Excellent show (Waitress) The overall impression of the theatre was positive. Feels a little dated/worn-out in places and the seats are quite basic ( became uncomfortable after an hour or so). The staff were friendly and professional, the toilets were clean and COVID guide lines implemented.

Sally assistance hound and I attended the Royal & Derngate theatre to see 2:22 A Ghost Story for the Wednesday afternoon screening and what a wonderfully entertaining and fabulous experience it was too! Sally and I were extremely well looked after by the "ushers in orange ties" who are specifically there to help folk with special needs. It was a wonderful play. There were about 600 people present in a 1000 seat theatre. Worth the effort and cost in my opinion. Well performed. Well written plot and dialogue. I loved it! Note well that if you're affected by bright flashing lights and exceptionally loud noises this play may not be for you!

A theatre of the highest quality with a warm entrance at the door and 100% service behind the bar. The theatres themselves offer good views of the stage for every show and the seats have plenty of space for your sitting comfort. It is always heated well so in colder weather there is never anything to worry about and with it being in the heart of Northampton it is always easy to go elsewhere once you are done at Royal and Derngate.

There are two theatres on this site. The original theatre is beautiful, the modern theatre is functional but definitely lacks the gold gilt and red velvet visu impact of the older theatre. Both are comfortable but there are stairs all over the place because the modern Derngate has been built on a slope. There are lifts for those with mobility challenges, but I admit that I struggle and I am not even in a wheelchair. I only found out that there is a disabled toilet on the Derngate main floor this week. I have been going to shows here for 20 years! The acoustics in both spaces are great. Your experience will vary according to what you have chosen to see. There is a multi-storey carpark down the (steep) hill. It is tight for modern cars. The queues to pay and then to exit can be long after a performance, so be prepared to wait. There is a closer small car park but I have never worked out how to get into it!

Excellent show last night:Lost in music. Most of the audience having a boogie. Bar staff upstairs at the interval were very speedy.

Interesting layout for a theatre this size. Very poor ventilation, so air becomes very stale quite quickly. The ability to exit at the end of the performance is hampered by all leaving on one side without adequate exit points.

Had a great time at The Derngate to watch Alan Carr. Unfortunately you weren't able to reserve drinks for the interval but staff were quick and friendly.

Nice restored small victorian theatre once home to errol flynn,good view of the stage.trouble that some people think going to the theatre is an opportunity to rustle sweetbags and snack throughout a performance. Disrespectful to others and cast alike

As a wheelchair user and the first time going to the theatre in a wheelchair. It was fantastic. The staff could not do enough to help, in fact they went above and beyond. Went to see jersey boys, really good. Great view and as I am 6ft 7inches tall there was plenty of space and leg room even in a wheelchair. It's worth noting the theatre here have their own access scheme here for wheelchair users. The foyer and bar areas are lovely and spacious and modern . Top marks to the lady who came to check on us throughout the evening. You were fantastic. Will be going back here to the derngate again.

Went to see Murder in the Dark on Saturday 21st October. The play was absolutely brilliant & well worth the money, with all parts being played extremely well. Staff on the night were friendly, cheerful and very helpful. All round, an excellent evening. Thank you Royal & Derngate!

Brilliant show. Well organised with different doors for entry so you didn't have to queue. However our door was C so we had to walk a way to get there and didn't know this until we got an email the day before and as we hadn't been before to door C we didn't know how far it was. Would not be great for more senior people who aren't 100% steady on their feet.

Love this venue. Parts of the building were closed off for safety measures, but still a lovely atmosphere. Clean and friendly vibe. We saw SIX on this occasion. Terrific show, great costumes, lovely 'feel good' punchy, songs. Funny, girl power view of history. (A bit 'Horrible Histories' for women) Wonderful cast. Good service for drinks, multiple bars open.

Came to watch the elo show, it's been ages since we've been and we had such a fun night! Clean loos and pleasant staff made this a good night.

Fabulous family show. Went to the SEN showing , didn't notice anything different really. Cast introduction of their characters was excellent at the beginning of the panto. Great production.

A lovely theatre, with a wide variety of shows. Because of the issues with the concrete, parts of the venue are closed, which makes it a slightly less pleasant visit as you go in the back way to some areas. Enjoyed Snow White (panto) and Six (musical) recently. The temporary toilets near the entrance to the Filmhouse are tiny, so use toilets inside the theatre if you are able.

Our visit was to see Elio Pace and his band Billy Joel Songbook. We had seats in the stalls where it started to tier. The view and sound was great. The age of the venue shows, as my seat had a large colour matching patch to cover a worn area on the front edge. There were plenty of venue staff to serve you quickly at the interval. The queue and wait for the ladies was reasonable, as there were an adequate number of them. The only negative experience of the night was having a bunch of keys jangled in front of us by a member of venue staff. Presume this was her way to encourage us to leave at the end of the night, whilst we chatted in the bar area with some of the band members and fans.

Very good show, it's a bit crowded with the restrictions in place at the moment. Parking though is becoming a joke and is off putting at the end of an enjoyable evening

The first show since reopening (having been closed because of RAAC). Obviously there are some difficulties caused by the main entrance still being a construction site. But largely, this was handled very well by the staff. Some improvements could be made to the logistics to the temporary arrangements, but on the whole things ran smoothly. The show was great and the facilities are good.

Beautiful place to go for a picnic... plenty of alcove type views of the lakes. If you enjoy country walks, birdwatching, iron age findings, and brilliant play area for children. Highly recommend a visit.

Come here often to walk the dog. Great views, different pathways so always something new to see. Lovely shack, for beverages and snacks. Pay for parking 3.80 for the day so reasonable. Play area for the children.

Lovely area. Took the 2 kids and they loved it. The walk around the lakes in great with so much wildlife. Will definitely be returning and using their BBQ area. Playgrounds for all ages, assault course, zip line and a splash area. Seating inside, cafes, picnic areas and reasonable parking price of 4.50 for the day. Definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Really nice place for a walk, spread over quite a large area so even when busy it doesn’t feel it. Lots of parking available. A lovely cafe with refreshments too.

Lovely place. You do have to pay for parking. However, there are multiple ways to walk in if you live locally or are happy to park and walk to it. Lovely visitor centre where you can get drinks and food. Toilets are also available. Wonderful kids play area, situated next to the Rangers Hut. There are always lots of activities running for kids and adults. Friendly staff and well looked after. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on lead at all times. Doggy ice cream is available. Dogs are able to be taken into the visitor centre.

Went there on a weekend. Parking was paid and needs to be paid before you exit. The play area was really great with lots of fun stuff for kids of all ages. It was a little crowded with loads of families and kids, but we didn't have to wait for any of the slides. Our 3 yo enjoyed his time, and loved playing in the sand. One unique thing was the water flowing through the play area and down some wooden structures and places where kids could dip their legs and splash around in. The park itself is huge and there are several areas to walk. We saw quite a few families putting down blankets and having a picnic. Would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone looking for a fun outing or a picnic.

Easy parking with plenty of room. The park was busy but never felt crowded. There’s plenty to do and see. There’s an adventure playground, great walking and cycling paths and info boards with historical and nature facts. We’ll worth a visit for a fun and cheap day out.

