Wide and nice place to visit, and also have a wide shopping center

Highly recommend Japanese Garden section. Used to be extra fee for entrance to the garden but now it's free. The scenery is picturesque and atmosphere is wonderful. It would take around 30 minutes for entire garden, but you can easily exit another entrance at end of garden to get to the train.

A very large facility with different areas. There are museums (extra entrance fee), huge meadows, barbecue areas (can be rented), a high ropes course that is really worth seeing (extra cost) and a huge Japanese garden. Parts of the park are very well maintained (rose garden), other parts could use some gardening again. The whole park is definitely worth a trip, where you should also bring time, because it is very extensive, which is not a problem even on weekends with high visitor numbers. There are always wonderfully quiet spots and even those where families meet or groups of young people.

This was one of the best parks I visited on my trip to Japan. If you're staying in Osaka, this is the place to go! There is a cost to get in at the front gate - you can pay on the day using their ticket booths. You can also pay to do other activities once in the park. I visited on a weekday during the summer, and it was very, very quiet. We used the paddle boats for 20 minutes for 1000 yen for two people. Truly one of the most beautiful parks I've visited in Osaka. This is my 2nd visit here in 8 years, and the place looks as Beaufort as ever. Last time, I visited during autumn and this time in Aug 2023 for the summer. The park is huge and takes about two hours minimum to walk one complete circle. There's facilities like cafes and washrooms around the main park area near the ponds. The main entrance is where you can see the unique and odd tower structure.

I’m giving 4 star only for the rose garden and the train, which my kids like a lot. Apart from that nothing much here. You can consider this place for a day long paying destination with your kids. Apart from that in terms of activities or site seeing there is nothing. Also, tor playing with kids you need to bring your own things with you. For parking need to pay 400¥. For train it will 350¥ per person. Anyone above 3 years old need ticket to ride the train. Another good point, right after you get in there is a lake or you can say pond, it has lots of fishes. They are so friendly. By the lake side wherever you talk they come close. We were really surprised with this. It was like they can listen us and they were following us.

I went there on holiday (10/10/2022). The flowers bloomed beautifully. There are cosmos flowers, pink grass, konia grass and some kind of flowers that I dont remember the name. This was a nice place to visit, unfortunately going up was not an option when i went, but there are other sites within the compound to visit. For example it has a fantastic jungle gym for children. Entry for adults was 280 yen, i think children are 80 yen… students and elders also get a discount.

My 2nd time here at Expo Park and the Tower of the Sun still look as amazing as ever. I attended Pokemon GO Fest 2023 here and had the opportunity to explore the entire park on foot. In the summer, this place stands out because of the blue skies and photography is the best during this time. You can also tour inside the tower, but you need to make a prior booking.

A good place to visit when you need a wet weather program! Alot of interesting and colourful fishes.. white tiger, crocodiles, otters, beavers, penguins etc. it will be great if the museum includes description of each fish to introduce them. A slow take-it-easy exploration of museum takes about 2-2.5hours. There is a shopping centre right next to the museum to consider having a meal there.

I’ve been here three times with different people and it’s quite enjoyable. There are so many different kinds of fish and other creatures which were a joy to learn about. The staff are so friendly and knowledgable about the animals. There was one staff who even tried to explain stuff in English to us. I do feel bad for the tiger though. It’s beautiful but it just doesn’t deserve to be in captivity just for the novelty. Also the crocodiles were so fat. Idk about what healthy crocodiles look like though so I can’t say they’re unhealthy. This place definitely has unique exhibits compared to a normal zoo or aquarium so it’s a unique experience I would recommend to most people.

Small and compact but highly recommended aquarium, filled with wit and tricks to make you witness the habit and special tricks the water creatures can do. It also has an indoor zoo area where you can meet several species of birds such as burrowing owl.

While there wasn't anything wrong with the facility or the staff, the aquariums and encluseres were way too small for the animals with most of them appeared stressed out of thier mind. It honestly starts bad and get worse the bigger the animals get in a tragic-comedically fasion.

It's very great to visit here. The colorful light and ambient sound are very perfect. And also all of the animals display end show are well design and very good.

My son loves aquariums and we were looking for kid-friendly places to go in Osaka. This place was amazing--we really enjoyed our time here. The exhibits are well done and we loved the aquatic life on display. I have mixed feelings about the tiger which was pacing above the food court area. Overall this place felt modern and engaging and we had a great experience. One surprise was a light/music display room--we just sat and relaxed for some time. It was very calming and my kids loved it. We showed up early and didn't have a wait.

Nifrel is worth your visit if you are heading to Expo 70. I came for the white tiger but in the end I got absorbed by the wonderful variety of animals they have. The white tiger was sleeping when I arrived, decided to have lunch while waiting. Had the Aligator curry and it was delicious, which I highly recommend trying. It finally got up after 2hrs, and it was worth it with all the cute shots it was posing for us. Overall a fun and enriching experience. Will come again next time!

