I know it's considered touristy but what a great collection of cool cafes and bars. At night it looks amazing. Definitely recommend Red Bar for their cool custom made cocktails

Had this saved as a place to go but it was so unassuming walking by we almost missed it. A little oasis with outdoor bars and restaurants, coffee,and some shopping. Very cute for strolling around or to grab a bite to eat!

Patio Bellavista is a really fun place to visit in Santiago! There are a lot of fantastic places in which you can grab a cold beverage and great food. It is located in a safe part of town and always seems to have a lot of people and activity. I really enjoy visiting Patio Bellavista and always make sure to visit when I'm Santiago. Fun!

Large restaurant and bar complex in the Barrio Bella Vista. Very lively with copious options for drinks and dinner, but not too loud, and it seemed very friendly and safe.

Really cool open air (hence the name "Patio") collection of bars and restaurant, which would be unfair to call "food court" as each and every one has a distinct personality and they are not fast food chain restaurants. It is a bit pricier than fast food, but also much better quality and service, and the space is really nice. There are also stores, mostly of handicraft, also all independent. Well worth a visit and a stop for a drink, for lunch or for dinner.

This is a unique place to visit for dining in Santiago. Every restaurant and shop is unique, and there is a wide variety of offerings to choose from. We went for a light lunch, but I understand that it gets very busy in the evening and nighttime.

Good place with a variety of food. There are individual restaurants and food courts. Snack corners and drinks corners. Open concepts and fun atmosphere.

Great place to go buy souvenirs. There are jewelery and handicraft shops dotted around the restaurants and the bars. It feels very safe as there are security guards patrolling the entrances so you don't have to worry so much about your valuables.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. This area is a must-see when in the Bellavista area. It has an array of restaurants with different cuisines as well as local shops offering quality Chilean products. It’s a great place to chill and hang out with friends. I saw both locals and tourists enjoying their day over lunch here. I grabbed lunch here and enjoyed the seafood. I then went on to shop some Christmas gifts for family - all in one area. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend it for a visit.

Contemporary modern and chic shopping mall.👍 Loads of eateries, pubs, lounges and restaurants to cater to all kinds of taste buds and age groups. Live music and cozy ambience all around makes you feel relaxed and in the mood to wine and dine. Its a tourist hot spot so crowded most of the times. I spent an entire afternoon here and it was well worth it. Enjoyed every bit from the food to the shops to the local culture. Neat and clean open areas with well maintained roof top gardens and public spaces. Tasty food. Reasonable prices. Helpful staff. Overall a memorable experience with my local friends!👌

Public park, safe with good views. We initially had problems finding the entrance, but a homeless man pointed us the right way, which to me says a lot about the area. Apparently this is where Valdivia founded/conquered Santiago five hundred years ago, and the park includes cannons, a fortress, and chapel among other sights.

Beautiful and serene park in the city well worth an hour’s leisure climb/hike. Amazing views at the top but do be very careful and tread carefully on the treacherously narrow steps; breathe-taking delightful corners to be found as you wonder about so it’s a very nice visit not to be missed.

What a beautiful, well-maintained park! Shady and cool in many places on a hot summer day. Lovely working fountains. The entrance is on the main boulevard, at the yellow buildings.

Adorable place, with such a good energy. The nature is gorgeous and it feels like you’re somewhere else than Santiago, it’s very peaceful, and offers different angles to the city. It’s a must to visit any day of the week!

A nice retreat in the city centre with quiet piazzas and lots of twisting paths up the rocks to explore. But it needs some tender loving care to fix the areas closed off as ‘dangerous’, to replace the missing paving stones, reopen the toilets and generally give it a tidy up.

An amazing landmark right in the center of downtown Santiago! Not only can you get amazing views of the skyline nearby (so close you can almost touch them) there is also some great history here. The included fort has some really cool architecture that is woven into the structure of the hill. Most tourists will be staying within walking distance of this spot and it is definitely worth taking an hour or two to explore it!

It's a beautiful park with beautiful landscaping and stunning views along and at the top after your ascend. It's also filled with dogs 🐕. But don't just look at the photos, cameras does these places, no justice. P.s. The higher you go, the steeper the stairs get, so avoid wearing bad shoes.

Enjoyed relaxed walk during the weekend, nice views to mountains, avoid the peak hours around noon and don’t forget your sun protection.

This is a lovely green space in a busy metropolis. You can access via the funicular, the cable car or smiply walk up the hill. The views are amazing, the city is so huge below you. Lovely play areas, historic buildings plus peace and quiet. Definitely worth a visit

Spend the day in the beautiful park and enjoy many moments 🙏 We took the cable car all the way from bottom to top. It was a very pleasant ride and great view of the city. The Virgin Mary is the perfect place to feel the culture and enjoy the beauty of Santiago.