Beautiful well kept nature park which so much to do and see. Family weekend walk round the trails did not disappoint. Plenty of open spaces for kids to run around. A treehouse which the kids found really engaging and finishing off the trail on one of the many playgrounds in the area. Truly was a fantastic, well kept park. And for parking for the whole day £4.50 for the whole day was not bad either.

Perfect for everybody! This place is known mostly for its amazing play area! We didn't have children with us but the walks around the lakes were beautiful. Not too long but plenty of different walks. Great little cafe, plenty of picnic benches around. There were also little play areas along the walks to keep little ones entertained! Parking prices were very reasonable as well. Great day out :)

A great place to take the kids. A big playground with things for a range of ages and then lots of paths around lakes to take a walk that suits how long you'd like to be there. There are several bird hides around to watch the wildlife. There's an adventure walk with a zip line and tyre swings too.

What a beautiful place, I really recommend going here, the lakes are beautiful. The water is so clear under the bridge that you can see the fish. The park for the children is amazing. Especially the water feature they can play with. I haven't managed to go all the way around, but definitely will go back when I visit my cousin again. The assault course was great fun. Either grab yourself a picnic or buy food here and enjoy a great family day out.

Great place for walking and seeing the wildlife. Buying a year's membership works out cheaper if you live locally and can visit at least once a month. Always a little windy here.

As you would expect, the playground was busy and the queues for ice creams were long, but the walks around the lakes were peaceful. We managed to get the second to last parking spot in the overflow car park. Parking is reasonably priced.

Friendly place for family time out🥰. Kid's can play with adults supervision, they will get really muddy, but it's easy to wash😁😁😁,as its only water and sand😜. Kid's definitely will have beautiful memories after visiting this place🥰. Love it✅ No need for booking tickets in advance as it payable only the car park, £6.5 all day, or you can choose its different rates for 2 or more hours.

Fantastic place, full of endless fun. There is huge playground, with water play in the summer. Kids can play in the sand as well. There is also a very long walk around lakes with sculptures, things to see, climbing walls and much more. There is also a fantastic obstacle course. You can visit this place on a bike or walk around it. The cafe is lovely and overlooking the lake. The food is very good.

Although the house was of stately home proportions, you could tell it was someone's actual home. Without exception, all the staff were really friendly. They encouraged you to ask questions and seemed genuinely interested in where you were from and why you were there. It never felt busy, and the walk to Princess Diana's last resting place was quite peaceful. There are a number of benches around the lake for reflection. I liked that they didn't push their products or food onto you. In fact, they have provided a nice picnic area for you if you want to take your own food. Only those with a disability are allowed to be driven up to the property. All other visitors park in a field opposite the entrance gate. There is then a 10 min walk to the house.

Lovely house. Pity that a lot of the rooms are gated off so you can only see part of the room. The guide book does compensate somewhat. Long gallery is the highlight. No photography inside allowed. Walk to the lake to see Diana's resting place which is reflective and peaceful.

This is an amazingly beautiful place, I went on my own as I wanted some peace and tranquility..... And I found it! My photos don't do the grounds justice, especially Diana's lake! Staff are friendly and helpful. Only two negatives one was that I didn't think that there a great choice of food in the tea room, especially savory food, but this could be because of covid restrictions. There is a lovely picnic area on the other side of the court yard.. Which is set in a lavender walled garden. The other being only one lot of toilets, which is by the picnic area... But if your disabled it's more of a problem as the grounds are vast. All in all this is a fantastic place to go for the day.... I ran out of time and didn't even look in the house.. So I will be going again very soon 😁

We travelled quite a distance (Lancashire) to see this historic site and also to pay our respects to an unforgettable people's Princess and great lady. Although there is no longer a museum dedicated to her memory I think her memories live on at this estate for all to see...her resting place is in a beautiful location at the lake and there's also a wonderful memorial at the side of said lake. Present within the walls of the historic Althorp house is a very large wall hung painting of Diana along with her father, brother Charles and his wife....although we'd all like to see more tributes of Diana at the end of the day it was her home, it was also the Spencer family home so I think personally it's a tasteful balance between the history of the estate, the Spencer family and a gentle tribute to our Princess. I would definitely recommend visiting not just for Diana but the history surrounding the family and the estate.

My partner and I really enjoyed the visit. 14/7/21 Staff were very knowledgable and friendly. Weather was lovely so it made the walking around the grounds even more enjoyable and so peaceful. The stables/ cafe lovely touch. Prices were reasonable. It was a pleasure to meet Andy as we were leaving. Worth every penny. We would like to thank everyone for making a day very enjoyable . Wanted to visit Princess Diana's childhood home so when on holiday we booked advance tickets to see through it. One of the guides, Sarah, was so knowledgeable and friendly, she made our trip special. So much history to this family which I didn't know before. The rooms were lovely to see in all their splendour. Gift shop quite small but worth a visit. Not much about Diana, other than 2 portraits of her and a photograph. Visited the garden too where we went to the pond and island where Diana is buried. Saa the memorial plaques too in a serene, tranquil spot. We visited on a warm day which enhanced our trip.

Wonderful stately home of the Spencer family. Tour of the property was insightful, with the art collection and walking to the Diana memorial is a peaceful place to sit. Note, don't forget your umbrella! 😊

It was my first visit in a number of years - I was lucky enough to visit several times during the Diana Exhibition years. Whilst all of that has now gone, it is still a beautiful place to visit and on a nice day, sit in the peaceful setting of the Oval Lake.

A real mixed bag. Firstly the general car park is a little way from the house. Although not busy , it is recommended you book before you go. If you are not a historic house member then entrance fee at £25 is a bit steep. However the house itself inside is superb (less said about the outside the better, though insipid would be a good word). There is some wonderful art, porcelain and furniture in the house. The guides in the room , although few , are very knowledgeable. Let's be perfectly honest the house is the best part, the lake where princess Diana is buried is nice enough , but there are no real gardens to speak of , and very little on Princess Diana. If you are hoping for a shrine to her , you will no longer find it here. There is a distinctly poor gift shop , which seems intent on supplying Charles Spencer books than offering any variety. The cafe is passable but won't blow your mind. In summary , go for the beautiful house as there is little else here.

Lovely house in picturesque well kept grounds, wild deer roaming around and loads of history to the house and family, the island where Diana laid to rest is a nice place for a sit down and to rest and reflect. great day out when it’s open, and Earl Spencer appears for book signings in the gift shop, highly recommended.

Ample car parking just outside the main estate gates in a field. A short walk through an avenue of oak trees to the stable block where there is a cafe, outside seating , toilets and a gift shop. Then another short walk to the main house, there are guides in the rooms and there is a lot to see on 2 levels. There are extensive grounds with the Princess Diana memorial by the Oval lake. The gardens are nice and lovely views over the Northamptonshire Countryside. A lot of history here and everything was well signed and easy to get around. There are picnic tables but no BBQs are allowed. Glad we went and would advise to buy tickets ahead of the visit.

