This place is so frickin' cute! Not only around you surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of Sonoma, but the building is adorable and they have so many cheeses and other products inside! Step in for a free tasting - I highly recommend the petit camembert with their caramelized onion jam! YUM! Staff is super friendly and willing to help you find whatever you're looking for; plus there are picnic areas outside if you want to stay to eat your goodies on site. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

They had wonderful creamed cheeses and though we went in looking for an aged something or other we came out with a delicious new find. We tried a thyme and rosemary goat cheese with a citrus, ginger, thyme cracker and it was delightful. The location is quiet and even kind of romantic with its little pond and sitting area. They only lost a star because we were hoping for aged cheese going in…though we were content with our purchase and experience.

Pit stop after hiking nearby and visiting Nicasio Valley Cheese farm. Picked up duck fat, triple creamy cheese, THE original breakfast cheese, and a baguette for the picnic experience. Friendly staff. Lake area is beautiful. The baguette was so hard it could have been effective as a weapon--please have better baguette. Did not use the tiolette. Deli closed at 4:00 PM. Big variety to buy. Posted on my facebook page and friends put it on their travel itinetary. May the service be consistently friendly, the baguettes fresh, and others enjoy French Marin as much as we did.

A great roadside cheese shop that you should definitely stop for. Great selection. They have great gift assortments of their cheeses if you are looking for a variety. Very reasonably priced. Helpful employees. Great picnic area. Peaceful. Great for families. This place had a deli so you can order sandwiches or they also have pre made sandwiches if you are in a hurry to get to eating... They also have artisan desserts, salami, crackers, and lots or merchandise.

This place is very cool. They are the oldest cheese company in the country and they have lots of good cheeses in various and convenient sizes. They also sell all the accessories that go along with cheese as well as souvenirs and what not. Beautiful place to stop and relax. They have lots of picnic tables and a manmade lake as well. If you pass by on your way to point reyes be sure to stop by and pick up some brie.

Amazing experience at Marin French Cheese Company. The cheeses were absolutely AMAZING! The customer service from Kristy was TOP NOTCH! She was knowledgeable of all of the cheeses and gave me some great ideas of how to serve and pair some of the cheeses for the holidays. After we purchased a plethora of cheese, we ordered sandwiches from the shop and enjoyed them outside by the pond. Thank you Kristy for the STELLAR customer service!

This is such a cute little cheese store. I recommend going early because they do sell out of their "grab and go" sandwiches pretty quickly. They do have a deli where you can order warm sandwiches and fresh salads. The store is also filled with cute little trinkets and, of course, cheese! They sample a few of their cheeses and a jam. The cheese can get expensive, but I loved that they had a section that was 6 for $40 of different cheeses. It's a great way to try what they have without having to buy a big piece. Once you have purchased your goodies, you can go sit outside on one of the bench seats surrounding the little pond and enjoy the scenery.

Rich and creamy and delicious in a beautiful atmosphere. The Staff provided excellent customer service and delicious samples. And the soft serve ice cream hit the spot sitting by the lake.

Nice location and store. You can get wine, coffee, souvenirs, and ice cream there also! Restrooms were located inside the store and clean. The pond and trees make for a nice spot to enjoy some wine and "cheese," of course.

A good place for foodies. There are some bargains but for the most part, its very $$$. They have a lot of small batch local jams and honey, a small deli and a few picturesque picnic tables to enjoy your cheese. Also they really quite liberal about samples as my wife and I had about a dozen between the two of us. We ended up spending about fifty bucks and had some really nice brie and amazing bread and pepper jelly.

Excellent spot to please your cheesy dreams. Great variety of soft cheeses selection starting from Crème, Camembert, Creamy Brie, Truffle and much more. Place even has a discounted section with sooner expiration date (well over a month). That tells you how well the quality is controlled. Crackers and dry bread are a bit on the pricier side, what do you expect. Has some drinks selection wine, beer. Also a little sandwich shop available on site. Amazing pond with a picnic tables all around it. Beautiful wildlife including ducks and cranes. Highly recommend as a getaway spot.

It is a flat easy hiking. Don’t forget a hat since there almost no shade. There are no picnic tables but some benches spread around. We could see many kinds of birds.

This is just over 2 miles around It's a wonderful place to see a few hundred yards of the Petaluma River! I have seen amazing Swan couples as well as many various shore birds 🐦. Now, with the inner basin filled, it's especially bird filled. I also love to see the other side of the river and from the watching dock the occasional boat

I love this awesome place. There are many kinds of birds that you can hear 🎶 all over the park, especially very early in the morning.

