Another amazing park in Chișinău. So many trees and fountains. Plenty of cafes. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy a day out. I loved this park and highly recommend visiting.

This park is situated at the centre of Chisinau. There is a sculpture of a hero of the soil, Stephan the Great at one corner of the park. In the middle of the park there is a large fountain. There are geometric walkways inside the park. Sculptures of many famous local heroes, poets and writers are scattered around in the park. Many ceremonial programs are held at the altar of the monument of Stephan the Great.

A nice place to take a rest and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Nice place for walk or break in the centre of Chisinau. The park is beautigul with lots of trees/arboricultures, some with sculpturs and fountain and flower beds. There are small restaurants and stalls with snacks and ice cream. In hot centre of Chisinau it was a great place for rest.

Established in 1818, covering seventeen acres of land and affectionately known as "Park of the Lovers", this is a valuable cultural asset to the city and popular leisure retreat for its citizens. It's many treelined paths with ample benches orient towards an elegant main central fountain. The "Avenue of the Classics" added in 1958, honours notable social figures of Moldovan and Romanian literature. A statuesque "Stephen the Great" who historically was assisted in a return from exile by "Vlad the Impaler" to be annointed a prince stands nobly, cross held aloft in his own dignified special space near the main entrance.

The Central Park is a lovely place to visit, in the centre there is a water fountain (sadly switched off during our visit, for repairs I believe). There is a nice little café a few seconds from the fountain, with a little fairy type village attached to one of the trees. Along with a larger restaurant / café off to the side near the outer fencing (South East side). There is also a pathway with several head busts with a variety of famous people. Just outside the park itself (top Eastern corner) is the statue of Stephen the Great himself. Along the Western side is a selection of restaurants and shops. In summary, it is a great place to visit for tourist and local alike.

Mandatory visit in Chisinau! Cafes, a mall, hotels and nice walking place

It's a park near the city center that isn't overly exciting. The attractions around it are more exciting and interesting. But it's a good place to relax if you have time and there is sometimes live music which adds to the overall atmosphere. Plenty of seats are available and a good place to stroll around if you have nothing else to do.

Great park with a lot of walking spaces, cafes, and benches. It's great to walk around and relax right in the downtown. It's usually quite a bit of music as well. The only bad thing is that the asphalt is a bit destroyed and you should always look where you step in order not to fall.

Wine tunnels are so impressive. Our tour guide rushed through her tour as the English tour was full and shared our space with Romanian tour as well. The meal was average and so was the wine- we tasted 7 wines and only liked a few. I recommend going because the history is important and the tunnels are amazing.

Overall it’s good. They take you on the wine cellar tour, which is nice. It’s quite cold inside, so do take something warm with you. But they have some blankets. The tour is on the electric bus. The actual space of cellar is 55 kilometres. Each “street” is called by wine variety name. The tour is insightful, but unfortunately to me it’s more about cellar, and not so much about wine. There is no show of wineries and not a lot about how they actually produce wine. The food pairing is good, traditional Moldavian food is tasty. The wine tasting is a bit rushed and pretentious. The tour guide is telling you how you supposed to hold the glass only by the glass stem, but at the same time they pour wine in the same glass as previously used glass. COMMON!

This is purely a restaurant review. The food is simple and good. It is pricey for what it is though. For example, mămăligă cu tocană de porc is 200 lei, but the quality is something you can get served in a canteen. The service is lightning fast and you eat under the tunes played by lăutari, the local musicians. You can tip them 50-200 lei, but it’s fully optional. I would get again the creamy cheese crepes. The plums boiled in wine were great too.

Took the €23 tour and our guide was good.. Enjoyed the winery the aperitif and three wines tested were lovely. My guide disappeared at end so could not tip her... I would recommend to advise visiting groups when you finish so you can collect any tips. 😊👍🏼

A very interesting experience, we traveled with a small car, 80m deep under the ground. We also visited the winery and they explained the perfect environment for the wine to age properly. It was a huge domain, but we visited only a few km and after that, we also vizited the gift shop. They have a little terrace outside, but the wine is not fantastic.