This was our first visit to Althorp House and we loved it! The house is in immaculate condition and has some stunning paintings, including a few unexpected contemporary ones as well. The grounds are well kept and the memorial to Princess Diana is quite special to see. However, we were slightly disappointed to find that the vast majority of the grounds are closed off to the public, it would be nice to have been able to explore a bit more of it rather than just the bit round the lake (which you could cover within 20 minutes at a steady walking pace). Having said that, we still enjoyed our visit, the guides in the house were friendly and knowledgeable, the staff in the shop and cafe were efficient and friendly too. Just be warned that the car park is across the road in a field, though I think there is a provision for disabled parking nearer the house but check their website for confirmation of this. A good day out for the family and despite some of the little disappointments, we look forward to visiting again when the house is next open.

Thank you for continuing to open your home to us Earl Spencer, and allowing me to pay my respects to Dianas memorial at your families ancestral home. Althorp is wonderfully kept; walking around, you feel the history and love of the place immensely. The house and grounds are immaculate. The rooms of the house are intuitively, tastefully decorated and treasured with antiques, inspiration at every turn. I hope Althorp continues to be loved by the family for centuries to come. The Spencer ancestors would have immense pride in Charles’ work here.

Absolutely amazing this place is. Well kept, clean and so much to see. Prices are accessible and this place has so much to offer it can be considered an all day trip. Visited Castle Ashby Gardens in the middle of the week when it was quiet, as the kids were in school. We had last visited here about 10 years ago when the gardens were much more limited. There is now an alternative entrance off the road into Castle Ashby with a large car park and overflow area. Next to the car park is a very nice cafe and a well equipped children's playground. Access to the gardens is via a path leading to the church, which can be accessed at the same time. The gardens consist of some lovely old glass houses and orangeries along with landscaped gardens and an arboretum. In addition to this there is an area containing various animals ranging from chickens, rabbits and pigs through to meerkats and marmosets. A great place for children with the playground and animals, for the adults with the gardens and buildings, and the cafe for everyone. Highly recommended.

Stunning gardens with so much to see. Such variety of ideas, immaculately maintained. The animals are very entertaining, an unusual selection that I did not expect to see in England!! We didn’t have time to stay for a meal but the staff in the cafe were very nice and the food going out looked good. Perfect place to visit for couples, families and individuals.

Absolutely beautiful gardens, the gardeners do an incredible job and it still looks exceptional despite the hot weather. Friendly staff, just we wished we had brought a picnic as the tearoom was shut! You need to buy your tickets online the day we visited, easy enough with your phone. I loved the orangery!

A fun day out with amazing gardens and animals to enjoy as you walk! The tickets are £10 per person, which have to be bought online, other payment is accepted which I can imagine may be an annoyance to older generations. The gardens were stunning and really quiet especially for a hot summer Saturday, and we loved seeing the animals as we went round. There is a cafe at the entrance but you must leave the gardens to get there. Only improvement I'd say is if there was more seating in shaded areas

Absolutely lovely place to visit. Spent a couple of hours wondering round the gardens, which are very well kept. Lots of gardening inspiration. In the next life I want to be a meerkat (see photo). Lunch in the cafe was excellent value and quality.

Whilst the gardens here are incredibly beautiful, I left my visit sad and worried for the welfare of the majority of the animals kept in the 'Menagerie' part of the gardens. Many of the animals are kept in very small, cramped enclosures - it seems that the animals have been put on display for the sake of the visitors, with little regard for their welfare and this should not be so widely accepted with today's animal welfare standards.

Absolutely lovely and well worth visiting and revisiting. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, which together with the weather, made for a very enjoyable and relaxing visit. They serve up an excellent coffee and walnut cake.

A lovely day out, relaxing and enjoyable for the whole family, from Nan in her 80s in a wheelchair, to the 5 children between 5 and 13. The gardens are wonderful and the menagerie was entertaining. Good selection of drinks and snacks in the cafe as well. We’re definitely coming again soon!

It is a very beautiful garden. Special flowers and very big trees that really impressed us. I went in the autumn season, but I think we will go again in the summer. I think it is an extraordinary beauty in the summer.🌸🌼🌻🌷🪻⚘️🌹🌿🍀☘️🌲🌳

What a great place to spend a fantastic time. A beautiful garden with a magical forest filled with a sea of ​​​​flowers. Lots of plants from different parts of the world creating one beautiful garden with birds, fountains, sculptures... It is definitely worth visiting if you love what mother earth has given us!

Definitely a well recommended destination. Very scenic and tranquil. There is free parking, a nursery to buy plants, and a cafe with lots of variety. Access to the nursery is free, and it costs £10 per adult to experience the gardens. The bluebells were stunning and the main reason we visited.

Beautiful gardens. Go at the end of April,/beginning of May to see the stunning bluebell wood. Loved the ducks, chickens and flamingos. Excellent lunch and cake. Good veggie choices. Well worth the entrance price.

Splendid garden to visit with incredibly colourful and diverse flowers (the map includes a summary of key features depending on month). It was lovely to see the hens and flamingos too. The café has great options for lunch.

Beautiful gardens, lwell cared for, lots of trickling water at different levels throughout the garden.. Was damp underfoot but not too slippery. Nice to see chickens roaming and the flamingos too which didn't bother even though we were in touching distance. Cafe was well organised and reasonably prices. Well with visiting

Coton manor gardens didn't open until 11.30, and the only morning bus route got here at 10.15, so keep that in mind! There is nothing to do in the area if you have spare time before they open. Ticket prices are reasonable. The gardens themselves are very beautiful, and it is clear they have been cared for with great care and detail by the incredible gardeners here! I especially loved the species of plants and flowers and all of the dynamic uses of water around the gardens. I was planning on bringing my young daughter but didn't, I definitely wouldn't suggest bringing a young child here as there are no activities or places to play and you are not allowed picnics on the grounds so I imagine they would be very bored. However, going without children was a pleasant experience overall. The cafe options are underwhelming with quite high prices, but the gardens themselves were fab, and there were hundreds of plant options in the nursery! I'm excited to see it at another time of year because different things will bloom each season. Coton manor gardens were shown in Carol klein's great british gardens show on BBC.

Lovely gardens and bluebell wood. We had a wonderful time with a toddler and a teenager. There is so much to see, from amazing flowers to chickens, cows and flamingos. I really recommend a visit here

Love this place. Very pretty gardens and building. Great place to go with the family. Staff were friendly and helpful and the coffee and cake was delicious. Well worth a visit. We also loved the village of Coton. Small and quiet and very pretty, nice houses. Would love to live here some day.

Flamingo birds are the best thing about this place 😍😍🦩🦩🦩 There is a huge garden that you visit , entrance is 7£ adult and if I remember right 3£ kids. The Flamingo are walking freely so you might get lucky and get a great picture with them There is also a plant nursery and if you go there in the spring time they are offering tulips/daffodils for donations 😍 A coffee shop is at the entrance/exit with outdoor tables, they are serving beverage and ice cream 🍦 and sweets 🥧🍰🍪

Fantastic place, plenty to see, loads of colour and a large variety of different plants,flowers,loads of hidden areas to explore, you’ll need at least 3-4 hrs here, just brilliant.

