First time being in a cave, cool place to view. Guide tours in both Italian and English, also possible to ask questions in French. Typical tourist attraction but one definitely worth doing when in Alghero.

Absolutely dissapointing..arrived at the cave and captain said that weather is not good to park the boat. Did not even reach the entrance to see that. At that moment the waves was 0.6-0.8m. They already told while buying tickets that if weather is not good they will just swim around with the boat (like they knew that it will happen from the beginning).

The place is so good and the long boat ride seeing the cliffs was awesome. The boat ride to the caves was 40 minutes and costed 15 euros.

Really disappointed. We took the boat and they didn't say anything bad about the weather. We arrived to the grotto and they decided to go back because of the waves (I found this OK, but is not like they can't know this before going, specially because it wasn't the first boat today and there was another one on the site dropping off some passengers). The trip per se is nothing amazing, it was fine though, we took the boat because there are not buses on Sunday 😢

It's, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful things in sardinia. So worth it!

This is a trip you must do. The Grotte is a wonderful sight to see (price is completely seperate to the boat ride out and my experience is that you are told this) I have seen dolphins on 2 trips out to the Grotte and Steps. The crew on Debora are great. Very welcoming and hospitable. Coffee and refreshments are served on board ☕️

This place is really nice. The views are amazing. But there are a lot of cars during a day so you may spent few minutes with finding a free spot to park. But it definitely worth a visit.

Capo Caccia is one of the most beautiful natural sites of Western Sardinia. Situated not far from Alghero, this rock formation jutting into the sea is visible from far away and adds depth to the horizon that you see from the city. You can combine your trip to Neptune's Grotto with a visit to this area. Some of the pictures that you take if you are arriving by boat will make this natural wonder seem gigantic. That's because as you get closer to the tip, your photo angles are low. Close-ups of the rock will be reminiscent of the heads of some marine animals. It's a magical place.

This place must to be seen, good view and relaxing atmosphere! The entrance for the cave trough stairs is €14, but it worth to see!

Rent a bicycle from Alghero and in one hour you reach this corner of heaven. Great views of the surrounding area. Everyone visiting Alghero should go to Capo Caccia. Stunning view on both of the sides over the sea and the bay!

The peak is not accessible (June 2023) as it's a military area. However close to this location is also the walking entrance (650 steps) to the grotta Nettune (15€ per person, guided tour ever full hour) for which most of the 5 star reviews are.

The sunset from this place is worth the whole trip.

Beautiful beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available €25 for day. €18 for half day.or just bring your own beach mat. Great snack bar/ restaurant. At times there is a waft of eggs smell from the piles of rotting seagrass. But beautiful white sands and clean crystal clear water. Much nicer than the lido beach which is disappointing.

I like this beach much more than Lido beach. Lido beach can smell bad if the water is not warm enough (due to the algae). The water at this beach is crystal clear. While swimming we saw some tiny fish 😄. Naturally you can find some pinecones and branches on the beach from the trees but it didn’t bother me.

Maria Pia is a lovely beach with white sand, dunes, and turquoise waters near Alghero. We visited the beach when in Alghero for a weekend. As it is close, we waddled there. From the city center, it took us about 40 minutes at a chill pace. My favorite part is the entrance, where you have to go through a pine forest. It's magical. And then the white sand and giant dunes. It is among the best beaches in Sardinia and I agree. If you don't want to walk there you can take a taxi or the local bus. The beach has all necessities, a bathroom, and bars to refresh. The beach is also easily accessible with wheelchairs, it has a wooden pathway.

Such a beautiful beach. We didn't expect that a public beach (free entrance any time of the day/night) could be so clean. If you are there I simply recommend visiting it!

The beach is really good and long. I would highly recommend you to come early morning, because otherwise you will not have umbrellas and sunbeds to rent. Parking for the whole day for 1 car 12 Eur. Sun beds prices -7/8 Eur per one, umbrella - 7 Eur. The great part I loved were the trees behind the beach that provided you shadow in case you are not passionate about sunbathing. The beach is a sort of Laguna so you are surrounded by the islands hills. We have spent a great day over here.

August 2023 : As packed as it was a year before! Car park is 1 Euro an hour, plenty of facilities including free shower. Bars and restaurants. Rentals of equipment too. July 2022 : Out of season it must be one of the most beautiful place in Sardegna... In high season, it s absolutely packed! Although not too many people do seem to like the sea 🌊 😂, so you are fine if you avoid the sandy beach! Many small food/drink outlets, a few pedalos and boat rental.

This was a nice surprise. Very wide sea 🌊 available for swimming (shallow water till further), emerald green and clean water, lots of beautiful fish in the sea. Clean water and warm and chilled, no waves, just beautiful to enjoy yourself in it. We paid in June 2023 - 21 eur for front row setup. The gazebo that was taking care of the beach front has also some good basic food (panini and other sandwiches- good prices for a snack). They have shower service 1 eur (you need coin), same for WC. We chose the Paid parking and it was 1 eur/hour. I would definitely come back.

