This has got to be one of the most comfortable hotels I've visited. This hotel is completely encircled by abundant green areas. The minute you exit the lobby or walk into the pool area, you can't help feeling that you are taking a stroll in a beautiful park, hence the name Parkview hotel.
It appears that the hotel was completely renovated not so long ago, and they have gone to great lengths to ensure that every little detail in every part of this hotel is exquisite. The hotel building has 16 floors, with 4 large elevators. The view we had from our 16 room floor was breathtaking. It's possible to see the coastline, and a large part of the city. Rooms are extremely spacious, with modernly furnished living room (Flat panel TV, fridge, bar, table for 4 people, large sofa and 2 loveseats that can easily accommodate 6 guests. Fully fledged washroom with LED illuminated mirrors, And three separate sections: Enclosed toilet, handwash and makeup area, and bath+shower section. As is customary in most hotels in Asia, the toilet was super advanced. The toilet cover is automatic and it'll open when it detects motion inside. It'll also start a cleaning cycle and I suspect UV disinfection :) Heated seat, and even a wall mounted control panel to have access to all wash options (Chinese/Japanese only, but plenty of visuals make it self explanatory).
The sink also has an LED illuminated mirror and is quite spacious, with a make up section with another mirror and a stool (wives will love this). The shower section is separate from the bathtub, both are ample and modern and make you feel at home while away from home.
The sleeping room area was extremely spacious, with a another flat panel TV, and lots of perks when it comes to lighting options, everything controlable from either side's nightstand. The bed was remarkably confortable, and makes for a pleasurable rest. Our room had a smaller table with two more loveseats next to the bedroom window, which by the way, makes up the length of the bedroom and living room, ideal for enjoying a glass of wine or a cold beer while enjoying the night view of the City.
Their restaurant is extremely confortable, and attendants rush to seat upon arrival. Dinner and breakfast have all you can eat buffets available, both filled with plenty of options,. including for for vegetarians. Honorable mentions for their smoked salmon and cheese variety. I loved their dessert bar, lots of little cakes and browny, plus several ice cream options including mango and lichi fruit flavour.
This hotel has a delightful indoor pool, which is heated (although the weather doesn't make it necessary), with a button controlled water jet section to activate showers and bubbles. It makes for a nice back or foot massage. The indoor pool area also includes a baby pool and a 5 lane semi Olympic swimming pool, with 2 lanes reserved for fast swimming.
The outdoor pool is big with at least 3 or 4 bridges, and inflatable kid toys available for rent. The weather here was so lovely we managed to swim in the outdoor pool even though it was raining at that time.
All in all, this hotel is highly recommended.
