I have visited Baltic Beach Hotel & SPA with spouse during winter holidays for one night.
I need to admit that SPA complex is amazing, really, one of the best I have visited. Complex include really hot sauna, one warm sauna and one Rome-like sauna, swimming pool with sea water, jacuzzi, pool with water massagers.
SPA zone visit allowance is 2 hours, what is pretty sufficient IMHO, but none really controls it, so I assume you can stay longer.
Everything that is required for SPA visit will be provided to you.
So SPA is totally worth it!
Besides SPA, unfortunately, there is no advantages.
In the evening we visited "il Sol" restaurant, kitchen is average, nothing very tasty, but also nothing bad. The only concern I would say were antipasti, that differed from the menu, and tasted below average. Soups were good, especially soup with a seafood. Pizza was ok. Pasta with seafood was good. So as you can see, looks like seafood is their main course.
Breakfast was also average, nothing special, the only surprise was no fresh juice was provided.
Regarding rooms, rooms are comfortable, but requires, at least, cosmetic renewal. For my taste rooms require also redesign, to meet new and modern trends, since now they look too post-soviet (but it is only to my taste). I have stayed in Premium Lux room, not sure how things are in different suits.
The last one and unfortunately the worst - is service.. While everything started really good: check-in went smooth and fast, guy in SPA friendly explained me everything, then I encountered real Soviet atmosphere of service: during visit of restaurant waited 5 minutes in doors while headwaiter will attend reception, after she came things did not got better, despite her deeply tired and hating sight, her speech was changing from a being rude to being completely familiarly, but I was relaxed after SPA, so ignored her. The checkout was a comedy itself, the procedure was standard, they asked if I used mini bar (I did not), but then they asked to wait, and in front of me asked cleaning stuff to check it. That's was simply lol. After approx. 10 minutes, check was done, and I was invited to finish check out, where I was informed of absence of chips. I do not know what they read in my eyes - deep irony or something else, but they simply told me, it is ok, maybe was taken before you, billed me I paid and left. What was it about? Funny. (To be completely honest I need to say that all stuff that was young were completely polite and warm welcoming, older stuff wad more rude and unprofessional).
So to sum up: if you want great SPA with the nostalgia for Soviet service this hotel is for you. For sure it is not 5 stars hotel.
