The sound experience is excellent and highly recommended. The best time to arrive during summer is maximum at 20:15, so you can enjoy the sunset finishing at 20:30.

Fascinating to hear the sounds of this sea organ. We visited on a very windy day with lots of waves... I don't know how the sounds change depending on these conditions but would love to return on a day with different weather conditions.

loved the idea of the sea organ. It was nice to hear and the promenade was beautiful. Also plenty of seats available so you can just sit there and relax. After sundown there were also these LED lights where you can take a nice and unique picture.

I recommend going at sunset, you won’t regret it. We went in February so it was not crowded, and we also got to enjoy the salutation to the sun, which is the attraction next to the sea organ. It only lights up at night. We went back to the Sea Organ in the morning and it was empty ☺️

Beautiful area that you must go and see both during the day (when it’s fairly quiet) and at night when the sun is setting. The sea organ itself was installed in 2005 on the edges of the promenade and the music is created by the waves hitting it. So lovely to listen to the chords created by nature. Such a cool concept and such a peaceful beautiful area. When we visited in late June the water was calm so the sounds were gentle and it is lovely to sit on the edge of the promenade and just listen to the sounds. Would love to hear the louder notes when the waves are bigger. The views at night especially on a clear night of the sun setting are spectacular and great for photos. Lots of passing boats make your photos more interesting. This area is so nice we walked out of our way every day we stayed to visit here.

However, I do wish there were fewer people around, as it would have enhanced the sense of tranquility and allowed for a more intimate experience with the natural wonders. Do yourself a favor and stay until sunset; it was undeniably the most exquisite sunset I have ever witnessed in my life. This place is undoubtedly worth a visit when you find yourself in the vicinity of Zadar. Its captivating charm and the way it makes you feel one with the sea are unforgettable.

This is an amazing place out of this world. My friend took me there just for this and we stayed for hours until the sunset. Even though it was a bit cloudy, it was amazing and the views were breath taking. This is amazing and you should go there.

Beautiful! This was one of things i really wanted to see in Croatia and it did not disappoint. Such a unique piece, this is a must see. The Sea organ is an architectural sound art object located in Zadar, Croatia and an experimental musical instrument, which plays music by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps. Similar to the Wave Organ in San Francisco, California, and the High Tide Organ in Blackpool, England, the instrument consists of a series of 35 tubes and a large resonating cavity, which is played by the wind and the sea. The organ’s music is eerily reminiscent of the melancholy sound of whale calls. The Sea Organ was designed by architect Nikola Bašić and completed in 2005. Just behind it is another art installation he created — the Sun Salutation — which has an ethereal pattern of glass panels that capture sunlight to power their own light show that is a tribute to the solar system.

This piece of architecture is a simple idea that is actually so clever. It involves no electricity or mechanics just the waves and several pipes. But as the waves get choppier and flow against the steps it makes music from pipes located under the steps. It is a fabulous place to sit and look into the beautiful sea, listen to the sounds and admire the atmosphere and sunshine. Lovely walk too !! This and the sun installation get people out of the city centre and walking out to the edge of the docks.

Luxury nigh walk around the city walls, ending at sunset spot with crazy colourfů´ ground effect, you must visite this place to be recognizable how spectacular is it. Sounds of sea splashing inside the stairs is just breathtaking. We really enjoy this place and sleepover in our van. Amazing nice city at all. We will come back again….once, maybe twice or more? 😜

This is my favorite place in ALL of Croatia. Sitting by the beach, hearing the waves make melodies in the sea organ is so surreal. It’s out of this world. I’ve seen many sunsets around the world, and this one is one of the best places in the world for it. I feel like everyone should at least visit Zadar and see the sunset at least once in their lives.

The place is very nice, in front of the see, the sounds are like sea siren and is very relaxing in the evening when is dark and the lights are lighting is incredible and very fun especially with a kids.

The sea organ is an amazing little contraption. Build directly into the stone, these steps produce sounds as the waves lap over the slots. You'd think during a storm would be the best time to hear this, but honestly it's alot better on just a slightly windy day! The sounds it makes during a proper storm surge are akin to a spooky alien invasion.