It is a quiet beach even in August, with a very clean and transparent water. The clear sand is not sticky, despite being very fine powder. Surrounded by a vast space with pines and other trees you can spend a whole day and enjoy sun, shadow, water and sand at your convenience.

The best beach so far on my Sardinia trip and I’d rate this one higher than Peloso as it wasn’t completely full of people even on a Saturday (went to Peloso the day before and decided against it as people were crammed on the beach). The water is crystal clear and it’s ideal for children as they can walk in very far. Very small waves only near the beach and the beach itself was very clean. Enough parking still at 10:30am even got a spot in the shade. The only thing that one might miss is the fact that there’s nothing much in the water to see (no fishes), so if you plan to snorkel this isn’t the right place. But for a wonderful day at the beach with nearby restaurants this is the place to be!

A nice short hike down the 654 stairs to the cave. You need to buy tickets and start your way down approximately 30 minutes to the hour. Note that if you want to see the light house the entrance is prohibited because the whole end of the peninsula is a military area, sadly.

At the very end of the scenic road to capo Caccia. There is a bar/cafe open in summer and the paid tour (14 euros) of Neptunes cave via a cool set of stairs. Expensive for a walk and cave tour but it iscan amazing walkway/stairs they have built down the sheer cliff. In summer the beach bus goes all the way here. Its also possible to bike on the nearly empty roads in winter but nearly 60km roundtrip. You can also visit via a boat tour from Alghero marina.

Interesting and well maintained complex of a Nuragh settlement with comprehensive explanations (incl. an audio-guide in different languages). A Museum Shop and a Cafe are adjacent.

I can only say that this is a place of beauty and of miracles , I had a unplanned chat with god here whilst on holiday with my immediate and extended family to help me recover from illness that I’ve suffered over the last few years , it is a place of warmth and instantly I felt at home as if it was meant to be . I visited twice , the first visit a impulse as I passed by , I went in and I had a private chat with god and told him my thoughts , I had never in my life visited a church to do so , I then visited a second time a couple of days later as I passed again , drawn in by the atmospheric music of a piano and flute playing random music . I again spoke to god , this time as I turned around to leave he answered through the music , a music score started playing from without a doubt my favourite film ever and a part of it where the hero fights back. Only god could have known this , a music score in a church is random enough never mind my favourite piece , it has given me the hope and the strength to start the fight I need to get my life back on track . The cathedral of Alghero is small and hardly merits its appellation. It's still a place to visit when you are touring the old center of the city. Its location is ideal. The street in front is decorated with hanging birdcages. All the streets around have good shops and restaurants that will keep you busy for a couple of hours.

Such a beautiful cathedral. It recently finished an 8 year long restoration. It has many fascinating objects, sculptures and paintings. My favourite was the two white marble lions at the front of the alter leading down to the main aisle.

The room was very small and smelled really bad due to lack of ventilation in the bathroom. The beds were super small even for us and we are definitely petite compared to most Europeans. The cleaning ladies were very friendly and helpful but the guys at the reception were not able to help much in terms of where to go or what to do in the city. They did help with our luggages because there was not elevator. You can’t adjust the temperature of the AC and it was pretty loud at night too. The breakfast was quite standard and okay but it was the same every day throughout our stay. The location is superb as restaurants are right downstairs and it’s only a few minutes walk to the downtown area.

Loving being in this hotel! Quaint, historical, beautiful, comfortable, very adequate breakfast and absolutely wonderful attention! Will certainly come again!

Bedroom is really basic, good breakfast. Parking is hugo problem, we found 700m from hotel near park (6E per night).

Nice place with atmosphere, the furniture is little bit older, but if You are searching for the nice stalish place in the middle of historical center of Alghrro, then this is a great choice even little bit more expensive

Nice place, impressive tumbs, you can walk around the site freely and even try to enter in some tumbs if you fit. I missed the audio guide, that was not offered to me (there was audio guide signs all o we the place) but I saw another family using one. Would be nice to have a sign saying what I can and a can’t do in the place, looks like there’s no rules.

It is cool. Not that big. But only costs 5€ per person. Worth a short visit. Keep in mind it is super sunny so don’t go on a hot day in the middle of the heat. They require COVID vaccine pass (as of August 2021). Free parking in front.

Interesting archaeological site, easy to access if you're driving near Alghero. A spacious field filled with different sized tombs. You can walk partly into the tombs wich adds to the experience. Information available was more extensive than other Nuraghe sites i visited.

Wow! I was totally impressed by these remains. Incredibly well preserved and you are able to get very close to them, allowing you to better understand their layout and imagine what life was like in these times.

