Traveling to Hotel Punta in late July, our overall experience was a mix of positives and negatives. The hotel has some notable strengths, but there are also areas for improvement.
Starting with the positives, the rooms were very clean, and the staff, with the exception of management, were friendly and accommodating. The view from the hotel was exceptional, adding to the overall appeal of the stay. The breakfast offered was delightful, providing a great start to each day.
During check-out, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we were allowed to use the pool and shower facilities, which was a thoughtful touch, especially for those with later departures. The availability of free parking was appreciated, making it convenient for guests traveling with vehicles.
The bar and front desk staff were also friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The shuttle service provided by the hotel was a huge convenience for getting around the area.
However, there were several areas that require improvement. The pool was in need of cleaning, and it seemed to have caused some concern, as there were suspicions of infection, though we can’t confirm this. It would be crucial for the hotel to address this issue promptly.
Another point of contention was the advertised fees, which claimed to cover all expenses but resulted in an additional 10 euro fee. This discrepancy should be clarified to avoid any confusion and dissatisfaction among guests.
The lack of WiFi in rooms was inconvenient for those who needed a reliable internet connection during their stay. Adding WiFi access in rooms would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
Furthermore, charging ports near the beds were absent, which can be considered an essential amenity for modern travelers who rely on their electronic devices.
One concerning issue was the presence of ants in the rooms. This is a problem that should be urgently addressed by the hotel management to ensure a comfortable and pest-free environment for guests.
Finally, the friendliness of the management was a significant letdown, and it had a negative impact on the overall impression of the hotel. Improving their approachability and responsiveness would go a long way in enhancing guest satisfaction.
While the hotel had some notable strengths, such as cleanliness, friendly staff, and breathtaking views, the issues with the pool, fees, WiFi, charging ports, ants, and management’s attitude should be addressed to justify the high cost of the stay.