The 'organ' wasn't as impressive as I originally thought it would be. But still an amazing experience. Good place to sit and chill out, dip your feet or go for a swim to cool down. The stairs are a tad slippery though so be careful, we saw a lady step down she slipped landed on her behind and waves took her shoe.... lost forever. It's the perfect place to watch the sunset aswell although it does get pretty busy. We preferred sitting further up the promenade.

These are placed in the boulevard so you can just walk over them. Under the glass plates are solar panels and LED where a light show is programmed. The installation symbolizes communication with nature. It is a very cool idea of large scale. Only I found the light show programmed into it a bit too chaotic. It could have been a little quieter for me but if you head there in the morning or late at night it would be quieter. Very cool to see though and definitely a must see if you are in Zadar.

The sizes are proportionate real size compared to the sun , but the distance are scaled down . Overall it would be an amazing visit in old town Zadar

Lovely spot for evenings. You’ll find yourself in a huge crowd of people, a mix of locals and tourists. I loved how people just waited patiently for the lights to come on, and almost nobody would step inside before that. It’s almost like a ritual. I thought that was awesome. My advice? When the light is on, step in and let go of your inhibition, just dance!🎉

A magic place in old town! I recommend to visit this place during sunset. We were here in October 2023 and there weren’t many people. We could see beautiful flashing colors with a stunning sunset. Especially this place is suitable for dancing. Entry is free.

A really interesting part of zadar. The solar system display is an ingenious idea that gets people out of the main city and looking off the end of the port. After sunset the ‘sun’ ( a circular solar panel embedded into the ground) lights up in beautiful displays. Very nice place to walk and also a very good meeting point for tours or to meet up if lost.

I can say, that I was sceptical to these church and tower. It was related to next church which look same to each other that we can meet in Croatia. But... views from top of the tower was absolutely fascinating. If you are in old city in Zadar, you have to being there. 15 hrk is a good invest.

The church may be a little bit crowded during sunny days but it is definitely worth a visit if you are interested in classical architecture.

This is one of the places that you must visit if you come to zadar. Walking to the top of the tower you will have another perspective from the town and islands and the visit is beautiful. Not so easy to go up, specially because of the width of the steps and door to access outside. I do not recommend for people with mobility issues, or low pressure at least during summer/hot weather or when it is busy. The price was about 1.50£, and maybe 30 mint will be enought to visit. For the church is again about 1.50£, and it interesting to visit. They have the turistic paper in diferent languages ( including portuguese what is not so usually here). Nice and cold 🤣 so if you are getting boilded in zadar and no where to go, or if you are looking for a quiet place you can go there and have a quiet moment inside.

With the sunny weather, this place describes Croatia at its best. In addition, a lot of cultural public events are happening nearby, on Romanum Forum, so the the atmosphere is truly powerful. In the summer, the chapel itself and the square can be quite crowded so I advise coming either on off-peak hours or outside of the peak season to avion crowds:))

Great place it like going back in time. To stand in such a landmark is exciting when knowing that you are in the footsteps of the Romans.

Excellent hostel. Brilliant staff. The rooms are uniquely designed. There is no lift so if you are disabled or old climbing upstairs day to 3rd floor might be difficult. Also the breakfast food option is limited. But more than that the room where they serve breakfast is too small to fit people.

Wery loud housekeeping staff. They start to talk loud and smashing doors and also laugh loudy at 06.30 AM like its 10 am. I travel a lot and this is way too loud. Sorry guys, I love you all on reception, wery polite educated jung ppl. Peace!

The hotel is well located, just underneath the most famous tower. Rooms are small but due to the fact that the shower and the toilet are separated you have to walk around the bed to switch, so don't forget your towel in the shower. The hotel is clean and the decoration is a bit psychedelic. Staff is friendly and professional.

Literally at the heart of the old town. Can't possibly ask for better location. A little work could be done when it comes to the bathroom cleaning. Otherwise service and amenities were great.

Rooms were nice and clean. But we didn't get any new towels. The rooms are strangely designed, this does give nice privacy. I like Liked the feature that you can close the curtains for you own bed. This way you feel private while sleeping.

