A conflicting feel on the effort of what you have to do in order to experience this beautiful place. We did a good amount of research before attempting here. We woke at 3:30am and ventured out for an hour drive here. Coming down Lake Louise Drive, you will not be allowed to make the left into Moraine Lake Rd so need to drive to lake Louise and double back and HOPEFULLY they allow you to get into Moraine Lake Rd. if the lot is full then the attendants there will wave you off and you will have to go back in town, double back and try again. Arriving here at 5am, luckily there was 2 parking spots left on this tiny parking lot. We thanked the gods and then slept in the car until sunrise. You can take the short climb up to the rockpiles left of the lake but it will be a mod of people and picture takers here that will stay for longer times, but the view of the lake here is breathtaking. Afterwards you can take the path on the right side of the lake and enjoy a less-people experience of lake side or venture into the lake bed for more grounded shots. It can be a once in a lifetime thing but for me once in a life time is enough. Perhaps you may get a better chance of finding a parking spot if you come later when the morning crowd is finished and they are leaving and freeing up spots. Bathrooms here are pit toilets only so prepare mentally.

Absolutely breathtaking and so very peaceful! And yes the water does look exactly like the photos, no filter added!! Personal vehicles are not allowed, only for accessibility purposes, so purchase you shuttle ride ahead of time on Parks Canada recommendation is 48hrs before. Shuttle takes you from Lake Louise resort to Moraine then another from Moraine to Lake Louise and back, very efficient and you can enjoy the view.

Amazing! Almost unbelievable. I thought Lake Louise was turquoise but this spot is SO MUCH MORE MAGNIFICENT! Both spots are a must visit but the water here is spectacular.

Amazing view. Beautiful emerald green lake. You can climb up to the hill with rocks and will see fantastic landscape from there.

Highly recommend the parks Canada shuttle! Friendly folks and they stay exactly on time so you can rely on them. The earlier in the morning, the better during the summer months. If you go along the lake, it’s less crowded. The canoe rentals look beautiful. It was $140 for up to 3 people per canoe.

The MOST beautiful place in Canada. Without a doubt the place that’s a must to visit. There is a nice souvenir and little snack shop also. The canoe rental was expensive but totally worth it, it adds an additional layer to the experience of our visit. On a side note, there is no cellular network signal when I went but there was a pay phone!

Went to Banff in summer of 2021. Personally I like here better than Lake Louise. I was mind blown. The color of the lake is insanely beautiful.

Best lake near Banff! The parking lot does fill up fast but we did get lucky in finding a spot, perhaps it was low season. The lake is a beautiful turquoise blue and the little hike up the top of the rocks gave us a nice view from above. Would highly recommend the hike if you’re somewhat physically capable.

Took a private shuttle to the lake and it was fuss-free and convenient. Alternatively, you can take a bus from the Park & Ride in Lake Louise but you have to book in advance. If you’re not driving, you can actually take a free shuttle from near the visitors’ centre to the Park & Ride. Do not miss out on this view!! It’s really not that difficult to get there and is absolutely worth it. Many others were having a little picnic while enjoying the view of the lake and the Ten Peaks. I did too, with cup noodles (just remember to bring a tumbler of hot water 😉).

The scenery is absolutely stunning. Every visit, the weather varies, and the color of the lake is always different. Although taking the shuttle can be a bit inconvenient, the beauty is worth it.

Environment was so peace and calm with positive vibes. Breathtaking view from every corner. The lake was amazing with cleanliness and fresh water smell. The mountain was damn beautiful.It's a perfect weekend with friends and family.

Hands down, the most beautiful place I have ever been in my life. Is this place busy? Absolutely. Is it worth the crowds, the waits, the parking lots, and having to take a bus from a parking lot to the lake? ABSOLUTELY. Do not miss Moraine Lake! I parked in a parking lot a ways away as the closer one was full and took a bus to the lake. I visited in August and one day had shorts on and was swimming in Emerald Lake, then the day I went to Moraine Lake there were specs of snow while on the bus ride up. There were tourists for sure, but there were also plenty of spots to sit and take in the incredible view without it being obstructed by others visiting. Again, do not miss this place!

Moraine Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever been to! The lake is serene and the powder blue water is absolutely surreal! The mountain range surrounding the lake looks like jagged arrowheads and adds a great dynamic to this wonderful place. It does get crowded and people will definitely get in the way of pictures. It was surprising how easy it was to get here from the parking lot. That being said the parking lot fills up quick and they close down the road when it fills up so get there as soon as you can. We tried going multiple times and only got in once due to the closures so keep that in mind. Of all the places I visited in Canada I would put this up on the list due to the sheer beauty of this lake!

