This is nice waterfall. You have to 30 minutes easy trek to reach waterfall. This is just behind of Bhagsunag temple. The way is well maintained, anyone can go there. This route you will find food & juice point. You will see adventure ride like zip/cycle riding on the way.

This waterfall is located in Bhagsu. You can reach till Bhagsunag temple on any vehicle. Post that one has to walk for 20-30 mins to reach the Bhagsu Warefall. The path is well maintained. This is the best waterfall in Mcleodganj-Dharamkot area. But during summers, you may find it dry!

Best waterfall in Dharamshala. It is just few km from Dharamshala from bhagsu Nag temple. The tracking is osm you will lobe the place.... U can come with your frinds or family and full enjoy. Reach the place by 11 and come back by 5. There are many Maggie point and restaurant for hanging and chilling with the nature.

A touristy spot, quite scenic - but it's a moderately steep climb with a narrow trek. Even if you don't like to trek, visit the vicinity for checking the WaterFall from a distance

Nice place to visit for everyone. There is Bhagsu nag temple and after that 1.5km hiking you will reach the waterfall. There is lot of small shops for tea and Maggie and some good cafes at nice location where you can enjoy with nature voice of waterfall. The Triund trek is also starting from here.

On weekends the bhagsu waterfall gets very crowded so avoid going on weekends if u want peace, although a beautiful place..

We went there in the month of Feb and very less amount of water was falling falling. However it is so beautiful that we wanted to stay thr for long. Cafe around plays awesome music and i was so amazed with the food prize ss ut is very nominal. Generally people charges extra basis the location. We paid Rs70 for veg maggie. Which is quite normal. It is around 1km walking distance from bhagsu temple. Mostly people went back stating it is not worth going thr. However it is wrong thought. U shud go thr and enjoy it.

I like the pathway of around 1 km & scenic views all around. The vibe we get is totally amazing. I went there in the morning & my experience was wonderful. This is a small waterfall covered with beautiful scenic mountains.

We started trekking from Bhagsu at around 9am and reached the top by afternoon. We camped there for the night and returned next day after breakfast. It was a wonderful experience as there were snow along the trekking trail at some places. The view after reaching the top was amazing and was worth all the effort.

Awesome place for weekend trip. You can go there by reaching Bhagsunag waterfall from McLeodganj/ Dharamshala. from Bhagsunag trekking is there for approx 5-6 hours. Local food items and resturants are availabe at Bhagsunag, but at Triund no such resturants are there. Cost of foods is also very high (water bottle for Rs. 80) It would be beneficial to take package prior to going if planning to stay at night at top. Views are scenic at top at day as well as at night. Round trip can also be planned but trek is to be started early in morning in that case. Snowfall can be seen at some days. It would be good to enquire about it prior to going.

As we all know whenever we visit Himachal pradesh hill stations they give you contrasting experience everytime,here I’m sharing my point of view on triund trekking which i had visited in the last week in December 2022 with my college buddies and it is full of fun this trek takes Round 4 hours to complete but luckily we completed it in 3 hours with minimal short breaks .one thing you should bring your water and snacks with you from your home or buy them from mcleod ganj or rather Dharamshala whereas price of food goes double in shops coming in the trek route. You must visit this place it gives you bliss experiences here .

Triund is a small hill station situated in the foothills of Dhauladhar Ranges in the Kangra district of Himachal. It lies near Dharamshala and is located at an altitude of around 2850 m. This trek provides majestic views of the hills all around. One gets mesmerised by its heights and the sceneries it provides. Weather at Triund is pleasant in the summer months. You can feel the cool breeze of the hills as you climb up the hills. The temperature at Triund drops after the month of October and snowfall can be seen in the months of January- March. The total distance covered in the trek is 7 km. The difficulty level of Triund trek can be considered as easy to moderate. Even the beginners can go for Triund trek. You must be healthy and have good stamina. After 7 km of trekking, you reach the mesmerising site of Triund where the camping is done. Camping under the stars at such a height surrounded by majestic mountains is an experience of a lifetime!