We had a private Deluxe room and it was such a highlight! The hostel is right on the main square and when you wake up you see the sea! This view is just priceless. The rooms are a bit small, but very cozy and stylish. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast was really good! Totally THE place to stay in Zadar!

A/C not functioning in the summer (30+degrees) and NO SOLUTION WAS AVAILABLE! Not even a fan ... Location is perfect, staffs are nice. Though it would have been muchly appreciated if there was a heads-up for non-functioning A/C unit ... Too warm to sleep without the A/C, basically ruins your trip :/ Really not happy with the experience.

No air-conditioning! Advertised as air-conditioned rooms but at this time of the year they were not on. Front desk could not help me. It was very hot in the rooms and too loud to open the windows. Very disappointed.

Location was perfect, in the middle of the old town, very convenient to go anywhere. I also liked that I was able to leave my luggage in a locker upon arrival while waiting for the check in to be opened. However, the room was very small - I could barely open my small suitcase. Stairs to the bed were very steep and I did not find the room to be very clean. The shower was also a bit clogged. I'd say it's fine for one or two nights if you can't afford better.

I stayed here for one night and it’s was absolutely amazing. The location is so great and the rooms were clean and the shower my highlight. It was clean, hot and had a rain shower adapter. I can only recommend staying here. Also the wifi worked great

Amazing location. Everything is fresh and clean, I like that in the dorm room you have privacy with the blinds on each bed. The staff are amazing. Mario in particular was so friendly and great to chat to. The dorm room is very small, difficult to move around in. Same for the shower as a tall guy! Also found it difficult to meet new people as there wasn’t anyone chilling in the shared spaces, but that always depends on who is staying there I guess!

Fun museum but mostly made for kids. The museum is a lot of fun and has a couple of Unique illusions you can't recreate at home. The museum is mostly made for kids (≈aged 8-15) since a lot of the illusions on the walls are things that are very easily found on the internet and anyone who spends a significant amount of time on social media will undoubtedly have seen a lot of them. However even if you have seen all of the stationary illusions on the walls there is still enough to do. There are a couple rooms with interactive illusions and there are a lot of tricky puzzles laid out.

Not much to see inside. It needs some TLC & expansion. It's a very quick tour with only 2 hallways & that's it. No time limit, you can play their wood puzzles if you like. On the bright side, there's a cafe at the entrance of the Musej with a fantastic view of the city.

The visit here can take anywhere from 20 minutes up to an hour depending on how much you invest your time in all the things that are here to see and do. Nothing amazing to see here but fun for children and also for some adults. Can get crowded here if there are many visitors, which we felt it was during our visit. Admission was fairly high priced.

I've been to illusion museum in Wenen and Prague and you can't compare those big once with the one in Zadar. The entrance price is €10,- and its totally not worth it. You will be done in 30 min or maybe less. There are a few fun illusions with descriptions. My kids enjoyed the tunnel and the infinity room. The place itself is really old and the walls are dirty and looks disgusting.

Museum of illusions really offer nothing but illusion. What a disappointing experience this was. I would start with price, 10 $ per adult ticket and 5 for kids above 5. I came with mother and brother and 2 kids. As you enter there are only very night stairs you climb to get to entrance. I was wondering how does disabled person come here or someone that cannot walk? Do family gather around to carry them? Discrimination in it’s naive but powerful form. So you enter and there is literally round hallway. Total number of truly meaningful exhibits is probably 3. Nothing else is worth watching. You will literally be done in 10 minutes. Including taking pictures. What a disappointing experience this was.

The ticket price is a little expensive for adults especially. Most things you'll have seem online. More like one big exhibit. Staff was friendly. Is a very quiet place as well.

Nice place to visit and have some fun with friends and family. There are a few activities to do, I would say about 1h is enought to visit the place. The price is good for what you see ( about 7£ per person).

