then grandchildren, and today, with the youngest aged 3 and had a super visit. There is so much to see and a lot of information, which is great , so you're not just looking at machinery from a bygone era but can truly appreciate it. The BIM suits all ages, but don't forget to leave a donation..... No hesitation in recommending 👍👍

The tour was amazing. How everything was preserved in original shape. We get to see the printing demonstration. The whole process of textile on the first floor. Recommend everyone visiting Bradford to go there.

We went for the Santa Special. Very good value and a great Santa. Staff friendly and welcoming. Only problem was the 2 hour wait for the tram, followed by a further hour's wait at the top to see the Big Man. The tramway is run entirely by volunteers, many of them pensioners, and they don't have enough, so opening hours were an insufficient 12-4. The reasonable weather brought large crowds and I think they were simply overwhelmed- however to their credit they just got on processing the crowds as quickly as possible and did so remarkably cheerfully. Most of the customers took it in good part but some of the children were getting rather impatient. Really enjoyed the experience but I hope they can find a way to manage the crowds better in future. This is a gem of an attraction that needs support.

A great woody walk . A steadily steep walk up the side of the railway get your circulation going. Usually the railway opens on Sundays, and Christmas time they usually have stuff going on for the kids. Then up to the woods to left of pub. Or carry on up to the Shipley Glen for a good walk. Worth a visit. Pub and cafe.

Brought back lovely childhood memories. Was great to see lots of people young, old n inbetween enjoying the tram. The mother and daughter who work in the gift shop at the top were very friendly, as were the rest of the staff.

This was a fantastic attraction to ride, with cheap journey tickets and staff readily available to buy them! The tram is pulled up a glorious route driverless through the trees which has Christmas lights during winter, accompanied by decorations like a vintage wheelbarrow on the platforms. Last station has a mini exhibition showing the history of the tramway that was interesting, even shown with an old sign as the Tram Stop!

Absolutely lovely place. Great volunteers, always have a smile and willing to have a natter with people. Love the special events like the Santa Tram. Definitely worth buying a family year pass to go for a short ride to or from the glen.

So cute. Didn't have time to ride it but watched it in operation. Amazing value for money too.

Fantastic little activity. Only a short ride but you can pay to ride up and down as much as you like for the day. Several groups of children were kept entertained for some time! Really lovely and scenic, and the volunteers are wonderful. There's free parking nearby with a short walk but it is used for visitors to multiple places so was extremely busy.

Fantastic little tramway. The staff were all so lovely and made my sons day. The day tickets are inexpencive and unlimited, so you can ride up and down a few times. The tramway itself is not big enough to fill the whole afternoon, but Roberts park across the road from the car park is lovely and has a cafe and play park. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip here and will be back again soon.

Lovely little Christmas adventure. Book tickets in advance and so no wait time. Not busy when we went to had the tram to ourselves. Santa was very lovely and his helpers all very friendly. The grotto is nicely decorated. Something different for the kids.

A lovely late Victorian cable tram set in the scenic Shipley Glen. This is a wonderful experience for individuals, couples and families alike. A must for all to visit and keep supporting this West Yorkshire treasure.

We visited this while on a long weekend in Saltaire. It was only open on Sunday in the off season. There is a small room with some information about the history and a sweet shop at the top. It’s a nice diversion if you are in the locality. Overall worth seeing as a part of local heritage if you are in Saltaire.

Beautiful garden peaceful place water sound make you fresh 1 day picnic spot.

A spacious and beautiful park. There is a lot of ground to cover and even if you live in the area I guarantee the entirety of the park has not been fully expored. There is a play area and the lighting is beautiful at dusk and dawn as can be seen in the picture. I recommend to check this park out at this time. Cricket ground is spacious and wonderful as well.