The hill is a part of a huge park (free entrance) with gardens, playgrounds and bikeways. It’s a perfect place for outdoor activities such as jogging, cycling, or yoga, or just for a picnic with family and friends. Sunset yoga on the top level of the park is amazing! There are also cable cars available, the view in the morning is sooo lovely. Highly recommend to visit💙

Great overview over the city of Santiago. The funicular gives you the chance to see more of the hill’s natural flora and you can enjoy a breathtaking picture over the skycfapers of Chile’s capital on your way back to the base of the hill. Totally recommend it for a different experience in Santiago

Final cable car or fenicular back down is at 7:30pm. Get there with plenty of time because the staff are very unhelpful and can’t be bothered working close to the end of their shift. That aside - good views over the city

Amazing panoramic view of Santiago city in Chile from the top of San Cristobal Hill. The hill is located in northern Santiago, Chile. It rises 850 m AMSL and about 300 m above the rest of Santiago. Can travel to the summit by the funicular railway which is enjoyable way to ascend

The views of city are amazing from here. If you forget the painfully long queue to get on funicular to get to top, this is great place to see

I suggest riding one way with the cable car and the other way with the funicular. You get to experience both, see the views in a different way and their distance- puts you in different parts of the city. The funicular puts you near the Bella Vista neighborhood which has some great eateries and shopping. The experience to get the tickets was confusing, but once I got a hang of what to do- the process was easy. I recommend reserving ahead.

The best attraction in Santiago a clear must visit. The statue of st Mary is at the top at the end of the tram but the best picture spot is actually in the middle stopping point where you can get the postcard picture of the tram and a not too far away view of the sky costenera. Again a must visit!

Excellent shopping mall with many many store and fantastic restaurants. The tower is sure to bring you here, but the shopping center will keep you busy for an entire day. Everything was very well kept and easy to navigate with plenty of security and a wide selection of stores from top to bottom.

A great variety mall with everything you needed! A big place that you will get lost for sure but still shop and shop until you drop! The food court has great food there which we tried a noodle dish at Take a Wok restaurant and an American taste of Johnny Rocket’s burger and French fries. Wonderful food and experience and the price is great too!🥳

Multiple floors with a huge variety of stores and services. Only thing missing is a good variety of children stores - like apparels and toys (you should be able to find them at department stores though).

Very affordable. Do not miss an opportunity to see this place. We had a 7 hour layover & this was the one place we went to see with our young children. The children were all free. Staff & security is very friendly! And there’s a lovely bar/restaurant up the top. The views are unmatched, we got there at 6pm so we got the night time view. 100% recommend!

Sky Costanera was a simple but great experience, where you can have an amazing view of the whole city from the highest building in South America. At the top, there's a nice restaurant-bar to enjoy the local food and beers. Recommended!

This mall is located on the first 4 or 5 floors of the Costanera tower, which claims to be the tallest buildung in all of South America. The mall offers great shopping and was jam-packed with visitors. There was a long waiting line to the observation deck of the tower so we forewent it. Would like to visit the place again and spend more time there.

I loved the Costanera mall, my family and I really enjoyed it, there were many shops and restaurants in the mall, it was also very organized and clean, the employees were very friendly all the time. I would definitely buy and visit this place again when I return to Chile, 100% recommended for families, friends and couples.

If you wish to see Santiago from above, this is the place to visit. The views are stunning. The guide is excellent and well worth listening to. You will learn a lot from the guide about the tower and its build. You are free to take photographs and this is also well worth the trip. On the very top floor you are subject to the elements from above, but, still surrounded by glass. This is sometimes closed for safety reasons if it is too wet. You need not be concerned about earth quakes and tremors. The building is designed and built to withstand this to a very high level. This is a top notch tourist spot and I highly recommend it.

I visited Sky Costanera viewpoint for the second time and I certainly enjoyed it. First time was on winter time and at evening to get the perfect sunset and night view. Now, summer time and morning hours. Each season has its own charm for sure! So anytime is perfect. There are 2 levels from where you can get amazing 360° views of the city. Walk around or take a seat and just relax. There is also a cafe/bar if you fancy a drink. Prices are different during weekends. Highly recommended when in Santiago.

Excellent feeling inside big shopping mall of six floors under tallest building in South America. Almost all USA major consumer brands goods sellind inside..most is you fell safe walking inside.

The sky view is great. It gets very crowded especially for sunset time I would suggest arrive at least one hour before sunset to have time to clear the queue and find a good spot.

The place was packed with people but they do have nice restaurants and a lot of stores available with friendly staff

Everything is beautiful. The place offers an experience very cool. You can see the whole city in 360°. There, they have a guide that explains the history of like the Chile grew up and too details the places of Santiago city.

