Really cool experience definitely worth it, seeing the beautiful owls and birds was just amazing. The bird show was really interesting, great info, being up close to these beautiful owls and birds was great. My kids loved it, and the fairy door hunt and animal picture hunt around the facility was fun. Really nice staff who adore these owls and birds was lovely too see.

What a fantastic place. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. We attended the bird display, got hold over 5; birds. It was quiet when we were there. If your expecting Chester zoo , it's not what it is, is a informative and relaxed place, off the beaten track.

Went to the Owl & Bird of Prey Sanctuary With my partner today and it was absolutely Amazing first of when we arrived their was this lovely person who greeted us and was very helpful with our questions and told us all the information we needed to know after that we went around to look at the Owl’s & Bird’s and they were beautiful we then sat down to have lunch and after that went to the Bird Air Show which started at 12:30 it was amazing the way they told us everything about the birds and how to hold them was spot on and it was very good both me and my partner enjoyed seeing Magic,Wally and Sammy afterwards me and my partner had gone back to look around for the last time before we went and my partner need to find something and the lovely person who we saw at the start had heard us asking were Wally’s Sign was she then helped us and showed us and told us more facts about wally this person was amazing and very nice would come back here again :)

Brilliant place to introduce kids to the kings of the sky. The staff is friendly and very interactive. At some point, you feel sorry for the birds being in the cage, but as the staff explained later, their chances of survival are better this way. If the weather permits, the birds put up a show. The kids loved finding the doors of hidden fairy houses, it was very engaging experience overall.

This is a lovely place to visit if you have even a passing interest in owls or birds of prey. It has a slightly run down feel to it but don't let that put you off. This is a volunteer led site that relies entirely on the money it can generate. The bird flying which takes place once a day (at 12:30 currently) is the real jewel in the crown of this place. The two presenters were extremely knowledgeable and nearly everyone in the audience who wanted to was able to interact with the birds.

The sanctuary is an amazing day out. Brilliant way to get closer to our wildlife led by knowledgeable, fun volunteers who clearly know their stuff. All money goes back into funding their work. Highly recommended for a visit!

Lovely relaxing afternoon, the birds are amazing, and there is interesting information about every bird as you walk around. The flight show was great. The staff are amazing, very knowledgeable, and ensure the visitors get involved, allowing people to hold the Owls. There is a gift shop on site, it is a cheap and cheerful experience. I will definitely be going again 😁

You can see the LOVE the volunteers put into the Sanctuary. Beautiful birds, lovely hidden gem in a little forest area, the bird display was phenomenal. You know it's good value for money when you feel almost guilty that it only cost £30 for a family of 4 with everything we saw and experienced. Well done volunteers your Sanctuary is fantastic :)

What a fabulous place. The birds are awesome. They are in a natural setting and the staff are so proactive within the sanctuary. I will be back to support the sanctuary and to see these beauties again. The place its self had seated areas and is so tranquil ❤ just listening to the birds.

Beautiful birds! And even more amazing staff. My partner and I visited the owl and birds of prey sanctuary yesterday (19th March). The birds were gorgeous and so fascinating. It was amazing to see the bonds they have with their owners. Thankfully they had the all clear for bird flu as they did a little flying show for us! I would definitely recommend!!

We have had such an amazing day out watching the show today, we were lucky with the weather, so stayed pretty much from the start till the end of the display. The birds were just magnificent and the trainers are all incredibly knowledgeable and clearly dedicated to their birds. The audience was mixed, full of very young kids, teenagers anf adults of all ages and the trainers ensured that everyone who wanted got to hold a bird (or 2 or 3!!). The place would benefit from donations to update the cages, but if you're going to just see the show, you should not be disappointed. The place also offers a picnic area and a children's playground area where you can relax before/after the show in the fresh air.

Definitely recommend if you would like to try something new or find something to do on a spontaneous day out, especially on a budget! The highlight was the talk at 12.30 as everyone in the audience had the ability to hold the owls with flying demonstrations. The staff were lovely too... keep up the hard work.

Super place run by friendly volunteers to home rescued birds. About 70 different types. Birds look in great condition. Good information boards and excellent flying show where you get to interact with the birds which are well mannered and safe. Very much recommended to see these amazing birds close-up. Reasonable price entry fee which goes direct to upkeep of birds.

Great little place ran by very passionate people. The flying display is the highlight with each party getting there own glove and having the birds flown to them, magnificent experience. Good varied collection of owls and birds of prey in the sanctuary. Access to the sanctuary is around the back of a garden centre via a unpaved track just follow the owl signs!

Great afternoon for me and my two girls. £20 is all it cost us! We all enjoyed it 🦉 There’s a little play area and fairy houses for the kids, plus my eldest enjoyed doing the scavenger hunt. It’s run by volunteers, who are really friendly and are a credit to the place. Would highly recommend 🦅

I didn't expect this place to be particularly popular and I was a bit surprised how many people were eager to see the owl show. the show takes place at 12.30 pm (weather permitting) and lasts about 1 hour. volunteers have a lot of knowledge and are able to convey everything in an interesting and funny way. my son was a little disappointed that some guests had the opportunity to hold the birds much more than he did, but in the end he too waited for his turn. The birds are great, although the conditions in which they live are a bit unpleasant. getting to the parking lot may raise doubts that we are going to the right place;) overall, I recommend it and I hope that the money obtained from ticket sales goes to improving the living conditions of these birds. adult £10f, child £5

Fantastic place with a close up flight display at 12.30pm. The staff were friendly and super informative. The birds were beautiful. £10 per adult and £5 per child. We paid on the door and they take cash or card. Enclosures were in a lovely woodland next to a fishing lake. There was a small play area and picnic tables. Parking easy and toilets at the entrance. My son loved holding several owls during the flight display. Suitable for all ages. We had a great afternoon.

Had a fantastic day out at the sanctuary at the weekend. We were greeted by a few of the helpful and friendly volunteers as we paid for entrance (£10 is an absolute bargain and the money goes towards taking care of the birds). Time flew by as we spent an hour and a half looking at the birds. There were so many different birds to see and each one was magnificent. The bird flying show lasted about 2 hours and everyone had a brilliant time. 6 different owls came out one by one and everyone had several opportunities to let the birds land on your arm as the volunteers taught us plenty about the owls lifestyle and personalities. It's the perfect day out for people of all ages!

What an amazing place to visit! My daughter absolutely loves birds, so it was a must visit for us. She absolutely loved it! There are lots of different stunning owls and birds of prey, you can tell are very well cared for by the volunteers. The bird show at 12.30 (dependant on weather) is the star of the show, what a brilliant opportunity to hold some of the owls and learn all about them. She got to hold all 5 birds and has never been happier. On entry they we're given clipboards with a scavenger hunt for fairy houses and animals, once completed it they got a lolly. There are lots of picnic tables to eat at, take a picnic theres no cafe. There are toilets situated just outside the main gate and free parking. All interactions with the volunteers were positive, they are genuinely lovely people who clearly love what they do. Although its an hours drive from Manchester i have no doubt we will be back multiple times, i highly recommend you visit!

Absolutely love it here. Beautiful scenery and fantastic wildlife. They have a range of activities throughout the year for the kids which are either free or cost little. In the summer you can certainly make the day of it, great park for young and older kids especially. £5 parking all day, considering looking into monthly/quarterly cost for the car park so we can go more. Went today for the kids orienteering and the ladies there were absolutely fantastic, great service.