Welcome to Shollenberger Park located in the city of Petaluma, CA! More specifically, the address is 1400 Cader Lane. The entrance to the parking lot is narrow so I would just be aware when pulling in. The location is right next to Petaluma river and people refer to this park sometimes as “Petaluma wetlands.” It is one of the last wetlands of its kind in the country. This park has a 2 mile loop good for walking. On average, it’s about a 38 minute walk. This trail is also good for cycling, and nature watching. There are benches along the trail as well as a picnic bench in the beginning of the trail. This a family-friendly park. The trail is stroller friendly for those who have little ones. I enjoyed watching kiddos running around their families, everyone smiling and laughing even with no playground around. Sometimes schools will plan field trips here for the kids. They have a unique ecosystem and have had 231 different types of birds hanging around here so it’s a good environment to learn and enjoy the view. In the beginning of the trail there are restrooms for both men and women. By these restrooms there is a water fountain for both people and dogs. There are also trash cans so there’s no reason to litter! Especially at Petaluma’s largest and most visited park. There is a fishing pier for those of you who are looking for some fishing spots. As long as you have the proper licensing as well! Dogs are welcome as long as you clean up after them and they are on a leash. There is handicapped parking and the trail is wheel chair accessible since it is a mostly paved concrete road. When I visited this park I enjoyed the views. Although the water was low it is still just as beautiful and scenic. I love how lively this trail is with not only the nature and wildlife, but the people around both locals and visitors. If you’re looking for an easy hiking trail that is kid, pet, and nature friendly I would come here! To the beautiful people of Sonoma county and visitors abroad, whether you’re in it for the sights to see or some exercise, Shollenberger Park is somewhere to stop by.

Walk around the loop and rest at one of the many benches along the way. Cool birds and wildlife. Sunny with no trees looming over. Parking area in dirt and has restroom at beginning. Kind of nestled between office complexes. Awesome place to walk and get exercise.

This is a great park and trail in Petaluma near the wetlands. It is mostly well managed, with pertinent information about each section of the trail along the way. The sections are called stations, and you can scan the barcodes at those stations to know more about it. It was fascinating to read about all of it. We came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and the trail was moderately busy. Some sections are quite muddy, and it can be a little difficult to navigate them, however it’s nothing that one can’t handle. We saw a lot of birds along the trail, and ducks swimming in the river. It took us 2 hours to complete the trail and the cutoff trail that runs over the iron bridge. The cutoff trail leads through Alman Marsh to the Petaluma Marina.The park hours are from sunrise to sunset. While on the trail, we could see the mountains which made for a great viewing. We also saw a few picnic tables near the start of the trail, however they didn’t seem very inviting to sit on. We also saw signs for docent-led tours at Shollenberger and Ellis creek ponds. I’d recommend bringing water and exploring this trail. A light jacket would also be good. A great way to spend your weekend and get some exercise!

Nice little nature preserve in Petaluma. If you’re staying at the Sheraton right by it then I would highly recommend taking a stroll on the trail during your stay. Dog friendly and lots of wild life!

Top 3 on my brewery list. One of the best all around beer experiences I’ve had. I had 2 flights with all varieties and everything was outstanding and the staff was awesome. I was never a big fan of their flagship beers but the brewery beers I am. I had hazies, west coast, porter, stout, the unique cocktail beers (loved) and the tea concoctions which were awesome and I don’t like tea. Definitely a must visit and in my case a must return. Almost forgot the food. Very good. Buffalo fries were top notch

I did a 2 hour and 40 minutes trip from Monterey Ca to Petaluma and all I can say is that I was really disappointed. Place is way too overcrowded and loud . We were never asked if we wanted more drinks and at the gift shop the lady was just watching me like a hawk. I hadn’t even reached the counter to pay for the stuff I was buying when she had already had put it on the register ready to be charged. I felt if she just wanted me out of there as fast as I came in. I instead recommend the 805 Brewery in Paso Robles it’s much better and people are more nicer.

This was a good choice to come out too. The line was a bit long when I went, but they may have been short handed. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. The service is great and friendly. The best part is that you can bring your friendly pup to hang out with you.

There’s a reason that this place prints money… theyve got the drink/ chill algorithm down solid. Great food, better beer, sweet outdoor grass venue for live music. Even the teas and seltzers are brewed to perfection…. And I don’t even like those types of alcoholic beverages. Hands down my favorite place to bring a laptop during lunch, day drink and be semi productive. Shout out to the host Cole, for always taking good care of me. Cheers 🤘

A very bustling brewery with a great indoor and outdoor seating. A flight of beers is recommended for any craft beer enthusiasts while their food bistro pub is more than enough to share any of their single dishes with 2 people. Menu includes kids meals as well. Non alcoholic and tea-like beverages also available. From the limited beer releases (summer 2023) the Toast of Petaluma was our favorite pick. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable about their entire menus and offerings. Outdoor seating and atmosphere is very laid back and friendly. Dogs are welcome as well. Worth a trip out and they offer live music on certain dates during the summer months.

