A lot of fun in the middle of nowhere 😍❤️ the staff is very friendly, lovely and helpful. The view is just perfect. There are shuttles to the city center few times a day. Perfect place for families and romantic as well for couples 😍 the breakfasts are surprising. highly recommended 🌺

Large night market that are meant for tourists. It’s good to spend some time with family and friends to explore more other than Hotel’s dining, pool, and beaches.

Large market for tourists, if its wet there will be a lot of puddles to dodge, some good street food at one end and it's very reasonably priced. I've found the market stalls to be more expensive than other markets so its a good idea to get a gauge of prices of things before you go, start lower than you want to pay.

Hot day but plenty of selction to choose from.. spot we went to was an amazing little family run set up. Ribs and prawns were banging. Sweetcprn ehhhhh and the spiral crisps but service faultless and they had FANS 😅

First, second, third time, and so on... on this market you'll get a lot of different food, amazing stores with clothes and jewelery, sunglasses, live performances and happy people all around you. This is one of the holiday main parts... thanks to have a market like this.

This is the best market to visit in Khao Lak as it's also the most convenient. There are over 100 stalls here making the experience great! The market sells all sorts of Thai souvenirs, snacks, knock-offs, clothes, herbs & spices, food and drinks. Towards the main road entrance, there are many Thai BBQ stalls, bar stalls and Thai Food stalls. The Bang Niang Market only opens on Mon, Wed, Thurs & Sat from 4.00 pm to about 11.00pm.

Great experience, make sure to walk around. Most of the clothing shops have similar items, so don't be afraid to bargin and stick to your guns. The people are incredibly friendly and the food culture is vast. Ask before taking photos as some stalls charge a fee.

A nice albeit tourist oriented market. You'll find a lot of cheap clothes, knock-offs and plastic toys here but also some local craft. The food is perhaps the highlight of the market with a wide variety of foods to chose from. The market doesn't open until late afternoon. The occasional shower can be waited out with a cold drink. Expect a lot of haggling. At the time of this review the market is still recovering from the pandemic and perhaps 1/3 of the stalls are still closed but it is still a good sized market.

The Bang Niang Market is Located at Main Khao Lak Road which is Approximately 3 Km from the Sands Resort and X10 Resort Khao Lak. Its located at Main Road near Traffic Signal. There are lots of Shops and Food Shops. You can find Copy Branded Purses and clothes. There are lots of other shops also there for souvenirs. This place have few thai restaurants and bars also with money exchange and seven eleven also at main road. If you are planning to go khaolak you can go there but make sure this market is open twice or thrice in week which is monday and others day in week. Thanks

It was surprising the size of this market and variety of goods available. I did all my shopping here to take gifts home from my holiday. Great range of food as well so you can replenish to keep shopping.

The market was fun. You can discuss the price,.but keep in mind that the people there are small business owners aswell. If you find the price of a certain brand too pricey there...then go to the shop that specializes in that brand.

If you are going on holiday to khao lak area in Thailand for your holiday, this market is just brilliant, lots of bargains on clothes and accessories with trade names at very competitive prices. Definitely worth a visit and make sure that haggle prices being offered, you will get it even cheaper. Lots to see, buy and taste of real Thai food, you won’t be disappointed

Lovely market to pick up some souvenirs, very touristy but you come for that at the end of the day. If you want handbags,there's a lovely lady right at the bottom middle row towards the tattoo place. The others open up at like 1800 baht for a tiny handbag, whereas for an identical one from her was around 800 to 1000 depending, she just gives you the best price straight away, just do me a favour, please don't barter her to save yourself 100 baht, she's not taking the mick, we walked away with 5 bags and paid what she asked. Also for a drink definitely hit Am's Bar. So friendly and the drinks are deceptively strong, definitely knock back a b52 before heading home. Don't buy from the first stall you see, check other prices, what's 350 in one stall is 100 the next stall down. Some of them barter, others just give you their best price straight away, we exclusively bought from the latter stores just for the genuineness of the sellers. Oh and pork... so much damn tasty pork

Big market but mostly selling exactly the same tourist tat and knock off clothing at high prices, the food bit is extensive but more expensive than walking up the main road away from tourist prices, nice to wander round though

Nice market for tourists. We've been there around 14 o clock where most of the shops just opened but it was calm. Bought some souvenirs for friends at home. They have kind of everything, shirts, spices, jewelery,... Food wise a bit more expensive (most of the time no price sheet) but the food was good. Coconut for 40 bhat. The market was close to our hotel in 30 min walking distance at the beach, it was a nice trip incl. a visit at the tsunami boat.