The Museum of Illusion is one of the best places in Zadar to experience optical illusions, holograms, rotated mirrors, and practice to control and improve your focus and brain processing by solving some puzzles

Initially I wasn't planning on visiting the museum during my trip to Zadar, but the decision to go there was a really good one. Even though the place isn't really large, some of the rooms can literally make you feel dizzy, confused. Good fun guaranteed. Exciting, unusual, recommended:)

Very small museum but with lots to do for kids and adults. It's important you take the time to read what needs to be done to enjoy the full experience. Lots of puzzles to try and visual images. Enjoyed our time spent

I went there with my kids and they were so excited and noisy of happiness. Place is small but organized. Several brain tricks that surprised them. There’s also a bridge which is amazing . U feel like shaking but nothing is really happening. Staff are super friendly, helped in ideas for photos, answering my and my kids questions with an awesome smile and tool some photos for us in the rooms and on the big chair. Oh god, sooo nice staff really. They even understood the happiness and excitement of my kids and not being annoyed. Great staff, nice place and worth price for sure. Totally recommend 👍

Nice small museum, worth visiting for about 30-60 mins, but after looking all the illusions, u may get a head ache as it will take lot of you energy from your brain, Still it’s worth a visit

The worst museum I've been able to do. The Museum of Illusion is supposed to be a grandiose museum that propels us out of reality and time. Here only one piece gathers the "illusions" and again, we can talk about headaches more than illusions. I was alone so I expected there to be automatic cameras as in all the other museums of illusion, nothing at all. There are only 3 places to take funny photos and still everything is dirty and does not make you want. The photo of the entrance finally reflects the interior of the museum. Never give €10 to this museum, you may be disappointed... like me! Go to the one in Amsterdam instead !

We spent about 2 hours in the museum and had a lot of fun interacting & messing around with all the exhibits. It’s important to read the guidance on the walls on what you can do with getting the best experience from each exhibit. 60 Kuna per/person (adult ticket) well spent :) Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Photography is permitted inside.

Its just an okay museum. Nothing much special. They are charging €13 per person. But its not worth it with this money. It shouldn’t be more than €7.

One of the surprise delights of the visit. A little complicated to find as signage is misleading. Inside ate a number of exhibits to ponder and play with. The whole family really had fun. A hour passed by very quickly. You can also purchase a lot of puzzles on the way out.

Great to visit on a rainy day. Good illusions however I was expecting the museum to be much bigger than it actually is. A bit expensive for what I would pay too.

This is a very interesting museum! Even with family, with 2 and 5 years old children you can find engaging things. Mirror rooms, holograms, loop room, tunnels and a very good smart shop.

The Cathedral of Saint Anastasia is not the Grandest in Europe, but it is very old in appearance and a lovely sight to see. The crypt below the altar is viewable and shows the foundations of the church. There is also a small sarcophagus in the left rear chaplet containing the relics of Saint Anastasia. We enjoyed touring this church.

Nice place ,but hole old town is really nice. Quite close to parking places around. Spectatular cathedral.

The Cathedral is well worth a look if you're passing, although it's surprisingly modern-looking, having been rebuilt. For 20 Kuna it's possible to go up the Bell Tower for great views.

Beautiful Romanesque Cathedral in central Zadar built in 12/13th century. Named after the Sirmian martyr, to whom two popes bowed down; Alexander the III, who visited her tomb, and John Paul II, who bowed down in 2003 at the gate of the Cathedral. There is also a bell tower that is well worth the small fee to climb the stairs to the top where you will have great 360 degree views over the city (see photos). The stairs are quite narrow but for anyone struggling with steps there is a stopping place at about 5 points on the way up so you can rest in-between. A lot of the cathedral has been rebuilt after being bombed in WWII. Whilst it is free to visit as others have said there is a very rude lady on the door. Whilst it is totally reasonable and normal in a lot of coutries ot ask people to not enter wearing vest tops/shorts this lady was very aggressive and let the lady in front of me in with similar length shorts but told me mine weren’t in a rude manner and to respect God. We said nothing and went back the next day in trousers and saw her again being rude to someone else.

Beautiful church to worship God and celebrate mass here.

3€ and you have an amazing view to the city

Entrance to the bell tower was a bit steep for what you get. The views at the top are very nice but it's quite tight. If you're there during rush hour, there's barely any space to go up or down the stairs. It's still worth a visit though. Would recommend going early or later in the day to avoid the crowds.

