My partner and I came in here for lunch after getting some turns in on some spring boarding before Aspen closing. This place is a gem, and please don’t let my actual review deter you from checking them
Out!
We were sat, and it seemed like we had a certain server but at the end of everything it was someone else, which made sense for all the neglect we experienced. A glass of Prosecco was lost lost in translation.
The lobster roll was bomb, except for the bite of shell that I lavishly bit into, Definitely wasn’t expecting that.
All that said, our actual waitress relayed our discrepancy and the restaurant graciously accommodated. Honestly I wasn’t expecting that, I know that things like this can happen. Definitely check them out!
We had an amazing dining experience at Clark’s! Oyster and seafood was not a top of mind option but such a great idea for dinner! We had a few more dishes than what is shown here. Everything was absolutely delicious and well presented. Servers were attentive, personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommended! Place was super busy so reservations is needed.
Highly recommend if you like seafood, oysters were excellent! Our server brought us a dozen of the most popular and they were all so fresh and delicious. Some reviews mentioned it was super loud but we dined earlier at like 5:30p and it was quite nice.
Being from Florida we are surrounded by oysters available mainly from east coast. We decided to try this place and learned there is a big difference in where the oysters come from. We ordered 2 of each location to try and even had a list given to us so we would know which was which. We enjoyed all of them but had our favorites! We didn't realize how different each tasted and really enjoyed ourselves. The server was exceptional as he explained the differences and even told us the house favorites for the day. I would recommend this place especially if you want to be daring and try oysters from East and West coasts! Thanks!
short story: stop in and enjoy a happy hour, lunch or apres
happy hour makes me happy, that is all I can speak this day.
ambiance: so chill and lovely
cocktails: Clark's crush. a balanced spritz. mint on the nose introduces you to a lightly herbal front with a touch of citrus on the back that lingers and a gentle sweetness that holds it together. bubbles, my friends are just the springiest.
oysters:
Conway royal, PEI: perfectly balanced and well met by the mignonette. wel paired with the cocktail
Barron point, Wa: not plump, not sweet, definitely low brine, and definitely high musk. definitely into the realm of funk.
burger: perfectly cooked, cheese a little light, fresh dill pickles a nice touch, ability was broken but well flavored, with a bun that was just toasted enough. I loved the just larger than slider portion.
frites: perfectly cooked, delicately julienned, nice garlic, lost rosemary, undersalted. An overall winner