Very pretty wetland and nature reserve, so much to see and do. Visitors centre with plenty of interesting information and games and puzzles for children. Suitable walks for all mobilities all very well maintained (at the time of our visit). Large cafe with an extensive menu. Little shops (which were unfortunately closed at the time of our visit)

A very nice place to visit, the wildlife appeared to be taking a day off though, having said that at my age my walking range is a bit limited so will revisit. The catering is rudimentary in its offerings considering the modern kitchen and equipment available to staff. Parking there was plenty room, one option £5 for all day but money goes to funding the reserve.

Excellent place for an easy walk round the bird reserve. Plenty of hides to see the wildlife. Nice centre for snacks/drinks. Just a pity about the constant done of traffic from the M6.

Lovely place to walk round and see wild life but the cafe is poor. No individual tables to sit at only long ones, coffee and tea have to be made yourself from machine, soggy chips being kept warm rather than freshly made. Should be better for the price. They need to check out Martin Meres cafe that is excellent.

Great nature reserve. We visited on a Sunday morning. It's £5 to park in the carpark with automatic number plate detection when you enter. Plenty of space in the carparks. The UK's first floating visitor centre was great to visit. The woman in the visitor centre was really friendly and we picked up a map of the area. We got a drink and cookies in the cafe which were a tad on the pricy side. There's also toilets there too. We walked over five miles round the different trails. We saw squirrels, a heron, various birds, hares, longhorn cattle and deer. There was also a stone circle, bird hides and many sculptures dotted about the lakes. Would recommend a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Plenty of different walks round with maps to follow. A pleasant walk along the river Ribble is a must do. There is also a woodland walk to view many different birds and animals. Large cafe and visitors centre. Just £5 car park charge. Well worth a visit.

Great place for a lovely walk/picnic and some fresh air. Free to enter just pay for carpark but that's reasonable considering the upkeep costs per day! Great playarea for the kids. Toilets on site. Food area and gift shop. Nice and clean. Plenty to see on the different trails. Kids enjoyed den building in the woods.

A stunning location. We went for the Santa event and it did not disappoint, my daughter found it magical. Parking is easy to access, there is a large outdoor play area enroute to parking that is easy to walk to. Even spotted deer is the tree line. Would definitely visit again. No dogs allowed on floating visitor centre area though. Loved it.

Beautiful nature reserve, only wish we would have had more time to spend here. We would definitely have done the egg hunt. Lots of beautiful walks for all of the family.

My first visit and my family enjoyed very well. Went on a weekday with a nice weather not very busy, will surely go back. You have to pay £5 day ticket for parking cheaper when you buy an annual pass. Large Play area with activities for all ages, nice environment for family picnics

Beautiful setting, car park is £5 but worth it for what's here. Great staff and prices are reasonable. Only thing that let it down was dog walkers in a place meant to be dog free. We brought our son with ASD as a safe space for him to feel free to run around but hampered by idiots who think more of their dogs than others or what the place is for. Would be good to see staff patrolling for issues such as this but aside from that a great time, fun explores and very relaxing.

Beautiful place, great parking which you do have to pay for. Lovely walks and play areas for kids of all ages. No dogs allowed, unfortunately, but that's so there's no interference with the wildlife. Would recommend for a nice relaxing walk with family

Lovely place for a walk, wheelchair friendly, and child friendly. Nice cafe with seating and toilets. There's a decent kids play area on the other side of the car park.

My first visit to this excellent nature reserve next to the M6 motorway. My sister who has been before guided us for a 3.6 miles walk around the reserve with coffees half way round. Paths were very muddy today but the weather was fine. It was very interesting watching the sand martins using the purpose built nest site.

A great nature reserve close to the M6 motorway with a floating visitor centre including a cafe, there is also a small play area for children and it has the Guild Wheel Cycle Route pass through the reserve as well as running alongside the River Ribble. There is a fee of £5 for the car park which covers for a full days visit, and the proceeds are put back into the site, you can also purchase a 3, 6 or 12 month car park pass to make it cheaper if you want to visit more often. A good selection of birds, ducks, squirrels and even deer roam around the site. The paths are good for those with walking difficulties, prams and wheelchairs too, although it was a tad wet and muddy when we visited but there has been quite a good amount of rain recently and the site is on a natural flood plain.

Reclaimed land from an older quarry. The 'floating' village is striking, although quite how it floats is a mystery as it rests on concrete. The location and view though is spectacular. The cafe could be better, which is why I haven't given 5 stars.

Coming back when weather better. Was lovely restaurant feels like you are gloating and plenty of routes. Majority are wheelchair friendly. Can't wait to go back

Brilliant place to go walking and nature/bird spotting. (Several hides dotted around) paths are good and accessible, visitor centre is lovely too.

I love this place very much. It's great for some alone time. You can walk or you can sit and enjoy the view. This park is very big you can play, walk, sit and watch the river. It's my favourite place. In my pic it was evening time. If you like to see the sun then you have to go early 😉.

Excellent place for all the family, Walkers, Runners and more. Great for wandering, taking a stroll, events and much more. I’ve come here many times over sixty years. Something for everyone

Stunning park, absolute credit to the grounds people. Japanese gardens beautiful. Such a relaxing walk, everyone seems to be chilled here, friendly and chatty. Local pub (continental) at one end or dog friendly cafe on the park (although they are missing a trick in not selling any dog treats, this would boost your profits given how busy you get with doggy visitors) Plenty of parking. Lots of families enjoying the last bits of nice weather. Football played at weekends. Guild wheel passes through so be mindful of the cyclists who seem to think everyone should move for them, other than the ignorant riders this is a top notch park.

Beautiful park, something for everyone dogs, bike rides, walks, kids and just sitting and relaxing. Free parking and free toilets and a cafe (serving a limited menu at the moment). Grounds are wonderful Japanese gardens, large grassed areas, flowers and Two kids play areas, river walk is relaxing and quite.

For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider, every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver.

Large park just to the south of Preston centre, great for exploring. Even found a cannon from the battle of Sevastopol!

Very beautiful scenery. Every angle is picturesque! I had the best time walking and taking the the view in, I even lost track of time.

Lovely views / scenery. I enjoy the health walk on Monday mornings, and have heard good things about a group on Wednesday mornings. Just found the 'katsu' tree in the Japanese gardens, that smells of toffee apples when the leaves turn orange in Autumn.

Always great walking in these parks no matter what the time of the year it is. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the pathways on the opposite side of the river have had a major upgrade. You can now easily walk to the Capitol Centre on a tarmac path, so no more dodging puddles and mud. Brilliant work done by Preston Council.

Right I'm my doorstep, so lucky to have such beautiful parks so close by. We'll worth a visit with kids,digs and family.