I talk to the lady (as a guide or guardian the cathedral) and she says that this cathedral is the biggest cathedral in Dalmatian. Some people in YouTube report this cathedral is the smallest cathedral and it isn’t true :) In this cathedral they still have few times holy mass. There is also relic of St. Anastasia on the left side of the altar. It’s the ashes and the bone of st. Anastasia. In this area there are few churches and chapels. Some people put other pictures in the review of cathedral (and it’s not correct) There is no admission to come to this cathedral.

Discrimination against women. I find it highly disturbing that in the year 2024 women wearing decent shorts (just above knees) and t-shirt are not allowed to visit a historical landmark due to outdated religious beliefs. Even though it's a touristic place with an entrance fee, women must wear long pants and long sleeves.

Zadar cathedral is the greatest church in the city but when compared with great cathedrals of other European cities it does not impress. Like the rest of the city it is one of the sum of the parts that makes Zadar quaint, on its own its just ok. No entry fee required, there is a donation box in the entryway if you wish to contribute to the temple's maintenance. Masks required inside as of August 2021. Also modest dress is required i.e., no tank tops or short, shorts. There are a couple of nice looking chapels that are worth taking a look at. the main altar itself is very bare and plain.

Mixed feelings about the price. On the one hand, it is important to support the heritage if the money is invested in the maintenance and so on. But on the other hand, the ticket does not include access to the Bell tower. The ticket fee is 3€

A beautiful cathedral from Old ages in the Old town zadar. Plenty of other Old buildings are also seen nearby. You can also climb up the tower there for a small fee. From up you could have a nice view of the zadar town and the adriatic sea. However it was closed on Sundays.

It was a heavy rainy day, I did not go inside, and the locals were preparing for Christmas. They had a music event in the Central Open Area this day, and even in the rain, open street-type restaurants were open. It was like going back in time; nothing fancy. To get here, I did a long walk from the Sea Organ Beach/Steps area.

Good museum, We went here during April which isn't tourist season. I think this might have been the reason that there was no active exhibition here. However the permanent exhibition was very impressive and fun to see. On the 2nd floor (the start of the exhibition) we see a lot of pottery, stones, and fibulae (the dress fasteners). When we go down to the first floor we get to the Roman empire, this is a considerable part of the entire exhibition, they have coins, stones, accessories, even dice. On the ground floor we get to see the last part of the exhibition which tells us about the last few years before the croats arrive. Tickets were 30 kuna, or 4.50 euros. We could only pay cash.

Cannot pay with the card! Why? As museum it's probably subsidized anyhow. Is it that hard to get a card terminal?! Museum itself is good, and well orginized inside. Also the artifacts are good quality, real treasures.

The descriptions are rather boring but you can look at some very cool artifacts. It's worth visiting, especially since the ticket price is low.

A fantastic museum, massively exceeded my expectations! Plenty of useful information boards that put all the exhibits in context, and the way the artefacts are presented is innovative and engaging. As a qualified archaeologist who loves to visit museums abroad I can honestly say this was one of the best I've visited! It covers the prehistoric, Roman and Medieval periods, including an area on underwater archaeology and shipwrecks. Tickets cost 30 kuna for an adult and includes a free leaflet.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon to escape the heat and have some aircon and culture. The aircon was brilliant ❄️ and we did see some interesting things such as the broach pins and the Roman influence on the place - but the top floor is old and dull, and the ground floor is basically one big shop. There is a unisex toilet that’s free to use and there is a tap where you can fill up your water bottle.

We had a lovely experience in the Zadar Archaeological museum. The museum is placed next to the old forum romanum which gives it an already ancient air. The tickets are insanely cheap at only costing 5 euros! They have an impressive collection of roman artifacts, statues, glasswork, parts of notable buildings, urns, dice, spears, armor and other works. The only downside is that they have placed the info on the works in an extremely awkward place;around the corner of the exhibit and quite high up in an extremely small font. If you don't have 20/20 vision it might be best to leave this one for what it is. On the other hand it was relaxing just looking at all these ancient artifacts and imagining living among the ancient. The museum was also very well ventilated which was a pleasant surprise during a hot summer's day.

