Amazing Experience. Definitely the best winery experience we’ve ever had! Amazing pergola covered patio intertwined with grape vine greenery and beautiful hanging flower baskets that overlooked the vineyard and surrounding hills. Misters to keep you cool while seated at comfortable patio tables eating from a large selection of cheeses, meats, olives and spreads out of the wine shop or order off the menu for pizza, smoked meats or salad. Vegan options available. Enjoy watching an old fashioned steam engine tour train pass below and over a bridge. Visit the beer and wine saloon or gelato/sorbet bar. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The wines tasting flights offered 5 selections. The wine shop had a good selection of gifting options. Family friendly atmosphere yet very classy and comfortable. Must visit winery!

Super cute place and a fun tasting... our large group from BC Wine Appreciation Society enjoyed a fun tasting and a great lunch! A fun place to stop with beer as well wine and the food was delicious. We had BBQ and pizza. So good! The views are stunning as well!! Thanks so much to Kristen for organizing it all making us all feel so welcome.

Love that as Wine Club members we can now book a table. Although the food; wine; beer and service, not to mention the views are well worth any wait! Came along for Easter Sunday to while away the afternoon. Picnic basket, craft beer and my favourite Hush Rose paired with the most amazing pizzas. We had a beautiful afternoon. Kristen and her team always make us very welcome. Will be back very soon and many times this year for sure!!

This winery vineyard is one of my favorite in BC. The place itself looks amazing, the building is one of a kind. The theme is hilarious and intriguing. They sell both homemade beers and wines that are all delicious. Prices are affordable. Can get quite busy, better off reserving in case.

Always wonderful! I reccomend this place for everyone. They are not stuck up and they have delicious wine that is absolutely fantastic. They are not intimidating and they are so down to earth. I can't say which wine is the best as I love every single one of their wines and the price point is so great that you can buy lots. This makes their wine club worth it to especially for us Calgary people who can't just drive here to get all of the selections they have. Please visit this place you will not be disappointed!

I was so excited to finally stop in for lunch at dirty laundry. Although the views were wonderful, I found the staff was less than welcoming. To boot, in what seems like an effort to speed up your experience, most interactions are done on a kiosk. It was one of the first days of spring and I understand you need to train staff, however, leaving us for 5 minutes during a wine tasting to help other customers as your staff did not know how to ring them in, is not acceptable. Our pizza was also undercooked. Unfortunately I will not be back.

What an outstanding experience at this wonderful, award winning winery!! We did the Elevated Tasting and it was awesome! GREAT wines expertly paired with well matched bites and a comprehensive explanation of each wine by a highly trained member of the Dirty Laundry team, Belinda. And of course we had to buy some bottles to take home. Thank you! Bravo!!! We’ll be back!

This is such a cute winery in Summerland. The staff are so wonderful and the service is just so great. The story behind it is actually quite interesting so I'm glad we got to stop here and check it out. Its great that they have such a wonderful patio as well where you can hang out and eat/drink.

Great food and environment. You must try their ＂Veggy Vixen pizza ＂. Highly recommended。 You have to order your meals through machine, and pick up meals by yourself. It is no problem to me.

If you are in the general area of Summerland/Penticton, then you must stop by Dirty Laundry Vineyard. A unique experience accompanied by beer on tap as well as oven roasted pizza, too good to pass up. Wine is great too!

Beautiful location, great patio, and lovely food. The only strange thing about this winery is that it feels oddly cold and automated because you spend more time interacting with technology (order screens and cut-outs/posters) than actual vintners. It feels like a “wine-o-mat”. If you don’t mind that oddity, a great patio to enjoy a glass and bite.

Such a special day out on the steam train! We booked for the bruch train and unfortunately they had to cancel it due to staff shortages, but we opted to still take the scenic train ride and we were glad we did. We had a wonderful time! We have a 17 month old so we booked the inside closed cart, and were very happy with our choice. We'd love to return for the themed train robbery!