Beautiful place in the middle of the countryside. We decided to have coffee and cake only. £10 per person for a walk in the gardens we found a bit too expensive.

What fantastic gardens. Time and again I rounded a corner and gasped as another fantastic view appeared. I visited in September and the displays were gorgeous. It is certainly somewhere I will return to throughout the year.

Really enjoyed the day. Excellent gardens, flamingoes a bonus. Wild flower meadow was full of flowers and bees. The cafe had homemade food which was very tasty. And a nursery to buy the flowers you see in the gardens. Well worth a visit.

Blue bell wood really good with great smell. Well worth the journey. Plants over priced, gardens well maintained and great design. Cafe good and well priced . Will recall later in the year to see how gardens have developed .

Gem of a place. Historic house members get free entry to the garden. Parking is across a country road , so be careful when heading to the entrance. The gardens are beautiful presented with many different types of areas , with streams , ponds (with flamingos) and a bluebell wood. There is an excellent plant nursery on site as well as a large outdoor cafe. Food and staff were all excellent..highly recommended

Really lovely: peaceful, relaxing place for a wander. The gardens are beautiful, and lovely to see flamingoes and chickens roaming about. The bluebell woods are stunning. The cafe is also really nice, plenty of vegetarian options and friendly staff.

Lovely house in lovely grounds tucked away in a little village in Northants. Beautiful gardens to wander around and lovely water features like a mini Chatsworth House. Went in early May and the bluebell walk was in full display in the little woods they have. Quite wonderful with an ancient feel to the place. Amazing flamingos and feisty chickens and cockerels gadding about the place causing mischief and comedy moments. The pigs were fun. Tea and cakes were really nice and the seating is really well laid out in a courtyard in the shadow of the manor. Really nice afternoon and good value.

2 car parks, an upper and a lower one. The lower one has toilets, and also a cafe. ( 2 x hot chocolates are £8 total ) The minimum cost is £3.20 to park. The walk around the entire lake is just under 3 miles. There is a path all the way around which is suitable for prams. No wellies needed at any time of the year. Bikes are not permitted to cycle around the lakes. Dogs are allowed and also allowed off lead in every area except the small wooded area that's for wildlife. It gets extremely busy here at the weekends to the point that people queue to get in the car parks down the country roads... Also this then can have an impact on the amount of people walking round which is essentially a small lake. Week days are fine, but its a place to avoid at the weekends unless you can get there really early.

Such an amazing place with something for everyone, I’ve lost count of the times I’ve walked or ran round the reservoir over the last 20 years or so and the park is always evolving and improving with passionate friendly staff members that carry out regular maintenance. The main loop around the reservoir is around 4km, pretty flat and perfect for running but this can be extended to just over 5km by adding to the loop at either end but this also adds steep inclines. It’s perfect for dog walking although you do need to keep your dog on the lead through the nature reserve, sadly most people ignore this information though. The pump house cafe is ideal for refreshments and there are also toilets close by, there are plenty of picnic areas but they have banned BBQ’s for good reasons. There are children’s play areas and discovery areas along with a woodland play area, through the summer months there is sometimes wild swimming events and the reservoir itself is popular for fishing. Established woodland areas, large dead trees retained for habitat and specimen trees around the main parking area including Redwoods, Tulips, Walnuts, Sweet Chestnuts, Monkey puzzles and many more all contribute to an all round fantastic habitat for wildlife which can be observed from multiple hides around the reservoir.

Actually really disappointed this trip. No mention on the website that the kids water feature wasn't working... The main reason for my kids wanting to go. We paid a full day price and stayed 45 minutes 😭 gutted. I love it there but it's not great for kids unless this water thing works. And it's also be good if you could swim there not just on 2 days 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sywell Country Park is so beautiful. Great place to have a peaceful walk. It also has stunning scenery .

All credit to the Park Rangers here. They've not been idle during lockdown. There's now a good path right the way around the reservoir and a lot of trees and shrubs have been cut back to open up the area. The total walk around the reservoir is about 2.74 miles. Great place to spend an hour or so walking your dog and lots of doggie poo bins all the way around. Well done guys!

Walked loads of places during lockdown, whilst the car park was busy, with the lack bikes to avoid on the wide tracks social distancing was easy, very enjoyable walk, we will be back with our Springer Spaniel Charlie. Update 2024. Charlie passed over the Rainbow Bridge 2021. Too bigger hole left in our hearts, could not be without the unconditional love of a dog. Since May 2022 we visit Sywell at least twice a week to walk our Working Cocker Spaniel Lottie. The well made tracks make for easy walking and if you do the longest route it is a good 3 miles. Lovely reservoir with a cafe, soft play, and multiple outdoor play areas for kids. Good picnic spots and lots of information about the history of the site, plus a quaint butterfly garden (which is where the photos are from)! Parking is a little expensive if you are just coming for a walk but definitely worth it if you're on a family day out.

It's a great park to spend some time with the family. My LO enjoyed the water play and the sand on the playground.I wish the walk around the lake was showed on the map too with approximately times probably as that was a bit of surprise for us and our 2 years old

This is an excellent facility for those who like to walk, with light refreshments, toilet facilities and parking on site. There are several acute speed bumps at the entrance, with parking close by and one or two disabled parking bays near facilities. A lot of the parking area is beneath trees, so car stays cool in hot weather. Parking rates are fair. The walk around the perimeter of the reservoir is a little over 4 kilometres, so make sure that you are able to walk up to 5k. Pathways are wide and good, mostly level, would be suitable for wheelchairs, though there are clapping gates at several points (not sure if it’s possible to open the 5 bar gates for wheelchair access). It’s possible to walk along the dam at the south end. The scenery along the route is good and at our time of visit, we saw lots of damsel flies, swans and other bird life and wild flowers. There is a cafe serving light meals and drinks. Separate section for real dairy ice cream (made at a local farm) which is excellent quality (though some may find quite sweet) with those thick, layered cones. Price is fairly high. There are plenty of picnic tables around the area and a children’s play area. We found our visit to be most enjoyable.

I met up with some friends on a'' walk with our dogs' meet-up. I've never been here before, although it has been on my list. What a beautiful park. We met outside the cafe and some people had a snack and a drink before. The prices in the cafe were quite expensive but the feedback was that the food was good. Going up the hill, we passed a beautiful water feature. The sound and movement of this mini waterfall was captivating. We did a circular tour. The ground was very easy to walk on, and although we didn't go too near the water as it was very muddy, you had great views over the lakes. The walk was very easy over gravelled paths. I saw families with pushchairs, which shows how easy it was . There was an abundance of beautiful snowdrops, and you could see signs of Mother Nature bringing new life everywhere. I will definitely return here as iI enjoyed the walk and will be interested to see the park in the warmer weather. Maybe take a flask and a snack and stop for a while to take in the beautiful scenery.

A beautiful park with a large 3 mile circular walk which we often did with our late beautiful dog Monty. It's a special place for us..... Good cafe too..... Just wish people would pay the small charge rather than park out on the lane. Plenty to do here too.