This was a fascinating little museum. The exhibition is small but well put together and good explanations. A really thoughtful and accessible way to learn more about the history of this beautiful area. Well worth a visit! FYI: Entry is €5 and cash only at the time of writing. Pathetic to see poor reviews because of this ; there's no excuse in this age of easily accessible international bank cards which do not charge for withdrawal (Monzo, Revolut, Starling, Metro....)

Nice square to visit, wasn’t busy and was kept quite well. The Square is located on a site between the medieval City Walls and the Renaissance bastion Grimani, where the oldest park in Croatia is located. The Square features exactly what its name suggests – five wells lined up in a row. During the 16th century, the Venetians helped the city withstand Turkish sieges by building a large drinking water cistern with five ornamental wellheads. When the Turkish threat ended, a park was built on top of the nearby bastion, and nowadays the attractive stone-flagged park serves as the perfect gathering point for skateboarders.

It was OK. Very nice and clean square but not a must see site. However, the entire square is interesting.

Really lovely square built in 1574 (during the siege of the Ottoman Empire) with 5 wells as expected but a peaceful place to walk around in central Zadar. It’s also right next to the entrance to Queen Jelena Madije Park, which is well worth a visit.

It's a beautiful place to visit and learn a little bit something about the history of Zadar. However, I didn't find many explanations about the origins of the square except that it probably dates back to the times when the Republic of Venice was ruling over Zadar. There are some bars and restaurants around the square and the atmosphere is usually nice around this place.

The town of town of Zadar is a wonderful place to walk around and soak in the sights. This is one of the places you must cover on your walking tour. This plane is close to the Land gate. The square with the five wells is very photogenic.

Nice place to get out of the rain, admission is something like 30k so decent even if only for the permanent exhibition. If you go before 14:00 there are live demonstrations on glass blowing etc - I missed that.

Unfortunately I haven't been inside the museum due to flight I needed to catch. Did go in the shop. Great souvenirs to take home, great packing so you can even put it in your suitcase! All pictures are glass pieces you can buy there! They are a remake of the original ancient glass design

Like all Croatian museums, small, compact and fascinating. It shows how - in the early 1980s, before the war, the Roman glass factory was discovered while excavating the land for a shopping center. Amazing finds from the 1st century AD, and an authentic ancient glass blower is busy at his craft on the top floor. The building itself is a relic, along the city walls - a great pedestrian zone offering city and panoramic views with lovely fauna, flora, benches and laid back vibe. This is the largest collection of curated glass that I’ve seen since I visited Venice several years ago.

Amazing place! Great antique finds and beautifuly exposed. Not to mention breathtaking art on the walls presenting glass making history. A must-see in Zadar ❤️

Interesting small museum in old town Zadar. It was cool to see glass blown objects from thousands of years ago. It's fairly small, we walked through in about 30 min but we didn't read all the signs. Id recommend for a quick trip!

Semi interesting museum if your looking to kill some time. I’m not convinced on the prices because it’s mainly just a collection of glass items from different periods of time (like very old glass) The most worthwhile experience there was the glass blowing demonstration. That was absolutely fascinating. But if you do that I believe they end at 1pm so get there on the earlier side.

We only visited here as the reviews were good and better than I would have expected for an ancient glass museum. Verdict is that we also enjoyed it more than expected. Even if you are not interested in ancient glass the exhibition is well curated, so you learn about the history of the glass and it all becomes more interesting. It is amazing the quantity (over 5000 pieces here) and quality of very old glass from 1st century onwards that has been found, a lot almost perfectly intact. My favourite part though was the modern glass exhibition called “Glass for Eternity” which contained beautiful pieces of glass by an Austrian glass-blower, Peter Kuchler III. Lots of pieces of really beautiful glass of all sorts of colours/designs. Would love to own a piece so loved looking at them all. There is also a glass making workshop on the top floor, but this was sadly closed when we visited (which was fairly late on a weekday in late June).

A must see in Zadar, especially since it’s very close to the old town center. I wasn’t expecting much from a glass museum, but I was extremely impressed by the exhibition, the new things I learned, and also an interactive experience as a bonus at one of the floors.