Place is Amazing but There are Important Points To take Care. 1. Its a 4-5 Hours Trek for People from Non Pahadi Cities. And 3-4 when you comming back dependig upon snow. 2.If you are not staying at triund trek camp then start your treking before 9am i.e start your journey at 7.30am from your hotel. Take taxi and reach gallu temple then start treking. 3. This trek is not Children friend. Please avoid to go with clidrens below 14 years. 4. Plese take bamboo and wooden stick from nearby gallu's temple dhabas. It just cost you rs 50 rent and 100 security. 5. Trek is full of sharp stones and narrow paths so be careful. View is very Amazing spend some time at top have food tea at top, take pics. 6. Try to come back before 5.30 pm

Top view was scenic and breathtaking but i would recommend actual mountain lovers to go on weekdays. During holidays there are a lot of party people with their loud bluetooth speakers destroying the peaceful mountain atmosphere. At top you can enjoy beautiful sunsets, moon rise and sky full of stars. Be sure to carry warm clothes as temperature drops real quick. Don’t rely on just sleeping bags. Have a great journey

Trekked during the month of Jan. And it was completely covered by snow. We didn't expect the level of snow it would have. But it was such a splendid view. We enjoyed to the core. I would definitely visit again and camp there. Two lovely dogs which i fed with half of the biscuits at a tea stall in base accompanied me to the top of the hill. They stayed with me untill i got back. I gave like 2/3rd share of my bread pack to them 😁

We started our trek from shiva cafe ( dharmshala) and it took approximately 6 hours to complete the trek and it was an amazing experience. Trek wasn’t very easy neither was it very tough. The view after completing the trek was all worth it. Triund is surrounded by Dhauladhar Mountain range and the view was breathtaking. We witnessed a beautiful sunset after reaching the top and then a mesmerising sunrise in the morning. Temperature went below zero degrees at night coz of dhauladhar range. Overall if you like trekking and love amazing views then Triund is a must visit place for you.

Its a really Nice place to visit. Serine environment with attractive mountain views. The most affectionate thing of this place is Sunset and Sunrise . You can stay here in tents . During the night you can see the stars very clearly.

A must visit place if you are in Dharmsala or Mcleodganj! This monastery is where Dalai Lama stays. But it will be very difficult to see him here. The main temple of the monastery is usually crowded. But you will feel the peace and calmness in the temple because of the ambience. Also, masks are mandatory for entry inside the temple!

Very quiet and calm place for meditation, can spend hours sitting here. Great view of mountains and valley, can even see Dharamshala Skyway cabins floating by. Very well maintained and clean premises. At a walkable distance from McLeod Ganj Chowk with lot of eateries and other shops on both sides of the road. A must visit while being in Dharamshala.

This complex has the Tibet memorial, namgyal monastery, official residence of H.H. Dalai Lama and various hostels/offices which are not open for normal tourist. Some basic things that one must remember here; 1. Always wear masks 2. Follow the rules written on the wall 3. Maintain silence in the temple. The namgyal monastery was set up by H.H. Dalai Lama and other refugees who came from Tibet after China's invasion. It has the reamin of the main idol of the original namgyal monastery from Tibet. You can sit and pray outside the main temple, as there are a lot of mattresses and area for public. One needs to maintain silence there all the time. There is drinking water available but please don't use it untill it's necessary because the residents of the complex are already facing water shortage. Enjoy the area, pray and learn about Buddhism, Tibet and H.H. Dalai Lama.

The temple of Mahatma Budha is a tremendous sight to behold. It is a wonderful sight to see. All the people who come here and from Bodhidharma, they keep coming here. Apart from this, the general public also keeps coming here. It is a very amazing temple to see and coming here gives peace and relaxation. Very relaxed, very relaxed, a lot.

This is a very peaceful temple to visit for sightseeing and meditation.... A few shops inside the complex that sell ritual items and books. This temple is the frequent preaching spot of Dalai Lama.

This is the temple complex & office building of his holiness Dalai Lama. Entrance is free. Walk for 100 meters & then take stairs to the first floor. There are 2 different meditation / prayer areas where everyone is allowed. Quite close by to Mcloedganj ropeway. Better to walk if you are staying nearby.

Namgyal Monastery (Tibetan: རྣམ་རྒྱལ།, Wylie: rnam rgyal) (also often referred to as "Dalai Lama's Temple") is currently located in Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala, India. It is the personal monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama. Another name for this temple-complex is Namgyal Tantric College. This monastery key role is to assist with rituals involving the Dalai Lama of Tibet. Its main tantric practices reportedly include those of Kalachakra, Yamantaka, Chakrasamvara, Guhyasamaja, and Vajrakilaya.