Great place for adults and kids, especially through the summer holidays! The grounds are well kept, and the play area is great fun. There's everything you can think of, including a zip wire! There's a cafe for coffee and ice creams etc, what more could you want. Tip for parents.... the ice cream van only takes cash, so if you want to pay by card, then walk to the little cafe on the grounds as they do really nice ice cream there anyway!

It's a lovely park. Well maintained. Lots of interesting details showing info about the park and surrounding area. Only 1 negative I picked up on there is only 1 toilet that we saw in the whole park.

A great place just to chill out and relax on the banks of the River Aire. Across the river bridge from the park, is the beautiful historic village of Saltaire. Also Salts Mill and the lovely United Reformed church, where Sir Titus Salt is buried. Saltaire railway station which is on the Airedale train line provides handy connections to the nearby Cities of Bradford and Leeds, along with connections to Keighley, Skipton and beyond. It is also possible to change trains at Shipley train station to connect with the Wharfedale train line for services to Baildon, Guiseley and Ilkley. You can also change at Keighley, for the Keighley and Worth Valley heritage steam railway. There is also the historical Shipley Glen Tramway on the other side of Roberts Park which runs upto Shipley Glen and Baildon Moor, and also nice walks to be enjoyed along the Leeds Liverpool canal which passes through Saltaire Village.

Beautiful fountains and serene walks in the evening. What better way to spend your evenings. I would go there everyday if I lived close by.

This park is a beautiful park managed by the Bradford Council. The landscape is amazing. I was surprised to learn of the fossils in the park, and I liked the way they presented each piece in a playful way for the kids to enjoy. There is a lovely pond with waterfalls. The ducks in this pond are some of the largest I have seen anywhere 😳. It is a lovely place for a run, a little less than 2km. I enjoyed running around the pond but had to play hopscotch around the ducks. I didn't use the cafe or boat rides, they weren't working at the time. I loved the grand entrance to the park and the statues. Definitely one to see. Lovely place for a day out with/without kids.

As cities and towns become more crowded parks such as Lister become ever more the cardinal blessing. Please indulge and nurture what we have. 🙂✨

Beautiful, well-kept grounds with great play areas for children. Cartwright Museum was very well done- very user- friendly, good for children. Pity the cafe were short-staffed so unable to serve any food, apart from cakes.

Yesterday, I went to this beautiful lush green park in Bradford. Lister Park in very popular public park known for its scenic beauty, boating lake, botanical gardens, and Mughal Water Gardens. Best place in the entire patch was lake with ducks in it. It's best place to take kids for fun time.

Ducks in small lake, waterfall, hall , water channels. Lovely compact oasis in the middle of the urban jungle

Super amazing park for children and adults , it is really big and has a lake with ducks in it. The fun fair even made it more exciting. So come as a family to have fun.

It’s a beautiful park with lots of free parking onsite and offsite, it has kids playgrounds but it’s busy with older kids just lingering around so younger kids can’t go on it. the management in charge need to start giving out fines to people littering and have big signs showing they will get penalised, people with dogs need to keep dogs on leash bloody nuisance, took my kids to the boat ride they enjoyed it, the price overall for boat ride is pricey if it was a bit less then they would have few more people using the boats

Always a quiet and restful park, but can get noisy during school holidays. Popular with dog walkers, but recommend that dogs be kept on a leash, as there is a substantial children's play area in the grounds. There is a bonus here as it also includes the beautiful Cartwright Hall, well worth a visit. Refreshments are also available at the hall, but please check opening hours before traveling.

A small but scenic park that is well maintained. Free parking. Activities for adults and children with parkrun every Saturday morning, an art gallery, cafe, playground, peddle boats and ducks

Lovely park with so much to do . Walk around, outdoor gym equipment, or just sit and chill to take in the surroundings. If you have kids, there is a great park for them to use with loads to play on . Great day out.

Its literally amazing place! Not so crowded. Very calm and clear. Have many spots for photos. I recommend to visit tgis park.