Lots of glass, lots of glass tubes, bottles and jars, and cups, from very ancient times - rooms and rooms full - actually a bit overwhelming for a non-glass officionado such as myself, but some bits really made it worthwhile for me - specifically finding out the special innovations in glass-making unique to Zadar - the horn cup, two-handed glass plus another; the excavation of ancient tombs, showing the pots, etc. And MOST OF ALL the glass blowing exhibition/performance - AMAZING - and it makes all the innovations fall into place - so very interesting!

This museum is in the heart of Zadar, for a little price you can visit a nice collection presented in an exquisite path created by curators who wanted to evalue the didactic point of view that the manufact gives. I have learned a lot by this visit and now I know much more about glass archaeology! Thank you. To the passengers: don't forget to visit the third floor and have a pick at the artisan of glass at work, it was amazing!

This place is a gem! You learn a bit history of this region while in the museum. The best part is the modern sculptures (we were lucky to get to see one from an amazing artist from Thailand, but you get to see diffrent ones at diffrent times of year). Also there is a demonstration of how the glas was made! Amazing!

Nice place to take a stroll. Not the best place for a swim unless you are wearing water shoes, since both the beach and the seafloor are covered in rocks that can hurt your feet. Rather clean place. We went there in late October, and there were a few people sunbathing and even one or two heroes swimming. Great access from the city, with free parking just across the street

Enjoyed swimming here recently. The water was very crisp but once in, it was superb. So clean and clear and calm. May was a nice time to visit as it was warm but there weren't that many people on the beach so it was super easy to find a spot to lay out our beach towels without overcrowding. There are pebbles to get into the water, which most might wear water shoes but we went in with bare feet with not much trouble.

This is a pebble and stone ground beach. It was great for relaxing and was close to the city. They had some shade structures which was nice and it’s free so you can’t beat that. The water was clean and nice for swimming, it can get crowded since it is walking distance to the city. There are bars near by where you can pick up a drink or snack.

Not much to do as the sea is too cold, not much stores open too, not a big area, probally in the summer will be super crowded. But its a nice place to watch sunset! Had nice photos, also because of less people. Its a rocky beach!

For people who dont have choice this is good beach, but all around Zadar we have much better beach, this one normall need to be last choice

Pebble beach with clean clear water for swimming. Pity there was only a cafe nearby and nobody serving food. We were there in early November and it was lovely and sunny for 2 days and we swam in 20° water. It rained following 2 days but it was winter !! Maybe there is food available in summer ??

Had a fab dip here yesterday. The water is "fresh" (Irish way of saying a little cold) now in May but once you get in for a few minutes it feels great. Yes there are pebbles, if you are familiar with it you'll be fine, otherwise wear water shoes. I used pool shoes (thin water socks) which works great. There are sea urchins a little further out so be careful where you put your feet if you go that deep (maybe you'd need to be very very tall 😜). A really lovely way to see this beautiful location swimming out and looking at the island. ♥️

Very good beach, located almost in the center of Zadar. There are changing rooms available, toilet and showers with tap water to rinse yourself. Unfortunately no dogs are allowed. It would be grate if more shadowed places were available. There were bars close by and water attractions but I didn't visit them.

Absolutely fantastic beach. Was a conversing with some of the locals and they mentioned this beach as being the best around. It was busy but definitely a great place to stop. There are several restaurants around, some chairs for rent, a massage tent with fairly good prices!! And a fairly decent bit of space. Be sure to get there early on a hot day and the place fills up quick! Also don't listen to anyone, bring some water shoes because there be urchins lurking around! It's a rite to be stabbed by one, but it's a misery to walk around like that. Noone needs that while on vacation lol

Lovely little rock/sand beach. A great little walk from the town centre

It's a good beach but there are a few rooks in the water and I'm not the biggest fan of sand but if you don't mind the rooks and the sand you would probably have a lot of fun.

Yes, this is the best beach on Zadar town. A lot of rocks, but you can still enter without them. Water is clear, the coast is concrete with stones above it, but that makes it clean. Please clean after yourself. Good for sunset photos. Swimming was kinda cold in June though. Has a bar and it's generally a free zone, no umbrellas - just trees.

Great public beach. Even in the of October water temperature is around 20c pleasant swim. All area is quite clean. The only downside there is no working showers probably because this is not high season.