All Aboard!! Ride the historic Kettle Valley Railway and get a glimpse of the past in the present. Featuring an immaculately preserved 1912 Steam Engine you will glide the rails past vineyards, orchards, vistas and over a deep gorge while crossing the Trout Creek Trestle bridge. Sat back and soak in the incredible views but always keep an eye out for bandits! Family friendly, great for couples and fit for wine lovers! 🚂🍇🧺☀️🥂🍷🥇

This was such a great experience. We stayed in the coach. I had my niece with me and she was 6. I thought it would have been long for her being 90 minutes, but the conductor gave us cards to find different items along the way. She was so thrilled with this. We saw 3 little bears napping in a tree, along with other great sights. Excellent for kids and adults

Great fun and absolutely stunning views. We did the “Great Train Robbery” version and it was fantastic. The crew made it really fun with a gunfight and robbery (all proceeds went to a local charity), and a yummy bbq after. So much fun.

We did the Train Robbery and BBQ here as a family. The train ride was really cool with some amazing views. The train trestle bride was particularly neat. My boys really enjoyed the robbery. The staff and volunteers are all fantastic, shows that they all really enjoy their time on this adventure. The BBQ was impressive, great selection of food and the roast beef was unreal. Smokey, tender and the perfect level of doneness. This alone is worth the visit, but when combined with the train ride its something not to miss. Highly recommend.

This is a must see and do. Enjoyed every second of it. Like stepping back in time. Great for all ages and abilities. Cool gift shop with great items.

It's such a good time to go on the kettle valley railway. The conductor was a great host talking over the speakers information about summerland and the Kettle valley railroad. Breathtaking views and a great experience. Seats are assigned (which is great), as people tend to crowd the platform. Had the hot apple cider, it was delicious. They have more in the gift shop as well. Would recommend riding in the open air cars on nice days and to dress warm in the cooler season.

What a great experience, and the volunteers really make it even better. We had some amazing views, while riding the train, and it was really cool to get to experience the way people once travelled.

We went for a ride to celebrate my son's 3rd Birthday. It was first time for him to see and experience real train trip. Everyone had great experience. It was fun. Views are beautiful. Employees are very welcoming and friendly.

What a great immersive experience that puts the visitor back to an earlier time. I highly recommend for all ages (though not babies due to the sound volume of the steam engine and train whistle). The Summerland countryside in May is lush and the view of trout creek was spectacular.

What a wonderful experience! An all-volunteer crew makes the trip even more worthwhile. They're struggling for ridership this year due to fires and tourist advisories, but this is an experience we should all try to keep alive! Show your support and visit... often!

So much fun taking the Kettle Valley Steam Rail. First time taking a steam rail ride. Booked online and reserved seat. Hint all the attractions on the left side. When booking seat, look at seat chart with engine in front of closed train cars and then book on left side. Commentary was well done. Volunteers are the success for the ride and many thanks to them. Gift shop available when checking in. Bring a light sweater/jacket just in case, even in a hot day, as higher elevation and train speed could surprise. Bit of a break at end before engine changes to opposite end of passenger cars. Lots of available parking. Well worth the time/money when in Summerland.

We came down to look at the train on a Saturday afternoon but it wasn't running. Fortunately the crew was there getting ready for the next day and they allowed us to take a look at the engine up close. My grandson thought it was amazing

This place is really freaking cool, especially if you are into history and trains. The train ride was an amazing and picturesque hour and a half trip through the farms and vineyards of western Summerland. The conductor also commentates throughout the ride on the history of the railway and the surrounding region. I cannot recommend this place enough to everyone!

Took my girlfriend out to the winery to check it out and we were taken aback by how wonderful it all was. The vineyard itself is absolutley beautiful, got to admire the scenery as we ate a delicious lunch in the grass. The staff is so amazing and pleasant all the time, our server was an absolute delight!! The Chef definitely knew what he was doing, the food was to die for!!! Even managed to pair the meal up with the perfect bottle of wine, we will be coming back here again for sure! It's the perfect place to go for a excellent little date, I would recommend everyone in the area to go check it out and enjoy all that they have to offer!!