The complex is huge, but does not represent anything vernacular about the Tibetan architecture. Most of the construction is so raw and concrete that it is in stark contrast to the Tibetan ambience seen in typical monasteries

I had visited during morning time. The area of the temple is huge. Namgyal Monastery also called Dalailama Temple. There are Institute, admistration office and residence of Dalai lama, library adjacent of temple. This place is very calm. There is no entry fees. This temple is just one minute walking distance from Dharamsala skyway/ropeway.

Amazing temple, very serene atmosphere. Highly recommend to visit during morning/early afternoon to see monks chanting and debating. No entrance fee

Really loved the beauty of this place. The lake was kind of dried out but the surroundings were lovely.. Try to visit it when there is not much crowd.

Small pond surrounded by lot of green trees. It is not well maintained though. There is hardly any water and whatever is there, it is green and dirty. Understandably, there is no boating here. It is on the way towards Naddi View Point, passing-by glance is enough for this spot.

Decent place for morning walks. A small lake with trees all around. Not a lot to do here though apart from enjoying the scenery. A few snacks shocks in case you visit. Decent parking space is also there.

1.Okayish place for tourist attraction. 2.Surrounded by trees and horses can seen around grazing. 3.It's not a lake, It's a Pond. 4.Water is all green and filled with algae. 5.Boating is not allowed.

It’s a artificial pond renamed after Dal lake of Kashmir. But it is not even 10% of that Kashmir dal lake . The bed is green trees behind the pond is only a good thing there . Else water is smelling bad and also dirty. Not well maintained. Just the name is there and nothing good there from my opinion, it can be maintained well and make a good tourist place.

Dal Lake is a small lake 1,775 meters above sea level situated on Macleodganj - Naddi Road in Himachal Pradesh. It will is very close to MacLeodganj bazaar. Nestling amidst lush green forests of deodar trees, it is famous for its scenic beauty and pilgrimage center. The area around Dal Lake is a natural paradise.

Lake doesn't looks like lake🤣🤣 but coz of tree view is very nice .

It's not the same as before, as I was told there. The lake is not maintained anymore, it is just on the way to sunset point, which is why people visit the place. Nothing spectacular here.

Nice place to visit. The pine trees give this place a picturesque view also which makes this place look very beautiful. But the Government has to do something to revive the lake. The lake is having mud & it looks like a daldal. The government should look into the matter of cleanliness and reviving of this lake to make it more beautiful ❤️

This place didn't really surprise me, it seems like any random lake. However, as I visited this place in July the monsoons made it look much much better 🤩

Visit this place in the month of January. It was devoid of snow. The Deodar tree line on the outline of the lake created a beautiful landscape. Only if the water level would've been a bit on the higher side, it would added on to the beauty. Hopefully administration revives the aquifers and get a year round supply of water for the lake and beyond. Sample space for parking across the road enroute Naddi hill station. One time visit is more than enough.

When we visited this place just after the extended monsoon, at the end of September, we found this small lake, surrounded by lush green trees, very pretty. However, since it is an artificial lake, with controlled water, it may not look so beautiful throughout the year. The park by the side of the lake needs better maintenance. It is just about 2.5 km uphill from McLeod Ganj, on way to the Naddi/ Sunset View Point.

Chilling spot surrounded by cedrus forest. Lake itself is made artificially by damming the stream on the flat terrace are. The banks are turned into the park zone with walking paths, number of benches, trash bins and places for picnic. Fast food facilities are also available, but not operating throughout whole year. Lack of maintenance from municipal services leads to intensive trashing of the place.

A place to see the real and cultural heritage of Buddhism. The place is very beautifully built and located in a great location. This place preserves all the heritage and cultural values of Buddhism and had protected from a very long decade. This place is easy to reach via any means like own transport or taxi. The place is having an inside restaurant, a bakery and a small guest room too with beautiful rooms and amazing Tibetan food. I highly recommend a stay in the guest rooms of the institute which can be booked on spot by reaching or on their website.

Norbulingka works to preserve Tibetan art and culture. The location is beautiful and well maintained, with little touches, like a dragon spewing water, all over. You can take a guided tour to see first hand artists at work keeping ancient methods alive. The raised thread stitching (with threads wrapped around horse hair!) is something to see. The temple at the top is absolutely lovely, do sit there with your eyes closed and let the peace envelope you. There is a small restaurant to the right as you enter, we enjoyed the butter tea, sticky rice, and cheese momos. Please do visit the institute shop to buy art made by the folks who work at the institute - what better way to support them.

a serene experience complimented with the best possible desserts and beverages. the monastery sits in nature's lap with a distant sound of running water. i personally found myself intrigued by the various forms of art taught in the institute. the refreshing and calming atmosphere made it absolutely worth revisiting the place.