It's a stone beach, and in some parts, there is concrete also, so make sure to wear proper footwear, even in the water. There are some beach bars, you can rent a sunbed, there is a public natural pool and other interesting facilities. On the contrary, it is a little bit dirty (not the water but the spots to put the towel, and there are even pieces of glass.

Gravel and concrete beach with no sand but there is a safe swimming area. There are free straw umbrellas, changing pods and showering facilities. This general area is the safest and best place to swim in the city. If you want sands and snorkelling you have to go on a boat tour around the islands. This is a place for early morning swimming and locals exercising.

Wonderful place! Municipal beach with FREE wooden umbrellas and sun loungers for €10. Transparent and clean sea and pebble beach. It is possible to have fun exploring the seabed characterized by an infinity of fish and particular stones. For those who want there are massage centers and bars to eat or drink on the beach itself. There are cabins where you can change for free! Highly recommended especially fof young people!

Regular stone beach. If you have sensible feet or are not used to pebbles beaches you'll need water shoes. Pretty close to the center, you can walk there. 10 Euros for a sun bed.. Just that. Coffees nearby are also pretty regular and kind of pricey. If you don't have a choice it's fine.

Lovely little beach. Not too crowded, especially in the morning (late September). Quite easy to get to from bus station. Fresh water showers available (free).

Beautiful building in the main square surrounded by bars and restaurants. When we were there there was a Banksy exhibition on, we didn't go in. We only got to admire the building from outside.

Now in Croatia, Roman built town/city called Zadar. History abounds to the days of the the Apostles travels. Ancient typical Marble paved streets with apartments, boutique shops, doors in the buildings opening up to restaurants with open air quadrangle and gardens. The city was is surrounded by a wall with a huge tunnel like entrance leading to the harbour/ Marina. Luxurious Multi millionaire private yachts, ferries, boats of of shapes and sizes, and people/tourists from allover the world walking, sitting on pavements restaurants and bars enjoying this beautiful city. I love every minute here, this beautiful still intact country with the Alps and close vicinity to all major counties on Europe. Come an enjoy.

This place has so many bags. From small to big, men to women, key holders and wallets and belts The attendant is really nice and helpful. I think if you need any urgent bag or wanna change bag, or need something new, you should check it out.

I love to come to this square for coffee or just ice cream... because the square has lovely little cafes and the building’s architecture are beautiful.... when is hot can be really hot due is in the heart of the old city centre there is wind blowing.... near by there are many little boutiques and museums.

Very lovely ancient place in the heart of Zadar. Luckily Zadar is still affordable for regular tourists, not like Split or Dubrovnik that are absolutely overpriced. Visit Zadar, it's truly beautiful and worth every penny 👍❤️😍

It's not just the ice of the rink, but an ideology that will influence hundreds to come. I'm so proud of the boys, although I don't think Lufthansa flies here. Really lovely square in the heart of the old town with beautiful buildings and a host of cafes and restaurants. On one side of the square is the City Sentinel built in the second half of the 16th century, with a clock tower that has been in continuous function since 1803. Amazing green river below Velebit mountain. Several years ago I was here on rafting and that was very nice experience. This time we have explored beautiful canyon in the sunrise I can recommend and hope that pictures will show at least part of the beauty we have enjoyed. I will be coming back for sure to try canoeing and to explore this wonderful place more as well.

For me it is one if the most amazing places on planet. Take a boat and get to the waterfalls. You can swim there or jump from waterfall. Water is clean an still not so many tourists. Great place.

Beautiful canyon. I went during sunset. The road I agree is a little bumpy, I parked closer to the main road, it is an easy 10 minute walk to the canyon but judge for yourself base on the type of vehicle you have.

Spectacular canyon, best to view from above from Old Winnetou site and then go with boat or SUP. Start from Maslenica and enter the canyon after 2-3 km over the sea. Or start the long way from Obrovac down the river. I had the wind against me all the time, though that way.

Also known as Saint Chrysogonus Gate, this small baroque gate is located in the eastern side of the defensive walls of Zadar. Nowadays the gate leads to the marina. It is a pedestrian only structure with some details remaining from the original venetian decorations.

Even you cant see the Sea through it, the yachts are parking exactly in front of the gates. Which blocks the view.