Sywell Country Park is a fantastic destination for a day out with the family. There's plenty of space for children to run around and enjoy the playground, and the coffee from the cafe is genuinely excellent. Moreover, it's an ideal place to take your dog for a lovely walk. In general, a lovely spot to get some fresh air and enjoy nature!

We spent several hours walking around the nature reserve. A gorgeous venue with well maintained / clearly defined tracks. A wide variety of wildlife both on, and off, the water. Although members of BCN Wildlife Trust, a permit is still required to access the reserve. However, there were only fishing permits available in the self-service hut, no nature reserve permits...

Great reserve to walk round. You do need a permit though, available from BCN Wildlife Trust.

Would give this place more stars except you are not allowed to take a look walk around the place with out a ticket that I would have thought you would buy if you are fishing but not to just have a look at the place I walked to the cafe looking place to gather information found a board with information and instructions took a few pics from this point and then got back in my car to look for other places that don't charge you just to take a look walk around shame seems like a nice place to spend a afternoon with your camera

Had a fly fishing lesson here. Was lovely and learning how to cast on the land first for practice is very important for your safety.

Nice place for a day out with your family.. Car park, cafè, kids area, and much more.. Nice walks and time spent on site usually 2-4 hours unless you go for bbq or picnic.

It's an Anglian water reservoir, that is also a trout fishery, you don't have to be able to flyfish as spinning is permitted for a few months each year check the details of this with the fishing lodge when booking, prior booking is required, two 8 trout tickets and a days boat hire came to just over £100, trout are catch and keep, pike and perch are catch and release regardless of if they are the target species or not, fly fishing and spinning/lure fishing specifically for pike and perch is also permitted during some months again check with the fishing lodge when booking, The lodge has a good tackle shop, lifejackets are mandatory and supplied with the boats, boats are equipped with drogues and landing nets as a bio security measure against invasive fresh water shrimp, use of your own is permitted but only if decontamination/disinfection measures are taken before and after use, again check with the lodge when booking. The reservoir itself is split by a road on a causeway and if you think that is the dam, looks rather small, however once you've passed under the causeway it takes ½-¾ of an hour to motor to the dam a point worth remembering as you need to be back at the dock approximately ½ an hour before sunset

Really nice place to visit, we walk our dog here. Decent cafe, good playground for kids. Car park can be expensive, we buy a yearly ticket which is much cheaper.

Lovely level walk. About 8 miles if you go all the way ... I didn't. Popular for walkers and cyclists. Thriving fishing club. There is a separate, secluded, wildlife area where dogs are not allowed. Usual Anglia Water car park charges.

2 hours or so walking with the dog around part of the lake - perfect! If you appreciate rural Northamptonshire and peaceful surroundings this is one of the places to come to although I'm not sure it would be so peaceful at holiday time.

Lovely little shopping village with plenty of shops to look at. Been a few times and recently with my mum and we spent all afternoon here. Some really lovely quality products along with a gorgeous antique shop! The cafe was a little pricier than expected but food was lovely high quality with large portions! Lemon meringue pie was a personal favourite.

What a fabulous place. We called in to the tearoom for coffee but stayed for lunch as the ambience and feeling of the tearoom on arrival was exemplary. The whole place oozed character and charm. The staff as a whole were superb, the young lady that dealt with our order was absolutely superb. Meals were well presented, really good quality, tasty and great value for money. A wonderful example of how a busy tearoom should be operated with staff selection first class. Well done to everyone.....we will definitely return when we are in this area.

Love this place and am a frequent visitor. Quirky shops and a fantastic art gallery, but the jewel in the crown is 1867, the awesome eatery in the courtyard. Their food and drinks are awesome. Their coffee is easily the best in the area. This is a great place to while away a few hours and to buy some quirky bits.

What a fun place to pass the time! Excellent selection in the deli shop, lots of fabulous and unique gifts everywhere. Quirky glasses, upcycled and recycled items so eco friendly. And a couple of clothes shops thrown in - definitely worth a visit.

Just visited today. Lovely little place. Variety of little shops. Seen reviews saying it is expensive, however you get what you pay for. If you want quality you have to pay and it lasts. Not all expensive and a great place for purchasing gifts for others. Had lunch as well and it was very good value. Yes we spent money and enjoyed it. All staff in all shops and dining area were friendly and not trying to 'sell'. Very relaxing and would recommend going there.

Some very unique shops some hand made items that were stunning. Went for something to eat. It is best to book it has become very popular. If you don't book they will take your number and ring there are plenty of boutique shops to look at and admire.

Interesting place to visit. A decent range of products which help to stimulate the mind and give you ideas. Unfortunately, the ladies clothing shops proved too much of a lure for my Wife. The bank balance will, in time recover.

Visit here once or twice a year. Like the independent shops. Cookware shop is good but expensive - no bargains to be had! Would be good to have a craft/fabric/yarn shop. Usually no problems when dining in cafe - but service was poor this time, had to chase up our order and when it arrived it was wrong, and stale, no apology offered. There seemed to be an older woman interfering with staff doing their job - was this the problem?? Dog friendly outside and inside.

Beautiful little outlet located just off the A5, plenty of free car parking and all smooth tarmac surfaces so really easy to get around. The range of shops here is amazing, everything is catered for and if it’s handbags to watches they have you covered, kitchen utensils you will lose half the day in this shop as it’s amazing! We will be back as it’s a great place to shop and find those items that you don’t see on the high street.

A niche place to shop for quality gifts as well as house & garden. Has a lovely restaurant - 1867. Rural setting on A5 near Daventry. 10 - 5pm, 7 Monday to Sunday.

Stopped off to break a journey south and had lunch here. What a great place. It's an absolute gem with many lovely shops to explore. We won't be stopping at the service station again next time if this place is open.

Shopping in a nice ambiente. Worth for spending time, enjoy the little shops and have a tea or lunch in the Café! Easy to reach from the canal towpath and a lot of parking places for cars.

A treasure trove of little outlets of many sorts including ye old sweet shop.. Clean and welcoming with a large car park places to relax. Worth a look and quite busy on day of our visit.

There's one shop I won't be shopping with again, she made us feel awful! We have so enjoyed our visits every month talking to all our other favourite ladies....this has really shocked me. At the end of the day "money is money" and you judged us by saying you've "been had before"...not by us you haven't! Why didn't you get someone to check the notes like I did when I was in retail.... I also wouldn't have left them waiting to be served for 10 minutes....if we were like that we could have walked out with our £50.95's worth of goods....along with several other customers waiting to be served. Thank you to all the others who served us today, I spent a small fortune, again, a great selection of shops. As for 'Something Special' it's not the 'policy' that was insulting, it was the way you said it.

Rather up market and largely over priced shopping outlet. However there are some good quality shops with quality products and you must be prepared to pay for that. On the surface the tea room looked the same. But although not cheap it provides a good quality menu and I felt it was good value. Excellent staff and they really do keep things clean. I was impressed.