Lovely park. Not all entrances are accessible for wheelchairs and prams. We came in, or tried to, from East cliff side and it was bollards and steps so had to walk round. Very steep path all the way down the the pavilion but if you're pretty fit it's fine (I'm 8 and a half months pregnant). Lots of places to sit, lovely little cafe selling ice cream and barm cakes with bacon/sausage. Lovely stroll along the river ribble, wide flat paths perfect for pram, wheelchairs, runners and cyclists. Small park for the kids next to public toilets. They were clean enough but very dark. These were not wheelchair accessible and dis not have changing facilities for babies. We took a picnic and a football which was perfect. Lots of dog walkers and it was dog poo free (Lots of bins located around it). Unfortunately when we were there an idiot on a motorbike with a balaclava on riding close up to everyone including children. I'm guessing this is probably a one off and not a reflection of the park itself.

It is a lovely, spacious and beautiful park. It is nicely maintained. Can easily spend a few hours here. A lot of space for picnics. Plenty of walking trails and cycle routes. Also, play areas for children. Recommended for all.

Lovely park respectfully used by most. Nice walk along edge of river or just sit and enjoy. Park is a bit hilly but something for everyone. Cafe looks nice food is nice but be prepared to queue. Queued for hot food only yo be told to come back in 30 mins as they were too busy ( hardly anyone in, basically everyone wanted ice creams but it was the same queue. No organisation.) Park however lovely and toilets in cafe and separate block in Park.

Our girl had an amazing day out. (4 yrs and 1 yrs,) entry plus tractor 🚜 ride for everyone (£44 for family of 4). Loads of picnic tables or space to put a blanket down for lunch. We didn't do any of the walks unfortunately as our girls just wanted to play in the barn and in the lovely big park that is great for ages from 1-2 yrs up to around 10-12 yrs. The day we went it was really hot so the only downside for me was the lack of shade in/over the playground area. (No cover at all).

What a gem of a place took a gamble in the middle of no where, the size and offering were fantastic. Went with an older child, but I appreciate the amount to do for the smaller one. Beautiful location, great walking trail at a great price.

Wonderful little country place with loads to do with the kids or adults really. Feeding the animals is a great laugh, especially if your in with the goats as they are definitely not shy and will jump up on your lap of your sitting haha. The staff are super friendly friendly. They are a blast and very insightful. The site has lovely scenery and you can really enjoy country side.

Took my twins here for Halloween and it was a great day out. The land is a great place to take little ones. Love the barn and all the things they can do. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Only thing I feel could be improved is the cafe. It's a little small, and the food could be better. Nothing to do with the service at all, it's just whats bought in could be better quality. Maybe an expansion of the cafe would be good. Also, maybe pumpkin picking in a field might be an idea too. But an over all great day. I'll be coming back again next year for sure! Thank you 🙂

I could not fault the day we had! My husband stayed in a pod with the kids the night before (i had a girls' night) and then met them the next day to do the farm. The pods were clean.. i little cold of a night (depends what time of the year you come, facilities clean and warm. It has a park and a field to play sports. Lovely woodland walks. And has a bench and campfire for each pod. We got welcomed by all staff who were very happy abd jolly to met us! The children held some animals , and the staff were so patient and very talkative. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Always something for the kids to do, the park was amazing great for all ages. Also, 2 zip wires, which means not along time to wait. There are so many picnic benches around the whole park. We will definitely be coming back! 100% worth the money... 2 types of woodland walks to spot things, the is also a game where the staff hide painted rocks around the park, if you find one you get a prize, my kids loved this 😀

Our second time camping at Wild Boar Park and it was even better. Family group age 2 to 69 years. Great flat pitches, super clean modern showers and toilets. Lovely walks in the woods lots of birdsong. Bought tickets for the park which gives you entrance for all days that you are camping. Kids fed llamas, goats hens and ducks. Watched the amusing meercats and piglets, held baby chicks and a snake. Rode on tractor and worked the diggers. Played for ages on the big playground. Bonus was a visit from the bubble lady. We kept revisiting for the 3 days we were there. We had a sneak peak at the new giant tepee wedding venue which looks amazing. Great family weekend.

We stayed in one of the pods. Very nice experience and we really enioyed it. Wild life around and you still got basics to keep comfortable like lights and a couple of wall sockets

Great day out for little and big kids. We loved the animals, gladly bought some nibbles to feed them, children enjoyed the zip line and carts while we had a picnic at one of many tables. We like to arrive among the first.

We had a lovely day at this park. Even the teenagers enjoyed it. It's worth making the effort to walk up the various trails to find the emus. Reasonable priced food in the cafe as well

We hired a pod for a night in the Easter holidays as a little adventure for the youngest. She was super excited for out mini holiday! The pod was very basic, but the website didn't purport to anything fancy. It was a shell, wooden floor and a double socket! Airbeds and bedding with a cool box was all we needed. The pod also came with a fire pit, we brought our own wood and also BBQ. The weather was appalling but we made the most of it! The park itself was brilliant, loads of animals to see and get up close and personal with. Very knowledgeable staff dotted around the place, also allow you to hold some of the animals. The youngest enjoyed the quizes provided and gained the answers on the way around the park. The tickets allowed us entry again the following day which was an added bonus us as we had to take a very slow and quiet walk around the fairy trail again! Brilliant night away, will visit again for sure!

Lovely hidden gem! ✨ Amazing friendly staff, big hat our tractor ride guide was great, informative and funny! And the lady showing us the snakes and chicks! Large area for a walk around to see the animals and explore the vast amount of space. Lovely areas like the den building and large play ground and the educational area with lots of different creatures to look at and the old McDonald's barn with mud kitchen and tractors to play with. Lots of different animals to look at and feed with food from the shop. Food in the cafe was a small menu but all nice and enough for fussy eaters and reasonably priced! The pop up food/snack places weren't open when we went (on a wet rainy day) so can't comment on them. Would love to come back again, may try the camping when the weather's nicer! You can definitely spend all day here when the weather allows (though there are indoor/sheltered places for when the rain does come) we stayed 10.30-2.30 and still didn't explore everything! Thank you ✨

Well worth a visit. There was quite a few friendly animals that are able to be hand fed, so a great experience for the kids (beware the geese). Even my 18 month old enjoyed feeding the goats and deer (after me resting first). Food on site did the job and was reasonably priced. Tractor ride worth it and only £2/ person. So yes I'd recommend a visit. Cheers

Went today - despite the weather being so wet the kids all had a great day! Steve who did the tractor ride was fab! Staff had moved more picnic benches under shelter for people who had brought packed lunches which was fab! A couple of my friends got food from the cafe and they said it was lovely (pea and ham soup). I would say the ice cream was over priced for the size of scoop we got given as the scoop didn’t even cover the base of the cone! (attached a photo)

Took the mother's day offer, which I'm glad we did. Not much too see. For a wild boar Park we only saw about 4 boars. Had our dinner in the cafe. Looked at the menu as we ordered and the woman said to get burgers from the burger van then come back for your chips. But it was on the cafe menu....

Took kids out here, they loved to see animals and feed them. There is education centre where you can take some animals into your hand. Lots of stuff to play and playground there is. There is barrel rides for kids, tractor ride for all family and tank ride as well. Ice cream shop and shop to buy some food as well as coffee. Spend almost 5 hours and kids didn't wanted to go out. Forth to pay for entry tickets.

Absolutely amazing, great value for money. Loads to do and animals to see, but what makes it for us is that the people that work there are so friendly and genuinely enjoy working there! Just fab!

This was our first visit and we will definitely be back! We had a full day of feeding friendly animals, holding baby chicks, tractor rides, crafting, face painting and playing on a fantastic playground.