I love this place, it is always amazing, breathtaking views, a lot of activities to do, from viewing, hiking, kayaking or boating, a side there are different services at the hotel. Take in mind currently there is a ban for the private cars to reach the lake, you have to use the buses, reserve and pay online.

Moraine Lake is an amazing destination, but there are some important things to know before you go. The primary mode of transportation to the lake is by shuttle buses, and it's advisable to book them in advance. I used the "Moraine Lake Bus Company" and had a great experience with it. Once you arrive, you'll find an information pop-up for hikers and the general public, as well as plenty of public bathrooms. The Moraine Lodge Lodge features a small cafe and a gift shop, and there's also a canoe rental available. Of course, the main attraction is the stunning and vast lake itself. I highly recommend bringing your own kayak, paddleboard, or any other inflatable watercraft to fully enjoy the lake. However, be prepared for the water to be extremely cold. Make sure your equipment is inflatable, as it needs to fit in the shuttle bus. The hiking trails are family-friendly, and there were many families around when I visited. However, the area can get overcrowded, so keep that in mind when planning your trip. For more challenging hikes, check with the information staff from the parks. You're allowed to bring your own food and supplies, but be sure to check with your shuttle company about any limitations on the number of items you can bring. In summary, Moraine Lake offers a beautiful day surrounded by its crazy blue water. Just keep in mind the transportation restrictions and the potential crowds, and you'll have a fantastic time exploring this stunning lake and its scenic surroundings.

Spectacular and awe inspiring. The water is a vivid neon blue like no other lake I've seen before and surrounded by the Canadian Rockies, giving it a surreal view. Easy family friendly trails around most of the lake. Absolutely stunning making it one of my favorite places on this earth.

A beautiful combination of mountains, logs, rocks and blue water. Such a magnificent destination is great for weddings and such. You can sit there all day. Bring family, friends or date. Whatever you do don't bother with the logs. Read the reason on the sign posted there.

Moraine Lake has a really small parking lot so if you want a spot, you better get there around 2-3am or in the evening around sunset or later. Beautiful view. Take the short trail up to the Lookout spot on the rocks above the lake, especially if you go for sunset. Or rent a canoe or bring your own kayak to paddle around the lake.

Plan ahead for the shuttle that takes you to the lake, hike loop around the lake is pretty much flat but lake changes colors as you reach the falls at the end of the loop. Great to capture reflections of the lake, glaciers partially visible

This one is a notch above Lake Louise, but they are both breathtakingly beautiful and completely different shades of blue. This was a bucket list item that lived up to the hype, and then some. (Pictures from early Oct 2023)

This is Moraine Lake, and the pictures speak for themselves. It is hard to put into words how beautiful this place is. Make sure to book reservation tickets way in advance or the last minute ones. We also paddle boarded on the lake, you can bring your own boards as long as they have been dried properly and you fill out the proper permit. We spent time hiking around the lake as well as enjoying the time. If you take the last bus up it didn’t seem as crowded as when we went up in the morning. We were lucky to have a break from the smoke, but we absolutely recommend seeing the beauty of this place.

One of the most stunning, picturesque places not just in Canada, but in the world. Moraine Lake is beautiful any time of the day but especially at sunrise. In the summer months you may even catch the Milky Way behind the mountains on a clear sky. It can get very crowded but the new rules may help. Pay attention to access before May and in or after October this place shuts down. Be sure to do the canoe ride!

Most scenic places I have visited . Count yourself lucky if there is sun when you visit moraine lake .Its most of the time drizzling or raining there (carry umbrella) . You have a short hike and rent canoes during the summer periods .

Very beautiful spot! The water is very blue. It's definitely a popular destination with lots of tourists swarming along the lookout points. We parked and took the tour bus here and to Lake Louise.

This was an unplanned stop and my partner and I were pleasantly surprised by both the scenery and how enjoyable the hikes were around the lake. Informative panels talked about the history of the area, the native flora and fauna, and a great viewpoint at the end of the trail produced some great pictures of the unearthly blue waters.

One of my favourite stops along the Icefield parkway. The walk is short in distance but has a steep elevation going to the viewpoint. The bright aqua colour lake and mountains behind make this one of the most amazing views in the Banff/Jasper area. The parking lot was empty during a weekday evening visit.

Insanely beautiful. The crowds were not too bad at late morning. The hike up to Bow Summit Lookout is not easy but worth the view. Many hikers spotted bears along this trails so have a bear spray ready and make lots of noise while walking.