This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The institute is all about serenity and calmness. This is one of best institute of Tibetan Studies. This was my send visit and I was in awe again. This place imparts knowledge on Tibetan culture and art. There are many workshops that are conducted in this place.

Norbulingka Institute is an ancient monastery dedicated to the Tibetan culture. You'll hear soft meditating Buddha hymns as soon as you enter this place. There is a huge statute of Buddha established in the heart of the institute. You can sit there and meditate for long hours. Other than that you'll find a little shop selling all kind of Tibet clothes, souvenirs, and incense products. All the items are made in-house by local artisans. The 'museum' in the monastery was the most fascinating part for me. The museum precisely explains the Tibet culture and several Tibet mythologies. You can read the boards around to get detailed description of every element included in the museum. Overall, it was a knowledgeable, serene, and beautiful experience visiting Norbulingka Institute. Lastly, don't forget to rotate the giant prayer wheels in the monastery for some good vibes.

I stayed in Dharamshala for three days, and every day for some reason I found myself drawn to this beautiful Monastery/Institute. The peace and serenity is out of this world. Among all the monasteries in Dharamshala or McLeodganj, I liked this one the most. You can sit in front of the Buddha, in a huge room and just pray, or just be quiet and try and find the inner peace. Please do visit. They also have a lovely cafe (the mud pie slice cake is to die for!). You'll also meet several dogs here who have also taken refuge under the Tibetan kindness.

Really great and peaceful place. They provide a guide free of cost which will help you to understand the place in a better way. The guide started from the entrance where there were 4-5 gods about whom the guide explained well. After that we went to see the wooden workshop where the skilled artists were creating there artwork. Don't try to touch and feel the artwork. The guide will give you a properly finished piece of art to touch and feel it. After that we went to see Thanga painting workshops where first we went to the newbie section where the rookies were practicing the Thangka Painting then we went to the Senior section where we had to remove our shoes after that we went to another arts section where they cut different cloth pieces and sew them together to make the artwork. After that we went to the museum where different themes and stories of Tibetan culture was represented. After that we went to the main monastery which was very peaceful and calm. On the first floor you can see various Tibetan literature and Statues. After that we went to the shop centre where you can buy the finished artworks from the artists. The sound of water flowing everywhere was very soothing. A must visit place. There are also places to eat and stay here which you can try as per your need. Washrooms were available and were clean.

The best place to introduce Tibetan culture and crafts. Full of soul, built with love and attention to details. People are amazing there. You can sneak and explore everything you want, attend numerous workshops and buy fine handmade goods. Temple is very calm and peaceful with astonishing masterpieces inside. Entrance fee is 110 only with guide.

A serene and beautiful place for learning about the Tibetan arts and crafts. The place has a guest house, coffee shop, a restaurant, many workshops, a traditional doll museum, an impressive and awe inspiring temple, and a posh retail outlet which showcases the work of the artists. This must be on the visit list for all Dharamshala bound Tibetan enthusiasts to get a feel for the vibrant art and culture of Tibet, being so painstakingly preserved in this institute.

This spot can be avoided.Though lots of space is given to this institute,from a tourist point of view,the only monastery is there.Rest are classes for art,painting,and weaving clothes. You hardly get proper information. Ticket=50 rs time till 7 pm. Route map to explore is given in photos

Most beautiful monastery I've ever seen. Beautifully preserved Tibetan culture. The art workshops are totally worth it. There's an entry fee but you'll love this place. Visiting Norbulingka Institute in Dharamshala was an absolute delight! This unique institute is a beacon of Tibetan arts and culture preservation, and I can't recommend it enough. Allocate 3 to 4 hours for your visit to truly immerse yourself in all it has to offer. The ambiance here is serene and captivating, providing an unparalleled opportunity to explore and understand Tibetan culture. The presence of the monastery adds a spiritual touch, enhancing the overall experience. One of the highlights for me was the Doll Museum, a true treasure trove of meticulously crafted Tibetan dolls. Each doll tells a story, adorned in traditional costumes that beautifully reflect the rich heritage and customs of the region. The attention to detail is simply astounding. Moreover, witnessing local artisans in action was a memorable experience. Their craftsmanship is awe-inspiring, and it's fascinating to see them at work. The institute also boasts a classy shopping center where you can find a wide array of cultural artifacts. While the artisanal products are exquisite, it's worth noting that they can be on the pricier side. To top it all off, the cool cafe within the institute is a perfect spot to relax and soak in the ambiance. Whether you're enjoying a cup of tea or savoring a snack, it complements the overall atmosphere wonderfully. With an entry fee of just 50 INR, Norbulingka Institute offers incredible value for the enriching experience it provides. I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary while in Dharamshala. You won't be disappointed!