We love our visits here. All the staff from the moment you enter are all so lovely, friendly and helpful. Today, while we were there, we were lucky enough to see the bubble show. The children were fascinated and spent ages playing in them. The tractor ride is another must. It's such fun. We always like feeding the animals and getting to hold one of the baby chick's was an added bonus. Can't recommend highly enough

What a spectacular day out with the family. Really friendly staff and animals that love to be fed from the hand. We had a great few hours here and much needed family time, so many animals to see and plenty of boars roaming around the place. If you want to book the tractor rides make sure you get in there early as they can quickly book up. You can do the whole place in the morning, not really a full day out but plenty to see. The keeper working In the indoor section was amazing and got out each and every animal the children wanted to hold 👍♥️

We had a great time here, but the coffee was expensive and from a machine you do yourself. That's not really good enough. I'd go again but next time I'll bring a packed lunch and my own drinks. It might seem petty but it's a real let-down when you're charged through the nose for refreshments

We went here in half term. The weather was awful but didn't dampen our spirits! The ice cream was nice although it was a very very small scoop! Which was expensive for what you got. The kids loved feeding the different animals. The only thing we were a bit upset about is the education centre, the member of staff was clock watching, and didn't want to get the animals out. My son held a snake, which he loved, he wanted to hold more of the animals, the lady said to come back in half an hour which we did but she said they were too tired. I understand that the animals welfare is the priority here, but maybe a bit more people skills wouldn't go a miss. We would like to come back and have a better experience but we still had a great time albeit not being able to see all the animals up close.

Excellent day out. Good value for money. Bit muddy, but where isn't with the rain we've had. Only thing I'd note would be I think needs to be a pedestrian walk way from carpark. Currently cars can come round a blind corner where people are walking.

10/10, is a very nice pub with friendly staff. My son who is a very fussy eater seemed to enjoy it a lot. The price wasn’t bad but I understand that even if it was there is nothing the staff or management can do as it’s Marstons menu. The staff was very nice to my family and made us feel very welcome. Overall was a lovely day out and will be back very soon.

I came into the pub and was greeted by Tass and she made sure that the party I was with got to a table without trouble and made sure we had everything we needed. She was pleasant and polite and never stopped smiling. The pub seems to have really improved under the new management, well done!

Lunch on a Saturday. Service was a little slow waiting for food. Over 25 mins from ordering. However food was hot and tasty when it did arrive. Prices very good .

Called here yesterday evening on the off chance on our way home and was pleasantly surprised. All the staff were lovely and attentive and the food was lovely, good portions and hot. I had a steak and it was cooked perfectly, considering some well know steak chains can't even manage that. No doubt if we're in the area we would visit again. ***Edit*** I should if put the only reason I dropped a star was because you didn't have the sherry trifle cheesecake and had eyed that up from the moment I'd sat down, if I could of dropped only 1/2star I would of 😃

Be prepared for a 45-50 minute wait. Then the food is of varying quality. If the menu says it comes with gravy or tartar sauce, maybe remind them at the till that you do actually want that, as opposed to dried up food. Certain menu options are better than others. I’d never been to The Guild before, but always keen to try new places. Vouchers were delivered to us in leaflets, so we gave it a try. Unfortunately it’s not a favourite; there are many better places. Marstons at The Ribble Pilot is good, nice inside, and has a nice location.

What a difference!! Visited with family today and what an amazing experience. Was served by Sophie and the new management and they all went above and beyond for us! We were very nicely surprised at how nice the food was, not just your average pub grub! Will definitely be back very soon

I had a mix grill here, it was awesome and such great value for money. The pub is very clean and tidy. Staff are polite and friendly. You can definitely tell there’s a new team in this pub

It's a really nice pub situated on a busy roundabout next to a garage and a Sainsbury's local. The inside is nice and it has a nice beer garden. However the food let's this place down. Husband ordered beef stroganoff and it arrived looking grey. He said it tasted like beef in dish water. I had beef and Stilton salad which was nice apart from the beef being tough and expensive for what you get. Sadly won't be eating here again.

Went in yesterday with my family of 5 to check out the new managers, can’t fault it at all the food and service was spot on nothing like it has been before. Defo be returning again. Thanks Mike for the warm welcome.

We ordered and waited 2 and a half hours being told they did not have any beef burgers or salad it was appalling we asked for a refund and got it. There was 2 members of staff who were lovely and doing their best and it was those 2 ladies who got the brunt from very unhappy customers it was not fair. Whoever runs the pub should be sacked. I won't be going there again until they change the management

The worst meal we've had in a long time. The fish was cooked until dry! The mixed grill was treated similarly though the request was for rare steak! The chicken breast was dry and shrivelled from over cooking. The egg that was advertised was not served at all and both we and the waitress didn't know there wasn't any eggs until aftercthe meal was served. No reduction offered. After complaining that the steak was dry another so called rare steak was served which must have hit the pan quickly and flipped over and not rested of course so the plate was flooded in blood. This was Monday. Don't go there on Monday ( or Tuesday- same cook).

Would not go here again or recommend to friends. After waiting 50 minutes for our food I asked the barmaid if she could check on it and she did, but never got back to us, after waiting a further 15 minutes we received the food. Tables that came in after us and was seated around us received their food within 10 minutes of ordering. The adult meals were served lukewarm and the children’s meal was served too hot resulting in my daughter waiting even longer to eat her food. Having visited the guild merchant previously we are disappointed with this service today and will not be returning.

Normally I would give this place a 5* for food and service but after the new management and chef change it’s actually nowhere near as good. Half of the food wasn’t available, when we did get food the portion sizes have shrunk, the prawn starter was absolutely tasteless and normally is a generous portion, we visit the guild merchant often as we live around the corner and the food has always been amazing and the prices too. The food is nowhere near as good as the previous chef, we all order our usual food choices but it was bland & we won’t be using the guild as our weekly eating out place any more. The orders were wrong, we waited ages for food which all was served at different times. I’m absolutely gutted. Get the previous chef back !!!!

Good food at an excellent price. You cannot fault the portions and everything we had tasted good. Friendly staff and well worth a visit. Food served until 9pm and with specials everyday that include a drink from about £7.50 you cannot go wrong. This pub deserves to do well so go and support your local!

Today, we went to Beacon Fell, and to my surprise we had a brilliant afternoons walk, the youngest of the party was only 6 yrs old, that was our grandson Jack, he was thrilled with the following, the head, snake, lizard and owls, he got to climb a little, and let loose for a little while with his Grandma, Grandad, and Uncle Paul. Absolutely fantastic to visit, especially when it's been such a good day, car parking was easy to find and get a space. All told we walked about 5 kilometres.

Plenty of parking (if main carpark is full, there are others around the oneway circluar). Visitors information and toilet facilities on main carpark. Great views, various sculptures dotted around and a play area. Good paths, it was raining for a few days before but not muddy. Cant advise on wheelchair suitability but did see people out with prams. Dogs welcome. Overall, very enjoyable :)

Lovely walks with well maintained paths, good signposting and plenty of parking. There is a coffee shop here with lovely homemade cakes.

Lovely walk round. We only did the red route(about 40 mins) nice sculptures to find along the way. The teenagers enjoyed it too.