Embark on a brief 10-minute trail journey, and you'll arrive at the panoramic viewpoint. The scenery is nothing short of spectacular, featuring azure lakes set against the backdrop of pristine white snow-capped mountains, creating a mesmerizing tableau of natural beauty that can only be described as otherworldly.

Incredibly picturesque viewpoint at the end of a short uphill trek! Beautiful blue waters of Peyto Lake look surreal and is an iconic viewpoint in Alberta. The short but somewhat challenging hike up a narrow trail to the viewpoint dock is definitely worth it for the views and pictures! This spot is generally very crowded and the parking lots will be quite full resulting in multiple drive-arounds to find a vacant space. Check this view out if you’re able!

The beauty of the lake make this place so unreal. This place became one of my most favorite places of all time when i came here. And when the water hits direct sunlight, it becomes so bright and pretty. But you need to have a bit of walking to the Peyto Lake. So if you want to go here make sure you’re ready for the walk. But it’s actual just like 500m long so you dont have really to worry about the walk

I went to Peyto Lake because I could not find a parking spot at Lake Louise and we decided to go for a trip to Jasper and on the way there we saw this beautiful lake just less than an hour from Lake Louise. It took us about half an hour walking up on the pavement to see the view point. It’s built for wheelchairs. Parking is easy to find and it’s not busy at all. The pictures I took are no filter at around 8.45 am.

Short steep hike for about 0.5 miles and the view is mesmerizing! A popular filming location too, colors and the shape is marvelous. No need for hiking shoes since it’s a paved path but it you plan to stroll around, there are rough patches so prepare accordingly.

We enjoyed the hike and the view of Peyto Lake. This is a must visit in Jasper, BC.

Unreal and absolutely jaw dropping beautiful. The lake is an amazing Turquoise Blue color, and is surrounded by amazing mountains. The lower parking lot is abput 0.6 mile to the viewing deck. There is an upper parking lot, but that's for public buses, if you come late in the evening, you could park there, when the buses are not running and thats a 5 minute walk to the observation deck. A must stop if you're on hwy 93 to Jasper.

I recently visited Peyto Lake in Alberta, and I must say, it was an absolutely breathtaking experience. The moment I laid eyes on the lake, I was mesmerized by the incredible color and the stunning view that unfolded before me. It's as if nature itself decided to paint the waters with the most vivid shades of blue, creating a scene that looks almost surreal. The color is so striking and vibrant that it's hard to believe it's real.

The most beautiful place is Jasper National Park. The walk to the viewpoint is not easy and people struggling to walk will have a hard time. Else that that, this is a must see Lake i Jasper! Enjoy!

A short but steep hike up a paved pathway to the lake viewpoint is well worth it! The day we visited Peyto Lake was a bit smoky but still beautiful. There are no picnic tables at the viewpoint, just a bench along the pathway.

A very beautiful lake shaped like a dog! Waterfalls can be seen in the distance falling from the glacier and a few streams from there joining the lake. The hike is short but steep and it starts from the parking lot. Went there in the evening and parking was almost empty.

Gorgeous! Various trails and vantage points for all skill levels to view the lake. Peyto is well worth the drive from Banff in and of itself, and there are so many other great stops along the way to enjoy the beautiful scenery I recommend setting aside the half day to explore the area.

No problem to walk up in the wintertime. From parking lot to viewing platform not more than 15 min and we walked not fast.

Hike road was concrete and stiff (going uphill). There are some resting spot throughout the hike. No picnic benches available or shaded sitting area. There is overlook view point. Beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. Pictures are not doing justice. Absolutely must! This hike is handicapped accessible path to the end. Hike can be finished in an hour so people are in/out quite often. Loved the hike!

The reality is, Moraine Lake and Lake Louise are flat out crowded and unless you arrive first thing in the morning during peak season, chances are you will not find parking. What I learned is Banff is FULL of glacier fed lakes; you know that special blue water we all crave? Pictures don't even due this lake justice. Word to the wise, Peyto Lake is right off route 93. When you enter the area about 45 KM south of the lake, you will not have cell coverage. Is this really a bad thing though? The main observation deck for me was overwhelming with the casual on looker. But for an unhindered view of the lake, head down the small path to the right of the overlook tower and find you a spot with nobody in your way. Your pictures will be breathtaking. For the real adventurer though, get back in your car and head north on 93 and look out for a small pull off on your left. Head down that trail. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Another must see place in jasper, for the colors and the lake and the glacier. Of you don't want to walk up hill, park at the top parking spot, which is wheelchair accessible and stroller accessible for kids.