Bang Niang market is open only on certain days of the week. It has many souvenirs stalls and food stalls. Most of them are selling the same items - clothings, spices, souvenirs and such which you can find in markets all over Thailand. Some food stalls sell insects if you are game to try and also cannabis. Go visit if you have extra time.

Famous market has it all. Great food and ok prices for tourists many selections. Cocktails and beers all available. There is the mojito man very good mojito only 60 baht. Lots of clothes,watches ,hats and other stuff at really good prices also don't forget to bargain with them even 50 bht down. There is a massage shop also if you are tired

The park itself is very accessible by the main road. The price is indeed 10 fold for tourists but I found it well okay, it still works out at £5 per adult and our 4 year old didn't pay. The first area you can access is 5 mn walk down the beach and gives you access to a sandy beach for a good scenery. Then the rest (whichever way you chose) I would classify as a proper Trek. With our son it was really a hard one and took about 1h30 to reach the beach at the south of the park. I wish this was made clearer to tourists as I expected at least one path to be easy and the other (the waterfall) to be hard .

This national park is just gorgeous! Khao Lak beach, campground, restaurant, amazing views & a steep & narrow nature trail that leads to Small Sandy Beach. Highly recommend!

I don’t think 100 baht entrance fee is a deal breaker. Did enjoy the trail, very quiet and the scenery was amazing. You can access the small sandy beach at the end of the trail as a reward. However, for people looking for the water fall, it is at an entirely different place far from here (Tong Chong Fa), about 10 km away, but accessible with the same ticket. The water fall is a little tricky, there are 5 levels in total, but only the first 3 levels were marked. If you are adventurous and willing to go off trail, then feel free to take the challenge. I didn’t because it was already 5:30pm and sky was getting dark, and still didn’t find level 4 10 minutes after passing level 3.

The wife and I visited the park in the afternoon. Entrance was 100 Bhat per person and 20 Bhat for our bike. We were given a route map and set off on one of the trails to the small beach. The trails were well groomed for the most part, and you had some amazing lookout points for pictures. It was very welcoming to come to the small sandy beach and jump in the sea to cool off. It was an added touch that they have a nice restaurant there where we got a nice cold, coconut, and relaxed in the shade. A great way to spend a few hours with nature.

Bring water and wear good shoes. Be careful when it rains the stone becomes slippery and watch out some plants have thorns. Don't grab anything for support without checking!

This National Park has the beautiful Hat Lek Nature Trail which is amazing. The nature trail runs along the coast and ends up at the Small Sandy Beach (Hat Lek Beach). The narrow jungle path requires a good physical condition and is unsuitable for small children. We recommend wearing proper shoes, not flip flops as you will walk and climb on different surfaces as the path rises and falls along the cliffs. You will be rewarded regularly with beautiful sea views. As the nature trail is in the National Park, it is well maintained and you will not see any litter. The staff will provide a map for you which indicates points of special interest to spot along the trail. There is parking at the visitor centre. Entrance fee THB100 which also includes Ton Chong Fa waterfall on the same day.

Peaceful space. Good camping ground. There was a toilet next to the camping ground. But we didn’t get to the camping ground because we arrived very late in the evening. If you want, it’s less than 5mins walking distance from a parking lot. Very humidity, should prepare a nice ground sheet for tent ⛺️ and a fan for inside the tent. Then wake up to nice beautiful view 💕💕💕

This is one of the best spots in Khao Lak! If you love the nature and moderate hikes this is the place you must visit. Don't miss the fish spa in the first natural pool!