What a beautiful and well kept park! My partner has moved in near by and we were both overyby how beautiful the park is, fascinating and completely unexpected. It’s a tranquil place to visit with lots of places to sit and take in the surroundings. The visitors to the park are also respectful of the space and it’s kept mostly litter free. We will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic place for a walk either solo or with friends and family. Cartwright Hall is a must visit if you have the time. As always do take all your rubbish with you or dispose in bins as situated.

Plenty of on-street parking and also a carpark at the top of the park. Set on a hillside the park has plenty of tarmac paths to stroll along. Very well maintained with flower beds, a large boating lake and a stream running through it. There’s a large playground and a cafe.

Amazing place to shop! Lots of parking and well organised system to highlight available bays across all floors. There is a service desk available for help and queries and is well staffed throughout the day. Plenty of shops and eateries throughout the centre in a nice simple layout.

It's a decent mall to shop, eat and buy almost all the required stuff in terms of shopping, clothing, households and pharmacy. It got multiple shops and kiosks including telecom, shopping, self car, eateries and pharmaceutical products. They got multiple eateries and munching spots.

I loved it here. A very big shopping centre at Hall Ings in Bradford close to the interchange for buses and trains. You get variety of clothes, shoes, food et al from the several stores and malls.

I like this shopping centre. It is light and airy. Being a wheelchair user I find that getting to any shop is very easy. Staff of the shopping centre are helpful. Not a bad place to shop. For me, it would be nice to see some independent shops coming through for more variety but I can imagine the rents are very very high? This would make it impossible for a small independent shop to survive. Shame really.

They have a wide variety of stores to shop in. The ambiance is cool and it's always kept neat. You should stop by whenever you are in Bradford. It also got a bank inside.

Wonderful selection of shops selling quality goods. Great places to eat & amazing retail therapy to be had. Lovely Christmas decor & entertainment plus things to do for the children.

Love the Broadway easy location for train and good parking on site too, we went on Saturday and the car park is only £2 for the day on weekend/Bank Holiday and weekdays after 5pm. Great little food hall

Nice parking 🅿️ for 3 h only £3. We stayed more than 3 hours and payed only £4. It’s clean, but busy. There are lifts. When you come, you don’t have to pick a ticket as it’s all scanned and you drive through. On the way out when you come to barrier it’s shows how much you have to pay. Easy.

Nice clean and airy shopping mall. Some different independent shopping experience from my local shopping mall. The washroom facilities were immaculate, with plenty of cubicles and hand washing amenities.

Great shopping centre, with a wide variety of shops and a lovely food court. Great atmosphere. Lots of parking available and at reasonable cost. Primark opening a new store here in March 2024.

Great parking which gives you good access to shops. The shopping centre is clean, modern well laid out. Security is visible so feels a safe place to be. Overall a great shopping centre.

Always busy ,always have something new ,big parking on different stories (quite cheap as well),toilets are very clean and free of charges, food corner is available but also different food stalls throughout shopping centre..many big stores ( M&S, river island , boots, the fragrance shop, hmv,Claire’s etc …) Christmas decorations is outstanding..

Only decent place for shopping in Bradford, decent food court and plenty of options for kids. It has a massive car parking facility but the only downside is paid parking. Had good offers during Christmas.

The Broadway Bradford! Exquisite, elegance, and gigantic. As the name conotes, the Broadway is truly broad. Well situated in the Bradford city centre, close to the Bradford Interchange for buses and trains. A very nice place to shop designers and luxury goods of different kinds. From Next to Mark & Spencer, Moss Bros, Pandora, Laser Clinics, Game On, King of Trainers, etc. It is also a good place for the entire family as there are different meals, icecreams, cakes and games for both the young and old. Be sure of having a great experience at the Broadway Bradford.

Disappointed with the service of the building went to the food court near closing time and was rushed to leave the building I was eating my dinner and the security guard come to the table and say it’s time to leave the building we close at 7pm. I found that was a a poor service and I think that if they want people out of the building 7pm then food court should shut 30 minutes before closing time that would give time to people eat their meal.