Quite expensive food options and a bit too fancy. Nice lake outside the hotel and great for skating in the colder times of the year. Staff were wonderful and always cheerful to work. Pool was open and gym was really nice and clean. The outdoor bar was really cool and made of ice.

I love this place. The views alone make it worth the distance and location. Service is top-notch. The amenities are incredible. The shops and food are great. All staff take care of all guests. The only downside? It's far away from everything else (except for Moraine Lake and the Lake Louise Village itself). But if you've got a view like below, who would wanna leave?

Our first night here we were tired and hungry. We went to the Alpine social and had the best service. And an excellent meal. Shae was our server and she was amazing! Darsh was the manager and he was amazing! They were warm welcoming and the most gracious of hosts. The kitchen staff was on point because our meals were spectacular! We dined with them on 7/16/23. Thank you for being so great!!!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff did a great job. There are many restaurants here and all the ones we tried had great drinks, food and service. The view of the lake is spectacular, with many large windows in the lobby and restaurants looking directly out, as well as outdoor seating. The property is very well maintained. The wifi is stable and speedy.

I simply cannot say enough about this magnificent hotel, in this magnificent location, and all of the magnificent people who work here. I have never in my life experienced this level of quality and care and attention to detail. The level of customer service is simply incredible. At every turn your every need and desire is anticipated and gracefully offered to you. The views are breathtaking. The quality of meals deserves Michelin stars. My family will never forget our stay here and we are already hoping to return again soon. Check in was a pleasure. The little extras in our room were so appreciated. The horseback excursion up the mountain was exhilarating. Sipping hot chocolate by the lake before bed is the stuff of dreams. This visit was only two days long but we will never forget it.

What a magnificent hotel. The location can't be bettered, our room had an amazing lake view. The in-room amenities were great but the bathroom could be more generous. The public amenities are gorgeous and luxurious. We especially enjoyed the living room for a relaxing evening. We are in the pub in the evening which is relaxed and informal, and breakfasted in the Louisa restaurant, they provided a amazing buffet and hot plates of delicious food. We have wanted to stay here for a very long time and it didn't disappoint.

A historical hotel in a magical location. It is nice hotel overall and they are doing great job keeping it up-to-date. It is overpriced for sure but enjoyable to stay in in summer or winter alike. There are many restaurants and small shops. The swimming pool with hot tub are a must. The service is good overall and the staff are friendly

Always a pleasure to visit this beautiful hotel. Service and food is always consistent and excellent. You can't beat the location! Lake Louise is beautiful all year round . Rooms and bathrooms are smaller as this is an old property so that is to be expected. There are still some rooms that have not been renovated and those are dated. However, the hotel itself and the very lovely team who works there more than make up for it . Way better value than the Banff Springs!

We had the most memorable experience here. The service was exceptional. My daughter broker her wrist skiing and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel special. Everyone here was friendly and made you feel at home. The food and service was excellent and the location and view you can not beat. Thank you for an amazing time and making us feel so comfortable under the circumstances.

Loved our stay here and this place exceeded the expectations. Lake Louise is beautiful and view from our room was perfect as well . Service is excellent . Stayed there in last October and it was high chances to see northern lights during our stay. When I talked to staff about northern lights then they went above and beyond to recommend near by place to see and it was spectacular. We loved the sandwiches and food at pantry. It was perfect to pack lunch for day hikes . Also loved the in room dinning service . I would definitely stay here again .

Perfection. We stayed on the 8th floor with views so astounding I could have spent my whole vacation looking out the window. Restaurants were excellent, service was excellent. My only comment on my stay is I wish they had more of a lunch menu, sure the steaks were amazing, but something can be said for some chicken strips or a veggie platter. Pool, hot tub and sauna were excellent. We went for a massage at the spa and were treated like royalty. Every employee literally wants nothing else but to make your stay better. Great job.

Gorgeous views but rooms are mediocre with tiny tiny tiny beds. Spent more to get a lake view suite is highly recommended. Pool is indoor, very small, with an ultra strong smell of pool bleach. Gym is next to it, also small, so no one is using it. Some rooms doesn’t have A/C and can get really hot. Especially during summer and heat waves in spring season. They do provide small portable A/C units in these rooms but doesn’t have proper set up for it. The tech didn’t set it up right and the exhaust hot air circles back into the room. I have to extend and re-adjust the exhaust hose so it points outward. But even so it’s still not a good set up and still feels hot at night. But it looks like they are remodeling the rooms so hopefully it won’t be the issue anymore. Restaurants got nice setting and amazing views, food is ok with reasonable pricing. Overall the hotel is really nice so do upgrade yourself to a lake view suite (best if you go for the corner suite) and you’ll be amazed at how beautiful Lake Louise is.

