Just speechless! Amazing place on Earth, with white sandy beaches. I have never seen sooo white sand before like this island has. It’s like a 40 mins trip with Catamaran from mainland, not sure how much is it if you book independently, I went by cruise and booked the shore experience through the cruise line. There is a bar on the island, you can buy cold beverages and snacks too. Toilets are also provided. No rubbish bins on the islands, YOU MUST take all rubbish back with you, really important. You are allowed to swim in the ocean but not in the lake. Overall an amazing breathtaking place, highly recommended to visit.

You can bring your own food and really do camping or eat at the restaurants. We did a little bit of both, mostly the alcohol part😛 coming from the USA we couldn't bring camping gear. They have everything you need but have still preserved the islands. They have kept it from becoming commercialized. There is a limit to how many people can visit a day.

Was a little intimidated by the thought of climbing up there. Turned out the walk up the winding paths under those magnificent ancient trees was very pleasant. At first I couldn't see much of Vigo below due to the huge trees. Then as I gradually walked higher the view became better and better. I was here mid day on a Monday. There were a few people but overall it was a quiet place with nice little surprises around the corners beginning with the massive gates when i entered the fort. There are some fountains and beautiful flowers. I was even able to see the islands with that incredible sandy beach off in the distance. Wish I would have had more time to spend up at the Castelo.

Beautiful place for breakfast and people watching out in the sunshine. The menu board outside was in Spanish. Server did not speak English so I asked for a menu and a Cafe Americano. I got my Cafe Americano plus a small piece of cake but no silverware. The table next to me got silverware. No problem. I was hungry and I used my fingers to pick up the cake. It was good. When we got off the ferry I did ask our guide, who spoke English, if there was anything important we needed to know. He told us to join the group and he would provide information. When he did speak to the group, he said he was only going to speaking in Spanish. My issue is that if I ask a question about important info, he should have been able to say something like make sure you are back at a certain time. Have fun, anything quick and easy. We were made to feel like we were the "dreaded Americans ". Otherwise the scenery was absolutely beautiful and it was a nice day. If you do not speak Spanish, I wouldn't recommend this tour.

Very poor online website for booking. Called twice and they had problems with their own system each time and asked me to call back in 10 minutes. Walked 45 minutes to their sales office and they wanted double the online price. Chose a competitor because they insulted my efforts to do business with them.

Good ferry service, nice staff able to involve all the travellers. I had a nice cross to the Ciés Island this winter ( Mar dos Ons organises trip also during the winter so check their website), and on the way back we have been offered of cider and Roscón de Reyes.

Impossible to find it !!! We almost lost the trip because the directions. You call them to try to understand where to get the boat and the say “sorry I’m from Vigo, I don’t know”. The address they bring you is wrong, it’s around one km away from the correct address. Bad experience !

Website does not work, no one answers the phone and staff at the ticket office is overwhelmed. We came 40 minutes before the departure and they were not able to sell us 10 tickets in that time. We had completed the registration with the national park but they were too slow and incompetent to sell us a ticket. Fortunately we ended up finding a private sailboat charter in a different part of the dock - which was much better for our large group.

I travelled already with them twice to Cies. Very professional service. The online experience went smooth and it was always a short and fast queue to pick up the tickets. Everyone is very nice, explains very well everything you need to know.

We loved this intricate and informative museum. The expositions are all super interesting and well-documented. The aquarium was our favorite part, seeing the shark eggs was the cherry on the cake! Most of the panels are only in Spanish, however, so be sure to have a translator handy.

Well worth a visit. Lots to see and amazing views over the water.

Some really good artefacts set out very well. Friendly staff, but very little labeled up in English, lots of guess work when looking at the displays, still worth a visit though. Check opening times.

The museum is interesting despite not being very thoroughly curated. Lot of exhibits were lacking in-depth explaination, and the cards in the acquarium were only loosely related to the fish actually there, some missing in the descriptions, some in the tanks... The temporary exhibit included some interesting equipment (most of it not really "museum grade", you can find better 'bitacoras' in antique shops around the town), the submarine section was awesome with its original unique torpedo buoy and maritime rescue equipment. The biological cabinet is an interesting addiction despite lacking a unified discourse about the topic. The second, larger, room holds some interesting boats and models, while the lower floor -that we could only quickly visit- showcases some cool artifacts and finds about the maritime archaeology and anthropological history of Galicia. My main complaint is about the management of the place. The personnell is kind and caring, but the extremely convoluted suggested visit path for the musum is explained just through a quick rundown at the ticket desk, directions in the museum are non-existant. Oh, and the main issue: opening hours. That is the worst, a joke. Museum is open 11–14, 17–20. There is no way to visit temporary and permanent exhibits, the archeological floor, the biological cabinet, the acquarium in just one morning or afternoon. Visiting with a young kid we needed to take our time to explain many of the exhibits, so at some point we had to rush through part of the collections to have a chance to see the acquarium before closing time. I am at a loss trying to understand why the opening time is not continuous throughout the day, and will not come back until they fix this major issue.

It was a great surprise in our trip to Vigo. I was with kids and they had a wonderful time in a rainy day! The aquarium is small but very well done.

Lovely museum and cheap entry at €5. A full tour will take 90mins to two hours and comprises two buildings, an aquarium and an outdoor area where you can see the fishing boats and the lighthouse. The museum is bright and air-conditioned and the lady on reception spoke excellent English though I replied in Spanish as wanted to test that too. There was a school tour at the time but they were well behaved and respectful the couple of times our paths crossed, something that doesn't happen often due to the yellow arrows marking the way. Only one large room includes English translation of the Galician fishing industry and the rest just in Spanish and Gallego. There was a huge conservation exhibit with lots of preserved animals and plants. Plenty to see and would have liked more on the Armada/Drake.

Wonderful beach area to have a stroll away from the city. I came around by sunset and was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful environment, boats, museum and lighthouse. I felt lucky to have captured the sunset here during my short trip to Vigo.

If you’re not into museum, it’s worth getting there just for the building itself. Modern architecture and a building that fits in the environment. Located in between 2 beaches and a stretch that leads to a lighthouse, with a nice café/restaurant that serves delicious dishes. When I visited, there was a temporary photo exhibition about the Portuguese Camino to Santiago de Compostela. Mix of 19th, 20th and 21st century photos. The permanent exhibition tells you all about the Galician fishing industry which is interesting considering the many changes due to geopolitical events throughout the periods of time.

The outcome exceeded my initial expectations. A thorough reading of all the captions is recommended.

Originally a prison in 1880 it's now a trendy, modern Art Museum. Perfectly situated in centre next to all shops and services. Good cafeteria/restaurant too.

Interesting exhibition and the bonus was a coffee shop on the ground floor.

One of the best contemporary art museums I have been to. The layout is very interesting, so it's easy to get lost and keep finding new exhibits. They have some really good stuff on display, things you wouldn't expect to find, and it's overall just a really great place. Entirely worth the visit

It’s deserved to visit. Beautiful building and location. When I been here, it’s a exhibition about Jurio Verne . He is my children hood hero.