We chose the Bacchus tour and had a fabulous time here! We really liked each of the 8 wines we tried, some of them we just loved! Our tour guide was perfect, spoke our language (English) very well, very patient and answered all our questions skillfully, a great representative for the winery. The tour was comprehensive and yep there’s a crazy amount of wine stored here, violating all consulting firm recommendations on size of inventory, but works here as it’s the draw to come here. The tasting at the end of the tour was excellent, and decent quality and quantity of food. The size of the pours was greater than our USA and other tasting experiences, so with basically the advertised 7 glasses and some extras that evolved, we were in no shape to drive back to our hotel, which we naturally planned for and it all went well. The staff took nice care of us. Suggest no one should drive here unless they don’t drink, as you will want to drink this wine. Only oddities / challenges are: 1. if you pay online in advance for tickets like we did, you don’t get any acknowledgement in your email or phone until more than a week after you visit — super archaic and unheard of — hopefully a computer glitch? So you ride out here worrying/hoping they will accept that you bought tickets — they did. 2. It’s tough figuring out how to get a ride out here from nearby Chisinau which for a huge attraction like this is dumbfounding. Hailing apps like Letz here do not work with USA phone numbers. Our hotel got us a taxi which worked, then you have to listen to the driver say “Cricova (winery) better” like 50 times 😂 while you say with a smile “No we go Milestii” like 75 times and then monitor the guy to make sure he’s going that way. Hilarious in itself, like a comedy movie. Why not have a pick-up service(or point folks to one)? Do NOT pay for one of the third party tours that take you out here as they cost more than double for the same thing, looks like you pay at least $100+ just for the hand holding and ride. Buy the tickets direct online. Yes I know Cricova and Milestii are both government owned, but still, why not facilitate tourism when you have an awesome attraction?! Anyways we loved our visit and the crazy hi-jinks and persistence needed to make that <10 mile journey out here are well worth it!

Amazing place to visit, the tours are simply wonderful, the wine tasting is exceptional and the dining experience is overall great! The only downsize is that the they are not so well organized and that they don't provide all the information necessary online or via phone.

This is my favorite place to drink wine! They have white, rose and red (all are dry). It comes from the tap. One cup is 15 lei. The staff is very kind. You can sit in the shade, very comfortable. I really love this place!

I was suprised, they moved us by electric vehicles, but was clever in the end (whole complex has more then 200km of tunnels). It was nice tour with even better wine tasting and three-course menu of local dishes.

We came here for a tour of the largest wine cellars in the world. The tour is by electric bus, stopping at several stops and accompanied by a guide walking around among the wine bottles and hearing explanations about how wine is made and the history of the winery. We bought tickets on the spot, we got a personal guide because we didn't speak Romanian like the rest of the group and it was very nice. The tour is pretty short and a bit expensive (the cheapest without one is without tastings and costs 700mdl), but still recommended. At the end of the tour everyone receive a bottle of their wine (which costs about 3 euros in the souvenir shop).

There are regular minibuses connecting the town Milestii Mici and the capital Chişinău. The basic tour was a little bit expensive, but now too much. I had the English tour, and my tour guide was great. The places that you will visit might not be fascinating as you may expect, but you will also not regret for spending time here.

Awesome place , what's outside and inside the cellar. The excursion itself was interesting, look at old bottles and barrels, the girl guide spoke interestingly and answered all the questions posed, but I expected something more from the excursion than just storage facilities.Maybe also how wine is made.

I went to one winery u went to all. Nice trip through the winery. Good wine but disappointing food. Wouldn’t recommend because of the high price. Very nice and fun music players that played for a couple minutes in the meal time.

Very short tour. First stop near the fountain, the guide told us a short history of the winery in two sentences. The second stop was in the collection part, where it was interesting to listen, but there was also very little information. and that's it) at the next stop we just got a gift bottle of sparkling wine, and that was the end of the tour. The tour is not worth the money. The whole tour took almost 40 minutes, although it should have been 50. I do not recommend visiting Milesti Mici winery

The winery is close by the city but can be difficult to reach, easiest is hy taxi 150-200 mld, but getting a taxi back might be challenging, the staff is very happy to help. The winery has plenty of tours in different languages and I didn't had problems signing up last minute via WhatsApp. At the end you'll get a nice bottle yourself. All in all it's not the cheapest thing to do around but definitely on of the more memorable ones. Next time I will take the tour with tasting and food when I have more time