Great place to spend a few hours meandering along the trails. A sculpture trail for the kids. A little cafe selling cake and coffee. Dog friendly. Car park is £1 but need vard or phone. NO CASH

I hadn't been to Beacon Fell since before Covid, and now osteoarthritis makes walking difficult. There are more paths and amenities (Sept 2023), and various areas have been replanted with mixed woodland. The view from the trig. point at the top is as good as ever!

This is a gorgeous place to take a walk even on a miserable day, just be sure to bring appropriate footwear. The view from the top is fantastic.

This is such a beautiful place to visit with pathways for every ability. Short, medium or long walks surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, we spent a whole day just rambling around finding the tree sculptures, playing and climbing trees and hiding out in the handmade shelters with the children. Brilliant cafe and toilet block on site and you park for just £1 a day! Perfection right there and a brilliant family day out.

Love the Rocks and Pillars cemented with rich history and heritage. Unfortunately could not go in as its still temporarily closed. Hope to get in soon ....

Modest compared to many of the museums you might find in, say, Liverpool, but the crown jewel of Preston none the less. I don't live in Preston anymore and this is one of the places I miss the most. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and are happy to talk to you in detail about the art, the cafe is reasonably priced and has the most beautiful surroundings and the toilets are well maintained, if not the easiest to access. There's something for everyone here. Fine art, ceramics, textiles and local history all have their own large, dedicated rooms, plus there's a regular rotation of special exhibits. These are often more modern but not necessarily always, and might showcase amateur or student art, the work of a single professional artist, comic book art, prehistory, sculpture etc etc... Basically, despite the size of the building, you could spend hours here! Although I personally preferred to make regular, short visits, to drink up the atmosphere and gaze once again at my favourite works.

Very interesting and diverse collection of exhibitions, always changing. Excellent place for adults and children alike. The Harris Museum also houses Preston public library. There is also a cafe and gift shop.

Beautiful small museum at heart of Preston. Entry is free and the staff is enthusiastic and sincere. The collection is well curated and displayed. The atmosphere exudes enthusiasm. Never seen such a small museum punching above its weight. Must visit to know the spirit of Preston

I love being here. It is my favourite place in Preston. It's quiet, quaint, but airy. The displays and exhibitions catch the local taste. I would highly recommend going here if you are in Preston area and haven't already done so.

I found it fascinating, just enough history to keep you entertained without getting bored and the added bonus of an art gallery with some incredible paintings. The building is impressive also. Didn't visit the library part or the cafe so can't comment on those parts. Would visit again if I'm ever in Preston again.

Recently did an internship here and I cannot recommend it more. The staff are just as welcoming and friendly as they seem (which seems to be rare) and they will always accommodate you, help you in anyway way and truly care about the place. The exhibitions and artefacts that are on display are also fascinating and well looked after.

Great place, I'd totally recommend. Great food with decent children's lunch boxes, comfy MK1 coaches and beautiful steam engines, along with a fabulous museum to put the cherry on top. There is a total ride journey of around 20 minutes, winding through the woodlands beside the river Ribble. All the possible activities fit into the perfect time-frame of a good day out. Overrall, I would recommend to any rail enthusiasts out there, young or old, or even family members just for a nice day out. 5/5 stars!

A lovely museum and railway offering rides behind trains over their 1.5 mile line. I visited on a gala day and found it thoroughly entertaining, there’s also plenty to see in the museum and a nice little tea room. All the volunteers I spoke to were really nice! A great day, with great locos and great volunteers! Thank you Ribble Railway and Museum for a good day!

Lovely steam railway. Doesn't get too crowded. Good prices. Interesting museum. Cafe. Souvenir shop with limited stock available. Just a shame that there's only one station at the moment for a round trip. In the future it would be great to have a second station as a destination. Gala days have a good atmosphere. Recommended.

Excellent trip today Manager Paolo and Julie gave us a first class visit . Would highly recommend a visit here some good engines and coaches to view. Restoration carriage / engine shed, loved seeing the Princess Alexandra carriage . A lovely walk along the River Ribble to the museum. Ty

A great couple of hours spent visiting this museum and heritage railway with family ranging from 2 yo to 70+. The provision for young children is excellent and there are lots of activities and exhibits they can touch and play with. The steam train was short and sweet, a very good activity if you’re not looking to spend the entire day on board. Views across the Ribble Marina were attractive and the pedestrians near the route all waved to us train passengers as we were added them by.. thoroughly convivial! The staff, made up mainly of volunteers (children, adults and seniors), are knowledgeable and enthusiastic and they make the day all the better. I’m not a train person but they made the subject lively and interesting as they spoke with passion. A real gem of a family day out, heartily recommended.

Well this hidden gem is fantastic. Volunteers and workers are so lovely and enthused by engineering and history. Great for kids to get their imaginations going, and plenty of space to roam! Working railway behind the museum as well. The Santa train is amazing value for money, and everyone is so generous and kind. Free parking is a bonus. Also, amazingly allergy aware, providing gluten free alternatives, so impressive as our party had multiple allergies. So much thought to the place!

We did a murder mystery night, it was absolutely fantastic and the actors were brilliant. It's also a great museum to look around as well as offering a trip on the steam train. You can even get into some of the old carriages and into the cab of an old train in the museum. It has a nice cafe and a very well priced gift shop.

Good value railway in an interesting location. I visited on a steam gala so there were 4 locomotives working and there was always something happening. The red Furness no. 20 is absolutely stunning and worth the entrance fee to see in steam alone. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

Maybe it was just me, but I found the ride boring. The view wasn't bad but not much was exciting. However, riding on a steam train was reward eniugh. The train itself was quite nice and comfortable

Our family (3 and 7 year old) had a lovely morning here. Enjoyed walking round the museum and a short play in the park. Went on the train twice. (as you can ride as much as you like) Went on a steam day which I think is worth it. As other reviews say. No need to book.

We had a great evening on a murder mystery. The actors were great and it took a bit of working out to guess who Dunnet. Good fun. The food and hospitality from all the volunteers was fantastic.

Came for a visit on the 20th May. Brilliant day out loads of engines too look at an you can ride the train as many times as you like! My little girls favourite part was sorting out the mail on the mail train. Also the staff an volunteers are amazing.

A small park, the path is about 2.5km around, car park to reservoir and back again. A perfect place to walk the dog with plenty for them to sniff.

I enjoyed the experience, would have liked to see more lights, loved walking g through the wardrobe! teen aged son wasn't as impressed. Special huge thank you to the two members of staff who helped me look for my car keys which I had dropped in the car park. We bought food but ended up eating it in the car as wasn't enough seats in the food area. Was very impressed that as a vegetarian I had quite a few choices.

Nice walk, nature was preserved really well. Lovely sounds of birds, water flowing and saw a squirrel close up. It’s pay and display parking with meter. Nice for a picnic or stroll. Good for dog walkers, cyclists and joggers as well. The dogs weren’t all on leads and did sniff/lick people. No dog poo left around though which is brilliant! The reservoir is not really maintained and is overgrown with weeds, otherwise would be lovely. #preston

Fabulous country park , lots if wild flowers and walking , there is a cafe . Lots of car oarking . There is a lovely stream running through and great for my dog who loved it .