Lots changed since the last time I was here. I'm particular, the implementation of Covid-19 protocols. Great job implementing and staff adhering to. As usual, the service and the wine tasting were terrific. A special shout out to John C, our sommelier. A wonderful place to experience wine tasting.

Amazing tasting of some great wines from Black Sage and Sumac Ridge. Jim was incredible with his knowledge and expertise of the wine making process. We learned so much and Jim made sure we had a great experience. Will definitely be returning!

Visited Sumac Ridge Estate Winery and tried a taster flight from Black Sage. I got the $8 flight but I didn't quite like it. I think I would have preferred the $15 as I don't like dessert wines, but I couldn't quite understand the French man who was explaining it to me because he had an accent + he was muffled by the mask.

We were just some smelly campers stopping in, but they treated us like gold, gave us the most delicious wine, and made us laugh. It was wonderful.

Showed up as social hour was starting. We had some great sliders and crab cakes to hold us over til dinner. Shar loves their black sage label wines so we picked up some whites and reds for home. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately we could not stay longer and see more of the property but we did enjoy our time there.

We had a wonderful experience tasting today! Leighton, our service representative, was phenomenal! His friendly and energetic style were the perfect accompaniment the fantastic wines we tried! We will definitely be coming back!

We visited this winery first time. What a great experience. Everything was great- tasting room is Beautiful, very rustic and elegant. Kristal( the young lady who served us) was amazing! Super bubbly personality, knowledgeable, fun! All the wine that we tasted were so good! We'll be definitely back. Thank you for the grat experience 🥰🥰🥰

It used to be a good winery, and every year we’d come for a tasting, buy a box of assorted wines and leave till next year after a pleasant experience. Not this year, and we probably won’t be back. Many more decent wineries around with a better customer service. Almost empty tasting room (1 person), and we were turned out because we didn’t have a reservation. I’d say, it’s a bit weird in an off season (mid-September) to throw away customers like that, but we’ll leave our money in a more friendly winery. We ended up buying a box as we initially planned, just not from 8th generation.

We had an amazing time thanks to the wine tasting done by Collin and his assistant. We enjoyed the wines and the winary overall! Inside is very modern and outside lots of space to enjoy a glass of wine! Will be back!

I just wanted to say how much I love this winery. The wines are consistently delightful, year after year. Be sure to stock up on the bubbles and rosé! Also, the tasting room team, and owners are always friendly, knowledgeable and make our annual visit a ton of fun. Thanks for all you do! I will continue to send friends and family there for the wine and the experience.

This wine is amazing. I can't stop thinking about some of the things I tried here. The garden space outside is dog friendly, inside is not because they serve food. The garden was STUNNING, so peaceful. The tasting was good, it was a little too much history for me personally but I'm sure people like that. Wanted a bit more info on the wines themselves.

Very friendly, very knowledgeable, defiantly a winery with family history. Seeing the family pictures on the wall was sure nice to see. Eight generations and the current wine makers wife is a 10th generation wine grower. We visited 5 wineries that day and this was the only one we made a purchase. That kinda says it all. Thanks and we'll be back .....

Well thanks Diane for a great tasting with lots of knowledgeable info on the wines, winemaker etc. You were in fact sold out of the Rosé but with a selection of great wines we were able to bring home a few wines. Ps, I was able to find the Rosé when I got home at Everything wine, it did not disappoint

Best experience at a winery we have had so far! This man explained the story well, explained the wine process very well and made it interesting. He would ask questions and then just let us be to taste and chat. The Blanc de Noir 2022 made from pinot meunier grapes was the most unique and delightful wine I’ve ever had!! The Riesling 2022 was incredibly light and a bit sweet- so easy to drink on a beautiful day on the patio. A tasting here is a must! The outside atmosphere is perfect.

