The only good part about this hostel is the location. I've stayed at plenty of backpackers hostels, and all of them had a kitchen and a lounge; this one had neither. During my three night stay, I don't think the men's washroom was cleaned once; the soap dispenser for the one sink was never refilled. Two of the three showers in the men's room had frosted glass doors, so you could see the outline of whoever was using it. One of the showers was completely transparent; none of them had hooks to hang your clothing.
While checking in, there was a delivery driver trying to deliver a package. The manager made no attempt to try to let him in; she instead was talking to us. I could see that he had a high visibility vest on and was carrying a package, so I went to let him in. The manager got extremely mad at me for this, telling me that he could have a knife or be a creep, etc., and then let him in anyway. The manager was incredibly rude. From the moment we checked in, she was picking on me, saying unkind things and being rude to me. This continued throughout our stay until the moment we checked out. She also didn't program my partner's keycard when we checked in, and after our first night my card stopped working, so it had to be reprogrammed.
The hostel preaches about safety, but clearly marks where the all-female dorm is, which led to a man trying to get into them during my stay. There was also a woman doing drugs in the washroom during the night when my partner went there; the women's washroom door also does not properly close. Reception is unmanned from 10pm-7am, so there's no staff on site to deal with any incidents.
The bunk beds are uncomfortable. You can feel the springs in the mattresses, and the ladder steps dig into your feet, so if you're on anything other than the bottom bunk, good luck. There's no outlet for each bunk, so if you need to charge your phone overnight you need to charge it at an outlet with everybody else's phone, and hope that no one steals it. The cages for luggage under the bed are too small to fit much into, and there were only two for our 3-bed-high bunk. The wifi doesn't work at all. The dorms look like they've never been cleaned. The floorboards haven't been mopped, and the cracks between the floorboards have never been vacuumed. During my last night, a person checked out of our room but the staff didn't bother to change the linens. Overall, it was a terrible, unsafe hostel, and I recommend to steer clear.