You can hardly feel the lift going up, and yet it's so fast! The views are spectacular. Well worth the visit. On the way down, you exit on a different floor than you entered, so you have a chance to have an official photo, buy souvenirs, and explore the big shopping mall attached to the Costanera.

It's definitely a must-go attraction in Santiago. You get to know the city from above before actually going to the places of interest, and the guided tour tells some interesting facts about the region's history. Look for the weekdays when there is live music and wine tasting at the top floor. The guide mentioned it, but we visited the place on the wrong day :-( Another tip: if the weather is good, go at the end of the afternoon to see the sunset (and you may also get a glimpse of the city lights at night). The ticket could be a little less expensive, though.

Tallest building in South America with stunning city views that spreads out from the foothills of Andes. Sunsets are a popular time to visit. If you want less crowd go during the noon. Also, it’s cheaper to visit during the weekdays. The building has a cafe on the 61st floor where you can relax and enjoy a cup of your choice with the stunning views of the landscape.

Amazing views of the cityscape of Santiago. Walk through the mall on the lower level to get to the entrance (didn’t initially see any signs until inside the mall). Very small queue and possible to buy tickets there. The views were great and good to time for sunset. The restaurant food was average with good cocktails but fairly pricey.

The tallest man built structure in all of Latin America... What else needs to be said. This tower is massive and impressive. It's clean lines and simple design is stunning. The experience is equally clean, efficient, and well maintained. The shopping center at the base will give you an entire day of things to do and the tower itself is a peaceful and lofty experience.

Sky Costanera can be seen from miles and when you are on the top at the observation platform, you can see for miles. The views are fantastic, especially of the mountains. From here you can get a really good feel for the city and its sheer size. I love tall buildings and taking pictures from the top. This is one of the best ones so far as the scenery is so amazing. If you are going to Santiago, this is one thing you should do. The area is also a really nice area to stay. The tower is linked to a shopping mall. We stayed in the Hilton DoubleTree in the tower’s shadow, so it was an easy walk for the mall and tower. You can see 360 deg from the top and as its on a hill, the aspect is even more pronounced, giving amazing views. If there was one issue, they need to clean the windows a bit more often, as it was hard to find completely clean spots to take pictures. Definitely worth a visit.

I was on the fence on visiting because I had gone to other spots around Santiago and thought I had seen some amazing views, however the views from Sky Costanera was something else. It was beautiful to see the city, surrounded by the Andes from such a height. I had to sit down for a while and take in the beauty of the city and scenery. Worth the money to visit!

Definitely recommend trying to go here. It’s located inside a mall. You go purchase the tickets on the lower level and then enter the elevators to access the top. You can walk around the enter top floor. There is another escalator that you can access an open sky space. It was a little cloudy the day we went and was warned that the visibility was low. We went up anyways because it was the only day we could go. There is a small bar restaurant at the top you can have a drink of coffee and hang out. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a view point of Santiago that is wonderful. Definitely a tourist place. Nice, just need to do it once. Takes about 30-45 minutes total time for this. About $20 USD per person. If you don’t make it…no worries.

Sky Costanera, also known as Gran Torre Santiago, is one of the tallest buildings around the world at a height of 984 feet and gives you a magnificent, panoramic view of Santiago. The place has an elevator which takes you at the staggering height to see Santiago change its colors as the day progresses. The evening sights from here are the highlights when the whole city glitters with its vibrant lights and if you love places which take you away from the Earth, this place is an absolute must-see!

It was amazing view for us. We visited there week day late noon from before sunset to almost close hour. We could see Santiago city and Andes mountain from higher place. They had a bar where we could drink alcohol and snacks. We recommend to visit there before sunset and stay there until you can see night view. You can but the ticket on the -1 floor at Costanera Center.

The observation deck was awesome. We spent two hours gazing across the panoramic views of Santiago and the Andes Mountains. The Sky Bar cafe offers small bites, coffee, and adult beverages, and the staff is very nice. If you visit, make sure to go to the Open Sky level above the main observation deck so you can feel the breeze!

It is a cheesy thing to do, but heck, which touristy thing isn’t cheesy? It is the tallest building in Latin America, so just for that, it is worth it to visit and see the view. You can't bypass paying for admission by going up to the bar. We got our tickets and snagged a table by the window to enjoy the sunset.

The view is amazing. If you are in Santiago you must visit this place. There are 2 levels, one is inside and one is with open roof and if you want to stop for some drinks and snacks and appreciate the view they have one small cafe

It is definitely a must for every foreigner going to Santiago. I recommend to purchase tickets in advance so that you don't get to do the half hour or more line to purchase them on site. Also I recommend to go on the sunset hours, a very nice experience to see the city.