Recommended by locals. No view. No bistro. Just good wines and good service. The lady serving the wines was friendly and willing to chat. Tried both whites and reds. Integrity is my favourite. Pleasant aroma and flavours of apricot, pear and soft citrus. It is a "frizzante" - a Prosecco-style wine with soft tiny bubbles. Unique.

We made an impromptu visit to this winery during our stay in Kelowna. My husband & I sat and enjoyed a sublime bottle of 2016 Gewurztraminer on the patio while listening to live jazz. It was perfect on a scorching hot day as they have misting fans running and plenty of shaded areas. The view from the patio is absolutely spectacular; I could have stayed out there for hours. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Great value for a tasting experience in Summerland. Lots of wines to try at good price points. Dog friendly is a bonus.

Our group of 35 from the British Columbia Wine Appreciation Society had a wonderful tasting here on Saturday. Thank you so much to the staff for the tasting and the delicious wines. I was impressed with how you split the group so you could take walk ins. And sitting on the patio with the stunning views was lovely.

Love the vibe so much it’s our tradition for Saturdays now. You cannot beat the view. The tastings are fun and thoughtful but no pressure. The wines wear a lot of medals for a reason. Adore this place.

Danny who was serving us really helped make us feel welcome and showed a lot of passion when explaining about the wine. The tasting price and portion is probably the best I have seen throughout the 10 wineries we've visited.

The staff were fun and informative, the Pinot Meunier was so unique and pleasant! Nothing like anything we've tried elsewhere in our few days in the Okanagan. The tasting was complimentary, and there was no limit to how many wines you could sample. All around wonderful experience.

We went to Thornhaven on a whim because they said they allowed pets on the patio and in their tasting room. It was such a great experience! We brought our own lunch on the patio and ordered a bottle of wine. They then brought us a plate of grapes and plums and treats for our puppy. We then did a wine tasting. Everything was delicious!! We ended up buying several bottles. We can't say enough about how welcomed we felt, especially the puppy! Thank you so much.

We had a great experience at this winery. We dropped in without a reservation and they were able to do a tasting for us. The woman who provided the wines for us to taste was very friendly and knowledgeable. She may have been one of the owners. It was getting close to closing time so we asked if we had time to order a glass of wine to enjoy on the patio. She said yes and that we could actually stay for as long as we liked, but asked that we leave our wine glasses by the door and shut the gate on our way out. We enjoyed the wine and the hospitality. Beautiful place, lots to see, I love how some of the plants are labeled. Made for a gorgeous walk. Weddings, outting are also held here.

Heard about the annual springplant sale from a neighbour and was blown away by this historical, verdant gem. The ground are a labour of love tended by volunteers. Much in bloom in early May and much more to come as the growing season progresses. Family-friendly and wheel-chair accessible.

A lovely ornamental garden. Spread out over a wide area, so it will take you a bit of time to explore. We were there near the end of May so a lot of the flowers were late spring blooms. From what I saw, you would potentially see more/different flowers blooming throughout the summer. Entrance is by donation. $5 is recommended. You have to drive past the main entrance to get to the main parking lot. Great location for wedding photos. Beautiful flowers and some nice views!

Had honeymoon at Summerland and was told this place was awesome! But early April doesn't have anything. Nothing is blooming, just starting to grow. We couldn't find the other trails to the train tracks. See pictures. $5 donation I wish we had time to do this during summer. This place would have been lovely because the name of the plants are supposed to have nice blooms. We will come back for sure. -1 🌟 because it's only for summer. Nice view probably in winter with the snow but not for April.

Fun little garden at have nice break from the wine tours. Oh also the KVR train is visible when it does it’s tours at 10:30 and 1:30. So around 10:30 is a good time to expect a train.

Great place for a walk/picnic. Make sure you Go see the canyon! Lots of flowers on spring/summer

Absolutely stunning garden. I was surprised how unpopulated such a beautiful garden was. This is surely a hidden gem. Make sure to bring some cash to donate to the garden, $5 is recommended. I love gardening and understand the work put into this massive garden...truly inspiring.