Such a lovely farm with equally lovely and friendly staff, there's so much to see and do here, there's an indoor soft play area, so many animals to pet, the little goats were so cute. All the animals look well cared for, healthy & happy. There's a massive play area outside with picnic benches, a go kart track, tractors etc to sit on, This is a perfect place to take the kids for a few hours to burn off some energy! Oh and great fresh coffee too, there's also food available but we didn't eat here so I can't comment on that. All in all a great place to go.

The farm and the activities & facilities outside are fantastic for the family! Would recommend taking a picnic for outdoors if nice weather as there's some lovely spots to sit! The indoor play area and cafe is a little tired but the kids loved it and didn't notice any difference! The staff were also very friendly!

Great place to visit! It's big enough to keep you entertained for a good few hours but small enough that little legs can handle a walk without getting too tired. Soft play was good fun although didn't use much as such a lovely day out and about. Spaces to eat inside, outside under cover and outside in the open. Lots of animals to see and interact with and wonderful outdoor play area with so much for the children to enjoy! We took a picnic with us - lots of bins for rubbish too- but there is a cafe there too for drinks and snacks. One set of toilets in main building (with 2 baby change units) but plenty of hand wash stations around the site too after touching animals. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Really lovely farm with a great selection of animals, was large in spaces and didn’t feel crowded at all. Animals look happy and kept in nice conditions, baby goats and sheep were a lovely sight to see. Only things to improve on were soft play felt a bit grubby but I didn’t have high expectations in cleanliness for a working farm. Other reason I have knocked a star is because the woman at the front desk said our little girl was ‘big for her age’ when we said she was still under 2. There was no need for this comment and nearly all of the hand sanitising stations we attempted to get sanitizers from were empty! Other than that still a lovely day out and children’s outdoor play area was lovely, especially in the sunshine.

Enough activities for the kids including the animals, soft play and park. Little cafe inside and toilets. No need to book online. It wasn't crowded even though summer holidays but did arrive at the opening time. Would definitely come here again.

Lovely few hours with the kids, hands on goats, sheep, Shetland pony's and more. Large amount of play on and climbing equipment. Many more animals to see. Small but lots of fun for the kids. Could bring a picnic and enjoy in the play area or outside in the climbing frame area and extend the day even longer. Would go back again. Wheelchair friendly. Although some bumpy ground around the animals and fields so not a smooth ride!

A lovely place. It is well kept, the pet barn in particular is immaculate - the animals look really well cared for. The soft play is great (and clean, what a refreshing change!). The cafe is reasonably priced and staff were lovely. The park is fantastic, my 5 year old could have spent all day there alone. We were lucky enough to witness a lamb being born today. Almost didn't want to leave a 5 star review because, especially at this price, I want to keep the secret to myself! Even on a slightly fresh, very muddy day, it was great - we will definitely visit again.

Loved it. Staff were able to give us lots of information to make our visit really interesting and exciting as we used that information to watch a sheep give birth to twin lambs. My 12 year old loved the goats and kids. Hot chocolate was lovely. My 10 year old burned off some energy on the go karts and some extra energy in the indoor play area. Something for everyone here. We meant to only stay an hour but ended up leaving reluctantly after 3 hours.

Took my 15 month old here today. A lovely day out and considerably less than some farms. This is a working farm so there is plenty going on. We even had the privilege of watching a lamb being born. The outdoor area is lovely and there is plenty for children to do. I'm sure this is packed in the warmer months. The only downside for me was the soft play (for under 4, we didn't use older area), it was a bit sparse and needed a clean. They had a machine for blowing balls in the air but no balls. The bricks in the "ball pit" had also seen better days. My son could only play on the lower level because the steps were too high for the second level and so I couldn't help him access the spiral slide. He was quite sad he couldn't copy the other children or use the slide. It would be great if the lower level could be improved for the little ones to really enjoy. Cafe is basic. Handy food if you didn't prepare but worth bringing a picnic as its only basic sandwiches. All in all, a lovely day for £8 but just needs a tiny bit of tlc.

Free entrance I was amazed by this shoe museum here in Northampton, where I saw a very varied range of shoes, from ancient times to the present, even projected videos about this craft. My children were very delighted by a display in which they could make a shoe design alone. Worth a visit

Really much improved with clean, open viewing areas, good toilet facilities and an indoor/outdoor cafe area. Northampton story over two large rooms, a double gallery of animal photos and a gallery of art work. It is clearly educational as teaching studios available. I loved the Vikings exhibition with reference to Northampton. It's free but please donate in the glass box or buying from the shop.

Perfect for a rainy day and even better it’s free! Took with us our 11 year old and 15 year old girls. It’s nice to go to a museum that’s a little different with the shoes exhibitions. We were in there roughly 1.5 hours or so, but you could spend a lot longer if you actually read more of the commentary! Nice to have to the cloakroom and as expected free toilets on site too. We parked at St John’s multi-storey car park which is 3-5 min walk away. The shops are also just a short walk further into town so we did them on the same day.

Fantastic museum! We spent about 2-2.5 hours here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The history of Northampton exhibit was so interesting and it was excellent to see how the area has evolved. The art gallery had some wonderful displays and it was laid out so well. The shoe collection was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the evolution of footwear and styles etc. We visited while the Star wars "May the Toys be with you" exhibition was on and had a lot of fun looking at all the toys and film posters.

The museum and art gallery were awesome, but the art gallery was under maintenance when I was there. The museum is ticket-free, so all of them can go there and spend some time in the museum. In the museum, they are showing different styles of shoes from 5620 to 2024. Northamptonshire remains the shoe-making capital of the world. They have so many amazing international footwear manufacturers—there's nowhere else that can claim they produced the boots for Darth Vader and shoes for James Bond and Prince Charles.

We all family visited Candlelight: A Tribute To Queen. Amazing 60 minutes with 41 Degrees Quartet! To be honest, I haven't expected that many people to come! More than 200 people! Must try! We purchased 3 tickets, 26£ each.

Went during the Punk exhibit and as a goth I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the memorabilia and learning more about the punk movement, though I wish there was more. The shoe museum was interesting, and I was sad that I couldn’t see more of the museum as a whole.

A wonderful local museum with some impressive, well-put-together exhibitions. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better collection of shoes than in their permanent Shoe gallery, a fine tribute to Northampton's past. You can also find out more about the local area in the History of Northampton galleries. In addition, I highly recommend checking out the temporary exhibitions - I have been thoroughly impressed by the two I have been to! They were both informative, interesting, and engaging, looking at their subject in a wider sense as well as its effect on the town itself. Plus, with a range of text, sound, interactive displays, and plenty of artefacts to see and discover, there's something to suit everyone. Once you're done, make sure to check out the gift shop, or stop for a bite to eat at the lovely café. All in all, this museum is well worth a visit!

I bought a taster session for my children and thoroughly enjoyed it! Their instructor Esther was fantastic, so friendly and helpful, the girls felt instantly at ease with her. They can't wait to come back again to try out some different climbing routes!

Had an amazing time! I booked a taster session for climbing for 5 adults and we all had a brilliant climb with Harrison. He was fantastic and really knowledgeable and helpful. We plan to come back next month. We got to try different walls of different difficulity as well as bouldering. Thank you for a great time!