We were blown away by our amazing view of the lake from our room, and were relieved to be staying here for ease of parking and ease of access to things around the lake in general. Being able to cut straight to the front of the line for canoe rentals was a huge plus of staying here (otherwise people who weren't staying at the chateau were waiting at least 2 hours...no joke). The only reason for 4 stars is the never-ending throngs of people EVERYWHERE at all times. Unlike our experience at Moraine Lake Lodge or Emerald Lake Lodge, there never seemed to be any reprieve from people here. It was constantly packed inside and out. Also, the hot tub and steam room area was disappointingly small with no view. Anyways, we were still glad we stayed here, mostly for the ease of access and the stunning view from our room. If you only want to splurge on a single place in the area, I would pick Moraine Lake Lodge over Lake Louise. Not only were the accommodations more luxurious and worth the price, but Moraine Lake itself was much more stunning in our opinion.

I am so mixed about this review. There is a massive construction project doing on in front of the hotel. The first thing you will see driving up is a large red crane towering over the building. It isn’t the sight of the crane that bothered me, it is the construction noise all day for 12 hours. Not peaceful at all. Also, we wanted to go on the sunrise tour to moraine lake and we were told it was full. I went back to the desk to see if there was any kind of a waitlist and the attendant said yes. This wasn’t offered to me the first time around. Also, the second attendant said they could take the larger bus and so she felt certain we would be able to go. As far as I know, it only takes one person yo drive a bus and if a larger bus could have been taken to accommodate more guests, why wouldn’t this be done on a busy august weekend? Who is making the decisions needs to make better ones and the concierge staff needs to be trained to a consistent level on one of the hotels key offerings. Disappointed for sure. Lovely location.

This is the most beautiful location for a hotel! The view from our room of Lake Louise was stunning - it was like we were looking at a painting. We stayed 2 nights as part of our honeymoon, and it was excellent. The staff were so kind and made a big deal of our honeymoon celebrations! They were so welcoming and always happy to give you some advice about what's good to do nearby. We would love to come back again!

Beautiful hotel. The lake view room itself is worth a stay here. Breakfast is out of this world! However, we were not informed at all about the activities available to us (no email, text or verbal from check-in staff). Specifically it was the children's adventure activity. We later found out by seeing other children doing this in the lobby but it was too late for my kids as we had to check out soon. It's a small thing but why create such an interesting activity program if you are not going to let your guests know about it.

We stay for three nights. There were a couple minor issues, that were dealt with well. And then there was a major issue which was not the fault of the staff. But Matthew at the front desk did go above and beyond to have us leave with a positive experience. THANK YOU MATTHEW! Fairmont Matthew deserves a raise. You need to ensure you do not lose him at a member of the team. But I also feel the hotel needs a hotel dog. Other staff tell me the manager is not a dog person and that's the reason for not having a resident dog. I think the price is worth it for having access to the mountains and the lake, that image that is one of the one of the images of Canada. However the hotel is a hotel unless you are there for an event the access to lake is the only thing that makes this resort worth staying. I did feel the lounge closed early way to early. And some of the menus were not good for visually impaired people.

A first-class hotel. Top-notch service from all people, with a fantastic view of Lake Louise and the mountains. Excellent food and accommodations. I had a discrepancy on my bill and Tom, the Outlet Supervisor, was expedient and helpful in ensuring everything was taken care of. The parking valet was also very polite and left bottled waters in my vehicle. I will certainly be staying here again.

Stayed the night as part of a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. The was great but only a portable air-conditioning unit very noisy. Had breakfast great view but the food not very good considering the price. Found out if a guest you can get free coffee or tea up the stair by main desk, also a nice sitting area. The view from our room was excellent.

Amazing. From start to finish, the hotel and its staff provided exceptional service that went far and beyond my expectations. Everyone from the restaurant staff, to the concierge, to the equipment rental staff were all incredibly polite and went out of their way to be extra friendly and helpful. I proposed to my now-fiancee while at the hotel, and they did everything they possibly could to make it unforgettable. We'll be back!

Undergoing a large amount of building work. Great view of car park from our room. Had to insist on a dinner reservation, they seemed more happy to serve walk in people than guests paying $1000 per night. Too many none guests walking in hotel, and using facilities Not worth the money to stay at this hotel. Didn't actually speak to a Canadian, plenty of foreign staff that just didn't care.