Sculptures and paintings are a delight to see scattered around this magnificent Hall. The various exhibitions that were on at my time of visit was fantastic. The David Hockney Gallery was a highlight, as was the coffee and cake in the cafe. This beautiful looking Hall is worth a visit.

This was a grand gallery to visit, displaying many glorious pieces of artwork across numerous rooms. The range of the work was refreshing too, spanning from centuries ago to the modern day period. I was interested in seeing the artifacts that are also showcased, helping give a better understanding of life back in eras long gone! The accompanying garden is a highly pleasant addition, having large stretches of grass and spurting fountains. I had my lunch in the garden, sitting down comfortably on one of the benches overlooking the fountains.

Free entry to this small museum within the grounds of Lister Park. Lots of free parking within the park or on North Park Road or Emm Lane. Exhibits around history of Bradford, artwork and sculptures. Allow one hour to get around it. Toilets and cafe on site. Plenty of lovely walking, running, cycling trails in the park. Food shops and takeaways nearby on Oak Lane.

Beautiful park with peaceful pools and a busy waterfowl pond as well as well maintained wide paths through many trees and shrubs. Great display of daffodils just now and banks of crocuses earlier in the year.

Spent a lovely couple of hours perusing the exhibitions. Some were more interesting than others. Not a huge David Hockney fan but now I know more about how he created the swimming pool pictures I appreciated them more. Be aware, the café is small and when we popped in for a snack there were no seats and it seemed very noisy. Recommend a visit, it's free too 😀

Looks to be a linchpin of the local community. A city museum which values and reflects its diverse community, its history and origins. Wonderful Hockney Gallery honoring local roots of David Hockney, notable for child-height features which are in no way patronising and reflect the time he spent in the gallery as a child. I particularly liked the "calm room" with its comfy armchairs and ambient soundtrack.

The park is superbly kept and the fountains look lovely. The art gallery is just fabulous and there is a cafe. All a credit to Bradford and many thanks to the staff and council.

I've visited the park on many occasions and forgot about the Hall. However, this is a place not to be missed. Some lovely gems within the collections and fantastic history for Bradford. Nice Cafe too

Lovely museum and completely free. Nice exhibition around the Caribbean and helpful staff. Very impressive art pieces to suit a range of tastes. Even better if some Information about the hall itself were displayed in the museum.

Amazing museum with rooms set up to depict periods in history with information about the various families who have lived there during those finds. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No charge for entry. A bit difficult to find. A hidden gem.

Bolling Hall looks like it is in serious need of a funding injection from a cash strapped Bradford Council. So we know that's not going to happen, which is a great shame as it has such an interesting history, particularly regarding the Civil War. It's free to go in and wander through the various rooms and examine their contents - which includes the deathmask of Oliver Cromwell. Many of the areas of the Hall are closed to the public, due I suspect to a lack of money to carry out repairs and renovations. The outside also looks in serious need of some TLC as do the neglected gardens. I'd be happy to pay a little more council tax if I knew it would help to support this and other fascinating places under council care instead of watching them gradually and sadly disintigrate.

Came here to investigate. It was a fairly quiet night with some activity. The place was stunning! It is fascinating to learn about the history of our country and to see how some people lived in years gone by. Hopefully, I'll be able to visit during the daylight hours and delve more into the history of the building.

Lovely and pretty museum and gardens nestled in Bradford. The hall is free admission and the parking, too, which was accessible via Brompton Ave. There is also a little shop at the end of the house tour with great memorabilia to purchase. The staff were super friendly, too. Highly recommended for a little day trip out.