We had a great evening at the Northern lights event. It was well organised and thought out. Our only comment would be that the exit wasn't very well sign posted. We weren't sure if we had to back through the trail which I think some people did do.

Having been yesterday on our 💑 anniversary we've been supervised by the location and quietly spot. Cafe is really good-the best part of it-is panoramic wiew from top of. Forest way is quiet and very relaxing. I highly recommended to visit. A very satisfied customer and visitor.

Great little stop just off the motorway with plenty of picnic benches either by the cafe or further down if you fancy a wander first. Short circular walk from the cafe with lots of flowers and wildlife to see on good, dry paths so no need for boots or to worry about getting muddy. Enjoyed with my 4 year old boys and wife.

Superb country park great for kids and pets and very accessible. 650 acres of green oasis for you to explore, discover and relax in, with the River Lostock meandering through; close to junction 29 of the M6, between Preston and Chorley.

The Northern Lights were absolutely lovely, tremendously enjoyable and we had a wonderful time. The staff were super friendly and it was a joyful experience. My only complaint would be that we couldn’t get a cup of tea afterwards, could have had a coffee or a hot chocolate but no tea! Still, we had a fab time and next time I’ll bring a flask.

My husband, 3 year old and I attended the Northern Lights at Cuerdan Valley Park on Saturday 17th February 2024. It was a great evening. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I felt the evening was well organised and thought through. The lights were wonderful as there were different things to view as we walked around. We finished the evening with pizza and a go on the hook a penguin. I have to mention the wardrobe entrance and the fairies were a magical touch!

The holi run was an amazing event which myself and family thoroughly enjoyed. I would like to just add that I thought it was expensive for what you got. I’m in favour of helping our local area with nature and community uplifting but I did have a few friends who wouldn’t attend due to the price of the tickets.

Attended the Northern Oight Event at Cuerden Park. A nice, local and different activity to do. Abit muddy in parts. Definitely will bring a torch next time. It has potential to grow and be bigger with more themes. The light installments were effective and captivating. The staff were lovely, polite and caring. The food / drink section at the end was very disappointing. Not much undercover seating and only a handful of food / drink stalls. More was needed at the end as it was kind of like ‘a sour bite to end the meal’ type of thing.

A beautiful place, generations of my family have enjoyed the woods, lakes and fields, beautiful all year around, a great place to go sledging in the winter, and in the summer, kids can enjoy paddling in the river. Lots of picnic spots. It is a popular place, so can get busy, definitely a place for dog lovers, as very popular with dog walkers.

Such a lovely event we had a great night, parking was easy, plenty of volunteers around to help. We’ll definitely return

We had to spend about an hour here due to late train/missed connection. But at least it was a nice, warm and sunny day in June. 🌞. Imposing/ornate main entrance and nice colourful paintwork in platform area. Fairly standard station facilities.

As far as train stations go this one is pretty easy to navigate, some basic refreshments available. There is free pick up/drop off parking on the big open air car park next door. You only have 15 mins, but it's really useful for a quick turn around. Details are at the pay stations.

A disappointing train station by and large. Insufficient refreshments available at too-high prices, little miserly information boards instead of nice big ones, no nice warm waiting booth when you need one. Some of the staff are lovely but others seem downright obstructive.

Great place to hang around for no reason whatsoever as the train you expected probably inst running. The sooner the staff get sacked and are the trains are replaced with driver-less trains the better. Driver-less trains don't strike, don't whine and turn up for work.

What an absolutely amazing staff Preston Station have. Andrew went above and beyond to ensure that I made it to my desired destination safely. He was kind, patient and persistent to get to the bottom of my issue. Unfortunately my train was delayed in Brighton which meant I missed the last London train to the lakes. Nevertheless he tracked my journey and made sure I was taken care of. He has single-handedly made my day. Restored my faith in humanity. Thank you night team leader Andrew.

Staff have left a live, struggling, exhausted bird trapped in their needless netting & doing nothing to ease it's misery. They've been alerted from multiple sources one gentleman as well as others physically gone there begging for them to help the bird ALL to no avail with trivial excuses. They mention electrics However they're encased in metal tubes, How hard is it to turn a few lights off for a few minutes. They have their own cherry picker.

I would give this train station 5 out of 5 stars. However it gets 4 stars. It is a great train station, however I am disappointed. Unlike for David Liam Marshall, i have asked the staff plenty of times to run a mile for me, and they never do, they just give me confused looking facial expressions but they don't move their legs.

5+ stars for Gary, who went way beyond and reunited my daughter with her treasured soft toys and Harry Potter backpack after they were left on the train in Carlisle. He went so far as to even meet us on the train on our return journey to hand them back. Gary you are a total legend! Thank you.

Had a lovely afternoon wandering around and taking in all of the well looked after exhibits Friendly local volunteers on hand with lots of knowledge too. The Cafe however, is presently not operating but you can get something to eat and drink in the Town just a few minutes walk away. We frequented the Leyland Market Cafe, a surprisingly upmarket eatery with a very good menu

Great little museum with very friendly folks to talk to about the exhibits. Also we had contacted in advance to ask for advice about parking our 7.5m motorhome and they very kindly coned off an area of their car park just for us.

Great museum small but shows so many different variations of British trucks and buses. With lots of information boards explaining the history. Well worth a visit.

Researched on TripAdvisor first, saw reviews about being small but thought we would still try it as we were in the area. We were stood outside and felt it didn't look much from outside but luckily we still decided to go in. We were very surprised. There is parking outside the door, wheelchair accessible and easy to get to off the M6, and surprisingly quick from North Greater Manchester etc The museum is all on a ground floor too. It is a Lovely, very well presented museum, with very knowledgeable volunteers who some have worked within the industry. All vehicles are in very good working condition and were upkept throughout our visit lots of times to an immaculate condition. It is £10 for adults, free under 4. Lots of interactive exhibits and able to go on 6 of the vehicles which my little girl loved. Great to see how well they have all been reconditioned. They have squeezed in a selection of the most amazing vehicles with lots of good information. A fascinating trip back in time through British HGV and bus history. A wide spread of stuff from traction engines to the armoured Pope mobile. plenty of stuff to stir memories, but still child friendly too. They even have a corner for younger children with some interactive games and a littleride on car. Very entertaining and interesting place. Well worth a visit. Absolutely worth a visit if you hold an interest in transport and are in the area. Plenty to keep the kids interested too. Lovely afternoon spent learning the story of Leyland and seeing all the wonderful history. Highly recommended

It's a small museum, expected to spend here about 45 minutes, definitely no more than an hour. But it's about quality rather than quantity. I even enjoyed it more than the Manchester bus museum. In Leyland, expect to see buses, trucks, even a pope mobile. You can enter some vehicles. Most of them are diverse and different, so it's not like you will be see a variation of a single vehicle. I had that feeling in Manchester. Definitely recommended.

Lovely place to take a 2 year old vehicle enthusiast. £10 adults, free under 4. Lots of interactive exhibits and able to go on 6 of the vehicles. Lots of hand sanitiser available. Great to see how well they have been reconditioned.

A museum I've wanted to visit for years so finally got the chance.Nice variety of vehicle types all connected to the town and local area.Not too big but not too crowded either so easy to get round.Definitely worth the visit👍👍

Well thought it was just a museum but it was better than expected. The amount of information that each exhibit had was excellent. Cafe was open and staff friendly. Can understand why staff are proud of the heritage that Leyland brought to the world.