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. It was very quiet and neat. The view of the lake was fantastic and so beautiful! All of our waiters/waitresses at all the various restaurants were very nice, especially Julia. She was very friendly and checked on us often. We are looking forward to coming back again!

We did not stay here but went inside to look around and to warm up after walking around the lake. Very nice and upscale interior, lots of shops and food items. Inquired with concierge about the area and he was very friendly and informative. Various areas under construction at the moment inside and out so would inquire about room bookings that may have construction views.

This property is absolutely stunning. We came to celebrate a special occasion November 3, 2023 and were treated so kindly. We got a room upgrade which was a lake view room on the top floor which was absolutely incredible and a special gift delivered to the room as well. The room was on the small side but it didn't matter because the view was spectacular. Service every where was so good, everyone was great. The pool and hot tub are tucked away, would love to see an outdoor hot tub if I wanted to get real picky. If you're thinking of treating yourself, come here, it's worth it. We had a couple drinks and the meat and cheese platter in the Lakeview lounge. Cocktails are pricey but delicious and the board was enormous and also delicious. The building is so gorgeous and clean. It was a beautiful stay. Thank you so much!

Our family of 4 stayed 3 nights in a Mount Temple suite which included a large beautiful unobstructed view of Lake Louise. Each evening we had light snow which created a wonderful snow globe like setting. The hotel and staff were amazing. We enjoyed the extra amenities such as the shuttle service to and from ski Lake Louise, the spa and skating. Hiking and skating on Lake Louise were great as the view was outstanding and the conditions were very good. We enjoyed the dining and drinking options and found the overall value to be fair. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to get away from the daily rush to be in a very friendly environment with unlimited outdoor activities. The staff are very well trained and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Notable staff members who made our stay extra special include Bree, Step, Huey, Erin and Jasper. We look forward to returning to Chateau Lake Louise again.

My husband and I booked a couple nights here to celebrate our birthdays and the Chateau went above and beyond for us! All of the food and drinks were amazing and the breathtaking views all around. I loved the free guided wellness activities and hikes available and cramp ons upon request. Everything about this stay was amazing and we look forward to returning!! 😁

Very happy with the hotel, our room was clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.They offer recreational activities and have shuttles that can take you to places around lake Louise, which is very helpful if you don’t have a car. The views of the lake and mountains are amazing, definitely worth the stay!

Absolutely stunning! This hotel is beautiful and the view right outside your window is breathtaking! The restaurant inside is a great place to warm up and have lunch after visiting the lake. The service was AMAZING, each server was so friendly and extremely professional. The food was on the pricier end, comes with being at a 5-star hotel. I wouldn’t say the food blew me away, but it’s definitely fancy! We paid $24 for a small bowl of soup, I personally wouldn’t get it again, but it was part of being at the hotel. Again, the view is what you’re paying for. Absolutely…STUNNING.

Skiing here is fantastic! I can understand why this place is considered the best Canadian ski resort of the country. Not only are the views fantastic, but the range and span of the runs here are so vast. From moguls, to forest, to dips, to groomed areas, there is something there for everyone at every level. There are free guided tours during the day. 2 departures. One at 10:15 the other at 13:15. They last about 2hours and the people who guide you are very knowledgeable not only of the mountain but also other areas from history to geology, and more. Very friendly. Afterall, they are called ski friends. There are also 4 levels. Green, Blue, double blue, and black. I highly recommend bringing your own snacks and food unless you want to pay resort type costs. Parking is free unless you want VIP parking (closer to the main entrance). The walk isn't too bad from the parking lot to the main lodge.

The mountain is amazing. The service is well organized. We spend half a day trying different runs and nothing got repetitive. The views are so beautiful you just want to stop and admire.Next time definitely a full day for this awesome ski resort.

Some of the best views I’ve come across in a ski resort. Lots of runs in a variety of terrain. If you like powder and trees you’re in for a treat. We went in the second half of April and parking wasn’t an issue. Had to walk maybe five minutes max to the gondola.

The gondola was a great experience. It provided an amazing view of lake Louise. It's commonly known for the grizzly bears in the area. There are some hiking trails at the top. I had the great luck of seeing a mama grizzly with her cub and also a deer. 2 styles of gondola, open and inclosed. The guide at the top of the mountain was friendly and helpful. He had great bears stories to tell. He even took a picture of our group for us.

Amazing views of the mountains range. Easy to access. Lots of parking. Food and drink on site. Do yourself a favour and skip the Banff Gondola and come to this one instead.