Visited September 2023 The wine cellar is a real eye-catcher and is worth an absolute recommendation. It is very accessible by car and offers a large (free) parking lot. Already the entrance of the property is very inviting. We had a guided tour (without tasting) in English which costs around $15 - $17 and lasts about 1 hour. The tour in English was very pleasant, it was spoken slowly and clearly and all the information given were very interesting. All the questions we asked were answered. What I absolutely appreciated was the fact that the guide was also honest when he didn't know something 100% for sure. I always find honesty welcome in tours. It's better to admit that you don't have an answer for everything instead of claiming some false truth. Since the wine cellar is gigantic, one moves forward with a small electric bus. It must be mentioned that the temperature in the cellar is cool around 10 ° and you should rather be dressed a little warmer to enjoy the tour. At the end of the tour we even received a free bottle to take home. The only flaw was the cashier at the end of the tour. She was absolutely demotivated and not interested - and even snapped loudly when she could no longer look at the Tik Tok clips on her phone because we wanted to buy wine.

Such a beautiful park to visit while in Chisinäu. Entry is 10 lei only. Many locals and visitors do come to enjoy the beauty of this place. Play area for kids, many chairs, plenty of trees and flowers, small lake and many flower arches. Perfect for filming and photos.

I liked this park, I came in the fall so a lot was dead but if you really want to find something pretty you will. And me and my girls definitely did:) great place to take a stroll with friends or family and pictures

Beautiful park... This was my first time there and I was blown away. The centre part is like a garden and then there's a wide open lawn around it with neatly mowed grass and tall trees providing shade perfect for picnic or for lazy afternoon chilling... Saw a porcupine crossing the walkway☺️

Looking for a little peace and quiet away from the city buzz? Look no further! This lush 83-hectare gem in Buiucani district is like a natural air filter for the city. Unlike other city parks, this one is completely fenced with three entrances on Ion Creanga (central one), Vasile Lupu and Eugen Coca streets. Since the 1950s, all sorts of trees and shrubs were planted in this park, culminating in an epic collection of 1,820 rare and decorative plants! Fun fact: 9 out of the 13 extinct woody plants listed in Moldova’s Red Book call this park home. Take the Ginkgo Biloba, for example, which is the only survivor of its class from the Triassic period and can be spotted here. The Dendrarium got official state protection back in 1998. Dendrarium has a beautiful garden near the main entry, a grove, a small lake, and plenty of springs, bridges and meadows.

It was on the Should visit list in the city. It is also one of the three beautiful and biggest parks in the city. It is huge. Unluckily, it was in the winter when I went to Chisinau. So I didn't enjoy it much, as the whole tree lost its leaves and flowers. I think the park might be outstanding during spring and autumn. Btw, you need to take a ticket to visit the park, which costs 10 Levi per adult and 5 Levi for students.

Dendrarium is a gorgeous park near the center of the town, a great place to visit or to spend time reading, or just laying on the grass. It has a beautiful garden near the main entry, and a little grove as you walk to the upper entry. It has a small lake, and a lot of beautiful fountains, and bridges.

Great memorial with lots of history inside! Definitely a MUST. The only problem for me it is the lack of public restroom and that there are wild dogs inside and they are quite protective with their territory.

It's a lovely park and very quiet, perfect for mommies and their kids. It has a big green space for your dogs to run (but be sure to clean after them ) Very easy to get there by public trolley (9 or 13) can take them from the city center or you can walk. Amazing sunsets 😍

Stunning sight in the middle of Chisinau. A must see in this city. It is dedicated to the soldiers of the Soviet Union who died in the battles against the German-Romanian troops of the Second World War. The monument was restored on August 24, 2006.

A stunning monument with an eternal fire thingy - I enjoyed being here even though the premise of the whole thing is greatly depressing.

Din descrierea oficială în limba engleză: "The Cathedral of Christ's Nativity (Romanian: Catedrala Mitropolitană Nașterea Domnului, Russian: Собор Рождества Христова) is the main cathedral of the Moldovan Orthodox Church in Sectorul Centru, Moldova. It was commissioned by the governor of New Russia, Prince Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov, and Metropolitan Gavril Bănulescu-Bodoni in 1830. The cathedral was built in the 1830s to a Neoclassical design by Abram Melnikov (who had designed a similar church in Bolhrad). The cathedral was bombed during World War II, and its bell tower was destroyed by the local Communists in 1962. The new bell tower was constructed in 1997. During the Soviet period, worship was prohibited, and the cathedral was transformed into an exhibition center. Melnikov's design is Neoclassical. The façade is quite simple and clear with six Doric columns for the entrance. Because of the numerous destructions which the cathedral suffered throughout time, the building has received several restorations and shifts in its shape. For instance, the current zinc dome and its cross at the top are both an addition from 1997 built over the previous structure. The inside was completely blank during the Soviet period but nowadays it has painted walls in pure Orthodox style."