Fantastic historic Bolling Hall in Bradford, some amazing interiors and artifacts, really lovely staff and an amazing volunteer dressed in period costume telling us some history of the hall . I love old houses and halls of this period full of important history but will say Bradford council the outside needs a tidy up, the main door dirty not very inviting, bin overflowing and garden needs some attention, would be more inviting. Defiantly worth checking out

2nd museum visit of the day, also free but happily accepts donations. Free parking available on either side of road but it does also have its own car park to the side, including two disabled parking bays. To the right at the top of the steps there are 3 bicycle stands to secure your bicycle to. Marvelous and very interesting museum. Helpful and very friendly staff. Has small shop at entrance. Lots of information boards. Wonderful furnishings abound. Plenty of absorbing artefacts and history to take in. Stained glass windows; amazing ceilings; civil war room; also a chance to peruse Cromwell's face up, close and personal, as there is a plaster cast of a wax mould impression of his death mask, eeek, warts n all! Museum absolutely well worth a visit. Recommended.

Impressive visit. The park itself is big and very beautiful. Has got lot of quite areas. All over green grassy and lot of trees that gives the feeling of eye comfort. Some of the benches have got waste bags hanging on their sides that needs cleaning. But the park itself very clean tidy. Clean and tidy path ways for people walking jogging running etc. especially good for taking the babies around. Bikers might come from behind so beware of it that needs a bit attention.

One of the locations used on TV"s Most Haunted. Although we didn't meet any ghosts the Cromwell Death Mask gave us the shivers.

We actually visited the museum for a paranormal evening. It is a beautiful building with many displays all set up as would have been throughout its history. There is an amazing garden at the rear of the building.

Lovely place for a wander. Free to enter with a decent sized free carpark. We only spent about half an hour here as we wandered round, but you could spend longer. Some people were finding out more info from staff who seemed very knowledgeable. This is also a warm space with hot drinks available and there is a library on site. In the grounds there was an old boundary stone and milestone which seem to have been relocated to here at some point in the past. Worth a visit if you're into a bit of history. Apparently it's also haunted, but we never saw no ghostly figures...other than the volunteer/ staff member who was dressed up in period costume and sat in one of the rooms!

I absolutely loved the place, there’s so many varieties here… loved the Italian pizza, it’s authentic 🍕🍕and the local Latina bar, Simon, the host was amazing to make all sorts of cocktails from Loca Latina (there authentic sweet gin) to malibu, fireball shot( it’s amazing)I’d love the margarita pizza to top it all, and of course very hospitable hosts 🥰🥰 You must definitely give this a shot ❤️❤️❤️

Just had a Mother’s Day bottomless brunch and had the best time. Service and food fabulous and Jay the owner was so welcoming. Will definitely be going back xx

The pizza restaurant was great. Fresh food served hot enough to make lava look like a coolant, and a fast yet attentive service. Every member of staff was a delight to speak with. Very friendly. Perfect for if you have 40 mins or so before a theatre show starts. Note that you may need to book as it's a small and cozy place with only a handful of tables.

Great place. Lovely staff, fresh beer, good music playing. Just a bit quiet. More people need to know about this place.

It's had a bit of a revamp recently. If you haven't been before it is worth a visit for the quirkiness of the experience. Service is good, drinks are a little more expensive than most places in town

We went on a Saturday afternoon before a football match. Staff were friendly, beer was adequate & good value. We ordered pizza from the pizzeria next door who brought it to our table in the bar next door. The pizza was very good! I suspect it’s much livelier of an evening than early doors Saturday lunchtime. A lot of places we’re still settling up. I’ll come back!

Held a birthday event in "The Bunker" at Wallers Brewery last weekend. The manager, James, and all the staff were incredibly helpful and made the night special for everyone. They even went and got birthday candles from the nearest shop for the cake (which had been forgotten). Can't reccomend enough, thanks guys 👌

Getting searched to go for a pizza in the place. Clearly a dangerous place. On the way out the door staff are more interested in watching stuff loudly on their phones than opening doors for customers.