It was a nice 15 minute Gondola ride. Coming back down was the best as you had the view of Lake Louise. Few trails to choose from once you go up and great views. Saw some elks on the way.

What a great place to see the mountains! You have the option to use the gondola or an open-air chair to go up the mountain; I took the open-air chair both ways and felt safe. You’ll get the most spectacular views on the way up the mountain and on the way down, and that’s in addition to the main show at the top.

Ski resort is awesome. The log building are extraordinary. Took a gondola up the mountain for views, saw 2 bears. Nice gravel trails, bear fencing, great view platform. Unfortunately the bistro and deck were closed for the season. Would recommend.

I visited Banff to go skiing here. OK it was amazing and it was literally literally the best skiing experience in my whole life . Everybody says skiing in Japan is also good but I would say the bill from the top at the ski resort was insanely beautiful. Also by conjuring on the back of the mountain was making me feel like I'm at the different planet.

I was disappointed! All the ads suggested that I’d have a great chance of seeing wildlife, especially grizzly bears and I didn’t see any bears. Not even a deer. I saw a squirrel and a gray Jay. It was a beautiful ride though and the scenery was spectacular. The Wildlife Interpretive Center was great and even offered free coffee and hot chocolate. The restaurant at the main building was fair. I had a burger there. Had to wait a while for it. There’s a lovely gift shop. There’s supposed to be a restaurant at the top but it was closed.

Lake Louise Ski Resort is a total blast! The views are unreal – seriously, you’ll want to snap a pic at every turn. The slopes cater to everyone, from beginners to pros, so no one’s left out. The lines move fast, so you can spend more time shredding and less time waiting. Just a heads up, it can get pretty crowded, so if you’re not into that scene, maybe check out another hill. But overall, it’s a solid five stars from me!

Skied at Lake Louise last week, even though the ski conditions were not good we had a lot of fun. The free ski tour program allows new comers to explore the mountain with resident experts. We enjoyed two great days exploring with very friendly guides. Shoutout to Sarah, Dave, Andrew. This program is awesome. We will be back hopefully when the snow is better!

Beginners BEWARE! The green trails here are for “advanced beginners” I would say. I write this review from my “beginner/sporadic skier” point of view. The magic carpet is great and actually has a pretty nice area, you can take a second magic carpet for a longer run. After that the “easiest” green is easy street which starts out pretty flat but then it becomes somewhat steep. It merges with the last part of an advanced run, so go figure lol. It’s doable and we enjoyed it a lot but would not even try the other greens which I’ve been told are even a little more difficult. I liked it because it was a challenge for me and I think it helped me progress but some people may find it overwhelming. The service however is great, the staff is super friendly and well organized. The views are breathtaking. Overall a great experience. Oh! They offer a “progression” pass which includes only the magic carpet and easy street. You can upgrade it later (paying the difference) if you find easy street too easy for you. I probably should have done that.

Dont you have money to do proper parking? Revenue $15M/year. Seriously? Mud? I bought ticket for $146 and have to walk to car in mud? Sunshine dosent have that problem - so its possible. Man washroom stinks. You can smell urine before you enter to washroom. How hard is manage it? I was there 4 times this year and nothing changed. Its permanently odor. Again, Sunshine never had that problem - so its possible. Maybe you should change name: Lake Urine Ski Resort?

Absolutely fantastic ski resort for experienced skiers/boarders! Black runs are gorgeous if you got lucky to catch a snowfall! For the first timers, it might be a bit steep and pricey to learn. However, instructors are world top class 👏 My wife took private ski lessons, and our instructor Louie from GB was even able to challenge me at the same time to ski without one ski, haha. That was an awesome experience! Thanks, Louie! The best time is 8.30 am lessons, when you are the first on the slope. P.S. For all Sask folks, there is a prerrie pass which gives 20% discount and a free 3rd and 7th day. This is a bargain! + Also, the parking lot is enormous, no stress finding a spot 👌 - The lounge zones and restaurants are very busy, European Alpaine food courts/ ski in-out restaurants are organized much-much better. This is probably the only one concern from my side...

It was our family's first time to visit Lake Louise Ski resort and we had to book our daughter for a day of childcare at the resort's daycare. Booking my daughter was a breeze, Kate and the other ladies were very responsive to my inquiries. When its time to drop my daughter at dc, the lady at the front was very accommodating, let me in and was greeted by Kate. My daughter started crying as it was her first time meeting the ladies but Kate reassured me that my daughter will be fine. My daughter was sleeping when I went to pick her up, the ladies gave me an update on how my girl's day went and even tracked her sleep time. My toddler was happy and even told me that she liked playing with the other babies. I was amazed and impressed at how the ladies took care of my daughter and the kids at daycare in general. They are knowledgeable and well-trained and I would highly recommend this daycare. I can see myself as a repeat customer in the near future. Thank you so much for the awesome service!