I was blessed to enter the church on the Tuesday after Easter; the liturgy was being sung beautifully, accapella, by 4 young people and the priest. Worshippers came in at times with responses. It was quite a bit different from my experience of worship in the Catholic Church in the US. I had always thought the ornateness and icons would be a hindrance; however, during this service, I felt like portal to heaven had opened. I am humbled and am glad God allowed for me to be there at that time. My understanding is enlarged

The inside of cathedral is worth seeing no doubt!

A much smaller arch than that found in Paris. Nevertheless it is an interesting monument to visit while in the city. It's nearby other attractions so you can't miss it. The park in back of it hosts a cathedral while across the street is Government House.

By far my favourite monument in Moldova, it is known by any person living in the capital. A must visit if you're in capital. There's nothing special in it or by outside but it's just so simple and pretty

A great monument and one you can easily get up close to and admire in all its detail. There isn’t any signage to explain the history, which is a shame, but there’s plenty of other sights nearby to make it worth wandering to. They attempt to light it nicely in the evenings but in an understated way which goes well with the rest of the city. It’s one of the key landmarks and a must see for anyone’s first visit to the city or wanting good photo opportunities.

We came, we saw, we didn't conquer it. The Arch is a monument in front of the government building, and it stands out from all the local architecture. It is worth a quick visit if you are the area, have a look online about the history of it!

Another monument celebrating victory over Ottoman Turks

Although Kishinev or Chișinău is small, this it’s signature attraction. It really defines this small city and is a welcome relief from a sea of concrete. Behind it is a beautiful park worthy visiting!

Cool place. Quite an important landmark for the country. However, it is a bit smaller than many people think it is. It also has text written on it in Romanian Cyrillic, which is one of those examples of soviet trash left that Moldova forgot to clean up

Tryumfal arch, monument of memory Turkish- Soviet war, build on 1840. Of course smaller than in Bucharest or Paris, but nice square and park next to. Center of Chișinău, close to market place, once of main road, as I remember, information point also. Nice to see, not to have to.

One of the more obvious monuments in the city and sits at the top of a nice little park. The arch and park are worth a visit.

The Victory Gate is located on Stefan Chel Marie Street, opposite Moldova's Parliament House. The gate is located at the entrance to a well-kept and spectacular garden in the center of which is a very ancient church and cathedral. The gate was built in 1837. Various reliefs related to the history of Moldova are sculpted on the gate. The gate is well photographed in the photos. In the center of the gate flies a flag of Moldova attached with a cable to the floor. Highly recommend a visit to this special site.

It worth to visit once for sure. There are interesting halls especially halls dedicated to Moldova nature and prehistoric period. There's a dino sceleton!

Probably one of the best museums in Chișinău since the number of items on display is quite large.

Very interesting museum. Enjoyed it a lot. If you are in Chisinau, it is definitely worth a visit. It's a shame that their aren't signs in English. My girlfriend had to translate a lot. So if you have a Moldovan of your own, definitely ask them to come with. They might also be able to add interesting stories.

An interesting museum, many exhibits on display, more than 15 halls, many different animals and old books and decorations. The only thing is, there is no ethnographic project on the territory. Entry costs about 20 lei.

With a discount for students, this museum offers a various exhibit, from Moldovian folklore and ethnography to national flora and fauna. Some of the items really are memorable like the fossils or siamese lambs. Definitely it was worth to visit.

Am immersive and really interesting experience! It was so captivating learning about the country's natural history, with the dinosaur fossils being a standout! Also, the visitors are being immersed into the Moldovan folklore by real-life wax figures, display of traditional wear and intruments and pieces of fabric and rugs.

Very interesting place to visit with kids or as a couple. Adult ticket costs 10 lei, student ticket is 2 lei while the ticket for taking pictures is 15 lei. The museum is huge. I’ve never imagined that it’s so big, but it is. The animals are beautifully created and look incredibly real. The museum is big with lots of rooms depicting various historical eras and periods. It’s definitely worth visiting.