Ordered a flight and asked our waiter to pick for me and they were delicious! It was about $10 for a taste of 4. Order the truffle fries and the pulled pork tacos....pass on the nachos...be prepared to wait a little as they tend to have alot of flow in the weekends....the waiter will give you a heads up. If your starving they can bring root beer or stout beer float out quickly! Totally recommend!

This place has by far the best year that I've ever had and it has even once that you've never tasted before with pots that have fruity flavors and exotic combinations of taste come here for a great Friday or one of the live shows and have the best concerts! And you got to try this burger that we just tried it was called the "finger lickin fried chicken"

Awesome time here on a Thursday afternoon. It’s a pretty well known brewery so I was excited to check it out on my trip. The layout is awesome and sprawling. Cool little venue with music I bet. The menu was loaded with options with interesting flavor options. Solid value too. If I’m back in town I will likely go back

Stopped here while out exploring for a drink and a snack, really nice bar with a good section of beers. There was a hiccup when I was brought my drink and it was a smaller size and they fixed this super quick. We only ordered the brussel sprouts to eat but a great portion size and really tasty.

The beer is fantastic. Had a flight and really enjoyed it. We also ordered nachos, and frankly, they are the worst ones I've ever had. The cheese is like Velveeta and within 2 minutes became a sticky, gloopy mess. The chicken is so measly, that if it was 3 tablespoons' worth, I would be surprised. The nachos are the cheap, heavily fried ones with bubbles. Finally, the other reason for the 3 stars is that the waiter who brought our drinks, holding the glasses from the top, so that all of his fingers touched the rims. Unsanitary and just yuck!

Went for a brewery and tasting tour Jen, Larry and Tyler were fantastic for organising and then Larry doing the tour! We decided to stay for food and a beer after which was great, everyone was really friendly and the food was really good. Would recommend!

If you get a table inside the bar, no need to get on the line. If you want to seat outdoor, get on the line, it may take 30min ish to be seated on the weekends. Food -The coleslaw, cheese popper, pulled pork nacho and spicy chicken sandwich were delicious!! Their food is on point!

We had the absolute best time!! Our tour guide Tyler was hilarious and we went with our family of 6. It was a great experience and we would recommend to everyone!

Came here on a weekend and though you can find some good deals, there are no restaurants. They have vending machines! Though I found two food trucks but that was it. Don’t go there hungry unless you just want to shop. It’s not like any other outlet stores around the Bay Area, this one seems to be struggling to survive.

This shopping center has an amazing selection of stores. The place is huge. You can easily get lost if you don't pay attention to where you park. So many great stores. Impossible to choose one as my favorite. I highly recommend a trip here if you have never been before.

Found a friend's store had moved to the outlets. Found a cat/ kitten adoption location. Found a new place to donate that helps the cats/kittens looking forever homes. Win - Win big time.

Went exploring at the Village Outlet stores today and was transported to the ancient Orient by way of the Home and Tea Boutique. Was pleasantly surprised to find this tantalizing jewel amongst the standard offerings of the mall. The store offers a variety of unique items that would make extraordinary gifts.

Unfortunately 2/3 of stores are closed. Looks like the mall is going out of business. However, they have a great book store / cat adoption store. My daughter spent 2 hours there.

I had to go here because I ordered new clothes online from Carter's for my new grandbaby. They delivered to the store for free and when I got there and noticed they had 40% off on more clothes so of course I had to shop and park her some more. I like the shopping center especially during the week it's not crowded and all the shops are very close together.

Large outlet mall with a decent selection of stores, but it felt super empty.

Went to both Clarks Shoe Store and Levi's jeans store. At both stores, the employees were very helpful and knew their products. A very pleasant shopping experience.

A ‘medioker’ outlet mall at best. Empty spaces, limited parking. No places to eat. Maybe a couple interesting stores but nothing to go out of the way for. I’d recommend Vacaville Outlets or (a bit farther) Livermore Outlets.

A great book store designed and run by people who really appreciate pets and animals and donate their proceeds to supporting care for these type of animals. They have a great selection of books at great prices.

This outlet is almost half empty. Pretty sad because they used to be full. There are acouple of good stores. But hopefully they can revamp it. Cause it isn't the same. Gone down hill

Pretty disappointing selection of stores. More of a mini mall than outlet mall. Only thing with a good selection was the sports collectibles store.

No problem parking, the outlets were not so busy on the day we visited. There are a good number of stores but it is a lot smaller than some of their other sites

Pretty good selections of stores but not as big compared to other outlets. The sorrounding is always clean and the taco truck in the front is great addition especially when get famish after an all day shopping galore.