Visited Sunbridgewells November time 2023 with husband. Quirky looking place inside with eating and drinking establishments, also shops. We called in on a Monday and no shops were open or restaurants. We noticed a bar was open on first floor, so we had a couple of drinks in there. Bartender said the Pizza restaurant would be open Wednesday, but all of the shops would be open on Saturday & Sunday. We wanted to look around the place in the week to avoid the weekend crowds which we couldn't do, thought everything would be open. We walked around upstairs past the closed shops, they looked interesting..shame they were all closed, overall a disappointing experience.

The atmosphere is incredible in this bar, with the walls giving a proper feel of being underground! When I used the toilets they had been kept very clean, identifiable by a clear sign. The bar was epic to eat and drink in, having a tunnel shaped ceiling and lights overhead as well as at the feet level! It was comfortable to sit down and my flavoursome drink was served quickly, followed by a true Italian pizza that was delicious.

I recently visited the upper level night club and was quite disappointed with my encounter with the doorman. While I understand that doormen have a challenging job in managing access to the club, my experience was far from pleasant. Unfortunately, the doorman came across as unfriendly and unprofessional. There was a noticeable lack of courtesy and respect in the way I, and others, were treated. It's essential for a doorman to ensure the safety and security of the club, but it's equally important to do so while treating patrons with respect and dignity. My discomfort was exacerbated by what seemed like a lack of consistency in the doorman's decision-making process. Some individuals were allowed entry with ease, while others faced undue obstacles. This inconsistency added to the frustration and confusion. Furthermore, I was disappointed by what appeared to be a lack of willingness to address issues raised by clubgoers. Effective communication and conflict resolution skills are essential in this role, and it seemed lacking in this particular instance. In conclusion, my experience with the doorman at [the upper lever night club] left me feeling unwelcome and disappointed. I hope that the club management can take steps to ensure a more positive and respectful experience for all patrons in the future.

Good kit, lots of stuff out of order. The main play frame (age 3-8ish) is great. In good working order, lots to keep them entertained for a full two hours. The sensory room (age 1-2) is completely out of order. The smaller play frame (age 1-3) is mostly working, although the ball pit is missing, and the ball suction machine is out of order. There’s only two push along cars are good but they need another two or three of them. The go kart area is out of order. The ball target range is out of order. Our kids (3 and 4) loved it, and were thoroughly entertained. Older kids might get a bit more annoyed at the bits that aren’t working.

We Took our grandson excellent fun time and good home cooked food definitely go again well worth the money 2 hours to burn off his energy

Love this! Perfect for kids AND adults 😂 the seats are perfectly located around the play area where parents can easily see their children so even if the children are running around theres no way they can get lost. Toilets are right behind seating area and so is the cafe bar which is perfect. Price is worth the play time!

What can I say... we travelled from Leeds because my kids saw the pictures online and were really excited to go there, sadly a huge disappointment... the electric karts weren't working, the vortex was turned off, the same with the balls machine and other parts were just out of service without a specific reason. There was an area for toddlers driving with only TWO cars. We contacted the staff at the coffee desk asking why the karts weren't working and they suggested to contact the manager, we approached her, initially she was friendly until we questioned why the karts were off, she was quite rude and just said "staff issues" without even making eye contact and just walked away. No customer service at all! I won't ever go again and I won't recommend anyone to even try. Don't waste your money nor your time.

Quite the best place of this type of venue I have visited. Well thought out and executed. Very nice staff, helpful and friendly. The food is of a high standard and homemade too, all freshly cooked to order. Our three grandchildren of varying ages and a friends one year emptied their plates. Mind you, so did the adults ! Brilliant time.