Great walls with a variety of difficulties and some great speed climbing walls as well as some top rope and lead climbing routes they also have a few auto belays. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great days rock climbing.

Went to Pinnacle to do the auto belay and bouldering induction today with a mate as we haven't been in about 10 years. Oscar was our instructor who was super friendly whilst explaining everything with great detail also providing tips to help us better our climbing experience. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone! Thanks again to the team at pinnacle we had a great experience!

I first went rock climbing at Pinnacle Climbing Centre with my mum, sister & son, we had so much fun! The staff are really friendly & helpful. I've been bringing my son to the homeschooling sessions & he's really enjoying himself, I can see his confidence grow after each session. I recommend Pinnacle Climbing Centre, we all had an overall positive experience.

Just had a taster session ahead of my sons 8th birthday party in a couple of weeks. Fabulous climbing experience to suit all ages and abilities! Our instructor Sophie was brilliant 🤩 we’d never done a climb before and she put us at ease and talked us through everything. Would highly recommend giving it a go 👍🏻

My son and I had a taster session and it was great. All members of staff were friendly. The instructor Paul was friendly, made us feel comfortable and put us at ease. Paul also gave us some good information about the courses are available and what he has achieved from starting Rock Climbing which I found very interesting. It was a really good experience. As a novice climber this seemed daunting. But we had an instructor session and they were really friendly. This does seem more suited for the experienced climber. But there are lots of walls and different routes on each wall to choose from.

Wonderful experience with the climbs having a wide range of difficulties. Great for beginners and veterans. Jack from reception was a wonderful help.

We had Sophie do an intro session and we really enjoyed ourselves. It’s challenging and fun and Sophie was really passionate and made me feel confident with her encouragement!

Took my 2 children who are 6 and 9 years old. Tried out the taster session and their instructor was Paul. Paul was fantastic and very patient. Overall children had a great time.

Good pricing for what you are getting. I chose a 1hr taster session for 2 of my friends and I, and it was £65. Really fun. The instructor I had, Dave, was a great fellow. Very professional. Taught us well. We had fun with him.

We had my daughters 7th party at Pinnacle. Mike and his team were brilliant with organisation, quality of climbing training and all round experience. It was a great party and something different. Thoroughly recommend them and the climbing facilities are seriously impressive…

Amazing children's party! I was so nervous to hand the control over but they were absolutely fantastic.. I really could just sit back & enjoy the party. I do however feel terrible that I never thanked the 2 gentleman that handled the party so please can you forward my thanks (Amira 26th Nov) the ladies at the desk were also incredibly kind & welcoming. What a fantastic workforce!

First time visit on BH Monday and had a great experience with friendly and accommodating staff. Clearly run by climbers, and the whole place had a good feel about it that will draw me for another visit. Worth a journey for the BigWalls if you've a free day. Tea/Coffee/Cake and Pizza available- all reasonably priced.

Really pleased with how well we were looked after at Pinnacle. My sons were given a 1 hour taster session for Christmas, and absolutely loved it. The instructor, Paul, was SO good with them, dealing equally well with my over-confident and very able 8-year-old and rather more cautious 6-year-old. He took them on a variety of different walls and features, and managed to challenge them without ever denting their confidence. They are desperate to go back!

I cannot express enough gratitude to The Pinnacle for coming to the rescue and hosting my son's birthday party on such short notice, less than 2 hours! We had been let down by another venue, and the staff at The Pinnacle were absolute lifesavers. From the moment we arrived, their warmth and willingness to accommodate us were evident. The staff made sure the kids had an incredible time on the climbing walls and bouldering. The joy, laughter, and giggles of the children throughout the experience were priceless. The team checked in with me several times, to ensure everything ran smoothly, and it truly did. The party room was a perfect space for the kids to unwind after their climbing adventures, and the pizza was a hit – they said it was delicious! My son declared that this was the best birthday ever and even better than our initial plan. He loved it so much that we're already planning to return and potentially joining their weekly club, something I wasn't aware they offered. I can't thank the team at The Pinnacle enough for going above and beyond to make this day so special. Even the party host came in on their day off to assist us. The thoughtful touch of writing a card for my son made him feel incredibly special. Thank you again for making this birthday memorable and extraordinary!

Our lovely instructor, Esther, today was absolutely brilliant. She was very encouraging & enthusiastic for both 11 year old Phoebe & 16 year old Reuben. She gave them both great opportunities in trying out lots of different challenges which they both rose to and enjoyed tremendously. Thank you Esther!

Went for first time with my five year old twin daughters and 11 yr old daughter. Paul, the instructor we had on the taster session, was excellent and managed the different ages/abilities brilliantly. My girls all wanted to know when they could go again. Great experience, highly recommend .

We had a birthday party for our 8yr old today - brilliant experience for all the kids. Esther the host was brilliant, engaging, friendly and enthusiastic!! Really good place, loads of climbing walls and routes and we'd thoroughly recommend the Pinnacle Centre for a party 😁

Lovely Sunday lunch at Clary's Restaurant, which is within the casino. The service was spot on - a great mix of friendly, attentive but also unintrusive. They catered to our dietary request without any fuss, and the food was delicious! The restaurant itself had a lovely ambience and was faultlessly clean. I must also say that the apple pie was the nicest I've ever had the pleasure of sampling in my life! 🤤 Well done all! 😁

It was okay, had better night's there. Food was good but DJ really bad so brought the mood down. Also inconsistencies in Steak size, which had some of the Group annoyed

Very nice welcome at guest services. Played fruit machine with my free £5 from joining. Got 2 free drinks for my birthday as well. Soda machine didn't work so was kindly given bottle of coke for vodka drinks. Played roulette with very helpful croupier. Asked if another table could open as waiting to play black jack. Told no and when it did min bet would be 10 pound instead of 5 on open table. Waited 30 minutes to play black jack. The three of us left :(

It's very clean and professional. I attended an event upstairs with Martin O'Neill. It's a great event space and the staff were very friendly. The toilets were clean, and the event itself was amazing.

Good night. Covid safe. The only problem was that security asked if we had face masks. One of the people in our group did not because the strap had broken on their old mask. So basically security refused entry. Why did the casino not supply masks on the door like other places that require masks do. Security guy was rude and didn't really care but I'm not surprised. #meathead. For all the casino knew we where big spenders that evening. Oh well we went home instead. So maybe next time people come to aspers in the future, supply a free mask just incase they don't have one to hand. I won't be returning again. Cherio.

Was my surprise 60th birthday and this venue was amazing, I have never been to a casino before, fantastic experience staff were kind and amazing, we had dinner upstairs in the restaurant, equally staff were kind and amazing food was exceptional, we all enjoyed the evening very much , would highly recommend it , would definitely come again 😀

Went to watch Jersey Boys was amazing. Great food cheap beer as well and won few quid afterwards.

Sunday roast dinner was lovely and at only £8, starter & dessert at £4 each. Sunday's limited to roasts only and you don't have to be a member of the Aspers Casino.