Mixed reviews on this place. They had a few of the stores I prefer to shop at, but not alot of stores overall. One of the best things at an outlet is to get deals and try new places you may not normally shop. That opportunity was not there. I liked the sports memorabilia store and the chocolate store. Found some cool shoes for my son at the Nike outlet and a bag for me at coach, so overall (as usual) spent more than I should but am very happy with what I purchased. Honestly this place look like most malls. More empty spots than stores. I can say the bathrooms were clean and didn't smell like a public restroom. The staff in each store I entered were friendly a greeted me with energy (which I lime very much). Some stores were almost too clean to shop, hated to mess up their folds and displays, looking for my size. If you shop at any of these stores, it's a great place to visit, not alot of traffic but I was there on a weekday late afternoon. Not sure if traffic picks up on weekends, but I had a great experience getting full attention and chatting with the salespeople. Ended up spending much more time in each store just having random conversations. Made light the end of my workday. Since I don't live in the area, it was nice putstop before my 2-3 hr drive back home.

Great place to take your young one to burn off some energy and sharpen their balance skills, I take my granddaughter every time I visit and just pay the drop in cost of $15

I just went to charge my car (in the rear of the mall). It was Black Friday and no charging stations were available due, in part, to people parking there and not charging. On such predictable days it would behoove security to station an officer full-time to ensure proper use of these spaces and to tow away abusers.

Honestly can't go wrong shopping there they always seem to have great deals I have been shopping there for many years now and will continue to.

An excellent place to shop, I was passing by with my family and we love that place. It has some shops were tucks were you can buy some snacks and drinks, restrooms and fun areas for children to hang out. Some of the stores I can remember are Oshkosh, Carter's, Convers, Adidas, Nike, American eagle, Aeropostale, Gap, Old Navy, and much more. An awesome place to go shop.

Its as decent as you can get it. Obviously having a saks 5th outlet, a nike outlet and a few over stores like vans and adidas makes this shopping center attractive

Recent rains make this look as green as Ireland!! Wonderful views of Petaluma and of western Sonoma hills.Great place for a quick hike. Dogs must be on leash. Horses and Bikes on trails.

What a beautiful park to hike or take a walk! It is just so relaxing here. And the scenery just beautiful with green rolling hills.

Gorgeous place for a hike, lots of optional loops you can take or not to adjust the length of your hike to the needs and desires of whoever you may be with.

This park is wonderful for Hiking, mountain biking or Horse back riding. The trails are well maintained and have benches to sit and enjoy the views. I have been coming here for years taking my daughters fishing in the pond. Come out and enjoy the park with its abundance of wildlife and view of rolling hills. There is also a picnic area with playground for kids…

We really enjoyed the great view from this short and easy 2.5 mile hike, overlooking cities below the expanse open space! Chatting under a shady tree, BONUS!

Unfortunately since COVID-19 this wonderful hiking park has been discovered by many. Fortunately you can hike the trails early in the morning and enjoy the quiet solitude this easy to get to park has to offer. Do stay on the trails due to the poison oak .

It's small, but the trails and views have enough variety to keep you interested the whole hike. It's an excellent back yard for the Petaluma community. Mountain Biking and Equestrian use make this a definite on leash experience for dogs.

This park is really close to home. It is very popular with families and there are a lot of folks who use this park all the time. It is well maintained and the trails are well traveled. There is an equestrian parking lot. For me personally it is too crowded and too small. But I hike alone and prefer solitude. If you are a more social person you will love this park!

Well kept secret in Petaluma, their park is spacious, multiple rolling hills and views of more. Many bicyclists and Hikers, casual walkers, families, and a healthy diversity of people, It has many access points, and spacious parking lots

It's a nice little park. Reminiscent of the East Bay hills, because it's somewhat on the dry side. Make sure to pay the $7 at the parking lot, or you'll be ticketed $53! (I know of which I speak...) Most trails loop around. You can't get lost there. Dogs on leash only.

We went to this park on a Sunday in August. The park was mostly dry, but we enjoyed our time here. There are quite a few trails here, and the people are nice too. They’ve a parking lot here too, which I presume isn’t free. We did the panorama trail, and the smell of wood and nature took us into another world. I’ll be back here to explore other trails when I’m in Petaluma. The mobile network wasn’t available here for us(T-Mobile), and we didn’t have a car, so we had to walk some distance away from the park to book an Uber, in case that helps anyone.

Great open area for hiking and walking, some of the hillsides can be a little steep; I recommend starting at the entrance on the right. There are some wonderful views of the surrounding area. Everything was a little dry but that's to be expected at this time of year. Good views and nice people, everyone was wearing a mask :)

Sandwiches packed full of fresh BBQ meat and local cheese, and the ice cream can't be beat (I love the Meyer lemon!)

We were very excited to stumble upon this place, we love supporting local businesses. Service was fine, stock in the store was pretty cleaned out, cheese prices are high but it is organic, I just can't spend $35 for a bag of shredded cheese. Good ice cream and a great little place to sit outside. Wish they have tours for less than a group of at least ten, with two weeks reservations and $20 per person.