A small but beautiful museum. I especially recommend you to see if you are interested with weird animals. We were one adult and one student and we payed about 15 lei. Employees are nice and kind. I personally really liked the filled animals and the 3D Moldova map. I really wonder that what is the meaning of the skull and bones under the crosses?

Great museum, great conservation, great security. It includes a lot of displays of prehistoric animal birds and plants. It has a beautiful sculpture in the middle and on the top floor they have a great display of folkloric apparel.

The most amazing museum. Entry fee 10MDL, a ticket to allow for taking pics is another 15. Stuffed animals on first floor can rub some people the wrong way but they do showcase what a large variety of species inhabit Moldova, which honestly was quite a shock to me. Amazing dinosaur bones (and a full skeleton!) in the basement, ancient bronze jewellery and bits. There are wonderful traditional masks / architectural elements / sculptures shown all throughout the museum. On second floor there’s a showcase of traditional rugs - they are just gorgeous!

Museum has a huge exhibit. Each hall is dedicated to particular period of history of Moldova. There is a lot to see. Much recommend!

Excellent museum. Unique and varied attractions e.g. the rooms themselves are beautiful and worth the price of admission. There’s even an old fashioned diorama room that includes thunder and lighting — so cool! We visited many museums during our 3 week trip to 6 countries and this was my favorite. The staff were very helpful in pointing the optimal route through the museum. The exhibits are extremely well done and it helped us that much of the info was presented in English e.g. helpful explanations were available on take away sheets in each room that you can grab and read as you walk the room. The well presented collection of artifacts including ancient items was amazing in quality and quantity. Stunning stuff. Everyone involved should be so proud of this museum. Don’t miss the fun “wheat blowing in the wind” art as you walk one of the rooms, kids might love that (yes, me too). Don’t be put off if some of the hosts or cashier seem solemn initially, they are all real nice and maybe leery of approaching non-native speakers. Do see the well guarded treasures in the basement which could be overlooked as could the exhibit on darker times in Moldova. Easy to get here once in Chisinau and great value. Highly recommended!

The building is very nice and there are many things on display, which are quite interesting. The museum lacks however any sort of a concept and no audio guide or written guide is available who would tell you the background or the history. You come to a room and see excavated vases with description vase or a room full of clocks with descruption standing clock. This is what I missed the most and did not learn much about their history as a result. The admission fee is 1 eur + 0.75 eur for taking pictures.

Approximately 15 exhibitions are held in this museum every year and it is considered one of the most important events in Moldova. This museum is divided into many scientific departments: ancient history, archeology, medieval history, history of Bessarabia, contemporary history and treasures.

Spent a few hours here reading about the history of the Republic of Moldova/Basarabia. The building is well kept, neat, and clean. Was able to observe the chronological evolution of the region, with some well kept artifacts. Does a good job of explaining the history, as well as the struggles of the natives, without being too overwhelming.

Interesting place, maybe the athmosphere is a bit cold and very poor in exponates. I don't understand some inside walls made it from PVC which is totaly unapropriate for an old building. On the other hand, i dont understand why there is a modern library, Carturesti. They have a lor to work to be interesting for the public.

Funny to see the wolverine with Romulus and Remus (I was born in Rome) in front of the museum. Wonderful building and rooms and explain in a good way how the republic of Moldova was formed and the history of the area.

Must see place for to know better the history of our country. The National Museum of History of Moldova from the very beginning was located in the historical building of the former Chisinau Boys’ Gymnasia No.1, later the Boy’s Lyceum. Today, the monumental building facing has 12 exhibition rooms and a diorama, with a total area of 5,700 sq. m. Highly recommended for kids and family time...

I went to this museum on the last Saturday in March and the tickets were unexpectedly free (though they are cheap ordinarily too). All the exhibitions were really informative and I enjoyed the entire museum, though the temporary exhibition on the fashion of the 20th century was my favourite. Both the security guard outside and the lady on the ticket desk were welcoming and helpful, even with a language barrier. Bonus points for the WiFi in the courtyard, this was super helpful as I didn't have data when in Moldova.

The National Museum is a fantastic place to visit if you are interested in Moldova's history. The prices are 20 lei (approx £1) per person, and if you wish to take photos, then it is an additional 15 lei. Each room is dedicated to different times throughout history, as said by others. The most (and sobering) room was about the history of the gulag, although sadly whilst we were there not many people wanted to go in and read about what had happened. The gift shop is interesting a varied, there are the usual bits and bobs, but also things like funko pops and manga of all things. Would recommend, and don't miss out on the wolf statue out the front and the interestingly shaped helicopter around the side.