This is a beautiful place. Very soothing. Very nice restaurant and cafe inside. Ticket cost is Rs 50. Very green and nice place. You can see all their art work and collection - from metal and woodwork to painting and basically all forms of art & craft that one might be interested in. There's a shop on the inside too. Also, this place has rooms if you wish to stay here. Would be quite a peaceful stay indeed.

The place is a must visit if you appreciate art and culture. The institute teaches various art skills like wood working, drawing painting stitching to students. This art is typical of the Tibetan culture and exquisite in style. The place is quite beautiful and it’s a zen experience being here. There is a temple with huge Budha statue and a doll museum. They also have a restaurant and cafe serving you clean good foot. Their shop sells all the art products.

I must say this is a true place to retreat. However some costly, but it is necessary to pay for. It contains the big statue of lord Buddha, very energising very auspicious very spiritual. There is so much of peace that u can hear the blow of wind, bird chirps. No words to express. Namo Buddhay

Nice place to visit. Quiet place to sit for sometime and get your thoughts together. Interesting to see the hard work goes behind the different Tibetian arts and you can see all the artist preparing lots of stuff although all are very very costly. It also has nice cafe and restaurant. Recommended place to visit.

Beautiful stadium dhauldhar range are visible in case of clear sky. Architecture of stadium is the main highlight. It was our first ever visit to any cricket stadium. One must visit this place Above 5 years ticket is rs 30. Maintenance point washrooms need maintenance and upgrade..

The day light view of the mountains is awesome. management is good they are managing huge crowd. Seats are comfortable (2-3 Hours ) but not for too long. The mountain scenic view is eye pleasing. I was visited on Non Match Day.

The most gorgeous stadium of India. The stadium is at the best location. Surrounded by the snowclad mountains. The capacity isn't huge. I just love watching cricket here with the cold breeze and mountain. What I miss the most is the gallery or a museum to know more information about the stadium.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the HPCA Dharamshala Cricket Stadium and I must say it was a breathtaking experience. Not only is this stadium one of the most beautiful cricket venues in the world, it also offers stunning views of the mighty Dhauladhar ranges. The combination of cricket and natural beauty was truly unforgettable. The facilities at the stadium were top-notch, with plenty of seating options to choose from and a welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend visiting this stadium to anyone who loves cricket and wants to enjoy a picturesque backdrop while they watch the game. I would rate this stadium a solid 5 out of 5 stars!"

Beautiful stadium located in middle of the hills 🤩 Whenever you get a chance to watch a match there just say yes! You’ll have your amazing once in a lifetime cricket experience there. The stadium is small and always open for visitors during day hours. The association charge ₹30 per ticket to visit the stadium. P.S: You can also go there with your dog :) but not during the match.

The mountains of Himachal surrounding the stadium makes it look out of the world. The entry is very cheap and there is only one side of the stadium which is open for the tourists. The best part, there is no time limit of the visit, so you can enjoy the vibes as much as you want. A must visit place in Dharamshala.

I've always seen the stadium on TV. But, when I got a chance to visit it in reality, I observed that the stadium is even more beautiful. It is situated on a long height of 1457m. The views of the Dhauladhar mountain ranges from the stadium, especially in winters covered with snow, is mesmerizing. You can sit for hours with those scenery. You've to take tourists tickets (Rs. 30 per person as of Feb 24) to visit the stadium on non-match days. The entry for tourists is allowed from Gate 2 (not on Google Maps). You've to ask from some locals as the gate is located inside a small road.

Very good stadium. I must say the only one to feel and be closer to the ground. You can see the players at long off, long on at a distance of 10 meters. The view is amazing from the east and south block stands. My seat was at north block so Dhauladhar range was at the back.

Gazing at the towering mountains from the stadium creates an unforgettable experience, adding a touch of grandeur to every moment spent there. I went there from Mcleod Ganj using the Dharamshala Skyway, which added a lot to the entire experience. After entering the stadium, I sat there for a while enjoying the cool breeze, which was absolutely awesome. Must visit!