Almost 20 years today, the destructive tsunami of 2014 that swept through Thailand made an impact on this small Ban Nam Khem village. Today the village housed the memorial of those perished on that faithful day. Nice beach, a restaurant and massage services for those who wished to relax by the beach.

Glad I went to visit as I think it is important to remember and acknowledge the devastation the 2004 Tsunami caused across Southeast Asia, Sri Lanka and India. The memorial is a bit run down which made me sad. A number of the plaques with people's names are faded and there were line needles collecting on them. Still glad I went to visit.

A good place to visit to learn about the devastation of the 2004 Tsunami. Bamn Nam Khem was one of the most damaged areas of the provinces. The location is beautiful and you can see the Buddha image, the curved wall representing theTsunami and the wall with tiles bearing the names of all those who perished.

This is set in a beautiful location and is a sombre reminder of what happened there if you are in the area please take the time to visit and pay your respects

Beautiful beach and sad memorial. Plaques for people from all over the world. When I saw how young some of them were I admit that I cried for a bit. Hard to believe it's been 20 years. The park is not well maintained but it's Thailand.

Koh Kho Khao is small 16 km long island situated approximately 1 km off the mainland 20 minutes north of the popular seaside resort community of Khao Lak and only 1 hour and 30 minutes from Phuket international airport. The island is lined with pristine beaches of classic beauty that are so good it is often referred to as the best kept secret in Khao Lak. Just a ten minute boat ride from the Takua Pa area of Phang Nga province, Kho Kho Khao doesn’t look very different from the mainland. The island has been especially popular with Scandinavians and Germans (many who come every year as their holiday destination of choice) however, Koh Koh Khao is increasing in popularity and growing significantly on the tourism radar. If you are so inclined stop by and check out (or google) Sunee restaurant which is a small family run place with in my opinion some of the best Thai food at the best prices on the island. Nice beach, my caution to others is the quantity of shells and corals to dodge on much of the beach itself and as you are entering the ocean. There seems to be a meter wide area full of hard corals that your poor feet need to dodge. And today we saw a jellyfish washed on shore. One of the less busy beaches in Khao Lak, Bang Sak is popular with the locals who come here to chill and relax. Occasionally, you will see some western tourists who end up here on their rented motorbikes. The beach is peaceful without all those tourist deckchairs and umbrellas, which is what a beach should look like. Across the road is the super-famous Garang Cafe, a local Thai brand with a surf-skate theme. There's awesome ice cream served here.

The beach is very local, full of restaurants and bars along the Long Beach. They put some straw mat in the woods and serve drinks and foods, you can use their toilet. Very peaceful place, and the sunset is stunning!!!

The beach is white sand, clean and quiet. We found many seafood restaurants along beach road, price is common. You can relax under the blue sky, sunshine, eat and sleep the whole day as you desire. It is located north of "Khao lak" area, Takua Pa district. The name of this sea is “Andaman”, it is part of the Indian ocean.

Will need transport to this tranquil and lovely beach. Endless stretch of white sand.and rolling waves. Go towards the end near Sentido Resort where it is really quiet. You can also walk all the way to Ban Thap Tawan Beach

Lovely bungalows, very clean and plenty of room. The resort is directly on the beach, and good for walking. Set in a lovely tropical setting, the gardens are immaculate . Just the place to relax and chill, definitely recommended. Glad we chose this one as the sister resort along the road is very near a small smelly river.

I made a slight error when booking, booking here rather than a resort down the road with a very similar name. Our room was one that looked straight out onto the beach so the view was spectacular. The room was basic but just what we needed for the week. Initially, the staff reception was luke-warm at best but as the week went on, they gradually became more friendly and open. There was a buggy, but we were never sure of if or when it was ever in use. Inside the room, the shower ranged between either very hot or very cold with little in between. The kettle was highly temperamental and my back was starting to struggle with the mattress. The facilities are definitely starting to show their age but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Spent four nights here with my family. Staff is very friendly, rooms are very clean and well maintained, and it is an easy location from which to organize day trips and rent motos to explore the region’s beaches, waterfalls, and parks.