It was a George Micheal tribute night. The food was fantastic, as was the service, the staff and entertainment. Will definitely be back for another tribute night

I've wanted to try the restaurant here for a while now and finally got the chance to go. I wasn't disappointed. The food (especially the chicken liver parfait), service and staff were excellent (worthy of 6 stars!). Looking forward to going again, especially when there's some good entertainment on. I just wish I had the bottle to try my hand at some of the games. It looked like fun! All in all, a really lovely time. Thank you!

Would never a thought of going to this restaurant as it is part of a casino but received a discount on my diner's card. The food was delicious the prices were great and the staff were really friendly

In terms of how it is run, it's better then mk casino as it's more relaxed at northampton but less security and less requirements to get in. If you're not a member most of the time they don't even scan your id like at mk. And to get a free drink you just walk up to the bar which is great. In mk you have to wait for a staff member to ask you and then wait for it to be brought to you which can take up to an hour some times if they haven't forgot. But in mk if you walk up to the bar they will charge u for the drink even tho you're playing machines and is free if a member of staff gets it for you.

Terrible music for the Christmas party!! Sack the dj! That is not party music!! Absolutely disappointed. Our whole xmas party absolutely ruined !!! Food was good though but never ever will step in this place again. Prodigy is not xmas party kind of music. Waste of our money!!!!

Brilliant night. Had a show and meal. We didn't know what to expect with the meal as it was a set menu but we're totally surprised. There was plenty of it and it was piping hot. The show was brilliant. My brother also had a go on the blackjack table. We will definitely be returning. Wasn't as dear as we expected also.

Went to see take that tribute Take that has 3 in the band not 4 none of them looked or sounded like the band .very very loud. we booked a table of 4 and was put on a table of 8. You need to ask people if that is OK.... The starter was OK The mains the veg was mush well over cooked the chicken was tastless . The dessert no one on our table ate it Tried to get some cocktails but had to go down stairs to get them. Massive queue so left it ....Last of all surely you should let the customer know the menu and maybe offer 2 options for each course.The staff didn't want to be there all seemed miserable We won't return I am afraid , was really disappointed when I had heard really good things. We spent 40 a head on drinks and left early , we would of spent a lot more ....

On the Brampton trail, Market Harborough to Northampton. Lovely cafe, and giftshop where you can buy tickets to ride the old diesel train. The station master a friendly guy will tell you all about the railway. A good stop off at the end of the trail ride.

I visited for the first time and my son enjoyed himself a lot. Loads of friendly staff from the moment you set foot on the platform, great priced gift shop and very nice cafe food. Sadly there was no steam train on our visit but equally we enjoyed ourselves on a diesel train which was just as good. We would definitely be returning for a steam engine trip but I would also recommend travelling on the diesel train too they are just as fun!

What a treasure of a place fantastic staff...had a lovely day went on the stream train excellent little gift shop and Buffet car...will be back

The Northampton and Lamport railway was formed long after the Northampton to Market Harborough Line was closed. A charitable trust was set up and the workforce are dedicated volunteers who make the short journey extremely enjoyable. Unfortunately the engine is not steam powered and the line is not very long but it gives visitors a lovely taste in the history of the railways. There is a little cafe, gift shop, toilets and ample parking.

Went for a little walk along the track with my littlest boy. Loads to look at and puddles a to splash in. Had a great time and so did George

A very promising work in progress that needs support for the welcoming team of volunteers. The train service on the day offered good value for money within the limitations of a mile and a half route.

Just dropped in whilst driving not expecting anything to be open but it was. The nice man in the signal box let me grandson have a go and showed how it all worked. A steam train arrived whilst we were there, nice bonus. Has a nice cafe and small shop.

Really nice little station with really friendly & helpful staff, one our visit we had the opportunity to ride a couple of the trains. They serve food and drink, for those peckish while they are looking around.

Came by and visited during the Summer Gala event at the railway and I had an enjoyable time, riding on steam engine rides with both coach and brake van, craft beer on sale and even a traction engine out and about on the day I came. I can see a promising future for this heritage railway and hope it continues the amazing work with its preservation and extension projects they have ongoing for the years to come.

Small preserved railway just outside Northampton. The line runs along side part of the Brampton Valley Way walk and cycle path, which is where the railway used to run before it was closed and brought back through the use of volunteers. Easily reached by road and by foot from the pathway from Northampton (or Market Harborough if you're energetic), plenty of parking on site with an overflow car park too. A static mark 3 buffet car is on site for refreshments and a small souvenir shop. Prices are very steep, £7.50 on the day for just one trip of a mile with no re-rides permitted (50p discount if you buy online). I am certainly all for supporting a preserved railway as they are a charitable trust, however looking at the pricing structure should be one of their focus points. Even raise the base price by 50p for unlimited rides, as those who stay for another journey are more likely to use the buffet, gaining further revenue. Staff were all very friendly and toilets available at the one station. A further extension to the line is planned in the near future. A class 31 diesel provided the traction with mark 2 carriages on the day I visited. Services run hourly and travel half a mile one way, half a mile the other, then half a mile back the same way you came from to give a 30 minute train ride.

Lovely ride on a lovely bit of line! Nice and friendly staff, good food, hot pasties, bacon roll tyre of thing..Lovely little shop and we loved seeing the Easter bunny. The children even got a free chocolate egg! Also, a lovely walk alongside the railway too..We shall return in the near future!

An interesting afternoon walk around the railway. A very smart gentleman was available for any questions visitors may have. There's a gift shop and and a railway cafe that was busy. Dogs are welcome, and there is a walking route on the other side of the tracks. We were lucky to see the steam engine go through the station while we were there.

Very nice place to have a nice afternoon,you can take train rides at a decent price, the train line is longer than before, you can serve several kinds of food, there is also a store of souvenirs. all with the help of volunteers.

Had the most amazing night with the wife. It can be quite challenging to find somewhere that does vegan food and the chef was more than commandeering. The nachos were to die for and the selection of ales was more than impressive. Would recommend to anyone passing by,

A fascinating place to drink. A large room with lots of space and interestingly decorated with hops and brewery items. Great selection of beers obviously and very good value. The barman wasn't particularly welcoming to us, maybe he was just having a bad day as other reviews comment on the friendly and knowledgeable service.

What a fantastic afternoon! After a warm welcome in the bar we followed Al into the brewery where we enjoyed his fascinating tales about the history of Phipps, the family and the brewery. A sample or two of the Albion Brewery's finest products was enough stimulus to the beer buds to encourage me to sample a couple more with the best ploughman's lunch I've had for many years. We then went back to tour the tunnels, take a look at the well and then to the gin room! Thank goodness for the Neville Brothers and for Bill Urquhart - three of Northampton's finest.

A good pub experience. Nice atmosphere and decor. It was good to be able to see the brewery from the bar. There was a good selection of the on site brewed ales and gins so will need to go back try more.

I had a tour in the brewery and Ian explained very passionate the history of bier in UK. Really interesting

This place is amazing, a rare find, great ale and gin. Lovely food and really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had a great time Sat 6th May.

What a wonderful company, remember them from years ago, very traditional delivery service, a lovely friendly gentleman. I ordered their Vodka for a birthday gift. I will certainly be purchasing again.