Very interesting, but pretty much impossible to visit with public transportaton. Cattogno buses have tours at Tuesdays, if enough people are interested, but I didn't luck out. The necropolis itself can be bad for people afraid of tight spaces, since you pretty much have to crawl in, but it's very beautiful on the inside.

Great place to visit but seems to need more archeological exploration to see what other exciting history can be discovered. You'll need to get on your hands and knees to enter some of the chambers but well worth it.

A leap into the past in Anghelu Ruju and Palmavera. Beginning over 3000 BC. A culture that blends with Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Greeks, Romans, which leaves us traces of its buildings (Nuraghi) of over 2000 years ago and which unfortunately is mostly unknown to us. With masterful ability, our guide dr. Giovanna Tanda, archeologist, helped us retrace the fundamental stages of the Nuragic populations. A story unknown to me, despite the various visits to Sardinia. Deserves to be deepened. Thanks Giovanna for encouraging us to embark on our journey to discover the archaeological sites and the nuraghi in the rest of the island.

Super! We stayed at the wine resort for two nights and our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The resort is truly beautiful, nestled amongst vineyards and mountains. The rooms are simple but very well kept, the breakfast our favourite in Sardinia! (Homemade jams, amazing cakes and the option for a hot savoury plate). The staff were faultless, incredibly attentive and very welcoming. We highly recommend the wine tour on the site, and encourage you take the panini by the pool! Wonderful experience all round.

From a functional point of view this place was good. Decent rooms, good breakfast, nice pool. A good base to explore the area. The service just felt a little robotic at times - if not transactional - and a bit more warmth and perhaps informal interaction with staff would go a long way to feeling more welcome. Probably not a big deal for most people but after staying in a family-run place before, we really noticed the difference here. Also for a '4 star' hotel, we would have expected a proper dinner (as opposed to cold snacks only) and basic things like an iron \ ironing board to be available. With the lack of these, it felt more like a B&B. And perhaps therefore the price point was a bit steep for what it was. But to be totally objective, the staff were very helpful when we had questions and were well trained. Hence I have left a 3 star review as we were satisfied over all.

Beautiful tranquil place to stay. The rooms are traditional and lovely and clean. There are lovely places to sit all around the grounds and a quiet pool. The lady who looks after guests both in the afternoon and into the evening makes everyone feel welcome, and also hosts an extremely informative wine tasting everyday... and to top things off, the wine is just amazing!!

The 'Guided Wine and Olive Oil Tasting' experience was superb. There was very interesting and informative storytelling by the attentive and passionate hostess. After the tasting, we had the option to extend the experience by visiting the vineyard. The entire experience left me curious to see the winery where the wine is actually made. I would give it a 10/10 and highly recommend it!

Beautiful vineyard and amazing tour with a wine tasting experience! I would like to thank our tour guide today, she was friendly, passionate and extremely knowledgeable! She started by explaining the history of this amazing vineyard, and took us to a tour of the old and new cellars. The tour finished with delicious wine tasting and traditional Sardinian treats (including pane carasau, pecorino and salsiccia sarda). Definitely highly recommend it!

We had a great tour of the wineyard with Antonella. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. We also enjoyed the tasting Sella e Mosca + Marras option. The vineyard is huge and well kept.

The garden was beautiful,but!We would like taste some wine.They asked us to go out on the terrace.There were only few people.We were waiting more than half an hour,but nobady came to us.We tasted on other place.There were very kind,the wines were also excellent.

The wine tasting and tour was fully booked but we had a perfectly lovely time enjoying the sunshine on the terrace, with wines ordered by the glass.

We visited this beautiful and well maintained winery and enoteca with our children (age 13, 13 and 10). The tour was nice and informative, but the facility is very commercial. Our wine tasting was accomplished by a small selection of local appetizers. However, our children did not receive any food or even water was not offered to them (we shared our plates with them). Additionally, one of the white wines we were supposed to be tasting was no longer available for sale. The glass already poured was taken away from us and replaced with another similar quality wine without explanation (I understood what happened from the conversation among staff). The mistake should have been corrected by leaving the glass in place snd pouring the replacement wine in another glass with an explanation. No explanation was offered. Overall, a decent experience in a beautiful facility, but I would not recommend for families. Everywhere we went in Italy (Santa Giulia winery and Castel Verranzzano in Tuscany as examples) children were noticed and taken care of. Not much was offered to them here...

Highly recommended! The tour through the place is an amazing experience, our guide was not only very knowledgeable regarding the history of the place, wine and winery in general but also clearly extremely prepared on local history. The tour was about 2 hours long and already worth the price! It ended with a wine tasting (you can select how many you would like to taste when you book your tour) in the beautiful dedicated indoor space.