Even if you don't like museums, this one is special. While it offers to so many cultures exponents and information it just keeps interesting.

Due to the sakura blossom season, there are explosively many tourists. This time I went to the library on the third floor of the Ethnic Museum. Just the entry ticket to the library costs about over 800 yen, which is a bit expensive. The library itself is very good. There’s a sales department on the first floor, a restaurant, and a bookstore, which are the less crowded areas of the entire park. Highly recommend taking a stroll here. The first floor bathroom still retains the original squat toilets.

Fantastic spot to spend a few hours in. The museum is located inside the Expo Commemoration Park (accessible by the osaka monorail), and is a roughly 10 min walk from the entrance of the Expo Park. The different cultures of the world are displayed clearly through the 2nd floor of the museum. Each region has its own section complete with faithful and realistic recreations of notable landmarks or sights. The museum also has categories such as religion, music and language. Most of the exhibits include a reasonable amount of English explanations, though they are not as detailed as the jaapense ones. Even so, the sheer breath of things to see here is more than sufficient to keep most busy for a few hours. Ensure you retain your ticket stub, as you will need for access back into the Expo park.

There is a lack of English explanations but it doesn't hurt its awesomeness. Clearly a lot of research and efforts have been put into the museum, as there are tons of models and real items that people would use are exhibited there.

Phenomenal museum--well worth the visit. Truly an amazing collection of items from around the world. Incredible displays, it's a lot to take in. We were completely mesmerized by the collection--both it's volume and quality. I really liked so many of the exhibits--its hard to highlight them all--I wouldn't be doing them justice. My children also enjoyed the museum--its a great learning place, I wish there were more places like this around the world! If in Osaka again, we'd make the effort to come back. Highly recommended.

The collection here is awesome, overwhelming, and sometimes eclectic. We thought we could be in and out in 2 hours but ended up spending over 3 hours. And that was in a rush, we probably could have spent double that amount of time if we didn't want to see other stuff in the park. However, not a museum for someone who doesn't like reading as there isn't much interaction here other than the linguistics exhibit. Also, not all the info boards are translated to English, so be prepared to use your phone data either to scan QR codes for translated info, or use your Google translate.

Honestly, we only went into this place to escape Japan's horrible summer sun. I had no idea what to expect, "ethnology" is not a word we use frequently in English. But it was an awesome museum. The museum had exhibits on cultures I'm not completely used to in America. I haven't seen such a huge exhibit on Kazakhstan, for example. Highlights were the kite exhibits, the hall of musical instruments, and also the exhibits of common clothes Pacific Islanders wear - I hadn't been to a museum that features my part of the world in another country. I plan to go back, there was too much to take in for just one day.

Second time visiting this museum. It would have been more exciting. But nope, you realize how cramped the exhibits have been. While there were descriptions for some notable displays, you can hardly read them. I wish they do something to jazz up the presentations in the near future if they want to attract more visitors. To be fair, visiting teachers are admitted freely while student tickets are half the price.

One of the best museum I have ever visited, it can consume you a whole day or even more time if you try to look at all the items they exhibit, the venue is very big and got so many things to see and learn, eye opening experience, entrance fee is cheap.

We tagged along with a very happy looking Japanese group, and the wonderful guides gave us English audio guides  to follow along with. Overall the tour was very nice, showcasing impressive automation, a fantastic commitment to sustainability, and of course some beer tasting too.

The tour is very reasonably priced as it includes 2 beers plus a snack and a souvenir beer glass and also a ‘zero’ beer too! The facilities are super clean and easy to follow along. Our 4 year old was a little bored as she couldn’t understand Japanese but she enjoyed the free softdrink and snacks at the end of the tour. There was also a virtual ride that she enjoyed as well so it’s more the interactive parts she enjoyed. Adults in our group loved the tour.

This was one of the highlights of trip to Osaka. Only 1000 Yen and you get guided tour, two small beers, pretzel and a glass. Definitely recommend, but you need to make reservation.

I have done a lot of brewery tours around the world and unfortunately this one fell a little short. It had some really fun bits - the VR headset and the production line video experience. But it is such a shame that nothing was in English (you can download an app and listen yourself as you go along, but we didn't have headphones with us). Like others have said, you can follow along easily enough but I'm sure there was some great info we missed. Also I feel like there could have been more in the VR section - that was really fun. And why couldn't that have been combined with the production line experience, that would be epic! Nethertheless, it was a good experience, and very good value considering you get 2 glasses of beer per person, weird pretzels and a free souvenir glass! Their gift shop is also very affordable, which was a nice surprise