Great place for any car fanatic. The exposition is full of cool, old vehicles with great history. Fun for adults and kids. All models are well kept and maintained.

Such an interesting museum covering a wide range of British vehicles. Well laid out and informative. Covering everything from ice cream vans to Papal Transport!…information boards to read and interactive exhibits for the younger generation. Staff and friendly and helpful. Café on-site with possibly the largest menu options I have ever seen in a cafe!!…toilets including disability toilets available. Some of the lorries you can get on and sit in and they are all kept to the highest standard - gleaming polish and brass work…a credit to the staff. Limited car parking spaces outside museum - disability access throughout and parking spaces available for disabled use

What a Gem of a place extremely good value for money, we spent 3hrs here looking around all sorts of old cars, bus, trucks even old ambulances. When finished we sat and had coffee and tea in there cafe extremely lovely day out .

This was a last minute trip, where to go on a wet Thursday not to far from Manchester. My nephew likes transport museums so we gave it a go. We'll what a find. 5 mins of the motorway. Friendly staff, lots of exhibits with interesting information. More information than Silverstone we recently visited. The information was interactive easy to use. Volunteers around with plenty of knowledge willing to share, but not in a pain way. Had to visit the cafe. Another great find. For a cafe the menu was more varied than a lot of 'trendy' restsurants.. All freshly cooked. We loved it. Toilets clean all areas clean. A great find, we will be going back .

We love this place! And it’s just a stones throw away from us. 🙌🏼 There is a cafe on site, we always go to it after mooching around the museum! They have some great choices on the menu, and are also super kid friendly with toys/ colouring supplies etc. My boys love it here especially the vehicle hunts/maps! There is quite a bit to see and each vehicle has lots of information regarding the brand, manufacturer size etc, and of when they where made and what was happening within that time frame. A few vehicles you can go inside and sit in the drivers seats etc, which is fab. All the vehicles are beautifully looked after, and all the staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable! 😻 it’s a great place to visit! And it’s right on our door step! 🥰

The worst attitude received from a security guard. Asked for directions to Level accessible by wheelchair while the entrance inside guild hall was closed. The man was extremely rude and unhelpful. Called level themselves to be told how to get there and tried to let the security guy know for future reference to be sneered and shrugged at and talked down to.

I went to a 'Shout!' Business Expo event here on Friday 25th March 2022. I must say, the event was exceptionally well organised inside the historic and spacious surroundings. The event was a superb opportunity for businesses and individuals to network. Good on site toilets, excellent eating facilities and nice central location in Preston.

Taking the grandkids to lasertag whilst we babysit and watch them does not sound that entertaining but the staff and venue was really good. The grandkids loved it so everybody had a good time !

Went to see the spectacular Preston college dance performance over two nights. Great venue and should be used more.

A nice little venue, we watched the world grand prix snooker, though we was at the back, because the venue was small we could see what was going on clearly. Good atmosphere, when you go to a snooker game, prepare to have sore hands from all the clapping. Be prepared for the price of the drinks £4.90 for a peronni, ouch.

Needs to bring in people to the city with decent entertainment

Fab night, I got discounted tickets, but the seats were still good and we were sat altogether. We were impressed with the show (Aladdin), the kids enjoyed it ranging from the little one who was five and the big one who was 12, they got to meet and greet with the actors afterwards which was good 😊 think we will be going to pantomimes at the guild hall every year from now on 😊

Easy to park. Covered walkway which is good in poor weather. Better size than some of the huge arenas for watching bands etc.

Used to be good but know in need of a overhaul Bowling lanes to greasy with fresh oils...and do not actually work as they should.. slight bend etc.. nothing like it!! Spin doesn't work.. abysmal. But I did get a transfer but no offer of a refund wth?? Shuffleboard completely knackered 4 bits missing on 1 table!! Don't slide 1 end but do the other wth? Staff stood about chatting behind the bar. Wet bar. Just not good enough by far Go to flowerbowl instead!!! Really dissatisfied and it's ashame as it was once ace!!!! Messy areas.. teens smoking weed outside every night which isn't there fault but very intimidating to be near... outsidecares full of chewing gum on floor outside. .... They need to upgrade certain areas and until they do I will not be returning anytime soon. Shame really .. it's needs to be much better in many ways. P.s the lanes really didn't work.. I saw a semi pro player using massive spin but it went straight and he was not happy!!!! Like any business they need to keep on top of things Staff training is a must. Arms folded On phones Etc etc

I took my 13 year old son to watch Horrible Histories - Terrible Tudors here. Really enjoyed the show put on by 3 actors. The atmosphere was great and their story telling was brilliantly entertaining. Only downside was that it was very warm where we sat on the balcony. Also it would have worked out expensive for us to go as a family of 6.

Great day out for any young or old MX rider

Love the fact these guys have a kids track they have a great cafe and indoor area to eat and toilets that have loo roll for a Change!

Nice little museum, though looking tired and not updated, with missing exhibits and interactive elements not working. The manager of the museum was extremely blunt and rude on taking payment, then immediately slammed the door into his private office! Left alone for the whole time with not a soul around.

Lovely little place, lots to see, lots to learn, my kids loved it. Can be a bit of a pain finding somewhere to park at times, but don't let that put you off. The Museum is a fantastic little place

A lovely compact museum with lots of interesting educational information and a great selection of artifacts. Perfect for a child who is learning about Romans or had learnt about them. My 9 year old loved it. A wander to the Roman baths is also worth while, providing of course you've a good playful imagination!

Seems to be a lovely and informative museum. It is in need of support and attention via visitors and donations. If you do visit and happen to be there at the same time as a school visit. Turn around and come at a different time. Unfortunately it seems that school children are no longer under control of their teachers. They have absolutely no respect for the environment they are in. Running around playing with objects hundreds of years old. There was one young lady who had the manners to apologise for her literally screaming classmates. Schools should have this education but not when they are physically unable to control themselves or appreciate their surroundings. We left half way through the museum because of this.

Really well laid out and thorough museum. Well worth the money and journey. Lovely staff.

Really interesting little museum, it is really small but for a few pounds entry fee it is totally worth it, lots of information and a fair amount of artifacts, the kids quiz helps keep them interested and if the weathers good the bath house ruins are just around the corner.

Small and interesting little museum. Not to expensive. Children can take part in a quiz seeking out the answers from the display. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice walk by the river and the roman baths remains as a short distance from the museum. All wheelchair accessible. Parking in the chuch car park which they ask for a donation in the honesty box

Visited Ribchester midweek in February and decided not to go into the museum because of the price. We are pensioners and would gladly have voluntarily contributed a couple of pounds, however, we visited the Roman Baths instead for free. We also spent a couple of interesting hours strolling round the town culminating in an excellent meal at the Potters Barn adjacent to the very reasonably priced car park.

Despite its' small size, the museum is well worth a visit if you are interested in history / Roman Britain. Friendly, helpful staff are available should you have any questions, and the Roman finds in the museum are supplemented by actual (outdoor) remains of the Roman presence in Ribchester (the Roman Fort Granaries, plus a Roman Bath House nearby). The admission fee is a nominal £4.0 for Adults (March 2022), and there are toilets here - but no refreshments (- there are pubs with grub nearby).