Very nice museum. Big and various collections. The entrance fee is just 10 moldovan lei (50 euro cents). Recently, I visited the sushi exhibition. It was quite captivating

Actually, it is a very interesting monument: on the sides of the base and also on the walls next to the park entrences, there are displayed plates of historical information that i found very intreaguing. What's more, the park next to the statue is a great place for visitors of all ages, the coffee is good and so are the people. 👍

A very good place for a walk, can be busy during weekend.

Pretty huge market area where you can find all sorts of stuffs - meat, milk, cheese, spices, vegetables, clothes, shoes, plants, household items etc. Don't expect cards or any other digital form of payments. Seems like you need to bargain on what you buy. It can be super crowded. Never seen such a market anywhere in the European continent so far

It's a nice place if you know the best trading spots. Thankfully i had a very nice Piata Centrala Guide (Alex Postolachi and his charming wife Elena) whom helped to find quality goods and a reasonable price in a very short period of time! I recommend Alex, cause without him you can get lost in this market!

It's a big market and you can find anything here. A lot of the stuff is very cheap and not that bad. I recommend coming here once in a while but be careful of țigani, they will steal your stuff.

Amazing! Absolutely number one in Chișinău. Once of the best market place I’ve ever been. Fresh and dry sweets, fruits, vegetables, honey, spices. More? Classical traditional haft shirts, of course so expensive compare to modern shirts, but craft by locals, not in Bangladés or Cambodia. Kvass needed to try!

Make sure you don't miss this place when you pass by Chisinau. Fantastic local seasonal fruits at bargain price. €1.2 for a kilo of very sweet cherries, €1 for a huge pot of raspberry! At 17:30 most stores were closed, so come a bit early! It opens from 07:30.

A must see place in Chisinau if you want to truly experience Moldova and taste some exquisite pickled mushrooms and other vegetables. Sellers are quite nice and let you have a try before buying anything. Make sure to bring cash as they do not accept cards.

The biggest open air flea market in Chișinău. A definite must see on your list of things to do in the city. Just off the main street in the city centre, this market has everything from fruit and vegetables, coffee, meat, kitchen utensils, electric products, plastic ware, clothing as well as bicycles. It’s very busy on the weekend, so take care. Some of the vendors can speak limited English which helps. Most stalls only take cash, so make sure to bring your Lei. There is a limited “fast food” section with a BBQ which is worth trying.

A fantastic place with virgin nature and quite peaceful to relax with your family members. Amazing to be visited in spring or summer. The entrance for adults is 10 MDL.

I visited the 8 shaped lake next to the Botanical Garden. People were having picnics. Others were fishing. One guy took out of water a beautiful perch. The lake is now in a better shape than a few years ago when it was operated by a private company that rented it from municipality. However clear rules need to be imposed on fishing. Litter around the lake and maintenance of walk ways is a problem that needs urgent an solution.

No photos are allowed inside. If you want photos you need to pay. The entire visit lasted 10 minutes and most of it was due to the lady guiding us through and describing for us what we see. It's called the Pushkin museum but then he stayed there 3 months only and there's really nothing related to him. It was a quiet disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend.

A truly worthwhile site. Very nice layout of information, notes, books, pictures etc. in a home setting that itself is enjoyable to view. The apartment where Pushkin lived briefly is well maintained and next to the museum. The information is mostly in other than English but a booklet with English explanations is available. The location is on a dead-end street that is kind of alley like but take heart it's worth the effort.

Brilliant museum. Well worth a visit for Pushkin aficionados. The 100 lei paid at the time of writing is well worth the price for a guided tour of the museum and exhibitions. There are a lot of very interesting things to do with Pushkin’s time in Moldova, including the style of pipes he used to smoke, maps of where he has visited and stayed, his own sketches and writing, etc.

This house-museum preserves where Pushkin lived for 2.5 months in Chisinau before moving to a hotel that no longer exists. Here he wrote Evgheniy Onegin and other famous Russian works of literature.

Great - but only if you bring your imagination with you. There's not much here in English, so you might want to find a good translator; the woman who was working here when I paid a visit spoke Russian and German pretty well, but no English. And the location itself is hard to find, the house being tucked away among some blocks of flats. By Chisinau standards it's still well worth a visit.