Thank you for this wonderful experience. Our son really enjoyed the 2 days in this daycare and this was his first experience being in a daycare. I definitely recommend this daycare where the stuff is professional and positive. We enjoyed 2 days of ski with our older son, knowing that our toddler is doing just fine in a warm and welcoming environment. We know where to go next year again 👌

Skied and snowboarded for the day! snow was fabulous-short lift lines. Our daughter had a snowboard coaching session with Cameron from the snow school and she thoroughly enjoyed it-she is an intermediate/advanced snowboarder. Food at Whiskey Jack lodge was excellent-they had 3 different types of buffets available. Everything was fresh and tasty, not your typical skihill track food. Highly recommend A family ski vacation.

BEWARE! The daycare: They overfed my 2 year old son (and the lady in the front desk admitted so) and he had, according to the same lady, a small vomit, to the point they didn’t even change his clothes at all because it didn’t even get dirty. When I picked him up I was informed about the situation, I asked a few questions and talked to the lady and we concluded that it was because he ate too much. She told me that if he had another vomit during the rest of the day/night, I wasn’t going to be allowed to drop my son off the next morning (which totally made sense to me). That night we went to a restaurant and had dinner. We also had breakfast at the hotel the next morning. My son ate a big dinner and breakfast, had plenty of liquid, normal BMs and no fever, very active and ZERO signs of being sick AT ALL. The next morning the lady wasn’t there and I had to talk to a different lady who claimed she was the manager of the childcare and the one “who makes the decisions in there” and she completely refused to take my son that day because “he was sick”. I told her everything that I mentioned here and she gave me an absolute NO, which pissed me off because we were travelling from overseas and we were going to ski for only 2 days in the entire vacation. The previous day we only had time to do 3 runs as the place was COMPLETELY AND RIDICOULOSLY PACKED, TO THE POINT THAT WE SPENT TWO HOURS MAKING THE LINE TO RENT THE SKI EQUIPMENT, after dropping the kids off at the childcare and booking their ski lessons. We started skiing that first day at 12:30pm and we had arrived the place at 9:30am. The like to get on the ski lift was ridiculous as well. We spent money in a hotel and also the ski rental for the second day only to find out that this brainless “manager” was not going to take my son even though HE WASN’T SICK AT ALL, just because she has mental problems and believed that agreeing with me to take him was going to mean that she wasn’t going to be the one “making decisions” in the childcare and also because the lady is a total racist and discriminates little children (2 years old) just because!!!!!!! My niece (3 years old) came back home saying that she didn't like the daycare because they were not nice with her and she was crying when we dropped her off the second day. After she came back, she made the same comments and added that the teacher spilled some soup on her clothes. A minute after we arrived to pick the kids up, they returned her pants to us right after putting them in the dryer (they didn't wash the pants, just put the dirty pants in the dryer). My daugter (also 3 yo) was also unhappy to stay at the daycare the second day. She kept saying that she didn't want to go to that school anymore. As I mentioned, the line to rent the ski gear was TOTALLY RIDICULOUS! It took us TWOOO COMPLETE HOURS to get the equipment. After that, we had to make another line on a different building/register, to buy the ski lift tickets! Ski store had 25 people in line waiting to pay at the register! We didn’t even bother trying to buy water or coffee and even less food during the day because the lines were ridiculous and forget about an empty table to seat with the family. We booked the ski lessons for my little daughter (3 years old) 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon, and I couldn’t feel more like I TOTALLY WASTED MY MONEY on that TOO. They didn't pay attention to her and she spent more than 50% of the time literally sitting by herself and waiting for the instructor to come back and talk to her. She only went down the hill ONE time in the 40 minutes I was there watching and the rest of the time ALL BY HERSELF sitting on the snow or standing WITHOUT THE SKIS!!! The WHOLE MOUNTAIN was covered in HARD ICE and wasn't nice to ski like that. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR: DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY IN LAKE LOUISE AND EVEN LESS IF YOU LEAVE OVERSEAS. PLAN A TRIP TO OTHER SKI RESORTS IN THE UNITED STATES WHICH ARE FAR BETTER, WELL MAINTAINED AND ENJOY STAFF MEMBERS WITH THINKING CAPABILITIES.