Staff are amazing Food is outstanding If you have children then this is the place to be. No matter where you sit you can see where the children are at all times. Toilets very clean MANAGER IS ON THE GO ALL THE TIME BUT STILL MAKES TIME TO MAKE YOUR VISIT SPECIAL X. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ❤️

I had seen poor reviews of Kidzplay online, but shrugged them off as most businesses have the odd one, nobody can please everyone. However, I wish I’d taken note! We paid £15 per head for a birthday party and we’re left disappointed by the level of service we received. The staff were downright rude. We had complementary tea & coffee as part of our party package. We were assured that someone would come after ten minutes to take our order. After 25 minutes when we told them no one had taken our order the manager’s response was “and?” By this point most parents had already bought their own drinks!! We were rushed the whole time we were there because another party was in straight after us. They cleared the kid’s food up before they’d even finished eating. They called the kids to get their shoes ten minutes before the end of our stated time. They need to give a gap between parties rather than chucking out guests. We will not be booking a party there again, and I doubt many of our guests will. I’m writing to the directors as no doubt the manager will brush our complaint under the carpet, just as she tried to do today. What a shame, nice venue but blighted by their shoddy service!!

Absolutely shocking at how cold the facilities were considering it is a children's soft play centre. The cleanliness of the seating area was unsatisfactory along with dirty cups.that looked like they hadn't been washed before using them again. The fridge with cakes in was in need of a clean as it has crumbs that.looked like they were going mouldy. The staff were not seen attending the soft play frames to ensure all children were safe and the attitude on the staff was like they didn't want to be there. Definitely wouldn't recommend here

Highly recommend. Brought our 4 babies here and they loved it! Some things were out of order but regardless it was lovely. Such a big play area. Yummy food reasonably priced! Lovely staff answered any questions we had thank you all so so much we will be back again

Good Afternoon I have just signed up for membership with you at £20 a month. Ive booked my first visit today. 15:15. This led me to believe i got 2 hours for my 4 boys. 1 hour 5 mins in a young man came and asked me if i could go in 10 minutes as you are very busy. I took pictures of all tables around which were empty so very confused and quite honestly not happy with this at all. So gathered my boys within 5 minutes. Left the building to be told "sorry... thats the not the case... go back in" sorry but we couldnt as was already dressed to leave etc. Why were we ushered out? Not a good example for our first visit for a member... Look forward in hearing back as also spent a small fortune in there for what we had. The boys didnt even have chance to finish their juice. I liked that the place was very clean, very spacious and great variety of obstacles, tunnels, slides etc. Staff are friendly and polite. Car parking might be a little limited, we went during the weekday so this wasn't an issue. Unfortunately all of the baby sensory area was not functioning, as well as the area with the balldrop and floating balls, barring one which was on it's last legs. Overall I feel it's one of the better sofplay places, it's just a shame the baby areas (which I went primarily for) wasn't working, even other children going in asked me why nothing was working - if they were it would feel more worth the higher cost of entry fee. If they were fixed I wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

Went today, felt it was really rubbish for the younger ones to be honest! Sensory room and ball machine all out of order, older kids constantly trashing the toddler area to the point it felt quite unsafe for the toddlers. Nice big place for older children I’d say but it felt really chaotic, has some great equipment but why all out of order?!

Always busy but never feels full. Great staff. Table service easy to order and arrived promptly. Clean and tidy. Feels a little expensive to visit too often.

It’s a great large soft play for the kids to burn off energy. Much larger and cleaner than Megaplay in bd8 for example. Includes buggies to ride on, football area within the soft play and 3 slides in the larger frame. Separate large baby area which is great for little ones to explore. Food menu is expensive but not sure where you could go to soft play where the food isn’t expensive these days. Parking can also be a bit tricky during busy times- try to avoid weekends as they’re full on with birthday parties and staff can be stressed. For bday parties, kids can run around while parents sit in a pod. Staff bring out pizza, chips and drinks for the kids. It can be tight - not sure if it’s comfy for more than 15 kids and their parents per pod so just something to consider. Been to many parties! Easy for parents as you just pay for food and entry and there’s no other planning involved really (starts at £10 per child weekday and £12 per child on the weekends for parties).