What a fascinating exhibit. The staff were very knowledgeable, well laid out. It is worth the walk to see the Roman bath houses too.

Please do come and visit this lovely little museum to help support its existence. The volunteer running the museum was very friendly and informative. Nice interesting pieces of history with lots of interesting displays. Definitely worth a visit especially if you tie it in with the walk to the roman baths along the beautiful river ribble opposite.

Small but interesting museum. Very friendly staff our 9 and 6 year old boys enjoyed trying on some armour and the crafty activities.

Brilliant little museum full of great artifacts found in the local area. Quite immersive and great for kids and adults. Cheap entry and close by (walking distance) to 2 Roman ruins (Bath house and Granary).

Not in bad little shopping centre all things considered. They had kindly put out a throne for my visit which I thought was a nice touch of class other shopping centres could learn from. Yes, I am talking to you Houndshill.

Very modern, cool and airy to shop, not many retail shops but there are at least three places to eat and drink. The one in the centre over looking the lower floor is particularly nice with a good menu choice albeit the service a bit slow if you're in a rush. Seats very comfortable though, part dining and part coffee style. Staff very responsive and you feel welcome. Cleaned regularly. The others are a well known coffee shop and fast food restaurant, both very popular in this location, adjacent to the railway station.

Not a very bad place to be, plenty of shops on offer, has a Costa fortune on the ground floor in the centre of the building! 3 different entrances with parking included in the multi story car park above the complex. Security on site

Fantastic place, shop till you drop, lots of shops and plenty more in the precincts. So much to choose from, everywhere is very clean. A pleasure to visit.

With a diverse range of stores, easy navigation, and vibrant atmosphere, it's a must-visit for all shoppers. Despite a few minor drawbacks, it's a top-notch retail destination. Don't miss out!

Big car park, unfortunately it's not a free one but not too expensive. The centre is clean. Decent range of shops

I've been going here off and on for thirty years. It's still OK, been a lot of changes naturally. I do like that there's a Rolex outlet opposite the main entrance. I'll have to save up.

So many shops in thus mini centre. Very well presented, it was clean and easy to navigate. There weren’t that many exits or toilets but there was a nice mix of shops that weren't bearded up and closed down like many otger shopping centres. I didn't see that many shopping centre staff members around. The shop keepers were nice and friendly.

Covenient car park for the town centre and train station. Reads your number plate and has an option to pay by phone app and after exit within a few hours (24 I think). Cheaper than the station car park for a days parking. Open space with relatively good size bays.

First time visiting and i was so happy that the stores are all the ones i like. centre is not massive however can get everything you need. The McDonald's was actually the best EVER and that is worth shouting about as they are usually terrible. Primark was huge, so yes well worth a visit if you are local or fancy a trip out .

There is something for everyone at Fishergate Shopping Centre, from high-end fashion brands to budget-friendly stores. I was able to find everything I was looking for, and more! The shopping centre is located right in the heart of Preston, so it is easy to get to by train or car. There is also plenty of parking available. The shopping centre is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are plenty of things to keep children entertained at Fishergate Shopping Centre, such as regular free events.

It always seems empty when I go in, I know that isn't a bad thing, I think a lot of people use it more as a cut through from the train station or car park rather than to shop, it always looks very clean and well looked after.

Car park used to be simple, drive in get a token and pay on way out for the time you have used. Now they have removed the tokens and now you have to pay at a machine and decide how much time you'll need before you go shopping. Problem with that is there are only 2 pay machines and the queues are ridiculous, well done the the brain box who decided to change the system that worked

Followed the signs for parking at the fishergate carpark opposite the train station, later received a fine in the post, saying I'd driven in bus lane? The same lane it sends you to use the carpark, Ridiculous!

Nice stadium in nice surroundings. Relatively easily accessible for away fans too. Deserve at least one season in the premier League

Deepdale Stadium in Preston offers a fantastic football experience. Well-maintained facilities, great seating, friendly staff, and convenient parking make it a top-notch venue. Highly recommended for any football fan!

Good atmosphere, decent ticket prices, friendly staff. Food inside isn't great but reasonably priced (coffee and a pie was less than £5); but the vans outside are extortionate (£6 for a cheeseburger - and you know the type).

Travelled as an away Leeds fan. Deepdale is a good venue as they allow a good allocation of away fans, and it's pretty easy to out sing the home support. Bars sold beer and food at usual stadium prices, but not overly expensive. Toilet facilities are good. Stewarding was excellent. Never had a problem with fan trouble or parking. This time, I arrived on a supporters' coach, which parks right next to the away entrance.

It's a really nice stadium with very good views from every seat. There isn't a bad view anywhere. Ticket prices are reasonable and availability is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food prices aren't the cheapest, but not the most expensive. You'll have a great time if you take in a Preston North End match here at Deepdale (the game pictured was the Carabao Cup match vs Liverpool, it finished 0-2 to the visitors).

Great venue, used it for two events now and will look forward to going back.

Great stadium. Easy to get to, Parking is free if you know where to go. Staff friendly. Seating fine even for a lanky bloke of 6ft 6! Really love this stadium!

Really like Deepdale. Love the symmetrical 4 stands rather than just turning the ground into a bowel. Good concourse and great view in the away end behind the goal. Take care as the stands are much steeper than most grounds with rather large steps. Best footy pie I have ever had mind! The Butter Pie - Unbelievable! Local Social/Working Men's Club which is great. Also not far from the Centre where there are pubs, a spoons and the train station

Argyle on tour!! It's a smart stadium with a 20 minutes walk from the centre. Quite elaborate and over complicated structures for the floodlights, unlike, for instance, the very smart Bolton stadium. The concourse is excellent, plenty of room, and even with nearly 3k Argyle fans, the speed of service was good, and the queues minimal. Stewards were totally chilled out, but then, there weren't any problems. We outsang the Preston fans who were strangely silent for a good deal of the match. Tannoy was good and stadium has a good feel to it. Sadly, we gave them a goal in the first minute and although we outplayed them with 65% possession we lost 2 - 1....so annoying because we deserved a draw. A great exciting game of football though!

Came here to See Sheffield Wednesday FC on a wet and chilly Friday night.Straight off the motorway and straight in our allocated- pre booked parking spot👍.Plenty of places to buy food and drinks from outside the impressive ground.Asked one of the friendly stewards if we could go into the bar/toilets,unfortunately away supporters cannot he explained politely ( don't see that at Hillsborough in the fan zone)👎. The refreshment outlets within the ground are ok.The ground is quite impressive.Very very steep away end seating area. Generally a good experience at Deepdale Stadium 👍.

Absolutely loved attending yesterday's match against Cardiff, it was an amazing experience although slightly disappointing end result.

Went here for the Preston v Blackburn game, the first time I've been to watch Preston. Had a walk around Moor Park over the road from the ground beforehand which is lovely. Outside of the ground was clean and looked well kept. The staff in the club shop and ticket office where friendly and inviting. Had a drink in the Gentry bar attached to the ground which had a great atmosphere and the beer was good. Easy access to get inside the stadium. Enjoyed a pint and a bite on the concourse which again was tidy and food/drink was enjoyable, again great staff. Match was great and inside the stadium is really open so good views from everywhere. Had a great time and will come back soon