Very nice experience. It’s easy to get there by subway and it is conveniently located inside a shopping mall. Found it a bit expensive for the experience but the views are actually so cool. Seeing the city from above surrounded by the Andes is truly incredible. By sunset it gets very packed around the window but found the lower floor a bit less full when watching the sunset. Other than that, I really enjoyed the experience and liked going up, however, if you’re on a budget/don’t have much time in the city, you can get pretty amazing views from going up cerro cristobal and walking around, especially if you take both the elevator and cable car. You’ll see the city from above and the Andes but paying way less.

It is the best 360 view of Santiago. Watching the sunset from there is a must-see. Our visit was on a Thursday and there was live music and wine tasting. There is a restaurant, photography service and bathrooms available. The staff is very friendly.

Easy to access viewing platform in the city, inside a shopping mall. The loop platforms on level 61 and 62 have a very good view of the city. The lift is very quick from the basement but strangely the exit is only available on level 5.

I bought a ticket at 8pm ticket in advance but it was a bit confusing to find the entrance. Also it was confusing as there was only one line to the ticket office so even if you have the ticket you still had to line up. Anyway it wasn't busy and it was the perfect time to see the sunset. The bar on the top had a nice selection of cocktails and service was great.

This is at the top of the tallest building in South America, with 62 stories high and a absolutely phenomenall view point from several of the top floors- also binoculars are located around the floor offering views of the snow capped mountains to one side, and the valley on the other. Champagne 🍾 is provided free of charge- was on Friday night and there's plenty of people out who took the opportunity to view the sunset. There's a super fast elevator which takes approximately 1min to get to the top, your ears will pop along the way. Price of entry is 16000 pesos which is reasonable. There's a shopping centre located on the bottom 6 floors with plenty to keep you busy.Highly recommended for anyone who is in Santiago to visit, as it's close to shops and hotels.

Catedral Metropolitana de Santiago is one of the most iconic churches in all of Santiago, in one of the most famous city squares in all of the downtown! It was built several times over the years since 1748, and the cathedral that you see now was built in the early 1800s. It’s one of the biggest cathedrals in South America! It’s absolutely magnificent and very much worth the visit if you’re in the city - it’s free too so you can just walk inside, gaze at all the beautiful architecture and artwork, and then walk out! The square that it is located on has tons of other tourist attractions, shops, restaurants, and much more. It really is one of the best spots in Santiago. So check this place out next time you visit!

This is a free Cathedral to visit and it's a very pretty one. You'll likely find a couple of hundred people inside praying or sitting while enjoying the cooler air the church offers. The artwork and detailing inside is gorgeous. There are a couple of side chapels that are quieter and better for prayer if that's why you're visiting. Otherwise be respectful as this is a popular place to worship.

…………….From outside this massive solid structure stands strong as with most cathedral worldwide the architecture is always impressive. The inside beautiful as ever and bringing able some awareness of the Almighty who this building was erected in honour of. The doors are always open so you can just wander in and observe the sanctity and sit down in a pew and become quiet allowing the serenity of the immaculate-lii created interior to be absorbed. Two events where well-advertised for the 30th June 2019 name-lii Holy Mass and Sacred Heart Procession of Jesus & Collections for the Charities of the Pope. It was a delight to witness this awesome Place of worship…………….

We were walking around town on New Years Day, and this was one of our stops. It’s in the government district, and the large plaza had a lot of traffic. We didn’t see any problems, but there were a lot of refugees in the plaza, and we had the feeling of being watched by some for possibly pickpocketing, so we did not stay long.

Generally it's great, really peaceful to be in, even if it's other 100 people inside. It takes you out a little bit the fact that there's some hideous stands inside it. Other than that, it's a valuable experience.

What an amazing cathedral. Worth the visit and free. Terry to catch a mass at 6pm. Absolutely a must. The sound system and the televisions means you won't miss what is happening at the altar. Missing that, the cathedral itself is a masterpiece.

The Metropolitan Cathedral is acknowledged to be the highest point of Vice Regal and colonial art, architecture, and craftsmanship. The construction of the building started in the mid-16th century and was eventually completed in 1813.

Well worth coming back when they were open to walk through and appreciate the beauty of the design and architecture. The cathedral is at the northwest corner of Plaza de Armas in the heart of Santiago. The walking street that runs north from the cathedral also has many local vendors and is a market street. Fascinating to see what types of items are being bought and sold there. This public place is always crowded with lots of locals and other foreign tourists. Lots of music and festivities also. Come and check it out. Beauty area to relax on a beautiful Chilean summer day. 😎🙏🏻

It’s really nice to visit. The building and architecture is super beautiful. I went in Sunday and there were praying it was nice and different experience for me. I recommend it. Pay attention to open times. It’s free to visit.
